“No, I don’t have anywhere in particular I would like to go either, so I suppose that means we should head back home.” It was a rather lengthy response for a simple no answer. Remus just didn’t do normal very well. He headed back from where they came, the road seeming to have just as much traffic as before, even though the sun had begun to set. It was pretty really, the fall leaves reflecting the sunset in a picture that only nature could orchestrate so perfectly.
Remus did enjoy weather like this of course, but he had some stuff he needed to do when he got home, he also was wondering if he was going to have to pull up a video of how to put on a bra for V. He wasn’t sure where the idea came from, but after seeing her lack of knowledge of a vital female accessory, he just wondered if she would have difficulty putting it on. Not that he wanted to help her with it or anything….Remus just stopped his mind from going in that direction before it was too late.
Making his way across the street, he looked towards V after they had crossed safely. “Is it hard for a Lycanthrope to settle down?” He questioned her out of the blue. His mutli-process thought process has thrown something around that caught his attention. Why didn’t V have a place of her own?

V didn't really care if thye went to another store or plac or if they went home, she wasn't looking forward to doing anything today, just going with the flow and following Remus. What else would she do? So she followed him, sticking by his side seeing as there was more traffic now than before. It still felt nice outside even though the sun was setting, very comfortable for her. She liked fall, it wasn't too warm, just a small chill but mostly because of the colors the trees change to. She thought it was pretty.
She wondered what they would be doing once they got home, if he had some things to do, either it was by himself or with her aid. If he didn't need her to do anything then she would probably just sit or lay there and watch him or take a nap.
His question caught her off guard after they had crossed the street, she stood there on the sidewalk looking down at the ground in thought Depends, some Lycanthropes could fit into society very easily but those are the ones who can control themselves. Young lycanthropes have a bit of trouble and are usually sent to a special school where they are taught how to control themselves and fit into society. Once they had control then things weren't diffciult.
It was people like her that found it difficult to settle down. Uncontrollable, unpredictable. She wasn't as bad as before, she was better than the "rabid" lycanthropes blinded by the raw power, but not at th elevel of normal lycanthropes who fit into society. Being where she was, raised how she was, it made settling down difficult. The fighting, beating, unstable mental status... V sighed and looked to the side. There was some point in her long life that she did settle down, but like everything else, it didn't last.
"Depends." She finally said in a soft tone, her gaze staring straight ahead. "Those who have control of their lycan side can live a normal human life, find a mate and begin a family, have a nice home. It's easy for them." She looked up to the sky for a few moments before letting her gaze fall back down and once again stare straight ahead. "There are the the ones hungry for power, blinded by mental unstability, the beast within too much for them too handle. They will never settle down, the only thing they deserve is death. Putting them out of their misery." She paused, inhaling deeply then exhaling. "Then there are the very few like me. In the middle, switching back and forth from mental unstability and stability. Not able to change to fit into the community. Yes I have some control of myself, but not always. I can't settle down. She finished, a few silent moments passing before whispering. ”I don’t wanna hurt the one I care about again… don’t want him to hurt me again.”

They continued walking, though Remus had the feeling that his question was one that was a bit touchy for the she-wolf. She didn’t answer right away and Remus wondered why that was. He didn’t really know all that much about the female and he hadn’t thought that it was an entirely personal question. Maybe he was wrong. He had been wrong before, though usually only with person conversation tactics. He glanced over at V when she began to speak, her tone different from earlier. He listened to what she had to say though, intrigued with what she had to say about the topic. It seemed as though she didn’t like the topic yet she still spoke of it to him. By the time that they made it back to Remus’s street, V had finished her little explanation. Remus was quiet for a moment, not responding right way so as to absorb the information. Her last sentence was a bit surprising to him. He was never very good with having to deal with negative emotions. He just wasn’t very good at comforting people. He stopped when he reached the sidewalk in front of his house. A rather sleepy look was present on his features. “I can understand not being able to fit into a community. I never know when I will have a vision. The last time I had a major one, I almost killed myself and I was forced to go to a mental institute.” He shrugged his shoulders some, starting to walk up his driveway. “At least you had someone to care about.” He then added, thinking that it would be something that would make her feel better about herself. He didn’t sound as though he was angry or trying to make it out like her problems meant nothing. Honestly, he just wasn’t good with this sort of thing. It lead to misunderstandings some times.

V stopped when he did, not looking at him, just staring off at the houses and the sky only looking to him when he had spoke. That he understood, never knowing when he would have a vision. That he almost killed himself and forced to go to a mental institute. From what he has told her though, it was only aimed at him. V, it was aimed towards anything around her, and anyone, nobody was safe. Him saying at least she had someone to care about, she did but, there was more trouble than it was worth.
"I guess, let's go inside." She mumbled, looking down at the ground. In a matter of seconds she shifted, the sounds of bones popping in and out of place, bones shorted and muscle shifting, fur growing all over her body. One thing she liked about shifting to a wolf, if she was wearing big clothing like right no they wouldn't tear, she could just shake them off. That's exactly what she did, she pulled her legs out the sleeve then used her paws to pull it over her head and put it in the bag that had dropped to the ground. She turned her head and used her teeth to grab the leggings and pull them down to where she could put a leg out then puled off the other and put them in the bag too before picking it up in her mouth.
With that she walked up to the house, claws clicking against the concrete, stopping on the slightly hidden porch waiting for Remus.

So maybe, Remus needed to see if they had classes on how to talk to people. He thought that might be a good idea, especially after V shifted in the middle of the sidewalk and trotted up to the hidden front porch. Remus sighed some and made his way up to the porch too, unlocking the door and holding it open for the now wolf V. He locked the door behind him and headed straight up the stairs, pulling out the socks from one of the bags and tossing the rest of the clothing onto the guest bed that V was using. He set his socks down on his dresser, not worrying about opening them up now and then he headed into his office. There were books laying on chairs and a few on the ground, though his desk had papers piled neatly in a corner. There was an older looking computer on his desk, but it wasn’t on right now. For some reason or another, computers gave him a headache, especially if he left them on all the time. Opening up his satchel bag, Remus pulled out the papers he had taken from work before and set them on his desk, sitting down in his rolling desk chair. He had a bit of work to do, though if V wanted to come and keep him company or whatnot, he wouldn’t mind all that much.

Once the door opened and he held it for her the wolf made her way inside, claws clicked against the floor as she walked through the living room and up the stairs, walking down the hallway and into her temporary room. She set the bag down at the end of the bed, just standing there as Remus came and brought the bag with her things in it then left for his office. She just stood there staring at the wall for a few moments before closing her eyes and taking in a deep breath and letting out a long and heavy sigh.
In a matter of moments she had walked out the room, sniffing the air and finding Remus with no problem. He was in his office at the desk looking at papers, she stood in the doorway just watching him for a bit before turning her head to the side and stepped in. She made her way over to him and sat right beside his chair, poking his hand with her wet nose then pushing it, getting her head underneath and closing her eyes.

Remus noticed V standing in the doorway, but he didn’t look up from what he was doing, nor did he make it known that he had noticed her. He continued with his paperwork, using a green pen to circle mistakes or areas that he needed to improve on. Some of it was information that other researchers had typed up and generally he made the most corrections with their work. He just had an eye for detail apparently. Some of the researchers were angry with how much he had changed their work, but after they had been nominated for awards, they had started to sing a different tune. It made Remus happy that he could help out others, though he wondered sometimes why they didn’t appreciate his hard work right away.
After a little bit, Remus felt something wet and cool against his hand. Glancing down, he halfway smiled as V got his hand up on top of her head. He patted her head and then rubbed the soft fur, scratching the back of her ears as one would with a dog. “You know if you go doing stuff like this, I might just think that I adopted a large dog.” He said in a half joking manner, though after the fact didn’t find that it really was funny at all.
“Are you bored? Do you want to help?” He questioned her, continuing to scratch behind her ears, wondering if she would react as a dog. He had been around animal’s pets before. Remus had never kept one because they required a lot of attention and he just wasn’t very good with giving enough attention. It might have changed if he put some work into it, but it just never felt like it was very important to him. He did find that V asking for attention was sort of cute, her mismatched eyes almost looking sad surrounded by all the white fur.

V didn't care if it was dog-like to push his hand onto her head, it was something that was rare to get and whenever she did get patted on the head it was soothing. Her dull, saddened eyes stared up at him as he looked down at her, licking his wrist as he started scratching the back of her ears. His comment made her stick her tongue out at him, most of the time she felt more comfortable as a wolf, as human she felt so weak and fragile.
When he asked if she was bored the wolf didn't really know how to respond she wasn't bored but at the same time she was. There wasn't anything for her to do, that was half the reason why she came here, that and so she wasn't sitting by herself in her room or downstairs. He also asked if she wanted to help, it made her head tilt to the side slightly, what would he have that she could possibly do?
Her head lay on his leg as he scratched behind her ears, her tongue hung out the side of her mouth slightly and her tail slowly wagged side to side with a satisfied low growl. "I'm not really bored but if you have something for me to do then I will do it." She answered, closing her eyes and leaning into his scratching hand.

It seemed as though V did enjoy being scratched behind the ears and so Remus stored the information away for later, not that he really had to mentally try and do such a thing. His brain automatically did it for him. It was actually kind of annoying sometimes.
When V stuck her tongue out at him, Remus found that it was one of the strangest things he had ever seen. A canine purposely sticking their tongue out was rather humorous looking to be quite honest, especially since their tongues were so long. He gave her another little half smile, finding that he was smiling a bit more with company around, though it could have been the whole there is a new person around deal that he got sometimes. Often when he was meeting someone for the first time, Remus would smile more. He wasn’t sure why, but he did.
V’s tail wagged slowly after a bit, a growl coming from her that almost sounded like a loud purring cat. Her words made him glad because he could use the help. He didn’t think about asking if she could spell, he just assumed she could, even though she wasn’t really sure what female undergarments were. Grabbing a red purple felt tipped pen and a stack of papers that included no math involved, he set the papers are the end of his desk and grabbed a chair with only one book on it, swinging it so that it slid over to the desk. “If you wouldn’t mind checking for spelling errors that would be fantastic. I think there is a dictionary around here somewhere or if you are unsure of a word just ask him.” He explained before suddenly imagining V sitting in a chair in her Wolf form writing with a pen. It was odd and he wasn’t entirely sure why he had imagined it. Remus hoped that she wouldn’t work like that. It would be a bit distracting, albeit quite humorous.

She liked when Remus smiled, she didn't know why really, he just looked nicer when he did. When he pulled his hand away from her head she lifted it, looking at what he was reaching for which was a pen and a stack of papers and pulling a chair over. So all she had to do was check for spelling errors? Even though she didn't know about female undergarments, V knew how to read and spell and knew how to use writing utensils. That's because has used them whenever she would get a short term job in towns, reading and writing was more important than undergarments.
"I an do that, just give me a moment." She told him before pushing herself up onto all four legs and turning and walking out of the room. She went into her room and shifted back to her human self, pulling on the oversized shirt and leggings then walking back into the office and grabbing a dictionary laying on the floor opposite where Remus was sitting. She went over to the desk and pulled the book off the chair before taking a seat, taking the pen into her hand and taking a look at the first paper on the stack.
V would sit there and complete her little job until there were no more papers to look over, she didn't really like leaving things undone, it bothered her. She did hope Remus would do what he needs to do then go to bed and not be up late because he had a busy day tomorrow, he needed to get enough sleep.

Remus was glad when V agreed to help him. She got up and left rather quickly, Remus watching her tail as she left the room, wondering for a moment where she was going until he realized that she didn’t have cloths on underneath her suit of silver fur. He got back to his work and she came back in wearing her clothing from earlier, getting to work without a word. He was glad for the help as he would be up late doing this if he didn’t have her help. Though, to be fair he would have mostly been done by now if they hadn’t gone shopping; however, he somewhat preferred company over the solitude of working alone. For some reason his brain didn’t make so much noise at him when he had someone else to concentrate on, that person in particular being V.
A while later, at least a good hour or so, Remus noticed that V had finished her stack of papers. Remus had about twelve more sheets left to do which could take him another half hour because they were full of equations that could very well be written wrong, though he hoped not. It was getting late and though he generally didn’t sleep great, he wanted to get a good night’s rest due to the fact that last nights had been on the ground with moss as a pillow. That didn’t exactly constitute a good sleep.
“Thank you for your help, V. If you want to go to bed you can. I will be a bit longer.” He said, his tone quiet and almost distant since he was concentrating on getting the papers done as quickly as he could while still making sure he did everything accurately.

She didn't realize an hour had passed, looking over at Remus when she finished the stack of papers. It was kind of nice, finally she had something to do other than sit around being bored, it was better than sitting by herself too. Even though V didn't talk to him while looking over the papers for spelling errors, she liked knowing he was right there besides her, she had been alone for so long that she just realized just how much she missed being around somebody somewhat human. Whether she is in her wolf form or human.
He thanked her for the help, going on to say that if she wanted then she could go to bed and that he will be here a bit longer. Her was quiet, she could tell that it was because he was focused on finishing the remaining papers in front of him. "Okay, don't take too long. You need to rest up for tomorrow." She spoke softly, laying a hand on his head with a small smile before standing up and walking away from the desk. She stopped in the doorway for a brief moment, looking at Remus then walking out and down the hallway into her own room where she proceeded over to the bed and slid in.
Hopefully she would be able to sleep decently in this comfortable bed, it had been so long since she last slept in one. With a heavy sigh pulled the blanket over her body and curled up into a ball and closed her eyes, in a matter of minutes she was out.

“Mhmm.” Remus responded and nodded his head though he hadn’t quite heard her. V’s words rushed to him when she laid a hand on his head, causing him to look up at her with his eyes, only his gold eye showing. He returned her smile and got right back to work when she walked away from his desk, not bother to look up when the sound of footsteps on the floor ceased momentarily.
Remus was up later than he had stated he would be earlier. Another hour went by before he had finished, the last page causing him all sorts of problems because the formatting was all wrong. It belonged to an intern, a new kid. He didn’t mind, but it just meant that he would probably have to go over it with him one on one. Usually the new people didn’t like to be shown that their work was wrong. Thankfully, it was almost all just the way the person had written it up.
By the time Remus was done and had stood up, his eyes were tired and burning from being open for so long. He felt groggy and knew that he needed to sleep. Leaving his office and turning off the light, he headed to his bed; changing out of his cloths but only bothering to put on a pair of sweatpants before he fell into bed. The covers seemed to wrap themselves around him as he rolled to his side and closed his eyes. This was the hard part of getting to sleep, having his mind quiet down long enough for him to be able to drift off.
~~~
The morning came quickly and with it a cloudy sky that threatened rain. It wasn’t bright enough to wake Remus up early, but his alarm woke him rather quickly. He sighed and turned it off, not worried about falling to sleep. He had slept alright last night, but it only added up to about five hours total, so he guessed. He wondered how V had slept and figured that he could ask her after he got out of bed. Turning onto his back , he stared up at the ceiling, his shirtless torso chilled slightly when the sheets slid partially off him after he moved.
V had slept decently that night, besides waking up around four in the morning and walking up and down the hallway, she tended to sleep walk every now and then. She kind of hoped Remus had not heard or seen her sleep walking, if he did then she would've looked zombie-like. She just didn't like if people saw her doing that because she wasn't aware of it until after she woke up. She had no dreams, not a surprise but no nightmares like she usually has, it was odd.
The silver haired woman awoke to the sound of an alarm, eyelids slowly parting to reveal those mismatched eyes of her, roaming the room for a moment before closing and taking in a deep breath. Today she would be going with Remus to his work, she didn't like that she was going with but she wanted to know if his vision was true, that that Sarah girl had a flash drive that she was going to give to the cloaked man. A hand moved up to her face, rubbing her eyes before she shifted, sitting up within moments before crawling across the bed and grabbing the bags off the floor.
She lay out her clothing on the bed, staring at them for a few moments before setting the bags down and climbing off the bed and walking out the room and into the bathroom. She didn't hear Remus come out of his room so she figured she would take a quick shower.
Sighing ever so lightly, Remus got out of the bed and stretched, his back cracking slightly. He thought he heard V moving around, but he wasn’t completely sure. Sometimes he thought he heard things when he really didn’t. The house was made almost entirely out of would with nearly all the floors wood, except for the tiled bathroom and kitchen. The bedrooms had carpet on the floors, but only over parts of it so generally you could hear movement; however, Remus wasn’t in a very observational mood this morning. He was quite groggy still from two not so great nights of sleep.
Getting out clothing that he would be wearing today, he settled for brown slacks and a blue sweater. Getting all the clothing he needed, Remus headed for the bathroom, rubbing his eyes some as he walked down the hallway. He didn’t hear running water and assumed it was perfectly safe and so he opened the door. He liked to take showers in the morning. They helped to refresh him and wake him up, the warm water jump starting his brain activity some; not that he minded when it was quiet though. ((Couldn’t resist the possibilities))
