(lol that was my intention hehe let the fun begin!!!) Zach blinked when Sel suddenly pulled him back. They were just people but…then again, she was right. Wasn’t it a person that put them down in this place in the first place? His look hardened as the people approached, a couple males and two females. “My my, look the priestess was right!” One of the women said and the male next to her nodded. “Two people just appearing in the spring she created. Just as she said.” “Of course, do you doubt her abilities? After all she predicted the water going missing in the north of the island, and even that the god was angry.” “Yeah so stop arguing and get them already before the god starts demanding more sacrafices!” The two nodded and they all looked to Zach and Sel with rather uneasy glances. “So what’s it going to be foreigners? Will you come with us peacefully or will things get complicated?” They didn’t even use Yola when addressing them, just a sign of how worried and cornered these people felt. "Complicated. I don't like the sound of that."Zach said, not even realizing at this point that he'd even understood a lick of that jibberish.

Seledine's eyes narrowed as she listened to the groups words. It was obviously that they were uncomfortable with the whole situation. She was about to open her mouth to speak when she heard what Zach said. Do a bit of a double take mentally, she stored it away for later. That was interesting, could he have understood them all of a sudden? That was definitely odd wasn't it.
Taking a breath, she stepped fully in front of Zach, a look that said she wasn't going to just play around. "We didn't just appear. We were tricked into a building that had a hole in the floor." She commented, her hands on her hips. Licking her lips a bit and tasting sand, her eyes narrowed. "Now, I would very much like to see this priestess. Seldine added, her tone not angry but obviously not happy, who would be though. She didn't mention how illegal this was, not to mention that it wasn't very well hidden from people who were checking around....though that might just have been her being good at snooping.

Zach watched the people curiously as well as fearfully. They were down here in this place, with no way out unless these people showed them. Though they didn't seem comfortable with all this, Zach got a sense that they weren't worried for their own comfort. They worried for their god, the person who was suffering because of something that they wanted to fix desperately, desperately enough to sentance someone to death. "Of course. She needs to sure you are fit for the god..." One of the women said before jerking her head in the direction ahead. "She waits in a small place here, for her safety, do not get any funny ideas." "There is no escape, except out the way you came and only we know how to open it." Another said putting off the airs of an attendant to this priestess, before motioning forward, in a slightly curtious way but refusing to get closer to them. Zach had heard Emily talk about that before, if you distance yourself from something, ignore its existence and have little contact as possible, it makes doing something wrong easier. He looked to Sel, his look softening into concern and worry but not for himself.. "Do you really think...they'd sacrafice someone?" He asked her, though he got the sense they should follow, despite what might be waiting. After all just up the way was a small cavern, somewhat decorated with cloth and color, mostly to hide the person within. (if you want you can write for the priestess person. Since you know more about the intentions of the other side than I do lol)

Fit for their god? Now wasn't that a bit ironic. Seledine didn't have a god. She held her beliefs with an iron claw but she had no religion and would never have one. "I always have funny ideas. You can't stop me from thinking." She spoke with a serious but honest tone. Glancing at Zach, she nudged him with her shoulder to follow.
Making her way to the cloth covered cavern, she stopped in front, her mind whirring like a computer as she tried to comprehend all the details she had learned so far. It was a giant puzzle that she wanted to pick apart and then put together so that she could fix it.
"A child of the stars and a boy with no thoughts of his own....why do you meddle in what you should not?" An older female voice rang out strongly from the brightly colored cavern. Eye narrowing for a moment, Seledine thought that the voice sounded familiar for a moment, but it wasn't strong enough to bring any memories forward.
"I do not meddle, I fix what shouldn't have been broken in the first place. Tell me, priestess, why have you turned a peaceful people into those bloodthirsty enough to catch and feed them to your god?" She asked, her tone obviously upset with the situation but calm enough that she could get information and negotiate with the priestess. ((I had a much more BA one earlier but it got deleted. I also figured you could get some Zach time in with the whole talking thing instead of one huge post >.<))

((I hate when that happens. But nah I like this post. Eep! I'm all excited for the danger to come!)) Zach hadn't expected to actually hear a voice. To be honest he thought the people were lying and were going to just toss them in another pit. After all, he had found that saying that the old man that came to the coffee shop in New York said, something about fooling him not only once but twice making him a fool, was actually quite true. After all Zach hadfooled himself into thinking that any place he ended up wouldn't have some kind of drama going on. He looked around when he heard the voice of the woman, his brows furrowing when she mention odd titles for them. 'Child of the stars, well obviously that's Sel...but boy with no thoughts of his own...' He thought letting his his brows raise slightly. Was that suposed to mean she knew he couldn't remember anything or that he just followed whatever the heck happened in these situations blindly? Whatever she meant, he was more concerned with not ending up a sacrafice.

"I have done nothing but awaken these people into what they truly are." The priestess responded in a way that made Seledine want to groan. "I follow my instruction, the god speaks to me and I obey." She added, causing Seledine to be quite positive that something really wasn't right. Last time she was here, there was a priestess, yes, but she never spoke to the god. The only thing she did was coordinate the festivities and judge conflicts that occurred.
"Who has been telling you these isntructions? Surely not the beast in the pit as the only messages you claim to have received before are those of bad storms and peaceful seas." Seledine commented, this whole thing shouldn't have been happening. It couldn't be right, this wasn't the time line of the world was it? She was still young by nature and experience...HE would have known what to do.
A crackling laugh came from behind the colorful cloth, Seledine's eyes narrowed. "He lives and he breathes and he talks to me. Oh how he speaks, the things he tells me about everything everyone! The knowledge and power he brings, it burns and it sings to me in my sleep." She sounded mad, Seledine taking a step back, and grabbing Zach's wrist. Not go at all. "But none of that knowledge will belong to you! Take them! They will be given to the beast tomorrow at dawn!" She spoke loudly, commanding her followers.

The people under the priestess's orders moved forward to take them. Zach tensed looking around him for an exit. There was only one and it was now blocked. They had no where to run and no weapon. They were sunk. They grabbed Seledine and Zach, Zach not putting up much of a fight after the largest of the males got his arms bended behind his back at an odd painful angle. All but dragging them at this point, they took them to a part of the underground that was set up much like the priestess's room, one exit small enough for only one to get out and heavily gaurded. Once inside the tomb like place the men stood gaurd, blocking alot of the light from the area and making it quite dark. Zach rubbed his shoulder where the guy had jerked him around and he heard someone clear their throat. He looked back towards the entrance to the place and saw the man that did it looking back at him, his eyes expressing a small concern as well as a guarded hint to it. "Sorry...had the situation not ended up like this, I would have no problem with you two." When the man disappeared Zach sighed, leaning against the rock that was behind him. "Well, this sucks." He didn't have to say it but he felt the need to point it out. That and the mental voice kept rattling off things about. 'I can't believe they did that--how is it possible-there must be a logical explenation-.' 'There is a reason. They're nuts.' That shut the voice up for a little while, long enough for him to look to Sel, well what he guessed was Sel from the faint light. "Are you alright?"

Her eyes never left the colored cloth as she was dragged away. Until it no longer was in her sight, her face was tilted in what looked like a very angry and confused expression. This was not right, not logical, nothing was how it should be. Practically being thrown into the little cell, she had noticed the guards and how how to get back to where they had originally been, despite looking as though she had just had been very shocked by the Priestess's reaction.
Of course it sucked, Seledine had to think, but not responding. The man's words were echoing in her head, he was not someone who took this lightly, it was obvious that there was something in him rebelling at the fact, otherwise he wouldn't have made that comment. Maybe, she could use him in a little bit. Rubbing her left bicep, she felt a bruise coming on from the rough grip of one of the women. She obviously had an issue as usually the women were much more opposed to violence on this planet then the men. The priestess was even more worrisome. She seemed to be greedy and power hungry. Something or someone was controlling her, warping her into what they wanted. Whether is was some sort of drug or something else, Seledine wanted to find out.
"Yea, I am fine. How about yourself?" She questioned, walking over to where Zach was, pulling out the light from earlier. Smirking, she loved her pockets. So useful. "Now, how about we rest for a bit then get to work? I love breaking out of prisons. It is so much fun." She chattered, seeming to not be worried or bothered at all, when in all reality, she was quite concerned for Zach's safety. Why couldn't she just get one relaxing trip with a new companion.

Zach should have been shocked by Sel's utter lack of care at being in a jail cell, but of course he simply nodded when she mentioned breaking out. Getting the heck out of there sounded like a brilliant idea at the moment after all. "Hard to say how exactly to do that. It isn't like we can run out of here and I doubt they'd just let us leave, and your blue time traveling machine box thing is back on the beach. And also...I kind of don't want to see these people having to live like this or let the next unlucky person end up in this situation." He looked to the door way and then back to Sel. "I don't supose you have something else useful in those magic pockets of yours."

"Oh, I wasn't going to just leave everything how it is. That would be wrong and detrimental to this planets time line. I have a few ideas." She gave him a smile, the way it formed on her face looking eerily wrong. Sighing, she paced for a moment before chuckling at Zach's comment. "Of course, it is just a matter of when to use them." She explained and then walked over to him, sitting with her back up against the wall. Motioning for him to sit next to her, it was obvious she was waiting for something, a look of thought on her face.
"We wont be doing anything until after they give us food at the very earliest." She sounded almost confident that they would be feeding them, even though the natives were planning on murdering them tomorrow. They were still rooted in their hospitality after all. She had a plan and hoped that it would work. Thank the heavens she had a quick mind.

Zach should still have been uneasy but his smile betrayed him at her words. Of course Sel had a plan, one that he hoped he really could invest in this plan as much as he thought he could. He was surprised that she had been right about them feeding them, one of the women adressing the guards a couple of hours later with plate of the strange looking food. She let out clipped sentances to the men, the only word Zach understanding was Yola, thanks to Sel. The men then parted for the woman, letting her into the room. She kept her distance from the two, her eyes on the floor as she placed the plates down. "I promise....It's good food, nothing bad. I-I made sure." She said, glancing slightly up at Sel and then to Zach. She didn't linger too long on either of their glances and looked almost sad to see them here. "Thank you." Zach said, wanting to let her off the hook of all this since she looked so guilty, though it was english and he knew she may not understand. He just felt better knowing he made an effort to be courteios, even though he had no idea what she just said. She looked up at him, her nose wrinkling in confusion. "I don't understand your friend." She said looking to Sel. "Just let him know you two will still be alive for tomorrow." She said, turning on her heels to exit.

"Thank you." Seledine responded, echoing Zach but in the woman's natural language. Giving her a sorry smile, as if she was the one who needed the sympathy, Seledine watched her go. Ignoring her food, he pushed it towards Zach, offering her potion as well. The look on her face made it obvious that she wasn't going to each, her pale green eyes holding an odd looking glint. She was worried, always worried, but alas, she wasn't going to let it show.
Taking her utensils, she turned her back to the guard, the ground chilled through her pants and sat back down, grabbing the odd contraption from earlier that day out of her pocket, along with a rather odd looking mallet. Precariously she set the box of metal on the ground and without a word the mallet slammed into the box, a soft echoing sound coming from the box. A twitch of a smile came to her lips before it vanished and she put the mallet away, only to pull out a pair of sunglasses and a thin looking object that seemed almost like a pen. However it was not. As she placed the darkened lenses onto her nose, and held the 'pen' out above the metal box, it glowed green and emitted a faint buzzing sound.
She sat like that for a while. Not talking, not seeming open to talking, though she wouldn't ignore and questions Zach might have, in fact she might babble, a trait she had gotten from HIM. Pulling her eating utensils out of the food, she was pleased to find they were made of metal, though perplexed because most was made of wood or carved from larger shells. Working more, she shoved the fork like object and the spoon into the box. Its shaped had changed dramatically, turning into what would look to most earthlings like a game controller. It was far different however and much more advanced.

Zach waited to see what Sel would do, already thinking to himself how bleak this reallly looked for them. But she of course had some idea, so he would just have to rely on that. He glanced over at her noticing her taking the utensiles from the food and using it to work on that weird beeping locator thing from last time. His raised his brows when he saw her break the thing, and then began to tinker with it. She wasn't being loud so the gaurds didn't seem to care much. "I'd ask what you were doing, but I don't think I'd understand even if you told me." Zach said quietly as he watched her work. She seemed so concentrated, almost like she was investing everything in the work infront of her. He watched her expression change and noticed it brought a smile to his face. He didn't quite know why, or at least until she whipped out the 'pen'. He was entranced by the green light, something about it seemed so damn familiar.
"Sonic screw driver? Doctor I don't understand-" "What's there to understand? Its a screw driver with sonic capabilities. Totally out of norm and completely useful. And besides it...looks rather cool doesn't it."
Zach blinked waking up from whatever mind frame he'd been swept into and recoiled away from the light. 'I can't...avoid thinking now that maybe....just maybe...I've seen all this before...that maybe, I really don't know who I really am...or that maybe she does..' He thought, looking to Sel now in a new light. It was definately weird that all these things kept making sense to him, that he didn't know who he was, not even having an inkling of what he did up until he met her. He would have ask her later though, right now he didn't wish to mess up whatever flow of thought and action she was in..
