Races:
Humans: very nordic looking and still very rough around the edges this race has just made its steps out of tribes and into actually civilization. They have small towns and even a few cities, but they are constantly at war with each other over power and money.
Kelvic: they are a very spiritual race, they are connected to other living creatures and have 2 souls from birth, their animal spirit and their Kelvic spirit. They are Human like but have distinctive characteristics of whatever animal they can shift into, larger eyes or slanted pupils, even fangs or scaled skin have been seen on Kelvics in their human state. They are a pure earthly spirits that are born from the earth and look for companionship throughout their extremely long lifetimes. They are very naïve to the wills of men as it is not in their nature to act the way humans do. They tend to be either all white or all black, which makes them very distinctive to other creatures and there can only be one in each species.
History:
The world is at war, but with humans what do you expect? Their kingdoms are constantly fighting one another over land and status. Right now is civil war of sorts. The kingdom to the north has been enslaving the lesser creatures to work as pets, hunting them for their rare and expensive pelts and bones, and taking them captive to own as pets for the Humans of that kingdom, while the southern Human kingdom thinks that they should be free, they look at kelvics as the children of the earth who are naïve and should be protected.
Character:
Name: Vicaro
Age: 257 yrs old
Race: Kelvic- Rabbit
Appearance: Vicari in her Kelvic human state is small, around 5’5 and looks around 18-23ish with long white hair, her distinctive features would be the rabbit tail, and short white fur that covers her feet and partially up her legs. As a rabbit she is very large, almost 20lbs, and has large erect ears with piercing blue eyes.
Personality: she is a light hearted spirit who is inquisitive and loving. She is fond of other prey animals, or people in distress. She loves to play games even if she doesn’t fully understand their meaning. History: Being a very old soul Vicari has gone through many different lifestyles. She was once bonded to a deer, and they spent its entire life together. After the deer passed away Vicari had a run in with humans at a very early stage. A young boy who patted her head and gave her food. She always thought of them as kind after that, but didn’t like the business of their cities enough to venture in one. She lived on a farm for a while with people who took her as a sign that their harvest would be bountiful. Vicari was grew very ill though and had to return to the spirit springs at the heart of the mountain to recover. This is her first journey out since then.
---------------------------------------------------------
Vicari stretched her arms and legs out with a long groan as her eyes fluttered open. She yawned slightly and sat up looking around her. The forest seemed so quite this morning. She stood up her long white hair brushing against the swell of her back as she ran her fingers through it. “now… what to do for breakfast…” she said to a little bird who landed on a branch near her. Vicari twitched her nose and let out a little wiggle of her tail before hopping down into her animal form. A brilliantly white rabbit. She hopped forward finding herself at the edge of a farm. Shimming under the fence she headed right for the vegetables taking a big bite out of some crispy lettuce. Not even noticing the man coming up behind her. Vicari felt the hair stand up on the back of her neck and she bolted forward, but not fast enough. A big wooden box smashed down on her head and everything went black. When she came to she was in a wooden cage on the back of a wagon in some type of bustling market place. Vicari’s tiny bunny heart was racing at all the loud noise and yelling, she had never been to a place that was so noisy and full of people. Her crate lifted up and she was set on a counter while the farmer and the owner of the shop then negotiated on price. Vicari looked around frantically trying to make eye contact with someone. She saw a cloaked figure started to walk by and she let out a tiny meep. The figure stopped and from across the alleyway looked in her direction. She stood on her hind legs her front paws pushed against the cage bars to try and see over the people if that cloaked figure would come her.

❝ | ...The night you gave the world for me was the night I vowed to follow you until my own end... | ❞ |
Aloof and determined was what he was. He knew he couldn't do much to change how they were treated however when it got to be just before him his soft heart bleed. This was an everyday occurrence that he found offensive in a way but there was no way to stop it. The man there was a man who only saw them as property to have a profit made of. Today was a market trade day so it wasn't just money being traded but products for products however Klevics were part of that trade it seemed, a higher priced market but still. He was out and about with out Svea today as she wished to stay in since she had a headache this morning from allergies or so he assumed. She got those often every year about this time. A cloak was over his head to hid his cat like ears that poked up out of his black curly mess of hair. He stood about adverage for the humans' in the crowd, seemingly a bit more lanky however since he was a slim cat in all honesty. He was a Klevic and many didn't let him forget his station in life here, the only one who did was his owner who was kindhearted. His soft green eyes scanning the vendors looking for what he was sent out to get honestly, looking for something to help his friends headache. A tea that could be sweetened with a bee's honey was his main focus that was until he heard a small noise- a small scared cry for help. He did his best to simply pass by however it was weighing terribly on his heart as he thought of this poor poor creature in the hands on some one who would treat them badly.
Mauro took a deep breath, feeling himself relax as he focused his eyes on the white rabbit there. It wanted out of the cage and to was obviously scared to be there. He glanced behind him in the alley to see if he was alone before he decided to take a moment to think of a plan. his heart rate picked up a bit as he thought of the thrill of doing something he wasn't supposed to, the thoughts of the rumors it would cause. 'Would it cause problems for Svea? Would she be alright with me doing this?' He thought a few seconds on that before smiling more to himself before locking eyes with the rabbit before crossing the small area to the vendors stall. "I'll pay gold for the rabbit-final sale sir. My lady wishes it done so." he said putting his own purse of money down, gold clinking about in the bag. He said it in a slightly submissive tone since he was a second class citizen in this situation but at least he was part of a high class family, meaning he got out of most trouble for his owner's sake. "I can offer you double what this man is paying. Please sir." He tried to persuade him with a slight smile since he was doing his best to behave and not get a bit catty with the man.

The vendor looked over from his conversation and down at the bag of gold, he looked at the petty farmer who had a large smirk on his face "- take weeks to sell eh?" the farmer huffed at the vendor who scowled at him "kid you have a deal! It's your problem now!" the brute farmer threw the cage door key at Mauro haphazardly grabbing the gold bag and hurrying out of the market before Mauro could change his mind. the vendor on the other hand glared at Mauro "-fuck you and your master you fithly little shit! get out of my stall!" he growled shoving the cage that had vicari in it off the counter letting it slam on the ground.
Vicaris head banged against the side of the cage and she felt her vision blur for a moment. her heart was racing from the events that happened and she didnt yet know if they were in her favor. she sensed that the one who bought her was a Kelvic, but a not a prey animal, and in her world it didnt matter if you were a kelvic if an animal was hungry it would try to eat you. she reached her little white paw out of the cage to try and pull the key towards her but she was seeing 3 keys dance around and ended up just pawing at the air. "aaarrr....." she groaned folding her ears back in pain and frustration.

The farmer couldn't' resist as was obvious by his haste to get out of the area before he could change his mind. He had been saving that bag of money for one day to buy Svea something nice for when she got married, wanting her to have the best, since he cared for her. The stall vendor was however livid about the exchange that wasn't in his favor, which showed by his poor sportsmanship of shoving the poor animal off the table- as well as his abusive language. Mauro didn't feel the need to respond since it would only get him in trouble, so he let it be and turned his attention to the cage. He tried to catch the cage before it fell but he failed at that as he moved away to catch the key before the cage fell. He noticed the tiny paw going in the main direction of the key on the ground by the cage however it was way too far left to get close. Kneeling he scooped up the key in his left hand and the cage in his right. Mauro wasn't harsh with his handling of the cage since he was used to being treated well, so why shouldn't a poor creature get any less treatment form him? He stalked back towards the alley way he had began at, glancing about to see if anyone was following him- seeing none he went into the alley way, slinking along the shadows there from the mid morning sun that was cast by the houses and stores about. Once away from the markets proper, Mauro stopped and set the cage gently down on a barrel that looked to hold some apples and perhaps potatoes. Personally he wouldn't have minded taking a few fish from a fish barrel but they were a little far from the coast. Taking the key be looked it over before glancing into the cage wondering exactly he was going to do. He just spent a lot of gold on another being- be is man or beast and it felt strange to him. his pale eyes went to the rabbit in the cage and he frowned. "I'm sorry others are too unkind. Not everyone is so here." He said with a reformed smile as he expected this creature to understand. He felt it was a bit more then it looked but in the small cage it had to be just so to ensure it would survive- he understood that. Svea preferred him in his cat form when traveling to avoid space problems- he however preferred that was well since it was nice to sun bath in her lap.

when the cage was lifted Vicari pushed herself into one of the corners and watched as they disappeared from the majority of the commotion into the darker alley. when she was set down her fur settled slightly. he didnt seem to want to hurt her at that moment but she still felt tense. "I dont- um..." she started to mumble but then stopped as the room started to spin. she felt warmth against her back tricking from behind her ear and her eyes fluttered closed. her white fur was rapidly turning red just behind her ear where she had smacked into the cage siding.

Mauro's eyes focused on the changing colors of the fur, noticing how red it had become by the creatures ear making him frown. He opened the cage when he noticed it's eyes had sunk closed so he knew it wouldn't struggle. Slowly opening the cage, the rabbit didn't struggle as he pulled it out of the dark area and next to himself perhaps staining his shirt but it was worth it if the creature didn't die. He left the cage there, the key included since it was of little use to him anyhow and left through the alley further to a more residential district. He had carefully applied pressure to the place where the fur was changing colors to perhaps stop some of the bleeding, as he moved through the street, no one really bothering to look at him. Mauro easily got threw the gated areas that lead to the more upper class family homes, since he was a pet that was recognized well enough. Mainly since his skin was darker then the nords completely, but he didn't mind the difference since Svea didn't seem to mind. Finding their residence was easy enough as he skipped threw the gate towards the animal pen where the gardener was, who also knew a bit about animals since he cared fro the oxen there in the reach. The man glanced up at him as he offered him the rabbit which made him frown and take off his leather gloves before taking the abused looking creature. "Where did you find this one?" he asked quietly as to not startle the animal, making Mauro frown as there was a slight accusatory tone behind the quietness of it. "The market- the shop owner shoved the poor thing off the counter and got hit around in the fall. I didn't do that." he said with a bit of a catty tone with the man knowing the cat wasn't lying since he was cooping an attitude. Glancing over at the rabbit, Mauro wondered exactly if he could help it. The man nodded and placed the rabbit on his work bench before starting to clean and address the wound. It wasn't too severe, perhaps to the rabbit it might seem but it wasn't fatal. The ear was cleaned and wrapped with a slight compression before the man took it inside the garden area and let it rest since it would be more comfortable there no doubt when it rose. He told Mauro to leave it alone in case he did decide to eat it. He had only done that once and he was made to spit out the mouse- besides the mouse was still alive and they played with each other often in the barn in the lower sections of town. Doing as he was told he went inside, more to tell Svea of what he did today in case it caused repercussions later.

Vicari's limp body twitch slightly and her eyes blinked open. some time had passed because there was no more sunlight and the air felt a bit cold. the second she noticed she was no longer caged she sprung up on her human feet looking around where she was. a feeling of relief washed over her "im not dead" she muttered with a big smile "but where... am i?" she looked down at the garden and let her nose twitch a little. she hesitantly reached down and pulled a tomato from the stem taking a bite out of it like an apple, she slowly walked over to the window and peered in. Vicari felt the warmth from the fireplace against the class of the window and heard sounds coming from a few rooms inward of the room she was looking in. pulling away from the window she contemplated her options. stay and see what happens, or run as fast as she could back to the mountain and never leave again. the second had the most appealing resolution to her. she looked at the stone buildings and fenced in yard and felt unsettled. she remembered the farm boy tell her about the city and how it was incredibly dangerous. vicari paced in the garden for a while trying to remember everything she had been told of this place. but no escape route came to mind. first of all she would need to look more human. she walked into the stable and found very large work boots. much too big for her feet but she pulled them on anyway to hide her furry legs, oh how she hated shoes. they made the fur mat down and itch terribly. she then took a big cloth sheet that was thrown over one of the horses stall doors and wrapped it around herself. not very stylish... but it hide her better then running around naked with boots on. she took a rope and tied it around her waste and shoulders pulling some extra fabric up to cover her head. slowly and clunkily she walked out of the garden and into the side street. luckily it was late enough at night that there was barely anyone on the roads. she took a step out onto the main sidewalk and looked both ways. "maybe... there is a map somewhere..." she clunked her way down the street before making it to a sign post. kicking herself for never learning to read vicari felt her heart sink a little "why are there never pictures??" she contemplated which squiggles looked more like trees then the other but they all just looked like weird scratch marks. she decided to just go left. it felt like the better option. she ended up making it to a bunch of doors with signs hanging over them. a fancy little market with little flower boxes in the windows. she plucked one of them and sniffed it before taking a small nibble of it. she always found that chewing on something calmed her nerves. turning the corner she saw a door with a sign that had a tree on it and she let out a sigh of relief "oh thank heavens" she walked up to the door and looked around "although i dont know how this leads to the forrest.. maybe it goes underground?" she peaked her head in the door to see a large crowded bar area, many of the patrons had been drinking for a while evident from the face down man on one of the tables. no one really noticed when she squeezed in the door and side stepped into the corner of the room. she stood there heart pounding in her throat but too petrified to move. "i should have stayed in the garden" she thought as a big man roared with laughter at something his friend said banging his fist on the table

A thunder of cheers and groans went over the inn, the rowdy group accumulating together around a space of cleared away tables near the back of the lower level's tavern. Men and women of varying backgrounds and sizes made up the mob of onlookers and drinkers, forming a mass rather than individuals at this point. In the center of the group was a large space, a make shift ring for a pair of Kelvic locked in a stand off. Though the levels of intimidation on each side of the circle were far too unbalanced for a real show. On one side, near a confident looking nobleman, stood a tall, dark imposing Kelvic with large horns, capped by gold ornamental shafts. His nostrils were flared in a very animalistic way, his bulky form supported by large hairy hooves and hands as big as his opponents face. His opponent was smaller in stature, a few heads shorter, with a pale complexion and white hair that trailed down his neck and shoulders raised in appreheansion. His stub like horns almost vanished in the rather messy locks, while a pair of ears that were flexed forward in attention were plainly visible. His eyes were on the larger side, almost completely black due to the large irises and the need for compensated periphery gaze. His physique was by no means scrawny but it was obvious he was no match hand to hand with the large bull Kelvic. However the Kelvics weren’t known for being especially violent to their own, not unless nature dictated. And even then it was not a completely pure decision. “Hirvi.” A voice came from his left side, a human man dressed for comfort siddled up next to him. His hair look a bit mussed from prior conflict and his grey-green eyes were squinted in what appeared to be concern that was etched on his face. “Are you sure you want to take that on? I don’t want you getting hurt.” He whispered loudly in his ear, making Hirvi flinch some at how harsh it sounded. “Halsten, you gave me no choice. You’re the one who started the argument in the first place--” “You mean you weren’t mad about him making fun of you over your horns? Well I read that situation poorly.” He gave a chuckle, clapping Hirvi on the shoulder hard enough to jostle him. Hirvi narrowed his eyes at Halsten, but hardly had time to comment before the owner of the bull spoke up. “Are you ready to show what that pathetic pet is capable of?” He chastised and the bull gave a snort-like chuckle in response. Hirvi’s expression turned bitter at being called a pet and being looked down upon, before he nodded to Halsten. “I can take him.” Hirvi muttered, eyeing the large Kelvic and looking for some weakness to exploit. No sooner had the words left his mouth, the large male pulled of his shirt, revealing muscles that Hirvi wasn’t even sure actually could exist. His ears slicked back in shocked anxiety, catching wind of Halsten muttering “shit…” under his breath. With a roar like noise, the bull charged at Hirvi head bowed to hit him with the horns. Hirvi shoved Halsten back, making sure he was safe in the crowd before he hit the floor in a roll out of the way. The bull slammed to a halt, nearly skittering into the audience with a confused look on his face as his head whipped round in search of Hirvi. Good, the behemoth was slow…Hirvi used the opportunity and kicked the bull in the ass, knocking him over into people scrambling out of the way. He narrowly missed a woman holding a flagon of ale and instead crushed a chair that had been in his way. Hirvi got to his feet as the bull stood back up again, dusting the splinters away as if nothing had fazed him. Hirvi prepared for another attack, this time waiting as the bull stepped forward and reached for him with lumbering arms. Hirvi ducked out of the way out of one grab, but felt the bull catch his shirt with one of his horns. It knock Hirvi onto the floor, tearing his shirt in the process down the back. The bull stepped over to him, towering over him in show of dominance before attempting to stomp on his chest with a hooved foot. Hirvi rolled out of the way, the foot denting the wood floor in cracks from the force. The bull wasn’t deterred and instead attempted to grab at Hirvi again. Hirvi quickly searched his surroundings and caught sight of a bottle nearby that a patron had dropped avoiding the bull. In a mad grab for the tool to use against the beast, he wrapped a hand around the neck and swung at the bull’s face. The bottle clocked the massive Kelvic, hitting him just right with a loud shattering thunk. The beast pitched forward, eyes rolling back and toppled over, leaving a stunned Hirvi sitting in place with his chest heaving from the fight. A roar of noise filled the bar, some cheers but mostly groans at the way their bets turned out. Halsten seemed to be the happiest that Hirvi got out of that alive and hurried over to him, helping him up off the floor. "Hirvi look at you--a stag worthy of a prize." Halsten cheered as he hoisted one of Hirvi's arms, garnering some support from those that had bitten the bullet and bet on the lean and unimposing Kelvic. Despite his appearance, Hirvi had shown potential to survive past his due. He wasn't the type to lay down and die. The attacker would have to fight the last breath from him. With a rather harsh glare, he pulled his hand away, muttering curses under his breath at the mess of violent human's. "Come off it Halsten. I only stooped to their level to keep you from getting skinned, you drunk lout." Hirvi hissed in a low tone, knowing his assumed place as a pet here would allow him no leniency in smacking the idiot over the head for getting himself in yet another fight. He understood the man had a hero-complex, but did he have to stick up for every sorry sod in a poor place? You'd have thought by now he would have realized scolding a Nobel on his treatment of his Kelvic pet would end poorly in the north. Not to mention that the man wouldn’t have a big head and pull Hirvi into a brawl with his Kelvic goon. But Halsten wasn't exactly one to let culture and accepted decorum stop him. "Well thank you my friend. I'd make an ugly pelt on some nobleman's floor." Hirvi looked at the man's smile, feeling a fondness for the idiot despite his lack of better judgment. Hirvi huffed before smiling and nodding at him, motioning towards a table. “Lets just sit and have a drink. My ass is bruised and I need to catch my breath…” Halsten nodded, though he did glance in the direction of the nobleman who just lost, his face read and spit coming from his mouth as he shrieked at the waking Kelvic. Halsten frowned, eyes narrowing at the man and for a moment he considered laying him flat. However, Hirvi grabbed his arm and shook his head. “I feel bad…” Halsten muttered, feeling a pained sympathy for the bull. The poor thing didn’t deserve harsh treatment. The moment that started the fight in the first place came from the poor thing getting beer thrown in it’s face over it being too hot. They dragged the poor beast off out of the bar, no doubt for a scolding... “I know. Leave it for later. A change will come soon enough. Now I’ll get the mead. You sit down and try not to stir problems with the locals. Deal?” Hirvi almost joked, making Halsten smirk. “No promises.” The Kelvic left to grab the drinks, leaving Halsten to his lonesome with a basket of bread that a woman had brought over. She had been passing flirty glances his way, talking to him occasionally about how she liked seeing strangers in her bar…they were interesting she said. If only she knew how interesting. Hirvi and him were only here for reconnaissance to see the towns that were small and had the least amount of military support. The North of course looked like a damn stone fortress, hardly penetrable. He wasn’t okay with this place, hence why he left. He was in the process of shoving some bread in his mouth when the door opened and in popped a woman, well an oddly dressed woman as white as snow. He ignored her, thinking that she was a friend of someone or just passing through. Instead she scooted into a corner, looking petrified and scared. He frowned, getting to his feet and went over to her. “Hey, darlin. You look a little lost. Is everything alright?” He asked, though the scary look on her face made him think quickly and he motioned back towards the table. “Um, not being weird or anything. But if you want you can join me and my friend for lunch. Drinks and bread on us.” He laughed a bit, a smile gracing his lips that was warm and comforting. He was a bit worried this woman was on the run from something, hiding out here. He didn’t exactly want to let her run out in town all alone, especially not looking so painstakingly obvious as off.

the scene from the fight had made her head start to spin, it was all so much to take in, why would two prey animals fight each other like that, and everyone screaming and bearing their teeth so menacingly. the only thing that snapped her back was a man who had walked into her field of vision "I- that is... its... not a forest..." vicari said looking over at the sign again, her eyes glanced up into his, they where as blue and icey as a clear winter day and looked straight into him "I am... Vicari, and if i could, a bit of water would be very lovely-" she pulled her hood down and a few long locks of white spiraled out with it, a few that where still stained with blood on the right side. "-its been a long day" she took a step forward the oversized boots shuffling and making awkward clunking noises as she stepped

Halsten blinked at her saying that this wasn't a forest, his attention then going to the sign. "Oh the tree. No no this is a bar--" He paused though at the explanation, figuring the woman should have known that by just reading the sign. Maybe she was a farmer's daughter. That was a horse blanket and he had a pair of boots similar to that when he was younger. Her eyes were rather lovely however haunting they were, almost as if she was able to stare into his soul. It kind of wigged him out a little, to the point he felt an awkward energy rise in him. She pulled off her hood, the white hair long and snow white. It was odd to say the least and reminded him some of Hirvi. "Ah nice to meet you Vicari. I'm Halsten--And--oh my god why are you bleeding?" The words tumbled out of his mouth before he could stop, since his mind caught up with the fact blood flecked her hair. The long day comment made him frown and he motioned for her to follow. "Look my friend can patch you up if you ask nicely. And sure water is fine. Anything else?" He babbled a little since he was wanting to understand why she was injured and looked so disoriented. That could account for her not understanding the sign maybe? He motioned for her to sit before he made a face. "May I?" He asked before moving her hair a little to get a look at the cut. It was definitely not deep enough to worry him as long as she kept it clean. Then again he had seen men at war die with less... "Damn it, Hal." A growl came from across from the table and Halsten looked up to see Hirvi, tapping his foot and looking annoyed two drinks in his hands. His eyes flicked to the girl and instantly his face smoothed, especially since she seemed out of place. He could almost smell it on her that she was an old spirit...But he digressed and kept his mouth shut. No need alarming the locals or Halsten's big mouth. "This better not be a charity case..." He scolded lightly and Halsten made a bit of a pout. "No! She's hurt. See Hirvi? Poor little lady just got a little lost. Heal her with that sparkly thing you do while I go get her some water." Hirvi was about to argue but Halsten was already on his way to the bar. He puffed out a sigh and sat by Vicari, his eyes narrowing some at the blood flecks in her hair. "Did a human do that to you?" He asked, his voice holding some resentment but not enough to warrant concern. He raised a hand, touching the side of her head softly. The spot shimmered with a dull green light before it faded, leaving her scalp partially mended. "at least that won't open up again. Now why are you dressed like that--" "Back with the water!" Halsten placed it in front of Vicari, a bright smile on his face. "See Hirvi, cute girl huh? I see you helped." He teased the old deer, making Hirvi shoot him a look before attending to his drink to stifle his meaner words in front of the Kelvic woman.

Vicari smiled slightly at the sweet words but when she looked at hirvis antlers and her smile instantly took over her face and she scooted a little closer "um well i was pushed off a counter but its ok i feel better thank you" when he leaned in to heal her she ran her fingers lightly against his antlers and his ear "i havent seen a deer kelvic in almost 200 years-" she started and then when halsten sat down she pulled her hand away and set them in her lap "I was told it was not ok to be natural here so i am borrowing these? oh! thank you" she lowered her voice a little and leaned in "is this not correct?" she said referring to her clothes. in her eyes she looked the same as everyone else in the room

Fingers kneading into her temples she worked on getting rid of the tension headache from her allergies. They got more severe during autumn with the falling leaves and last flower blooms- which always gave her aches and pains. A thought always passed her mind then this season came around about traveling south for the spring and autumn months to avoid allergies- though it confuse Mauro perhaps with the differences in culture. The door creaked open accompanied by the sound of soft feet, she didn't turn to look however knowing who it was.The light pressure of his feet carefully testing her legs to see if it was alright to climb into her lap, she moved her blanket to allow him a warm space there next to her, which he gladly took however he was always heavier then she expected. He probably weighed about forty pounds- unlike how small he looked though when standing as a cat he was about waist height to her. She reached down and stroked his fur in a calming manner getting a purr from him before he nuzzled into her hand a bit more enjoying the calming attention. "What has you so clingy today Mauro? Did you see something bad in the markets?" She asked him to perhaps get a response form him, though he was quiet a few moments. "I may or may not have spent my savings on a Kelvic who was trapped in a cage. It was asking for help- I couldn't stand by." He said in his defense knowing he was a bleeding heart for those in pain and asking for help. However if they were his prey- she felt bad for them since he was stubborn on a hunt. Svea pursed her lips in thought as he defended his words which made her nod in response. "Alright Mauro my love. You don't have to explain yourself to me. You know I will defend you, just let me know who is going to break down our door first." She said in a teasing tone which made him nip her finger in his aggravation. A giggle bubbled from her knowing Mauro was just up tight over the trouble comments since he hated causing her trouble though it was often he did. Never intention however it sort of happened when he was a bleeding heart for a predator, it made her giggle some days how he was taken down a peg by a much smaller cat, thought he never felt a reason to fight unless she got involved. He was very flexible with his pride as well as she had come to find out early since he used to be so touchy with things until she told him he wouldn't be alone, which he seemed to take to heart. Most cat breeds weren't clingy or even emotions towards their owners- unless hostile- however she had Mauro since he was a small kit- she taught him everything. To read, write, even how to speak. He was her best friend as well making his constant company a comfort to her. Svea was brought out of thought when Mauro spoke again," Your not mad are you?" He asked in a quiet tone, his ears flat as he laid almost unsure in her lap. She stroked his fur gently along his back and gave him a smirk," Even if I were it wouldn't matter, though I am not. Is the creature alright?" She asked since she didn't know much about this new Klevic that Mauro had brought into the area. He gave a quiet purr before allowing her to pet him a bit more before focusing enough to speak. "We put them out in the garden space so to not frighten it. The rabbit that is, a pretty white one. The old man thought I did it in." He said his ears back again with a scowl like look on his cat like features. Svea knew he and the gardener didn't always see eye to eye but then again, not many treated their Kelvic like she did. He was spoiled and sheltered for the harsh society around them- though Kovic would have changed that. She missed the man honestly but his deep seeded hatred of Kelvics was too oppressing for her, she may have loved him but eh couldn't get over his hate.

Hirivi had to say he didn't exactly like the idea that she was being shoved off counters, but the idea that she was okay was at least redeemable. However her suddenly reaching out and touching his ears and antlers made him tense, mostly because he wasn't used to contact. Her news about not seeing a deer Kelvic made him breathe out in a sigh. It was true, very few were ever seen. He raised a brow at her comment about being told natural was bad. At least she learned that, but he had a feeling it had been a good 200 years since she had been in society. He luckily had Halsten there to help him, but she seemed to be on her own if she was thinking this was acceptable. A kelvic without an owner in the north, now that was dangerous. "Deer like their quiet." He said, though that was hardly true but was cut off by Halsten clearing his throat. "Don't be rude to her Hirvi. You're getting all serious again." Halsten warned since he saw the squintiness starting to form on Hirvi's expression. Hirvi leaned over a little, giving Halsten a nod and tried to look a bit softer. "It's a bit different. For one, that blanket has hay on it and smells of horse. The boots are also a bit big on you." He said, not rudely but point blank in his usual way. Halsten did give a nod at that since the deer was right. She looked like a hot mess, even with a pretty face. "Well I'm sure there is stuff around here you could choose from. Here take some of our--" When Halsten reached for the coin purse, Hirvi kicked him under the table, shooting him a daggered look of scolding. The man would give him the shirt off his back if he could and Hirvi wasn't having it. They needed that money to survive this trip in the North and Halsten couldn't be using it to help strays. "Anyways Vicari, was it?, I take it you aren't from the area, is there anyone you know here? Perhaps a friend or a person we could get you to?" Halsten asked and Hirvi gave her a small nod. "You're very far north at the moment..." He decided to fill her in since it was likely she didn't come here of her own free will.

Vicari looked down and wrinkled her nose a little pulling a piece of hay out of the blanket "well... it very large, but everyone here is very large." she thought about it "not really friends. the cat who bought me just left me in a garden. he seemed kind enough... but i know some cats mean to play with their food if you catch my drift. the only people i know are the Wiltons farm in the south, but that was a while ago i dont know if they would still be there.." she felt a little uneasy knowing that she didnt know anyone really and these two strangers were looking at her very awkwardly "maybe i should-" she stood up from her chair knocking into the waitress who was carrying 2 full trays. the cold suds ran down her back and made her yelp "oh no!" the lady turned seeing the red in her hair "oh no no no" she grabbed her hand "oh its ok im so sorry here come with me ill clean you up no need to get upset" she couldnt afford to get in trouble at work again this week. leading vicari to the room behind the bar away from the bustle of people. shutting the door behind her she turned "alright out of those wet clothes ill dry them out for you-" she said pulling the sheet off of vicari exposing her furry tail and legs "oh my god your a kelvic... oh my god you look expensive... oh shit... hey hey its ok right no need to tell your master about it? i really cant afford the charges for damages!" the women was talking to quickly vicari couldnt get a word in "oh hey look we will put you in my old uniform and it will be fine alright youll see, better then ever!" she walked to a dresser and pulled out a faded reddish floor length dress that had a tear up the side to about the knee "here this was my uniform it has a little tear on the bottom but its dry!" she said and tugged it over vicari's head "ah like a glove! youll be fine right just a little shaken it will be ok sweetie dont worry" vicari wiggled her toes pulling them out of the boots, it felt so good to have them out of the wretched shoes. "here we go its ok" the waitress said brushing the dried blood out of vicari's hair "no need to worry it looks like it barely scratched ya i dont even see a mark!" she pulled vicaris hair and braided it in an almost headband braid fashion to hold the hair out of her face "dont you look cute see im sure your master wont even notice he will think you look so darling so theres no reason to tattle on me is there?" she said patting vicari on the shoulder "ok great thanks so much love! ill be sure to send a round on the house over to you and your boys" the waitress said escorting vicari back out into the room and over to the table "hey look whos here and completely fine isnt that right sweetie! it was just a little cold let me get you guys some drinks huh on the house dont worry about it!" vicari felt the waitress force her down into her seat again and she sheepishly just nodded and then tried to say something but the women walked away "i... shoes..." she muttered and looked down at her furry feet before tucking them under her dress "this is much more uncomfortable then the sheet" she grumbled still feeling a little sticky from the beer

❝ | ...The night you gave the world for me was the night I vowed to follow you until my own end... | ❞ |
Body trembling, vision blurred by tears he watched as the body of the family Kelvic was killed, its body thrown out into the burning pits. Kovit couldn't stop the trembling- it was like he was shaking with so much pent up anger yet he felt sick, and upset. No one had explained anything about the house fire or where his parents were- much less why his mothers' Kelvic was being put to death. No one was talking to him, simply giving him pitiful looks and apologizing- he didn't understand- though he asked many others- no one had the heart to speak it seemed. He had been sent to his aunts who lived in the upper reaches of the city, he didn't know her well but she was his closest family to him now. She had no qualms with telling him exactly what happened, how his parents were massacred by the pet they loved so much. Their bodies left to burn in the house- the pet put down- she simply said 'good riddance'. The knowledge was a heavy burden for a child so young but in truth it made him stronger. He accepted his hatred for Kelvics due to his own family experiences- the loss of his parents the biggest factor in his life. Most things in his life that went wrong he blamed them for- including his future. He had a sweetheart, Svea, Pretty girl beautiful red hair and a nice smile. A good heart, a strong mind and a sweet personality was all he could have ever hoped for though her love for her family pet was something he couldn't get over. It didn't help that the Kelvic in question was once a pet of his own family- however it was found outside the house and his aunt made them sell it-it was sold to Svea's family. He didn't care for it much back then and he honestly hated it now- a constant reminder that his parents were dead because of a Kelvic's temper. His mind was wandering, the maid looking him over like he might strangle something- however when he sighed, he released his grip on the cup he had in hand, it gave a groan from the released pressure- leaving dents in the cup. "Sorry, I was thinking of something unpleasant." He said simply getting a nod from the maid who went about taking the dishes from before him on the table. He had a hard time sleeping lately since it was close to the anniversary of the fire, but he knew little could be done- all save taking his frustration out on others- as was usual this time of year. Kovit often spent time in the bar to drink away his anger though it never honestly helped- it just made him a bit more unaware of his anger. Fights were inevitable and so was his harsh treatment of any Kelvic that crossed his path. He knew thinking of the past was bad for his temper but he felt he had an obligation to think of the fear and uncertainty he felt that day, to remember why he hated those damned being so much...
