Anger surged through the woman as she strode purposely through the street; lips pursed her nostrils flared in anger as her brown hair bobbed to the wind. The nerve of Sameth how dare he demand such a request of her. Arms crossed over her chest she paused faltering mid step managing to keep her calm. His scent ever so strong filled her nostrils as she turned impatiently brown eyes fixed angrily onto his. " Adeliyah I need your help."
Well of course he did. She didn't have that terrific reputation that surrounded her for nothing. She was a damned good vampire hunter, and on the sly a terrific bounty hunter. What ever challenged she'd been faced with she'd pulled of successfully. That was until like the drop of a hat she'd quit that life, finished her schooling, continued her studying and then took up nursing. Quite different to the life they'd once led indeed.
" If what you are saying is true then why has father not intervened." One did not just waltz into the council with demands that Sameth requested of her. " Adeliyah like it or not your his heir and he is a pack leader. " Blah blah blah, tuning out the rest of the sentence she turned her back rudely to her brother once more resuming her walking. Did he think she forgot of her heritage? Their father was one of the were-lords for this section of the city, all those who had dog blood in their genes such as she a werewolf and those alike them the were-jackals fell under his lead. When his reign was at an end presuming he wasn't overthrown in a mutiny the pack was meant to be hers.
Only she'd left and she'd been made an outcast. Now their father desired her help. The nerve of them. Even for Sameth it was a low dog act. " Okay.." She began slowly a hand running through her long brown hair. " I give...what is it you want?"
With a self satisfied smirk Sameth crossed his arms. " I want your help sister." He replied evenly. " Yes. I got that Sameth. Now what of it?" Not one to beat around the bush she watched him with a cautious expression. Their father was a ruthless ruler, you never turned a human without permission as the consequence was dire. You never breed without keeping the line pure or else the same consequences applied. Weak pups had the possibility of being culled. Only the best of the best ever survived in his world it was a dog eat dog world. Shifting she gave a cautious look to the sky. Was this perhaps an assassination. Had she grown expandable. Was banishing her not enough?
" Father has many enemies as you know.." Pretty words though all together suspicious why was her kid brother standing before her looking so nervous. " Sameth what is it you want. No games." Maybe it was harsh. Too think how close they had been before and now all this distrust. " Father is sick..he is growing old and has made many enemies. The council is no longer as...controlled as it once was." Raising her eyebrows she looked at her brother waiting for him to continue as she thought over his words. At best her father was an inconceivable asshole, but he ruled the pack with iron fists. They knew the laws hell he was a lord what was threatening all this.
" The council lords are their own rulers. You wish for my help. I will not. I have a different life now." Was her secret not hard enough to keep without her brother threatening to ruin the life she had created. " Father said you might say such a thing. I'll merely ask that you reconsidered where your loyalties lie sister. The pack needs help. Would you really turn your back on family. " Stepping away he sneered. " Or are you really a common mutt now. Titles, thats what you had but the life you lead you are nothing. You less then a human." Disgusted he spat on the ground. " I will return I hope you have a different answer for me then."
Head reeling she watched as her brother disappeared back into the shadows hopefully returning to where he'd come from. Taking a moment to register what had just happened, her brothers hidden threats she took a quick look at her watch. " Oh Jesus." Seriously that was the time. She was so screwed. There was no way she could get back to her apartment and drive to work on time. It wasn't humanly possible..Human just this once could she risk it. After all this time did she have the guts to change.
Taking a deep breathe she willed her body into the form of a wolf. Once the transformation was simple, now it caused a slight agonizing pain. Tail wagging she released the air she'd been holding. A wolf was fast a were was faster with supernatural strength. She could run without the risk of being seen.
Racing along the street she moved at an alarmingly fast pace. That was her one true gift her speed. Never mind that some were got powerful abilities she was quite happy with what she had.
Reaching her destination she stopped walking at a much slower rate searching intently for that one great, amazing, safe place one could hide to transform back into their human counter part. Daringly she walked past humans blocking out their scent ignoring their stunned looks before she disappeared behind a row of buildings. Transforming she stepped out smoothing out her clothes. " Adeliyah, Adeliyah did you see that beautiful wolf?"
Feeling giddy surprised at how much she missed running in that form she looked up at her colleague. " Natalie a wolf in the city. Seriously?" Shaking her head she walked over to her friend linking arms with her. " Were going to be late come on quickly. Half leading/ dragging her friend to wards the main entrance she quickly pulled her into the elevator pressing the button to the ward. " I do hope that woman isn't on again. I seriously hated working with her." Natalie began. " But that doctor is going to be there again. He's rostered on today and he was a drop dead cutie." She added. " Huh..a new doctor?" Not particularly caring for the humans looks, more the fact that she had to deal with another one she looked at Natalie carefully. " Dish what's he like?" They were friends for a reason. Natalie had the biggest mouth ever and gossiped like there was no tomorrow but she was easy to get information on people. Natalie would know of the doctors personality already. If he was okay that she could deal with, another drama addict doctor not so much.

Let The Lies Burn On Empty Ears and Die Before They Are Heard The moon glared brightly down from the starless sky. The beauty of the night couldn't be seen in the city. It was something that Saxum missed from his old country, still after the few short years. Right now though, that thought was not present in his mind. Shaky breaths were coming from him as he tried to regain his composer up on the roof of the hospital. It was his third death that night. Of course it hadn't been his fault at all. The letters all lined up perfectly to spell death. Sighing some, he stared at the moon. The feral beast inside of him stirred some, the longing to go out and run through the trees on all fours. To smell the dirt and plants; tracking your prey.
Shaking his head suddenly, he tried to suppress a growl, his honey golden eyes glowing for a moment. It had been nearly two years since he had succumbed to his inner desires. He had banned himself from it until the circumstances were right. It had been his fault of course that his old clan had died out. It had been him shifting at the wrong moment and wrong time. He refused to do it again, unless it was needed of him.
Shivering at the light wind, he walked back down into the building, grabbing a clip board as he walked passed one of the nurses stations. Though it had been a tough night, he had been through worse. At times he questioned why he had become a doctor but the answer was always the same. Despite the despair and death that he was faced with, he had a wanting, a will to help those who needed it. He always had. It was a part of his special gift.
Checking up on a few patients, he waited for the nurses to switch shifts, wondering with whom he would be working with tonight. He had only been working here for a few days and yet he had been accepted by most of the other employees. He had detested some of the other doctors here though. They were always so full of gossip and drama, acting like they were a part of the Grey's Anatomy TV show. Shaking his head as he passed one of the worst offenders, he walked into a particular patients room. This one was in a coma and had been for some time now. Checking everything himself, not waiting for a nurse, he tried to figure out what was ailing the poor man.
Time went by quickly and before Saxum knew it he was being called by one of the nurses. "Sam, Ms. Tallie needs to have a doctor present while being interviewed for surgery." She told him, exiting the door quickly. He still sometimes forgot his name was Sam to the humans. It was what he went by, not liking the sound of his true name on the tongues of humans. They never said it with the grace that it needed as such, they made it sound brutish. Plus, Sam sounded much more normal than Saxum. Brushing back his disheveled dark brown hair, he walked out into the hall way, scratching his thin stubble of a goatee. ((I hope this works for you. If you don't want him to be a were I can change that. I assumed he was to be the doctor as well. Love the post ^.^))

Tossing her brown hair over her shoulders Adeliyah blinked rubbing her eyes as she stepped out of the life. Natalie certiantly hadn't spared any detail as she delivered the dish on the new doctor. As Natalie made her way towards the staff lockers she departed to the nurses station. " Your on this side of the ward. Were waiting on a doctor to check on beds 5 and 10. " Getting the rest of the information on the patients she took one of the medical charts.
" Alright Natalie medication time." Grabbing the chart she followed Natalie into the cubicles. " Mrs Fields. Regular pain medication. Dosages of morphine every four hours or when requested. " With a nod of her head she got the dosage of medicine distributing it as Natalie watched. " Mrs Fields the doctor will be in to see you shortly." She spoke politely. Scanning the womans chart she gave her a small sympathetic smile. Car accident, broken bones..ouch no wonder she looked so miserable.
Exiting the room she gave a small frustrated sigh. " I'm waiting on X-rays to come back for Mrs Fields and a doctor to finally see her." With the right mind to rip into the next doctor she saw she continued with the medication round.
As her pager beeped she quickly rushed back to Mrs Fields room. " Adeliyah she's complaining of sharp pains." Natalia explain. " Mrs Fields where does it hurt?" She asked softly. As the woman pointed to her chest and stomach she nodded her head. " Page the doctor are those x rays bacK I think she has a punctured lung."

The surgical interview hadn't taken nearly as long as Saxum had expected. It went well and the woman could get the surgery that she needed to stay alive. It was unlikely that she would have any complications as well which made it possibly the best choice. Sighing some, he scratched the back of his head. He had been moving non stop for the past few hours, minus the short break he had taken to calm himself, and was now debating a trip to the cafeteria. It was slow right now and all of his patients were stable.
Though of course his night wasn't going to turn that easy. His pager beeped and he sobered up as he looked at it. He picked up his pace, practically running towards the proper room. He had checked up on Mrs. Fields an hour ago and was still waiting on the x-rays. Now that he thought about it, it was ridiculous how long it was taking the technician. He was going to have to have a word with him.
Entering the room quickly with his white coat furling out behind him, he grabbed the chart off the end of the bed, not quite ignoring the nurse there but waiting for her to tell him what was going on. though he noticed the shortness of breath and had remembered that she had been in a car accident. Walking up to her, he smiled gently. "I need to check your sides for bruising. Since your x-rays haven't come back yet, I can't be sure, but you might had a few broken ribs as well." The woman just nodded and he lifted up her shirt some. There was an ugly botching bruise present on her right side. Inwardly grimacing, Saxum got an oxygen mask and put it on the woman's head. "This should help you with breathing." He told her calmly, and then walked over towards the nurse, gently touching her back and pushing towards the door, though only briefly. He wanted to talk with her, outside of the patients hearing range, however he did a double take when he saw her. She was absolutely gorgeous, above any one else he had seen in this hospital. He pushed that out of his mind though as it was inappropriate for what was going on now.
"Who is the tech that's on duty?" He questioned the nurse, not bothering to introduce himself yet as he was more worried about the patient and he had his ID badge on. "I need those x-rays and if I don't get them I can't tell how big the hole in her lung is. By how she is breathing I think there is too much air in between her lung tissue and chest cavity for me to just sit and wait on it." He was thoughtful for a moment, a brief lapse of anger flashing across his face. It was obvious that he was tired but he seemed to be mentally capable of still working. "I need you to go run down and get those x-rays. I'm afraid I might murder him if I go..." He almost muttered but the his head turned towards the patients room, his enhanced hearing picking up on sounds that indicated that she was getting worse. "Never mind. I need you to get a small bore needle and a syringe please." He said hurriedly as he rushed back into the patients room. "Mrs. Fields. Mrs.Fields can you hear me?" He asked her, then cursed as he found that she was out. Now he just had to wait for his tools and then suck out the excess air. If that didn't work, he would most likely have to tube her. Saxum really hoped that she didn't need surgery for it, it would be a not so fun recovery.

Was it to much to ask for to not have a patient die on her tonight. Rubbing her temple she checked the womans stats as they waited for the doctor. As he entered the room she dutifully chose to ignore Natalie's whispered gasp and unsettle pointing. " That's him." Fixing the man a cold stare she turned sharply to Natalie. " It's rude to stare." She spoke sharply. Gawking over a doctor she knew she'd just hate by the end of the week, honestly Natalie standards much. " This is Mrs Fields car accident, She has a punctured lung. Multiple broken bones and the X- rays are still not back." Lips pursed she bit back a ' I told you so ' as the doctor checked Mrs Fields. She certainly didn't need a doctors degree for what her senses told her.
As the doctor pushed her back some she refrained from turning around and literally biting him. Human emotions were rather bland compared to how she'd settle a score. " Do not touch me." It annoyed her endlessly how she couldn't openly state what she knew. She had to keep her talents secret. "You might murder him...I shall. Natalie can you fetch the xrays for me please." It was frustrating to know what the x-ray would say yet be unable to say so.
Decidedly she was going to blame the doctor if any thing happened to her patient. As her own acute hearing picked up on the womans even shallower breathing she gave a soft nod. " okay." Quickly she moved gathering the needle and syringe. Returning to the room her eyes grew some what wide. Would the woman now need surgery. As Natalie returned with the x-rays she quickly pointed to the doctor. " Just show him. " Natalie gave a small nod of her head. " One of your freaky sixth sense things Adeliyah?" She whispered.

Taking the x-rays, Saxum stuck them up on the lighted screen. Glancing only briefly, he visibly flinched. He could try to take the air out himself but it was iffy if the hole in her lung would close on its own. Giving his thanks to both of the nurses for bringing what he needed, he took the needle and syringe. Putting gloves on his hands, he sighed and glanced at the two nurses, having a feeling that they would know if something went wrong. After opening the side of her shirt and cleaning the bruised skin, he put the needle and syringe together. Counting down to the third rib, he carefully punctured the skin and pushed the needle in and at the proper depth. Slowly, he began to pull the syringes cap out, suctioning out the air was was trapped out side of her lungs though in her body. It would help her breathing, so he hoped.
A minute or so went by with this and a relieved look crossed his face as the woman's breathing was less strained than before. That didn't mean she was stable though. Pulling out the syringe, he put pressure on the spot to stop the bleeding and then took another look at the x-rays, concern lacing his expression. The whole was bigger than he felt comfortable with just letting her be now. It wasn't quite big enough to warrant a surgery and he didn't want to put the woman through an unnecessary thing like that. Hands held as if to pray, his pointer fingers tapping right underneath of his nose. Closing his eyes, he quickly debated what to do, all of this taking moments.
"I want to put a chest tube in. I don't think she will need surgery but just in case I want her to be watched. What do you think?" He questioned, golden honey eyes staring at both of the nurses, his disheveled dark hair making him look even more handsome in a rough sort of way. He knew it wasn't normal for a doctor to ask a nurses opinion, but he always found it good to bounce his ideas off of others and usually nurses knew what was going on, as long as they weren't fresh off the school block that is. Glancing back at Mrs. Fields, he cracked his knuckles some, waiting for a response that he was hoping for.

She watched with a hawk like expression as the doctor attended to her patient. Checking her breathing and pulse she relaxed some. It would be easier to keep Mrs Fields in a stable condition now. Once again like so many times previously she was in awe at the humans lives. With injuries like this in her world Mrs Field would have been slaughtered weak ends brought a pack down.
Carrying out an observation on Mrs Fields she lost herself to her thoughts a snap of fingers in her face startling her. " Earth to Adeliyah, ET phone home..." Natalie spoke sarcastically. " The nice doctor is talking maybe you should listen. God knows you usually have your own opinion to share with the doctors. Now your being asked for yours and you zone out."
Blinking her eyes she looked at Saxum quietly a flash of anger on her face before looking at the X-rays studying them intently. " She has many broken bones which will require multiple surgeries as her injuries are quite extensive. However I do not think at the moment her heart will cope with even that. Put the chest tube in let's focus on getting her stable. Worst case scenario she has to have surgery but we deal with that if it happens." She spoke politely. Hey she could be sweet as pie if she wanted to. " Then we'll get her comfortable. Like the charts say regular pain medication she must be in pain and we keep an eye on her. Which means YOU doctors doing your jobs."

Saxum listened to the nurse and nodded his head. He had ignored the flash of anger on her face, though he figured that she didn't like doctors much. He couldn't blame her though as most of the other doctors here were self righteous hypocrites. "Definitely. Thank you very much for you're opinion and don't worry, I take this job more seriously than you know. It's just nice to give you guys an opinion. Who knows? I might make a mistake that I need to be called out for. Give everyone a say in the matter and you will end up better than you were before." He responded truthfully, flashing them both a quick smile, before running over and getting a new pair of gloves, along with the few other essential tool that he would be needing.
It didn't take long but soon enough Saxum had the chest tube in. He sighed to himself as he checked over his handy work and then looked over the patient. She still hadn't woken but that was due to the medicine she had been administered to keep her from feeling the pain of what he had had to do to her. Washing his hands in the sink by the room, he cleaned up his mess and made a note on the chart that she should be given antibiotics if she began to show any signs of infection. Fever, sever redness and swelling, anything. He didn't want it to spread to her lungs right away if the tube caused an infection.
After making sure she was stable, Saxum walked out of the room, telling a nurse that was in the hall to keep a check up on the woman ever few minutes. Continuing down the hall, Saxum did his rounds and checked up on the rest of his patients, replacing an IV on the coma patient from earlier. He checked in on Mrs. Fields a half hour later to see no change thankfully.
So he made sure a few people knew where he was going and he headed off to the cafeteria. Not many people were there at this time of the night but Saxum preferred solitude from the noisy humans. He enjoyed helping anyone he could, but sometimes they just didn't know when to shut it. Buying a hot chocolate, he sat down in the far corner and closed his eyes as he took his first sip. Chocolate was one of his vices, especially when it warmed him. It also calmed him down, the sugary sweet milk drink doing wonders for his nerves. There were ways to replace the bliss of the kill, they just didn't have as great of an effect. His mouth twitched at the thought, a low rumble in his chest that was only audible to himself. He needn't be thinking about such things. He had more important and less distracting things to be worrying about.

It was funny how time flew past so quickly at times. After they'd dealth with Mrs Fields she'd continued with her rounds checking routinely on the woman amoungst her other patients she finally found time to start on the paper work. Sitting at the desk in the nurses station she looked down at her pager. Mrs Fields again, what was wrong now. Moving to the womans room she looked at one of the nurses patiently. " Is everything alright?" Certiantly she must annoy the nurses here she was younger then them but already their boss. " Mrs Fields is to be given anti bioticts Sarah said you were to watch as I administer them." With a nod she checked the dosages then administered a New Iv. " Well that will keep her fluids up. I'm on break now, page me if you need me."
Snatching up her bag she headed down to the staff cafeteria at least there she could get something decent to eat and drink. " Dinner time Adeliyah?" One of the nurses queried. " Yes what about you?" With a shake of her head the woman stood up. " Just finished. I'll see you back on the ward." Okay it wasn't going to kill her to eat dinner by herself but it was a slight downer. " Yea i'll see you later." Brushing past the woman she entered the cafeteria. Free at last hello food that was the one major down side of a transformation she was always starving especially after having kept the wolf side pent up for so long.
Skimming the menu her eyes drifted across the room. That was the doctor again, what was his name. Unable to quite place it she studied him quietly. Well for once Natalie was correct he was rather cute but as a human that made him definitely off limits. With a sigh she turned her back placing an order for food. Was this what it was to become, a life of being stuck single simply because she couldn't tolerate human males and the wolves considered her a traitor. It was a suckish situation over all.
Gathering her food and drink she sat down at a near by table promptly dropping her bag to the ground. Food finally beautiful sweet smelling food just what she needed to help her think over her current prediciment. Sameth, a brother who had disowned her was back bringing with him the tempting over for her to reclaim her title, but at what cost? Surely nothing like that came without a consequence. With a disapointed expression she reached up pulling out her hair tie letting her long hair cascade down her back an ease to the headache which had been forming. Choices, choices. To return to the pack meant she was no longer permitted the life that she had formed yet it meant family once more.

It had been one of the longest nights that Saxum had, had for a while. Deeply enjoying the peace of that the cafeteria offered, he longed to go and sleep. However, that was not possible as he still had a few hours left on his shift. He just hoped, no he prayed to the gods above that they would spare the lives of others in this hospital.
Sipping slowly on his hot chocolate, his stomach growled some. He tried to ignore it but, it called out for food, despite Saxum's mental state not wanting to bother with it. He didn't get up right away though. Noticing eyes on him, he glanced over to see the nurse that had helped him with Mrs. Fields. He had been grateful for her help, as he was with anyone that helped him, but he couldn't help feeling that she had her mind or something other than patient care right now.
Getting up, he walked over and picked up some food. He debated for a moment, whether to go back to his seat or to ask if he could sit by the nurse. He really hadn't made any friends yet and he felt as though she held something against him. The dominant leader in him wanted to try and understand her feud and so the feral part of him won the battle. He would go and ask if he could sit with the woman.
Walking over towards the table, tray in one hand while hot chocolate was in another. Stopping in front of her, he put on a friendly smile. "I was wondering if I might join you for dinner?" He asked her, his tone polite as he stood in front of her. "It is awfully lonely to eat by ones self and I also had a few questions to ask if that is alright?" He added, honey colored eyes tracing the woman's face, trying to figure out how she felt towards him. He had to mentally bar himself from examining too closely though as the more he looked at her, the more attractive she seemed to be. She was human and even if he had no clan and was practically a loner, he still could not consort with a human. He had heard of it happening though. Life mates were something that one could not change, despite cultural and law boundaries. He personally hated the counsel for more than just something silly like that. But those thoughts were ones that he didn't wish to think right now.

Fingers drummed onto the small round table as Adeliyah silently took a sip of her drink. Decisions, decisions it was seemingly to much for her to cope with then to add the fact that three of the patients she'd treated yesterday had past away whilst she had been off duty was rather saddening. Lost to her thoughts she blinked her eyes surprised as brown eyes locked onto his honey colored ones.
What. Did. He. Want. Displeased at having once again been brought out of her thoughts by someone she flashed him an irritable look clearly displeased. Solitude it was something she was slowly growing accustomed to if not by choice but more reality on how alone she was. It was lonely though being by ones self and she'd been nothing but a pain to him. Doctors they annoyed her endlessly at times but so far she found no reason to take displeasure in his company.
" Fine." She spoke softly. Perhaps if Natalie was with her the woman would be making some joke on how they really didn't bite. Such a lie, why did humans say such ridiculous things certainly she did bite and not quite interested in flirting she politely moved her bag. " I'm afraid I had no choice. The nurses I am friends with on the ward have not had their dinner break." She could be nice she'd have to be nice to him or at least till he gave her a reason to find him intolerable. As such she didn't quite mind him now.
" I'm sorry my name is Adeliyah. You had some questions you wanted to ask?" Just because she'd settled with being friendly didn't mean she was one to beat around the bush. " If there's anything I can help you with I will." Taking another sip of her drink she gave him a once over finding it easier now she didn't have to sneak a look at him. The appearance of humans she'd never much cast a second glance at and a relationship with any man be it human or were had never really been on the cards for her but still she could appreciate when someone was attractive and was most certainly that. " I was rude to you earlier. Forgive me but the doctors on the ward and I aren't on the best of terms. " How many of them had she spoken her mind to then proceeded to tell them exactly what she thought of them. Something about them always trying to hit on her did nothing to help her anger issues.

Sitting down, he gave her a grateful smile. While listening to her, he took another large swig of his hot chocolate, enjoying the warmth and sweetness that it gave off. "Adeliyah, it is nice to meet you, You may call me Sam" He responded right after she had said her name. It was quite a fitting name and one that slid off of his tongue easily. It especially went well with his slight accent, though it was only a hint in the ways he spoke certain words."I figured as much." He began saying after she was done. "I was about to ask if you had a feud against me as we had just met, yet I felt as though I had done something wrong." He shrugged his shoulders, a look exhaustion on his extremities, but his eyes still bright and intelligent. "It is of no matter though. I hope to make it so that you and I can get along. I do like to have good relationships with others I am working with."
The words he spoke were true and there was not a hint of being a flirt in the way he spoke to her. He was smart enough to know that hitting on her, despite her attractive nature, was something she wouldn't tolerate. There was also the fact that he was quite sure she was a human. Then again he hadn't even introduced himself to the clan of this city yet. It might be a mistake in the long run but he figured that if he kept to himself, they would do the same. He could most likely beat any of the whelps that tried to attack him though. Where he was from the werewolf had originated, in his veins ran pure Carpathian blood, if the packs here had such a thing he would begin to worry. Though if there were enough of them, even his size and strength would not be of much use.
Eating a bit of his food, though it was more of pushing his food around his plate, he contemplated which questions to ask of her. Avoiding the vegetables, he almost stared at them with venom before looking back up at Adeliyah. "Are there any trust worthy doctors in this ward? I know you dislike them and all but I haven't met one yet who became a doctor for reasons other than money. I just can't seem to find one to take care of one of my patients if I have another one that is in more need." He asked, his voice low but intent. It was obvious that the main information he wanted from her was about the hospital itself. What were the people like? How capable were the surgeons? Who was the best? Everything that he knew a nurse such as herself would be able to answer.
Of course he also wanted to know what was ailing her mind. She seemed preoccupied but of course, there was no way that she would let Saxum listen to her troubles. They had just met and it seemed that he had a lot of work to do with proving that he wasn't like the other doctors. He didn't become one for money and he took the deaths of his patients quite hard when it came down to it, though it was rare for him to dwell on the matter. It was good to mourn but he couldn't keep thinking about it or it would be the end of him. Another swig of his hot chocolate proved to be his last, Saxum looking at it with an almost pouting expression on his face, though it was only briefly.

She'd appologised it didn't mean she was one to go into further detail. " I dislike the doctors, I didn't say I hated them." She spoke evenly. There were plenty worse things out there then human doctors. " I don't mind the ones in the ER, or ..nearly any other ward just the ones I've had to work with really vex me." That was about as much of an explanation as he'd get.
So now she was sititng eating with Sam the doctor whom so many rumours were circulating about. " Your accent. Not from here are you?" Now she was mildly interested in him. Travelling that was something she'd always been strickly forbidden to do due to who her father was. With the risk of running into enemy packs to high it had been off limits.
" Trust worthy...I'm sorry if you want a low down on the people I think you'd best ask Natalie." Giving him a ' I don't gossip find some other silly minded B**tch' She then began to eat her food. Perhaps that wasn't nice. She did know many things that she could help him with that wasn't gossiping now was it. " The best surgeon on my opinion would be John, he didn't get head surgeon for nothing." There were others though. " The doctor on our ward, the female one....she's good. Pretty little blonde thing. I can't remember her name but when she's on the doctors are decent enough to work with." Finishing her drink she checked the time. Good she still had another good half an hour. " I think you are asking the wrong person. I'm new to the ward. I know more about the ER, and some what of ward 9."

That was a good thing then, if she didn't dislike all doctors. It was understandable to not get along with those you worked with, especially if they acted the way he had witnessed some of them to ask. Eating some more, he paused mid bite when she pretty well asked if he wasn't from around here. A flicker of sadness flashed through his eyes but it only lasted a few seconds. The thoughts of his old clan and home came to mind briefly before he pushed them back down into the bottomless depths of the dark side of his mind. He would not allow himself to be distracted by such things now.
Giving her a toothy smile, he nodded. "Yes. I was hoping that I was doing a good job of hiding my accent though." He told her, letting his full accent go to show her how hard he worked along with sounding a bit amused. "I am from a small town in Romania." He added, feeling as if it wasn't all that important that she knew where he was from. She didn't know his secret and how he had been forced to leave. "Have you lived here all your life?" He questioned casually in response, covering up his accent once more.
He finished his meal quickly after that, listenign to what she had to say about a few people. He paused slightly after he saw the look that she had given him, a bit perplexed as he figured that what he had asked wasn't that big of a deal. In fact he thought that it would be something normal. He was relieved though when she began to talk about the head surgeon and the blond doctor. Storing the information away, he leaned back in his chair. "Thank you very much. That is good information to know." He waited a moment after she was done before saying this.
Glancing at the watch on his wrist, he noticed that the time had flied while he had been eating. Scooting his chair back, he stood and picked up his tray. "This has been wonderful, but I should go do rounds once more. I want to make sure Mrs. Fields is doing alright before I leave for the night. Thank you for the company." He told her, giving her a smile of thanks and walking to throw out his trash and put his tray away. Though of course, being a polite man, he pushed his chair in first.

Flashing Sam an appologetic smile she shook her head some. " No sorry, I guess I'm just good with accents?" She offered. Leaning forward she grinned some. " Your secrets safe with me." Crossing her fingers she sat back on the chair resuming her eating. Wasn't it interesting that a human male came from the very country that her kind supposedly orriginated from. " Yes I have. My father did not like to travel and now that I am older I lack the money." She spoke slowly. That was a safe answer she decided.
With a polite nod she smiled. " Well it was nice talking to you." Sam wasn't that bad she decided. Giving a small wave she resumed eating her dinner. With her meal finished she stood up taking her rubbish to the bin. A few more hours and she was home free.
Walking back to the ward she sent the next nurse for her dinner break before sitting down at the nurses station. " I have the biggest headache." Rubbing her temple she sat down one of the seats. " Have you taken anything?" Sarah asked. " Panadol, it didn't work." She answered. Taking up the charts she continued with the paper work.
