"Wow, that's pretty cool." Claire said, herself relaxing a little now that he seemed a bit better. Her head was humming however with ideas for something nice to wear. A dress maybe? She pulled herself back out of her throughts and back to reality. "Hmm, two days. It shouldn't be too hard to find something nice to wear. This is Europe after all." She thought aloud. She was in a sense a 'girly' girl. She was a bit of a shoe hore back in Chicago and loved seeing the new lines from the shows that were often posted in the Chicago Tribune. But actually wearing that stuff, she felt that was a little too above her and her wallet.

"Cool, well I'll see ya around Claire. Thanks again for calling me." He said "Good night, Sweet dreams." He said before hanging up the phone. "You almost done being talking to your girl friend Matt?" "Shes already off the phone so stop it already. " He heard her sigh, making him smile. It was like a normal sister and her brother, he liked that. The only problem was that they were so far apart in life as adults.

Claire closed the phone, her smile not fading. Matt really was sweet, though most guys would be annoyed by Claire's nature. She tossed her phone on the bed and sat down at her desk, plucking a book from the many there. She would try to read a little more poetry before she forced herself to sleep. She was in such a good mood that she didn't really understand why. 'Could it be...that Matt...?' She shook her head, pushing the thought away. That kind of thing didn't exist after all. Feelings were just feelings, nothing more. It's not like someone could actually say that being attracted to someone meant that you were bound to them by a silly little word like "like" or even the latter "love". She gave a shrug. None of that even applied after all right now. It was just an outing between friends right? 'Why am I getting all worked up over this?'

The bell rang, the class was there and so was the last person he wanted to see. She was sitting in a rather provocative skirt, front row, had glasses on and was trying to go for the 'school girl' look. "Good morning class, Today we are taking our first section of our test for the end of the class. Please make sure you have everything you need, Pencils, scrap paper for the problems, as well as a calculator and a ruler. Are we ready?" Most the students were ready but of course Natalie wasn't. Raising her hands she perked out her chest," Sir, I don't seem to be able to find my calculator. Or do I seem to have a Pencil, might I borrow yours?" He frowned at her, a few students giving her eyes and a few giving her a dirty look, mostly girls. His frown deepened," Very well." He stood up and handed her an calculator and a pencil. she smiled as she started chewing on the eraser, he rolled his eyes and took a seat. "Begin." He said starting the timer. She was going her best to distract him during the best, he eventually just got out his tickets and looked at them thinking about Claire, whom he had next period. He put them down glancing about the room to see who was still working, every one still was. "Five minute warning." He called to the class, hearing a few groans and some people scribbling faster. He didn't glance at Natalie- which was pissing her off completely now. When the timer went off she huffed dropping the pencil on the floor and gave him a look saying 'Pick it up.' He ignored her, pulling his eyes from hers. As students turned in their tests she jumped in line before the last few and handed back his calc. and his pencil. "Thanks professor. I appreciate you helping me out and all." She chimed as though it would sound 'wrong' to listeners, he simply gave a 'hum' in response then went to collect the next test. She looked completely miffed when she left the class room. Having a seat he sighed, he knew she was a devious bitch but not to this level.

Claire felt like she'd gotten the perfect ammount of sleep last night. She was refreshed and ready for the day, even though she had studied her ass off for that test otday in physics. It sucked that there was a test today, but it was nothing she couldn't handle. Posh looked tired as hell after pulling an all nighter and was still trying to pump herself full of coffee to stay awake. "I don't get it. How do you stay so uppity for classes?" Paige sighed after they just got out of an intese English period. Claire blinked not realizing her demeanor seemed to be more sunshiney. "I don't know." She said and Paige gave a shake of her head. There were people coming out of the last period and Paige heard a couple people muttering about how hard the test was. One girl noticed Paige and hurried over. "Posh, that was nothing! Bloody hell you think people would study more." The girl said, giving Claire an up and down look before ignoring her when Claire didn't jump into the conversation. "And you'll love this Posh...." She giggled and Paige raised a brow with a smile. "What will I love about Physics?" "Not Physics! Natalie! It was like she was being extra pushy today, she even made Professor Schwartz get all quiet. He even ignored her, poor thing looked like she was about to have a fit!" The girls laughed but Claire simply blinked with a frown. So Natalie was still around....she shook the thought off, knowing she shouldn't be worried...The first bell chimmed and the girls parted ways, Posh and Claire going to class. "Ah Stella is always such a gossip mongere. But I swear that's too funny though about Nat." Posh snickered and Claire gave a shrug. She really didn't want to laugh at Natalie, or even poke fun at her. It just didn't feel right.

AS the next bell rang he looked up at his new class, no one had said 'hi' to him today so it was out that there was a test. He looked around and his eyes landed on Claire and he couldn't help but smile. "Welcome to Physics class, Today as I'm sure your fellow class mates have spread have that there is a test today, then they are correct. you will have til the end of the period to complete this test segment. You will need a pencil, some scrap paper and a calculator. Is every one ready?" He asked as he started passing out the tests face down on their chosen seats. When he got to Posh's seat he leaned in and talked to her a second. "If you need a coffee break to stay awake let me know, I'll get you some." He said to her knowing she stayed up all night as was trying to get a good grade he was being nice since they were friends. When he got to Claire desk he smiled at her, as he placed the test down he grazed her hand. It was his silent way of saying "HI" with out saying a word. He passed out two calculators to students who needed them then he sat down in his chair and called out "Begin."

"Nah, I can power through this." Paige whispered as he passed, rolling up the sleeves of her low cut long sleeve shirt. She had no worries about failing. She always did well on tests. Claire felt the brush on her hand and looked up at him with a smile. She was happy that he noticed her and that he would say hi. She looked over the test and smiled to herself. She had this in the bag. She worked hard, writting her answers neatly and precisely as she always did. She always had very neat handwriting, since her father always focused on her wrting in her homeschooling when they traveled. She wrote out the short responses and got stumped on one however. She tried to think of where she could have seen that lesson and instantly she remembered yesterday in the library, the walk in the rain with Matt and the way he sat with her, his foot against hers, his smile and blush in his cheeks. She blushed and quickly propped her head up with her hand so that she could hide the blush with her bangs. 'Focus!' Her thoughts snapped and she tried to think about what he'd been saying at that moment....what had he been saying again?

Matt looked about the room making sure no one cheated and it stayed quiet. He kept an eye on every one making sure it was quiet and such when there was a few minutes left he announced it. Before he knew it the bell rang and the test was over. "Alright, pencils down, please bring your tests up and all the materials that you used to work out the problems."

Claire straightened out her papers neatly, and noticed Paige a seat away from her was passed out sleeping. When she got up to turn her stuff in she shook Paige lihtly. Paige shot up, looking startled. "Huh eh-? Where-how-?" Claire pointed down at the desk. "OH test-!" She looked down and saw that she had finished but falled asleep after doing so. She blew a sigh of relief and got to her feet. Claire gave her head a small shake with a quietly contained giggled as she approached Matt's desk. "There you go." Claire said handing him the papers, Paige not to far behind. "Re-eally long test, so boring it took all my strength to keep my eyes open." She said and Claire gave her a small look. "It wasn't bad at all, Posh." She said and Paige gave her a ruffled look. "Of course you'd agree with the teacher." She stuck her tongue out at Claire, reminding her oddly of a kindergardener. It was all in good humor so Claire gave her a smile. "Of course." She laughed before she looked back to Matt. As always, he seemed perfectly at place infront of the class. She ignored the inner fluttery feeling and tried to think of just what to say.

He smiled t her when he got her neatly printed answered paper. "Thank you- and Paige I hope your nap went well." A couple students snickered at Paige's sleeping issue after the test but scampered off to their next class. Next he grabbed Paige's sloppier writing and put the rest on the desk. "I have to grade some tests this hour so I have to stay in here." He said sounding kinda sad about not getting to spend time with Claire. When every one had left he sighed sitting down, resigned to get this done and over with. Grading was so boring. Looking from the answer key to the papers he was grading he heard the door click open softly then click closed. However no one said anything when they came in. He looked up over his papers and there was Natalie. Still dressed toe the nines in her attempt to do something stupid. "Do you need something Miss Somers?" She glared at him, then a smile crept over her lips. "I want you to stop playing hard to get. You know You still want me back..."she said as she approached the desk and leaned over it giving him a shot straight down her shirt. he gave her a reproachful look and a smile came to his lips. Looking her in the eyes he smiled. "Your right, I want you to get out of my class, I've sent the dean your transfer papers already signed and dated. have a great afternoon." She stood still looking at him like he was crazy. "Excuse me?""You heard me. I said you are out of my class. Please leave or I will call campus security. Don't bother coming to the rest of the week of class, it will do you no good." He continued to look at her with a 'shit head' smirk on his face. If she wanted to play dirty he was game. He didn't send in the paper but he did ask the dean to come by and indeed she did, walking right into the class and seeing what Natalie was wearing her eyes going wide as she saw what she was trying to do. "DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THAT OUTFIT GOES AGAINST THE DRESS CODE YOUNG LADY?!" her voice boomed around the room. Matt looked satisfied when the dean made her march to her office to call her dorm mother to get her scolded again and send back to her room to change. Some people saw her go in but not come out but some people made rumors and others knew what happened but most of it was he said she said. Mostly the dean, Matt, and Natalie and a few students knew what was going on for real. ((hint hint LOL))

Paige and Claire walked down the halls deciding to kill their hour long free time in the courtyard. It was noisier than the library but it was such a lovely day after all the rain yesterday that even Claire was willing to deal with the crowds of people to enjoy the sunshine. "AH finally out of the dreary building!" Paige huffed as she plopped down on a bench that was under an old tree that sat sat in the courtyard. Claire gave an enthusiastic nod. "It really is nice out here. I really do love the English weather." Paige gave her a look. Claire sure was relaxing more it seemed. It was nice to see after so many days of just getting the girl to talk. It made Posh feel like she had in someway helped her, perhaps that would make up for all the bad she had done in her past years... "Oh so are you calling English moody and indecisive?" She joked and Claire gave a shrug. "Perhaps." Posh gave a gasp and poked her side. Claire gave a laugh before she looked at Paige with a bright smile. "No fair! I'm ticklish." She said and Paige gave her a laugh. "You really are a weird American." The two laughed just as a girl came over to them in a hurry, her body humming with excitement. "Posh, got another bit for you. A real ringer this is, totally brill-" Paige gave an eyeroll. "Alright Stella, spill it." Claire didn't really want to hear the gossip since she felt wrong listening to buisness that wasn't hers. Besides she probably wouldn't know the people involved anyways. "Okay, you're not going to believe this, but remember what got said about Natalie earlier and her little display for the professor. Well, the bird to the bees, is that she may have caught a few more eyes than we thought." Paige blinked, while Claire opened her book of poetry, a new one she had borrowed from the library. Now that she knew this was over Natalie she honestly felt really wrong listening, especially since she couldn't understand the British slang and metaphors anyways. "No, really?" Paige suddenly looked really interested, making Claire clightly curious. "Did she reall get a bite that fast? From who? Which little boy got caught in that trap?" "Seems she had perfect aim." Paige stood up suddenly, her eyes wide. "No! That's a bloody joke if I've every heard one-!" Paige looked wide eyed and shocked. That made Claire worry to the point she actually put down her book to listen. "No-o! It's serious as sin! She waltzed back in there like a proper queen and snatched the boy up. Word has it she went in and no one's been out since the third warning bell rang." "A whole 30 minutes huh? No way he could stand her that long-hell, no way!" "Wh-what?" Claire flinched when the girls looked at her and she gave a small gulp, mustering up enough of her curiousity to speak. "What's going on with Natalie?" Paige's expression changed a bit, seemed to soften as if she was worried about something. But the other girl had no qualms with blurting out the story before Posh could find a way to say it gently. "Gosh American girl, you have to learn to keep up. Anywho, Natalie is getting back with the physics professor, if you know what I mean...the girl has been warming her way back into his good graces with some luck aparently." Claire blinked, her face falling. The shell shock was initial, so quickly in place that she couldn't stop herself from stupidly saying, "H-Huh?" Stella rolled her eyes. "Rumor has it Natalie and Professor Schwartz are still fooling around!" Paige gave Stella an elbow to the side. "Hey-now no need for attitude." She looked to Claire who seemed to be confused on the outside, with a rather blank look on her face. Paige hadn't seen that cold look before on Claire and it made her uneasy. "Hey Kitten, it's only a rumor. Besides you and I both know Matt wouldn't-" Claire seemed to snap out of her daze and she quickly gave Posh a smile. "Huh?- oh no no- I totally get it. Rumors are-trivial things..." She fidgetted with the corner of the book and Psh gave her a once over glance. Claire seemed fine but there was something in her voice that made Posh uneasy. Paige sat back down next to Claire as Stella kept talking and tried to catch a glimpse of her face. She seemed totally okay, her face devoid of any kind of emotion towards the information. Paige gave a sigh and went back to talking to Stella. Paige eased up from asking her anything and good thing she did....Claire nervously picked at the corner of the book, her mind trying to process all of what she just heard. So Natalie and Matt were-but hadn't he stopped dating her?-and didn't he say he didn't want to be back with her...But wait-why did she care? It wasn't her place to care. She was his friend not...all of that hanging out was just for fun right? and besides she wasn't a Natalie, she had more to offer, and Natalie did know him better..... The last thought shocked her. She blinked, touching her temple lightly as if she could feel such a horrid thought there in her mind. She quickly pushed those thoughts away but to no avail. She could still feel a pain, a small sick feeling welling in her core. It was a myysterious emotion that made her even more confused and shocked. What was going on with her over some silly rumor...? Little did she know, she seemed to have receeded back into her shell, trying to focus on the lines of William Blake rather than the thoughts that buzzed in her head.

Matt sighed, his mind was too excited to grade papers now, he got up form his chair and looked out the window onto the court yard from the second row of desks. He was Paige and Claire---and Stella who looked too excited- never a good sight. He saw Clarie body language shut down-like she had been in the beginning and he wasn't sure what was going on but it wasn't good. Suddenly a very loud campus wide PA went off calling him to the dean's office. He sighed, heading there because he wanted to get in and get out before the class session was over. Knocking on the door, the dean was alone. "Yes mama?" "I wanted to make sure you wanted Her out of your class." "Yes mama. I wanted her removed." She nodded and shooed him so she could do some paper work now. However he didn't take the elevator back down he took the stairs almost a flight at a time. When he got the the out sidewall he jumped threw the open window onto the lawn a few students looked shocked to see him but he smiled at them and straightened up heading over to Posh and Claire. He glared at Stella, knowing it was about him as soon as he saw her face. "Hey, sorry I didn't feel like sitting inside to grade all day. So I decided to come visit." He said taking a relaxed seat next to Claire who was reading Poetry like a recluse that the sun was going to burn her if she touched it.

(lol perfect imagery!) The group of girls shut up and tensed when Matt come over, each looking oddly guilty of something. Paige looked to him with a small questionate look while Stella's composure was lost to a rather sly smile. "Well, seems I have this thing in the library. Can't dally anymore. Catch you later Posh, American girl, Professor." Stella hurried off with another couple girls and the silence carried. Paige noticed the silence was deafening and gave a shrug. She opened her mouth to say something but Claire beat her to it. "Good, you should enjoy the weather. It's rather lovely today." She suddenly said, looking up from her book with a smile. Paige's jaw snapped shut and she looked over Claire's expression, flawlessly normal, too normal. Claire noticed Paige looking at her funny and she looked to her with a small crease to her brows. "Something the matter Posh?" Paige gave a shake of her head. "No nothing." Her voice was innocent of any kind of knowledge and she knew she was perfectly composed. She had become a master at this game of faces and outward appearance, learning at a young age how to play things by ear. She firmly believed anyways that it was best to keep your worries and troubles from others. After all, it only made them feel troubled and she didn't want to make anyone feel that way.

He looked between the two of them, not understanding why they seemed too quiet...and something was off... He leaned closer to Claire and whispered into her ear a question."Whats wrong?" Then he looked at Posh's dumb founded look at ask another one," What? Did I kill some ones cat?" He was feeling odd with all these eyes on him. It was weird, like something nasty had happened and his name was involved. "Alright Posh what did Stella say... I know she is a gossip whore. Spit it out." He asked her very very bluntly he hated gossip about him and this was what happened last item there was gossip about him. His body language read frustrated and his face looked severely irritated though still calm.

Claire blinked when Matt suddenly leaned in and she felt that same nervous fluttering of warmth in her chest. "What's wrong?" The words made her face fall, that composed mask faltering for a brief moment. She felt her cheeks growing warm, but not just out of the close proximity. Also because she was embarrassed that she had listened to gossip, that she had let it get to her in a way. When he pulled away to look at Posh, the look on his face made her uneasy. He was mad, very much so, only making her feel even more guilty. Paige raised her hands in a symbol of innocence. "Hey hey, don't shoot the recipiant. It's no big deal. Just alot of talk about Natalie's little display this morning. Besides it's from Stella, everyone knows she over exagerates." Paige said, being vague enough but telling him enough that he'd understand that they weren't buying it. She also didn't like how pissed he looked. To be honest she didn't want to see him get angry over this. Claire went back to her book, quiet again since she felt she shouldn't say anything. Posh could handle it. She flipped over the poem A Poison Tree, knowing she didn't need to be reading poems about poison in ones life.
