Kenzie watched Morrigan attentively trying to see what he was going to do next. He just seemed to be socializing right now which wasn't very entertaining. To her the way he spoke now wasn't right, those types of words should never come out of his mouth. But none the less she followed closely behind him to see what he was going to do. She barely understood what Morrigan and the other guy were talking about though the one thing she did understand was that he was asking about one person.
She crouched down in the shadows off the side of the door and watched him intently. How could she screw up his day? She was brave and adventurous at one point but something screamed at her that this guy was dangerous and that the worst thing she could possibly do was to fuck with him. But she ignored that little voice in her head and was going to do it regardless.

Morrigan walked calmly to the young man behind the tree and touches the him on the back. "I'm sorry bud, but its your time to go". A violet mist came from Morrigan's hand as he held it to the guys spine. of course no one other than spirit creatures such as himself could see it. the guy crippled instantly to the ground twitching. The alcohol coursing through is veins systematically shutting down his brain, then lungs, and finally his heart. Morrigan calmly strode away.
With all the commotion from everyone rushing outside to the dying fellow's aid, Morrigan saw an opportunity to appease his now pissed off supervisor. As he shadowed himself back into the spirit world, he shoved one of the frat boys into a mess of half filled liquor bottles on the counter, causing them to spill into the lit fireplace. Morrigan exited the house as flames slowly crept out the open windows and licked its exterior.

As she watched him walk up to the drunk kid against the tree she wondered what he was going to do next. She moved a little bit out of her hiding to get a better look but as the kid dropped she had to contain herself from not running over to him. She didn't want to let Morrigan know that she was following him. Once he walked away from the now passed out kid she walked up to him and leaned over to see what she could do. As the kid convulsed and then just stopped everything all together she realized that there was nothing that she could do 'Well damn...there goes that plan' she turned around to follow Morrigan once again.
Just as she started to walk towards him thinking that she could at least pester him to piss him off she noticed a guy stumbling and then the unbelievable happened. Red and orange flames started to lick out at the party guests. Some fled others were in the middle almost trapped. Kenzie ran into the house not knowing what to do, what could she do. She was a spirit that couldn't scream for help or touch anything. Her head whipped about wildly trying to figure something out. All of a sudden a calm came over her as strong words resounded in her head 'Gran' she whispered and then like that a light bulb went on. Kenzie ran through the house looking for anything that could help her. A remote lay on the floor she leaned over and tried to pick it up but it wouldn't work 'God dammit' she screamed and threw her hands up then something odd happened. The remote flew across the room and turned the tv on, just as she hoped the nature channel came on and they were doing a feature on the sea. Water that was a good sign. Then she walked into the kitchen and once again threw her hands up and the faucets came off. 'Maybe a little over kill' she said to herself but water began to spray every where dousing the fire just enough for the rest of the kids to run out of the house.
Satisfied with herself she walked out of the house calmly looking around for Morrigan. She wanted to see his face, she wanted him to know it was her who saved all those people.

Morrigan turned once he heard a loud hiss. There she was standing there in the doorway of a now drenched and burnt house. He knew this was her doing. "You, you were supposed to be underground right now!" he yelled. "I wish you would just do what you're supposed to do, why do you feel like torturing me?!" Morrigan knew he would hear about this. things like this just don't happen everyday, and it would come off bad for those who ruled the underworld.
He stopped for a second and thought. It's been a long time since there's been a new hunter, and she's already displayed power, not control however. There were far easier ways to accomplish what she was hoping for. "I have a business proposal to make". he said, "How would you like to become what I am?"

She sauntered up to him with a huge smile on her face 'well who ever told you that I do what I'm told. I'm here to fuck up your day just as you had mine' she bluntly told him. She didn't care what he thought or wanted but whatever plans he had for her she was sure to do the opposite and piss him off. So he got in trouble, it's not her problem she's dead. She doesn't have to care about anything or anyone anymore.
Kenzie's jaw went slack. How could he even propose something like that? She was appalled that he would even say something like to her when she had clearly prevented him from killing anyone. She stepped away from him 'You've got to be kidding me!' She screamed a little louder then she meant to 'You kill people! I would never do that...I-I could never live with myself if I had your job...ugh' she turned and started to walk away from him. Now she couldn't even think of pissing him off today. She just wanted to get away from him, to run any where that was far from him.

Morrigan knew he had to do something. He had to either get her to the underworld for processing, or bring her down to sign for the job. A sly remark came to his head. Should he say it? He knew no matter what he had to at least keep her around him so he could show Anubis some progress. "look, love". He said in an almost unnoticeable English accent. He paused for a second, trying to choose his words carefully. For the first time in years, no, centuries he was actually thinking about the consequences of his actions. Something came over him. Something about her made him recall, and miss, his own life before his hunting contract started. "Why don't you just stick by me, we'll get this figured out". He said hesitantly, hoping it wouldn't add to her already upset mood and misconceived understanding of what actually happens when people die and the balance death brings to life. he adds sincerely, "I can show you what happens behind the curtain of life".

She crossed her arms and glared at him, she was about to snap at the fact that he called her love but something told her it was just something that he did. She listened to his words but she knew no matter what he said she wasn't going to like it. Kenzie had already decided that she didn't like this guy what ever he was and her plan was to make sure that he couldn't kill anyone anymore or that she would say as many as she could.
She fixed him with a bored expression 'I've already got it figure out and I don't need your help on this' she said in a slight pissy tone. She uncrossed her arms, it might be fun to see what goes on afterwords but then again death was death what could be good about that. She sighed heavily thinking about this. She really didn't have anything to do...not that she could do anything or go see anyone. She might as well tag along and entertain herself for a little bit. 'Sure why not' she said with no emotion behind her words.

Morrigan thought about what to show her first. He knew that if he took her to the underworld, Anubis would take her immediately from him and begin her processing. The only problem was that her seeing that death isn't as miserable as it seems was the only way she would change her mind about his job. The only way to get her into the underworld temporarily was to not let Anubis see her, which was hard because he stood right in front of the only entrance. Maybe if Anubis just couldn't see her. Maybe he could find a way to make her not look like herself, and have the Gods of the underworld not catch on. This was going to be some trick, Morrigan had never done a change of appearance on anyone besides himself and definitely not for as long as he needed this one to be.
Morrigan looked seriously at Kenzie and said, "I'm going to show you something, I need you to keep your eyes completely focused on it. It's going to be bright, just to warn you." Morrigan thought about what he was saying and thinking and realized that he should fill her in on what was to come and how they were getting there. "The first and most important thing I'm going to show you is what really happens after people die. I'm about to take you to where I've been telling you to go, but only for long enough for me to show you around down there and then we'll be back. My boss is the only problem, he stands at the front gate and never moves. He would definitely notice you if we were to just waltz by him and he would take you and keep you there against your will. I'm going to try something to get you past him without him noticing. Just to warn you, I've never done this on anyone besides myself, and I've only done it to myself for a short period of time, you've witnessed it before. I'm going to make you look like someone else". Morrigan took a deep breath and asked Kenzie, "are you ready?"

She listened to him and felt like she should take a breath for him but then he finished his explanation. She felt a little overwhelmed by all of it and some how she was able to keep up with him. He mentioned something about changing her appearance and she wasn't even sure that was possible but he had done it just a little bit ago.
Kenzie was now feeling very nervous about going with him and she wished that it didn't involve her going down there. She sighed heavily and looked him square in the eye You promise that you will bring me back here....to the living right? Or is this some trick of yours to get me to go down there cause if that's the case then you can go fuck yourself''

Morrigan chuckled at her last comment. "With that stunt you pulled at that frat house, you can feel secure that I'm going to keep you by my side for a while, you're far too strong to just go into another life". He sighed and began to unbutton his shirt. "Now remember, don't look away from it even for a second". As Morrigan opened his half unbuttoned shirt, a bright royal purple light emanated from the middle of his chest. He began to concentrate on the appearance of a witch he knew who often made astral trips to the underworld. He focused on the woman's black hair and the bone structure of her face. He moved his attention down to her torso, concentrating on the blouses she likes to wear. Then down to her skirt, black with silver inlays. Lastly, he drew focus on her voice, the tone, pitch, and timbre. Every infinitesimal detail to make certain she would be a flawless copy. Morrigan pushed his image of the witch onto Kenzie through the manifestation crystal embedded in his sternum. Just as he imagined, when he opened his eyes, Kenzie was gone and Lucy was standing before him.

Well she was glad to know that she was needed because of something she did when she was mad. She never thought that her anger would pay off one day. Her cheeks started to redden when she heard his words finally and when she quickly looked at what he was doing she turned away from him for a split second but had to look back. It was so bright it was hard not to shield her eyes away. She was also curious as to what he was doing and where that ungodly bright light was coming from. But she kept her mouth shut as he had closed his eyes as if he was concentrating. 'Well?' She questioned when he had opened his eyes 'What did you do exactly?' She asked and then realized that her voice sounded different then it had before. Somehow it had gone a pitch higher then her's. She looked down at herself to see if there was anything else different and noticed that she was in a skirt 'You PERV!' She screamed and tried to pull the skirt down lower. She was now way out of her comfort zone 'And what the hell with this accomplish?!'

Morrigan held up his hand. "Calm down, relax, I didn't just change your outfit, and it wasn't just for my amusement". A mirror appeared between them from his open hand. "look, I had to completely change you into someone else". He said as he made the mirror return to mist. "You are now a witch I know named Lucy, I'm sorry, I had to make you as believable as possible. My bosses are Very hard to fool, and short skirts are what she likes to wear. To add, she's the only mortal who comes and goes from the underworld at her will, so she was really my only choice". Morrigan thought more about the spell he had just cast, "now, I don't know how long this will last, so we better get a move on".

She still didn't like the fact that she was in a short skirt. She couldn't even remember the last time she had worn a skirt...well the fact was she hadn't worn much else beside sweat pants and a t-shirt since she was moved to the hospital. Part of her actually felt girly again wearing a skirt. She let the emotion drain from her face as she looked up at him 'Lead the way' she said just staring at him making sure that there was no amusement in his eyes at what she was dressed in. Though the fact was that it wasn't actually her dressed like that but it still felt to her that she was the one dressing in a short skirt. 'Well you better make it a quick trip cause I would like to be back in my own close as soon as possibly' plus going down there would probably give her the willies.

Morrigan nodded and grabbed her hand to lead her down. They appeared in a dark hallway accented by gold plates on the wall. Before them, a tall, dark dog-man stood with an ankh in one hand and a round scythe in the other. "Morrigan, what brings you back so soon? The night is not half over". Anubis said with frustration in his eyes. Morrigan responded with, "Lucy, the living witch wishes to enter, and as law states, she must be accompanied by a resident guide. She requested me by name, sire". "Is that so?" Anubis replied. His frustration turned to disappointment as he knew the law could not be overturned unless by Osiris and a living witch's requests must without question be met. He then bowed to Kenzie and said, "enter then, mortal, for you are welcome here. I must ask with respect to you however, please make your visit timely for our hunter must return to his work". The doors in front of them swung open with a bright white light and they stepped inside.
The hallway opened up into a whole world with blue skies, running tributaries, and lush vegetation. the smell of incense, flowers and sweet foods and drinks filled the air. people reposed themselves upon wicker lawn chairs, laughing and talking of times past, from their last life and those before for the complete knowledge of one's past is only attainable through death. Among them, no sick, elderly or injured sat. All were in perfect health and happiness.
Morrigan turned to Kenzie and explained. "You see, death is not as horrible as the living make it out to be, in fact, the longer one lives, the sicker and older they get. Not to mention the fact that their deeds will be remembered forever by all. Death gives everyone the ability to move on and start anew".

She looked up at dog man and wanted to screech but she kept her cool and stood a little closer to Morrigan. At this moment he didn't look as bad as she thought he had in the first place. All Kenzie could do was smile and look at the odd creature. She was glad when the started to walk away and he began to show her around.
Kenzie was surprised at the fact that it wasn't as dark as she thought it was going to be but death still creeped her out. Did these people know they were dead? And if so weren't they missing their loved ones? She knew that she would. She wasn't done with the living world. She still had plans that she wanted to see through, she still had people that she wanted to say good bye to. The doctor's had given her three more months to live when Morrigan took her, it still wasn't fair in her mind and no matter what he showed her she was not going to come here.
She looked at Morrigan and still held a very stern look on her face. He could say what ever he wanted but she was still going to do what she wanted. "That's nice and all but I still don't see why you had to show me this. It's not like seeing this is going to change my mind about things. It's great that this place isn't all dark and gloomy the way people make it out to be but there are still draw backs that I see" She looked away from him to continue looking around the place.
