August didn’t make it very far. Quite suddenly his ears were assaulted with the sound of cannons blasting and the sky was filled with flashing sparks in all colors. He turned his attention towards the sky, his neck tilted at an angle. The fireworks display was impressive to say the least; undoubtedly magic was being used to enhance the show. The colors swirled and popped and the night sky was filled with a magnificent show as the crowd about August stood transfixed, ooing and ahhing. He turned his eyes from the lights after a few moments and continued to step around seated couples and families. He could feel that the presence around him were more of a magical quality, their auras much more powerful than the average human. He was surrounded by witches and from what he could tell, they weren’t just your average witching families either. The demon prince in disguise found himself a secluded corner and leaned up against the wall of the building he was next to. His view of the sky was slightly blocked but it mattered not. He was in a good position here to go unnoticed by those around him. He could stay here until after the fireworks show and wait until it became less crowded. It was the perfect opportunity for him to enact his plan. He had a job to do, not that he was especially thrilled about the prospect. Still, he had wanted his book back ever since the Tsukiyo had thrown him out of the human realm. He had written that book and poured his knowledge of magic into it. There were rules, ethics, and spells so potent that if performed wrong could kill not only the caster but everyone nearby as well. Nearly everyone who came across him the past hundred or so years seemed to underestimate him. He was an incredibly powerful being with many hundreds of years’ worth of knowledge and experience at his fingertips. Even his Yumino, to his knowledge, didn’t seem to understand the power he had at his disposal. It wasn’t every demon that could reach into someone’s mind and unlock a portion of them. He closed his eyes, the bright lights of the show swirling behind his lids. It was incredibly dangerous of him to try and search for his book on this witch clan’s grounds but he really had no choice and it he couldn’t find it…well he was just going to have to make a grand entrance wouldn’t he? He knew about the meeting of the families after the fireworks display. It was risky, but he knew of the safeguards the Tsukiyo family used. He was sure they had not changed them. So, August stayed like that until the booming in the sky faded and the sounds of applause replaced the explosions. His eyes opened, flashing violet for but a moment as he watched the crowd begin to disperse. Off he went to steal back what was once his. ~~~ Suki giggled at Adrian’s reaction and pulled the photo out of the camera when it was spit out. She waved around the flimsy little photograph as she took a bite of the cinnamon bread. It was delicious and she took another one, chasing it down with a bite of the ice cream like dots. It was a sweet combination that she enjoyed. By the time she finished her creamy cool dots, the photo had finished developing and she looked at him, the photo outstretched for him to see. It was a silly photo with her smiling cheerfully and him looking a bit put off with a spoon halfway to his mouth. It was adorable really and she would cherish it. They both finished their sweet treats and after a little while of Adrian blinking and Suki just enjoying the quiet company and the curve of his body against hers, he spoke about the fireworks. She looked up at his smiling face and returned with a grin. “That sounds like fun.” She stated and after a few more moments, they stood up and Suki brushed herself off, placing the photo in her purse along with the camera. They held hands on the way there, stopping at a few little trinket vendors, Suki making him try on a traditional hat at one point and taking a picture of it while laughing like a child. They eventually made their way to where the firework display would be held and they found a nice spot on a slight hill, the sky wide open above them. They sat down once again, this time Suki really snuggling up with him, as though this would be the last time they could be like that for some time. “This is nice.” She murmured into his neck. Soon enough the fireworks display began and she marveled at the display. It was beautiful, especially for it coming from witches. She sighed appreciatively, her eyes glancing to Adrian, the lights from the sky portrayed on his young face. He was so young and she was dragging him into this mess. Suki wondered if it was wrong to have him help. She knew though that with such a war on the horizon, both sides would be using any means necessary to gain the upper hand.

When she offered him the picture to look at he did but couldn't help the smirk at what moment she had caught on camera. She looked to be in a good humored mood there in the phone while he was apparently caught off guard with a spoon half way out of his mouth. Well it wasn't too bad- he could have had food on his face or something worse. He found Suki being almost too sweet tonight- meaning she was really wanting him to do her that favor, she often then most times teased him, however as they walked she w happily held his hand. The vendors that they stopped at had traditional hats, masks, and other little things. Suki had him put on a hat, though he wasn't really happy with how it looked on him, but he figured Suki would keep the picture for fun since she was giggling as she snapped a photo. Continuing on towards the spot he was thinking about he knew they would have a great view of the fireworks. He took the lead once they got towards the more crowded areas. As he got to the slight hill, where he figured would be great to watch from. As they sat Suki got close and cuddled into his side, her breath warm on his neck as she spoke that the contact was nice. He wrapped an arm about her easily as thought it were only natural to do so and he gave her hair a light kiss," It is nice Momoko...Thank you for coming along tonight." He said avoiding the mean reason he was forced to go but having Suki there was a bonus. There was silence for the most part besides many people talking and milling about until there was a crackle and a boom over head- meaning the fireworks were beginning. The colors were magnificent and bright, sparkling ones, bold full colored flowers, shapes, pictures- the whole verity was nice. A little bit of the way into the firework show he felt eyes on him, making him first glance over at Suki- who was looking at him. Tilting his head, he leaned over and gave her lips a light kiss, the colors playing out over her face after he pulled away from her with a smile. He didn't want to take away from the firework show with words so he simply gave her what he wanted out of the evening before returning his eyes back skyward to look at a large blue firework that exploded into hundreds of shine sparkles after the blue was fading.

The shrine of the Tsukiyo family residence was a large room, dedicated once to the worship of an ancient being they once called the deity of the moon. It was an impressive room with high vaulted ceilings, that looked liked staked folded paper painted with scenes of far off mountains and constellations. The colors ranged from rich dark brown beam supports and carved curling accents that met with the roof and creams in the long flowing sheets hanging between the beams that depicted charms of protection, prosperity and balance. There were golds in the paper and decorative lighting that hung from places on the ceiling, rich blue in the tiles on the floor and cielings that resembled a rich night sky. In the center of the room was a large area for pew like seating that had been added in the more recent years, all of the seats before a stage that once housed offerings to their god. The offering area had since been removed, even the statues of dog spirits guarding the alter. The only thing true from the original temple was the overhead skylight fixture that once afforded a beautiful view of the moon on this exact festival night that was once used to celebrate their god. However the skylight had since been glassed over and the smog from the city allowed little to no visibility now. Now this shrine looked like an ancient, traditional meeting room that had the feel of a sacred place. Yumino entered with Hiko, staring in awe at the room that she seldom remembered as a child. Then she hadn’t been allowed in there, since only the adults were allowed in to discuss and listen to the council’s words. Now that she was there, she couldn’t help the beam of pride that glowed in her being. She was one of them now, her grandmother said so…She had done it. Yumino would have collapsed and actually cried with the relief she felt to hear that she had finally completed her goal in a sense, but there was a coldness in her heart that she was avoiding…it was the knowledge that August would decide what he wanted from her and then come for her…It was inevitable, just like this meeting. Since she was one of the immediate family members, she was allowed to sit in the second row next to Hiko’s father and her two aunts, both of which had their husbands and daughters Saika and Fumiko with them. Fumiko had eyed her funny over the crowd when Yumino sat down, the glare piercing like she wanted to cut Yumino with her stare. Saika simply ignored her, instead greeting Hiko as he sat down. They sat behind the leaders and council members of the other clans that sat in the forefront. They were to be honored after all, since they were considered the most powerful of the magic community. They were ordered by standing in class, starting with Takehiko's mother Manami and his grandfather. However, none of the Tsukiyo representatives joined them because they were busy on stage, or at least Katsuo was with a smile on his face and his head raised to the audience in pride. The room was full of magical families, all there to listen and be swayed to the new world they were going to be building together. The new world the Tsukiyo would be ruling of course but details details…All that mattered was that the world was set right, to the true balance it deserved. The room grew quiet as Katsuo cleared his throat, his voice carrying by way of a spell cast to project a voice over a room like a microphone without the need for the human technology. “Greetings fellow clans. Oshiro, Sohren, Otomo, and Hashiji, The Tsukiyo family welcomes you to celebrate yet another excellent year passing us, marking the liberation of our clans from the oppression of the false gods.” He bowed a bit as the people clapped to offer sounds of happiness at the congragulations to them and the boasting of an achievement once thought to be impossible or outlandish. To cast out a god was not easy, especially not when they were the same source of power you used for generations…But they all did the impossible and for that, they should be rewarded. “For it is because of our power that we are the true heart of Japan that was built to greatness under our guiding hand and divine right above all others.” He recieved a few noises of agreement before he finally took a step back and bowed low for a woman who entered from the back of the stage with two rather large men flanking her sides. She approached the center of the stage, looking out at the people as if an empress looking out on her subjects. A very confident smile pulled at her painted lips before she spoke in a voice that was smooth and entrancing, despite that it hardly sounded like an old woman’s voice. “It is our divine right of power over all that would oppose us. Tonight we have all gathered here to celebrate, to reminisce yet move ahead from our past to our bright future as a unified front. And it is with that notion that I allow the meeting commence.” She took a seat in the seat on the stage prepared for her, a simple cushion seat, allowing for her to show her refinery in the old ways, while Katsuo took his seat off stage with Haruka. Yumino could see the reason why Katsuo left shimmering briefly around the grandmother. A barrier had been thrown up around the stage, blocking an on coming attack or dangerous entity from attack. The loop hole was that only those that were summoned into the barrier could enter, meaning when called, Hiko and Yumino would be allowed in to announce their marriage and the binding of Tsukiyo and Oshiro. Also so that the other family representatives would be allowed to speak on their behalf there. The meeting would simply begin with the first wave of propaganda, big news and then a quick farewell before the real meetings could begin where leaders and their immediate family were asked to join the Tsukiyo in the main portion of the home to discuss the true affairs over drinks. "Welcome leaders of Oshiro, Sohren, Otomo, and Hashiji. This invitation was in good favor, to bring about a camaraderie as we face a new era, one that will change our world for the greater....I invite the leaders to speak on their behalf." She said since she would't get into detail till she was sure everyone was ready and prepared, greeted and feeling comfortable, especially since the news of war would be a big one.

Suki was pleased with the kiss she received from Adrian, surprisingly enough it made her heart flutter. She mentally rolled her eyes at herself but enjoyed the rest of the fireworks show. She was slow to rise when it ended, hugging Adrian tighter for a moment. This meant that they probably would have a rougher relationship now. No more fun or games to be played, at least not as often as Suki would have liked. She had to help him and he had to help her. It was a dangerous game she was asking him to play after all. She stood with him and they followed the crowd, however, they broke away from the majority of the crowd and headed towards the building that would host the meeting. She stopped and pulled him into a makeshift alley between a building and a few bushes. She brushed her lips to his before pulling away, a serious expression on her features. “This is it, Adrain.” She said simply and gripped both of his hands before letting them go. “I know you have no desire to do this and I thank you deeply for putting yourself into an uncomfortable position. This will probably be boring to you and full of senseless talking but I am sure there will be some form of information you can gather from this meeting. Please, try to pick out the pertinent from the superfluous.” She paused and nibbled her bottom lip, unsure how he would react to her next words. “I think it would also be best if you could try and make friends—fine at least play nice with some of the bigger heads in the families. If you can worm your way into an inner circle of some kind, I think it would be very beneficial for us. Do you understand?” She wasn’t really asking him though, really just trying to pump him up. Quickly enough there was the chatter of individuals entering the council meeting and she pecked him on the cheek before pushing him out of the alley way. It was time for him to go/ “Good luck Adrian!” She called out and made the shape of a heart with her fingers in case he looked back at her. When he was gone she sighed and leaned up against the wall. She guessed she had time now to wander the festival some more if she wanted to. She also hoped everything worked out well with Adrain.
~~~
Otomo Kogen had a smile on his lips as he made his way into the once shrine of the Tsukiyo. His silvery white hair hung loose down to his waist, russet brown eyes observing all around him. His aunt, Teru was on his arm as he walked with her down the pathway to one of the first pews up by the stage. She was chatting merrily about the fireworks, Kogen agreeing with her almost absent mindedly. Following behind them was Otomo Saizo, one of Kogen’s younger cousins. Kogen allowed his aunt to sit first, the woman’s greying dark hair in an intricately braided bun, a silver pin adorned with rubies holding it all in place. Her Kimono was a vibrant red, eye catching as she so enjoyed. “You are too kind to me, Kogen.” She said with an airy voice but Kogen just patted her on the shoulder. “If it wasn’t for you, Oba-chan, I would have failed long ago.” Kogen replied, his voice deep but still holding the boyish respect towards his aunt. Saizo, a black haired boy with eyes that showed his relation to the head of the Otomo clan walked to the other side of Teru, his expression rather stoic. It was obvious, to Kogen at least, that he was on guard. It made him chuckle on the inside. He had trained his cousin well after all. The young man had a narrow face and messy black hair. His posture was stick straight and the pure black yukata gave the sense that he would rather not be noticed. However, he was wearing a vibrant red haori that nearly matched Teru’s kimono. Kogen noticed that it hid the multiple knifes strapped to his torso quite well. “Relax, Sai-kun. We are all allies here.” Kogen said softly and sat, adjusting his posture to account for the two scabbards holding blades he wore openly on his hips. His white and black haori flashed red underneath and he nodded at one of the Tuskiyo family who eyed him warily. It was uncommon to carry weapons openly to a clan meeting of any kind but the Otomo were often given leeway with that unwritten rule. They may have been the second lowest ranking out of the five families, but they were known for their skilled fighting. To force an Otomo to lay down their weapon was to strip a very piece of their body and soul away. It was as though you were taking a part of their magic from them. Kogen sat straight, his hands on his knees as he stared up at the stage. Saizo sat after his clan leader, not looking any more relaxed after the gentle words. He kept his eyes moving around, glancing towards anyone that moved quickly. There was a giggle from a female Tsukiyo who shyly smiled in Saizo’s direction; however the dark haired young man seemed only to look her way for a brief moment. The three were quiet; those from the Sohren were to their far right and even farther to their right were the Oshiro. They all had the time to take in the majestic surroundings. Kogen felt the power emanating from what had once been a shrine to an old god. He knew of its history, probably better than some of the Tsukiyo for the legend of the battle between the Tsukiyo and their god had been passed down to each family head of the Otomo. After all, they had been a contributing factor the reason behind the Tsukiyo winning. Their silence was disturbed by a presence that could do nothing to hide their annoyance. Kogen knew who was standing now to his right but he pretended not to notice until they walked in front of him. The girl was in her very early twenties and pretty faced, though she looked only to be in her teenage years. Her silky brown hair was let loose but for a small portion pinned to the back of her head with a jade comb. It hung about her features in soft waves. Her green eyes shone bright with anger as she looked down at Kogen. He said nothing but only smiled graciously, bowing his head slightly. “Good evening, Hashiji Seshiru-san.” Teru spoke, her voice pleasant despite the obvious tension between her nephew and the girl. The stoic faced young woman’s nose twitched and she walked away, her pale green yukata boasting even paler pink flowers and a black design. She was accompanied by three others. One of which stopped before Teru and Kogen, bowing in a relaxed manner. He was blond and honey eyed, wearing a forest green yukata with silver accents. An apologetic smile graced his handsome face. “Good evening Lady Otomo—Kogen-san.” The man spoke before adding more words as he stood upright and rubbed his chin. “I apologize for my wife’s behavior. You know how she gets.” Kogen smiled and nodded. He recognized the man as Ryota of the Sohren clan. He was of one of the branch families of the Sohren but he was regarded as quite the powerhouse in illusion magic, making him a perfect fit for the husband to the Hashiji clan head. They had not been married very long but Kogen had liked the man. He was only three years his junior and quick witted. “Oh dear, do not worry about such things.” Teru waved him off and he smiled a bit stiffly at the nonchalance of the woman. He nodded his head before walking to join his wife who was already seated. Behind him trailed two others. There was Hashiji Azami. She was nearing thirty and had an uncharacteristic shade of orange hair, white highlights spread randomly throughout. She had chosen to keep it that way despite the formal event though it looked quite pretty in the messy bun that kept all but a few strands of hair from her enchanted burnt orange eyes. She held a fierce gaze as always, her body stance more masculine than feminine, though it was hard to see her as anything but a female with her curved body in a black kimono with pale green flowering trees printed about the fabric. Kogen’s brow rose slightly when she turned her head to look at him, the tip of a thickly lined black tattoo peeking out from the right side of her collar. He wouldn’t deny that she was pretty, but she definitely was not his type. He noticed Saizo’s eyes on the woman though and suppressed a snicker. It seemed his cousin had differing taste in women. After Azami had passed, a brown haired man who’s most striking feature was a pair of incongruous eyes hidden by a pair of thick framed, dark navy glasses. His name was Hashiji Takeshi. He was originally an obscure member of one of the Hashiji branch families. However, his eyes gave way to a power great enough for him to have been born into the main branch. This left him with more power than one might expect. The man smiled and unexpectedly waved at all of the Otomo clan, his features pleasant and almost carefree, unlike the other two born into the Hashiji clan. At the four finally sat, Otomo Kogen turned his attention back to the happenings upon the stage. Hashiji Seshiru sat back into the pew, her husband on her right and her two cousins on her left. She knew that Kogen was going to be attending but it didn’t make her happy that he had greeted her with such a sly looking smile. He was a rude and selfish bastard that had no right to even look at her. Suddenly she felt a warm hand clasp over her own and she looked to her right as her blond haired husband smiled warmly. They were not in love but they considered each other good enough friends. Their marriage was strictly political after all. Still, the gesture was something unexpected but dare she say sweet? “Calm yourself, Ru-chan. It will do you no good to get worked up over another man’s presence when there is plenty else to focus on.” Ryota said quietly before squeezing her hands and then letting go. “Plus, you don’t want to make your husband jealous do you?” He teased her, winking in a flirty manner. It made Seshiru’s cheeks flush slightly and she nodded, a bit embarrassed that she had let her emotions be so obvious, though Ryota always had said he could read her like a book even when others could not. She could only guess it was because they shared a bed together, as was expected of them, though they still had yet to have any luck producing any offspring. She tried to pay attention to the preparations on the stage but a grunt from her left drew her attention. She found Takeshi hunched over slightly in his seat as Azari glared at him without amusement. “Quit flirting, mutt.” Azari spoke, her tone harsh and full of resentment. Seshiru’s lips pulled tight and she found herself now angry with her cousin. Takeshi looked up, his ashamed face quickly turning back to his usual smiling self. It seemed he didn’t want her to think he found the discriminatory name Azari called him made him feel anything. Seshiru leaned to her left and touched Azari’s arm gently. “I will only give you one warning.” Her tone was cold and she felt Azari freeze. The girl, though older than her, feared the wrath of her clan head and knew exactly what Seshiru meant. “Yes, Hashiji-sama.” Azari replied in a very tense and respectful tone. She obviously did not want to anger her leader. With the little hiccup, Seshiru turned her attention back to the stage. She was not going to have her lesser clan mates behave in such a manner. They were already at the bottom of the food chain in regards to the five families. She would not let them be seen squabbling as though they deserved the title. Soon enough it began. Tsukiyo Katsuo took center stage and spoke as a politician might, prideful and confident. He caught everyone’s attention. Kogen and Seshiru applauded politely when everyone else did, though for different reasons. Seshiru had been hearing rumors of unsettling news and while Kogen had heard the rumors as well, he was uncomfortable with the manner in which the young man was addressing the crowd. When an older woman stepped out onto the stage, her aura powerful and her expression of superiority irritating to Kogen, everyone knew who she was. She was the most powerful in this room. The head of the Tsukiyo and a woman of very sound mind despite the age she looked. She sat in a traditional manner, surly to show off in front of the other families and to keep the respect of her own. Seshiru admired the woman and hoped one day to have her own family look upon her with such respect. As it was now, her own family and those of the five families were unsure about her abilities. She was quite young, but she would make a grand impression. She was strong and a fit leader. Why else would her parents have retired so early? They were counting on the next generation to make them stronger. When the Tsukiyo clan head opened up the floor for the leaders, without hesitation, Seshiru stood. “My name is Hashiji Seshiru. I thank you, Tsukiyo head, for your invitation. Might I also offer you congratulations on this anniversary of the dethroning of your old god.” She bowed her head and then turned to face those sitting in the pews with her. “I my greetings to all of the families and offer myself to your clan heads. I beg that you let me use you as a guiding example on what it is to be a gracious and respect worthy leader. Thank you.” She gave a respectful bow to her right, where the rest of the clan heads were seated. As she rose up right, her eyes met with the russet colored ones of Kogen and she stiffened before sitting. There was silence after. It was uncommon for the lowest ranking family to speak first after the floor was open. She was new, only a leader for a year, and young. This was her first meeting of all of the clans and she had wanted to make an impression. Well, she had. Kogen was not so eager to speak and so he let the Sohren and Oshiro clan leaders speak first. The same words of thanks and congratulations were shared as well as any updates that the leaders thought necessary. More in depth conversation would be held later. He honestly found the whole formality of this a bit tedious. They all knew where they belonged. Each knew where the other stood and who they stood on top of. This was just a political show for the other family members in attendance. Eventually he was the only one left and so he stood, resting his right arm on the hilt of the blade peeking out from his haori. His yukata was black and white and though there was barely any color to his outfit, he stood out. He bowed low to the Tsukiyo head, though he kept his eyes on the older woman. He held only the required respect for her and her family. They didn’t run things the way he felt they should and they only did what was best for their family, not what was best for the rest of the magical world. Still, he owed them his allegiance and therefore they had his respect, despite what the Tsukiyo had done to his family… “I send you my greetings Tsukiyo, Oshiro, Sohren, and Hashiji.” He spoke, words slow and purposeful. He looked at each family head as he spoke their family name before returning his gaze back to the Tsukiyo head on the stage. “Thank you for your invitation to this magnificent festival and gathering of the families. I am honored. I, also, wish you congratulations on this night for without your show of strength, we would all surely be bound by our false gods.” He blinked and the corner of his lips twitched as though he was suppressing a smile. If he had smiled it would have been one that showed his disbelief in the words he was speaking for he only spoke them to keep their families at peace with one another. “I have no interesting news to speak of this year—however,” He paused and smiled with an air of curiosity. “The underground has been bringing me rumors of a most—unsettling nature. Am I wrong to hope that we might find out the truth behind the lies?” He questioned, meaning simply that he was curious to know if the rumors of war were true or not. There were murmurs from his blatant questioning of the Tsukiyo head but he sat and looked rather unconcerned. He had followed protocol and done nothing impolite really. Still, he wondered what Grandma Tsukiyo would say to his words
Adrian felt her hug him a bit tighter as the fireworks were coming to an end however he felt a little bad that it was ending- things were going to get serious after this. They followed the crowd around a bit, but branched off towards the main house. He was invited so he ahd no worries however he was janked into the sideways- more of a pause between the greenery and the fence by Suki. He felt her lips brush his a bit unsure in a way but he took if for what it was, letting her pull away, her hands that let go- were warm- he missed them already. he listed to her words, he thought it was cute, but he couldn't help the unease he felt about this. He was technically spying here for a demon-however the demon was his girlfriend. He nodded to her words about trying to get in well with others- it almost sounded like a pep talk but he just smiled and nodded. "I will do my best for you Momoko." he said quietly to her before he turned briefly to hear people talking as they entered- Suki however took that as her cue to give him a peck and sent him on his way. Adrian glanced back to see her give him a little heart sign with her hands before he smiled at her, heading inside to see his aunt.
-------------------- Anetta was in her seat, her robes a brilliant blue with flowers along the bottom in a more natural pattern however she was slightly impatient that Adrian was taking his time. She of course understood the festival however she asked him to be early, seemingly an easy enough request. She was sitting alone at the moment however because if her sister were still capable they would already be present- having prided herself in being early- Adrian apparently wasn't like his mother in that aspect. Her eyes on him as he finally came into the room, following around until he saw her and nodded a greeting, making her smile- as he took his mothers' spot. He looked well put together, however he looked sociable and well rounded for now. She looked up from her hands that were in her lap as Katsuo greeted them, she gave a respectful nod, As the man went on about having a divine right to rule over others she nodded making a small noise of agreement, since that was how she saw things. They listened as the youngest member herself and made a worth while introduction yet a bit unorthodox. She stood next after catching Kogan's look, he wans't eager to speak it seemed. She stood, making Adrian stand as well, to bow in greeting. "I am Anetta Sohren- current head of the Sohren house hold. My dear Nephew Adrian is fillin for his mother, Ayami- may she still make a recovery. We both thank you, Tsukiyo head for your thoughts in inviting us. May we ever celebrate this event in our victory." It was a simple greeting before they took either seats, however Adrian was a little tired of this formal atmosphere already. His eyes on kogan's as he looked a their household he kept firm eye contact- not challenging but strong. Suki wanted him to appear strong and worth while so hew as going to try- which seemed to please his aunt.
((forgot to do the Oshiro intro so I'll just do that here))
Yumino felt the collective shock when the lowest ranking family head spoke up first, though she had to say she admired the woman for doing so. It was hard to become a clan leader, and the fact this woman did it at a young age already spoke of her skill and confidence as a leader. That was what she hoped the other's felt, however, it seemed that message wasn't received. In fact, she heard one of her aunts scoff something under her breath about the Hashiji being "trash", which stirred a discomfort from Yumino that even Hiko felt. He had learned that all the clans were necessary for the others survival. Each had something to contribute to their world and each had something they kept in balance. The Oshiro prided themselves in knowledge, and so Hiko had to learn the proper backgrounds and style of each family as he grew up. He held great respect for them, even the Otomo who his father usually called boorish thugs. Manami Oshiro seemed to not even be fazed by Seshiru's out of order greeting and jumped right in as though not even missing a beat. "Hello everyone from Oshiro Manami, it's good to see you all in good health and prosperity. I thank you Tsukiyo family for allowing us to your home for this celebration of the bright future." She bowed in respect with a gleeful smile on her face before she sat next to the stone face Oshiro family head that was silently staring ahead. He didn't speak often due to his recent bout of tremors that made his voice shake. Besides, Manami was the active member seen and recognizable almost everywhere since she was very extroverted. It was better to let her handle the important speeches since she was a loyal woman, brilliant in her own right. As the greetings proceeded in the correct order, Katsuo checked his watch, feeling the pressure of time weighing on his impatience. He wanted to be done with all the hoopla and get to the real fun. It was time to really get started on their plans for a greater purpose, which they were inclined to make sure the Hashiji and Otomo sided with them. Manami was already on board with researching the demons hence why her labs been so busy as of late...And the Sohren did well in their end of the bargain in catching and maintaining the beasts. The Tsukiyo would bend to news of war due to the need of power. Now all they needed was the strength of the Otomo warriors and the numbers and black deals from the Hashiji. When all had spoke, Kogen being last, the question he posed stirred the room in a way that made Katsuo's brow twitch upwards. He was glad the old man wanted to get to the real information first but that wasn't for the underlings to hear... The clan head of the Tsukiyo, gave Kogen a look of stone like apathy, though that was usually just how her resting face usually looked. She was not shocked by the questions about recent rumor of was since it was all true...Why would she lie about it when this meeting was more like a rally to battle? However, him calling them lies made her smile softly, the smile uncharacteristic for her more serious features. "Rumors have been passed for centuries, Otomo-san. Though some rumors begin in truth... It is best to not let them unsettle us." She said, a small dig at his weakness that was not as obvious as she would have liked. Honestly, how could a proud Otomo be unsettled by war? The very meaning of a witches power was to use it to better themselves and their world. She let the words linger a moment before she gave him a nod. "But we have all night to speak of the truths behind such whispers. In the meantime, let us instead speak upon the pressing matters, like the recent dealings in black magic markets and illegal summoning charges against rogue clan deserters..." She changed the topic easily wanting to stick to the agenda and make the lesser clan members feel more important. She needed their vote after all in dealing with their leaders to get their sides.
Kogen listened to what the Tsukiyo head said, her little dig at him causing no real visible reaction other than the slight tightening of his jaw. The old woman had no reason to be so rude, although very few would understand the jab. It was hidden but he knew the meaning. She was trying to make it seem that he was weak. It was not the idea of war that he found unsettling, rather that the rumors spoke of disrupting the balance between witches and demons that had been formed for centuries. He worried that it would break the thin ties binding together their worlds. It felt, to him, that they would be going against nature itself. However, he would not step away from a fight for it was not the way of the Otomo. They were a clan of fighters and if the five families needed their power—well then they would have it so long as the pride of the Otomo was upheld. Quickly, though, the old woman changed topics and Kogen wondered on the touchy topic he had pressed upon. He had been so engrossed in the Tsukiyo heads reply that he didn’t notice the puff of air emit from Seshiru’s nose in something like a laugh. She had found it funny, how the Tsukiyo head had replied to Kogen. The jerk was nothing more than a coward in her mind anyways. The meeting continued and discussions were held. It felt like an eternity to Kogen, though Seshiru seemed to find the proceedings intriguing, it being her first time participating as a clan head.
Adrian honestly felt a bit out of lace there, not really knowing many of them, having perhaps seen one or two of them ever in his life- his mother bringing them around or at a party. He listened and watched little reactions, his eyes never in one place about the room, taking in everyone's reactions to little things. His attention was drawn to the new girl however- having seen how the others had dissed her so early on in this meeting but he found that she was strong, perhaps a new face there- not that he would know. However his aunt seemed on the edge with her. At the mention of rouge deserters and summoners, his aunts back stiffened, Adrian noticed. His own mother had been convicted of such until some others who had 'been in the loop' told them other wise however they let her take the fall for her summoning problem. They were a clan known for circles or magical protection of sorts- they could hold many creatures- they would hold back the strongest things- even if it sacrificed the witch- the line was held. His mother was simply dumb to him, letting a demon threw the circle simple because you dismissed it- he called it a lack of attentiveness. However now that eh knew the entire truth he was a little more at peace with some things- however that was only with his mother- the rest that it had uncovered was unsettling. His aunt glanced over at Adrian and nodded to him more as a confirmation to him that the meeting was getting along. He nodded back but kept his mouth shut, his eyes moving. He wanted to be sure he knew these people- they could very well be against him in a while to come.
The meeting progressed through the stages of format it always did, starting with the pettier issues to the more pressing matters. Most all families were involved in the discussion, stating their opinions and facts on how to handle certain issues. Finally however, when the matters were done and accounted for, the head of the Tsukiyo clan felt that she had enough in attention and working together to begin her talk of the real matters at hand. "Now that we have all planned our course of action for the coming year, let us speak now on more jovial matters." The Tsukiyo clan head rose from her less than comfortable seated position and gracefully folded her hands in front of her so that they were absconded by the sleeves of her kimono. "In keeping with this spirit of companionship and the alliance of the clans," She stated, her face portraying a joy that did not meet her eyes that were void of emotion as usual, "I am proud to announce merger that is the first of its kind between Oshiro and Tsukiyo." She raised a hand in Yumino's direction and by some unknown force she suddenly stood board straight, Hiko joining shortly after wards. They walked forward, Yumino feeling a quake go through her at the idea of being up on stage in front of all these people. Why was that necessary? Takehiko saw Yumino was nervous and kept his hand firmly laced with hers. He had a feeling the Tsukiyo were up to something with making this announcement a big deal. Perhaps it had something to do with that secret Kogen probed for? When they finally reached the stage, Yumino saw the grandmother make a small sign with her fingers and Yumino and Hiko were allowed to pass through the invisible barrier that kept them from reaching the head of the family. Yumino however felt her marks from August burn as she crossed into the intricate barrier that turned to an instant relief, something that was more for boding than reassuring... "Join me children." The Tsukiyo head said, motioning for them to stand beside her. Yumino moved almost woodenly beside Hiko, standing erect as she looked out at the unfamiliar faces around her that came from every clan imaginable...She felt her heart throb and her stomach lurch and for a moment she though she might be sick, especially when he grandmother spoke again. "I would like to announce that my granddaughter Tsukiyo Yumino will be wed to Oshiro Takehiko this spring, uniting the gap between Oshiro and Tsukiyo at last." Yumino saw Hiko suddenly dip into a bow of gratitude as sounds of clapping started and Yumino quickly followed suit. She could feel her grandmother watching her closely, so she was trying to do everything right. She was a Tsukiyo now, she had to live up to their standard of perfection. As the two rose, the clan head smiled and looked to her captive audience with the intent of a cat having caught a canary. They ate up this fluffy stuff, which made it easier to push to point of unity of a banner to fight against the demons... "With this unity shall come an understanding of partnership and perseverance of our families to survive and prosper. As we all should be allowed to. My fellow clans, are we not all equal in our right to obtain power? Are we not powerful beings with means to conquer as we see fit? Are we not the people that conquered our false gods and cast them from a realm that should naturally be ours? That is why I am here to address a matter with you that has been brewing for some time. This matter is a struggle between good and evil, light and darkness, witches and demons." She announced, drawing the room into a collective silence that was from shock, bafflement or fear. She was ready for feed back and back fire, but steeled herself to defend her case. She would win this argument, even if she had to slaughter a few demons to prove a point...
The meeting proceeded as usual. It wasn’t until the tides changed to something most would consider happy that Kogen tilted his head in curiosity. A Tsukiyo girl who he had only seen occasionally and the Oshiro boy both walked up onto the stage. It didn’t get by him that they were holding hands and so he was pretty sure he knew what was coming next. However, why did he get the feeling that the girl was unhappy? Seshiru had been paying attention raptly to the meeting. All of the news brought up was intriguing to her for only rumors and half-truths had reached her ears. She thought it wonderful to be able to hear all of the going ons as of late in the magic community. She even felt a surprisingly girlish bit of excitement when a Tsukiyo girl and Oshiro boy were brought up onto the stage. The Tsukiyo head spoke of marriage and it made Seshiru wonder how much more power this union would bring the top two clans. Her eyes glanced to her right and she caught sight of Kogen’s unsmiling face. He seemed to be deep in thought though she internally scoffed. The man didn’t have an ounce of intelligence in his being—though she knew that was a lie, it made her feel better. Quite quickly, the announcement of glad tidings was shifted to something more like a siege for power. Kogen gave the Tsukiyo head credit. She knew how to set herself up and how to make the biggest impact. As she should, what with her age and experience. Her words seemed to crescendo into something more until it was out—she had subtly swayed and pushed the topic of conquering and power into the ever present struggle between witches and demons. Kogen’s brow rose as the old woman finished her sentence. Shock was not apparent on his features but he was inwardly appalled at the fact that the Tsukiyo had something so—unnatural in mind. To him, balance was everything. He could see the desire for power though but he stood silent, rather wanting to see how this all played out instead. Seshiru’s eyes widened, her painted lips parting slightly in shock at the words that had come from the elderly Tsukiyo head. She had no idea why they would think of announcing something like this without the consultation of the other head families. She didn’t know whether to think it a good idea or a bad, but the only solid conclusion she could gather was that this was a prelude to something akin to war…why else would they speak of the desire for power and conquering as they saw fit? It made her brain feel hazy from all of the thinking. ~~~ August frowned. So far he had combed through five of the smaller storerooms while evading the eyes of the Tsukiyo guards meant to protect the meeting going on. He had been unsuccessful in his search and it was getting on in the night. He was running out of time and patience. It seemed he had no other choice… He sighed, running his hands through his brown hair and feeling the texture. His blue eyes quickly changed colors, fading into the violent violet that was their true color. He was going to have to do something drastic and dangerous as he feared, though in all honesty he could use something to get his blood boiling. Anything to keep his mind off of Yumino, right? He cracked his neck and a plume of black smoke, twinkling with purple and silver sparkles engulfed him. He stepped out and smiled down at his now prince-like attire. He was wearing the colorful yukata his sister had told him not to wear there. His hair was the silver white he preferred, messy and matching the color of the moon above him. He looked up, cocking his head to the side as his lips parted some. A sharp fang glinted in the moonlight as he took a deep breath. He supposed there was no better time than now. ~~~ The family members in the crowd and the clan heads were all silent after the words spoken by the Tsukiyo head. Quietly, murmurs began to surface until there was a crescendo in noise. One of the clan heads made to stand to silence everyone and speak their mind; however, they were unable to because a rather violent bang shattered the chatter. On the stage which had stood Yumino, Takehiko, and the Tsukiyo head appeared a ball of black smoke, glinting and shimmering in the light. It exploded out, creating the sound that caught everyone’s attention. Out stepped a barefoot, ornately clad man with silver hair and bright violet eyes. The silence permeated the room once more, but only for a second when the shock had settled and the move to arms commence. They were all too slow. Rather quickly, the guards that were with grandma Tsukiyo were thrown from her protective barrier and within the blink of an eye, a circle had been thrown up around the stage. It had once been an altar where offerings and ceremonies were held for him. The Tsukiyo family was smart but they were also a proud people. They had never removed the circle etched into the earth by magic that stood below the altar, now stage. August knew of this circle and he used it to his advantage. There was no way that anyone could get to them now, not unless he lowered the circle himself. He clapped his hands together, an expression of cocky joy spreading across his features. His violet eyes trailed across the three witches in the circle now with him. Grandma Tsukiyo was surely not stupid enough to make a move rashly against him for he was sure she knew who he was. He caught sight of Takehiko and waved his hand almost absent mindedly at the boy. Takehiko was brought to his knees most unceremoniously to August’s pleasure. He tsked and wagged his finger at the he-witch. His grin was infuriatingly smug. The little brat would be unable to move from his humiliating position unless August let him. Lastly, his eyes fell upon Yumino. He had felt her presence here and though he found it unfortunate, she had helped in his entrance whether she knew it or not. He merely blinked at her and turned his back. She would not harm him. She was not that neither stupid nor so bold as to try and harm her master in front of all these people. She would surly feel many negative things towards him by the end of this but he didn’t care. Tonight he had one goal in mind and he could not—no he would not allow a female witch to cloud his mind when he needed to be in top shape for the performance that was about to occur. With a flourish, he spun around and faced the crowd, bowing almost mockingly. The crowd could see through his tarnished aura circle just fine, though the thick taint on his should occasionally floated past as though it was a cloud on the transparent circle. If that didn’t give away more so what he was than he feared the crowd to be ignorant and stupid. “Now, now children. There’s no need to throw such a fit.” He said and grinned wickedly, his incisors sharp. “I merely want to have a word with the Tsukiyo’s fearless leader.” He turned his head and flashed a grin towards the old woman. “Tsukiyo-chan! My it has been quite some time since I have seen you…” He trailed off and walked a bit closer to her. “You’re looking as old as ever.”
Anetta watched as the two joined the leader on stage and wasn't very surprised to see them getting engaged however as the head began going on about power, her face was inching into a smile. She was going to stand and make a statement however the room suddenly burst into something less the savory. Her eyes wide, she watched as Adrian reacted much faster then herself. He was fine with listening to everyone go on and on about some ones wedding. He didn't know them nor did he really want to. If push came to shove he would be nice and pretend to get along however that was for Suki. When the loud bang filled the room along with the sent of burning metal and sulfur. The noise only made him stand in defense waiting for what was suddenly there with them, however what he saw made his eyes go wide. The voice was familiar, the face was as well- the eyes just as piercing as he remembered from Suki's brother. His mark on his wrist giving a burn as he looked at the demon. With a frown-he heard the voice, he gave a very small nod to him when his eyes went to him very briefly. He did however look over the circle that was up- there was the basic protective one however August had one up as well- making him think about the history of the place. There used to be a summoning alter there- he assumed with the stage but he wasn't for sure- not that he could simply go look. He noted the tarnished aura glaze over the other one that the family head had placed up but knew no one was getting out of there unless August said so. He stepped in front of his aunt and simply watched what was happening, he was curious to hear what he was going to say to the head.
Yumino felt her heart beating right out of her chest, her head spinning and the feeling of incredible weight pressing down on her as the words carried from her grandmother’s mouth. She wanted to sit down, to get away from the news of a struggle between witches and demons. They couldn’t be serious…the war was over…why should they bother with demons anymore? Yumino clasped her wrist tightly beneath the sleeve of the kimono and could feel August’s mark there. There was a pang of fear that crept its way into her mind, so fleeting that she couldn’t stop it before she realized what it was over. Did this mean that they would be fighting August? She didn’t understand why that worried her beyond the idea of facing his power…but there was something inside of her that feared him being harmed… The thought was thrown from her mind when suddenly the mark gave a painful pulse, one that made her wince and let out a small gasp. Takehiko, who had been staring wide eyed at the grandmother, reacted to the noise and touched Yumino’s arm. “Hana—“ Before he could finish, smoke appeared on the stage accompanied by a loud sound that disturbed the room into shouts and movement away from the stage. Though Yumino could feel Hiko trying to put her behind him for protection, she didn’t move. She simply stared as a being emerged from the black smoke and met the startled group with a cocky, almost regal presence. August was quick to make a fool out of the guards surrounding her grandmother, throwing them from the circle as if he were flicking ants off his sleeve. The circle he cast forced Yumino and Hiko closer to the grandmother since the tainted power it gave off was unsettling and dangerous. Yumino’s throat tightened and she suddenly got that heart stopping feeling like a deer in the head lights. She was trapped in this circle with August, infront of everyone including her grandmother and Hiko….What was he going to do? As she stared at him with wide eyed shock, she couldn’t help that a small noise of concern escaped her when Hiko suddenly dropped to his knees. He grunted and looked livid at the demon, like he wanted to obliterate August where he stood, but Yumino knew he wouldn’t stand a chance… Finally August returned her gaze, his own void of any feeling she remembered seeing only moments ago…that only played into her fears of him tricking her…reminding her that there was no way a selfish demon could care at all for her or anyone….When he looked away her jaw tightened and she knelt beside Hiko, trying to check to see that he was okay. The leader of the Tsukiyo family watched August make his little entrance, her eyes burning with a hate that was clear to any that could read her. She hated this beast with a passion for all the grief it caused them. She wanted to see it burn with the rest of its kind. Its grin towards her made her stiffen as the beast commented on her age, sounding as if it were talking to an old friend. It infuriated her, but she kept herself poised and practical as she had always been taught to be. “You are looking proud for a being cast out centuries ago, beast. Shouldn’t you be off terrorizing practitioners to collect your filthy deals, not defiling a gathering where your kind are not welcome?” She said, her expression sharp and hardly inviting despite the casualness of her tone. Be it demon or higher being, Yumino was not one to be tossed around or talked down to. No Tsukiyo bowed to something so vile. She didn’t get her status for being cowardly or stupid. She knew who the demon was, it was their old god, its name lost to centuries and locked away in that spell book so that none could use it again. Not even she knew the name, since it was forbidden to even speak it after their ancestors cast the demon out. She wouldn’t fight it, that would be foolish without proper aid, but she wouldn’t bow down to it either. Should it find the resilience problematic and choose to harm her, all the more proof for their need in destroying the creatures…
August heard the rustle of Yumino’s kimono as she knelt down to worry over her new little lover boy. It irritated him but that didn’t show on his features. He had other matters to attend to right now; other things to think about. So he ignored his emotions and focused only on what he needed to accomplish. Dare he say it felt nice just to act as he wished? It had been a long time since he had behaved with only one goal in mind—a goal where he didn’t have to worry about the other parties feelings. He heard the Tsukiyo heads words and pulled an over exaggerated offended expression, covering his lips with one hand as he gasped. “Yumi-chan! You are just too cruel!” He said before lowering his hand, revealing a grin that showed he just found her words petty and humorous. She could say very little to hurt him. She wouldn’t know what to say either for she didn’t know that one of his weaknesses was standing within his very circle with them. He chuckled and walked over towards her, his each and every step purposeful like a predator stalking their prey. He oozed the confidence only found in royalty, the ring bearing his royal status glinting in the light. His black yukata with teals and reds and greens flowed about him like rippling water, still seeming to move even when he stopped, inches away from the old woman. “Is that anyway to speak to your namesake?” He question, voice low and brow raised. He wondered if the generations had passed down the reason why they were known as the Tsukiyo. If they did still remember than it was likely that they kept it a secret. After all, who would want it to be known that your clan was named after the very demon god you worshiped. Of course, it wasn’t his true name. They weren’t allowed to speak that name openly during public ceremonies but for rare occasions. It would have been bad for business. “Please, let’s not be so spartan as to call each other names. By all accounts, do call me by the name your ancestors worshiped me by. What was it? Oh yes—“ He paused and backed up, the smile fading from his lips as he trailed the side of his jaw with one of his fingers. “Tsukiyomi.” He smiled at the reaction he received before once more spinning in spot, walking over to Yumino and Takehiko. He didn’t care that his back was now to the old crone. The worst she could do was hurt him a bit before he retaliated. Sure, she was strong, but did she really want to risk taking on the prince of the demons by herself. She might think she had her granddaughters support but with one word, Yumino would be on her knees, helpless as he destroyed her grandmother. His eyes trailed over Yumino, lingering on her face and her brown hair. She honestly looked just like her ancestor; her name sake. It was uncanny and brought back many memories, almost confusing him earlier that night. He knelt down in front of her and her lover boy, his smile returning. He would have looked friendly if it wasn’t for the dark glint in his unnatural eyes. “Who do we have here? Hmm?” He questioned loudly. “This one is an Oshiro, eh? Don’t look so angry boy. It’s unbecoming.” He said, knowing the boy’s name but choosing not to say it. He ruffled Takehiko’s hair just to humiliate him before turning his attention to the pretty girl who he knew quite well. Reaching out, he used one finger to pull Yumino’s chin up and he stared directly into her blue eyes. She was lovely but he couldn’t show that now, he couldn’t tell her that now. Surly she thought him a beast just as her grandmother did. “There is no doubt in my mind that you are Tsukiyo Yumino.” He said, leaving his words empty and without magic. She should know by now that he had no intention of revealing her secret. That wasn’t what he was here for. His eyes softened but for a mere moment before he hid his emotions even from himself “You look just like her, you know. More than even your old granny behind me.” He said and then stood, letting his finger slide out from under her chin. He went back to the middle of the stage, standing by the old Yumino. “Now I know I am interrupting some little gathering that your kind seems to find so enjoyable but--”August looked about at the different faces on the other side of his circle. There were many mixtures of emotions, especially from the front row. Most were full of rage and fear but a few held a quiet curiosity that they just couldn’t seem to hide. “It shouldn’t be long before you can resume whatever important issues you had to speak about.” He was obviously mocking them, not believing that there were such issues, however, he knew very well that there were those in this room planning a war against his kind. In honesty that was why he was here. “So to let you get on your way, I will get straight to the point.” He turned to face the Tsukiyo head and walked up to her, his posture straight and hands behind his back in a business man-like fashion. “Give me my book back. And I will only say this once. Please.”
The Tsukiyo watched August’s display of mock hurt and wanted to sever his head from his shoulders to keep further poison from spilling from the creatures lips. It showed in her eyes that locked on his, glowing with a flame of fury as he approached her. The gleam in his eyes was familiar, reminiscent of her childhood when she had faced the demon before…His words spiked a deeper anger in her one that responded to the pride she felt in her name that had nothing to do with him any longer. He was nothing more than a smudge on their pristine, one that would soon be erased. She narrowed his eyes when he asked to be called by his ‘name’ Tsukiyomi and she heard the collective gasp and murmur go over the room. None expected to have an old demon god show up here on this night…it was like a slap in the face to the power the Tsukiyo claimed. She wouldn’t stand for it. The sting of fresh shock and anxiety rolled over the audience, except for a select few, one such being Katsuo who sat on the edge of his seat. He watched the demon moving along the stage like it owned the place, regal almost with a power that could be sensed by just looking at the field around it. It drew an interest out of Katsuo that showed in the slight smile that graced his lips. So this was the demon that his ancestors stole their power from? The ancient being that held more power than sin…What he could do with a magic like that? It even brought their fearless leader to shame…Haruka’s fear beside him only fed the hunger he had for the power those demons held. He actually admired the idea that the demon was confident enough to present itself like this infront of multiple coven, knowing no doubt that war was coming. That spoke volumes of its ability and power. This one would be his eventually—its magic drained away to be used for Katsuo’s own gain. Perhaps he could have a little fun and make the beast kneel like he was able to force the Oshiro brat into doing. Wouldn’t this be a fun little game? Yumino looked to August as he approached her, her hands defensively gripping Hiko’s arm as she stared at him. So August was…the god her family had worshipped? Tsukiyomi, the one from the stories and the statues. How could that be? Was August really that old? And why would he not tell her this? The realization hit her hard, holding her in place as he taunted her grandmother and the others. She felt the fear of the darkness in his eyes, the pain that was still fresh from his betrayal of her trust and the anger from the confusion she felt trying to decipher just what would happen. How dare he come here like this and terrorize her family—what did he have to gain out of this? Perhaps as some form of justice he was there to tell on her, that a Tsukiyo was only accepted again because of the power he aided her with…That the very great granddaughter of the ancestor she was named for, fell prey to him, was now even owned by him. The fear of exposure showed in her eyes, despite the resilience her expression showed against his advances. Surely August wasn’t that petty…Then again, it seemed she knew nothing about him at all… “Filth…” Hiko growled as August taunted him, trying but failing to move to put distance between the creature and Yumino. She didn’t move, in fact she let August touch her chin, her eyes not leaving his as he stated the obvious on who she was. What did he mean by that? Surely he couldn’t tell her name just by her looks alone. Was he even paying attention to how she looked? She felt her heart stop a moment when as quick as a flicker, his expression softened. She almost felt she imagined it, that is if for a moment it hadn’t tugged at something inside of her that felt something for him, even if she wasn’t sure what that something was anymore… When told she looked like her ancestor, pieces clicked into place that made her foolish thoughts of soft feeling towards her fade. He had only been remiscing, perhaps reminding himself that she looked like her ancestor that betrayed him all those years ago. Unable to stand the vice like feeling squeezing her heart, she let her head fall to her chest in slight defeat, wanting for this all to be over and for August to be gone from here. Instead it seemed he was after something, a book that he thought they had of his. Yumino glanced up and saw her Grandmother had stiffened, her eyes locked on August in a show of resolve. A book? Was that all he really wanted in all this? “The book belongs to my ancestor, Tsukiyomi…Why would I give it to you?” She said being point blank in the fact that she had no intention in parting with the text. It was a powerful spell book that even contained his true name in it. It could be very valuable in this war and she wasn’t willing to let him just waltz in there and demand it like he was entitled to it.
