The adrenaline. The sound. The beat of the drums and the strumming of the base was enough to make his body explode in carnal excitement. The pure sound of this fast beating music was enough to make any one go crazy with excitement.
Lorne was on the small stage at the Witches Brew Pub. The small gig was enough to get his band mates and him excited. Every time they preformed they got closer to becoming better known in the music world. Of course if Lorne wanted to he could just use his name and money to get them a recording studier and agent however he liked to keep that little secret from his band mates and of course the more time he was out singing, the more time he got to get away from his family. His father was the head of the biggest pharmaceutical company in the nation and he owned many other businesses, making his family one of the richest and most prominent their nation has known. This was a blessing and a curse as he could afford to feed his 'appetite' without question but also his family was very very old world. Lorne didn't particularly hate his family but you see it was cursed. Well to be more specific he was just plain unlucky. Being born into the bloodline of his father was quite the unfortunate draw of the cards. His father was what most would call a demon. Similar to a vampire but not quite and Lorne had gotten his blood, his mother being human gave him advantages and disadvantages. He needed blood as a vampire but when hungry they felt a need for a sexual connection. Lorne could control this desire however, being only half his hunger remained for mostly blood. It was believed that vampire and his type of demon, blood demons as he liked to call it, were once one and the same. Though these things were not on his mind right now. The moment and the lyrics of his bands new song were floating through his pumped up mind. His voice strong and smooth as velvet. It flowed and moved as if water, hitting the perfect pitches and floating down into nothing but the whisper of butterfly wings as the last word floated off into the crowd. It was late at night and the stage of the bar was surrounded by a medium sized crowed. This was usually as it was, Lorne's band name was popular among the night crowd. Then the guitar and drums started going again, a heavier beat this time, strong and heavy. Now it was Lorne's turn a scream and than angry sounding lyrics burst forth from his heart and soul. One of their originals. As he sung his eyes caught hold of a beautiful girl in the crowd, their eyes met and he smiled as he sang, his body moving with the beat, the guitarists head banging and the drummer so into his beat that you could swear it was his own heart. He gave the girl a wink during the ending guitar and drum solo. It was time for the ending song and it was hot so doing something that he almost never did, Lorne took off his leather jacket, slight tribal tattoos patterned across his chest and back in a pale green. He was getting hungry so he would have to hurry home quickly after this was done. The last song was a slow one, his voice seemed to caress his own ears and float out with such emotion towards his crowd. And at the end he threw his jacket up into the air, it landing in the crowd. He cursed mentally as he had gotten caught up with the music. He didn't have time to get it either or something bad was going to happen. Lorne's green, contact wearing, eyes surveyed the crowd and saw that the girl from earlier had caught hold of his jacket. He smirked at the odd humor as he started packing up his own gear. His band mates were all alright with him skipping out on their afterward get together. Running his hands through his gelled up hair, he ran outside. He had to get home anyways as his parents had set up an early brunch date with another girl. She was probably some snobby daddy's little girl as all of them were. He sighed as he jumped into a cab, it taking him almost all the way home. He had to walk the rest of the way to sneak into his home, guitar slung around his back. He also was good at piano and violin but he rarely played those on stage. It was early morning when he woke, taking a shower to get the smell of bar and smoke out of his body as well as to get the gel and other product out of his hair. It had been an interesting night when he had gotten home. Luckily his father has some bags of donated blood left over so Lorne wouldn't have to use a living person again. He hated that. How they squirmed under his grip, muttering curses at him, calling him a monster. After all he was. The tattoos were gone now as they only popped up when his hunger came. He should be good for another week now, his gig had made it harder to control, the adrenalin running through his veins peaking all of his senses. He dressed in a white button down dress shirt, black pinstripe suit pants, and brushed his hair and teeth. He looked respectable and he put on his glasses. That gave him somewhat of a smart looking rich boy look. He wasn't too fond of it but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do. The only time he didn't have to wear eye correcting wear was when he was fully transformed and that didn't happen very often at all. The limo took him to his destination, the whole way there his mother was on the phone with him trying to get him to at least try the girl out. She was a lovely girl and all of that. He just said yes ma'am and sighed as he hung up the phone. Parents...They didn't know when to quit sometimes. Why couldn't he choose his own girl. It would be so much easier that way but no. They had to go old fashioned. Stepping out of the limo, he walked himself into the five star restaurant, the air chilling his skin through his long sleeved shirt. Sitting down he waited for his 'date'. He had a chocolate milk brought over to him and he didn't care if the girl made fun of him as all the others had if he had a brunch date. It was one of his favorite drinks so they could just suck it up. Adjusting his glasses, he took a sip and leaned back into the chair thinking that this was just going to be a pain in the ass and a waste of time.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ((So female of course. I need her to be the girl from the night before and of course she comes from a prominent family as well. After that it's up to you. She doesn't know who he is of course though.))

This was her last chance, after this there would be no more do overs. She had to get it right this time. She had to find the perfect dress, the perfect place, the perfect guy or she would become the black sheep of the family and she defiantly didn’t want that. Though she rebelled against everything, this was one thing she had to do. She loathed the very thought of another cotillion. The dresses, the make-up, the god forbid gossip…to be truthful Rae was more of an adventurous ambitious sports girl but here she was standing in front of another rack of frou-frou frilly pink dresses. Being the black sheep was sounding kind of nice right about now. Rae looked down at her worn and dirty sneakers. She studied them as if in the past year they had changed somehow. Sadly they were the same. She stalled as much as she could but the night was wearing on and she couldn’t bear the thought of trying on another one of those disgusting pink dresses. “Miss?” A tap on her shoulder made her jump “We’re closing” “Oh, sorry” Rae turned and headed out of the store. The street lights were already burning hot and all sorts of people crowded the streets. It was defiantly a Friday night. The further north Rae walked the more the scene around her changed. She kicked herself for sending the limo home, her parents would be royally upset with her when she finally made it home but the limo stood out too much and she hated to draw attention to herself. “Well a few more hours out couldn’t hurt and I could always just call for the limo” she commented to herself. This wasn’t particularly her part of town but she really didn’t want to go home yet and she had heard some good things about this one club. So she decided to check it out before her parents would get her too drowned in work for the cotillion. “Now where was it again?” She questioned to herself as she kept walking down the street, her friend had only given her vague description of where the place was. She walked around for a little bit longer and then decided to just call her friend. She pulled her phone out of her front pocket and ran through her contacts, than she placed the phone to her ear. “Hey B…yea I have a few hours to burn…mhmm” She listened to him and waited on him to shut up and give her directions. About ten minutes later she finally got what she wanted from the call and headed off to the club. It wasn’t that far off from where she had been and she just walked right up to the front door and walked in. “Hey Rae” her buddy called to her and waved her over to a table. The place was already packed with a lot of people and there was a band playing tonight. She made herself nice and comfortable at a table with a drink in hand just immersing herself in the music. Every transition from one song to another was flawless; she wondered who the singer was. His voice was very nice to listen to but there were too many girls pushing their way up front to get his attention so Rae just stayed at her seat by the time the ending song started. In the midst of everything the girls were screaming for his attention and she just turned around watching him a little bit before she got herself another drink and that’s when she saw his jacket soaring through the air. She reached up and grabbed it from a couple of girls that were trying to go for it. A sly smile came to her face as her eyes locked onto his, she would eventually see him again. But as the night wore on she knew that it was time for her to get home, she decided against another drink and just paid her tab. She caught a ride home from B so that she wouldn’t have to walk home. “You’re late!” She heard someone scream as she walked through the door “I had a lot of stores to go to” she just commented, she was too tired to fight with her mother so she just kept on walking to her room. “I hope you know that this is your last chance” “Yes mother I do” her mother followed her up the stairs and into her room. “By the way I’ve set up a date for you tomorrow” Rae started to change into her pjs and turned to gawk at her mother “You’ve got to be kidding me; I can get my own date’s mother” “You are doing a horrible job at it and you will do this or you’re not going to like the consequences” “Fine, just so you’ll shut up and I can go to bed” her mother was about to yell at her again but Rae just climbed into bed ignoring her when she got the hint and left. -- Morning was more pleasant for her as she slept in way too late, she had about ten minutes to get dressed and make her way to the restaurant that her mother had told her. Rae finally kicked herself out of bed and dressed in some dark blue jeans, a nice clean black tang top and her light white jacket. Just a park of sneakers and she was good to go. She brushed out her hair and her teeth and grabbed her purse on the way out of the house. “Want me to call for the limo?” Her mother called “No thanks mom, I’d like to make a good impression not scare the poor guy” she called and hurried out of the house. Rae was thankful that the restaurant was in the upper part of town so she didn’t have that far to walk. She walked into the restaurant and talked with the hostess for a few seconds just to see if her ‘date’ was here yet. She was lead over to a table were a guy was sitting and he looked as mad about this arrangement as her. She thanked the hostess and she walked away. Rae turned to the guy and tried to find some good in this, he wasn’t bad looking at all but she wondered how his attitude was and why her mother thought it was a good idea to set her up with him. “Hi, the names Rae” she said before she decided that she should sit down and give this a shot.

Half his glass of chocolate milk was gone before he saw a lovely young lady led over to his table. She introduced herself and Lorne stood up. He inclined his head, refusing to take her hand and kiss is as his mother had instructed, and introduced himself, "Hello, my name is Lorne. It is nice to meet you--Rae." He said, tasting the girls name on his tongue and not giving his last name as he just went ahead and assumed that she knew it already and if not it didn't really matter. She didn't give off an air that she found this situation at all pleasant and he wondered why but did not ask. Pulling out a chair for Rae, he gave her a pleasant smile and he even did a good job of pushing a bit of warmth through in his eyes, slight lines showing at their corners. He gave a motion of telling her to sit before Lorne than sat himself and leaned back, folding his hands in his lap. It was rude after all to ignore someone, no matter how much you didn't want to be there. He noted her outfit and found it pleasantly plain compared to some of the other woman he had been forced to meet with, a small smirk formed at this thought but vanished quickly. She was quite attractive though he wasn't sure if this would last very long. In some ways he hoped his parents would find someone that he liked or just give up. It was such a bother after all. Always having to wake up early and be expected to just pick a pretty girl with a rich family. Sorry folks that wasn't how Lorne worked.
He wasn't sure what to talk about at first. He hated this part. Usually though the girls would just yammer on about how much they had heard about his family or something about themselves that bored him half to death. He kept a pleasant looking smile on his face though his eyes may have looked a bit clouded over. He was thinking back last night and how much he had enjoyed it on the stage. He would much rather be there than here, he could tell anyone that much. Though he brought his attention back to Rae. She looked somewhat familiar but he couldn't quite place it at first. Then as he though harder he remembered the girl from last night. He shook his head mentally. That couldn't be her, although they looked quite similar, his parents would never set him up with someone who would be at a place like that. Would they? He wondered and an expression curiosity wormed its way on his face, his eyes behind his glasses looking observant and curious.
Lorne didn't hold a look of a greedy man eying a woman for personal pleasures. His look was soft and not probing, just the look of someone who was interested in finding out more about what they were looking out. And of course Lorne wanted to figure out if she was the girl from last night. She looked like her but then again he had been hungry and high off of epinephrine. He leaned forward a bit, getting comfortable in the chairs that the restaurant claimed to be hand made. As long as it was comfortable Lorne didn't care---and it wasn't all that comfortable to him. Adjusting his glasses, Lorne's green eyes shifted away from Rae, glancing around the room and taking in his surroundings. All rich folk and there was their waitress coming to check up on the knew guest that had sat down at her table. The fancy uniform did well for her but he could tell she wasn't particularly fond of what she was doing. Still not really knowing what to speak about he let Rae start. After all ladies first correct?

She eyed him for a moment before she took the seat that he had pulled out for her. Rae really wished that he hadn't done that, she hated it when these guys tried to suck up to her. She was just doing this to please her mother and hoped that this guy didn't think that it would be going any where. She would tell her mother that she went on the date and it just didn't work out, how many more guys could her mother set her it up with that she hadn't already and where did she find these guys. Rae stared at the guy and his eyes looked familiar but she couldn't place where, she was still tired from the night before and wished that she had just ignored her mother and stayed in bed.
He was just sitting there and wondered what he was thinking cause he sure as hell didn't care to talk thought Rae didn't mind at all. She hated to just fill silence with none sense conversation. She finally tore her gaze from him to look around the restaurant, not her first pick but she wasn't going to be rude to the poor guy who was most likely forced to come here as well. Rae saw the waitress coming over and she really didn't want her too at this moment. She told her that she just wanted water to drink and waited for her to walk away. Rae turned her attention back to the guy "Now I don't know what my mother plans to accomplish with this little 'date'..." she put quotation marks around the word date and dropped her hands back in her lap "But I'm not looking for anything. I'm doing this to please her and get her off my back. I've got better things to do then be set up on dates, I don't mean to be rude and I'm sure you are a nice guy but...I'm hoping to see this other guy that I had seen at this club last night" she finished before the waitress walked back over. She picked up her water once it was set down and took a sip from it waiting for the guy to talk. She wasn't sure if she had pissed him off or not but at this point she didn't care cause she had made up her mind to track down that singer from last night.

Lorne listened to her works and smirked. "I am dealing with a similar family issue." He commented a light chuckle escaping him. Finally someone else who had to deal with their parents putting them on blind dates with people who they did not like. Picking up his glass of chocolate milk, he took a sip as she continued, his eyes on her face as she spoke. At the mention of a guy at a club, it was all Lorne could do to not spit out his sip. Instead he swallowed and of course it went down the wrong tube, causing him to cough loudly until it came back up.
Eyes trained on the disturbance until it stopped and the chatter of others picked up again. "Sorry about that." Lorne mentioned as he took a gulp of air, his eyes looking a little bit panicked but also thoughtful. Should he tell her or no? He wasn't sure. She might not like him at all if he told her so he decided to wait. Maybe if she really did see him again than he could tell her? He wasn't sure what to do really so he kept quiet for a moment or so, wondering what Rae's response to his coughing fit would be. He was right that it definitely had to be her and once more she was hoping to get with Lorne, though of course she didn't know it. A genuine smile, turned smirk, was on his face though he tried to hide it with his hand as he brought it up in a thinking posture.
This could be quite interesting. Lorne began to think but sighed. He shouldn't get his hopes up too much, even if he had a shot at finding a real relationship and get his parents off of his back. She could get hurt because of him and that was inexcusable. He had to be careful even when he did find the one he was going to marry. If they found out his secret they would most likely run and if not there would be days where he would be acting funny and also days where he would be gone. Dangerous times where he could hurt someone. No he didn't know if it was worth it. Then a thought came into his mind. "I have an idea though I don't know if you will like it." He removed his hand, to show a sinister smile, leaning he smiled, his green eyes bright behind his lenses. "It is an interesting business prospect and I expect you to turn it down but--" He folded his hands on the table and cleared his throat slightly. "I wish to get my parents off my back as I believe you do as well. How about we say that this little 'date'" He used quotations as Rae had and then continued, his voice confident and smooth. "Went well. We can pretend to date and that will leave you open to go after your mystery man. I think it is perfectly reasonable don't you? I mean we can set up dates and just not go to them." Lorne thought it a good plan, he just wondered what type of girl she was going to be. The gutsy go for it one or the 'I don't want your help' one.

Well he didn't look to off set by her words 'hmm...maybe a better prospect then I thought' she thought to herself and picked up her own glass waiting for him to come to his senses but his coughing startled her. She jumped slightly and looked around as the conversations in the restaurant dropped. She tired to make herself look as if nothing had happened and sighed heavily as things returned to normal in the restaurant. Rae turned her attention back to Lorne with a confused look but didn't say anything. Maybe he just got caught up thinking something and he coughed. She opened her mouth to say something but decided against it and just sat back in her seat.
She studied his face, she knew it but not from where. His eyes were what gave it away but being so tired and concentrating on finding the guy from last night she just gave up. Her ears picked up when he said that he had an idea but she stayed in the same position, she had to be careful not to lead this guy on but she want to hear what he had to say. Rae nodded her head, why hadn't she thought of that...well none of the guys that she had met would even go for something like that. They were always looking for a wife and she wasn't interested in the slightest. "Well you make an interesting proposition and I wish that I had thought of it" She picked up her water and took a long sip of it before deciding on what she wanted to do. "I have no problem with it but if we do this then you will have to be my date for my cotillion...if I don't decided to ditch it myself" she said a smirk playing on her lips. This guy wasn't half bad as she thought he was going to be. Not her first choice in men but she had to hand it to him for being sneaky and mischievous. "So...do we have a deal?" She held out her hand to shake on it.

Lorne smiled at Rae's extended hand. "A deal and a maybe date to the cotillion." He replied and extended his own hand, gripping her and shaking. He wondered if she would notice his rough hands, worn from continued playing of his guitar and violin. Maybe she would be able to make the connection, she definitely would if they skipped that cotillion. He was quite relieved and excited at the same time. This would be a good thing and he hoped that it would out in the end. He finished off his glass of chocolate milk and sighed slightly, his brain working over the smaller and final details of this plan.
"When and where should I pick you up?" Lorne questioned, leaning back in his seat, his eyes questioning and tired looking, his playing from last night was waring on them. He then remembered that he had a gig coming up soon. When was it again? He wondered but brushed it off as he centered on the happenings of now. They would have to work out the more finite bits of their little plan later but that could be done leisurely.
It would be so much fun when she found out that he was the guy she was talking about. He wondered though would she be mad or shocked, maybe even happy? No one would ever really pick him to be the rock band kind of man but alas it was something he truly loved to do and it wasn't just for the fans. It helped him released pent up emotions that he tried to hide from his parents. "This will be quite enjoyable." He than muttered, a slight smirk on his lips. He was much less formal now, thinking that it was better this way. Then he picked up his glass, looking down through its opening to see the tiny drops that were still left at the bottom. "Your parents will be so thrilled that you are dating a Woolgar to boot. At least that was what most of the other woman I have been forced to meet with kept going on about." He said, more thinking out loud than anything and if he offended a Rae it wouldn't really matter to him. All could be fixed with words and wisdom. And blood a small voice in the back of his head whispered and he inwardly cringed at his instincts.

Rae was now formulating everything, she would have to keep up the appearance of being in love with someone which she was really bad at and answer her mother's questions and wanting to know every detail. But her mind halted for a minute when he grabbed her hand, her brows knitted together at how rough his hands were. There was no way that he came from a high family and had hands like that. Maybe the waitress miss understood her and this wasn't the guy that she was suppose to met with. That made her like him even more but then this plan was down the drain. "Lets just take a day and let it sink in for our parent's, besides I have a concert to go to later with a buddy of mine" she said and finished off her water. She was wanting to get out of here and get more information on the singer from last night.
She was about to get up and walk away till his words hit her. So that was her mother's plan, it was the money that's how it always was to her...well that and status. "You've got to be kidding me...a Woolgar...and you actually came on this 'date'" she sneered a little, she didn't care how he took it but for her mother to do this to her. To use her as a tool "My mother will be all too thrilled that this date went well and now I'm not so sure I want to tell her" she said trying to keep her anger under control. She wanted to walk back home and scream at her mother but then that would ruin everything. Now Rae didn't feel too bad about calling for the limo and just going home, she grabbed her planner out of her purse and jotted down her number on a piece of paper, she then tore it out and set it on the table "That's my number. Call me later and we can pick a place to talk more...preferably no where fancy" she said and then got up from the table walking out in a slightly quick pace. Just outside the restaurant she pulled out her phone calling the chauffeur of the limo.

"Yes let us see what are parents reactions are." To be honest, Lorne was intrigued and quite excited to see what his mother and father thought. It would be wonderful to get his mother off of his back but then he cringed. That would mean she would be prying into their relation ship. What's she like? How far have you gone? When are you getting Married? Lorne's mothers whiny voice seemed to echo in his mind and he sighed mentally, brushing away the new bother that he knew was going to be coming. At least it was better than being yelled at.
At Rae's response to his last name, Lorne couldn't help but let out a low laugh of humor. "Of course I came. My father's word is practically law." He murdered this as she slipped him the paper, nodding his head in thanks. He would call her tomorrow evening, letting the whole situation sink in with the parental units. He watched her walking away, smirking. He wondered what concert she would be going to tonight though he guessed he could ask her how it went. Even if they were only a fake couple it would be nice if they could at least be friends.
The smell of food finally triggered Lorne's appetite and he debated eating here though his phone vibrated in his pocket, jarring his thoughts. Picking it up, he smiled as it was one of his band buddies. Though it faltered some at the news he brought him. "Hey Danny just got a hold of me and said that the big concert we got into is being moves to next week." The voice coming from the phone paused as if for a response and when Lorne said nothing he continued. "I just wanted to run it by you and see if you still want to take it." A slight growl came into Lorne's voice when he decided to speak. "We'll take it but we need to practice tomorrow than instead of three days from now. We have to make sure that new song is perfect." The voice from the phone seemed to sense Lorne's unhappiness and sighed. "Sure thing Remus." He called him by his stage name, Lorne had made it up to prevent even them from trying to use his money to gain fame. They were his good friends but money could change people.
A few more words were said and Lorne hung up the phone. This was wonderful. He was most likely going to be hungry again and with so many people about this time it was going to be a tough ride but he would be able to pull through. He had before. Sighing slightly, he put Rae's name into his phone and stood, leaving money on the table for the glass of chocolate milk. He left and picked up some fast food on the way home. His parents were going to be pleased as punch.

Rae was glad when the limo had arrived, he opened the door for her and she slid in. Once he was back in the car he looked at her through the mirror "Where to?" She thought about it for a minute and she really didn't want to go just yet cause then her mother would wonder why she was back so early and she didn't have anything to do till the concert that night. "How about we go to B's house" she said and he nodded his head while she proceeded to call him. She sat there waiting through the ridiculous ringtone he had and then he picked up "Hey B, I'm coming over" was all she said "Alright but um...I've got some bad news" she sighed and rolled her eyes "What's that?" "The concert was postponed" "You've got to be kidding me...well then we'll just have to change the plans. I'll be there in a little bit to talk it out" "Alright but you no the deal, no limos otherwise people are going to freak" "I know I know ok, when will you stop tell me that" "When you stop using the freaking thing, see you in a few" she just hung up the phone and sighed lazy against the seat. "Concert canceled" Cruz asked and she nodded her head "What now?" He asked and she shrugged her shoulders "Well any help I can be just ask" "Thank you Cruz"
They stopped down a side street and Rae got out of the limo "I'll be sure to call you when I need a ride" he nodded his head and Rae walked up the back street to a garage door and just walked in. She knew that the group would already be there so it was no issue you. "Hey guys I'm just gonna be a sec I want to change" "Alright but hurry up" someone called to her as she took the back staircase upstairs. She always kept her better clothes at B's place so that her parent's wouldn't freak or find out her other life.

His mother took it well, she practically suffocated him when she hugged him. Lorne's father had to pry her off of him, her eyes teary. He had to calm her down, it wasn't as if he was getting married or something along those lines. A large breath escaped him as he fell onto his bed, his body bouncing slightly. When he settled, Lorn closed his eyes thinking back upon his morning. "This is going to be quite interesting..." He whispered to himself. To be honest he hoped that everything worked out well though he still had a few details to tweak.
Lorne sat up and unbuttoned the first two buttons on his white dress shirt, it was more comfortable that way and he was in the mood to play his violin. There was a piece of the song his band was playing that included his violin, the beginning and the end. Standing, he walked through a door way, shutting the sound proof door behind him. One of the perks to being rich was that he didn't have to bother his parents with loud music. Or screams and instinctual part of his mind echoed and he shivered, hating that part of him. He picked up his violin, the smooth blackened wood accented by bright metal. His fingers felt right as he positioned himself accordingly, the bow feeling light in his hands. Closing his green eyes, he tuned the instrument accordingly and sighed as he hit the first chord. Slow and full of guilt, the sound reverberated against the walls and echoed back to his ears. He wanted to tweak it to sound just right. There were emotions only a string could illicit in someone and when you added the guitar and then the accenting bass..finally the drums. Smoothly they combined and accented each other until it was time too break off the violin and add in the voice and lyrics. All of this played out perfectly in his mind. And he stopped suddenly, eyes breaking open. Groaning he set his violin down and sighed. His father was paging him to come downstairs. He just hoped he wasn't hungry...
The stairs to his basement were made of stone and every few stairs there was an odd dark stain, Lorne shuddered as he made it to the bottom feeling squeamish. His father only called him downstairs on rare occasions and it was never pretty. The smell of something metallic and warm, the slight scent of something musky mingled in the air as well and Lorne's eyes flashed. Blood, not good. His father's voice yelled out and Lorne followed it and stopped in the doorway, a feminine moan reaching his ears. Wonderful... he thought as he watched his father fill his hunger on the poor woman. The smell of sex was heavy in the room an his father looked up, eyes red and a drop of blood looking like a ruby stuck on the corner of his mouth. "Yes father." Lorne said softly, trying to tear his gaze from the pale skinned, naked woman in front of him. He guessed his mother had gotten mad at his father. This was usually the result. What a beautiful life he lived...

She dressed into a pair of her favorite hip hugger jeans and a nice blood read tang-top. One of her favorite colors and then she walked into the bathroom and fixed up her hair. Than after that she applied some make-up, dark as she always like it and then she felt better. She made her way back downstairs to the living room where everyone was lounging and made herself comfortable on the couch after pushing a couple of people out of the way "Alright so I hope that someone has check out the bars for tonight and found a decent one" she said and a couple of them groan and Rae slugged one close to her "Come on guys, it's not that hard and there are plenty of good bars here" she said snatching a bag of chips from the coffee table. "Well we could always hit up Ghost?" B suggested but the others weren't too enthused and Rae just looked at them wondering what the hell was wrong. Then the light bulb went off in her head "You fuckers smoked up with out me again" she almost yelled and the others just busted out laughing. Rae crossed her arms and sat back against the couch, she hated when the guys left her out of all the fun. "Fine if ya'll wanna be like that then I'll go to the bar myself and than you guys can find a way to have fun and pay for it yourself" she said getting to her feet. She snatched her jacket off the coat rack and stormed out of the house.
"Why do I even put up with them?" She groaned to herself walking back out into the side street. She hated going out partying by herself, it was no fun plus she hated it when creepy guys just came up to her. "Hey Rae. Come on...just hold up a sec" B came running up to her and she just stopped and turned around glaring at him. "What?" She hissed at him and he took a few steps back "Come on now, we saved you some this time" he pleaded with her, it was always a field day trying to get her to stop being mad. Something with her genes she always told him but he would just shrugged it off. "Come on, smoke up with us and then will go to Ghost ok" Rae thought it over for a few seconds and then shrugged her shoulders, B relaxed and they headed back to the house. She hated it when he gave her that face, it made her just want to smack him cause he had gotten to her and he knew it.

Stifling a look of disgust at the sounds the bleeding girl was making, Lorne finally tore his gaze off of her writhing body. His father's voice was low as he stood, body moving with a predatory grace that would make most nervous. But Lorne was made of the same blood and his lips curled back, the pheromones his father was pumping out pulling at his instincts, making his body shift though it wasn't supposed to. The stress and chemical signals forcing his body to react in a way that Lorne did not want it to. He groaned, green eyes closing momentarily and opening, red streaking making them look like a Christmas card, his pupil turning into a sideways slit like a goat.
Shuddering, his skin tingled as the symbols that hid when he was normal rose to the surface and his teeth elongated into curved fangs. Lorne looked to his father, pure rage burning from his shifting eyes. His father, having lost himself in his blood lust, just chuckled. "What do you want?" Lorne hissed and he stepped back as his father stepped forward. His father just laughed again and quickly pinned his son to the wall, his full blooded power being more potent and stronger than Lorne's half blood self. "You have an obligation to uphold." His father said softly and in Lorne's ear. His voice was dead sounding and chilled Lorn to his bones. This wasn't good, Lorne was going to loose himself to the hunger that was pulling at his body. He only fed when he needed and disregarded his natural need for the crimson fluid that gave life. "What is that?" Lorne responded, his voice going husky in a need that was far from sexual though he knew that he could inflict a sexual desire that was stemmed from pheromones and his saliva if it entered their bloodstream. Similar to a vampire's but different as they could pull on the scar that was made but only temporarily, unless they bound their victim to themselves and that was a very complicated and messy process. Something Lorne refused to do and then his blood went cold. His mother was bound to his father and his eyes widened. The red orbs of his father showed that he knew what Lorne was thinking. "Yes... His father breathed. "Prove to me that she is yours your she will be mine. I know who she is so you can not try and save her. You have two weeks."
With a slight twitch of his lips, showing a smirk, his father threw Lorne against the opposite wall and left him in the room with the naked woman, her breathing slow as she had passed out. Lorne was shaking, a mix of anger and fear. This wasn't good. His father had lost it but... he always meant what he said. That meant that Lorne didn't have a choice. His father was not always a nice man. "Holy hell...God save me." Lorne whispered as he shuddered eyes going towards the woman, blood looking bright against her pail skin. He had lost to his hunger.

By the time they got to the club everyone was pretty much in the clouds except Rae, she just liked to get a body high and feel good but the head change was just a perk. They pulled up to the club in B's mustang and the valle took the car to a spot. She loved that her friends were known cause then that meant she didn't have to wait in lines. Though there were never any lines to wait in for a Gorman and she liked it that way. The bouncer out front let her in and the moment she got inside the beat was already working its magic on Rae. She danced through the club with the guys trailing her. That's how it always was, the boys just followed her like they were her own personal posse and she didn't mind cause they owed her big time.
They found a nice spot to sit on the upper deck and Rick went and got their drinks for them but in that time she had a shot while the others bantered back and forth. This was her scene and would never give it up for anything. She could blend in with everyone or stand out as much as she wanted which was probably do to her genetics. It paid to be like a chameleon at times.

"Oh Fuck..." Lorne whispered as he opened his eyes. He was in his bathroom okay. His stomach felt vile and he groaned. He vaguely remembered what had happened after his father had thrown him into the wall. Oh God...He thought and shivered. Had he killed her? He didn't think so and sighed in relief though it wasn't very comforting. His father, lost in his blood lust, had practically forced his weaker son to bleed the woman more. He sat up in his bathroom and looked around, eyes closing as a migraine set in. Standing up slowly he flushed the toilet, knowing the sickly site that would disappear down it.
His throat felt raw and he sighed as he walked into his room. His once crisp white shirt was torn and bloodied, a few of his buttons were missing. He was glad that his mind had pushed it away though he knew it would return when he slept. The only reason he didn't remember now was the pheromones that his father had pumped out right before leaving. It only worked on half bloods like Lorne and those who wanted to forget. Closing his now dark moss green eyes, he took off his clothes and dumped them in the laundry bin that would be gone when he got out of the shower. He set the shower and only put the hot on. It burned badly as he stepped in but he took it, letting it burn away the blood that was caked on him. Finally he turned on the cold and scrubbed his body clean. Finding scars on his chest, he gritted his teeth remember his mistake at such a young age. Hands pressed against the wall of the shower he bent his head, "What did I pull that girl into?" He muttered and then sighed. He was going to have to find a girl to marry eventually-unfortunately. He had hoped to avoid it and to be honest he didn't want it to be with Rae. There would be no kindness between them. It was only a scam for their parents. But now he had to bind her to him. He would be kinder than his father. He wouldn't use her as a toy or something to bleed when he was hungry. Though he knew that wasn't how it worked. It was a strong bond. He could elicit sexual desires in her and only he could do it, playing on any bites he might give her. Lorne pushed all of this from his mind, not wanting to go into the details of binding someone. He felt as if he was going to be sick.
