Ari giggled at his attempt at putting the focus all on him sell. he did seem to have a self loving complex but she did prefer that to his drinking ass up in the bar.... she sighed enjoying the warmth of his back and his cadence. she didn't know how far they would be walking, but she was worried she would get heavy after too long. " if i get heavy let me know... i can walk. " she offered as she watched the little flame dance around Darcy's head. " i don't know how long a walk it is... but i don't want to over extend you ." she said her gilt coloring her words.

Darcy ignored her talk for a better moment of peace. Honestly, he wouldn't hear much on his ability or being over extended. He could handle himself and others, she should have known that by now. He instead continued to walk into the steadily darkening forest, letting the silence settle between the two. The walk was long and rather boring honestly, with few interruptions beyond a fallen branch or a path that was blocked by a tree or two. Darcy handled each with a level head, ignoring the fact that the weight Ari presented to his back was taking a toll on his legs. Honestly, he had lifted heavier preparing for a travel with a knight or two. Besides, was it just him or was she small? He ignored it and instead griped about how frilly and itchy the dress was on his hands. Finally, when Darcy was near ready to fall over and Lisarial had long since fallen asleep, they stumbled upon the end of the trail. The town was a an early morning active one, surrounded by forest in all directions which seemed to be their enterprise. He could smell the musk of lumber nearby and could see that the men of the town were on their way into the woods no doubt for work. He walked with the still asleep Lisarial to the nearest inn, opting to let her sleep while he handled business. The place was quite empty, save a few guests there from the night before sleeping off their drinks. The tavern maid noticed him coming in with a girl in tow and instantly changed her course for the strangers. "Well well, I spy a cute pair here for the day? Perhaps the night?" She asked with a wink and Darcy gave her a briefly annoyed look that morphed to thought. How else would he explain them traveling alone together, let alone that she was being carried, or that they would need a shared room? That was all he could afford after all... "Y-Yes, my--" He glanced back at Lisarial to be damned sure she was out before he looked back to the maid with a pitiful look, "wife and I were traveling to Soledad when we were robbed. I fended off harm, but we lost everything you see...Poor girl was so overwhelmed I had to carry her here..." The bar maid took a look at Lisarial and placed a hand over her mouth when she saw the state of her dress and the state of Darcy who looked haggard as hell from carrying her around in the woods. She gave a nod, her expression though looked briefly conflicted. "But sir if you seek a room here..." "I anticipate to pay you in full. Through work of any sort. I promise I am more than capable..." He said, which made the maid look even more thoughtful. "Please...for her?" The gesture to the sleeping Lisarial made the maid frown sadly before she gave a quick nod. "Fine fine. You start work immediately. Take her up to your room and I will be sure she gets a warm meal when she wakes." Darcy gave the kind woman a grin, internally sorry that he had to lie to her. Honestly, he would work hard and at least make sure Lisarial got something out of this. He needed money to supply them and to change that god awful dress... He took her upstairs and placed her in the bed gently, making sure she was actually covered before he left. So he had a caring side...big deal. He went to work immediately helping with the boxes of supplies and running errands, making sure that though the work was for peons and demeaning that he was doing his best. By the time he was finished, the sun was up and high in the sky, the heat making him sweaty and even more exhausted than he realized. After accepting what the substancial of the pay after the room charge, he practically dragged himself to the room. Not even checking to see if Lisarial was up yet, he fell face first into the bed, almost forgetting she was there. He nested down into the blankets, his expression that of someone completely relaxed and calm. He hadn't slept well in the last few days and was ready for a good nap at least before he dealt with the rest of this...He still had to figure out what their next move was after losing his brother yet again... ~~~ Dimitri watched her speak the words slowly, his mouth making the shapes her's made with a curious gaze. He knew he couldn't make them perfectly at first, but he would be trying hard to replicate it. He looked at his hands and cupped them like she had when she was showing him the spell. He took in a breath and relaxed himself, trying to do this as easily as possible before he messed something up. He didn't want to harm her after all...he never wanted to harm anyone...He sounded the words out and watched with some attention on his hands in worry that he was doing something wrong. When nothing bad happened he swallowed hard and then decided to try it for real. "Anadl yn gwneud mor ysgafn ar gyfer goleuo" He said his eyes shutting as he said the words. When his breath left him at the last words, he felt an odd sensation run over his hands. He opened his eyes and found an odd light there, not as bright as her's had been but it was definitely there. His eyes widened and it was obvious he was shocked on how to respond. "I--I actually...!" A grin spread on his lips and he looked at Mez with an excited expression. "I actually--You--I!" He dropped the spell and suddenly lunged at her in a hug, allowing it to dissipate into thin air. He realized he suddenly hugged her out of nowhere and was sure she was hella confused so he pulled away quickly, blushing bright red. "Thanks. I'm sorry.. People do that when they are really--uh--excited..." He said, not meeting her eyes shyly.

AS he spoke the spells' more drawn out words she watched as the magic made itself into being as it would have in own hands. She knew Fey magic was good magic- so if he could do this then hew indeed gifted- most human's couldn't achieve even that. Her eyes went to his face with a small smile, seeing his was shocked that he did that. He however seemed overly happy over this and that made her tense just before he tackled her in a hug, making them fall back a bit- but she didn't fall. Mez didn't touch him a bit at a loss as to what this was about. Yes the fey had contact with one another but it was more for siblings and lovers, not friends and such- so this was odd to her. Staying still she waited till he pulled away, getting control over himself it seemed. Her face was a solid neutral still, not letting her thoughts onto her face. When he explained a bit in his human gibberish she assumed it was fine, since she heard a few words she could figure out. "I see." She simply said thought a smile was on her lips that eh was glad be could conjure a small light. That was an easy child's' spell but he didn't need to know what she herself could conjure if needed. If she used her own blood- not all of course- the Fey needed to live long so it made ways to enhance power with blood not using all the blood, just a little. The blood she could use to make something terrible- much worse then a simple curse...Needless to say the Fey were feared for a reason. "I am glad you can do good magic. Not many can cast Fey magic." She said back in simple words to him mostly in Fey to let him know her thoughts, hopefully he understood how special he was.

Lisarail was finally sleeping after her three day binge of no sleep. she had dreaded the idea fearing she would wake up once again in the tower. sleep was a nightmare for Ari and she did her damned best to stay awake. laying again Darcy's back with his warmth and soothing sent as well as his calm manner of walking she was sent drifting off in to a deep sleep. as if making up for lost time Ari slept more then was "acceptable". she didn't even grumble when she was place upon the bed and proceeded to nestle into the soft mattress. Even when Darcy flung him self into the bed next to her she kept on sleeping letting out a quiet snore before moving in closer to his warmth as it was the only thing familiar to her. the sun was well and high in the the sky by time she roused from her deep sleep and nestled into Darcy's side before opening her eye's a little as confusion set in. were was she... she looked around the shabby room and frowned before turning back noticing Darcy. At first she calmly looked at his peaceful face. he did look so much like Delorian... but if she was being totally honest, as she was not willing to be... Darcy had a certain look all of his own. with his confidence... and seeing as she was on a soft bed and even covered by the blankets... he had a curiously caring side. she sighed feeling conflicted as she traced his face with her eye's. he had a very defined face, as strong nose and long eye lashes... he was certainly good looking... another thing she was not willing to admit. after all she could not let things like this happen... again... it was the reason all this started in the first place. it was simply not a place she was aloud to go. Lisarail pulled her self away form Darcy and gently as she did not want to wake him. she got off the bed as to not making a noise. she decided not to make a fuss as she was probably the one that got that close to him in the first place. looking around the room a sadness hit her for a reason she was not sure about. all she knew was she needed to put up a wall. a big wall, a gigantic one! she shook her head as she looked back at Darcy having a hard time looking away. turning towards a mirror she pulled a dissatisfied face. her dress was un-repairable now. lace was missing, seems popped and sagging. her slip could be seen here and there through the holes. she looked a mess her hair knotted and raged. running her fingers through her hair she tried to tame the waves with no luck. she was too ashamed to be seen like this... it was probably the reason Darcy looked down on her. she looked like an untamed kid. sighing she looked back at Darcy wondering if he would wake up or if she should shamefully slink down stairs and find food. " Darcy.... are you awake?" she whispered almost afraid to wake him. moving in to the side of the bed she bend over him slightly. " Darcy...?"

Dimitri looked his hands as Mez spoke as if he still couldn't believe he actually did something like that. He had never cast a perfect spell, not even as a child. He actually did something right...When Mex said most couldn't do Fey magic outside Fey, he gave her a funny look before shaking his head. "No no, that must be easier than you are making it out to be. I...am not good at this at all. Honestly, I'm not just saying that to seem humble. I'm actually the worst." He said, before giving a smile and a small shrug, a smile that was more sheepish than honestly happy. "It must have been a fluke honestly." He said before motioning to the rabbit that was begining to smell actually quite good nearby. He was feeling uncomfortable at the idea that he could cast spells. He spent a life knowing and hearing how terrible he was...it wasn't easy for him to accept that he could do anything... "So the rabbit? Is it near ready. I don't mean to be annoying but I haven't eaten in a while...I've been kind of broke lately..." He said trying to use her language and felt he at least got a few words out completely correctly. ~~~ Darcy slept like rock, mostly due to his own exhaustion and the fact that he was rather comfortable there. Well the bed was shit, that much was to be expected from a cheap in a lumber town. But he was warm and felt like he was actually able to sleep properly. He usually slept poorly, mostly because he was used to things waking him and actually chose to stay awake most of the time or passed out after drinking. It was his usual cycle, to the point he got used to sleeping only with alcohol in his system. But that was hardly decent sleep and definitely never felt like this...He woke at the sound of a female voice calling his name, something that initially confused him. Why would there be a woman in his room at the moment? Didn't they usually see themselves out by the morning? He opened his eyes, his look briefly groggy as he slowly sat up on his elbows to look at the woman with bleary eyes. After a few blinks, he got a good view of them and instantly it came back to him. Oh, it wasn't a bar maid but Lisarial. The girl he was toting around and keeping from danger. Right...He got a look at her hair and a smirk came to his lips though it was slightly lopsided since he was still in the process of waking up. "Mornin', princess. Love what you've done with your hair." He said, actually taking a loose strand that bobbed from the mess near his face. He wasn't exactly making fun of her. Her hair did actually look a little better a bit unkept. It made her look like less of a prude with it so tightly bound to her head. He gave a yawn before easing off the bed, not minding her much after that. He went over to the side of the room where a basin sat below a mirror, water in the pitcher beside it. After preparing the water, he tugged his shirt over his head to at least freshen up a little before they started their day. He could feel the salt on him from dried sweat from the work earlier and he wanted it off. He didn't think much about Lisarial since he didn't see anything wrong with it. He wasn't showing anything that would make a school maid blush and he was a good enough space away from her even in the tiny room to avoid making her feel uncomfortable. He took the water and threw some on his face, using the rag by the basin to at least get his shoulders and arms clean. "By the way, we are going shopping for supplies and a new dress and shoes for you. You need it. That thing's in shambles." He said, motioning to her before his attention went to the door where a knock came. In came the bar maid that helped them earlier, her expression as cheerful as a lark. She gave Darcy a smile showing the tray in her arms that was filled with a serving of food for at least two. "Good morning love birds. I brought you something since you two overslept. Not that I didn't expect it after the traumatic day you two had--" She paused her eyes widening and her mouth falling open when she saw the state Lisarial was in. "Oh my goodness! You poor girl!!! What did those bandits do to that lovely dress? Come come I have a lovely brush and some bows for that hair of yours. Surely your husband will buy you a wonderful new dress. He's been such a help around here this morning. Such a lucky girl." Darcy saw Lisarial looked shocked and something funny was up with her expression so he shot her a look. He gave her a discrete shake of his head. He would explain when the woman left.

She listened to him call himself bad making her frown a bit. He had already changed subjects however she didn't feel like moving on quite yet. "You made us fire did you not?" She questioned him to let him see what she had to say for him. "Human ways are flawed. The language as well. Try Fey- it is better. Better for all." She said to him wanting him to see that she was going to get him to be better when possible. She did turn her hard expression from him to the fire again however and sighed. "Not yet- it needs more time." She said about the rabbits. She however pulled the braid from behind her shoulder and took off the tie there, putting it beside her and upbraiding her hair letting it hang about her as she relaxed. She was getting settled in for the night, however she was sure Dimitri was going to sleep after they ate. He was probably tired and she didn't mind, she felt like she was back to business with watching all night while soem one slept.

Darcy took a moment to wake up witch put a smile on her face for a moment as he leaned up and blinked. she was holding her breath for in just a second when he ruined the mood of the room. she knew her dress and her hair were a mess. he didn't have to point it out in that mater. that or go as far as to be cocky about it... getting up and even stripping! in fount of her... a princess!!!!! she had not seen her self fully naked much less that much of the male body exposed all at once. and to her complete horror. she could not seem to look away from her bare back. lost in her own thought the knock at the door caused her to cry out in surprise as she quickly looked away from Darcy her face pink. and in came a very very poor looking maid. she was cheerful and seemed to be full of energy. she almost scuffed but quickly caught her self and her declining demeanor, " good morning..." she said lightly her words disappearing as the girl made a terrible misconception Darcy... seemed to be in on. Ari gave a bright smile almost stiff from holding in her ire. she kept her mouth firmly closed as she too wanted to convey a message to Darcy... her " husband" . what the hell type of lies was he tossing around.... what a farce... them? the two of them... her and princess and him... a kid? she was almost a thousand years older than him... that and he was Delorian's Grand-Son! she shook her head and took a set at the girls insisting and let her start of the rats nest that rested on her crown. her hair came undone and slipped into neat curls quickly. this was the only thing that has pleased her in the last moments. she decided to play along... for now. " ah... yes...Dar-ling... promised me." she said almost saying his name, she wasn't sure how far is lies went but she new better then to toss around names. she smiled and then giggled lightly waving her hand, " he is so sweet isn't he. " she said looking at Darcy and giving him a slight look. she wanted him to know full well he had a lot of explaining to do when the girl left. " ah... thank you so much... miss. the food looks good... but if you would... my Darling and i need to gather our thoughts and fill our bellies. " she said hinting that she wanted to be alone with Darcy.

Dimitri bit his lip at her mention of the fire, deciding not to go into that. Yes, he eventually made a fire, but that was dumb luck honestly. Darcy was better at fire, always had been. Hell--Darcy was better than him at a lot of things. But that was okay...Dimitri could do somethings Darcy couldn't...and besides. Maybe magic was just something he had to work a little--okay maybe a lot harder at. But it was curious that the fey magic worked however. He enjoyed learning the words well enough and practicing his fey was a nice change of pace to spell studying. Besides, it seemed to make Mez happy. He wondered a moment why she would be out there all alone, traveling through towns of humans and interacting with him. Often Fey kept to their own kind and stayed away from humans unless for specific reasons. Was she in that town for a specific reason? "So, Mez. You said you travel quite a bit. If you don't mind me asking, why? Do...do you like it?" He asked, since it seemed like a better topic than roasted rabbits. ~~~ Darcy knew he was in trouble when he got the look from Lisarial that basically spelled out her displeasure. And hearing 'darling' come out of her mouth was down right odd. He wasn't anyone's darling...especially not this spoiled princess's. But for the sake of both of their asses having a safer, warm place to stay, he was going to have to put up with it--well her...He rolled his eyes at the cutesy giggle and wave. It was too sugary sweet for his taste, especially coming from a woman that hadn't been sweet since he first met her. She was tougher than that mess, whether she chose to show it or not...He dismissed the thought when the maid made an 'aw!' face at the two and turned those doe eyes on him. He gave Lisarial a wink, playing up more charming smile for the view of their audience, "Of course. A little alone time could do us some good, my sweet." As the woman stepped away from Lisarial with a little curtsey, Darcy noticed her cheeks were pink and figured the woman took his words out of context. Good, that meant they would be left alone without all the sappy twittering. "Thank you again for your help. It is much appreciated." Darcy said as he made his way over to Lisarial, scooping up a shirt he had in the process. The woman nodded before leaving the room in a twitter. When the door shut behind her, Darcy waited to hear the footsteps on the stairs before he gave a huff. "Hells bells, these people are even worse than I thought." He grumbled before tugging on his shirt and sparing time to give Lisarial a rather nonchallant look. "At least the little sap knew how to fix your hair. It looks better." He said as he pulled away from her and went to fish for the coin bag he had with his things. With his back to her, he tried thinking out how to explain things where it wouldn't sound as bad as he knew she was going to take it. She wasn't even supposed to know about that little trick of words, but it seemed fate had other ideas. "Look. Small towns like this have even smaller minds. And if you don't play to their ideals then you get tossed out." He turned to face her, leaning against the bed with a matter of fact look. He was explaining it how it was and leaving no room for her to misunderstand his intentions. He would never try such a silly ploy anyways if he wanted anything from her remotely like that. He liked to think he was much smoother and better at flirting than to hide behind childish tricks. "Two foreign strangers wandering out of the woods didn't fit the mold. If we wanted a room that I could afford and where I could keep an eye on you then I had to make up a bit of a story. We are married just until we get out of this town. So just smile and act like we can stand each other so this goes smoothly till we have enough funds and supplies to leave, got it?" He said since he was sure this would be difficult for them both to get along that long but he figured they could suck it up for a day or two. Just till they could be on their way and he could find his brother and she could have her demon killed.

Things were quiet a few moments as she settled in however when Dimitri spoke- asking her about why she traveled, her back went a bit stiff. She wasn't too sure she wanted to explain that to him, but he was honest with her about things so she assumed she should be that way, even if he was a human and didn't completely understand Fey customs. Taking a breath she paused a moment to collect herself a bit better before looking into the fire. Finding it oddly uncomfortable to look at this human for the moment. "The Fey, we follow a very Traditional society, very old and structured. When an elder says that things are a way then they are. Though we are seen as a very unknown people we are quite passionate in our long lives..." She paused after explaining that small part. She was sure some humans had the same issues as everyone did but Fey were very mired in tradition. "I am- " She started but stopped looking a little sad almost a bit beside herself but her pride kept her expression tight and on the fire. "I was once a part of royal Fey blood line...When an elder, who wanted to elevate some one they owed a favor to- proposed that they marry me- some one of a rank much above their own to do such. I however refused thinking my rank would protect me. I had a lover- He was beheaded and I was exiled. My family did nothing to stop this, my own brother, whom I was close with- let them do this...Let them strip me of my rank, let them take my family ring-" She continued on as her hand strayed to the other and touch a pale part on her slender fingers. "I was exiled with nothing but my armor- and my own blade, Forced human side of the wall-the barrier between the Fey lands and the Human realms...So when you ask if I enjoy traveling here- in these foreign lands, then no, I do not- though I have no choice, I have no home there now, this is now my home..." She said quietly knowing this was a lot for the boy to comprehend. It probably wasn't what he had been hoping to find out but he would figure it out eventually- though she doubted the boy knew any other Fey. She looked from the fire at Dimitri, with a small smile, hoping to soften the bow of the information. She used as many human words as she could figure for him but knew this was a hard topic for her, thinking the boy had his own issues.
