Ryo noted her excitement and realized just how, well, child like it seemed. It was sad he would have to burst that bubble of innocence if she was going to be a part of the world today. She may have been shown what the world was like through a screen, but actually experiencing things was another story entirely. "Alright, Ai-chan. First, however, you need to change. People won't be comfortable with you going anywhere in that. I'm sure the lab must have something for you..." He motioned to her outfit when he said 'that', the simple lab garment that was used to keep everything sterile. The scientists looked stunned still but some nodded as if responding to the Chancellor's order for Ai to have better clothing. Ryo ignored them oviously. A moment later he then seemed to remember something and his brows rose a bit. "Ah, and you can choose your appearance as well, whatever your comfortable with people seeing." He looked over his shoulder at his secretary who instantly bowed her head. "Go and give the team their needed clearance. I'll be there shortly to observe the progress." The secretary nodded and scurried off to do as she was told. ~~~ Ben greeted the Ulia when she arrived though his brows rose some when he heard Karishna say where they were from. "Damn, that must have been a hell of a trip. I nearly lost my sanity on a boat to the mainland from Finnland." He half joked before things had gotten ugly. But that was the norm now, to expect that at any moment you could be killed by these fuggly beasts before you batted an eye. And what a horrible death it was. If it didn't tear you to shreds or eat you, then you died from the radioactive bite. Or as some scientists were theorizing now, a bite could turn you into one of them... Ben aimed and took a shot at the creature right when Ulia asked him about helping. He was about to answer with something along the lines of "we've got this" when suddenly things took a turn for the wierd. Ben watched something shift in the air, hell he felt it. The hairs on his arms stood up and he could feel a wierd sense in the area surrounding them. What was even more intriguing was when the moster began flying--not flying--levatating?? Ben's jaw struggled not to drop as he took a step back. What the hell was going on? What was that haze? And why did he get a sense this was coming from Ulia? He was stunned a moment, till the shots being fired at the beast awakened a frantic round of bellowing howls from it. Ben took aim at the head and instantly slipped his finger at the trigger. A solid few shots and the thing would be down for the count. Before he could pull the trigger, a low humming came from nearby. "The sensors are red!" A female voice from nearby shouted and Ben cursed under his breath, before letting the shot off into the things head. It jerked but continued snapping at the air frantically to stop whatever was suspending it. He let off another round, this time catching it in the eye. It roared with pain but still it was moving. "We've got to get out of here--It's disoriented enough that the mechs will take care of it--" "Ben they're coming, they are four sectors from ours already" A voice crackled in his ear from his sniper on a roof top. Ben looked to the others and the new group. "You willing to trust us enough to follow us back to our base?" He asked Ulia since she was still close. The sniper on the roof top had since put the final bullet through the things head, this time hitting right through its forehead, finishing it in a spray of matter. Ben made a motion for his guys to do the routine 'get out of here quickly' manuever, mostly because they knew for damn sure they couldn't take on those mechs yet, not till Sloane finished her mission.... ~~~ The order had gone out over the come for the groups to assemble. Luca, being already in his pilots bay was looking down at Sloane expectantly. The girl seemed dazed, as though soething were bothering her. "Hey, we're going to miss the party if you keep staring at the cracks in the floors like that." Luca called down to her, making Sloane look up at him and flip him off. She quickly and effortlessly let her fingers glide on the key board, bringing the machine extension of the human body come to life. The mech was letting off a light hum as it powered up from Luca's activation code. It stood at the ready postion, rigid steel with a very dangerous effect to it. It was part of the Chancellors idea for these machines, intimidation and fight. Have something dangerous that looks dangerous. His hand accessed the database and pulled up the information he needed. So things were stirring back up in the old Tokyo district again? Figures. Probably more of the mutants hunting for something to sink their teeth into. He kicked the mech into full start mode when he saw the light go on for the activation. He was even one of the first out of the starting gate, excited to see the thrill of another kill for the day.

Ai smiled like a child in a candy store, though it wavered lightly when he spoke of her garments. She looked down, frowning lightly. She had seen different clothing on the scientists and in the pictures, but she had yet to wear anything but the flimsy piece of cloth she had on now. Her expression still was happy but, she was curious as to the outfit she would be put into, after all she didn't think she would have a choice in that, she rarely ever had a choice. Ai saw that some of the scientists had nodded their heads, one of them slipping away, back into the main area of the lab. She stopped paying attention to the, though when Ryo spoke to her again. She was quite pleased when he informed her that she could take whichever form she wished, as was evident by the grateful smile on her lips. Almost instantly, her appearance shifted back to its original form, light hair and pale pink lips. A tap in her shoulder made her nearly jump, a shocked expression on her face turned to an embarrassed one as she blushed. She shouldn't have been able to let someone sneak up behind her. It was a female scientist and she had a bag in her hand. "Go to the bathroom down the hall and change, come right back when you are done." The woman instructed her and Ai smiled, nodding her head. She went back through the doors to the lab and fund the bathroom. She took the thin gown off of her body and began digging through the bag. She pulled out the different articles of clothing and blinked some at the bra that hung from one of her fingers. She knew what all of this was, but it felt strange to actually put them on for the first time. It took her a moment before figuring out exactly how the bra went but eventually the white garment was on her body. Eventually she was fully dressed and left the bathroom with her gown neatly folded in her arms. The only weird thing about her outfit was the fact that her shoes were not tied. For all the information she was given, the scientists had neglected such a simple task. Returning to the main room, Ai was hoping that she was acceptable in appearance. She was wearing a pair of jeans with a tank top that matched here eyes. A sweater that was a bit too big for her had slid slightly off her left shoulder. She handed the gown to one of the scientists and gave Ryo a smile, looking eager to get going

(( posting from my phone at the lake house sorry it's a day late...))
Ulia nodded when things got serious, she was dripping sweat from the intensity of her concentration and once she was sure it was dead from the tale tell sign of its brai a coming out the back of the new hole in the back of its head she quickly walked over to where she had stashed Karishna and dragged him out by his hand and dragge him at a fast pace along with the team with the other rebels. She could taken them if they attacked she had confidence but she hoped they wouldn't encounter anothe mutant out here today she was exhausted she was lucky to not have passed out- which happens occasionally.

Ryo wasn't normally a patient person, not that at this moment he suddenly was either. But he was a measured person, who could contain his emotions from being obvious or too forward. Besides, what could a little waiting hurt, besides getting to see his team in action with their new upgrades...He would have other opportunities to observe this but in a way he felt similar to Ai's excitement. He wanted to see the damage these mech's could do, the sheer power they could put off, and the way they could very easily change the tides of the battle for the slowly clearing radiation zones and the rebels that hid within the ruins. When Ai returned Ryo took in her appearance and had to stiffle a laugh at her shoes. It was funny how she could figure out the entire outfit but the shoes were a miss for her. Much to everyone's surprise, Ryo adjusted his jacket and knelt before her, tying the shoes with ease before rising. The staff was silent and rightly so, mostly because none knew how to react to the Chancellor lowering himself bellow a simple machine. "There, I think we're ready." He made a motion to his secretary who lead them from the labs, down corridors of steel and luminous lights. It wasn't long till they were in a parking garage of the place and approaching a sleek looking black car, one who's wheels were replaced with glowing pannels that would connect to the magnetism supported by the road systems here. Ryo took his seat first while the secretary held the door for Ai. The inside of the car was spacious but seemed almost like it was made completely of glass. Everything could be seen from the inside but the outside it was all pitch black. The only seat she could take was at the Chancellor's side, though it was only going to be a short trip. Ryo didn't worry for being close to Ai. Unlike her predecessors she seemed to have a nice grasp on reality and had enough action capability and training to know what to do in public. When she was seated and the door was shut, Ryo spared her a brief glance. "I don't know what all they've shown you in those labs Ai...but I must say you will enjoy the view from up here. It's quite spectacular." What he was elduding to came quite soon, when the car began to hover off the floor and took off through the mix of lit tunnels to the hidden entrance at the side of the cities walls. It was high up, affording one a view of the city in it's entirety before the road dipped and the car's track zipped it away into the maze of buildings. Around them life went on normally. People milled around floating buildings and those on the ground, all of them diverse to even the clothes they wore. Glowing advertisements lit up the sides of glittering building that caught from the light of the protective barrier. Technology reigned obviously supreme in this city, so covered in every style of cold metal and humming machinery it looked like one big funtioning computer system. One that every inch was under Ryo's control... ~~~ Ben motioned to a couple of his men nearby who nodded and took postions with some of the limited cover they had. "Come on. We need to get to the tram way. It will directly feed to where our camp is." He informed Ulia and Karishna. "Gather your people, we're going now." He started moving along the streets, the layout like a well placed memory him even if he wasn't here to see Tokyo in the days before the war. He was too young then to ever even consider it. He spoke quickly with his comrades who informed him that Mech's had in fact dispersed and taken search in other areas for reasons unkown. He kept the troubling information to himself, dismissing the com before it could be picked up by the Mech's sensors. A thud and a tremble of the pavement cause Ben to stick close to the shadows the buildings cast on the streets. The sound of open fire, too heavy to be human alerted Ben to the fact the Mechs were close, not enough to have them yet, but enough so that if he screwed up they would all be dead. Up the street from them a block or two up he heard the sound of metal scrapping and something heavy landing on the ground. "Get in here. Do not engage." Ben hissed to his men motioning for them to slip into the auto garage's work shop that was still patially open from it's dented garage doors. "I suggest you follow. Just till it passes." He told the other group though he had already moved to join his own team. His priority was them, not these new people, even if they were on the same side. ~~~ Luca felt the shock absorbance in his landing when his Mech had bounded over some of the rubble. Concrete rose from where the mechs feet were planted but over all he though he stuck the landing pretty well. His hand on the controls, he observed his view windows on the screen for any sign of life. The Mech's sensors picked up something a while ago. Another blip of static somewhere nearby. This couldn't be just a malfunction now, he was finding it was begining to look alot more like rebels in the area. The sound of fire nearby drew his attention and he sent out a call over their interlinked com to find out what was going on. "Christ, the streets got 3 of those mutant freaks. Watch it, some might come your way." Almost like clock work, Luca felt the Mech respond without him having to. It whipped around in time for him to connect a metal fist with a rather large mutants head. It sent the beast flying, but it rebounded rather quickly. Dried blood covered it in flakes, alearting Luca to the fact it had been a while since this thing fed. Meaning, it would be desperate and powerful...a bad combination for even a man in metal armor.

Ai was nervous standing there in front of Ryo. For a moment, she thought he might have found her amusing, but she doubted that could be so. Suddenly, he knelt in front of her she watched him tie her shoes. Her cheeks flushed pink and she didn’t look at his face when he raised himself back up. She was embarrassed that she had shown a type of imperfection in front of someone so important. It seemed alright though because he said that they were ready. She looked up at him and though her cheeks were still flushed, she smiled with excitement. She followed him and his secretary. She had never been in this area of the labs and her head was constantly looked around her, rather than directly ahead. It was full of metal and lights, very similar to where she was used to, but different in a way. Everything had a bit of a difference. She liked to observe her surroundings and memorize them as best she could. In many ways she was superior to a human, especially in her ability to remember data and store it in an organized manner. It was quite extraordinary really; even she had a sense of how impressive it was. Soon enough, they entered a parking garage and Ai was led to a black car. She had seen images of them on the screen that she used to study, but by the intrigued expression on her face she was delighted to get the chance to see one in person. She almost didn’t notice that Ryo had entered the car, his secretary holding the door open for her. She smiled at the secretary and sat in the car, only realizing after the fact that she had to site right next to him. Of course, it didn’t sit with her for long as she seemed like a child getting to play with a new toy. She looked around the car, marveling at the glass and how you could see everything around you, yet from the outside, you could see nothing of the interior of the car. She knew how it was so, yet the brilliant beauty of it still didn’t pass her by. Her attention was broken from the car and she looked over to Ryo when he spoke. She smiled at his words, eager to see this view that he was mentioning. When the car was turned on and began to hover, Ai temporarily stiffened. The new experience shocked her slightly as she hadn’t been expecting it. She relaxed quickly though, realizing what was going on. For a bit there were only tunnels, but then they broke out and the view was magnificent. A look of pure awe seemed to be engraved on Ai’s face as she nearly pressed her face against the glass, having enough sense not to actually do so. There were people, regular ordinary people around and about in floating buildings and on the ground. The advertisements spread throughout were eye catching and her eyes couldn’t move anywhere without catching site of one. The city was organized and neatly spread out. It almost reminded her of a circuit board, though it felt more like a coincidence that it looked as such. Smiling brightly, she tore her eyes away from the sights and looked to Ryo. “It’s so beautiful!” She exclaimed in an almost breathy tone; grey eyes full of wonder.

karishna nodded as he helped his wife into the garage, her tattoos were glowing lightly- they were plainly visible and she tried to cover them up- but eventually got to damned tired- even breathing was hard work at the time. She sat down Karishna standing by her- her head resting on his leg. Nodding he motioned his men with hand moments that were silent to follow and avoid contact. Then all nodded and followed into the garage and were silent. A few eyes Ulia but didn't move to say a work. She had saved their asses too many times to complain about smile things that couldn't be helped. He felt the ground vibrate and Ulia frowned,"There are.... three.... semi close karishna... We can't stay here- they will smell us..." she whispered to him, he heard her and he frowned at how breathless he was. He was sure been heard but only those two probably could have heard her voice was breathy.

Ryo was proud of the city, mostly because it was a design his family had come up with. From his great grandfather down to his father, a man much like himself had been a great scientist. In fact, he was a leader in the world of innovation and creation. However, his deeds went unknown with little recognition for the aid in creating the magnificent barrier that kept the people of Tokyo and its sister control areas safe through the war. But his father had been a blind fool, too narrowminded to see what power and possibilities his triumphs could bring him. But Ryo fixed that very quickly before his father could go and ruin everything... He glanced at Ai, taking in her fascination and the bright eyed view she had of it all. It was an awe-inspiring scene above ground, but also underground as well. Which was where they would be for this interesting little venture. "It is the pride of the world. The largest city left standing." He told her, glad to see the smile and her excitement. It was almost too human for its own good. The car zipped past buildings, following the tracked path in the air made from light. It was simply a guide line so people didn't kill themselves that frequently. "You'll get to see more of it perhaps one day. But for now I'm going to show you a rather more interesting part of the city. Something very few people have knowledge of." He said feeling he should mention it. What did he have to worry about with this machine anyways? She was no threat to him in any way, and besides she was made to be a companion, agent, or anything he needed really. ~~~ Ben observed what little he could see of the street from where he was by a split in the door. He knew they weren't totally safe here, but this was the best they could have at a time like this. "Sir, if we take the route through the old hotel district we can make it to the tram area in under thirty minutes." "We don't have that luxury." A few of his men were wakwardly watching Ulia, most worried since she was glowing. Ben chose to keep his mouth shut, since the girl had saved their hides back there by stopping the beast. He would ask for her honesty later, but for now he needed to focus on getting people out of here. "Ben, we've got an all clear on the side road. I think the Mech's are still a solid 12 or so away." Ben knew it was risky but what choice did he really have? "Alright, we'll move when the next round of fire starts. We need some kind of cover to-" Suddenly the metal doors gave a heavy scraping noise of something hitting them with quick a bit of force. Ben staggered back gun aimed at the door in anticipation of whatever just did that. He heard a roar that shook him to the core, however it wasn't directed at them. He saw the Mech from the dusty window as it landed and he cursed under his breath. "Bring it on. This thing need a few more scars." The pilot chuckled in a language Ben wasn't familiar with. Looks like they wouldn't be going much of anywhere at this point. Unless there was another way out. He contemplated from where he stood, ontop of an old sewer grate that was used to drain the old oil and water down into the cities main line (hint hint)

Ah yes, Tokyo was the largest city left after the war. Ai had accessed all the relative information related to it as soon as he mentioned it. Her mind worked faster than any human’s could and she was glad it could. It was a magnificent city, truly. Technology was engrained into everything, they were surrounded, yet it still almost felt natural. It was almost surreal. Ai was almost disappointed when Ryo told her that they were not going to be seeing more of the city. She dearly wanted to go and explore the wonders it was sure to hold, yet when he spoke of a part of the city that few people had knowledge of; Ai felt privileged and a trickle of excitement spike through her core. She wondered what it could be and since her heart was worn on her sleeve the curious excitement was evident on her features. She wanted to ask him more about it but felt it would be improper, settling for a happy and grateful smile. She turned her gaze away from the handsome male and looked out of the tinted windows of the vehicle high above the ground. She didn’t feel scared being so high up. She trusted that she was safe, that no one would put her in harm’s way. She was so naïve that it was almost sad, but she had only first opened her eyes little more than a day ago.
((Hope you can put up with my insanely late, craptastic post.))

Karishna heard the dull echo from it ans a smile spread hope over his face," Ben- the sewers... they will feed into the subway tunnels almost directly. and we are close to an enterence." he said as he pointed to his own feet. Ulia sat up- trying to focus- a small rest had help a bit however she wasn't going to make it far yet- she would opt to bring up the rear if not stay till she was able but she knew Karishana wouldn't allow that. He looked at her wanting her approval almost and she nodded with a smile that it was a good plan. He was so smart to think of little things unlike her who would have rested then went head first into trouble.
