----- Black sweater pulled up over the bottom half of his face, Destirel sighed. It had been a long time since Alysia and him had spoken about things other than school.
...Ever since that evening... Though they saw each other fairly frequently since Destirel had continued to go to classes, despite him not needing to. The day after, he had tried approaching her, only to find out that she had been banned from seeing him. That had hurt him really, whether or not she was making it up or not, it still hurt. It felt as though he had lost one of the things he had been searching for during his short lifetime.
Pulling down the collar of his sweater, Destirel let the sleeves hang below the tips of his fingers, preferring the comfort of it rather than trying to look nice. He had neglected his usual boyish look recently. His hair had seemed to take on a life of its own as he had begun running his hands through his hair more than normal, his agitated and somewhat depressed state causing the stress tick to become more of a habit ever few minutes.
It was his last class of the day and he wasn't paying attention at all, especially since Alysia wasn't there. Destirel's eyes wandered towards the window, great big grey clouds were coming towards them; they looked pregnant with rain. He had felt the wind early that day and it seemed that they were in for a heavy shower this evening. Fortunately or unfortunately, Destirel would not be present for the storm as he had the annual ball of the deities to go to. He truly wanted Alysia to go with him but he really was unsure on how to get her to come with him.
The sudden ringing of a bell broke Destirel's concentration. It was the end of his school day and he wasn't exactly what one would call excited about it. Fingers running through his hair, Destirel stood and gathered his things. Almost silvery teal colored eyes took in the class room before he left. He had decided to go and try and ask Alysia to go with him to the dance. It couldn't hurt to ask right?
Fortunately he had gotten her out of having to see Hecate. Destirel had a bit of a tricky streak in him, he could outwit the goddess if he tried hard enough, though it wasn't always successful. He still wasn't sure that she had believed his little story but alas, Hecate had let him off the hook. Exiting the school building, he made his way towards Alysia's dorm. He assumed she was still staying there after all, he didn't think she had a real reason to leave the dorms...did she?
The wind was blowing in soft gusts as he walked towards the girls dorms. It tasted of static electricity and brought the scent of rain to Destirel. It was a rather pleasant scent in his opinion but he was not in the mood to get caught in a storm so began to quicken his pace. He hoped that he would be able to convince Alysia to come with him. In all honesty, he wasn't going to leave without her.
Making it inside of the main building, he found her room by memory. Destirel stood outside of her door when he found it, just thinking. His hair was sticking up in all places and his eyes had darkened in color, responding to his mixed emotions of what he had come here for. If that little nuisance of a nymph was there than Destirel had much less of a chance than he had hoped for upon deciding to come. Never the less, he would still try. He was a stubborn man and he didn't back down easily.
It took him three tries of raising his hand and attempting to knock before he actually did. Four sharp knocks and he stepped back one, looking down and fiddling with the long sleeves of his black sweater. He looked almost gloomy today, his grey pants and black shoes not giving him really any color. Though he looked nervous, something he didn't normally show, Destirel sobered up his expression as he heard the click of a lock being undone on the door.

A welcome party on her arrival home had been a far cry from what she'd been expected. Uriana, her mother had been previously infuriated that she'd skipped classes and even angrier that she'd spent time with Destirel. Children of the gods were bad news her mother had reminded her. Spending hours trying to drill that fact into Alysia's mind. She'd been banned from seeing Destirel. It wasn't without desperate pleading though her mother had also contemplated canceling her enrollment in the school. That was something she couldn't stand. Some how not being allowed to talk to Destirel was more manageable then never seeing him. Some how her mother had came around and reached an agreement, she could stay if she did not speak to the nymphs. Was that her mothers way of cutting her off completely from her world? Uriana could deny her child's heritage as long as she wanted but the truth was Alysia was the child of a god. She couldn't completely shelter her from that life. In fact, her visions had grown all the more worse and disturbing sleep was almost impossible at times when nightmares plagued your dreams. The boy he died so many ways always in front of her while she was left incompetent to save him. What was his name? Who was he? Still she was no closer to the truth though it wasn't for lack of trying. History books she searched frequently, anything that held a glimpse of who he may be but still the same answer. Nothing. Nothing was of no help to her what so ever. With a soft sigh Alysia brushed her fringe away from her eyes as she gazed out the window. Once the beautiful birds would have brought some small comfort to her a smile perhaps. Now the noise depressed her. How could she smile at the birds beautiful song when she lacked the will to even play her violin. Shutting the window with a soft thud she turned away. So many things she could have gained from that bird. Her power to manipulate the animals had been left uncharted. It had been Destirel who had discovered the power, without him she had no desire to experiment with it's use. Rubbing her eyes slightly her hand lightly brushed across her amulet. Such a wretched thing now it brought no comfort to her either. Uncaring she returned to her bed. Maybe she could sleep the day away? It's not like Destirel would even notice her lack of presence in the class would he? Shutting her eyes she could only hope for a dreamless sleep as her body relaxed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Four sharp knocks brought her out of her sleep as Alysia pushed back the covers on her bed. It was funny how something like sleeping made you feel instantly better upon awakening. Uncaring to the fact she was still dressed in her pajamas she slowly walked across to room some what curious as to who it would be. Staring at the door she sought out the persons aura before blinking in surprise. Destirel. Instantly so many thoughts ran through her head as she moved quicker then before to open up her door. Unable to contain her smile she gazed up at him her golden eyes shinning before she blinked her eyes a look of confusion appearing on her face. Why was Destirel here? More importantly did Eris know? Reaching up she curled the end of her hair. " Hi." She spoke meekly unsure of what else to say?Was he angry at her for saying she was not permitted to see him. He had seem so upset at her words.

Destirel smiled as Alysia opened the door. She seemed happy to see him though confusion replaced that. She seemed a bit shy as well, it was cute to him. "Hey." He responded simply and had to resist the urge to hug her. Really it had been a while since he had spoken to her, even in class. "I missed you in class today. Are you feeling unwell?" He questioned her, trying to get a conversation started along with stating that he was concerned with her absence in class.
He wasn't going to just up and say: You coming with me to the dance tonight? That would just be silly. He also wasn't going to force her to come now that he saw that she might be ill. It would be odd though, not many illnesses could effect a god, though a demi-god maybe? He wasn't sure off of the top of his head and he would have to look it up, though not right now of course. He stepped forward some, running his figures through his hair. It was a mess, looking like a tornado had landed and left a tangled mess of destruction.
His eyes were warm and his emotions were running between elation of actually talking to Alysia and worry about her well being and answer to the question he wanted to ask. His eyes were still brighter then normal but his body language said he was relaxed. Inside, Destirel was a bit jumpy, a little nervous even. It was odd but in all honesty he was planning on asking out a beautiful girl on a date. Licking his lips, he waited for her answer, hoping she was alright. If she said she wasn't feeling well then he was going to take her temperature and put her to bed.

With a smile Alysia looked up at Destirel. He'd missed her, he had actually missed her. Unable to hide her happiness and releasing a soft laugh Alysia shook her head lightly. " No I'm fine. I was just tired. I haven't been sleeping very well." She explain. There was no need to go into further detail she decide. Destirel knew fully about her visions. He'd understand.
Running a hand through her hair she blinked her eyes unsure of what to say next. What was she to do. Begin a conversation but now she was unsure. Nibbling on her bottom lip she shyly gazed up into his eyes. " I've really missed you."

"I was afraid you had caught something." Destirel explained, a soft smile on his lips. It seemed that she was happy to know that he had missed her. Destirel also figured that is was her visions bothering her and keeping her from sleeping. He wasn't going to ask but he could guess based on prior knowledge of the golden haired girl infront of him. Her being not sick gave Destirel the mental readiness to ask her about the dance. He just hoped she would agree.
When Alysia told him that she had missed him, Destirel couldn't help but smile widely, however he was reminded of the say that she had told him that she would not longer be able to talk to him again. Destirel had not taken it well at all, in fact he hadn't left his room for a few days, until he was forced to by the fire nymphs."I missed you too." he responded, voice soft and eyes kind. He really didn't see the harm in h talking to him. He probably shouldn't have been so reckless with the trip but he didn't regret it. "I actually came here to ask you something, if you'll let me" He then told her, nervousness becoming a bit more apparent by the jiggering of his hands and his fingers running through his hair again.

There was no way to contain her happiness as Alysia smiled up at Destirel. " No. really i'm fine." She emphasised. " Perfect actually know that I had a sleep." 'And that I've seen you' Keeping her lingering thoughts to herself she kept talking with him.
With a slight impish grin she took in his appearance. Truly he looked just as bad as she herself did. " Your hair is a mess." Sticking out her tongue in a joking manner she smile then reached out trying to smooth his hair into place." There that's a bit better. Not that I can talk. I'm still in my pjamas." Stepping away from the door she smiled lightly. " Is everything alright?" Moving into the room she gave a small movement of her hand. " Come on it's better talking in my room then in the hallway."

"Good, I was worried." He commented, noting that she looked cute in her pajamas, a bit of bed head going on but not much. He looked almost a but awkward standing outside, though he wasn't going to dare invite himself in. It really was a happy meeting. It wasn't as if they hadn't seen each other for years or anything, it still felt like a long time to him.
When Alysia commented on his hair, Destirel smiled sheepishly. His hair probably was a mess, though he hadn't expected her to go and smooth it out some with her hands. It made him smirk some, happy that she was comfortable with touching him, even if it was just his hair. He was about to comment that she didn't look bad at all but she asked him if everything was all right, along with inviting her into her room. Destirel wasn't quite expecting that but he was happy that Alysia did, following her inside, he decided to ask the question.
"No, everything is fine. I just wanted to re-invite you to the dance tonight. I know that it is very unlikely that you would agree but I do miss you and I thought it would be nice. I want to take you out to have a good time." He spoke a little quickly as if he was nervous about asking a girl out. It wasn't Destirel's first time around the block but he really didn't want to screw things up with Alysia. He looked up at her, pale green eyes looking longing and hopeful.

Taking on a shy like manner Alysia smiled self consciousely though inside her heart was racing. Destirel still cared for her despite her not being permitted to speak to him. Feeling more confident then before she gave a soft giggle in response to his smirk. Was everything fine once again? Surely it had to be if Destirel was back to teasing her and making her act so awfully shy.
" You don't have to worry about me. Really I am fine." She spoke to reassure him. Stepping into her room she gazed around quietly feeling shy once more. It's not like she wasn't used to being around Destirel, but he was a guy and he was in her room. Sitting on the edge of her bed she tilted her head some gazing into his eyes before quickly looking away.
Hey, she was still allowed to be shy at eye contact. Not to mention she was still awfully shy around him. Nibbling on her bottom lip she felt unsure. His words caught her of guard making her begin to contemplate them. No, that wasn't a good idea. If Eris told her mother the consequences would be good. Dropping her head she stared at the ground. " I don't know." She spoke softly. " What would I wear anyways. It's not like I own dresses." Frowning some she closed her eyes. " I do want to go though." She admitted.

"No matter if you say that, it will still be on my mind if you are alright when I am not with you." He told her, sweetness oozing from his words. He was obviously flirting there, but she was acting a little shy so he felt it necessary to get a bit of a reaction, even if it was just a blush. He had to smile at her shyness of eye contact, though he was also looking around her room, taking in what was in the room and how it looked.
At first Destirel was really nervous by Alysia's answer though he smirked with a hidden smile at the end of her answer. Walking closer to her, he took her hand in hes, holding it firmly. "I can get you a dress, there is a collection of dresses of all styles where I live and it is a masquerade so no one will know its you unless you tell them." He tried to make it sound good, smiling brightly, his eyes still were full of hope, as though she still would say no.

His obvious flirting did little to help her shy nature. With an embarrassed smile she turned away nibbling on her bottom lip some a firm blush on her face. " Oh." She mumbled unclear as what to respond with. All this talk was embarrassing her and she no doubt knew that Destirel was more then aware of her shy nature. Why did he always tease her so.
Biting back an audible gasp as he held her hand she slowly raised her head gaining the confidence to make eye contact. " Will Zeus or Hera be attending?" Like it or not Hera despised her and leaving herself out like live bait was less then appealing. With a soft sigh she pushed away all thoughts screaming at her not to attend the evening dance in Destirel's company. " I guess you need to show me these dresses then if I'm going to wear one."

Destirel enjoyed Alysia's reaction as she responded in the way he had expected her to. It wasn't that he was toying with her per say, it was just a different type of personality then he had grown up around and so he found it ever to intriguing and cute at how shy she was around him, even though he had made it blatantly obvious that she shouldn't have anything to worry about with him.
"They always attend but are so busy coercing with everyone else, that they won't notice us. Especially if you can hide your aura at all. Even if you wear the most beautiful outfit there, she would probablt think you a servant. It is how she is." He explained, knowing from past experience that everyone tended to say hello to his father and then leave him be, except for the few that enjoyed his conversations.
Upon Alysia's response, it seemed to take a moment for it to actually penetrate Destirel's brain. A delayed smile formed on his face and he had to keep himself from shouting a hooray. "So your coming?" He asked excitedly, almost as if he had been expecting a no for sure. "I can come pick you up in an hour if you would like. I have to get everything ready for you to pick out an outfit." He had a look of elation on his face, excitement in his eyes.

With a slight frown Alysia sighed then shook her head. Desitrel thoroughly enjoyed teasing her but for reasons she still couldn't quite place. Ducking her head slightly she gazed down at her bare feet. If Destirels aura at present was off putting to her what were her chances with many others gods? How was she ever going to cope tonight?
" What if I am recognized though?" She wasn't intentionally trying to sabotage her chance at seeing her father but her fear of Hera was quite strong. " I can glamor myself well enough. My eyes mostly give away who I am." Raising her gaze she peered into Destirels eyes. Glamor, she used it continuously it was if anything the one thing she could successfully manage. Nibbling on her bottom lip she studied the color of Destirels eyes. Mimicking that would be easy but now came the hard part. To alter her eye color with glamor to appear as Destirels now did. Taking a breathe she concentrated hard feeling the power flow through her as her eyes blazed bright gold before switching to green.
" I think I like green eyes." With a soft teasing smile giggled softly. " If Hera will think of me as a servant what will the other gods think?" Shutting her eyes she dropped the glamor breathing a sigh of relief. She dulled her appearance slightly to block out the sun catching on her eyes and her skin glowing. Tonight she'd have to use much more power to maintain her control. " Yes. I'm coming." She spoke the decision finally made.
Good an hours time gave her more then adequate time to change and work on the glamor. " Kay. I'll see you in an hour then."

Alysia was still worried about being found out. "I doubt it will happen but if it does, I will take care of it. I will make sure you get home and no one will be able to follow you, not even me." He said in a soft and comforting tone. He would have added more but she mentioned something about her glamor and then before he knew it, her eyes were the same green of his own. Smiling at her comment about liking green eyes, he touched her lightly on the shoulder. "Green does suit you." He complemented, hand gently falling off of her shoulder as though he was dragging it off.
"The others will think whatever you want them to think. However, I will make sure they don't know who you are, unless you decide to talk to your father. That is your choice alone to make." He added the last part to make it obvious that her father was to be coming and if she chose to meet him, that Destirel would not stop her.
Upon her stating she would come, Destirel smiled widely. "Great!" Backing away, he paced for a moment before looking up at her. "Yes, an hour. I will be at your door in an hour." Smiling, he wasn't sure how to say buy so, he a bit awkwardly, gave her a hug and mouthed a goodbye, his form being enveloped by a sparkling plume of black smoke. And he was gone, popping back into his room, jumping up as though he had just scored a major goal. Sobering up, he took a deep breath-hour, he had an hour to pick out some options for Alysia and get ready himself.

Alysia looked away visibly embarrasssed at being caught out stressing. It was in her nature though to expect the worse and having been told to avoid the gods for righteous reasons it was most intimidating to know Hera, the goddess who wanted her dead would be attending the dance. " I trust you Destirel." She insisted. " I'm allowed to be nervous though. You were raised by a god. I wasn't. I've never been permitted to be in their company."
Turning crimson she relaxed at his touch. He would so readily risk everything for her. Gone was all her doubt as she gave him a genuine smile. " Your eyes are nice though." Shying away at him comment of green suiting her she gave a soft nod of her head.
Too think she'd thought it be easy. She'd once inquired if Apollo would attend the dance, back when she and Destirel had been on talking terms, that having said was before her mother intervened. Now with the chance to meet him everything was unclear. How would he react to her prescence? Would he even care to know who she was? " It's not a good idea. It will risk exposing who I am." She clarified with a less then sure expression.
Yes she desperatly wanted to know her father, yet she couldn't dare risk it. Suprised and snapped out of her thoughts she gazed up at Destirel his arms around her just managing to catch his goodbye. "Bye." She whispered.
Now to make haste. Grabbing a fresh pair of clothes she headily moved to the bathroom.

It was true that Alysia had never been permitted to be in the company of any god but Destirel was planning on making her feel like the goddess she was supposed to be tonight. Walking down the fire lit halls, the brown haired god child searched for a particular room; his eyes brightening as he found it. Unlocking the door, a plume of dust puffed at him, covering him in a fine layer of grey. 'Definitley going to need a hot shower tonight.' He thought bitterly as he made his way past boxes and debris. It wasn't something you would really expect to be in a gods castle but alas, they had closets full of miscellaneous items as well.
Right now Destirel was in a closet that Hera threw stuff into. And he new for a fact that there were quite a few Victorian style dresses in the back. Eventually he made his way towards the back, finding an Armour full of them. First was a very simple, red and white ruffled dress, a white mask that covered the whole face, black lace lining around the eyes with a bright set of feathers on the right side. The next one that he picked was pale green and purple, he much more preferred it over the other though he wasn't sure what Alysia would think. The mask fitting perfectly with the dress.
The third dress he chose, out of the many, was a red and gold dress that looked like the sun itself. He thought that it would look beautiful with Alysia's golden colored eyes though he realized that they probably wouldn't look the same. The mask was hand held, a blue gen sitting on the left side, matching the ones down the center of the fiery dress. The last one he picked was a beautiful blue, not too fluffy and off the shoulder. It was definitely different than the others; the mask looking as though it was made from crushed blue crystals with an artistic arrangement of silvery leaves on the left side.
Taking these dresses to his room, he grabbed a decent sized chest as well, various amounts of jewelry and accessories inside. He had sent Ignis to get some shoes, though he wasn't sure on his size, the nymph said she had a good idea. Laying everything out on his bed, he made sure they were clean and hoped into the shower, his clothing in the bathroom, waiting for him after he was done.
------------------------------------------------------------------
After dressing and grooming himself, Destirel found that he was already five minutes late to picking Alysia up. Picking a rose out from the hallway, he was submerged into a black cloud of smoke only to reappear outside of her door. Knocking gently, he straitened his top hat just as someone came walking down the door. He earned an odd look at his dress, pale eye looking bright in his black and white outfit. That didn't matter much though as he was too excited to care. He was hoping that Alysia would like it. His mask wasn't on however, the orange and gold thing was tucked away indie of his pocked, along with a pocket watch. He was going all out for this after all. ((You can chose different dresses and masks, I just wanted to give you an option of these in case, it doesn't matter. This is what Destirel looks like too. one and mask This could be a secondary mask for the blue dress.))
