He nodded understanding her well and smiled at her humor," I hope so." He said quietly tyo himself as he walked with her along the roads. He was tired for sure but he figured they would stop and camp later that eveing so he could wait to sleep will then. ~~~ Glancing over her shoulder and giving him the same smile as before she looked him over," Well that would be because they don't know my name here. However they come by it honestly they don't know what they can't hear." She mounted on her horse before turning to look at him properly," Luka by the way, Its nice to have a name for a face Cadan." She waited for him to mount up as htey headed out where they had heard they left at, it was odd looking for some one you saw everyday to figure out theyw ere suddenly mising and there was a huge gap there like some one threw a stone in a river- seperating the water and causing ripples... ------------- Pacing in her brothers room she looked over everything again, looking at hte smeared blood on the walls, dried and flaking now, barely there really. His room was untouched and under watch, she was allowed since she was his younger sister, the only other Merseth left. Frowning at the empty space she sighed and walked to the window that was opened. Glancing down she saw the port and a few ships docking, hearing a few gulls calling and the men yelling for rigging and lines to be cast. It was normal to hear htis as well as the dull noise of the markets, it was all lively but evey one was totally alone here- itw as every one for themselves-her broher never knew that to be honest. Father made sure of that much to make sure she coudl'nt surpass him and take the house seat, giving him the present of a lifetime for him to waste it. He used magic yes but for others- to help others never self improvment of to show his power- as anyone and everyone else here did. He was strange here in Tevinter to have a kind heart- but it was usually killed after a while but none were Magister's to be- but she was hoping he was dead so she would become in power. However she sent off hte best she could find so it seemed hse was genuine in finding her brother, however she wished he would be found face down in a feild surrounded by filth- as he should have been...

((Carabiner is what autocorrect thinks Cadan's name is lol)) Cadan saw her smile at her her mixed words and he gave her a polite look when she introduced herself. Luka...it was a name he hadnt heard before but he found it suited her. "Like wise Luka." He said before he mounted, looking around him at the different ways they could head. "Do you think he'd stick to the road or head out into the rough? Most mages from here choose roads so they can pick up travelers to take them further." He said, in just suggestion since she knew his personality better. ~~~ Maraas began to yawn about mid day, her eyelids drooping over her violet eyes. She hasn't had decent sleep last night and the night before. She was the type person that stayed up for as long as they could and then crashed. Usually that's what a job demanded and she was willing to put forth that effort. She however was alert and heard some shouting and cursing ahead. She blinked and looked up to see a cart in the distance on the side of the road. It was slanted to one side, it's wheel busted from hitting a rock apparently. It was a merchants cart, that much was obvious. Not to mention a Dwarven merchant by the short man throwing a fit on the side of the road. She sniffed a bit and didnt smell any recent smoke for this to be an ambush point for bandits but she was still wary of the dwarf. Just because they were small didn't mean they couldn't kick someone's ass. She would let Fenris decide how he wanted to move however, since she was unsure herself.
((Can be bandits, a Samaritan needing help, or something else. Just thought it would be interesting))

She listened to Cadan speak as she thought about what he would have done in that instance. " The boy would stay on the road but not for long, he would think of it as dangerous ... I however can't predict where he would go- it depends on his moods really." She said as she thought hard about where he would have been. Looking down her hair fell into her face as she thought about what the elf would do. She had no idea really, she just had to guess and try to predict what he would do. --------- Fenrir looked ahead at the cart on the side of the road but glanced over at Maraas. " you think it's safe to stop and help them? They seem like merchants falling on hard times." He said sounding polite but asking her opinion first before he rushed to help some one else. He had a soft spot for people in need as he liked to help others but he knew it could get him killed here so it was up to Maraas now.

Cadan realized with her look just how much Luka seemed to care for.this guy. It struck a chord with Cadan and made him want to do what he could to find him. "Then we'll start with the road and go from there. This was only what a night or two ago..He has to be close." He told her with a softer look that he wasn't sure she even wanted. It just made this situation seem kind of like a sibling mission more than just a lost employer... ~~~ Maraas looked at the cart a long moment, considering his words before she sighed. "We will offer help. But if it gets weird we will leave." She said before they went forward to the cart. The merchant looked irate and didn't seem to notice the two till the cart a shadow on his cart. He worked with wide eyes as he took in Fenris v first then Maraas. He instantly paled. "Please don't rob me! I only have small crafts from Ozimmar! Nothing you bandit need!" He growled making Maraas shake her head. "We don't want to rob you but help--" "You think I'm falling for that? I may be a dwarf from the underground but I'm no fool! I know what you Qunari are hired for--saw a merchant get torn into bits by one of your renegade bullies! And don't get me started on the people here! Won't stop and help unless they get paid to!" The dwarf was yelling and talking too fast for Maraas, making her stare at the dwarf dumbly . He mistook it for aggression however and took a step back and looked to Debris. "Look pal call your beast off and maybe we can work a deal..huh?" He said and Maraas blinked at him, not meaning to but she frowned and her eyes narrowed as she tried to decipher his fast words, making her look ominous instead of just confused like she was.

She smiled at his words and how honest he sounded. "Thanks for being the navigator Cadan...I think I might have missed a lot of ground with out you here helping out." She said spuring her hrose on down the road looking quickly for people and or traces of people- she didn't have time to track him by prints and the like- that would take too long. ~~~ When the man asked for a deal Fenris burst out laughing, he coudn't help it. He knew dwarves to be untrust worthy but this was pathetic here in Ferelden. "You silly Dwarf! I don't wnat to make a deal, I wanted to know if ytou needed help, I'm a traveler myself, a little kindness goes a long way." He said before glancing over at Maraas and touching her arm lightly," He is just scared Maraas, If you need help understanding him let me know. I will try to help you understand." He said being conciderate as he saw ehr expression and took it for confusion when hse heard him speak since he had spoken quickly. Not hte best when one was trying to figure out your meanings. "If you won't accept our free help then we can move on- We meant you no harm, truly." He said making it sound like the last standing offer to the Dwarf- if he coudn't relax they would leave, it was simple.
((I figure they would pull off hte road adn camp- easrly in the afternoon bc htey are tired and luka and Cadan will straight up pass htem lol ))

Caden gave her a smile at her thanks, noticing she seemed a bit happier to be on the road again. "No trouble. That's what I'm here for." He said before he couldn't help his eyes wandering to her daggers and the shape of her armor. She was a fighter, a light weight armor meant something to do with stealth. He saw the way she rode horses like a pro rider and knew this wasn't her first time on a trip like this. "Call it a Templar's intuition, but you seem to have skill though in tracking. I haven't seen many people from Tevinter till this week honestly, but you're a bit different than what most of Ferelden thinks...it's a nice change in all honesty." ~~~~ Maraas looked to Fenris during his explanation and nodded with a bit of understanding, her features instantly softening. She took a step back then, to almost give the dwarf some space. She couldn't blame the small man for being scared of two tall people. The dwarf looked perplexed when Fenris began laughing and stared him down for a long moment, as if trying to figure him out. When he offered free help the dwarf looked slightly wary but nodded. "Then that is a kindness a rightly can't afford. But if your willing to help, that wheel is bent, the axel isn't snapped. Just the wheel's rim was knocked off kilter. I could use the man power to lift it, just to realign the wheel." He said, making it clear he needed the help enough to trust the strangers. "I didn't mean to be offensive really. It's just hard to find actually nice people out here, especially near a port. Got robbed a few miles back near the city. They say it was a thief in the middle of the night, I say it was the damn guards picking on the little man. Whatever I've got enough stories on that thick mess of debauchery and scum." He said before looking to Maraas who hadn't spoken. She simply moved next to Fenris, looking expectant to find out what she had to do. She didnt understand the talk of axels and things, since the dwarf was talking too fast again. She just heard blurbs and made an effort to understand. "He needs to fix the wheel, yes?" She asked before looking at the cart still stuffed with wares. "I can help lift if I have help." She said, guessing that was what they needed. The dwarf looked her over before frowning. "Ain't you a bit short honey?" She looked to the dwarf and gave him a proud look that had a rather darker appeal to those that didnt know her. "I am capable." She told him simply, making the dwarf ease back since he didnt want to piss her off. "Dwarves are strong. Help me. Fenris you can figure out the wheel?" She asked, her look much more eased as well as her voice since he wasn't considered a stranger to her.

Luka heard his words and turned to look at him her brows furrowed a bit. " I'm not from the Imperium originally- I'm from Seheron...Before the Qunari invasion. however it is noce to see some one from Fereldan being freindly to an outsider- never see much of that here." She said in a lightly teasing tone returning her eyes to the road, slowing down however when she saw a flank of guards counting money making her frown, "LIke that- thier own men- sworn to protect and serve its people will rob them blind...What poor merchant or traveler did they impoverse?" She said souinding utterly disgusted as she looked at hte guards as they approched wondering if they woudl do her the honor of letter her skin them alive- she doubted it but she could always hope. That was dashed the moment she rememebred she was in the company of a templar- they wouldn't go agaisnt their presious chantry rules or its enforcers. She spat on the ground towards them, cursing in teveinter- calling them robbing sneivels who weren't worth the scum between the dark spawns toes. She doubted anyone there spoke old imperium speak so she didn't have a probem talking this way. She shook her head in the disgusted manner and kept riding, the guards she didn't even care about any longer- the damage was done and she coudnl't have helped for all she knew the traveler they had beseiged was dead... ``````````````````````````````````` "I can help there, yes Maraas- help him lift the cart- I'll reset the wheel with the other dwarf there." He watched the two lift the cart- seeming like Maraas was doing all the lifting however he didn't waist time however he and the other dwarf who looked unsure helped reset the wheel where it went and it was fixed easily they just needed more help was all. Once it was reset he loved away and the cart was put back down, he turned to smile at maraas, " Ataash varin kata, thank you." He said to Maraas hoping she understood his Qunari words over his accent that was strange- she had said so herself before. He turned back tot eh Dwarf and smile at him politly ," Your welcome. Try to be a bit more open minded with willing travelers. Where are you headed- if i can ask?"
He was curious because company was hte best way to hide in a place so forign to him and he figured both of them needed to lay low a bit after inceddent in the last town.

Cadan had to think a moment on exactly where Seheron was. He remembered hearing about the Qunari's loose rule back when he spent time in his fathers office. He told him once that the Tervinter were struggling to gain control again while some locals fought the Qunari. It was an interesting island, one he hadn't anticipated. He rode near her but kept an eye out to the guards they passed. They left them be at sight of him, but he noticed their pockets were fat with coin that shouldn't have been theirs. Their reaction at Luka's spitting at them was priceless but backed down when Cadan 's horse weaved in front of them and stepped heavily passed, a warning not to follow or try her. He was quickly at her side, looking over her severe look. "Not everyone is like that. There is a lot of good, its just harder to see with all the bad I guess." He said before he decided to perhaps move on with the conversation. "So what was your reason for going to tervinter?" He asked as small conversation. ~~~ Maraas gave a bit of a giggle at Fenris's words, clapping him on the shoulder. "Yes. Our forefathers will be proud." The dwarf looked gleeful as he looked his cart over. He clapped his hands with a gleeful chuckle before looking to Fenris. "Headed to Denerim. Lovely place with markets and things for trade." He said before he looked him over. "I need to repay you two for your help..." He said, not sure what to offer them.

Fenris smiled back at her motion of his words, he returned his attention to the dwarf then and smiled," perhaps let us travel with you? We can provide some protection perhaps?" He said with a smile as he wondered what the dwarf would think of that- if not they would keep on as usual. It didnt bother him any but he was curious what he would say, also how Maraas felt about it," how do hou feel about that Maraas?" ------ She scoffed at Cadan," sure if you say so, ill just let the scum die in times of trouble...i had no choice to leave my home- my father sent me off a day before the whole town was enslaved and brainwashed...i was shipped out and treated like a slave- i am not however I am a free woman. I was raised on he streets avoiding demons and blood mages my whole life then I was taken in by the Merseths... They gave me a home, clothes, food , a purpose..." She said with a sad yet confident tone as she looked ahead of them as they rode on. She was temember h hellish life she had before she met the family." Fenris's father took me in to be a maid however when some one tried to assassinate the young one, i slit his throat instead and cleaned up the body but i was caught bu the other staff a d beated for killing some one else however the master saw my skills and promoted me...i was made his and his young sister protector." She said in a relaxed tone after a moment," that bitch used blood magic so she can protect her damned self now... Fenris still needs me." She said with a small smile.

The dwarf and Maraas both seemed surprised about Fenris's offer. "That's kind of you but..." He glanced at the Qunari female who looked back at the dwarf. "You two are nice granted, but I can't promise you much. My supplies are what they are and it might be a bit of a rough trip." Maraas looked to Fenris then, her eyes battering a few times before she nodded. "I trust your judgment." She said, since he was who she had promised to protect. The dwarf looked between the two before his lips pulled into a half smile, making his curled and braided brown beard quirk to one side. "Then I suppose that is a fair reward...Well there is room enough in the cart so you don't have to walk. We'll be stopping for camp a little further up. I don't travel at night. Dangerous on these roads here." He suddenly however gave them a small bow. "The name is Tomlinn. Friends on the surface call me Tom. Now we can get better acquainted on the road. I have a schedule to keep." He spoke too fast and Maraas looked a bit confused but Tom looked to her and gave the cart a point. "You want ride?" He sounded out each word like he would to a child but Maraas didn't notice. She nodded and looked to Fenris. "You speak better than the imekari-bas....." She said calling the dwarf like a child, or small. She saw a space on the cart and took it, leaning against a barrel of sweet smelling something and finding the seat was much needed. She patted the wood next to her for Fenris and looked to the dwarf. "I am Maraas...greetings Tom." She said with a bright almost dingy smile before she looked to Fenris, wondering if he would introduce himself due to the fact he was having to hide... ~~~ Her life was a lot rougher than he expected, but really who's life wasn't. He couldn't say a similar story or relate much to scrapping your way to the top. She did so through blood and effort.... He was the son of a lord that was a tyrant. One that sent his daughter away to be a prisoner of the circle and disowned his son when he followed. If anything his family members were no better than those guards back there...all except Brielle however.... He tensed, unable to help himself, when she mentioned blood magic. He quelled the pain however and looked ahead instead of at her. It made it easier to calm the screwed up memories that invaded his thoughts and kept him from subconsciously trying to rub the non existent blood from him that he felt on his skin. "He's lucky to have someone that cares to this extent. Not many can say that they'd have someone that would...follow them anywhere to make sure they were safe." He said keeping his good composure.

He shook her head," no he dosent truat me obviously, else he would have spoken up- not just staged his death then run away... Im not like him- he is not like me either, i hadto fight for everything Ive ever had- he was waited on hand and foot...his sister was spoiled from it, he wasnt he was sweet and caring...now im afraid he will be spoiled by this- killed even because he trusts too easily." She said her voice not sounding too confident any longer. " i have done a lot of things that haunt me Cadan to get here today... Ive done terrible things to myself and my family...its me who dosent deserve to be here looking for him. Im rambling im sorry..." She said taking a flask fromher hip and took a rather lon drink from it, her face screwed up from the bitter taste. It was a strong tevinter port that she carried with her because of times like this. She would get flash backs kf her memories about how she had to kill her own family to serve a new family. The man she said she kwed a lot to- fenris's father, made her kill her own family- she however let her brother run away in hops he wouldnt find out. However he did- years down the road and she paid for it. She had a nasty scar on her right arm where the man cut her deep- infact to her bone where he took a sliver of it and stabed her little brother with it- in his neck- spilling his blood then made he watch the life fall from him slowly bleeding out- leaving her there for two days in the blood and the body was there stagnet with blood and heat. It was her punishment- and then man twisted blood magic to them so she had to do as was said and cant take revenge for it... If she didnshe would die- she was made very clear about that- before she tried and collapsed she learned her lesson with the pain. She knew ways of getting back but they were so small... They didnt really count- now that the man was dead however she was fewrful wether the magic was still there she didnt know how magic worked after all.
She looked ahead of them with a bitter loom on her fce before offering the flaskto Cadan, having seen his sligh expression during this conversation," no more talking about our pasts please..." She asked softly, her mind was reeling now and jt ws hard to think right completly however in a fight she was readily avaliable just not memories. ----- Fenris smiled," good- no worries over supplies i have money for the both of us- so there js no worries. That sounds like a plan. I am Fenris- pleasure to meet you tom." He said as he followed after Maraas and took a seat in the cart with her. He realed as he looked around makin sure his staff was well situated and not bothering anything he glanced at the things about him smirking at what Maraas was leaning against," im glad you decided to come with me Maraas, it makes me happy onknow there is some one i can trust." He said smiling at her since she said she would protect him, he knew she would even if he was discovered neither would go down with out a big fight.

"Agreed." Cadan said as he took the flask from her, knowing it was better that way. Neither of them had comparable pasts and he couldn't claim to begin to understand the depth of hers. Pasts were important and made the person...but not for passing allies that were forced to work together. He was not meant to be in her head or life, just there to provide support when needed against threats and make sure this mage was found safe and alive. Then he could get back to that Circle...live to see another mage die at the hands of the Fade...or hunt down some other mage that decided to run... He had yet to even hear from his commander what was being done with Brielle's body. He was taken from her and locked in that damn room so that he could calm down. From what he understood from past association with Malificarum, she'd be burned...the ashes tossed somewhere...Who knew at this point. He took a drink of whatever was in that flask but ended up having to force it down and struggle over his coughs. "Makers breath--that shit's powerful. What is it?" He said handing her back the flask to get the stuff far from him. He wasn't much for alcohol but he sure as hell knew that was strong stuff, not on a normal level either. ~~~ Tom reared the ox to life and the large animal lumbered along at its moderate pace. "Maraas and Fenris. Alright, well you two best get comfortable. Denerim is still two days out of our way and the Paragons only know that we aren't making good time." He said but Maraas didn't really notice, she was buisy curiously looking at the wares she could see. She plucked a strange looking piece of armor from the mess and smiled at her reflection in the coppery surface. She noticed her horns had grown a little and she would have to shave them down a bit to keep the points from curving. She looked up from it when Fenris spoke and she gave him a smile. "You may trust me always. You have my respect, Fenris." She said before tossed some of her black hair over her shoulder. "Denerim is a big city. Do you like crowded places?" She asked, since she had heard from another merchant that Denerim was very loud, crowded and busy. She had never been there because apparently she was looked at kinda funny the further she got into Fereldan.

She smiled faintly at his response to the liquor. "Its tevinter Port- very strong. I take it you don't drink?" She said taking her flask and putting it back in her carrier on her hip for it. Fassening the teather that kept it there and took the leads in both hands again. "That makes me want to ask Cadan- can we sleep at an inn tonight? I feel like drinking...Its been a hard ride so far. What do you say?" She said trying to convince him to it wondering if he would agree-she liekd sleeping in beds but she also liked getting drink when she had a bad day in remembering her past. She liked ot black it out so she didn't have it agian in her mind- taining her thoughts. ~~~ "My home land is crowded in the markets- I wans't allowed to go there but I always saw how busy it was.It should be a fun experience right Maraas?" HE said as he watched her look at her reflection and mess with her horns, that was hte first time he actually saw them really. He looked her over properly and saw that she did infact have horns and the stoic look of a true Qunari but softer features of a human, he however didn't see either really- he saw an individual whom he trusted now. He wasn't judgemental in anyway besides in if she was honest or not but he knew the Qunari to be honest people.

Cadan gave her a rueful smile at her comment about the drink. "At times I do. But I haven't had a chance to drink much around the Circle, Chantry thinks its poison and calls it all a sin." He said, being clear he had no problems with it personally. At her question, he thought it over and gave her a nod. "If that's what you would like to do, I see no harm in it. There's bound to be a small town around here that will have some of Fereldan's less than finest but still pretty damn good." He was trying to hopefully ease things down from the earlier mistake he made of bringing up her past. She was honest enough to answer him, but at the expense of making herself miserable. It was sad really... ~~~ Maraas moved her hair back into place again, her horns being hidden beneath her thick raven ringlets. She looked to Fenris when he spoke and she looked almost excited. "Yes, that will be fun. Especially if you have not been to one. Markets are full of cool things to look and some to buy." She told him, thinking he didn't know what a market was if he hadn't seen one. Qunari were very visually oriented after all. "Fun experience. Are you two blind and daft? Markets are hardly fun places. Theives everywhere and no offense pretty boy but you look high born so people will try to take you for everything you've got." Tom said, making Maraas blink. "Why would he be offended to be called pretty?" She asked, always thinking that was a compliment. "No, girly, not like that. I'm meaning he might get taken advantage of. Hell you just might be in a similar boat..." She tilted her head, not getting the reference so she just nodded since she understood the first bit. "I won't allow that. Fenris is smart too. He will be fine." She put the plate armor down so that she could look at the landscape.

She laughed at the comment about what the chantry thought," Your chantry is filled with tight asses who liked ot remember thier books- ours is filled with those who wish to stay alive- letting hte mages do as they please...The templars are the personal soilder's of our mageisters...Furious things however they are prone to corruption and freely use Lyruim- often enough.I hate politics..."She nodded when he said they could stop at an inn, meaning a thanks but she didn't really feel like saying it quite yet. He seemed prety coolf or a templar in Fereldan a bit of a skeptic but alright by her. He seemed to ahve a bit to forget as well, probably bottled things up like her but she didn't mind. She was hopeful that she didn't snap at him but she did need a drink to keep her mind busy and her emotions at bay. ~~~
Fenris nodded understanding the Dwarf but sighed," Its not like I can do much about what I look like- I am high born-so perhaps I can just threaten htem to leave me be? I doubt it however with a member of the Qun- Meaning Maraas here they will be weary to approch me. If not I will just shun them from me- I don't need them to sell me things- I jsut want to look. Theyw ill know if anything catches my eye -I will ask about it." He said reasonably enough since he had taken a few trips to the market and had a personal escort with him to keep others away and off of him at his fathers command that was. He didn't care to go out guarded as he had to- he liked ot talk to people and see them and interact but his fahter disapproved of that a lot. His heavy sigh he pushed that from his mind and looked about at hte land scape- it was slowly becoming flat and more grass was visible but still rocky outcrops were every where., a few trees here and there providing pockets of closure and comfort but they were scares in large stashes it seemed.
