Maraas blinked when he told her to smile more and learn emotions. "Why would I do that? I smile when I feel it is necessary. I know emotion as do my brethren. Qunari just keep themselves in control. Even then some say I am too...intimidating?" The word faltering since she didn't use it often but had heard it used on the lips of others when speaking of her kind. They were considered giant zealots to most, but she knew I was their dedication and control that made the Qunari the people they were. "Yet you are a friendly face to them. Though they do not know you, they seem willing to speak with you, especially the elf girl." She said noticing he seemed to brighten when the song on the loop started again at the part he liked. ~~~ Cadan wasn't against taking on this mage but he noticed she had an aversion to it without some help first. It was probably against some rule she followed to go against another mage perhaps from Tevinter. That was all he could guess if this mage really appeared and possibly attacked the group they were following. "Fine by me. But I'm sure this wont be the last time we see them. If you really think they are after your charge..."

When Araine was brought up he perked up a bit," Oh, well yeah it would seem that way- its a bit of an attraction issue. Elves- when they find another attractive they don't really waist time with marriage until they are ready to commit and stay content- we younger elves like to..." He thought about a wording but assumed she got the point from that alone. Young elves liked to play- it was human nature. "Anyhow-Elves are usually all persecuted or enslaved so we tend to stick together another reason they are so friendly with me." He said making her see that Elves usually didn't care where one was from just what they intended to do now. ------- When he said that they had no other reason really but she scoffed looking a bit bitter suddenly," What reason does anyone have to go after some one else. Its not like they need one if its in their nature to be nasty..." She said her hatred leaking out but she didn't care if Cadan heard it, She was sure he already knew she was just as bitter as him. "Besides I do want to be able to retrieve my things from my room in Tevinter before I am banned from it. If I kill this mage- whom ever he be- if he is some one of Influence I can't go back- I have nothing left there but still the sence of belonging is hard to find." She confided eventually. She didn't know if he cared or even wanted to know but she felt like sharing her worry even if it were personal.

Maraas's eyebrow quirked at his mention of the attraction issue with them. She wasn't sure if he reciprocated but from what she understood, elves were just as liberal as other species with sex and the like. Qunari didn't associate relationships with attraction. Though the two were in similar fields, they thought of pedigree above all else in choosing a partner. So though the topic was a bit more foreign to her though she understood in some sense. "That is interesting. A plight can bring many together, despite differences..." She said before she placed her blade down and gave him a rather curious look. "And you see yourself the same as them, just by race?" She asked not understanding that concept. ~~~ Cadan knew he had tread over that fine line for Luka and it made her mad. Not at him persay but at the person she knew was still out there and still a threat. He let her vent her feelings and kept his mouth shut, since he was always told he was a better listener. He was surprised however when she brought up something much more personal. He came to understand her feeling on the topic and knew why she hesitated at least now. He didn't want her to have to struggle with something like that, but it was a very touchy and imbalanced world they lived in. "You know I won't make you lose that right? If you feel strongly against something, we'll figure it out alright?" He said wanting her to know he had her back in this, even if he was still somewhat of a stranger to her. He still felt a sense of his usual protective nature with her, something that usually came through, that he thought he lost when he gave up after Brielle...

When cadan said he would support her and help her keep her sanity more or less she was partly over whelmed. Luka leaned over to him and kisses his cheek, nothing really sexual just a grateful one. She never had anyone support her- beside with threats and the like. Her brother died because of her so she was happy to have some one there to support her like her brother did. "Thanks Cadan, really...Its been a long time since anyone has given me support, not since my brother passed and that was over seven years ago." She said her voice shaking bit but she could speak about it, she had come to peace that he was in a better place by the makers side but it still hurt. --------- As she put her blade down he looked about wondering what was going to happen on this whole trip. When asked about race and how he considered himself he smiled softly at her. "No, I am not dalish- Genetically I am but that is the origin of Elves. I am over the Tevinter Imperium. I was made for Pedigree and riches. I haven't had a heard days work I my life...I'm a Mageister Maaras...I am nobility where I am from. There the Dalish are impoverished and wanted nothing to do with me just because of my blood line as they had thrown the Dalish out a long time ago. That might help you understand how I see things my friend. I am not a simple elf from Tevinter. I am privileged and I usually have everything I could ever want but I left it there for a reason. In my life I have learned a few lessons- with riches and luxury comes loneliness and sadness. " He said his voice had gotten bitter, and harsh however he knew Maaras would understand. She was very knowledgeable and if she didn't understand she would ask as was per usual.

Cadan didn't expect the kiss to the cheek, her lips soft and warm, but her look almost relieved. He realized then that his words held greater weight to her than he imagined. If it made her happy to hear she had someone there for her, he would make sure to prove that to her in hopes it gave her a better feeling. He couldn't imagine a place where he was completely alone with no one to rely on. Even though it seemed that way, the Chantry and his Knight Commander did well to make sure he kept his mental stability stayed at a functioning level. So for her, he could do as much as he was allowed. "Don't mention it. You deserve some peace of mind, though I know you do a fine job of taking care of yourself." He said, being perfectly honest with her, as he felt he could be. But perhaps he would over step his boundaries if he continued such close talk, so he decided to move on. "It's getting late, though I think we should continue a bit further before we stop." He said, looking up at the sky that was dimly showing signs of setting. ~~~~ Maraas understood his talk and in fact she felt it rather sad still. To be alone even amongst a group that seemed to accept you...she gave him a small nudge with her knee, as if to take him from the harsh thoughts he was having. "It sounds quite lonely. But a good thing about Fereldan is that people seldom ask about ones past...it is easy to find a better future." She said bright eyes dulling slightly at that thought. "Who knows, you might like the Dalish enough to stay..."

"Yes but its always better having help, I don't have eyes in the back of my head after all. Alright-lets go a bit farther- I don't want to sleep by a grave." She said with a smirk in a much better mood now that she knew he was there to support her. In her mind that was a tremendous boost in not only her ego but on her softer more feminine side. She was feeling a bit over whelmed lately in trying to find the boy but in her hit and miss tactics of late, it was wearing her down. They mounted up and rode a bit farther but not by much, however when they went off the road to make camp they saw some one with a camp not too farther in. Luka stopped and dismounted and saw the two people's horses grazing and not really caring for their new company. She glanced over a bush and saw a young man and a girl. There as armor piled by the man and the girl was in a dress and was braiding her hair by the fire. The man passed out in a sleeping roll. She looked to cadan and nodded wondering what he thought about this. She steped abck out by the horses and waited for him to follow, before whispering to him. "What do you think? I don't think they are harmful." ~~~~ When she nudged his knee he glanced up and over at her with a smirk," Very true however-I don't think my past will let me. Not to mention I doubt anything can keep my attention for too long." he said with a smirk as his eyes went across the camp to find Araine walking about to check on little camps. "Well, maybe...I don't know. We will have to see how things pan out." When Araine noticed Fenris was looking at her she smiled at him and came over, saying hello to both of them. "Hey, whats going on?" Araine smiled brightly at Fenris when he asked and she took a seat a bit too close to him but didn't think anything of it or so it seemed. "Nothing Just checking up on every one. making sure every one had something to eat and the like. How are you doing? Oh both of you sorry." She corrected herself as she blushed and looked down after forgetting that Maaras was there. She looked at her apologetically," I'm sorry, I got distracted. You know one track minds get lost easy." Fenris snickered at that noticing that she had indeed forgotten about Maaras since she was sitting close to him. He didn't mind one bit, he found it funny.

Cadan didn't argue with her idea of not sleeping by a grave and took up more travel with her. THe further they got however the more he began to feel the need for rest, till finally they found a place suitable enough. However it seemed to be occupied by the pair of horses grazing. He looked to Luka when she spoke about a pair looking none too harmful and he gave it a look. In all honesty they didn't. He gave a shrug, as if to tell her he didn't mind. "Might as well be nice I guess. We did stumble on them." He said keeping his voice low as to give them option to walk, though the pair must have noticed something was up by now at least... ~~~ Speaking of the Dalish, in came little Ariane with that bright little expression of hers. Maraas noticed she was ignored by the pair, but hardly cared. She wasn't much for conversation since she had little to discuss with the elf girl. However it seemed to be a point of concern for the girl that even lead her to apologize. Maraas simply gave her a nod however, her look softening slightly to more approachable in a way. "It is no trouble. I did not take offense." She said though she decided perhaps she should answer the question. "I am fine however. How are you doing?" She asked, just asking a similar question since that seemed to be the polite thing to do in this culture.

Libby was calmly bumming to herself when she heard people near by. She had already come up with a story as to why Ashiron was practically in a Coma, since he got beat down too hard he had to recover. She had taken a bath and cleaned the blood from both of them to avoid trouble later. She was still letting her blond hair air dry but it was taking a while. She however had her sword next to her in case they were hostile. When they came threw the bushes however she noticed a girl first then a Templar. She stood, leaving her sword on the ground and smiled at them. "Oh, hello, Would you like to share our fire?" She asked politely to them since she couldn't tell them she was a Templar but she could be nice to one. When the girl nodded and accepted the invite they came and sat down. "Sorry to kinda drop in on you like this we just got off the road." She said as she looked the blond over. She was small but didn't look too dangerous but she was tired. She knew Cadan would protect her in her sleep so she could sleep soon. Libby shook her head," Not a problem A Templar is always welcome at our fire. My husband there is a Templar. However he is exhausted so I gave him some remedy to sleep and I think he might have drank a bit much." She said with a light giggle. She however was internally cringing at calling that filthy mage her husband- he was so mean and cruel, she couldn't ever love some one like that. "You can call me Leane for short, and this is my -fiancé." She said taking Cadan's arm with a sly smile. She turned her head away a bit and blushed, but it was all an act. Libby smiled at her words," Oh! How wonderful! I'm guessing its a bit of an arranged? yes? You sound like your from Tevinter... where are my manners- whats your name? I'm Libby."
--------------- Fenris smiled at Maaras's response to Araine. "I am a bit flustered but perfectly good. Thank you. Oh, Fenris...I was wondering if you wanted to accompany me on a walk later this evening?" He smiled at her deviousness in all of her innocents but he nodded so it was a silent answer, one she was apparently wanting. "Alright I'll see you then. I have a few more people to speak with. excuse me please." She said as she stood and went to the next group over but did in fact glance over her shoulder to see if they were talking about it. Fenris smiled at her making her cheeks go red and he snickered again. "Life is full of fun surprised huh Maaras?"

Cadan kept Luka within reaching distance, his eyes taking in everything around him as they moved in closer. The pair seemed under, one sleeping soundly while the woman seemed to be keeping watch. Her sword caught Cadan's eye before she did, mostly because the make was quite nice for someone humble.... He looked to the woman and actually was surprised to find she was quite attractive. However looks were always a woman's weapon, just as deadly as any sword. He kept an eye on her as she spoke, mentioning her husband being a Templar. His eyes briefly went to the male and his brow furrowed some at the male. He looked foreign, such white hair not a common sight in Fereldan... Cadan's attention was stolen back at Luka's words, her name and story surprising him some. He looked down at her when she took his arm, her sly little smile telling him she had something planned. He didn't care much for her way of playing it but he would play along. "The names Collin... It's a pleasure Libby. Too bad about your husband, it'd been nice to hear from a familiar side of things." He gave her an easy smile, though there was a polite surprise there. "I'm surprised you recognized her accent though. Some can't seem to place it." He said giving Luka a small look that could have been taken as loving by some, but to her it should have held an almost humor. ~~~ Maraas watched the little exchange and found herself scoffing at his comment afterwards. "Some are fun yes...Though take care not to let it tempt you. Nature needs structure." She said, repeating what the priests told her about why it was her father and mother were a bad thing, why she was different. She never thought it a bad lesson, or even a bad situation. She really felt nothing on it, just enlightened that every decision had consequences and gains. She kept her smirk as she dusted off the little music box and tucked it away, turning her attention to a bit of dried meat she had brought. She preferred the taste to the stale bread.

"Oh? My husband if from Antiva- well closer to the Imperium but oh well...I was traveling and I met him there- I'm just good at accents and placing them. Its a pleasure to meet you Leane and Collin. So how did you meet? If you don't mind me asking." When asked how they met Luka smiled as she took a seat and patted the ground next to her, motioning for him to sit. "Well, I was Sent south from Seheron just before the war and was raised here by my aunt, and I was visiting my brother in the mages circle here-and I ran into this dashing young Templar." She said telling the story as if it were just yesterday that it had happened, the stary eyes and all. She sounded a bit nervoue however that was attributed to being to close to Cadan or so Libby thought. "Ah, how sweet. I'm glad you two weren't forced together. Arrangements suck. Oh well- Food?" Luka shook her head with a smile," No thank you- we have our own- we don't want to intrude on your supplies. I'm sure you know about a Templars need for order". She made a Joke. Libby laughed at it however she found it rude. yes they were usually made into order compulsed however it wasn't their fault and their planning was usually well done if done properly. However she was playing the stupid wife, while the husband slept. In all honesty Luka wouldn't put it past travelers like this to Poison others. She moved her eyes to Cadan and smiled a bit playfully," Would you please go grab our saddle bags? Oh but leave my make up bag, I don't think I'll be needing it tonight-I haven't been wearing make up all day." She said putting her hands on her cheeks to cover a slight blush as she acted the complete part of a girl in love. She hoped he understood what her 'make up bag' was- her blades were on her horse because she didn't want to over intidemade the girl in their first meeting.

Cadan sat back during the talk, letting Leane do the talking since it was her lie to build. He would play the part but he wasn't too good at making a convincing case of a lie on the spot. Her description of their first meeting was just enough to get Libby off the story. It was almost comical to him how Luka could bat her eyes and play the love struck girl, if it hadn't been almost cute. She was a pretty girl, but knowledge that her personality was much more complex than the fluff she was presenting was more reassuring. He wouldn't trust a twittering girl the same way he could the head strong woman he had seen her be. He let the thought drop when they were offered food and he almost objected for them, but Luka acted first. Her comment about Templar order made him actually chuckle, though he brought his hand to his chin to almost hide a bit of the smile. It was very true, him more than some perhaps. He liked structure, it made him feel prepared and comfortable but that was what came with the training. When she asked him for her saddle bag just not her make up, a brow went up in question. He didn't get it at first, not till he thought that the only bags she had were the one carrying supplies and the other carrying her daggers. He blinked and nodded, getting to his feet. So she felt it was safe enough without them, fair enough. He however didn't quite yet think he could sleep like this. But he could do as she asked since it was an easy task. "Good, I think you look just as lovely without it..." He said more or less complimenting her for real, for show, and to tell her he understood and was happy she didn't sense much of a threat. He left to go grab their things, though stayed a bit to at least give his sword a look. He would take it, since it came with the uniform... ((Lol I love it))

As he got up she smiled at his compliment however it was a real smile form her as she was used to smiling with him. He was a god guy and this was just a fun lie. She had the option to say brother, cousin, anything really but Fiancé was much more fun. With a smile that was a bit more dull she turned to Libby and shrugged happily. She asked Luka wondering why they were out here of al places. Luka sighed a bit unhappily but kept most of her expression the same," Templar business, I just wanted to tag along and he couldn't tell me no." She said with a bit of a blush," Besides what Man doesn't want his pretty wife- or in my case soon to be wife- along with them on a long trip?"They both giggled however Libby's eyes narrowed a bit at Ashiron's sleeping form. her smile dulled a lot," Yes, well they can be a pain, so keep your eyes and ears open." She said almost as offering some advice. She nodded just as Cadan come back into the clearing. "Welcome back my love, and thank you for grabbing these. I'm just so sore from riding that horse, I'm not as used to it as you are." She pouted a bit, her voice sounding a bit hurt but happy still more playful then naught.
----------- Fenris glanced back over at Maaras and nodded," I'm not going to sleep with her out here in the woods. Just to talk I assume, probably trying to figure out what we are to each other and what can happen down the road, as things usually are." He said with a smile to Maaras. He glanced about with a smirk before looking back to her, his mood much better then earlier," She might be pretty but I'm not that dumb, however thank you for the word of caution."

Cadan smiled at her when she made a comment about being sore from riding. He knew that was a whole load of crock. She was a better rider than him, it showed in how her horse responded to her. He however placed her bag next to her and nodded. "Then rest well tonight. We have a lot more travel ahead of us and we wouldn't want our families thinking I let harm come to you over this trip." He said, knowing she actually was tired, it showed in her face after they buried that mage. He was looking out for her, though it seemed Luka hardly needed it at times. However an alternative reason was the higher powers they faced in all this. They had two very powerful factions vying to find this mage alive and it was his job to make sure both he and Luka got out of Fereldan safely. ~~~ Maraas blinked, her brows furrowing when he said he wouldn't sleep with Ariane out in the woods. She hadn't meant that, more along the lines of not trusting her with too much at one time. She may be a nice girl, but bad people were able to break those people a lot quicker. But it was at least something to know, though she could careless as long as he didn't wind himself up in trouble. "I never thought you were stupid." She admitted but guessed he was just saying it in good fun. "I hope you enjoy your talk." She said though she did wonder if the girl would pursue him.

She smiled at him almost fondly in truth but she assumed he would take it as part of the play. She didn't mind however she as exhausted. She took some food from her own pack and passes him some as well. Letting Libby finish braiding her long blond hair while they ate. Once Luka was done and had her small fill she stretched, and began taking off her armor, only leaving her in leather pants and her corset however it covered her. She was used to how things worked but never minded. She put her armor by her and arranged it so she could use it as a back rest, however frowned at it. Weathered travelers were the ones to sleep on armor by a tree she was playing a dainty flower engaged to a Templar. "There all put up for the night. So it can breath. I'm off to bed. Good night Libby, Collin." She said Libby's name normally however stated His fake cover with a bit of hesitance and a blush. She took a seat by him again only took her saddle bag and used it as a pillow next to him and the fire where a normal girl would sleep. ------------- Fenris laughed at her words and nodded," Indeed. I know. That is if I will go. Some how I thing things won't go the way I want them to go. but oh well. That's life."He said before waiting about a bit until she caught his eye by waving him over towards the woods. He nodded and left quietly to walk with her however he was wondering what was on the girls mind. They walked quietly for a short bit until Araine stopped and turned to him, her face serious. "My father said you were a mage..." Fenris head the reserve in her voice she was holding her emotion out of it on purpose it seemed. "He is correct, I am a mage, just as Seb-by was. However I am no blood mage. and I have never lied to you." He said with a clear conscience wondering what was up. His answer however seemed to be what she wanted, because she smiled. "I'm glad you have been honest. I however haven't. I am an apprentice keeper...My father doesn't want me to be- but he will allow it sooner or later. I know a small bit of magic myself. I wanted to make sure you wouldn't judge me." He smiled at her," Why would I judge you because you are a mage? Its not like I'm a Templar Araine..." She nodded, her cheeks blushing a bit before she took a step towards him her face stubbornly set and her pretty face intent on his. "I wanted to be sure...Your not form our lands...I didn't know. However I like exotic things better then common things." She said as a flirty remark. He however didn't take the bait. "Is that a fact. Well, was there anything else you wished to talk about?" He said changing the subject to something not on that side of things wondering what else she had in her pretty little head. She huffed and narrowed her eyes," Alright, play hard to get- why are you with that Qunari? What is she to you anyhow?" Fenris had also been expecting this. "She is my good friend and traveling companion. Since I'm a mage- I like having some physical support to keep the manual issues at bay." He said before giving her a look with a smirk," Were you jealous?" he asked almost increduilously to her wondering what her issue with Maaras was. "So you don't think she is prettier then me?" Fenris couldn't believe her complex in herself and her external beauty. However he knew she wasn't as innocent as he first believed. She was too forward for that, she just came of as innocent and dumb.

Her little act now through for the evening, he let her relax next to his like any girl would attempting to get rest. He would have told her the tree would have been better than the knots she would get sleeping on the ground flat like that, but he kept his mouth shut. At least here she was close if he needed to wake her. He was rather surprised at just how good she was at playing a part. It was rather sketchy to see but at the same time he saw the fun in it. At least she seemed to have fun playing the doe eyed Templar's fiancé and he didn't mind playing the man she had an interest in. He let his eyes go from Luka to Libby. "If you don't mind me asking, what sector is your husband located?" He asked, since Fereldan had many different sectors that answered to a regional Knight Commander. The Circle was considered an entity all its own and functioned that way but he still knew of other places outside the Circle. Also tales of her husband being from near Tevinter...well that struck him as a little odd but not enough for any real red flags. ~~~ Maraas looked up when she felt someone coming toward her and found it was a small elf, one that was probably only 8. She seemed to be curious, since her eyes were watching the music box. The minute she noticed her looking, she backed off, looking a bit startled. She tilted her head, before she quietly moved the music box closer, scooting it enough away from her that she could see it without having to be near her. She understood the elf's hesitance. Children tended to be a bit more leery than others. She seemed to take notice that she moved it closer and the child moved toward the box, though her eyes stayed on Maraas. She knelt in front of the box, picking it up and staring at it like it were the prettiest thing in the world. Maraas smiled a bit, that was till the child shook the box as if that would make it start. Maraas stuck out a hand and the child instantly slunk back. "I can start the song again for you." Maraas said and the little girl blinked, her brows furrowing like Maraas might be lying. She bit her lip, looking down at the box in her hands before she finally seemed to relent. She slowly handed the box to Maraas, who in turn wound the little butterfly, letting the music flow from the box. the little girl gave a giggle of happiness before she looked at Maraas. "Thank you." She said, before she gave a little twirl at the sound of the music. Maraas nodded and laid back on the ground, her hands behind her head. She ignored the girl for the most part, till the child heard her name being called and she scurried off. Maraas was surprised the child waved to her before she left, but took it all the same that the child at least wasn't frightened of her anymore.
