When she finally reached her room a servant came by shortly afterwards and brought her clothing. She thanked him and requested an audience with Prince Cear. She knew he would oblige her, knowing he liked her already since they thought alike. Dressing a little provocatively might take his mind off things, to help him a bit better. He was a solider what is a soldier's favorite thing besides a good drink and a battle well fought? a woman is it not. She smiled to her self, she did like him, she wouldn't mind. (( Her dresses ))

The room was still long in silence when finally the elder spoke. "Then..if everything is in order. I call this meeting to a close. Make note that the princes are to be watched and protected till we can make light of any more evidence." The council stood and Cearuil and Daire bowed with their fist over their heart to the Elder as he stood. He left with a trail of gaurds following and soon after the other members left as well. Daire gave a long breath when the room was silent and Cearuil folded his arms. "So this is what we're up against." Cearuil thought alloud, making Daire frown. "Oh no, Cear, those men are the authority of Atlantica. They aren't against anyone." Cearuil smirked at his brother. And they said Daire was suposed to be the smart and collected one? It was obvious at least a good percent of that council didn't know what the hell they were talking about and were quick to blame even the own Atlantic people for murdering their king rather than an outside force. It was ridiculous, almost as much as those obviously targeted comments coming from that Avery. "Daire, you and I both know no one has been on our side. They've been on your side since I can remember..." "That's not true Cear. There is no side between you and I." Cearuil looked to Daire, the compassionate and strong older brother demeanor practically radiating from him. Cearuil felt the small choking of envy hit him. Always so damn calm and collected, level headed, sociable, able to convince a shark to be a vegetarian if he wanted to....but what did that leave Cearuil as? His lesser younger brother, the troublemaker, the problem child, the one that was only a block in the road for poor prince Daire. "We're brothers, that's the only side I take..." Cearuil felt Daire's hand on his shoulder and tensed. How he wasnted to believe those words, but he knew they were far from the truth. A small cough came from behind them and Cear turned to find a servant standing there, looking terrified. "S-Sir, Prince Cearuil?" He ducked in a bow when Cearuil raised an eyebrow at him with an annoyed look. "Speak." At the order the servant jumped and quickly stood straight as a board. "Lady Maria requests your company!" He all but shouted and bowed his head quickly again. Cearuil's expression changed to a bit of surprise. Maria wanted to see him again, why? He felt a bit of a feeling creep into his expression, actually bringing about a smile. "Very well, tell her I will meet her in the drawing room, west wing." He said and the servant nooded quickly before tearing off out of there like Cearuil was going to start spitting fire or something. He pullled his shoulder away from Daire and began walking towards the door. "You're awfully close to that Maria..." Cearuil paused, looking back over his shoulder at Daire. "Really now?" He let his complacent smirk come to his lip, "If you haven't forgotten brother, she's my guest...and is still a suspect." He turned promptly and left the room with a small frown. 'Taken with her...hah.' He thought as he walked into the room and sighed, sitting back on one of the couches. He rested his head back on the back of the chair, closing his eyes to get in a breath.
Daire watched his brother leave and felt a small bit of guilt sting him. He heard footsteps behind him and turned to find his mother was walking up the hallway with her servants and ladies with her. "Ah, Daire..How did the meeting go?" She asked and Daire bowed to her before saying. "Very well, I believe we have convinced them of our innocence." The Queen smiled in relief. "Oh how wonderful...but where's Cear?" He frowned and she looked a bit uneasy. "What honey?" "...I didn't tell him." He said and she did frown at this point. "Oh, but he musn't be surprised!-She could be here in an hour or less!" She fanned herself and the ladies helped stable her. "I understand mother...when she arrives, tell her to go to the drawing room, west wing."

Maria was lead to the drawing room, she was surprised that Cear didn't come a bit late but early, he was there before she even got wind of where the meeting was to take place. "Hello Cear. I don't want to disturbed your nap." She said with a teasing smile as she came into the room since she walked in and his eyes were closed. Taking a seat close to him she didn't act nervous. She knew eh was stressed but she wanted to make him feel better, give him some one he could vent to, some one he could trust that wont meddle in politics and such. She wanted to take away his stress so she could see his smile, she liked it. It made her feel all fuzzy inside and she felt comfortable with him. "Do you like my dress? Its a new one. Since I finally got my clothes here and since they had been checked and rummaged threw by the guards..." Her voice was partly sarcastic but it still held enough humor to not sound annoyed.

Cear opened his eyes and looked to her. "Hello." He said his lips tugging into a smile, especially when he noticed her dress. Oh her dress... more like the skin showing from the dress. But more than that her voice calmed him. The sarcastic edge to it also made him want to laugh. "Cute...and who knows, you look like you might be packing." He laughed a bit, just kidding but he was glad the gaurds had the senss to check. "My apologies by the way. You wanted to meet and her I am in a less than social mood." He said, not technically an apology by the way he said it but in his thoughts he truly was glad to have at least some one around.

"Don't worry, If you wish for us to sit in silence I'll be happy to oblige you in the silence. I can imagine the stress you must be enduring. AS for a weapon, its only a minor protection matter. I always keep it on me." She said the last bit with a hint of seriousness in her voice making it sound silly. Girls didn't usually carry weapons making them easy targets...not her."I am glad you chose to oblige me however when I suddenly requested your company. Thank you Cear." She hinted at the word, making a leave of inquisition in her sentence, not knowing how he would think of it but she was hinting on the fact that he might actually like her in some way.

Cearuil blinked at that little hint she gave. He thought about that for a moment. Well as a prince didn't he have to-but since when did he care about ediquette-and wasn't she suposed to be at arms length-and here she was alot less than at arms length. But to think that he actually responded to her request-hell to anyones request-was new to him. His brows furrowed slightly and he glance at her then off at something else. Nah, it wasn't like that at all. He came to escape his brother's postivity and the councils nagging. He gave her a small look, trying to appear nonchallant those his mind was doing a poor job of really wrapping around what was going on here. "You're quite welcome, but know that its because you are a person of interest..a rarity in a way." He said, also in response to her actually thinking to protect herself. "And you don't whine, nag or try and coat things with sugar. As I said before it's refreshing." He felt he did that speech enough justice, and enough to ensure himself that he was just acting on keeping himself entertained rather than actually enstilling real connection upon someone. He never cared for anyone besides home and country. Wasn't that what made him to cold-blooded warrior prince after all? ((Lol tisk tisk, Cearuil. Anywho one more post and bam! Here comes...*still don't have a name!*))

Smiling at his excuse as his eyes lingered on tings they shouldn't have."Prince Cear. I'm aware that you don't enjoy sugar coated things. I don't either. They bug me and for the nagging and whining, that is for a petty woman not some one with a mind." This time she spoke boldly but she didn't mind, she didn't apply the consequences to herself. He liked her and he was having a problem admitting it. She was wanting to show him that she liked him but ti was rude to 'make a move' on a member of the royal family. she sat there and watched him. her movements fluid as she drank her tea.

Straight forward as always, as she had been the day he spoke to her. And in that completely no BS way of speaking he found the reason why enjoyed her company. She was real, and not some two sided little gem. But being so blunt left him with alot of his own double sided feelings towards her. How they came together he wasn't too sure, but hell if it worked why try and fight it. Besides, he was trying to forget the problems for at least a moment, why not find that here and now. "Well then. It seems we really are alot alike." He said, allwoing his eyes to take her in before he lneat nearer to her. Regardless what color or how the dress looked, she really did look amazing in it. "And so then what would a woman of mind do instead, Maira?" He asked, a small inquisitive smile coming to him. (you can post her answer as a past convo thingy lol but I thought it would only piss Maria off more if you know who showed up right when there was a good moment between them) The doors opened by the arms of two gaurds, making Cear look at the door way over Maria's shoulder, yet not move away from her. In a flurish of bright red and sheer golden lace, a woman strode in, her head high with confidence. And what a face it was too, gorgeous and fair in complexion with bright blue eyes and pretty long blonde curls framing it. She walked with a sway in her step up to the seat where Cearuil and Maria sat, and completely if not totally ignored Maria. She intead stared at Cearuil, her eyes brightening in surprise as her face took on a blush. "Hello, Prince Cearuil." She said in a curtsey as she looked up at him from long lashes. Cearuil regarded her as he would a complete stranger, cold and obviously annoyed. "Who are you?" He said apathetically and the girl blinked, looking a little taken aback. "Why Cearuil, I'm Lady Elena." She said, her face showing just how shocked she was by his apathy. Cearuil raised a brow at her then turned back to Maria. "Yeah okay. Leave. I'm buisy." He said, letting a hand carress Maria's shoulder, most for show to get this annoying girl to leave. "Cearuil, that is no way to speak to a lady." The Queen came up beside Elena and saw the outfit Maria was in and just how cozy the two looked. Her eyes narrowed slightly, but she refused to adress that infront of Elena. "Mother, why is she here?" Cearuil asked, looking to her with a less detatched look that was more borderlining the way a kind would adress a docotors appointment. "Why Cearuil, She's here for you." Cearuil's face fell and was knocked on his ass for a second, speechless. "Why? I have no need for her. She can go." The Queen's jaw clenched and she seemed to be borderlining frustration and embarrassment for her sons behavior. "Please excuse my sons, in formality. You see a great time of tragedy has fallen upon us. He should remember himself after some time to collect himself." She gave him a brisk look and Cearuil's lips twitched into a frown. Okay, so all he had to do was be courteous to this random girl to get her to leave him alone? He huffed and got to his feet, bowing slightly to her in the formal way someone would adress a guest. "Welcome my lady. It's a pleasure to meet with someone so blissfully unaware." He said refering to her just barging in and also to spite her. Elena beamed with doe eyes at Cearuil however, as if that simple and curt greeting was the single best thing she'd ever recieved in her life. "Thank you...I've heard so much about you, Warrior Prince." She said, hiding a small blush and giggle behind her fan.

A smirk came over her lips when Cear leaned closer to her. At his words she smiled wider, "A woman of mind would make sure she did all she possible could to make his majesty feel at ease..." She said mostly in his ear but when she heart the door open she practically froze for a second. When Cear didn't pull away she didn't either instead move to rest on her hip to see who it was better. ((It worked, she hates the bitch already lol) )It was a girl about her age, blond tresses and red and golden lace dress. Clearly dressed like royalty. When Cear didn't address her and seeing how she was ignoring Her she didn't get up or even move. It was extraordinarily rude to do this. Maria watched her as she tried to pull the 'innocent' look, she hated that crap- it was all a lie. A small smirk came over she face when Cear addressed her so blandly and annoyed, cold even. She loved it when people got what they deserved. Noting her name she decided to remember it so she could get revenge later for this intrusion. However when Cear's hand went to her shoulder lightly caressing she blushed lightly, keeping her face straight in a way that it was almost annoyed yet calm. She was still enjoying the attention to be honest but annoyed with the Elena girl. When the queen came in she didn't turn her head she was almost embarrassed then, for the queen to see her youngest son with a lady of the court with a new and very unexpected woman in a closed room with out a witness this close- it was almost shameful, but she couldn't really bring her self to care really. Maria did however know her manners she bowed low tot he queen, but still didn't move away from where she was next to Cear. She was proud of her feelings for him and wouldn't hide them for any one. Watching the interaction between mother and son as well as how he looked speechless when he was told why she was there. Maria scowled a little at Elena. Maria heard his sigh when he got to his feet to bow to her, it was almost forced, that made her scowl lighten into a smirk. It made Maria sick to watch this girl coat him with sugar, rolling her eyes she straightened up a bit. Watching Elena try to flirt her way into his graces as well was making her sick. Reaching over to take a sip of her tea she held her cup this time to distract her. She kept her eyes on her cup not wanting to intrude since the royalty had already ignored her. Her hand however was clenched under the side of her skirt around a knife she always kept with her. What she wouldn't give to just kill her and get her trouble over with now.

Cearuil straightened, giving Elena a dismissive look. “I’m not surprised you have. I’ve heard nothing about you.” He said and looked to his mother, meaning for that to be a hit against her. She gave Cearuil a small frown and clasped her hands in front of her. “Cearuil may we speak over this, please.” The queen said and Cearuil folded his arms. “Now’s as good of a time as any.” The Queen looked a bit lost for words so Elena cleared her throat. “Allow me, you highness.” She said and turned to Cearuil with soft smile. “I was sent here, from my kingdom as an offering of peace between our nations, and with my alliance with the prince of the Atlantic, the Pacific may be rebuilt under their guidance and protection.” If there had ever been a time when Cearuil had been not only so dumbstruck that he couldn’t speak but also so completely angry that just a simple narrow of his eyes and sneer could hold all the fury enough to even make his mother take a step back, now was that time. So not only after he lost his father to a horrible murder, but now he was to marry a Siren, the very bottom feeders he spent 3 years trying to destroy? He whirled on his heels, exiting the room without a word to anyone, not even a look to Maria. The large door slammed behind him and the women in the room winced. “I’m so sorry my dear…he’s going through a rough time you see. His father was his world…if only his father would have been able to deliver him the news before he…” She let the thought drop and visibly shook at the memory that came to her. Elena swallowed and looked to the queen, her eyes beseeching her to be calmed. “No, please forgive me. It was wrong of me to approach him like this, right now. I just wished to give him happier news and when I saw him…I just couldn’t help myself.” “It’s no trouble at all, Lady Elena. Just give him some time…I will have Daire speak with him.” Elena nodded and she then, finally looked to Maria, her eyes still doe like and innocent. But on further inspection of her eyes, there was a coldness to be found, a complete apathy that couldn’t belong to such a sweet girl…. “Ah, you must be a friend of the Prince?” She asked, looking her over and giving a very small tilt of her head. “Lovely dress, it really suites you.” The Queen also looked to Maria for a long moment before she looked to Elena. “My dear, have you seen your quarters on the West Wing yet? Loveliest view of the ocean, perfect place for a nice swim, till we all meet for dinner…” The Queen offered, trying to pacify the situation. Elena looked to her maid and they left in procession out the door. When everything was quiet the Queen sighed. “I have no idea what I’m doing anymore…I can’t raise a kingdom, I can’t even raise my own sons.” She looked to Maria, her eyes showing her complete and utter exhaustion, the real fact that the woman hadn’t slept at all, hadn’t eaten, and was bordering bursting into tears at any moment.
“Cearuil, please calm down.” Daire said, reaching out to his brother who was about to leave the palace. As soon as his hand so much as nearly caught his shoulder, Cearuil whirled on Daire with a move so fast even the gaurds by the gate didn’t have time to react. Cearuil’s kick nearly connected with Daire’s head, hovered an inch from his face, the only thing holding it back was Daire’s hand. Cearuil glared at him and Daire smirked twisting the foot so that Cearuil had to drop the kick. Instead Cearuil came back at him with a punch and a stream of other swift attacks, all blocked by an equally quick Daire. The two stared at one another for a moment, Cearuil breathing hard and scowling, while Daire held Cearuil’s fist behind his back. With a small smile, Daire cocked his head to the side. “Got that out of your system.” “Not quite.” Cearuil slipped out of his hold and elbowed Daire so hard in the side he staggered back, favoring his left side in pain. “Damn…but I guess I deserved that.” He said breathlessly as Cearuil watched him bent over in pain. “You’re damn right you do! When did you know about all this?” Daire straightened with a wince and gave Cearuil a shrug. “Since the day before your arrival.” Cearuil’s teeth gritted. “And why the hell was I not informed I was being sold off to some Siren brat?” He snarled and Daire shook his head. “Actually she’s not Siren, she’s Meru. And you’re not being sold off Cear.” “Then what is this then? Enlighten me what marrying that girl has to do with anything-?!” “Try the fact that it can ensure a long last peace with our enemies. That with her influence we can help sway the efforts in the Pacific and take it under our control. That you could ensure that money goes to the many starving in our country from poverty from the war.” Cearuil looked away from Daire, not wanting to give his brother the satisfaction of seeing his anger even slightly curbed. “Then why don’t you marry her?” “Because that’s not want Father wanted. He chose you to be the one to court Elena…” That hit home with Cearuil, making him look up at Daire once more. His face had fallen, and only a look of complete coldness was left. “I guess he thought it best for you.” Daire moved forward but Cearuil took a step back. He watched him for a moment before sighing. “Brother, this will bring great things for Atlantica…at least consider it before you just toss this opportunity away.” Daire turned on his heels and left, leaving Cearuil frozen in place. Thoughts raced through his head and memories of his father’s face. Cearuil felt a wave of nausea hit him and continued down the corridors to the throne room. It was abandoned it seemed, the one part of the palace that still had an eerie silence that hung over it. He walked at a slow pace up the isle to the thrones, remembering that just a day or two ago he had walked up this very isle to announce to his father the success of the front against the Pacific. He also remembered back to a younger age, hiding here after he filled Daire’s pen with squid ink that exploded all over him from the pressure of the ball point. He remembered coming her to hide from school, to avoid the nanny and his mother, he came here to watch his father work and to see the people as they awed at him with such pride for their king. Cearuil let his hand glide over the arm of his father’s throne before turning toward the door. He expected to close his eyes and wake up, that this all might be some horrible dream…but dreaming was for the weak and he had no time for weakness left.

Maria flinched at his look but it wasn't' directed at her so she calmed down. As she listened to Elena's sweet voice it made her want to gag on how disgusting she sounded.Little did she know he didn't want to marry her- she as an enemy-never let an enemy in your bed. She rolled her eyes when Elena said she couldn't hold it back. She however wanted out of the room to go after Cear...but she didn't know if he wanted to see her now...Would he follow his mother? or would he listen to his own mind..She didn't know...She hoped he wouldn't listen to his mother...Elena was bad news. When she turned her doe eyes on her she gave her a frown of disdain, making it good and clear that the hate was mutual. "You could say that. Him and I are like minded scholars. Thank you." At the dress comment she wanted to shank her, she was just asking for it, calling her slutty to her face and with the queen present, she could kill her. "Your majesty, If I might...Cear is still a solider at heart. He won't marry her...She is labeled as the enemy-he might try to abide for you but it will never make him happy...And I think you have done an excellent job at raising your boys. They are both very fine young Meru. I think you need to take a break... get some sleep...you look tired your majesty. If you need help with anything I am here to help you. You can even vent if you please. I don't mind...."

The queen looked to Maria, taking in a shaky breath. "thank you my dear..." She said gving her a soft smile. She raised her head a little more and took her shoulders back in a very regal way. The queen really was a beautiful woman, with her long white blonde hair and seagreen eyes. It was easy to see where the boys got their looks though most Meru were good looking. "You are a very strong woman, I admire that. I pray that you never lose that." She walked to the door, her strut long and fluid. She paused at the door as the gaurd that stood outside opened it for her. "But with strength comes a necessity for measure and the ability to know ones place...don't forget that." She said before she left. ((kay I wanted to jump forward to later because right now Cearuil would be incredibly pissy and not worth being around)) Cearuil was starting to get a headache as he walked from his room. He had acted on his emotions and left without even giving Maria a second glance. He felt almost....bad for it? Well he should feel bad for leaving Maria with his mother AND that Elena. He would have to apologize, but just how he had no idea. He did like her, but after showing such a bad side would she even so much as speak to him right now? He sighed and noticed the maid he had assigned to keep watch over Maria leaving Maria's room. Before he could turn and leave she caught sight of him. "Ah Prince. Have you come to see Madame Maria?" Cearuil looked to the maid and gave a rather tense nod. The maid wanted to giggle at how awkward the prince looked, but his frown alerted her to the fact that he still must not be fullyback to good graces. "Well sir she's in her room...if you'd like to speak with her." She moved down the hall leaving Cearuil to himself. He looked at the door for a moment before sighing and approachhing it. He knocked lightly and cleared his throat. "Maria, it's-uh-Cearuil." He said, then wanted to kick himself. 'Nah shit, who else would it be sherlock?' He thought shaking his head.

She listened to the queen and took all her advice she had to give including the good and the bad. She had a point and she did under stand her point in society however she wasn't afraid to take a new place. As the queen left she bowed low and stood as she left. She stayed there to finish her tea then made her way back to her room. Once there the maid helped her bath and brush her hair. She was in an evening dress as she still had to attend dinner. She was sitting on the window seat when the maid left. Watching their glow fish swim past the globe not a few feet from her. They were swirling in a pattern, beautifully as they fluttered and flashed. When there was a light knock on the door she looked up. "Maria, it's-uh-Cearuil." She smiled as she got up and answered the door, she didn't so much mind being visited she understood completely, but he sounded nervous. When she opened the door she had a smile on her face but it was swayed by his nervous appearance . "Hello Cear. Please come in." She lead him in, shutting the door behind him and took her own seat in the chairs around the fire place. Looking at him she watching him threw slightly troubled eyes as he was a little out of place.

Cearuil was out of place in a way. More along the lines of he wasn't sure just where he was suposed to be. One moment he was sure of himself and the next he was back to square one. But not that he wanted her to think of him ever being unsure. He was suposed to be a leader after all. He didn't sit at first and glanced at her for a moment. She looked lovely in the dress-but that wasn't what he was suposed to be thinking-he was suposed to be speaking right? "Yes, well, I just wanted to say something-for earlier I mean, that whole display was not suposed to turn out that way. Or at least it shouldn't have happened entirely. It was a total blind side and-how dare that little-no... no, that's not what I'm trying to say." He said and then looked to her with what could be interpreted as sincere for him though it looked as serious as a heart attack (just picture poor little Cear struggling aw his first apology from the heart hehehe). "I'm sorry for what happened, that you got caught up in something you shouldn't have. I don't want you to ever be put in that position again..." He said surprised the words actually finally came out correctly. He hoped she would forgive him though, she didn't seem to mad now at least.

She giggled as he tried to contain himself on his language in front of a lady. Smiling she watched him and a look of partial surprise came over her face. "Well, thank you Prince Cear. However you don't' need to apologize to me. I completely understand your emotions on Lady Elena....Thought it is nice to hear it. Thank you. I'm happy to accept your apology- thought it wasn't necessary by the fact that your acting a bit off as thought either embarrassed or out of place in a loss of what to do, I know that you are sincere." She flashed him a smile, offering him a seat close next to her. She didn't mind any of this but she still felt bad about earlier and how she had gotten close to her goal, his attention. She enjoyed the feel of his rough hand on her skin, it felt necessary.
