Atrious thought about it for a second. " No- I was not permitted there...The arch mage said my father had asked that I stay away from ruins- I still don't know why but it was a request the arch mage follows to a T." He took another deep swing of his drink- it almost empty, his head was swimming. " I just don't understand why that stupid elf wants to follow a dead man's words? Its not like he wasn't already crazy to begin with...So why would he follow this if everything else was shunned off to him being crazy?" He ranted a bit- confused about this- his mind was heavy on his father when he drank since he used to drink so he could actually think straight besides all the potions and spells he knew.

Neve listened to him rant about the arch mage not letting him in ruins and the bit about his father being dismissed as crazy. She got to her feet and placed a hand on the bottle, taking it from him. His world were slurring and she could see in his eyes that his brain could be sloshing around him there at this point. "Perhaps its because he's right. Ever think that maybe people tend to call others crazy to cover up truths." She said , wanting to calm his irritation over this. "But we'll find out what's in store.Though I have to admit, Ruins aren't my forte either.." she said not wanting to get to get too personal on her level. "Atrious don't drink yourself sick. We do have a long ride in the morning..." She warned lightly.

Atrious scowled at her when she took his mead." I already make myself sick." He said standing up, slowly so he didn't fall over. He left his tent- his Vials there on his bed side- they were by the small heating charm he had activated to keep them liquid. He left his tent and went into the woods wanting a bit of alone time now. A few trees in he bent over puking his guts up. His stomach having enough of the liquid. Dry heaving hurt but he figured he deserved it- when he was drunk he felt more self loathing about not having a mother in this plain of existence-and his father died before he could do much. His father left him- abandoned him for his job- to his death he simply shoved him off on some one else. He felt worthless another reason he slept around a bit to get some sense of self esteem however he hadn't recently because he wasn't in a place to- not to mention he wasn't in the mood. Usually drinking straightens him up a bit however- it makes his mind rather raw and sober on his emotions.

Neve jumped lightly at his scowl, her look softening at his words. "Atrious--!" She tried to to follow but she tripped on the palett and landed back down. She watched the tent flap catching the wind and she gave a worried frown. "What was that about?" She muttered before her face hardened a bit and she looked to his potions he was keeping warm. She took an empty vial off his belt and proceeded to grab a ninroot and some of the dragons tongue flower. She went out to the men and snatched milk from the stores before they could protest. She slammed to the vial down pouring some milk into it and snapping the ninroot, allowing the honey sweet nectar to drop into it, before tossing the crumbled up petals of the flower into the mix that gave it a spiced bite. This was Aisha's remedy for hang overs. It wasn't perfect but it did help to settle the stomach. the freezing tempuratures outside would keep it fairly fresh for him till he decided to be social again... She stormed out of the tent, not even knowing why she was mad. She went back to her tent and saw Markus there about to speak to her. For some reason that made her even angrier. She cut him off with a raised hand, her pissed look making his brows furrow in confusion. "What's the matter? Have another little quarrel with your mage?" He caught her wrist and she shot him a pointed look. "Let go of me unless you want me to feed you your teeth." She hissed and instantly Markus recoiled, releasing her wrist and letting Neve slip into her tent to sleep off her anger....no agrivation...no frustration....no....actual concern for that dark minded little mage....

Falling on his ass, lean leaning up against a tree trying to catch his breath. He hated throwing up, it made his throat raw but he needed that pain to bring him back to reality- like a check. He walked back to his tent a bit after when he was too cold to sit there any more. Going into his tent - he noticed a vial had been moved and there was a new potion mixed cold- he looked at it- uncorking it he sniffed it, identifying the ingredients and finding it harmless- he downed it. The collapsed on his bed passing out in the slightly warmer space.

Neve woke at around dawn to a similar dream as the one the night before, however this time she found herself alone and without a distraction. It was cold and the furs she had used to keep warm didn't seem to be enough. She found that this time she wasn't feeling consticted however, though the dark mood persisted. 'What was Atrious so upset over?' She thought before she shook her head. The man had his right to brood so she would leave him be. It wasn't her place to bother him. She got to her feet and dressed her armor back properly before she went out into the cold. The men were mostly awake and milling about. She stopped to take food to her horse, deciding it was best to start her morning buttering up to the pack animal that would be carrying her today. She had probably just ruined the relations between two men at this point so she had to damage control some how. "Stupid men..." She muttered, offering the horse a half of an apple. It snorted at her and hit her chin with its muzzle affectionately.

Atrious woke up feeling a bit better- what ever he had taken last night- worked on keeping his head from ringing. He got up and dressed properly, packing everything up and walking over to his horse- finding Neve there feeding her own horse. " Good morning...Thank you- and please forgive me....I was drunk last night." He said a bit quiet but he was making sure he apologized for his actions since he was rude after all.

"Speak of the devil." Neve muttered to the horse, petting its nose and jaw as Atrious approached. He greeted her, then thanked her, then apologized, in that order. What he thanked her for she was unsure. She suposed he must have found the tonic then? And the apology gained him a half smile. "I could tell...At least you aren't a boorish drunk. You were actually quite talkative." She said before tossing him the other half of the apple. "Now make sure the animal eats so we can go get something for our own stomachs." She gave him a once over glance. "I take it Aisha's remedy worked? You're lucky I remembered it from practice." She said only a light nudge at scolding and admitting she was no stranger to bad behavior with alcohol.

He took the apple and fed it to his horse along with some grains he got from a bag. It nuzzled his hand to get to the apple first. " It did." He smirked at her about the comment knowing what it meant. He figured as much- he was very talkative thats what got him in trouble so much.

Neve let things with the horses and Atrious settle before she moved back to camp to grab something to eat. Markus made a point of showing her he was mad at her outburst last night but she gave in to her better nature and didn't quite apologize but gave him mild pleasantries till he got over it and took a sat with her. he discussed the mountain passes and a few of the places they would need to pass through to get to Dawnstar. That was where they would go their separate ways, though Markus seemed keen on convincing her otherwise. Neve listened to him speak of Solitude and the home he had made there however she made certain to make a point that she had no intentions of persuing a familiar state anywhere and that she much preferred travel to being stationary. He didn't seem to listen much and went on to compliment her in a way that rather paled in comparison to Atrious' s. By the time it was time to leave, she had already eaten a couple apples, since she was staying of anything too heavy for the ride. She took to grabbing a few things here and there from her tent as she packed it away and she stumbled across the dagger and a few of the scrolls she had picked up back at the bandit hideout. She skipped over to find Atrious and presented them to him. "I don't know what the papers are for but the dagger will come in handy. I've decided you need at least something for close range just in case things get rougher." She said, offering I'm the small ornate looking thing agenda plucked out of the bandit leader' s space.

Atrious was just off into the wooded area by the horses picking more ingredients. He had found some more mountain flowers. When he heard Neve approach he stopped and looked up, he had a handful of little blue flowers. His eyes went to the scrolls she had and had a curious face. However about the dagger he smirked," Might save me in vials...less I have to break- however I don't know how to use one..." He admitted a bit quietly. He was only trained in magic- not weapons- hell he didn't even know how to properly throw a punch. Sighing he took the dagger and tucked it in his belt line, by his vials for easy access. His eyes then went to the scrolls, wondering what they were. Looking over the first ones he knew they were crap however the last one that was wrapped with a bit of leather with a carved stone on the end of it looked rather interesting. It had a rune for Conjuration on it that was carved in stone- that made him smile. He was anxious to open it- Sliding the leather off he rolled it open to show someones neat scrawled words across the page.
'I finally found it! I have made you a copy of the stolen Tome. That idiot sleeps like a rock- wouldn't hear a hoarker if it was in bed with him. I can give you little information- the book it almost useless- here are the words and you are going to love what it summons...Give it a try- but please brother...make sure its when no one you don't trust is around- its not safe.'
Looking down below it he saw some more page rolled up- they were torn from a book. That made him frown- some one had ripped a perfectly good conjuration tome. Looking over the page his eyes went wide," No wonder there was caution... Its a summoning spell for something. particularly nasty." He looked to Neve a smile on his lips-"This is amazing find-thank you- This is immensely increase my library of conjurations. I appreciate it. I'll work on that new weapon spell for you. Since you got me this - I need to repay you." He said in a cheery voice- that had just made his entire trip so far worth all its trouble.

Neve noticed his lack of experience with the dagger just by the way he held it. She could fix that however, if it was just minor combat she could at least teach him how to keep people off of him till his spells could go into effect. Before she could offer he was already entranced in one of the scrolls, the one with the pretty carved rock on it. She had grabbed it, thinking it was something valuable till she realized it was only a scroll. She had no use for wirtten things that held no signifigance for her. She knew how to read, though the Khajiit never taught her, she just didn't like to. His excitement over the scroll was only understandable to her when he said it could be used to summon something dangerous. She raised a brow looking at the paper. How could paper give him the ability to do that? She smiled lightly when he said he would work on her specialty weapon spell and she nodded. "Yay! I can't wait! Bu-u-ut also I want to help you with your fighting too. Just a bit of sparing practice when we get a chance." She said with a nod as if that were the only way to go about this. Neve heard her name being called and then Atrious's and she gave him a bright smile. "Let's go before we get left in the snow." She said before heading over to where the horses were to get going.

" Alright- we can spare- but only when we are done with these nords..." He didn't want ot make a fool of himself so they didn't trust him to be reliable in a fight- if one arose. Shoving the scrolls into his saddle bag for later he hopped up on his horse and followed Neve. They were traveling a bit all day- he however didn't stop to pick ingredients today- there wasn't any- it was mostly rocks...Rocks can't make potions- unless they had void salts....and that was very unlikely.

"Fair enough." Neve told him before they had to get going. The path for the day was long, spanning over the rocky ridges and watery swamps. She let her horse avoid the deeper puddles, the animal seeming uneasy till they finally hit a road. Markus ordered that they follow the road though Neve felt better traveling off of it. It was much safer off roads since bandits had a harder time ambushing you. "Look at all these ruins...forgotten peices of old skyrim..." she muttered as she glanced at an old decrepit wall that used to belong to some sort of building. "These pieces are better left forgotten. Skyrim is growing into a thriving nation that doesn't need its past to dwell on." Markus told her almsot sneering at the way the ruins blocked their path and they had to go around them. Neve looked slightly off put by the comment, though she quickly quelled the feeling. She looked ahead and saw a bridge, her hopes rising. "Look, we must be near a town." She said kicking her horse to push it to move forward quicker. Markus told her Morthal was nearby, but that they had no reason to stop there. The place was run by 'black magic' and wasn't safe to linger in as of late something she didn't quite understand.

Atrious didn't like the comment made by Markus about the ruins of the past- he thought they were important. Oh If his father heard him- he would have lectures him till his ears bled. He stayed quiet however was a. It more respectful if the ruins then the Men had been. He saw Neve take off from the troop and he hastened his horeW to catch up, he didn't want to be left behind. Once they got into town there were some burnt houses and a very sober feeling there. He didn't think he liked this place.
