The question's burning on, where is it coming from,
No one seems to know the monster born The soft sound of the breeze drifting through the leaves could be heard echoing throuhgout the forest, if one could even call it that. It was a rather small sized forest or rather what was once a great behemoth. This was the center, what the lumbar crews couldn't take down. There was something about the large and thickly knotted trees that gave most any normal person the chills.
Remus was not a normal person though. He found the dark confines of the ancient forest comforting as he walked down a path a deer path. The night held a slight chill to it though it didn't bother him much, a pair of dark slacks and a green short sleeved shirt all that he adorned. His shoes fell almost soundlessly on the dry earth but he didn't try and keep quiet at a few branches and leaves cracked under foot.
The white haired man found the dark of night and the enclosure of the forest to be a form of safety. If he could stay here than he wouldn't be able to hurt anyone again now would he? Though the silence of the night also allowed him to be able to think without interruption of other noises. His mind could run freely and he didn't suffer from any headaches that he tended to get while working or while he was out doing regular chores in the city. There was also a less likely chance of him breaking down and having one of his episodes while he wasn't being pressured from outside sources.
It seemed to be that the more his head hurt, the more likely it was that he was about to suffer from an episode though that wasn't always true. It was, however, one of the closest forms of detection that he had to prepare himself for one. He hated his visions but he relished them at the same time. While in them, Remus's mind couldn't go which ever way and torture him with its constant thinking. He couldn't control it most of the time so one could imagine the hard time he had sleeping.
One foot in front of the other, Remus walked down the path and listened to the wind. He knew he wasn't alone out here, the soft sounds of animals and an unknown creature could be heard if one listened close enough to the sounds of the wind. He wasn't all the worried though. Things didn't tend to attack humans at random though with this forest. One could never be too sure of anything. ((So its a pretty bland post. Just play along I guess.)) The forest was comforting, the way the wind blew between the trees and rustled the leaves in the canopy. At times it almost sounded like the chattering of teeth in the winter time, something many people are familiar with when out for too long. What made it even better was that people rarely came here because it gave them the chills, they feared what they did not understand, not only the landscape but other people and animals as well.
Vitani loved forests like this, they made her feel as if she was one with it. That if they could tell you how they felt, she would be able to feel it to the core and share it. Yes, the forest was beautiful during the day when the rays of the sun would bath upon the canopy and especially when it was able to squeeze between the gaps of the leaves and give a warm golden glow on the small plants and animals below. She enjoyed it more when the moon rose into the sky, bathing it all in an eerie silver glow. Darkness settling upon the land, a time when most creatures would be asleep and when the nocturnal come out of their burrows and nests. A time when those frightened of day can finally come out to play, not having to worrying about something watching it's every move. Able to duck and hide just about anywhere unlike daytime.
The white haired wolf moved through the forest, paws stepping lightly over the soft soil. Being here allowed her to clear her mind, let lose without anybody being around to confront her or get hurt when she loses control of herself. Ears facing forward, once every few minutes turning to the side but then going back to it's original position. Her nose would twitch slightly, sniffing the air for any signs that something was nearby but she figured nothing would since the forest had been engulfed in darkness about an hour or two ago.
An hour into her walk she come to a stop when she had picked up a scent that the wind had carried to her, somebody was here. The thought of somebody else being in this small forest brought a bit of irritation to the wolf, she would not be alone after all. She would check out this... human. It was better then continuing on and have him find her, the scent telling her it was male, and have something happen which should not have went down. A low growl rumbled in the back of her throat as she continued on, this time her paws moving a little quicker over the earth at a steady trot with head at shoulder level and body tensing up slightly.

As a particularly noisy gust of wind penetrated the forest canopy, Remus stopped walking. There was a slight prickling sensation on the back of his neck. Something bad was going to happen or maybe it was just an over zealous animal watching him. Whatever it was it made Remus somewhat unhappy. He was hoping to just have a peaceful walk through the forest and come out at the other end somewhat refreshed. His mind was working much more efficiently now though. Math equations and variables tittered away in his mind all adding up to help him with scientific theory that he had been working on at work.
At the same time however, Remus's mind was also pondering the forest and its odd characteristics. As he continued walking now, his senses more keyed into the surroundings, Remus zoned in on certain noises and movements that he caught out of the corner of his eyes. He wasn't afraid, there would be no scent of fear coming from him. His emotional capabilities were somewhat lacking in most senses though if something approached him he would be afraid. Though he might not portray it as a normal person would, he was able to rationalize everything and his mind was quicker than most. He could usually think up of a solution to something simple in just a few seconds.
While walking, Remus felt as though the forest told a story. The crackling of dead leaves and fresh ones hitting against each other in the wind. The sound of night owls searching for their prey, not to mention the ever so light sound of paws hitting the earth on a search for food. He could hear all of this if he just listened. His hearing was on average, better than most, but he still could only pick up a minor amount more of sound than your regular human. He just didn't have enough receptors to do so, his body physically was incapable of doing it where as his mental capacity was quite the opposite.
Taking a deep breath, Remus contemplated what secrets this forest must hold. He was not counting out anything either. He knew that there were other creatures that existed other than just humans and speechless animals. He had heard of them coexisting in some of the larger cities. Large groups that fought sometimes even. He had never met any in person, to his knowledge, but he thought that maybe places like this forest might have been the birth place for some of these creatures. Then again he didn't rightly know. All he could do for now was hypothesize and question. Without the proper data, one could not come to the proper conclusion after all.
An almost sleepy expression was on Remus's face as his hearing picked up the distinct sound of something moving close by. He brushed it off though with nothing more than the twitch of an eyebrow. His gate was long and slow, head held high as he observed his surroundings. The math equation finally finished in his mind, he had moved on to other things. Sometimes he truly did get tired of thinking. Rubbing one of his arms, the light of the moon reflected off of the curving scar tissue that wrapped around both of his arms. He didn't grimace though as his eyes caught sight of it. Instead he wondered what it meant. He had woken up with them in a hospital after his latest vision. He was still unsure what it could mean. He remembered the vision quite clearly though why he had harmed himself so greatly, he was unsure of.
A soft sigh, escaped from Remus's throat. His steps slowing as he made it towards the center of the path. He loved the center. Where the trees were the tallest and thickest. It was wonderful at night and even during the day. The only issue he had right now was that the foreboding feeling he had felt earlier, had come back. Only this time stronger.

Was she threatened by this presence? Naw, not at all, she was only a bit annoyed by it was all. Why should she be frightened of it anyway? Vitani could take care of herself, yeah there might be times where she might have to take off but that was rare since she did not like to back down from any type of confrontation. In a way she was a bit curious, this being could not be completely human, the humans were frightened to even enter the forest, especially this deep into it where they would definitely get lost within minutes if they did not keep track of their movements. of course she knew their were other creatures in this world but she tried not to encounter others so she did not have much knowledge besides rumors she has heard from eavesdropping once in awhile and from books she managed to get her hands on.
The wolf passed through the forest, stepping over roots that had twisted up out of the soil from the large trees surrounding her. Paws crushing dead leaves they step on, creating a soft crunch. Her eyes moved side to side, watching and keeping track of her surroundings, ears picking up the faint sounds of small animals moving around in the darkness. Feeling the gaze of an owl watching her as she passed over a small, slow moving stream.
She was getting close, she could hear faint footsteps crushing the dead leaves that covered the forest ground. The scent of a man was stronger as well, almost as if he was standing directly in front of her but that was because of the wind, blowing it right into her face. From where she was, she would be heading towards the man head on. Hm, she did not mind because all she had to do was stand there and wait for him to come into sight. That would be better then coming up from the side of from behind the man and end up possibly risking getting into a fight which was something she did not want at the moment.
Finally she had come to a stop at the end of a deer path, standing in the rays of the moon which gave her fur an eerie glow. She stood tall and stiff, mismatched eyes locking onto a moving figure that was heading towards her, left eye a piercing liquid gold and the right a metallic blue. She would not appear aggressive, calm and friendly... for now until this being made a move which would cause her to react in a way that would break into a possible fight.

Slowly he made his way, the wind blowing at him from behind. He was in no hurry to finish his stroll through the towering trees but he knew that all things had an end. For good or bad, everything eventually ended. Running his hands through his white hair, Remus looked up at the sky. He knew this path fairly well and he knew every step he took and how many he had taken since the beginning of the path. Remus even knew how many more he had left till the end if he kept of this particular pace.
Though it was rare, Remus caught a quick glimpse of the sky through the leaves of the gigantic trees. Stepping over a rather gangly and upturned root, Remus found a star system before the quick glimpse of the night sky vanished. It was a mysterious and beautiful thing, the night sky. You could see things that were so far away. Sometimes he wondered what this planet would look like from one of those distant stars...would you be able to see the sun that he saw on a daily basis. These things he pondered and thought on as he had done many times before. Still he came up with the same answer and still it annoyed him so.
The sound of a snapping twig under his own foot brought Remus back to his senses fully. He had gone deep into his own thought as he did sometimes and now that he had broken out of his trance, he realized that the deer path he was on was about to end and as he turned the last turn he came across a beautiful sight. One he had not been expecting though it made his skin prickle, with what he didn't know.
Shinning silver fur and mismatched eyes that almost mirrored his own. It was a wolf though unlike any he had seen in pictures or in real life. He stopped in his tracks though they were only a few feet away. He didn't want to seem aggressive though he sensed an intelligence in the oddly colored eyes that looked at him. An intelligence that did not belong to your regular Canis lupis. He imagined that there must have been a look of mild surprise on his face and he was somewhat but it diminished quickly as he filed the sight of this beautiful creature away in his mind. However what Remus noted foremost was the color of the wolf's eyes. He two had mismatched eyes; the left being a dark black and the right a liquid gold. Cocking his head to the side, he observed the creature, what could be considered a slight smile on his lips. "How similar we seem, you and I. Silver fur where I have white hair and incongruous eyes. I wonder were you deemed different for how you looked too." He spoke softly, his tone almost sounding disinterested in what he was saying but then again, he tended to sound like that quite often when addressing those with whom he did not know.

Human in appearance but with oddly colored hair and eyes like her. He was interesting in a way to the wolf, not looking like a regular human which she has encountered before. At the moment she could not sense any aggression or fear coming from him like she usually dealt with from others. Good so far, now to keep it up a little longer.
Coming within a couple feet of each other an in line of sight, the two stood there staring at each other, noting a few things about each other which were basically the same, Mostly the eyes and hair. This man, he was rather handsome for a human with such odd looks and she was sure that he could tell right away that she was not like any other wolf he might have encountered. Then again, she did not know him and so he might have encountered something somewhat like her in a way. Either way, she stood there watching him closely, her ears twitching slightly when he spoke to her with a slight smile on his lips. Similar, eh? Her silver fur to his white hair, both sharing incongruous eyes. Indeed, she was called out on her appearance, different. She did not mind but at times it did grow tiring, irritating.
Standing there, eyes slightly narrowed on the man. Vitani nodded her head slowly, stepping to the man's left with her tail held out behind her. Should she speak to him or wait? As she stood there debating on whether she should reach out to his mind or not, the wind had ceased, the forest going into a dead silence as if something bad was about to happen. "Similar in a way but completely different." Her thoughts reached out to his mind, voice soft like a child but held the feeling that she was an older woman.
She could sense something about him, just barely touching his mind only to communicate and already she could feel a lot of activity going on in there. More so than her own. There were times where she completely shut people and the world around her out and would sit there for hours, even days on lockdown. Trapped within her own mind, the beast within her making it clear at what it wanted from her and from the surroundings.

Yes there was not a normal animal intelligence behind the blue and gold eyes that this wolf possessed. He watched her intently as she moved though he could tell by her movements that there wasn't really any aggression behind her movements. And then something happened that Remus hadn't been expecting.
At first he thought that it was one of his vision starting up but then he realized that it was the wolf speaking to him mentally, his mind though reacted somewhat violently at the foreign touch of the females presence. He recoiled from her voice in his mind but he forced his instincts back and accepted it within seconds. He noted the way her voice sounded. It was young, almost childlike, but for some reason Ramus did not believe this creature to be a child. If anything she was around his age. It was then that he realized he was referring to the wolf as female. His brain had recognized the feminine intones without him even noticing. Something he didn't have to physically think about anymore. It was nice sometimes, other times frustrating.
He felt the wind cease as she spoke to him though he didn't pay any mind to it as of now. He also sensed something about this female as she had spoken to him. She wasn't just a wolf. There was something more to her, something intriguing that he wanted to know about though he mentioned nothing of it when he spoke. "Ah so you are more than as you appear. Then I was not wrong with my conclusion." He didn't speak more of that, his voice soft yet obviously masculine. "If you do not mind, might I know what it is you are?" He questioned tentatively. He was quite curious after all and he wasn't a very good people person so to him asking this question was reasonable. Wasn't it?

She could feel it, the way his mind reacted to her touch, it was what she had expected because most people had not felt it before. However, unlike the others, he forced it back and accepted her presence. That kind of surprised Vitani but in a way she liked that he did not completely block out her touch so that she could not communicate what so ever with him. It felt like forever since she last spoke with somebody, it was a bit comforting to finally be able to speak to somebody but she also had to be careful with this stranger.
"Hm, what I am... Well as you can already tell I am not what I appear to be." She lowered her head slightly before her legs began to move, moving towards the man to just about five feet of space between the two and began to turn to circle. It was now that she began to hear the whispers in her ears, telling her to do this and that, what to say and what to keep to herself. Pounce and attack, feel her fangs slice into his flesh, the metallic taste and scent of blood in her mouth and nose. The very thought caused the wolf to come to a stop on the man's right side, salmon pink tongue slipping out from between her jaws to run over her lips before being snatched back into the confines of her mouth while her golden eye looked up to the man. Would he fight back, groan in pain or yell in fear as he was eaten alive? No, she would not do such a thing... not yet anyway.
She had been standing there staring at him for what seemed like three minutes before she finally closed her eyes and shook her head briefly to clear her head of the whispering until it came to a stop. Then slowly she reopened them, staring straight ahead into the darkness of the forest, legs moving once again to carry her to the spot where she had been standing previously and looked back up towards the man. "I am not sure what knowledge you have of the races around you but as a simple explanation, I come from the Lycanthropes. Ah yes, a Lycanthrope. A beautiful creature but at the same time was quite dangerous. Everyone being different in their own way, just like a human, but they were known for their destructive nature as their true lycan form which the elders had better control over. Vitani might be young but she had okay control over herself while like that but she preferred to let lose, to show just how dangerous she could get.
"How about you? You look human but I have a feeling that you have something else running through your veins." She asked with the same tone of disinterest he had used moments ago. She wanted to know what he was, prepare herself for if he tried anything and so that she could later on go over any information she had previously gathered in her times of traveling. It would surely come in handy, but the more she stood here in his presence, the more she seemed to relax which was something she had intended to do alone when she entered the forest. She found herself not wanting any trouble now, lowering herself down and sitting back on her haunches with her long tail laying over her paws.

She was definitley not as she appeared, that much was obvious to Remus. The way she began to pace around him though, tearing him from his curiosities about her. She was definitley more animalistic than human, at least at this point in time. The night air brought goosebumps to his flesh, as well as the way she stared at him. Her eyes were hiding a very violent and animal like quality as she circled him, her tongue giving way to what he presumed was a wanting to feel his flesh between her teeth.
Though as he watched her shake her head, the presence that he had felt in her eyes vanishing quickly. He hadn't realized it but his body had tensed up some in nervousness at what he had felt. He relaxed himself though, not liking how the body reacted sometimes. Even if the mind was not afraid, your body could react in ways that would make it seem as if you were.
As the female in front of him, silver fur gleaming in the moonlight, told him what she was Remus nodded his head as his interested was peaked. "A lycanthrope. I have heard of your kind but have yet to meet one until now." His voice held a slightly curious lilt to it. He knew of the lycanthrope race though. They were deadly yet beautiful, being gifted with the ability to shift forms. They mixed freely with humans now a days but that was usually only in the larger cities. Remus didn't go to the city very often and if he had come across one of this girls kind, he wouldn't have known.
"I must say, though I have never met one of your kind before, you must be a prime specimen." He thought that it would be a compliment, something nice to say to her. His social skill were lacking, as was obvious by his rather distant tone and choice of words. He liked to be polite to those with whom he had just met, though he often failed at it more than he succeeded.
An obvious sigh escaped from Remus at the female's question about his heritage. Scratching one of his arms, the large twisting scars on his arms reflected in the moonlight, the taut and shiny skin looking almost silver against his pale and almost pallor skin. "I have always thought of myself as a human though I have never met nor heard anything of my father." Taking a breath, he looked to the sky, wondering what he could be if not human. "So I suppose that there may be some inhuman DNA built into my chromosomes but what it could be from, I know not." With that answer, he turned his mismatched gaze back to the lycanthrope.
He was being completely honest with her though. His mother never spoke of his father, in fact whenever he had asked as a young child, she looked frightened and didn't speak sometimes for hours. When he started having his visions, well then his mother seemed to loose all faith in living. He wasn't sure why, but apparently his visions and behaviors reminded her too much of his father and she didn't like it. He had determined at a young age that his mother had not wanted to become pregnant with his father's child. It seemed that his mother had truly hated his father, why though, he never found out.

She watched and listened to what the man had to say, he has not met one of her kind before? That was interesting, she would've thought that he had a few encounters with lycanthropes, most had a nasty habit of starting trouble with anyone that caught them on a bad day. They were quite destructive when in their true lycan form, V definitely knew that from experience. Lycanthropy was interesting, in a way she was glad that this gift was passed onto her. It can her things normal humans could only dream of having. And the power, it was intoxicating. The feeling she got when in her lycan state was absolutely amazing but like everything else, it had a downside. Both a gift and a curse. No Lycan can control themself on the night of the full moon, except for the Elders. When that night comes it seems as though your trapped, you can see, hear, and taste what is going on around you but you can't do anything to stop yourself.
V had zoned out, flinching as his voice reached her ears, glazed eyes focusing back on the male just as she caught him say something that would be considered a compliment. It made her smirk, either he was trying to get on her good side or he just didn't have anything else to really say. Either way she bowed her head, "Why thank you. I am unique in which there isn't anyone else around, that I have seen, with this color of fur or eyes. But others like me would think of me more like a dog." The last sentence she spoke seemed to irritate her for her voice grew a bit deep and emitted a low growl but she gave no other signs of aggression and it only lasted a few seconds.
His reaction to her question made the wold tilt her head to the side and perk up her ears, did he not know what was in him by now? By now she meant that he looked to be an adult so he should know by now, or at least have a guess as to what he is. V found out at a very young age, then again, that was under different, harsh circumstances. His scars caught her attention, mismatched blue and golden eyes glided down his neck and to his arm where they looked to twist around his arms. It made her think of her own, hidden by her silver fur, littering her whole body but mostly her chest, back and upper arms and thighs. She could remember where she got every single one... Now was not the time. When his gaze turned back to her her own eyes looked up to him. She wondered if he ever tried finding out what he was. "No idea at all then?" She asked.
"Do you have any guesses as to-" V cut off mid-sentence, her ears suddenly shifting to the right side of her head before it also followed. She heard something snap in the distance, not too far from their location. "You hear that?" She asked, slowly rising onto all four legs and taking a step forward towards a clump of trees. Her nose twitched as she tried to smell anything odd in the air that wasn't there before, there were the trees, the plants all around them, a few prey animals and... something else. Blue and golden eyes stared intensely into the darkness of the forest, lips slowly raised to reveal deadly fangs while forming a low growl that rumbled from the back of her throat. The hair along her nape and tail starting to bristle.

Anyone who would call the female wolf lycanthrope a dog would be greatly wrong in Remus’s mind. Of course, he didn’t know her heritage, nor if she was a pure blooded lycanthrope. His eyes didn’t deceive him, at least not when he wasn’t having one of his visions. Her fur was a silvery white that shined in the moonlight and her incongruous eyes boasted of some kind of chromosome split that made Remus curious. It was a shame that she would have been called a dog, especially since she seemed to irritate her so greatly; the aggressive growl and deepening octave in her voice enough to tell him that it was not something he would ever want to call the wolf.
Her reaction to Remus’s lack of knowledge when it came to his own heritage was curious. Was it odd that he did not know? It was something he pondered often, but he found it much too great a puzzle to figure out on his own. He had done research on many of the other species that lived in this world, yet he had found nothing that really matched up with any odd behaviors that he had. He hadn’t given up on figuring it out; however, Remus just didn’t think on it as much as he used to. He would figure it out eventually. He hoped that one of his visions would give him the answer, but so far none of them had.
The wolf seemed intent on wanting to know if he wasn’t fully human. Maybe she could tell something different form him? He wasn’t going to ask, but when she cut herself off with a snapping sound that came from somewhere in the forest. It wasn’t too far away, considering that Remus had heard it relatively clear. “It sounded like a rather large branch was broken…” He said softly, confirming that he had indeed heard the noise. By the wolf’s nervous reaction, Remus assumed that it wasn’t simple a branch falling due to the pressures of age and gravity or a larger animal stepping on sticks. Something else was out there and the lycanthrope thought that it might be a threat. Well that generally wasn’t a good sign.

Eyes narrowed, staring intensely into the dark forest, waiting to spot the slightest of movements that looked suspicious. Her ears twitched in different directions to detect any more sounds coming from the darkness, waiting to detect anything that shouldn't be there. V was worried at what the man said. Whatever was out there had to either be A, big enough to snap a large branch or B, strong enough to snap a large branch.
She was concerned about the guy, seeing as he didn't know what he was she couldn't really let him fend for himself. She would have to protect him as long as she could until they got far away enough from whatever was hiding in the darkness or until she beat the creature but that brought up another issue. Seeing as the creature was either large or really strong, the silver wolf would have to shift into her lycan form which was dangerous because not only would she loose most self control and possibly kill the creature, but she might turn on the man because he was just there.
Her head turned to him, going over the options flying through her head. It took her a few moments before finally making her mind, with that she moved so that she stood between him and the beast within the trees. "Whatever is out there we won't be able to outrun it and since you don't know what's in you then I'm gonna be the one to fight." She told him, glancing up at him over her shoulder. There was another snap of a large branch, then two more, much closer now. "When I change, stay out of the way... I may not be able to stop myself and I wouldn't want to hurt a future friend." Her voice grew soft as she stared at him. He seemed okay so far to her, didn't seem like a bad guy. She didn't want the guilt of ending an innocent life on her hands, it was different from the others she had to kill in the past.
A light breeze brought a strong scent from the creature to V's nose, immediately a snarl broke lose from her as she bristled up once more, her body tense as she prepared herself for whatever was about to break from the trees. A moment later it showed itself, head thrust forward and parting its jaws to give a thunderous roar that smelt like rotting flesh.

When the female wolf’s head turned in Remus’s direction after she had been concentrating on the darkness from which the noise had come from, he became curious as to what was going on inside oh her head. Her words didn’t so much worry him as make him feel bad. He pretty well thought himself human and had no means of defending himself unless he had some sort of weapon. Sure he had his nails and teeth, but what good would his body be against something large and/or strong. He really did feel bad about it, but his thoughts swayed from that when she said to stay out of her way when she changed. It was interesting that she had called him a future friend, though he would do as she said, but there was no guaranteeing that he would be completely out of her way if a fight broke out. “I will do my best to stay out of your way.” Something similar to a smile formed on his lips and he stepped back until he was backed up against a large tree. It was a strategic positioning really. Right now he wished that he knew what else was in his veins, if anything else was there besides human DNA. He wondered if he would have something powerful such as a lycanthrope or if his vast intelligence was due to what he was. He didn’t know and he had no way of finding out right now. There were tests that he could have taken, DNA analysis that he could do, but that was dangerous. If you had the wrong DNA in you, you could be hunted down and locked up. Some species were thought to be much too dangerous to be left alone, but they were near extinction now. A breeze and then a snarl from the wolf brought Remus’s attention towards the opposite tree line. He could smell something foul and found out what it was when a figure burst from the trees, roaring. It was ugly and fierce looking. The beast was large with muscles rippling down its front legs. A small sliver of fear curled up in Remus’s gut. It was the natural fight or flight instinct that was locked away in his animal body. He could no more control it than he could stop himself from sneezing. He wondered if the female wolf could handle such a monster. A knot of emotions welled up inside of him, mixing with the fear. He felt guilty for not being able to help, terribly so. He also was in awe of the beast, wondering what exactly it was.

The moment the beast broke from the trees the wolf's body began changing. Bones elongated, muscle shifting and stretching. In seconds she reached her lycan state, arms to the side as jaws parted to give just as vicious of a roar back to the beast. Muscles rippled beneath her skin, shorter and more fine silver hair covering her whole body from nose to tail tip with the same mismatched eyes that looked more intense. It was now revealed that she had many scars littering her body, deep ones across her chest and back, thinning to lighter ones along her shoulders, thighs and arms, some across her neck. Her aura, the feeling just by being around this silver beast made you wonder what she could do.
The two beasts stared at each other for a few seconds before he creature blew air through its nostrils, baring its fangs and crouching back before launching itself forward, large and powerful paws pounding against the ground as it charged with another thunderous roar towards V and the man.
Just as it had made its move so did V, she dropped down to all four with a vicious snarl and propelled herself forward. Claws dug into the ground as she charged, just within feet of the creature's snapping jaws she launched herself into the air, lashing out an arm and raking her claws across the creatures forehead before landing on its back. The beast growled in pain, digging its paws into the ground to stop, shaking his body to throw her off but she dug her claws into its flesh to keep herself from being thrown off.
In moments the beast went from shaking his body to bucking. It violently rocked back and forth, jumping from front limbs to his back ones in seconds, throwing the weight in an attempt to remove the beast on its back. She held on tight, even sinking her fangs into his flesh just below his mane, blood starting to leak from the wound. With another roar from the sabre-lion it bolted forward, charging right towards the trees as fast as it could go. Right before hitting the first tree he turned his head to the side, hitting the tree right on his shoulder and busting it right in half, seeming to have no effect on the creature.
V pulled her jaws away and lowered herself against its back so she wouldn't get hit by the broken tree, growling in irritation as it just kept going through trees then stopping every few moments to throw itself against the ground to try dislodging her from his back. This went on till it took out about six to seven trees, having gone in a circle around the spot V and the man were just minutes ago. During that V had sliced the sabre-lion's back up, blood running down its sides and dripping onto the ground but the creature didn't look to be tired or slowing down anytime soon.
The silver lycan pulled her claws from his back and was about to leap off into the trees to make quick but short attacks when it suddenly reached back with one of its large forelimbs and grabbed her by the ankle with a crushing grip. V roared in anger and pain as it tightened its grip then brought its arm down quickly, slamming her hard against the ground with a heavy thud. The air in her lungs was knocked right out of her, arms swinging, claws slashing at it's hand to loosen its grip. Blood now covered her clawed hands and jaws, splattering across her face and chest from the sabre-lion. She thrashed around trying to get lose before being thrown into the trunk of a tree, the force was enough to make it shake and made the silver lycan yelp in pain as she hit the ground.
Within seconds it was on her, running up to her body, bringing an arm above his head then slamming down upon her body with such force that the ground shook. The sound that came from her was enough to make anyone cringe, a yelp mixed with a scream, full of pain. Her mismatched eyes looked over to the man, having lost their ferocity. "Run!" She reached out to his mind but just barely, her voice in his head came out as a light whisper before being violently yanked away by the creature sweeping his clawed hand across the ground and throwing V into another tree. It was at this time that there was a roar of thunder in the sky and a flash of lightning, seeming to have come out of nowhere.
This creature was too much, she had bite off more than she could chew with this one. He was way bigger than her and stronger. From the moment she saw it she knew that she wouldn't stand a chance but didn't want to say so, she wanted to protect the man but didn't understand why. She didn't want him falling to this beast.
Slowly the beast walked towards the beaten lycan, corners of its lips pulled up in a toothy grin as he believed he had won this fight. Jaws parting, saliva dripping. He came to a stop just inches from her body, lifting his head, preparing to crush her skull in his jaws. At this time rain suddenly poured from the sky to the ground, heavy and loud.

Remus was rooted to the ground, yet it was not in fear as one might suspect. His mismatched eyes could not leave the sight that was shown to him as the she wolf began to shift into something different. He could visibly see her body elongating, the sound of bones popping and reforming into longer and more dense structures. Her muscles grew as her size grew, silver fur spreading out to different lengths across her body. She was a wondrous sight to behold; something so pretty, yet so deadly. He caught sight of the scars littering her furred body, the shear amount of them making him wonder what had happened for her to have obtained so many of them. She must have been in many fights or tortured badly. Then again, he had many scars on his own body, yet he couldn’t remember receiving all of them. Some he had no clue as to how they had gotten there. You could almost taste the tension between the two beasts as they stared at each other. Remus wondered who would move forward. With a vicious roar the lion like anime pounced while the lycanthrope female moved at the same time. The amount of force that was put behind each of their movements made Remus wonder if his new acquaintance would be able to take the monster. He wouldn’t have been able to turn away from the fight that unfurled if he wanted to. It was so intense and quick paced that he was intrigued and curious by it. He also wanted to see who would come out on top. He would almost say that it was like a natural predator fight over territories, but he had no idea whether or not this was the she wolf’s territory or the lion-like monster’s. The scent of blood reached his nose as the lycanthrope dug her claws into the monster’s back. The beast was trying to buck her off, reminding Remus of a twisted rodeo. Within seconds, the lion was running into trees, trying to get the wolf off of its back. The sound of trees breaking and splintering echoed across the forest, sounding even louder due to the lack of sound and other wood for it to echo into. They went out of his sight temporarily before circling back around. Remus would have thought that the lycanthrope would be the one winning, but it seemed as though the lion beast was still running on full strength. He then watched as the lion reached around and pulled the female from its back. She was covered in the monster’s blood from trying to get out of its grip, but it didn’t seem like she could. The yelp that came from her made Remus worried now. He could feel the fear building up inside of him. He tried to be rational about it all, but the fact was that this seemed like it would have a very poor outcome. The lion began beating on the lycanthrope, the pained sounds coming from her sounding like a mixture of beast and animal. Remus frowned, worry evident on his features as his mind tried to think of a way to get out of this. His thought process was interrupted by the she-wolf’s voice in his mind, not more than a whisper. He saw her looking at him and frowned more. A flash of lightening caused him to looked up, not remembering there being any rain forecasted for this evening. Maybe it had something to do with the lion’s or the lycanthrope’s powers, or he was just thinking too much as was usual. He thought about her telling him to run, but he would feel guilt about that later. There had to be something that he could do to help her. She had actually bothered to protect him in a way. An act like that didn’t deserve abandonment, even someone as emotionally handicapped as himself knew that. Remus watched in dread as the lion stalked up to the fallen she wolf; bloodied and beaten as she was. Looking away for a moment, his mind worked fast and he found a fallen branch the length of his arm, a jagged edge on it from breaking loose. He snatched it up in time to the lion’s mouth opening. Rain began to fall from the sky in torrents, drenching Remus almost instantly. He calculated the inertia needed for his next movement, though he knew it was very unlikely that he would succeed. The probabilities were against him; however, he figured that he was going to most likely die anyways, so why not try and fight for it. He still had quite a few things to figure out. Taking half a deep breath, Remus charged at the oversized lion. His feet dug into the dirt that was quickly forming into mud and pushed off, gaining speed quickly. He may have looked somewhat scrawny but he had always been rather quick for someone who rarely exercised. He reached the beast quickly and jabbed the pointed branch at the monster’s neck, where he would assume the carotid artery would be located. Even a beast this size would bleed out somewhat quickly. Though, how it was even standing he didn’t know. Alas, it was all he could really think of doing right now.
((Hope this works. =]))
