"It is really here. Is it really already time to try on a new apprentice?" Nazo said to himself as he looked out over the clear lake water, a full moon reflecting in the water. He felt a little saddened at the sight of the rippling waters, illuminated by the silvery glow. It was a beautiful sight but it reminded him of the night that he had first met his love. And what a night it had been. Full of magic and mystery the stars had been out in full blossom as had the cherry trees. Walking under their branches it was as if it was snowing light pink flakes silhouetted by the moons radiance. A night to never forget. And he sighed. It was something that broke his heart up inside as he remembered her face and how it had shined as she sung to the moon.
Hands shaking, he forced his mind to clear and relaxed his body. No one was to see him like this now. Especially with a potential new student on the way. So he walked back inside and off of the bridge, surrounded by bamboo. He prepared his home and laid out a bed mat in the room across from his own. Drinks were laid out on a table in the gathering room and everything was cleaned up as it should be. As the moon reached its peak he walked outside, back to the bridge. They should be arriving soon. The man with white hair should be guiding his new student. He wondered if this one would make it past the week. He wasn't sure. It seemed everyone they sent him still needed time to develop in the ways of morality and of the mind.
He also wondered if his student was to be male or female and what they would think of his...his odd eye color. Red as blood and bright as fire they would be glowing in the light of the moon as full as it was this night. His silken robes were silver with a bluish hue and a reflective surface, green leaf patterns placed on the collar and cuffs along with the waste band. A red rope looped on his left side. The robe was opened and it showed his pale skin and muscular chest, bandages were found around his true waist. There was no wound there but it was to cover up a particularly bad scar that he had gained that fateful day that his love had been lost. His long black hair was tied up as his eyes looked sadly upon the water once more. Silken as it was, it shifted without a noise as he tilted his head, a lamps soft glow coming into sight on the other side of the bridge. Tightening his eyes, he readied himself to take care of another being other than himself. He just hoped it wouldn't be a disappointment again.
A tune began echoing around in his mind as he watched the bobbing of the lamp, the same beat as the tune. Slow and methodical it was soft and sweet as it crescendoed and then fell off into a slow and lilting end. Ah what a beautiful sound it was though it was far to sad to think of now, that the voice that had produced such a lovely piece of art. He would never hear it again. Feeling almost nostalgic now, Nazo, looked up to the moon once more and spoke though only in his mind. 'Let this one be the one. Give them your blessing please. Maybe a dose of happiness will do me well.' He felt as if his thoughts had been heard as the sound of a night hawk echoed in the air, its scream of joy signifying that his hunt had gone well. "Thank you." Nazo whispered ever so softly and looked ahead of himself again, waiting for the party of two to arrive, the lamp bobbing as the man with white hair walked his way guiding the new student.
((So I need your character to be a female of elven decent and you are to be the apprentice that will be learning from my character. She will look exactly like his lost love. I would prefer if she was klutzy and has a stubborn determination so that she doesn't stop at what she starts. aka of he tells her to give up she would do exactly the opposite. If this is asking to much I am sorry, you don't have to follow it. ^.^ Oh this is based in an old world japan fantasy style. If you want to know more about the story read his profile.))

Mikazuki felt very nervous that she was going to trip in front of her new master. She was praying to her self that she wouldn't mess up in talking but seem firm and handy. The man who was taking her there had white hair and he didn't say much to her besides not to look him in the eye unless told to do so. She didn't really understand but nodded in understanding. She was an abandoned apprentice of only 2 weeks-as the last master who had her didn't like her style of working so he sent her away. She did however have her close friend who was her small dragon lizard she had from her tribe before her father sent her off to apprentice almost 3 years ago. Chibi her lizard was wrapped around her neck under her face cloth that she usually wore to keep the dust out of her face as she had slight allergies. The last time some one believed ion her skills she fell flat on her face during the final showman ship and was discriminated. That night she remembered that she ended up breaking all the dishes in the house as well. The man steered her to the steps of a large building and she wasn't sure what to do but she followed the mans example and waited as her knocked. She was nervous and being nervous made her clumsy but she was just determined enough that she would still try to get the part even if she falls face first.

At the sound of the knock Nazo opened the door and bowed, ushering the two in. "How fared your trip?" He asked while shutting the door behind him. He walked in, not looking yet at his possible new apprentice but smiled at the man with white hair, his red eyes glinting in the light of a small orb hanging in the air. It was filled with fire and gave off a pure light that made it bright enough to see without candles. The white haired man relayed the basics of the trip and after wards Nazo decided to look at his new apprentice. He firstly noticed that it was a female and secondly-- Well there really was no secondly as his breath caught in his throat and his eyes stayed on the woman before him. He calmed he quickly beating heart and pulled the white haired man aside abruptly.
Speaking in a quiet tone Nazo asked, "She is of the correct age of eighty or higher correct?" The white haired man nodded his head, the abrupt change from Nazo's usual calm and collected air had startled him greatly. He was almost hoping that there had been a mistake and she was not old enough the sight of her had almost killed him. But he pulled himself together and sighed. "Just make sure to be on call later. Sorry for acting so--out of place." He let the man go and he was dismissed and left of his own accord. Nazo turned to the girl and sighed inwardly. There was great turmoil inside of him however you would not be able to tell by just looking at him. Only if you had known him for long periods of time would you be able to tell the slight differences in his character such as the softening of his eyes and the parting of his lips. "What is your name young one? Where are you from? What is your age? He paused for a moment before a slight smirk formed on his lips. His senses were dulling to the looks though the painful memories still flitted in and out of his mind. "And what is the name of your dragon familiar underneath of your mask? Oh and please take it off. There is no need to protect yourself from dust here. It is quite clean."

AS she watched his reaction, she felt slightly out of place and ugly because he had reacted so badly at the sight of her. She took a deep breath," My name Is Mikazuki-and this is Chibi my pet Dragon lizard, I am 94 years old and I am from the Prosperous East. I have traveled-umm..." Her face screwed up while thinking, she finally shrugged off the answer and kept on talking," How did you assume about my dragon and my allergies? Maybe I'm hiding something? Or perhaps I want to be ananomous..." She kept her chin up but didn't look him in the eye as the white haired man had said. She started questioning him back as he had questioned him only she was a bit more out of it. She finally shut her mouth and started beating her self up over being rude on the first day much less the first time meeting her new master.

"Well Mikazuki I could see Chibi's aura mingling with your own and I did not know you had allergies but only presumed it was due to dust as i do not believe a student would have the ego to hide their face from their master on the first day." He smiled kindly and motioned for her to sit. "Please sit you must be tired from your travels would you care to have a drink and would Chibi as well? I am quite curious as to what species he is." Nazo smiled and poured himself a drink, waiting for Mikazuki to tell him whether or not he would like one. He figured getting to know each other this night would be a good thing. Breaking the ice as some might say.
"As you know my name is Nazo however I would ask of you to please call me master Nazo or just Master." He instructed her but gave her a smile, his blood red eyes twinkling in the light. She hadn't looked at his eyes yet. The man with white hair must have told her not to. Oh well she would learn that it was alright and in some of their lessons necessary. His heart was still beating wildly and out of control, his mind whirring around like a windy day. From what he had seen, this woman was the exact replica of his lost love. And this cost him dearly every time he looked at her but he pinned inside the turmoil raging inside and was the polite and kind master he would be well until he began teaching her. Than she might think other wise.

She smiled at him lightly. Taking a seat formally in a spaced area-opposite of his seat. "Thank you master-I'm happy that you could and would accept me as your apprentice. Chibi is a Blooded vined-striker, only a growing breed- I use my magic to grow him" She passed her cup to him, waiting for him to pour some for chibi-she herself couldn't bring herself to drink in front of her new master because she was afraid she wold spill it all over her robes. She took a deep breath as she waited quietly-slightly feeling awkward in The new surroundings. the place we simple yet clean and tidy. She liked clean and tidy- her last master was a messy prick who never taught her anything important-ans she eventually told him so-getting her thrown out, and master less. "Might I ask how you can see my dragon's aura? Not many can-if any-I haven't encountered anyone yet but an elder who could." She took this chance too look at her new masters' face, his hair slightly in his face but she didn't mind that much- his eyes were interesting how ever. Red-a brilliant yet dull and sorrow full red that made her want to cry laid into his face as thought they were placed there with much pain and hardship. She shot her eyes back down understanding why the white haired man told her to not look, because it would have discouraged her.

"He is quite a fine specimen. You would do well to take care of him as well as you have been. He will be of wonderful help when he becomes bigger." He sipped on his drink and looked at the girl. It was interesting and he was sad but he could not constantly think about his lost love every time he merely glanced at her. This he was going to have to work on. Call it training for his soul, heart, and mind. He smiled gently when she asked about how he could see her dragons aura. He wasn't going to give her the full answer. No not yet. She could piece together the pieces herself. "I can see all auras. As well as yours though I will not tell you the color. You will find out your own as well as your dragons during your studies if you haven't already." He was curious however that there was another who could see auras. As of right now he did not know of anyone that is unless he was forgetting someone. He just wasn't quite sure. "If you know their name... Might I know who else can see auras as I can." His eyes surveyed the girl, a look of curiosity on his face. Noticing that she had looked at his face and eyes, Nazo sighed at her reaction. Always the same. No one could ever look in his eyes. It was a pity really. One of the best ways to connect with someone.

Taking a sip of the tea-Chibi unwrapped from her neck and cureled up on her lap but hissed at her when she didn't share with him. She put her cup down by him as he lapped up a bit then tucked his head back under her vail. Chibi was always comfortable there and he felt safe so he stayed with it-one way she never lost her vail-chibi was always with it. After her second sip and as she listened to im ask about the other person that she knew that could see auras' she hesitated as he placed her cup on the table. "Well you see- my great aunt could see them-well god aunt per-say, she has no relation to my family except for she was freinds with my mother-much before I was born-but I did met her once-but that was a long long while ago..." She said and looked up again into his eyes-watching for his reaction instead-she didn't flinch as she looked at them-she could see the sorrow but she could also see the interesting look he was giving her as he looked at chibi-most people looked at him as thought he were a pest or a monster. She tried to smile but she didn't think it looked quite right. She suddenly looked down when she felt some thing knock-apparently she had knocked over her cup and the tea was running wildly off the table onto the floor and her lap-Chibi hissing and snapping at it as he got soaked. Her eyes wide in surprise as she had messed up so early in this meeting that he about threw Chibi threw the wall in trying to save him from the tea. Chibi on the other hand wasn't happy with her at the moment and slithered across the room and up into Nazo's lap thinking that since she has submissive emotions to him that he was the new master and he was there for entitled to the new-DRY-lap. Chibi growled at her and when Nazo tried to touch him he only let out a small hiss-seeing as he wasn't used to him or knew him. Sge fussed about cleaning it up and was flushed ans worried that this master would get rid of her fro being disorderly and clutzy in his clean and shiny household.

Nazo listened to her words and wondered at who that might have been. It is quite an odd ability and very rare to be able to see auras without the use of magic. He watched as she knocked over the cup and both her and Chibi's response. It brought a small smile to his lips as to how Mikazuki fretted over the small incident. Chibi apparently wasn't very happy about it either as he crawled all the way into Nazo's lap. He was quite surprised at this but allowed it as he was quite interested in Chibi's particular species. It was said that they possessed a strange power. Though it was only a rumor. Nazo wanted to find out.
Nazo then muttered a few words and the mess was cleaned. The tea was back in the cup and Mikazuki's lap should have been dry. It was a simple mixture of three spells. He had a feeling that he was going to have to teach this girl it quite soon. Well if she passed her first week. "It is fine. Do not worry about such small things. Messes can always be cleaned." He had a patient and kind look on his face though he still felt his heart wrench into even tinier pieces every time he looked at the girl. He then looked down in his lap at the small reptile. He smiled and muttered a few words that only the creature would hear. It was a simple greeting in the language of magic and also a spoken gesture of goodwill. He then reached down to pet Chibi, seeing how he would react.

When the mess was suddenly gone she felt so stupid, and very confused as to what had happened. How could she make a fool of herself so early on and her own dragon runaway from her. She bowed low to Nazo." Please forgive me for making the mess and that my dragon intruded onto your lap." She said-hoping that it would make up for Chibi's rudeness.
Chibi lifted his head when Nazo's hand touched him and hissed-fidgeting unsure of him. Chibi eventually looked back at Mikazuki-waiting for her lap to be open again. When she sat up from her bow-He shot over to her lap and went around her neck in a loose coil and let her tongue slither out into her ear as though he were telling her something-but he was tickling her to cheer her up as she seemed upset. Chibi squinted at him-looking him up and down-not really sure what to think just yet-then buried his head in her hair and stayed there for a bit. "I'm so sorry master but I'm a bit of a klutz. You will have to forgive me..." She said trying to make amends again hoping that it wouldn't get her thrown out. She sat there with her head down hoping that she looked pitiful enough to forgive. She had her head down and decided it best not to look into his eyes as they were too interesting to get past.
"So-How did you do that- I mean clean it up as though nothing had happened? Will you eventually teach me that?" She asked as she took another chance and glanced at his face, at his sorrowful eyes. She felt that since she had chibi there it wouldn't be so bad but now that she had her hands in her lap she couldn't make a mess.

He smiled slightly, a forgiving look on his face. "It is fine. Simple matters and messes such as these should not be fretted over as you have just done. It is a simple fix and klutziness if fine. Soon you will be able to fix the messes you create with a simple spell and then eventually you will be able to mix spells together to get the solution you want quicker and with less energy." Nazo said and took a long and slow drink of his tea. He also said a spell in his mind to warm it up some. It was good cold too but he was in the mood for something to warm his belly.
"I will teach you basic spells next week and the three spells I combined I will teach to you as well." He said and that was all he would comment on. He could have not even bothered muttering the spell and just had pictured what he wanted done but that took more concentration than he wanted to have right now. So he just relaxed and watched Mikazuki and chibi. The dragon had quite an arrogant personality based on his aura and that made him smile. He would make a great companion for the girl later in life. Especially when he became bigger. Than she could ride him to get to places faster. It was rare for him to see his species in the care of another other than one of their own species so he knew this girl was special or else others of his kind would not have let her be with Chibi.

She nodded when she was told what she was going to learn, taking in the information. He took a sip of her tea then left it up to her lips for Chibi as he snaked around and took a sip. While they did this common act between them she glanced up to see Master Nazo watching them. "Do you need some thing master?" She asked a little better since the tea had cooled down and she could sip it. Chibi was giving him a look of amusement while he wound around her neck a few times-looking like he was going to choke her but in fact he was cuddling. After a few moments of silence she finally stated," Chibi once belonged to the woman who could see auras...It was a gift to me from her-th only time I met her, so I don't know much about him...Besides him name. " She said as he stroked Chibi's scales along him ridged head-Chibi almost purred.

"No it is nothing. I just like to observe my new student's ways. It is something I do to become more comfortable around others." Nazo stated and gave her a slight smile as he drank some more tea, sipping it slowly as it warmed his insides. He watched as Chibi entwined himself around Mikazuki's neck. It did look as though he was strangling the girl though Nazo sensed a strong bond between the two so he knew that that was not the case. He continued to sip on the tea as she spoke of how she had acquired Chibi. Nazo listened to her words carefully and wondered about this woman she was talking about. He would have to find out more about her if possible. For Nazo, seeing auras wasn't something he was born with or that he gave himself. It was a curse and a lot of times he wished he could turn it off. You could tell a lot of things by just looking at someones aura.
"I think we will both be getting to know Chibi. He is quite the gift. You are very fortunate to have one if his kind. And if the rumors are right he will be quite the partner as he grows older." And with those words Nazo was done speaking of the subject. He finished up his tea, setting down the cup in front of him. He took the cup and the pot that held the tea into his small kitchen. He washed them clean and put the tea into a storage cup. Putting them away, Nazo walked back into the other room. A small smile formed on his lips as he nodded at Mikazuki and Chibi. "It is getting late and we will have a long day ahead of up tomorrow so when you are done please wash your cup and your room is down the hall and the second door on the right." He told her and went to his room, at the end of the hall way. He climbed a wooden spiral staircase up into the tree canopy that made up part of his home. He could see the whole lake from here and it was quite beautiful. He layed down on his bed an sighed. This was going to be quite interesting.

"Thank you master-I shall see you in the morning." She sipped her tea a few minutes after Nazo went out of the room and to bed. She didn't quite know what to make of him yet-he was mysterious and yet his eyes were enchanting in both a good and bad way. He seemed oddly side-tracked as well. "Maybe he doesn't want a female apprentice Chibi-He is acting weird...I guess we shall see." She stood up-Chibi slithering down her neck and puddling onto the floor-not wanting to get lost just yet. She washed her cup carefully not wanting to break it on the first day. As she placed the cup away she sighed-she really was tired-it had been a long intense day for her and Chibi. She followed the directions he had given her and she only found her self to trip once and it was over a door step that she passes again once she went the wrong way down the hallway. When she finally got the light on she pulled out her bed and before she made it opened her window and set Chibi on the sill. He took in the air testing for what is normal for what would be unusual. She set up her bed and made a special area for Chibi as he always liked being in her hair-and generally around her-as well as the window to be open. She fell asleep quickly but Chibi stayed out and about. He crept from room to room slithering under doors or threw cracks to investigate everything as he always liked to do in a new place. After looking the dinning room back over he slithered up the stairs and found Nazo's quarters. He didn't know if he could go there or not so he turned around and went back to the room where he had left Mikazuki, sleeping. He curled up into her hair on the pillow she had set for him and fell asleep after a bit. He didn't like the new place like he thought he would, he thought it was going to be glamorous-but ti was common and there were no secrets yet...

Sleep took Nazo eventually. It had been about two hours before he had actually gotten comfortable enough to close his eyes. He could feel Chibi moving around the house. Nazo though him to be quite the curious fellow and made a note of it in the back of his mind. He didn't mind if he was curious but when he set up rules tomorrow, Nazo expected even the small dragon to obey them. He was a very nice man but he did not especially like it when someone disobeyed an order or broke a rule.
His dreams were bad that night, evil spirits of nightmares plagued his mind. He woke at dawn, a scream in the back of his throat, ready to be released. He swallowed it down and calmed his breathing and wickedly beating heart. Sighing, he got out form under the covers, being covered in sweat. He changed into a fresh set of traditional dress, this was a deep blood red which matched his eyes. Undoing his hair, he ran a comb through it, untangling the knots and making sure that it wouldn't become too unruly later. It was getting quite long now, maybe a slight trim would do. Nazo put up with long hair as his position called for though he wouldn't mind if it were a bit shorter. Then it would be so much easier to care for. But alas it is how it is.
Walking down his spiral stairs, Nazo didn't make a sound. He slipped into the kitchen and began cooking a simple breakfast, making extra for Chibi if he wanted any. He was going to be talking with his new student about the rules and everything that she needed to know today. She would also have to learn how to cook some if she didn't already. Nazo wasn't going to cook for everyone in the house at all times. He would very much need the help in the coming week. And if she made it past that than it could be years.
