------------------------------
The sky was bright this morning. Full of pale pinks, yellows, oranges, and blues. Unfortunately there was no red in the sky, though that tended to mean storms were on their way, it was ever so pretty in Astaroth's eyes. His oddly bright green eyes did catch the silver sliver of the moon still up in the heavens for him to view. Every night and every morning he always felt it's pull on his mind and emotions. Always and forever it was to be a part of him. This led his thoughts back to his past and a young girl who had taught him to enjoy his life. He sighed however and brushed her from his mind, flicking his light blue locks out of his eyes.
The morning held wisps of wind that hinted at possible rain later that evening, and the few clouds that drifted across the sky seemed to be on some sort of schedule to get to a specific destination. Astaroth of course was in no great hurry to any where, he just enjoyed taking walks around the city. It was an interesting town that almost seemed to be confused with its architecture. He wasn't concerned with that at the moment however as he was walking along in one of the various parks, this one tended to be a bit more woody than the others and Astaroth preferred it that way. It seemed to make humans nervous but it calmed him to be closer to nature.
This park also appealed to his tastes because of a small children's park towards the outskirts of the tree lined park. He was walking that way out of habit, his memories going towards the girl again and once more he brushed her from his mind. It was empty at this time of morning as one would expect, the slight breeze making the leaves on trees rustle ever so slightly. Astaroth walked over towards the small sandbox that was present and kneeled down in it, ignoring the fact that his white pants were to become slightly browned. Reaching down, he picked up a handful of sand and clenched it tightly, squishing the sand between his figures, then his hand relaxed and opened, the sand slipping away until he finally turning his hand palm down and the last of the sand fell back down to his brothers. "Just like time..." He muttered and dusted his hands off.
As he did whenever he visited this park in the early mornings, he held out his right hands and something began to form. The air began to swirl and move around his palm and then a small red burst took form into a fiery butterfly. Astaroth's toxic green eyes trailed after the tiny creation as it began to fly off into the morning sky. It was somewhat of a message and for what he didn't know. It just seemed to feel like something he had to do. His hand clenched into a fist and then he lowered his arm slowly to his side and sighed, thrusting his hands into his pockets. He looked up to the sky and his eyes focused on the moon. He felt a small trickle of power leak into his runes across his arms, back, and chest causing them to glow. Luckily, even though it was warm out, he had a white jacket on covering up eerie silver glow that he knew he would have been able to see otherwise. He closed his eyes at this point and sighed, taking in the feeling of being what he was. His ear twitched as he heard something out of the ordinary and he opened his eyes and looked forward, waiting to see what it might have been.------------------------------ Words: 623 Notes: Hope this works! Many years waking up in the same house with her parent's not really being around. Going through the normal routine. The work outs, the appearances...she was starting to get really fed up with all of it. She was tired. She wasn't a normal person to anyone in her family or anyone else that knew her. Ellie got out of bed and walked over to her window. At the third floor of the house she could see the sun rising, it was always so beautiful. This was one of her favorite times of the day, life hasn't started yet and everything is getting ready for the chaos. Ellie stretched and yawned, it was early but she felt good. "Elaine you're running late already" her bedroom intercom went off and she rolled her eyes. She hated being told what to do and when to do it "Elaine did you hear me?" Her mother's voice called over the intercom again "Yes mother. I heard you the first time"
Ellie walked over to her closet and pulled out her jogging outfit and walked into the bathroom. She brushed out her hair and pulled it into a pony tail. She dressed and grabbed her Ipod off the counter. She placed the ear buds in her ears and started down stairs "now remember only an hour and then home. We have to meet your father at the hall to make sure everything's ready for tonight" her mother told her as she walked downstairs. "Yes mother. I remember" she snipped a little to her mom. "And get rid of that attitude while you are on your run" "yes mother" and then she left. It felt great to get away from her mother even for an hour.
Ellie started off on her run down the street playing one of her loudest songs. She picked up her pace and ran in time with the music. But just as soon as her run started she stopped. Something was tugging at her heart but she couldn't tell what it was. "Ooookkkay" she said to herself and turned into the park. She picked up her pace again and started to run full pace. She closed her eyes to settle her mind and collided with a solid object. She feel on her ass on the grass "Ouch" she called out and her Ipod fell out of her pocket. She picked herself up and dusted the grass and dirt off of her and then picked up her Ipod. She checked to make sure it wasn't busted and turned around "Oh" she exclaimed as she saw a guy and then it clicked "I'm so sorry. Was that you that I ran into?"

The quick pace of feet hitting the ground and then a collision that merely knocked Astaroth off balance. He was a little taken aback and turned his green eyes towards the girl who had been running. He opened his mouth to respond that it was indeed he whom she had run into but something about her face caught something in his memory. His mouth opened and closed for a moment before he mentally kicked himself. "Yes it was me but it's perfectly fine miss." He wasn't sure what he was thinking but it didn't matter. To the girl he looked like a twelve year old, at least that is what most people considered him despite his real age.
Unfortunate as it was, Astaroth was still just an impling, a child in demon terms though most his age were fully formed demons, magnificent in their might. A soft sigh escaped his lips as he remembered his manners. "Are you alright though, nothing bruised or hurting real bad?" He caught a glimpse of her eyes as he examined her face. He could never forget though eyes but they seemed different somehow... Again he mentally shook himself of these bizarre thoughts. If he was to know if this was the girl that haunted his memories than he would have to learn her name and maybe see where she lived though...that seemed quite stalker-ish.
He brushed his blue locks out of his eyes and smiled lightly. "I wasn't expecting anyone out this early in the morning. Most people despise the early hours but the sky is at one of its most beautiful." He began and started slightly babbling as was a somewhat bad habit of his when he was working out something in his mind. Though when he smiled his eyes did not. They hadn't for years.

She sighed that the guy wasn't a jerk about her running into him "I am truly sorry" she said brushed her bangs out of her eyes and then she really looked at him. He was just a boy, she looked him up and down and stopped at his eyes. She couldn't bring her mind to settle on how she knew those eyes. She cleared her throat "I'm sorry" she said again and then looked to the sky "yes it is beautiful. I always go on morning runs. It's the best time cause then people don't stop me and want to talk to me" but then she remembered, not everyone in town knew her family and the kid must be new to town or something cause he didn't immediately gush over her.
"I'm not hurt. It just startled me is all. Again I'm sorry but I've got to get back to my workout." She walked off a little bit and then stopped taking an ear bud out of her ear "Forgive my manners I'm Elaine Lennox, but I go by Ellie" she gave him a very sweet smile

Astaroth smiled at the fact that people would want to stop and talk to her. He gave a small wave and nodded his goodbye as she said she had to leave. He had begun to turn to walk his separate way when she spoke again, this time her name. He froze in place, a small spark seeming to light in his mind as something strong inside of him pulled at his emotions and his heart. He turned to face her, his eyes seeming brighter than before.
"Well Ellie, if I might call you that, my name is Astaroth but I believe that you can call me Vasuki." He didn't want to say that you used to call me ... because it was obvious that he was not remembered in her mind, at least he wasn't at the moment. He knew now that she loved morning runs because people left her alone so maybe he could see her again and talk to her but it wasn't likely that she would remember him.
"I am glad though that you are not hurt and I don't want to keep you any longer on your workout." He gave her a smile though it didn't match her sweet one. His seemed slightly sad. "Maybe I will see you some other morning." He knew he sounded much older than a twelve year old, the way he held himself and the way he spoke as he didn't like to use slang very often. He also wasn't one for very many words at least not too often would he go on a long rant about something.
Astaroth put his hands behind his back and he conjured up the fiery butterfly from earlier. He set it aloft and to float towards Ellie and he turned around to walk away not knowing whether or not she would recognize it or not from her childhood. His mind was spinning as his demon blood pounded through his veins and he could hear it in his his head it seemed like. In a demon's genes there is a specification or a pull towards ones mate. Usually a demon would find their mate within fifty years of being born. It was something odd that no one, not even the elders, could explain. A pull towards one being that left you feeling empty if you were not near them after they have been found. That is what Astaroth felt as he began walking away from her. His face looking almost heartbroken.

'Vasuki' that sounded familiar to her but she didn't want to say anything so she gave him a smile. "Maybe. It was nice talking to you Vasuki" she tired out his name and it felt normal on her lips to say it. Then she placed her ear buds in her ears and started off on a brisk walk. She wasn't getting into her music at the moment because her mind was on Vasuki. He felt familiar to her and she couldn't place why.
She stopped a few minutes later feeling like she had forgot something. She turned around to look at the children park again and saw a bright red butterfly, it wasn't really new to her because as of lately she had been seeing them a lot. She just held out her hand and the butterfly landed. She looked at it with wondering eyes "Where do you always come from? Huh little guy" She watched his wings flap and she was mesmerized by it. Something in her heart told her that she was missing something and this butterfly always made it more apparent.
Soon the butterfly took off and then she picked up her pace of running to get back home on time. She looked down at her watch and knew that she was going to be late but she didn't care at the moment. Ellie walked into the house removing her headphones and placing it in her pocket "You are late!" She heard her mother scream "It won't take me more then five minutes to get cleaned up" She called back as she was walking up the stairs to her room.

Astaroth walked off the path when he heard her footsteps dissipate. His mind still consumed with confused and mixed emotions. He was ever so happy to get to talk to Ellie again after so many years, saddened that she didn't recognize him, and mad at himself for not saying anything though it wasn't as if she would have believed him anyways. He was also mad a his instincts which were to force her to remember or not care about her feelings and take her away---but he wasn't like that. He wasn't like some of the demons who stole away pretty human girls to force them to do as they pleased though unfortunately it was in a demon's genes to persevere until they got what they wanted.
Into the forest he went, going deeper until he couldn't see the path or the street. He felt as immersed in nature as he could be and as he felt that he found a sturdy looking tree and began to climb it. He found a large branch that would hold his weight and he sat on it, his back to the trunk. He placed his hands together, it almost looked like he was about to pray. He opened and closed his hands very slowly, almost in a clapping motion, every time he opened his hands it looked as if a spider was spinning a web. Astaroth could feel his runes begin to heat up with the strength of the magic he was preforming, chanting the words in his mind. Finally when it looked as if there was a tube of webbing between his hands it burst into an icy blue light. When the light subsided there was a serpentine dragon, no back legs and no wings. Ice blue in color with silver striping down its belly. Eyes as piercing a neon green as Astaroth's and a circular gem of the same color on it's forehead. Dark blue fur adorned its head almost like a crown with the light blue horns poking from the sides of it's forehead
This was the essence of Astaroth's being, something similar to what his imp form looked like but more animalistic. He breathed deeply and closed his eyes, the dragonic being's eyes flashed and it became fully aware. Astaroth then sent it to where he believed Ellie lived at least it was the same place he had seen her years ago. He wanted to find out if there was someway that he could talk to her without it being during short intervals in the morning. There would be no progress that way.

She walked into her room and closed the door. She rested against it for a minute and then walked over to her vanity. She sat down and stared at herself in the mirror. She sighed to herself and opened her jewelry box the little ballerina started to dance to the soft melody. She grabbed a picture out of the small box and looked at it. Her childhood when everything was still fun and her best friend. Every day she would sit at that vanity and look at herself and the picture. She missed him dearly, when she was with him it was like the whole world stopped just so they could be together.
After a minute she put the picture back and closed the jewelry box. She walked into her bathroom and washed her face trying to figure out what she was going to do with her hair. She finally decided on pulling it back and she would wear her long black dress with some green ivy that went up the back and her black stilettos. She dressed and only put on some base make up. She didn't want to get too fancy for just an appearance. Then she quickly made her way downstairs where her mother was waiting for her and tapping her foot. "You are seriously cutting it close today young lady. Where is your head?" But she knew her mother didn't really want an answer so she just walked outside where the limo was waiting and got in "Roosevelt Hotel, Tyson" "Yes ma'am" "And please hurry, we're running late" "Yes ma'am" he said and they took off down the long drive-way.

Small in size yet bright in color it was something most would just give a fleeting glance and their mind, not wanting to comprehend what it really was, saw a bright blue bird instead of a wingless flying creature that looked almost like a serpentine dragon. It floated through the air, some power of its own causing it to have good speed and the ability to move as it did. Flowing like a snake, it dipped down as it came to its destination, just in time to see two women walking into a limo. It gently alighted upon the top of the limo and honed it's hearing just in time to hear the words, "Roosevelt Hotel."
Astaroth opened his eyes at this point, leaving his creation where it was as he was going to be using him as his ears to figure out what was going on at this hotel. If there was any trouble, the essence would find a place to stow away or just seem to disappear. He hoped down from the tree, landing gently, not needing to roll to absorb the shock. He knew where Roosevelt Hotel was and headed towards a small apartment that he held on to for whenever he didn't feel like going home to his castle like abode his parents had left when they had died. It was one of the ways he found out about them, having never met them.
Once he was at this apartment, only furnished with the bare minimum, he took a shower and then sat on his bed, a towel around his waist. He closed his green eyes again to try and figure out what he should do and what was going to be going on.

Ellie just kept her focus outside the window, she dreamed of one day having her own life away from her parents but even at the age of twenty-two she still wants able to tell her parents no. She liked living at the mansion, she liked having some things done for her but she (sometimes) believes that she could be normal...one day. "Elaine" Her mother said softly, she looked at her with no expression "Now when we walk inside I want you to put on a smile and act like you care about the organization and our donation to them" She stared at her mother like she could believe that those words came out of her mouth. "Do you even care? Or do you just care about the publicity it will bring for you and dad" Her mothers face started to turn red and she knew that she hit a very tender string to her mothers.
"Just do as I say and things will be pleasant tonight" her mother said that didn't allow for arguments "Fine but after tonight I'm going out to maintain my sanity" she said and looked away from her mother "Not on..." Ellie looked at her mother and shut up. Ellie could make her mothers life just as miserable and she made Ellie's and she knew it.
The limo pulled up to the hotel and the driver opened the door for them. Her mother got out first and there were a couple of camera flashes and the Ellie got out and the paparazzi started to go crazy "Is it true that you and Brad are going out?" One asked quickly "Is it true that Hugh Hefner asked you to pose for his magazine" More questions were being thrown at her and she just smiled for their pictures and moved on inside.

I guess they don't have a very good family life. That was what Astaroth was thinking as he listened in on their conversation. He heard something about her going out later. This was something that he was looking for and he knew he had no reason to listen in on them any longer or at least stop until later to see where she was going. Some people might call this stalking but Astaroth felt as if he were compelled to do it and he didn't have dirty intentions. He sent his little serpentine dragon on a root to the inside of the hotel in the least visible manor he possibly could. Before he had made it inside he heard something about going out with Brad. This confused Astaroth greatly until he realized that she was actually pretty famous. Of course reporters and/or paparazzi would ask such things. So once inside he left it up to the creature to find a good place to hide and it would let him know if anything pertaining his interests was going on.
He opened his eyes and let a yawn escape his mouth. His body had an ache in it though, something that pulled at his very being. It had been long since he had last been in his demon form but he ignored it some more. It could wait another day or so, maybe even to the next full moon. That wasn't too far away he though. Sighing he leaned back on his bed, his breathing slow and deep. He let his mind wander but forced it to stay away from Ellie. He really needed to stop by and speak with the elders soon. He wasn't understanding why he hadn't shifted forms yet and he also felt that he should consult them on human and demon relationships. He wasn't sure it was even possible but you never know. So he lay like that on his green bed, in his white room, waiting for a sign that Ellie was done with this organization thing.

Ellie went through the motions of shaking hands and smiling for pictures but once she was able to sneak off by herself and sneak a couple of drinks for herself. Then she rejoined the party just at the moment her father was giving his speech. She snuck onto the stage next to her mother. The speech finished up and she walked off with her mother after giving her father a hug "Great speech father as always" "Thank you Ellie" he said giving her a kiss "Now go on and get out of here before your mother stops you" She smiled at her father "thank you dad" she said and quickly walked off. The reports bombarded her again but she just walked up to the limo and got in "Tyson back to the house and then down town" she said and he nodded his head.
Ellie pulled out her cell phone, she dialed a number and then waited for them to pick up "hey, it's been awhile. Did you finally get away" the deep voice asked "Yeah only for a few hours though. Be ready in ten and I'll be there to pick you up Brad. Got it...ten minutes" she said in a hast "Alright ten minutes got it" he said with a smile and she hung up.
The limo pulled up to the house and she ran inside. Once in her room she stripped off the dress took her hair out of the pony tail and then she slipped on some dark blue jeans a blood red tang top and her black books. She ran into the bathroom and applied a little more make up, some silver and red here and there and then eye liner and some of her favorite perfume. She bolted back downstairs and jumped in the limo "To Brad's Tyson" "Yes miss" he said with a smile and they took off down the street to the other large mansion on the block.
It didn't take long before they were pulling up and Brad was already standing outside waiting for them. He slid into the limo "Hey doll" He said and gave her a kiss on the cheek "it's good to see you too Brad" "So I've already called the others and they are on their way to the Rave" "Good, I need this night out, my mother is driving me nuts" "How is the old bat?" "Crazy as always" he leaned over and placed a hand on her cheek and leaned in to kiss her. He placed his lips softly on hers and she thought that this was what she was missing but something else was still pulling at her heart. But she went with it to not hurt Brad's feelings. He pulled away and she gave him one of her best flirtatious smiles. "On to the Rave!" He exclaimed and Ellie joined in grabbing a bottle of champagne.

After falling asleep and dreaming of nothingness, Astaroth woke to colors behind his eyelids and words muffled in his ears. After regaining his senses he realized that his creation was letting him know that something was going on and by this point it was something he didn't like. He could hear Ellie and a males voice in the background, he choose not to see though because he was afraid of what he might see. He could practically hear the kiss as his senses were wired at the moment. At the instant he heard it he destroyed his creation, a loud pop signaling the evaporation because of his mood, also announcing that he had little control over his magic at the moment.
Practically steaming (literally). he got up off the bed , his muscles tense. Demons react much more strongly to someone they believe to be their mate doing anything intimate with another. His eyes seeming to grow brighter, his pupils shrunk to almost nothing, and the runes on his arms, chest, and back glowed brightly, almost seeming to illuminate him. He ransacked his closets until he pulled out two items of clothing that he rarely wore. A tee shirt of blood red and a black leather jacket with silver threaded inlay. In his mind and in his clan these were colors of war if worn together.
This time of the year people would think he was crazy for wearing a leather jacket but he would rather get odd looks than have his runes glowing for all to see. He knew he wasn't going to be able to calm down until he figured out what he was going to do. After getting dressed and brushing his hair out. He grabbed his wallet, an ID inside stating that he was over the age of twenty-one in fact he was twenty-three, even though he looked twelve. Having an idea of where she might be going he headed that way on foot, feeling it necessary to walk off some of his steam which didn't help much to dent his angry, hurt, and confused mind He really had no true idea of what he was going to do anyways.

The limo stopped a few blocks away and Brad got out, no need to let the reporters get anymore info on them. They had enough to deal with at the moment. Brad started walking up and slipped past all the reports and the door man let him through. Then the limo pulled up to the club and everyone turned to see who would come out.
Ellie stared out the window and smiled. This was the kind of attention she like, not the kind that she got from her parents friends. Her driver got out of the limo and walked to her door. He opened the door and Ellie stepped out. She heard a few whispers and a few gasps. She just smiled and walked up to the door man "Good evening Ellie" "Evening Ray" he moved the rope and she walked past him hearing a few groans from the people in the line. She gave him a kiss on his cheek "Thank you Ray" "Anything for you Ellie" he said with a smile and she walked inside.
She met up with the others just inside the door and Brad already had a drink for her. One of her favorites; a double shot red bull and vodka. "Thank you cutie" she said and then they made their way through the club to the upper deck where the VIP area was. There favorite spot where they could see the dance floor. Ellie loved to people watch.

Astaroth knew he had come to the right place. He could here people whispering about who was there and who wasn't. A bitter smirk appeared on his lips and he slipped in through the main door, past all the people and the door man without any of them giving him a single glance. It was a small trick he had learned to act as if you had a place to be and with the little push of magic no one would seem to care. He entered the building it smelling of alcohol, sweat, and substances he would rather not like to have anything to do with. He grimaced as he walked into the crowd, his senses overly active and unaccustomed to the bombardment of new things. He rarely went to places such as these for the main fact that he didn't like out of control drunk humans, no matter how funny they were to watch.
He mingled towards the outside of the crowd, looking around until he noticed the VIP section. He knew she would most defiantly be up there and he could get up there if he wanted to. He could have come in a limo as well but he felt that over kill---at least until he transformed fully. He kept his eyes up at the deck and noticed her almost instantly. He thought he saw a man next to her and his eyes narrowed, glaring at him. The green in his eyes seemed to take an opalescence coloring. He sighed, practically growled, and looked away before he did something stupid. He stayed in full view of the upper deck and paced, almost looking as if he was waiting for something. His bright ice blue hair contrasted greatly with his surroundings and he had a constant scowl on his face, seeming as if he was thinking about something that wasn't very pleasant. He was hoping that she would notice him and if she didn't eventually he would go up and confront her in the 'oh I didn't know you were here. How are you?' sort of way.
