Sam felt a little sorry for Matt, he was a good kid and his sister was going down the same road he saw Colin doing except in Sam's eyes Colin wasn't that crazy he just wanted attention and probably to have their parent's back like him. "Um yeah. After the accident Colin kind of warped and I can't say I came out ok either but since then no other family of our would take us in" he looked at Colin and felt bad for saying it but Colin didn't deny it either. "And frankly I wouldn't want to go live with any of them anyways" Colin huffed, he had taken the worst of it. Blamed their parent's death on himself though Sam felt the same way he just didn't act out as much as Colin "But our grandmother was there for us when it happened and has always been there for us so it was kind of a no brainier in our eyes and she needed the help too since our grandfather passed away a few months back" Sam tried to make it sound a little better but when he said it, it sounded more depressing but he had a soft smile on his lips and grabbed a couple of sodas. "So what were your ideas for the project?" Sam asked as he handed Matt a soda.

As Matt took the soda from Sam he could only wonder if Tillie remembered the two brothers. Probably not, she had even less memories then he himself did. She'd just blocked most of this place. " Sounds like my family. My aunt tried to help, she paid for Tillie to have therapy but you know Tillie wouldn't have a bar of it. She kind of burnt all our options out. She's amazing like that."
Taking a sip of drink from his soda he quickly shared some of his ideas with Sam. " You know the best way to present a group task is to do something different to everyone else. The others will probably what have a power point presentation to go with their talk, maybe posters. We need to do something above and beyound to get a epic mark." How hard would it be to shakespeare anyway.

"And with that I'm out. I'll be in my room if you guys need anything" Colin announced halfway up the stairs to their room. He defiantly wasn't going to stick around to hear them talk about depressing pasts and homework. Two things he detested the most which was what led him to mischief to keep his mind off all the crappy shit in his life.
Sam nodded his head at Colin and his eyes dulled a little more watching his brother walk away alone again. But he turned back to Matt with a cheery smile on his face. "That's what I was thinking as well" he headed back into the living room and pulled out a couple of books. "I was in the library researching, trying to find the best way to present this project" he spread the books across the floor and started to trifle through his notes.

Matt watched Colin disapear upstairs. " Take it talks of school isn't his thing?" He asked Sam. Picking up one of the books Sam placed on the ground he read the title. " Interesting." He said then began to flick through the book.
Her father had supposedly grounded her for life. Boy did he have a lot to learn about being a parent Tillie thought to herself as she opened her window. As the breeze hit her knees she tugged her skirt up even higher leaving nothing to the imagination as she climbed out. Her mother had all of it sorted. Locked windows etc, maybe he'd have to take a tip from that old hag. Dusting of her hands she grinned triumphly. Sweet. Now what was she going to do. Tony and Jay had spoken of a mall. Things like that she couldn't remember about the town. Oh well she'd just have to find it herself.
Phone in hand she texted Matt. ' Mattykins where are you?' Knowing he hated the name brought a soft giggle out of her lips.
Phone buzzing Matt glanced down at the recieved text. " Mattykins. What the hell?" He thought out loud. Shaking his head he turned looked at Sam. " Two seconds. " Dialing Tillie's number he waited for her to answer. " So what happened are you ground Til?" He asked. " Yeah supposedly. He hasn't locked the window though. I'm going to the mall want to come?" She asked her brother. " Just don't get caught at the mall seriously." He said. Talking with her for a few more mins he then said good bye hanging up. Impossible really how Tillie's mind work was a damned mystery to him.

Sam gave him a small smile “No not really. He gets his done when he has nothing to do but other than that he doesn’t do anything extra anymore” he picked up another book and started to read through again and wrote down a few more notes. He knew no matter what they did they would be getting an A cause they were probably gonna be the only ones to actually finish their project and before their time was up. But he still pressed on putting in as much effort as he would any project with little effort.
Colin walked in and shut the bedroom door and walked over to his computer turning it on then he walked over to his closet changing his shirt and getting comfortable. He sat down at his computer quickly typing in a few commands and receiving a pleasant ding in the process. He only had a few more strings to pull and a few more calls to make and then Tillie was going to regret ever having stepped on his toes in his school.

" That's a shame." He commented. Taking notes he looked at Sam. " If there's anything I'm forgetting please point it out. I studied like crazy at lunch and i'll go home and reflect on the notes i'm taking now of course, but you'll be ahead of me. You've already started the topic." Re-reading one of the notes he took he decided to turn his phone off. That'd definitely save Tillie and his father from harassing him.
Tillie stood by the busy road and rather then wait for the traffic lights decided to j walk. With glee she watched as a car slammned on it's brakes narrowly avoiding her. With a giggle she flipped the woman the finger then raced over to the mall. It hadn't been that hard to find and she hadn't even had to ask for directions. Feeling accomplished she walked through the automatic doors
Now what decent shops would a small town mall have? Frowning she looked around. It wasn't very big and it wasn't very busy. This really did suck. " Hey Tillie I see you finally made it to the mall." Turning her head she spotted Jay and Troy standing with a group of older guys. Now that was her scene. With a nod of her head she walked over to the group instantly smelling the weed they were smoking. Definitely her kind of fun.
" I want some of that." She informed one of the guys. " Dude I wouldn't. She's off limits." Frowning she looked at Jay curiously. " What do you mean i'm off limits?" She demanded. Jay gave a shrug of his shoulders. " Your the chief of polices daughter for one, and Colin also said to stay away from you. No guy here wants to lose their balls thanks." He was kidding right? Arms folded over her chest she stared at Troy. " What your going to not talk to me now?" She asked. Troy shook his head. " No. Here's a smoke." Giving Jay a look that clearly said shut up he lit the smoke for Tillie. " Guys this is Tillie." He said introducing her to the group.

Sam nodded his head though he didn't think that Matt was too far behind him. He just knew what to expect from some classes and would already start on things even before the teacher would assign the homework. He was about to get started on another book when he heard the front door open. "Boys?" Sam got to his feet and greeted his grandmother at the door. "How was your day Meme?" "It was good, a bit long and tiring but I got a lot done" "That's good. Is there anything I can do for you so you can relax?" She shook her head no as she headed into the kitchen with Sam right behind her. "Where's your brother? Not out making problems for us is he?" Sam couldn't help but smile, though he knew she wasn't joking about his brother it was just the way that she said it "No Meme, he's in his room" her face lit up a little and she looked at him with a shocked expression. "Really, actually doing homework" Sam shrugged his shoulders and she shook his head and Sam turned to walk back into the living room to get back to work. "Dinner will be done in about an hour" she called to him "Is it alright is Matt stays for dinner?" He inquired and then his grandmother was at the entrance to the living room "Sure that's fine, any other guest?" Sam shook his head no and she walked back to the kitchen. Sam forgetting to introduce them to each other went back to his books and notes as if nothing new had happened.

Matthew looked up as Sams grandmother entered the house. Tilting his head he studied her quietly trying to see if he could remember the woman. Drawing a blank he shrugged. Well no point forcing his memories they'd come back in due time.
Invited for dinner he was about to protest and say he couldn't before realising his fathers house was still the last place on earth he desired to be. " I don't remember her." He said to Sam. " Though something about her is triggering other memories of you and Colin."

Sam looked up at Matt with a puzzled expression at his comment and then smiled trying to stay positive about his situation "She wasn't around much when my parent's were still alive cause my mother and grandmother didn't get along that well" he stated and returned to his book trying to suppress the old memories that were coming up. He didn't blame Matt, it was a legit thing to say and he didn't know so Sam wasn't going to hold it against him.
Colin heard the front door open and didn't care to get up to see who it was. He was in his own world at the moment and was trying to find out where Tillie was at the moment. His first little prank he was going to pull was going to be soon and the fact that he wanted to get out of the house soon. He could only stand to be there for a little bit, he knew his grandmother and brother meant well but he just didn't want to drudge up the past right now. It was still too soon for him to want to deal with it.

Matthew instantly realised what he'd said was the wrong thing. With an apologetic look he scanned through the notes he'd taken from the library. " Hey man i'm sorry." He said softly. Like he hated his parents but didn't wish them dead

His brain was starting to hurt so he put his book down and his notebook. Sam was almost done for the day, he wasn't sure how much more he was going to take. He was still a guy who like to have fun and wasn't going to waste all of his time studying. "It's cool man. I mean we all have hard lives right" he offered up and then walked out of the living room to grab a couple more sodas. "It smells great Meme" she gave him a simple smile and went back to her cooking. He just laughed as he walked out of the kitchen. "Here ya go" he said handing Matt another soda "so why don't we take a break and do something else for a bit. Can't fry the brain too much" he said laughing as he plopped down on the couch.

He gave a nod of his head in agreement. Yes that was only to true. As Sam walked into the kitchen he could only agree. The smells coming from there were mouth watering, his grandmother must be a good cook. " Cheers." He said.
It was nice here he realised. Almost the exact oposite to the homes he and Tillie had lived in. " A break sounds nice. My brain is already fried though. Catching up on a months worth of school work and a new curiculum has really killed me." He said. Taking a sip of his soda he closed the books then stuff the note book he had into his bag then zipped it up quickly.
As he moved to sit on the couch he was kind of curious as to what Tillie would be doing. She's probably already found the local dealer by now. Shaking his head he sighed. " Drugs aren't big in that school are they?" He asked. " I'm kinda worried Tillie's already found a supplier though."

Colin cleared out his history and stuffed his phone into his pocket then walked out of his room closing the door behind him. He walked downstairs whistling, he almost had everything ready for little miss Tillie and he couldn't wait for it to play out and he would just sit back and watch her squirm. "Oh Colin dear could you help me" he heard his grandmother call and he just rolled his eyes. He grabbed the pot of noddles off of the stove and dumped the pot of hot water and boiled noddles into the strainer "Thank you dear. Where are you off too? Dinners almost done" "Just put some in a container for me. I'll be back later" he said headed for the front door "Not too late now Colin it is a school night however" he just waved her off.
"And where are you going brother?" Sam got to his feet and stepped in front of Colin's path and if Colin hadn't been in a good mood he probably would have decked his brother "No where that's any of your business" he sneered at him and Sam stared him down "It wouldn't happened to have anything to do with one of our old friends...would it?" Colin shrugged his shoulders and side stepped to get away from his brother "maybe, maybe not" he said and left the house. Sam ran a hand through his hair shaking his head and walked back into the living room and picked up the tv remote "I am so sorry" Sam said to Matt not elaborating any further.

Really finding a dealer out of that group hadn't been to hard. They were after all a shady bunch of characters. Rolling a joint with her fingers she grinned slightly happy at the package she had in her back pocket. God she couldn't wait to see her fathers face when she was high as a kite at his house. Chief of police was going to be in for a killer of a shock.
Leaning forward on one hip she took a drag. " So you hang out here everyday yeah?" She asked. A regular supplier in the same spot would be bloody well helpful for her. " Yeah babe." One of the guys answered. " Don't you have jobs?" A wink in her direction confirmed she'd just helped one guy with his job while the others then told her about their various jobs or told her they went to school with her. " So you were also in my english class?" She asked one of the guys unsure she'd heard right. " Yeah I sit at the back with these guys and Colin." Interesting. " You made the teacher cry." With a shrug of her shoulders she looked at him unphased by his words. " So. My heart bleeds for her. Really next time I'll give her fifty cents. Tell her to call someone who cares."
Matt looked up as Colin walkedd down the stairs whilsting to himself looking quite to happy about something. Curious he watched the exchange between the two brothers. An old friend...? Frowning he looked hard at Colin. He didn't mean Tillie did he. His words didn't help ease the feeling that it was her they were discussing. As Sam spoke confirming his fears he watched Colin leave the house. " What will he do to my sister?" He demanded some what angrily. What should he do chase after Colin and threaten to beat the crap out of him?
