When Cadan said his sister would have loved the Imperium she laughed," No mage but a Mageister loves the Imperium. Most are poor and bossy Malificarum. Warping the chantry as it stands for nothing there. However most others I drink with can't keep up- even after a few years you would think they would learn..." She said her tone still light but serious. Most mages there were nasty pieces of work with not a nice bone in them-There were very few in face any where now a days it seemed. That mage she left at the chantry there in the port was one such who was rude and posh- low but a rank enough to stay out of trouble. He couldn't care less if a hundred people died because he wanted something, not many did any more. "Well, If things don't get said later- if your ever in Tevinter- look me up." She said giving him a wink to add a smile to his face. She was trying to cheer him up not because the more she looked at him the more exhausted he looked. ~~~ When the Qunari spoke to her she jumped a little, taking a step back. She hadn't remembered a Qunari being there at all. "My mage? When did I get one of those? You mean Ashiron?" She said trying to make sense of things before her eyes went from the ground to the other mages and then to her charge who was knocked out on the ground- but he was still breathing from what she could see. She walked over to him and looked him over, but didn't' touch him since he had an aversion to being touched by a Templar. Always ranting about having filthy fingers when her hands were quite clean. Fenris shook his head when Maaras asked if he was injured. He was just tired beyond belief, having expelled that sort of stamina and mana he was tired now- his lyrium having stopped glowing after the battle as it was draining his energy. " I'm fine Maaras...Lets go- They can fen for them selves." He stated dryly to the general audience before he turned and followed down the way the others went. Seb-by looked a bit unhappy with that option and shook his head." I will stay and make sure he is alright. Plus I think the Templar needs to be filled in. Don't worry I will catch up." He said, receiving a nod from Fenris who went on, he expected Maaras to follow him.

Cadan didn't like the sound of things in Tevinter. To have an entire group of leaders delved into blood magic was just a very bad reminder on the power a demons magic had. He had heard Brielle speak of it once, that it was a power always there that she was always so scared of tapping into. She knew how easy it was, to take a demons offer and just abandon her life. But she knew better, she always told him...how could a girl of only 16 understand blood magics wrongs over a group of fully grown men? He looked at Luka and wondered how much of it she had been in contac with. Surely quite a bit if she worked for a mageister's family. She didnt talk much about the scars she had, but he wondered if some might have been from magic. When she winked and told him to look her up if he was ever in Tevinter, he gave a half chuckle that could be heard in his voice. "Alright, deal. But you have to take me wandering all over the country side. Sound fair?" He asked, though it was obvious he was joking. ~~~~ Maraas watched the odd exchange and found herself more confused rather than satisfied wih this whole situation. Fenris wanted out and away from these people, she wanted to understand why it was they would try to kill him. Also that Templar wasn't very good at her job if she could so easily fall prey to a Mage. It was a screwed up situation all around. When Fenris very dryly ended the conversation she did turn to follow, sheathing her axe in time to hear Seb-by say he would stay to help the two. She raised a brow at him but nodded and followed after Fenris. "The mage understands that Saarebas is tainted and yet he helps. Why?" She asked not understanding that interaction.

"Oh indeed, I'll even take you to the chantry so you can laugh with me at the dogs...They are push overs perhaps you can transfer and kick a few into shape. Oh- and the taverns! I'll take you to my favorite ones..." She said with a smile as she remembered the good days when she got to drink as often as she pleased and relax. It was different now but she still liked to remember those days. "Then I'm sure we can share war stories and swap scars...Like real adventurer's do." She said with a smile as she stretched. ~~~~ Fenris's face was hard pressed and he was tired however he knew he had to keep himself under complete control when he wanted to break down and cry and express his fear of being found. He heard Maaras's questions and took a breath to answer her. "She stays because it is her duty. taint is normal where I am from. Very few mages there rely on magic other then blood. Our chantry is a pack of trained dogs to say the least...They obey- while we lead. Holding their collar before an attack." He said trying to explain it to her in a ways he could possibly understand.
Ashiron wasn't out for the count just paralyzed however when he was able again he sat up, finding Libby talking to a mage he had attacked earlier- making his anger spike. He apparently hadn't been noticed yet it seemed and he was going to make his point very clear to Libby now. He gathered a ball of black ooze and cast it directly at the mage- it began to immediately kill him- charring his body- that hadn't been eroded . He screamed in pain only a few moments before he stopped moving and died. It was a quick but severely painful death- and now his blood was on Libby- she was covered from where it splashed form when his skin burst open. Her eyes wide and frightened turned to Ashiron, who was smiling. " Your a murder!" Ashiron looked at her almost condescendingly," I'm not a bad man, even thought I do bad thing, Very bad things, such terrible things. Things aren't as they seem." She scoffed at him and felt tears welling in her eyes at the feeling of loss. She didn't know the boy but a death was always a loss. "How can they not be as they seem..." She looked up as the tears began to fell from her eyes and she pouted a bit as she said a small prayer for his souls passing. "He was interfering with the mission. The mission is your purpose here. Don't forget that- he was a mage that was not of the circle. There for an apostate- we wither kill them or the surrender." Libby gasped that she had even forgot about the Chantry rules on mages outside the circle. She stood and nodded knowing he was correct one way or another. "Good, now lets go- Leave him there. I need to rest- come." Ashiron said as he went back into the woods a bit deeper this time and Libby followed a sad expression on her face as they traveled a good way threw the woods away from the road since the mage wanted a peaceful rest.

Cadan smiled at her talk, almost as if it were feasible. But he didnt think he'd get along nicely with being someone's dog within the circle of mageisters. He did like the idea of getting to see Luka away from all of this, but even that was a thought he knew he wasn't supposed to have. It wasn't his job to make a friend out of her, just to find her charge and go back on his way...if the circle didnt decide to have him hauled off to the Mage prison for possible corruption from his sister's blood magic... He looked back at the road and gave a small shrug. "Imagine that. This Tevinter trip is sounding better and better." He said though he already was wondering how it was he could talk with Luka this easily. "Looks like ill have to step up this little trip in Fereldan, maybe show you the better things it has to offer since your charge seems to be having all the fun leading us around." ~~~ Maraas frowned at his words, but mostly at the fact he didnt look at her. Infact he was acting very distant wih her, something she only saw when he woke from that strange nightmare of his. She looked back, seeig the pair were nothing more than a blip now to them. "And that Mage Seb-by...I worry for him." She however looked to Fenris again this time her look more eased. "You fought well...it was impressive. However I am surprised the people asking about you already caught up that quickly...I assume that was who that was..."

He frowned at her assumption," Don't assume maaras. In Tevinter they sent multipule parties out to search for things. Each from a different party- one wishing harm and one not. No on from Tevinter can be trusted now. Ashiron- scum bag mage wants to marry my sister and gain my power and title. Not going to happen, My sister will not be Mageister either- I am still living. I will not allow anyone to kill me Maaras. I will not sur come to them." He sounded angry near the end and his markings were glowing faintly now that he was loosing some composure and letting his anger slip. He stopped where he was walking and looked at her, his anger getting the better of him, his eyes however were brimmed with tears of fear. It was more then obvious hew as scared now. "Maaras, You can't just ask things like that! Seb-by can manage him self. We are not his keepers. I can't afford to die here in Fereldan. I can't-I just can't sur come to them...or the demons- I can't." He said as he got himself tied up in his words of denial. He was honestly scared with him quickly he had been caught up to, that's what got to him the most. --------- Luka giggled at his words about stepping the tour up. "I think we are doing just fine. I happen to thing---my god!" She said as he jumped off her horse and ran up ahead to find a charred corpse in the road. There was a rather obvious sigh of struggle and a fight- a mage fight. The body was hard to recognize now however it had a burned staff in its hands- solid- however the body was still slightly warm. "What in the makers' name happened..." She said her voice sounding strained. She got up and looked at Cadan wondering if he had any more clue then she did.

Maraas listened to his words and knew as he continued on about his sister and the mage he had fought, he was getting angrier and more upset. Her questions however were blunt as they always were and that seemed to strike at his feelings. She was taken aback by him yelling at her and she gave him a very careful look. She was not angry, for she knew that he was not angry with her necessarily. He was angry with his situation. "You are upset and afraid. You fear what they will take from you... As you have reason to be." She said before her head tilted slightly upwards, her eyes still on his face. "You will not die here as you have shown me clearly...and that filth. You say you will not submit or succumb to them. Then do not. It is your choice to follow or to lead... Asit tal-eb." She said being upfront with him. She was unable to admit to understanding his feelings, mostly because she had done something similar. Run away from her place to follow her true nature, the contribute completely to the whole of the world. However Fenris...she was unsure if he was defying his nature or following it. She however felt that he needed help, something that she wanted to give for one reason or another. She looked down a bit her look softening. She moved up to him and actually bending a bit to be level with him. "I do not know how to word a lot of what I want to say...I am sorry you are afraid. But you are not alone Fenris." ~~~~ Cadan had been enjoying the talk but as always something blew up into a rather violent scene. The body of the mage smelled of flesh burned and still rotting in the sun and he could see the tracks in the packed earth were wide spread with scorches and divets in the earth. Whatever kind of mage fight this was, it was with skilled mages, and judging by the body, at least one was a malificar. He got off his horse and went to the body taking a gloved hand to some of the black blood on the ground. "At least we know he wasn't a malificar...his body would have smelled a lot worse than this. And this," He shook the gooey material off before he just ditched the gloves entirely. "is from someone else. Burned the staff too...poor kid..." He said since he couldn't use the staff or even make an ID with the Chantry's collection of phylacteries since the taint was mixing in with the blood. He could only guess by the direction the kid was facing, where a pair of tracks left him in one direction, while a whole pack left in another, that he must have been possibly apart of that big group they were following. "I don't know any mages that would risk using blood magic on this road. Its one of the most well traveled in Fereldan's east....So close to Denerim too, the Templars are practically a sneezing distance away if someone spotted them.." He said glaring at the corpse and wondering if perhaps someone in the group turned on him. He didn't seem to be tensed in his stance, almost like he hadn't expected the attack...

Fenris didn't talk back but calmed down a bit after hearing her words. They were slightly encouraging to he truthful. "Thank you Maaras. I appreciate your words. I apologize for being rude and stepping out of line- I shouldn't' have yelled."He took a deep breath and ran his hand threw his hair," Well, I think I'm done talking about this for now, lets catch up. We don't know the whole way after all. " he commented as he picked up his pace, tired or not, he was just wanting something to distract him better. -------- Luka looked the body over and frowned," The staff is a shock damage staff from around the Tevinter area- perhaps Starkhaven? I don't know not enough here to tell anymore. Its not my charge thankfully- poor lad too small." She said as he went and put her hand about two heads length over the dead boys head and motioned that Fenris would have been that tall. "We are looking for a taller target. never thought I would be happy to see a short dead person."She sighed and went to find a small place just off the path to bury the lad, they knew he was a mage but most would treat him bad so she assumed just bury him with what dignity he had left. "Please help me bury him." she asked as she went to find a suitable place for it- she didn't have much of a shovel but she did have a digging tool but it would take a good time to dig a proper hole.

Maraas followed obediently, though she kept her eyes on everything but Fenris. Something about that conversation struck a cord with her and got her thinking. He was a powerful mage that his sister wanted dead...And though he was strong, he was wounded deeply. She remembered him speaking of his home and telling her that he was alone. And in that, seeing the fear in his eyes....she wanted to help him. It was an odd feeling for her since she never really wanted to actually get involved with those that were not of her faith on any level other than on the field of a fight. He however gained her respect and showed her that he was worth paying attention to. She wasn't sure where this interest in his well being would lead her. but she was confident enough to see it through. ~~~ Cadan was glad to hear it wasn't her charge. He had briefly thought it, had he not assumed that the Lyrium in his system would have been somehow traceable in his blood. He watched the body as Luka spoke, the actual sight not disgusting him as much as the idea that someone could do this without a thought to someone... He snapped out of hi thoughts when she asked him to help her bury him. He rose to his feet and whispered a prayer to the maker. "Ashes we were, ashes we become...Maker give this young man a place at your side. Let us take comfort in the peace he has found in eternity." He said, though he felt almost wrong doing so...He was the last person the Maker would ever listen to. "Have you found a place Luka?" He asked, knowing he would handle the body to wherever they needed to take him after the grave was dug.

They caught up to the main group pretty easily however none of them seemed to be aware that a fight even took place. It was odd to see that but he wouldn't tell them if they didn't already know. When they all camped it was deep in the woods with small fires- nothing too large in little groups as they usually did. When Seb-by didn't show up however he assumed to worse, that Ashiron or Libby had killed him. He wouldn't put it past them but he wouldn't give them the benefit of the doubt either. He said a small prayer by the fore for him silently as he watched the flames. his eyes however scanned the area to see if anyone who didn't belong was there- he didn't find any one thankfully. ------------- She nodded and retrieved a digging shovel from her horse. It was small but it would work. They took turns digging to make sure none wore out too easily, then handled the body into the grave before covering it back up. It took about two hours but they finally finished. Luka looked rather tired but it was more sickness that some one would leave the body there with no regard. They didn't' do that in Tevinter even.

Maraas wasn't exactly relieved when they found the group. They all seemed blissfully unaware that one of their own just disappeared and that a fight had just happened. She however let Fenris handle things how he wanted, which seemed to end up with him keeping to himself. She let him have that time to think and took to caring for her blade again, since it was a feeling comfort for her. "Struggle is an illusion. the tide rises, the tide falls, but the sea is constant. There is nothing to struggle against. Victory is in the Qun." She repeated softly to herself in a small mantra as she ran the sharpening stone over the blade's edge. She paused however when a shift of her leg seemed to make the music box ping. She took it out and turned the little butterfly as she had seen Fenris do. The soft song that followed made her smile as she continued along with her routine. ~~~ Cadan felt the effects of digging and the feeling of putting someone in the ground that shouldn't have been there. It was felt wrong, but it reminded him why it was the Templar's existed. To make sure atrocities like that weren't a common sight. "I hope this is the last body like that...I don't think the group your charge is traveling in would have done something like that. Maybe whoever the off shoot prints were...But that also means a powerful mage is still wandering around these parts." He said almost wondering if her charge had something to do with this.

Luka nodded since she didn't want to do this any more then he did. "Hopefully its some one I know- so I can enjoy killing them." She said her voice a bit gruff as she wiped some dirt from her hands and went back to her horse. her eyes however went to the foot prints that lead off and she examined them well wondering what- or who it was. The only clue she had was armor. The prints there by the woods was heavy armor, which confused her because she had seen it before. However an idea struck her," Cadan, come here- I need to see your boot." She called over her shoulder to him. ------------- When the medley fell to his ears he couldn't help but look over at Maaras. she was listening to the lullaby he had given her . The box was sitting by her and it was wound easily and things were calm. A few others looked over and commented about it being pretty. When it got to a part he knew he hummed along as well, not really minding getting a few looks, but he didn't mind, as he muttered some lyrics. "There's a time for everything, There's a song for every dream. There's a song..." He said as he looked at Maaras. "Tell me, do your people sing? Or have ballads or anything like that?" He asked hoping to talk since he was silent for a few hours now, he figured he was being a bit rude with how he was acting, scared or not, she didn't do anything wrong.

Cadan almost expected that response from her and let a frown gace his lips, one that showed he almost hoped it wasn't someone she knew. It seemed her acquaintances from Tevinter were a nasty piece of work. He was surprised when she asked for his boot but moved over to where she was. "Why's that?" He asked, though he flashed the make, the heavy metal make showing over the leather to form the point most all Templar armored shoes took. ~~~ Maraas looked to Fenris when he joined her, though didn't stop her work on the blade of her axe. She knew this was his way of not being alone so she would add to the conversation as best she could. "We have few songs. Most are battle hymns, some are used in celebration of a qunoran vehl, those who serve as examples to others, though they are usually dead. It is a wonderful celebration though it is madness to some." She said before giving her brow a raise. "That song though," She motioned to the music box, "is very beautiful. I like the words you said to it. It is unlike our songs."

She looked his shoes over and then the ground again. She frowned," They have a Templar with them- a few sizes smaller but its the same design. That's disturbing." She looked up at him and wondered what was going to happen with that. A Templar wasn't supposed to fight other Templars- it was against the rules. At leas tin Tevinter it was, "Any suggestions?" ~~~ He smiled at her compliment of the song and nodded. "Here we have songs for celebration, children, love, hate, hero stories...A song for everything really. Its odd to think that there cultures have little songs while others have many. I'm glad you like it thought. If your going to be an elf specialist you need to know a bit about out customs." He said with a smile .

Maraas smiled at his words and gave him a sort of proud look. "I will do my best to learn all I can. Though you elves seem to be so different." She said giving the music box a fond look. "A song for almost every occasion...I wonder why. Maybe it is our values being so different." She said before her expression turned thoughtful. "One reason you are so different is your emotions. You seem to use them freely. The Qun does not allow such displays." ~~~ He looked at the print made by the boot and instantly his eyes narrowed. "A Templar would let someone do something like that?" He couldn't help the disgust in his tone, especially since that was a touchy area for him. He killed his own sister when she turned into an abomination because of the danger she possessed and yet someone of his own order would be so careless as to ignore something like this? He was not supposed to face his brethren but he couldn't allow this to continue. "My suggestion is if we run into these two, that Templar will be punished. I can't rule out that they may be possessed from the mage's blood magic, but either way they are going to answer for this." He said before he looked her over. "I don't your charge would travel with them...so I think our best bet is still the group...unless you wish to deal with the other two?"

"Well, if you smiled more- if you wanted to- you might get better at learning emotion or you can be the quiet observer there of you like." He said as he waited for the box to start the verse again. He like humming it since it calmed his nerves. ~~~ She nodded hearing him out. "I think that I can handle the mage- you are welcome to help however- I like to skin them but you can chase him down if you wish..." She said making a joke like he was a pig. She wanted to kill this mage who was sent to kill her charge. She was afraid that it was another powerful mage but knew she would defiantly get in trouble for killing him so she had to think of a back up plan for later if things came to it. She looked back at Cadan with a bit of a furrowed brow, her tone a bit off. "Umm...You think that maybe if we.. no I don't want to confront the mage with out a back up mage on our side in case things go south since I don't know who we are dealing with..." She grumbled near the end making it obvious she dreaded facing the mage.
