At the reminder that Eli had been close to the man who working with the elder, she gave a nod. She could inquire about the boy when she was forced to seperate from Luca. She took the kiss in stride and kissed the word back, knowing he was trying trying keep himself in control. After thw phone conversation She huffed but heard Luca ask about Viatas. She shook her head,"No, his girlfriend passed away in surgery, per the hospital notice." She stated glancing at a few texts she missed. "I'll handle it, and try to put V back together- if not, know you can count on me to help- as current head of the House it seems." She stated softly looking mildly annoyed to have to be thrown into the position. Her eyes moved to Lupin as he came out and looked as well as expected but he looked off as well. "Lupin? You okay?" She asked him softly, hoping not to startle the boy. •°~~~°••°~~~°••°~~~°• Evo sat groggy at the isle in the kitchen in Eli's old apartment, a cup of coffee in hand as he attempted to wake up a bit more. His soul energy still trying to recuperate but he had enough to be out of bed- barely. Hersa was working on the body again, Lilith resting. Lilura was due to check in later today, he appreciated that about the woman, so much like Sarah had been in her doting. Well from what he had seen with the children anyhow- the woman never doted on him, she was more likely to throw a spell at him then coddle him. But that was their relationship, sibling like almost- he never minded he rather liked Sarah- with her gone Lilura was a good reminder.

((Sorry I can't remember if Luca knew V's girlfriend died. I didn't think so from what I read since it happened during the dinner))
Luca's brows furrowed when he heard that V's ailing girlfriend died. He remembered Fey telling him that she was a human and he knew their kind were fragile. Feyra was different but she was also raised as a trained killer for her position. "That's terrible...I'm so sorry for his loss. Do you need to go comfort him?" He asked as he thought of what he would do if Feyra ever died. Honestly, no one would be safe and he would be sure the world paid for taking her from him. He didn't have time to dwell on it before she pointed out Lupin approaching. His eyes went to his brother, noting his shaking hands, his elevated pulse, and the stink of shame and fear wafting off of him. This wasn't good at all. He noted that Lupin seemed to be looking through Feyra when he looked in her direction, his brows knitted in sadness. "They...They told dad that Remus is...He's not waking up. They think the poison did a number on his brain and he seized during surgery..." He couldn't seem to snap out of the state he was in and Luca knew then what he meant. Their uncle, the Hunt Alpha, was dying, if not already dead. Luca moved some, placing Feyra beside him with a reassuring touch that he would be back. With a clear space, he pulled his brother into a hug. Lupin dissolved into tears and Luca tried to hold him as the younger man cried. "It's my fault. All my fault. I could have--I should have done something--" Lupin choked and Luca quickly gave his brother a harder squeeze. "This isn't your fault, Lupin. You couldn't have known this was happening and there were too many of them to--" He couldn't continue as Lupin shoved him away, anger and fear flashing through his face. "Don't Lucais--" Lupin shrugged off his touch and rushed off, unable to help that a fuzzy pair of ears were poking through his dark hair. Luca stood in silence, his mind grasping for what could have been going on. Hell, he was currently reeling from the news and the new thing on their plate. With Remus dead, that made Lupin Alpha. That is if the others didn't demand his father become Alpha or perhaps Avery...Lupin was just a child, clearly, and couldn't handle command. Already he couldn't handle death, let alone the strongest pack to lead and shape for the future. He hated to admit it...but his brother couldn't be Alpha. The realization hurt, but Luca could only let his shoulders sag as his father emerged. Romulus, though pale and haggard, came over to Luca and placed a firm hand on his shoulder. Luca put a hand over his father's, not looking up as the tears came to his face. "Lupin told you?" Luca nodded as his father spoke before the man sighed. Knowing his son was hurting and unable to really process much, he looked instead to his daughter-in-law who was upset of course, but the more emotionally reserved of the pair from years of training. "Can you take Luca home? I need to handle things here and go find Lupin." Romulus asked, sparing Feyra a softer look. "You...You really helped save our asses back there. Thank you..." ~~~~ Lilura made her way up the stairwell, puffing and breathing heavily as she got to the top landing. She had been sprinting down back alleys the past mile after her eventful exit from work. A pair of masked individuals trashed her office looking for her, leaving Korro to deal with them. What was worse, they had killed or incapacitated a few cops at the station. The thought made her stomach turn, but at least she was alive. It was probably her father sending these people after her to help that...thing in Elijah's body. She entered the apartment after dealing with the wards, catching a glimpse of Evo on the counter. "You'll never guess what happened today. Two asshats trashed my office and tried to kidnap me. I avoided them because I think that charm of yours is masking me..." She stated as she set her things down on the counter, including take out for the witch. As she turned, she observed his face. While still admittedly attractive, the man looked exhausted, no doubt from the spells. The highly illegal siphon spell he was using to save her brother. She tisked and went over to him her hands radiating some with a healing spell. "You need to take care of yourself." She said as she reached out and touched his arm, the touch feather light but enough to remind her of who he was. Evo was important to her brother and someone he would want cared for. This was his lover...The thought of the two in that sense dredged up the memories she had seen through Elijah's memories. When the sordid ones came to the surface, she felt the thrill go through her that her brother must have felt and the rush of pleasure that made her weak in the knees. Her magic was connecting to something residual of her brother's soul from earlier when she used her powers to track him and all those memories felt so real and actualized like they were her own. It was wrong of her, but her mind couldn't really separate out real and fake anymore--She quickly shook her head and jerked away, eyes averting and face redder than before. She wouldn't dare make eye contact with the man, afraid of what else that might dredge up. "Elijah will be pissed if you kill yourself trying to help him." She scolded as she turned to begin pulling out the take out.

When asked if she needed to go comfort V, she softly shook her head since she understood it would be difficult to comfort someone that just lost their lover... she knew she would be inconsolable if she lost Luca. When Lupin began, shakily explaining what was going on and having him so off, her face fell- obviously shocked to hear that the rather bossy alpha she didn't mind so much after getting to know him wasn't in a good place. Luca moved her to the seat next to him, understanding he needed to comfort him brother, she would be fine. She let the boys have their moment, her eyes going to the doors that Lupin had come out of, more wondering if she could see the alpha, but knew she was the last person that had that right at the moment, the family and pack had that right first she reckoned. Freya's eyes snapped back to thw boys when Lupin got emotional and showed Luca- her instinct telling her to react but knew better since it was family and there was no actual threat. When the boy rushed off- she caught sight of his ears on his messy hair, knowing he was very emotional. As Luca stood in since his eyes on where his brother rushed off to she was quiet as she watched him. Her eyes moved to Rhomulus as he emerged from the back doors, looking tired and exhausted. The men exchanged a brief touch before his father looked at her. She was more composed then most would have been but it was all her training. When he asked her to take her husband home, she gave a soft nod but paused at the thanks. "I was glad to be there, no thanks needed- I would do anything to help family." She stated softly. She moved a fraction and took Lucas' hand softly, giving it a small reassuring squeeze. "So you know- Viatas has as good as stepped down from leading- if you need anything from the House of White- call me, I'm the interim Head of House. And Rhomulus- I'm truly sorry for your loss. For all that Remus was- he was a good wolf who wanted what was best for his family." She stated softly with a smile that was gentle. Shw did coax Luca out of the room and back home- her phone ringing occasionally, getting clipped answers from her before she hung up on whom ever it was. She was busy with her husband after all- even if she did get to wear the new big hat. •°~~~°••°~~~°••°~~~°• When Lilura came in looking mildly winded, he rose a brow at her rhetorical question. At the news that there had been an attempted kidnapping, he shook his head. "Well, we know the idiots responsible. That part of the reason I don't do cults- most the followers are complete idiots." He joked a bit sarcastically. When she got closer to him with a healing spell on her hands he allowed it, feeling much too tired to fight getting help. Hersa was coiled there on the counter by his coffee cup, watching Lilura. "Glad your okay dear. Yes the charm doubles as a masking spell." She stated smoothtly. He noticed she was in her own head, watching her cheeks get pink as she touched his arm lightly, making hik want to tease the woman but abstained. "He would only be pissed cause I didn't tell him first, or leave him my books." He joked bur left it be since really he was tired. "And I am trying- splitting ones soul is exhausting ans it takes a long time for soul energy to recharge without the use of siphon spells-as I'm not doing since it would kill quite a few people and that's not something you approve of, so I'm doing it the hard way." He stated with a sly like smirk since he knew Sarah would have nagged at him about being an ass and for killing others for himself. The food looked good, easily taking his portion and taking a bit. "Besides the little witch knows I would bend over backwards for him, he should know that by now...besides- life had only really been worth while these last centuries with him around." He states softly- admitting that he didn't really want to live on with out Eli in his life, saying it would be dull.

They always said bad things come in threes and the city felt the truth of that statement in every walk of life. First, the witches made their proclamation that they would sever themselves from the alliance formed between human, vampire, and werewolf. They were following a new creed, one that would ensure supernatural supremacy that they had been denied too long. Witches that refused to join the new crusade of Grand Witch Pendragon, were labeled as traitors. Already there had been several skirmishes that month with members of packs and vampire houses. Next, the human leaders began to mount defenses to protect their citizens as humans began getting caught in the cross fire. They knew they had little hold on the situation and puffed their chests to have a good show of strength, but most understood they would lose a new war if they didn’t have the witches to protect them. It didn’t help that the undead leader of this strange faction decided to speak before the human leaders at a peace rally being held. With her demon Surro proudly at her back, the undead thing guiseing itself inside Elijah’s body spoke of how it wished for peace itself. It wished for a unity between supernaturals to take their rightful place as rulers of the earth, all under her rule that is. With Othello Everleigh at her side and Arthur Pendragon, it appeared to the city as if she had more allies than foes. It was enough to stir people into talking and some to discuss the possibility of submitting to her will. And third, the death of Rhemus Hunt was a loss that began dividing the pack, putting wolf society at the brink as the strongest ruling pack had members at each other’s throats. Luca hadn’t slept a wink the past month, unable to sleep even in the time that he had to himself. His wife was off dealing with the House of White fighting off attackers and dealing with insurrections and dissent within her own walls, leaving him to feel guilty on the nights he wished to see her and hold her to quell his own fears and anxieties at home. Lupin had grown distant and angry after Rhemus passed. When he wasn’t arguing with Luca or turning to the pack leaders loyal to his claim for the position of Alpha of the Hunt pack, he was sullen and withdrawn. Luca understood his brother was hurt that Luca wouldn’t side with him, but to shun him completely felt insane. And sadly his father was caught in the middle of it all. While both believed Embry Falk should have the position of Alpha, the position he trained for and was blatantly doted upon by Rhemus long ago as a young pup, he couldn’t turn his back on his son. Even today, as the packs met on common ground to discuss their future, his father stood by Lupin, across from Luca who took his place by Embry. The common ground was a place in the city, a park in the heart with no ties to a pack but was open and green enough to be a safe space. They couldn’t have packs starting a fight with tensions already this high. Luca faced his brother with his head held high, but his body tense as he held Feyra’s hand in a death grip. He asked her to be there for his own support in case things got hairy in more ways than one. But already he regretted the decision as now he was on high alert with every growl and glare passed in her direction. He looked ready to break the wolf that dared took a step in her direction, only barely contained by the fact he had her hand in his. As Alpha Bardolf took his place by Lupin, Luca felt his stomach knot a bit. Lupin had Amara and Bardolf packs on his side and Embry had only half of the Hunt and the Falk pack supporting him. Already, they were outnumbered, even if wolves didn’t solve leadership disputes by fighting each other. No, only the Alphas would fight, meaning Lupin might be goaded by Bardolf to fight Embry. Luca didn’t need a crystal ball to know that fight would end in Lupin’s death and he hoped to avoid it at all costs. But that hope seemed difficult to expect when Bardolf gave an obnoxious clearing of his throat. “We are here today to cement the future Aloha of the Hunt pack. It is clear, as Rhemus’s final proclamation, that Lupin is our rightful leader. Not only does he have the pedigree but he is also had Rhemus’s full support.” Wolves behind Lupin’s camp grunted and made noises of agreement, leaving Embry to growl low under his breath. “Yet I am the one with the proper skills and was his choice for leadership since I was old enough to walk. Tell me how a pup with no training or standing in his pack, untested by hardship or leadership burdens should be given the title of the most powerful wolf in our city?” The wolves behind Embry gave noises of aggression and agreement, but Luca put a hand on Embry’s shoulder, moving forward a bit to the point he had to release Feyra’s hand. “People listen. We are at the bring of war here with the witches and vampires that betrayed the House of White. We can’t be divided like this nor can we allow Rhemus’s judgement at his final hours to erase our better judgement. I loved my uncle and my pack, but I cannot deny Embry the role he was promised, not when we need a skilled leader at this time.” Luca tried to say, getting a scoff from Lupin. “And I’m not skilled Luca? I’ve been raised by Rhemus and I’ve been in the Hunt pack longer than you have been on our land. You cannot pretend to know what’s best for my people.” Lupin sneered, making Luca’s brows knit at his pointed way of saying ‘’my people’. “Our people are all of our responsibility. I’m the future Enforcer and it’s my job to protect us Lupin—everyone! I’m not saying you don’t care or want to do the same Lupin, but you must know that this fight is pointless! We need to be turning our attention to that thing that killed our family members and our past Alpha!” “Future enforcer? Luca, you didn’t give a shit about that title years ago. Not until you got with Feyra and started letting her whisper in your ear. You didn’t even want to be a Hunt! Now, when it’s convenient for your wife to have more power, you suddenly give a hell! Your mother was a vampire killer and now you’re in bed with them. What sense does that make?! How do I know you’re judgement isn’t flawed by the leeches?” The comments about his family and his wife riled Luca up, enough so that he stalked a little closer. However, his father got between them, putting a hand firmly on Luca and an arm to brace Lupin from coming forward anymore. “Boys! This isn’t the time to point fingers. We need to resolve this rift between us all and focus on the real issue—“ Rhomulus stated but quickly was losing control of the crowds that were already shouting and snarling at one another. He let out a roaring bark that eventually quieted the majority, but Bardolf soon approached and shoved Rhomulus off Lupin. “Our priority is ensuring our traditions and ways are not tossed into the mud just because the world around us has gone mad. I refuse to throw my pack into chaos to suit your pacifism!” Bardolf snarled, drawing a dissent from Embry’s corner but cheers from his own. It was clear to Luca that they weren’t listening, his own hurt and frustration at the situation driving him closer and closer to his tipping point.

Evo was watching the news looking very annoyed as the grand idiot proclaimed all who didn't follow his new idea were traitors...what was so new about this? A cult that was around a good while under a few different names at that. Having dealt with cults a while he pursed his lips as he glanced at the officer- well Sarah's daughter. She had been so stressed with her job he made her take a break and call in sick. She was wearing herself so thin it was going to be impossible for her to function if she continued. Kurro, her demon he had come to find had tall tales about Hersa who seemed amused about them. "Listen to this mess, might as well be a Den of traitors now. Stupid idiot has no idea what he's involved with, or he does and feels trapped perhaps?" Be tried to voice his idea on the tv, getting Hersa to respond. "He knows that beast killed his daughter yet I have a feeling that was to get his obedience." She stated with a hiss at the TV, nor pleased with it. Evo's eyed did stray to the undead thing parading around in his lovers body, a grimace forming on his face, still not taking that as anything other then personal. •°~~~°••°~~~°••°~~~°• The House of White in the beginning was on board with the change in power, Vistas obviously at the head of this change- shocking a lot of houses. He spoke with the Everliegh often and kept those on his own house away from him. When asked by a human reporter about how he felt on things he blamed everything on the brotherhood and spouted nonsense about how this was the change they needed to end war. However this didn't last long... with in a few weeks the house decided they did not wish this and held a meeting, more to oust Viatas from his seat. Without getting a say Feyra was nominated as shw was a rock in this mess as she always had been for the house. •°~°• Feyra knocked on the door, hoping to get a response but she got silence. She was hoping to check in on V today. They had decided hw was to be 'retired' and kept in his wing for saftey reasons. She opened the door slowly, letting a little light in to see the man was laying in the middle of his floor, staring at something in his hands, looking completly spaced out. She sighed, putting the blood on the tray on the table by the door. She watched him a moment longer before she had to leave, hearing shifting impatient feet in the hall behind her. She had a press conference over thw change and no doubt this support mess then she had to go see her husband. As his new job- he requested her there to not only keep him grounded but as she was part of the Hunt pack. The maid fussed over her outfit, she easily swatted her hands off and wore the hybrid outfit she preferred as the new head of house, not the heavy robes. Her armor was still her go to honestly, much to then elders' annoyance but allowed it. The conference was at thw beginning of the evening, the sun not fully Even down yet, making her annoyed. 'House full of nasty back biting humans.' She grumbled as Sarah gave her a smile and a pat on the shoulder as she was ready. Heading out to her seat she saw quite a few house staff along the walls wanting to hear what she had to say in all this. She wasn't nervous, but she wasn't calm, more annoyed then anything, but she was good at covering that up with a smile. "Lady white! Oh lady white?!" Called quite a few reporters. She nodded to one who was semi close by, they stood- a human female from the paper Luca used to work for. "Lady white, what happened tk the previous lord? Was there another murder? Rebellion?" She asked more to stir the pot. Feyra frowned," He judged unfit to rule the house, he was removed and confident for his own saftey. Next question." After a few more dumb questions some one finally asked the support question. "Lady white, do you support this new group that has erupted and is gaining support?" A man asked getting a sigh from her. "As the head of the House of White it is my responsibility to do what is best for my family and those that are under our banner. We do not support that murderous creature, we will never support it. All those that do will not find an ally in my house." She stated firmly getting the many staff members she did see, nod in approval. She stood then and left wanting to get changed unto something with more armor on it, cause she just had a very bad feeling about today... •°~~~°••°~~~°••°~~~°• Freya showered up at Luca's apartment seeing it was a mess but she could love with that, finding her husband a mess himself but on the phone even this early finalizing plans with Embry it seemed. She made him shower and eat something as they left, giving him ample cuddled in the car, knowing the man was stressed and needed to get his mind together for this fight. She would support him in anything he wishes and was willing to shed blood for it today. As they stood across from her father and brother in law, she gave rhomulus a tired smile and a wave. Having no issue with the man. She did look at Lupin but he ignored her. She expected as much but left it be. She patted Luca's hand lightly to let him know she was there, even if her fingers were starting to hurt from the pressure. She knew she wasn't the most welcome sight to somw wolves stoll but she did her best to do right, as she has and protected her family. Feyra's eyes went to the wolf she helped save that stood next to Lupin. She didn't care for the man but did expect something for saving his life. As the bickering began, she stayed by Luca and Embry, appearing calm as she watched for some one to hurt her husband. He moved forward to speak, bring up her own issues- as she felt he probably shouldn't have but left it be as it was too late now. Her eyes did shift to Lupin as she pointed a finger at her, making her seem like she was using Luca. Did he not know better then that? All they had been through would have broken anyone else. Feyra moved forward to collect her husband, more to remove him from the space so close to the idiots who would be hit first. "No need to fuel a fire Bardolf. As you support your tradition, Luca is supporting who he feels is right and will be who is best during this time of war. And I do remeber you being a lot more grateful when I pulled your ass out of that burning building from the clutches of a demon and the undead." She added to the wolf since honestly that irked her a little. She pulled Luca back a little since she worried for him. •°~~~°••°~~~°••°~~~°•

Lilura looked at the TV from her place on the couch near Evo, trying but failing not to look stressed out of her mind. Even on her day off she was caught up in this shit storm. As the news circulated the Grand Witch recent teleconference and statement to the witches of the city, Lilura was left with a sinking feeling in her gut. She always followed the rules, always wanted to be a 'good witch' and yet now, for doing the right thing, she was yet again labeled a 'bad witch'. Her father and people like him got to destroy a city and murder her brother and yet her and Evo were the villains and any witch that opposed them. It made her blood boil, enough so she could only scoff as Evo confirmed her thoughts. "It seems dear old dad's cult is making the rounds. That thing has its claws in quite a few people...what's left of Blackwater, Imperie, Everleigh, the outcast wolves, and now the Grand Witch...And no one has any idea what the hell it is." She growled as she set aside the tea that was supposed to make her calm. Instead, she was gritting her teeth in annoyance at how she was still at square one. All her hours of research, interviewing, looking for any thread of what exactly this thing that held Elijah was came up blank. It wasn't a demon, or so Hersa confirmed, but it wasn't a witch as witches were mortal and couldn't rightly possess people. Vampires couldn't do that, but the eerie golden eyes were reminiscent of the House of White...Just what were they up against? Either way, stopping that thing wasn't something they could do alone and they ran the risk of her father getting annoying and hurting the siphon with Elijah's soul. Speaking of Elijah, she looked over at Evo, noting his discomfort at seeing the thing milling about as her brother. It made Lilura reach out to him to pat his arm awkwardly. "We'll get him back...We just need to find someone on the inside that can get us to Erasmus...My father seems vain from what you told me and would keep it on him. We can get the Siphon with Elijah's soul *if* we can get to him." She was trying to be comforting but it failed when a boom like thunder echoed through the city streets. It ruffled Kurro whose feathers scattered as he perched over Lilura's shoulders to protect her. "What the hell-?!" She huffed as he eyes went to the window to see all the flashing lights.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bardolf gave Feyra a severe, but not standoffish look. Clearly, something in his opinion of the woman had changed. "Your help was appreciated but it doesn't change the facts or situation. My living is all the more reason to fight for our well-being. The witches are tearing themselves apart, vampires are attacking our people relentlessly, the Brotherhood of Light are slaughtering people on both sides and rallying humans against us, and that thing that attacked and murdered my people is lording around the city with a witch *you two* consorted with. If I must produce smoke to get our people to realize there is a fire and it will consume us, I will." He snarled and Luca let out a growl that showed he wasn't okay with the wolf's tone. "Alpha Remus was our leader and we swore to follow him. He named Lupin our successor. He tried to follow your line of reasoning and it got him poisoned and a war started with us still at the bottom rung of this fight. Therefore, fuck what your pet thinks is right. And fuck you Embry Falk for dividing us at a time like this." Bardolf spat, but Embry only gave his chin a raise in defiance. "If your mind is made up then go, Bardolf. But don't expect the Falk pack to be there when the vampires and witches pick you fools apart. The Falk pack rescinds from the Hunt pack and will charter its own protection with those that wish to join our protection and effort to end this war before we all end up slaughtered. We stand with the House of White and any witches that support our cause...the rest of you are no better than traitors..." Embry's threat sealed the divide, making the wolves bristle again despite Rhomulus's efforts to quell it. The escalating arguements made Luca wince, his eyes going then to Lupin with a pleading look. "Lupin, please. You can't be serious--" Luca tried to reason but Lupin only gave him a narrowed eyed look. "I am, Luca. I'm doing what is best for all of us. Saving our people...And if you and Feyra can't see that then...Then I can't protect you from the inevitable." Luca made a face, not understanding what his brother was getting at. Rhomulus's arm slipped from Lupin as he ducked under it, grabbing Luca by the shirt collar. Instead of rage, Luca saw genuine fear in his eyes. "Stop this now, Luca...Join me and I can make sure it doesn't kill you. I've seen what this thing can do. What it did to Izzy. Sticking with Embry and Feyra will just get you killed. It wants power and it will destroy anything in its path to get it...Join me, before it's too late..." He almost pleaded softly to Luca, making Luca's brow knit as he pulled away gently. "Lupin...I can't. What are you even talking about?" Luca's questions fell on deaf ears as Lupin's expression hardened and his hand went to his pocket. He withdrew a small amulet, one that Luca had seen Eli wearing once as a small earing. A transport stone? Lupin opened his hand and the small amulet glowed, rising with an unknown power as it lifted from his grasp. Thunder and a strike light lightning split the air, wind whipping around them as another strike of odd lightning struck a nearby tree. From the smoke emerged the Elijah look alike, flanked by a demon and a few vampires and witches. Luca's eyes widened at the thing pretending to be his friend as a mysterious otherworldly wind carried his hair and caused his eyes to take on this unnatural golden color, much like Fey's were. "Took you long enough, Lupin dear." It stated as his eyes then flicked to the divided group with a very Elijah pout to the lips. "Hm, but we're still bickering like children I see. Of course, why trust a lackey to do what only the master can." A hand rose, one of those bolts striking the hand and coalescing into a raw bright light energy. "Bend the knee to your new Alpha, Lupin Hunt or I'll kill every last one of you and make you submit anyways. Just a little less willing..." It grinned allowing the currently stunned Bardolf a moment to look at Lupin. "Lu-Lupin. What?" He asked as Lupin stared unmovingly at the creature there. "It's our only way to win this war. The only way to save our people." He stated coldly, calmly, even if Luca could hear the tremble in his voice. Luca quickly got before Embry and Feyra, his hackles raised as he went on the defensive. However, Lupin ignored his brother and approached the creature, looking much like he was a prisoner accepting the gallows. "Chin up, pet. I keep my promises. If they bend the knee I won't harm a hair on their heads." It stated sweetly to him, however, Rhomulus wouldn't stay in place. "Lupin. Get away from that thing." He barked and tried to reach for his son but the creature acted faster. It cast the bolt towards Rhomulus, who took it to the arm and dropped into a convulsing heap. Lupin was clearly rattled, shouting and moving to drop toward his father when he was suddenly grabbed by a vampire that was currently in Everleigh spy gear. He fought against the grip but was held in place as instead Bardolf actually dropped towards Rhomulus. He was shaking as he checked the wolf who seemed alive but out of it and in serious pain. "Fuck you!" Luca shouted, but looked torn about leaving his Alpha and wife or going for his father. It gave a chuckle at how feisty Luca was being. "Hm I think I'll change your mind pet...That's one 'maybe' and one 'yes'. Can I get some more willing participants?" It called out as Surro moved just behind its shoulder. The large demon reached a hand out in beckoning motion and a few ear splitting screech like howls could be heard in the distance. The same undead ones that fought Bardolf's pack before.
Evo glanced at Libura when she stated the obvious. "Just wait, those who are patient have an opportunity later from actions. I've asked Hersa to look into that beast. I want it dear and want Eli's soul back. The body is fully prepared- we just need the soul." He stated a but if a frown on his handsome face. This was stressful for him. "You need a new soul siphon my child, we should attend to that, or you'll get wrinkles." She teased the witch who just gave her a tired look. "I don't think Eli would mind for now, I'm feeling a little down right now Heraa Love, I'll attend to it soon though love." He stated getting a small tongue flicker of understanding from the snake. As Lilura tried to be comforting he gave a brief nod before speaking, sounding much more confident to talk about her stupid father. "Your supermarket donor is an idiot as much as he is vain however he did pull one over on me with that demons' help." He said sounding annoyed. "Not his demon however." Hersa stated to make it obvious if it had been, they would have killed the idiot already. "He is book smart, knows a lot of old fashioned spells, he always liked flashy rituals, time consuming and painful. I've taught your brother Smooth spells, that don't require a blood sacrifice, better ways of producing results faster, your father is just blinded by himself. He isn't the first cult I've dealt with. My own father, lead a cult similar, I didn't even bother to learn what they worshiped. He and my mother were obsessed, my father just as vain- tried to kill me. Didn't work- I finally got my beautiful Hersa and offered everyone's soul in that cult to her. My stupid mother brought my father back to kill me, feeling pissed that I beat them all as a young man. However back then, that had been before the Salem witch trials, stupid humans.- No old man jokes please." He stated as he explained some of his own past to the girl, feeling she would understand his experience better here if he explained. "I killed him again, and my mother- Hersa enjoyed herself. " He explained not wanting to go into details on how he beat them first...the lightning strike made him rise a brow at the sudden weather change. The sound was reminiscent of a spell, but he just frowned at it, figuring it was more idiots... •°~~~°••°~~~°••°~~~°• As the other Alpha spoke about the witch that Luca was once friends with she pursed her lips. She wanted to defend the facts but Luca was loosing his temper, all over a tone. When he called her a pet, she got a catty look, lookingnmkre ready to handle the wolf herself but restrained herself. When Embry stated he stood with her own house she gave him a firm nod since she would do what she could to help. She watched Lupin and Luca talk a brief second before there was magic used? A transport stone she had seen before. As thw creature shw detested appeared he frowned, when she spoke of submission however she let out a growl, her teeth showing in her temper. Shw watched Luca get defensive and she did the same, knowing Embry was important. She did however listen to what was said. As it progressed her temper faded and honestly she gave Lupin a softer look of worry before moving forward to touch Luca's shoulder. "We need to leave, now." She stated getting her point across as the smell of thw undead was brought to her senses. "I'll grab dad, you get Embry out." She stated very firmly to him, the pressure on his shoulder more then it probably needed to be. She moved forward quickly and glared at the Everliegh idiot, glaring and gave a flash kf her teeth. "Unhand my father kn law before I rip out your throat toad." She stated firmly her pheromones going crazy with her temper. Of course the vampire didn't move or make any words for her. She engaged him, swiftly and after a few seconds in the chaos she got Rhomulus out of their clutches, hauling him up, the best she could, and got out of there with the large wolf...she was glad Luca listened, but it was stressful enough. Now she had blood on her face, her robe probably ruined. She made it with another wolf's help to where they decided would be a better place to meet up at, closer to the house of White of course since she was sure she could protect them there, and if her father needed medical she could have access. •°~~~°••°~~~°••°•••°•
Lilura heard Evo’s story and gave the man a shocked look. This thing…they had been worshipping it for years. His father before him tried to give him to the creature as a sacrifice as well? No wonder Eli saw in him a kindred spirit, one he sought out like a beacon in his darkness. And it clearly showed Evo himself was a man of multiple layers, one’s that surprised Lilura. She once thought him a heartless mastermind. A cruel witch that dabbled in illegal spelling and murder for fun. While other’s painted his soul as dark as night, she instead found an uncomfortable grey…Like Elijah…Lolita’s face fell and she nodded, her brows knitting some in effort to understand. “Then if it’s this old…no offense…and no one succeeded in killing it before…how the fuck are we going to kill it?” She asked just before the boom hit. She ran to the window, seeing in the distance odd electrical energy gathering over the park. Someone was casting powerful spells and that to Lilura spelled the cult. “Evo we should go. No doubt Erasmus is there and we can get Eli.” She stated, going for the door and looking perturbed the witch didn’t follow. Before she could open it, Korro was in front of her caring and batting his wings in her face. “No! Go out there and you are dead. That cult wants you and if you die all of this work for Eli is wasted. I don’t like wasting my time or cutting my contracts.” He hissed in her mind, making the woman flare back at him. “I will not hide while some bitch in a skin suit kills people in my city! I have a duty to—“ “Remain alive!” Lilith stated nearby and padded over to the pair. With a gesture of her paw, the wards tightened on the door, a fiery symbol carving itself on the wood of the door. “Open that door without my permission and you’ll be blown to bits. You will wait. And we will plan properly. The moment you leave this apartment, Evo, Hersa, Korro, and I will have to protect your ass from being taken. I will not let that undead witch get away with killing another Blake.” Lilith’s barked threat left Lilura to let out an annoyed rage filled growl before she turned and stalked back to the window, looking angry that she wasn’t allowed to go help. “You serve some purpose to what that bitch wants. I won’t give it to her or your father…It must die with Erasmus.” Lily stated before looking to Hersa who she knew was exhausted from spelling with Evo to help Elijah’s new host. ~~~~ Luca heard Fey’s order and while part of him wanted to stay and fight, the sanity in him knew that was a losing fight. He nodded and snarled a very animalistic growl as Eudora stared the group down, the wolves in the area growing uneasy. While not the entirety of the pack, most of their warriors were present to protect the Alpha candidates. The wolves were going to defend these men until their last breath, but it was clear all were shaken by seeing one of their future leaders standing with this creature. A murmur went over the group that seemed to be unsure of whether to submit or fight, but most looked wholly terrified of the thing there lording power over them. The show of harming Rhomulus was enough to make Bardolf crumple and a few others to hesitantly step towards the creature. However, Feyra’s quick action and the smell of the murdered vampire’s blood was like someone pulling a fire alarm. Snarls and shout filled area as wolves sprang to either run or fight, some frozen in place as if unsure of where to go. The quick start of violence and the engaging of wolves with Eudora’s forces distracted the creature enough that Feyra was able to grab Rhomulus and start dragging him back. Luca personally swore under his breath and quickly grabbed Embry, hauling him back with the force of a wolf twice his size. “Luca—what?! We can’t leave our people—“ Embry’s snarled response earned him a glare from Luca. “It wants us to fight and kill each other. I’ve seen it raise the dead. I’d rather live and fight that thing so I can protect the people I love rather than end up it’s undead pack animal.” He said quickly, not releasing Embry as he jerked his head towards some of the wolves nearby. They got the hint and retreated, dragging a few others with them. “B-But Lupin—“ The sound of his brother’s name made Luca wince, his teeth elongating and his ears shifting and showing that he was struggling very hard to leave his brother. “We can’t help him now. He’s safe for now.” He told Embry bluntly before giving him another hard shove. “Let me worry about Lupin. You just think about Sylvie and the baby.” That seemed to throw Embry off a moment, but only a moment before he hardened his resolve and began to run. Luca breathed a sigh of some relief before resolving himself to escape. He knew Feyra was being helped, but he circled back around to be sure. Thankfully he found her. Unfortunately it was just in time to see Eudora turning a fiercely angered glare in her direction. “You petulant little leech!” She screeched casting a hand towards Feyra that held that same electric energy. Luca knew if it hit her it would do some damage and refused to let it happen. He ran for Feyra, shifting mid stride to move faster. The large wolf lumbered in the way of the strike, eyes glowing with a resolve and fury. However, before the volley of energy could release, the hand wielding the spell was struck with a blade. The pain and loss of focus on the spell caused it to backfire, sending Eudora flying into the treeline of the park. Luca’s eyes followed the strike line to the chaos of the fighting, finding a red headed vampire there that looked vaguely familiar. But why? She pulled down her hood, staring back at the wolf with a tense and rushed expression. “Run! Get Feyra out of here.” Her voice reminded him of his purpose and he quickly turned to lumber after Feyra, sprinting off after her scent with this vampire on his heels. By the time they reached the House of White courtyard, sirens and booms of energy were coming from the direction of the city park. Luca shifted back into his human form, allowing himself to take in all that arrived. Only a handful of their warriors remained, but the mysterious vampire woman, Feyra, Embry, and Rhomulus were present. His father still looked out of it, Luca just now seeing a strange burn on his clothing and a burn scar forming on his chest. The sight drove him to his father’s side, helping get the man into the house with the others. Erika, the red headed vampire, quickly went to Feyra and gave her a worried look. “I’m sorry I took so long. Othello had me locked in a cellar.” She stated, irritation clear in her voice. “I came as quick as I could. Have they already—?” She was cut off by an explosion nearby, one that sent dust flying into the courtyard and smoke billowing from the Lord’s suite of the House of White. ~~~~~~~ Othello and one other vampire slipped into the house of white, their training making them almost like shadows in the halls. They needed to be quick, or risked death by the Elders that prowled the halls. He sent the other vampire on his way with the distraction, a bomb meant to create enough noise and smoke to cause panic. A cover for Viatas’s exit. He found where the Lord was stowed away, picking the lock and slipping inside with precision and skill. He was an Everleigh after all. When he made it in the room, he found the man a lump on the bed, clearly distraught and not himself. Clearly the woman dying had shaken him… “Rise Lord White. I’ve come to help you out of here…my mistress has extended gift of goodwill to offer you. It waits for you in our sanctum.” He offered, extending a hand to the man to help him out of this cage.
At her questions, he let her rise to go look out the window, he didn't move still looking tired. "I never tired to kill it before. I ignored it as fake and moved on...perhaps we should have addressed that long ago Hersa love." He joked getting a snicker from the snake. When he heard Lilura wanting to go join the fray he frowned a bit more, not movinf- seeing the demons had it handled. He finally stood, going to refill his coffee. "A plan will keep us all alive and enable us to raise our own hell and kill those we wish. Belive me- a plan will be a pillar here In this mess. But don't get me wrong- If your rash actions make it so I no longer get Elijah's soul- I will kill everyone and everything in this city and many others." He stated very firmly making his point. "If you want my protection, please wait till we have a solid plan, also we will be doing reading today, I need to teach you some spells your mother gave me, in case Eli dear took after her but it seems you both did. I can give you the tool to survive and fight bur you must work with us." He tried to sooth the situation as he poured his coffee- drinking it black. Hersa gave a small motion from her spot on the counter where Evo placed her. "Lilura dear, trust us, Evo is still recovering his soul energy, he needs to do more charms work for your selves, and you need to learn more- lethal spells. Ones your mother knew and used I'm sure. Else she wouldn't have passed them to us to share with her children." She tried to explain but her voice sounded tired to the room. •°~~~°••°~~~°••°•••°• Freya heard that she was suddenly the creatures objective ans grimaced, pulling Rhomulus was a challenge, even with her strength he was big. It was a split second before she smelled Erika in all the mess, knowing she had this handled. She kept pulled Rhomulus, hearing the backfire of the spell. She did see a blonde wolf- bright blue eyes glowing in the off light, she gave him a tired smiled as they made their way to where she controlled things. She helped Rhomusus relax by a tree In the court yard, not wanting to subject him to the vampire smell till he was more awake. She had many more soilders patrolling the grounds and helping with the staff. Freya's attention went to Luca, instantly requesting robe for him since really she was territorial, even if her house thought her strange for liking a werewolf. Her eyes did move back to Erika when she explained what took so long and nodded. "I see. Thank you." She stated knowing she saved her physical harm by Luca mental harm. All eyes jerked upwards at the explosion, moving Freya into action. She was inside fore all thw dust evwn settled, finding an empty room, making her growl, and see Jeremiah was there as well seemingly smelling some one else who didn't beling- a vampire dead down the hall. He seemed to have came out of the room and right into the elder- poor misguided fool...her room was ruined but she didn't care about thay- it was the principle that they got in- only an everliegh could have. •°~~~°••°~~~°• Hearing a voice in his space his golden eyes went to then- Othello? He spoke softly but with a confidence he missed, having had very little interaction with anyone as he was deemed dangerous by his own house. "Goodwill as such to slaughter the humans that killed my June?" He questioned as he sat up from where he was currled around the sweatshirt that was at one times June's. He stood up, showing signs of stress but still looked strong. "I've been locked up- would be nice to get out for a change." He stated in a joking manner- clearly angry at something but was using his humor to deflect it till he was able to kill...
Lolita’s fury turned to Evo, the cold and collected witch standing with his coffee. The advice that felt like condescension made her initially balk at him agreeing with the demons. But one quick look from the stubborn Korro made her huff, even if her body was tense. “Fine. I can’t argue I need more spells. Surprisingly there aren’t a ton of mentors at the academies that will teach a young black practitioner lethal spells.” She said with some salt to her tone, even as she gave Evo a more rueful look. She wanted desperately to help people.:.clearly something was going wrong in the city and she was locked away here and unable to help. Hopefully, the city didn’t burn over night without her being there… “So my mother was a black practitioner? Necromancy as well?” She asked as she went to the snake on the counter. “She left you two with spells for Elijah? What kind of spells?” She leaned a little on the counter, noting that this made Korro and Lilith finally ease. ~~~~ Othello heard the explosion trigger early and gave a hiss under his breath. Seems his partner found trouble before he gave the signal. “We can discuss the logistics later, Lord White. For now, we need to make a quick exit.” He pulled Viataas towards the hall, pulling him away from the sound of the chaos as that’s where everyone was going to investigate. He slipped to a nearby hall with a window, using it as their escape point. With a quick search of his belt, he tethered off the cord he carried before pulling Viatas close and helping him down the side of the building. When boots touched ground, Othello released him and sent him in the direction of the back entrance , the one used by servants to bring in blood and other necessities. “I’ve had a pair of guards replaced at the back gate. We can slip out to the van waiting just—“ He went to finish when he heard footsteps approaching. One pair and by the smell it was a wolf. “Go! I’ll cover and catch up.” He snapped to Viataas before he turned to find Luca in a robe in the alley. He cursed under his breath, noting that the wolf seemed shocked to see Othello and thrown off just enough that he didn’t shift. “Lord Everleigh?” Luca was able to get out before the Othello took a turn and started running. Luca caught up with effort but before he could grab the man, Othello spun around and sent three very well placed hits into Luca’s weak points. One to the nose, one to the side between the lower ribs, and one to the neck. Luca fumbled back gasping and reeling from pain, unable to shift or properly get a breath. Othello gave him an apologetic frown before running for where Viataas was. The unnatural speed let him catch up easily, shoving the man into the van that waited so they could leave. “Apologies for the wait and roughness my lord. The haste of our retreat is necessary…” He muttered before motioning for the vampire driving to leave. As Othello calmed down, he passed a look toward Viataas in the seat nearby, his look softening some. “Are you being honest with your intentions? Do you truly wish death to the humans that harmed your lover?” He asked, only to clarify his own thinking on the matter… ~~~~ As Luca‘a attention flipped to the alley nearby, Emory was busy helping Rhomulus come to consciousness. The man was badly hurt, no doubt the lightning doing a number on his body. But he was breathing for now and that gave enough prompting for a human working for the house to approach with a medical kit. As the boys handled that situation, Erika hurried for the house, winding the halls until she found Feyra. “My brother was here. They are after Viataas.” She stated, eyes roving to the explosion and the dead vampire. Sad…he was a promising recruit. She ignored sentiment and went for V’s room, finding it empty. With a curse under her breath she followed a route that was plausible for escape, finding the cord attached to the window and a gasping Luca in the alley. She tisked and slipped down the cord, landing by the flailing wolf. She placed hands on him, her strength helping her lift his head so that his airway would open up. As he gulped in air, Luca’s face filled with relief before shock took over. His senses were filled with Erika’s scent, every bit of it filling him with dread. This smell…he remembered it from the day his mother died. This woman…the red hair…she was the one of the ones that took him from his mother’s corpse. Dragging him away kicking and screaming as they placed him and the other surviving children in cages. In a move that was as quick as a blink, Luca lunged at her and thankfully Erika was always primed for a fight. She dodged the werewolf, keeping out of his reach as he tried to get ahold of her. “Stop! I have no qualms with you wolf—“ Erika stated and Luca gave her a snarl in response. “You. You killed my mother—my people—“ His voice was deeper, clearly close to shifting but that pain in his side from Othello’s hit seemed to make his muscles tense strangely. It made it difficult to shift, to the point he could only throw his weight around in an attack.
At her joke about a mentor at a school for dark magic he chuckled- it striking his off humor. When she turned her attention to asking more question he put his coffee down. " Sarah was more then that. She was more of a Grey area witch. She could defend herself easily so, could heal, summon the dead, and even dare I say it do some fine charms work." He easily muttered a a small hazy patch appear that he reached into and got another book from. This one with a note to her children...this had been Sarah- something he was told to not read, or mess with but to give to her children. He hadn't thought it would ever get to her daughter bur Eli has taken when he needed from it with the help of Lilith. "This book. It's your mother's grimoure. She left you notes, her spells, some pages even have little doodles on them." He stated sounding mildly humored but hat since Eli had been. " Please, read this and look into what you wish. I am here to assist with spell practice when you feel you are ready." He stated handing her the book, looking like it hadn't aged a single day. •°~•°~•°~•°~•°• V went with Othello, feeling exillerated to be getting out...finally. He would get his revenge rather then be locked up like an animal. He was pretty sour with Feyra for that- even the elders. 'If she hadn't been wrapped up in that stupid wolf...June might have been alive now.' He thought but that thought felt strange but then again he was too angry to care. Othello was giving him freedom. Down the rope and into the back alley they went- easily sprinting off as Othello pushed him to. He heard some one behind them but didn't think he wanted to face Freya right then- feeling he might actually hurt her. He took a moment to breath but he van door but Othello seemed to have other ideas- forcing him into the back with him. He shrugged since he was free now and locked up- that was a plus, he got comfortable in a seat- trying to see where they were going. When asked if he wished death on the humans that killed his lover...his june...his son and reason for living...his face went a little dark as he fought through the emotions that struggled to escape him at the thoughts. He took a moment and nodded. " Indeed. I've been wishing them dead since that day. I will not stop at just those directly involved...Others have attributed to his through inaction and such..." He stated but he let a growl escape his lips as he seemed upset again got a moment before he replaced it with anger. " My own sister betrayed me. Stole my house, killed my lover, abandoned my child some where knowing her and her lack of care. And locked me away, spreading lies...that beast changed her." He stated sounding pissed at about everyone else from every species now- mostly just looking for an outlet for his anger and frustration. ~~~~ When Jeremiah saw Erika he gave her an odd look watching her take off, Freya however looked to the elder. " Please attend to the lady- we have an emergency happening and have humans and wolves in our court yard. I will be there shortly to brief the lady elder myself soon." She stated smoothly getting a nod from.the man since really she was a much better choice to rule the house- and it showed already. Fey went o see where Erika went next not far behind her- seeing Luca get very upset- forcing her to jump out of the window to get down quickly. “Stop! I have no qualms with you wolf—“ she heard Erika state but Luca wasn't having it. Her lover erupted into a vicious snarl that meant he had full intentions of hurting their ally. "You. You killed my mother—my people—“ she heard him say. Freya frowned and got between them. " Lulu- now is not the time love. " she stated firmly. She knew that this was soemthing that would hit him hard but they needed all the allies they could get right now. " Hey, for me- please let it be right now. You are in no condition and she is helping us. Please let's go see dad. Please lulu." She pleaded to the wolf, making a motion for Erika to give him space and do what she needed and that she had Luca handled.
