A little stunned at being so quickly dismissed, she nodded at his request and followed the servant to a little garden that was breath taking. She got a small cut of tea and waiting patiently thinking about how long he must have been out there. When he suddenly appeared she nodded to him in return a way of greeting. "Not a problem; This garden is beautiful." She smiled as he mused about the past. "Well, I'm glad you can take comfort in a place as beautiful as this." She said as she took a sip of her tea. ~----------------------------------------------------------------------~ He chuckled at her simply because she was being silly to him. In the olden ways this was how things were done, no questions asked. "I will have no respect for traitors to our kingdom, and I was following the laws of my king. and the king before him in the olden rules." That was all he simply said to her so far. He rolled his eyes reaching in his pocket and getting out his money he left enough for both food/drink and tip, leaving it on the table. Following her to the door he sighed, relishing the taste of bloody water he took a step out side. "What is it? I have another engagement to attend."

“I’m glad that your glad.” Cearuil said, offering her one of his more rare humored smiles. The servants returned with the food, it was an array of fruits and breakfast pastries and a bit of fish, that Cearuil ignored. He had odd sentiments in eating something that had fins, especially when he had fins himself. Instead he stuck to the sweeter things and the fruit, eating with refinement to the surprise of many. A servant came back and deposited some papers beside him with a look of outward fear. Cearuil observed the looks and when the servant left he chose to ignore the papers till he felt he could handle whatever bad news they contained. “I hope everything is to your liking though. It’s not every day we actually have company, it’s a nice change, less quiet.” He said wondering if she was really alright with being there. Though he wouldn’t outright say that he was glad to have someone there to keep his mind off of things for even just a moment, he at least wanted to see if she wished to leave. It was understandable especially after all that had happened and was most likely going to happen. All that would be disclosed later on the pages of those documents he was handed, including the testimony of the servant, whos daughter had been his fall out to committing his horrible deed.

"You can have no respect all you like but as you said those are OLDEN rules. Because of your little show here, I might not get the information I working for on the kidnapping. Do you think I would be caught dead in this thing if I didn't have to be." She told him, looking utterly disgusted as she mention 'thing', pulling at the pink fabric.
However, she did envy how he could kill without a thought. It was something she had yet to be able to do and her down fall so far as an assassin....if you could even call her that right now. Grumbling mentally, she gave Vin a look that could kill when he told her that he had another engagement.
"I couldn't give a flying fish if you were getting married in the next five minute, you are going to stay here and help me clean up this mess, along with apologizing to Tir for clearing out his restaurant. I don't care if you were in the right. Unless you have some sort of lead already, we need to get HIS information." She explained in a rather catty tone as she nodded over to the very peeved Meru. She wasn't really pissed at what Vin did, rather how he did it. Also, it was obvious she was taking out her frustration of being in a pink frilly outfit. She could careless that Vin could see the majority of her chest and most everything else, she had actually been in less believe it or not. It was the color and that she had to call every pervert in here 'master.'

Vin smiled at her," Well I will fix the water and such, I will not to manual labor for an underling. AS for information can't you just ask for it? It gets me all the information I want or they die, simple enough. The pink is an odd color for you, however it isn't UN-flattering either. I will speak with Tir. Excuse me." He said stepping around her easily, pulling up his sleeves a bit then said a few strange words then a whirl of water began to almost vibrate as it began to spin and bubble. It went in a pattern threw the door to sit in the container the medics were fixing to vacuum the water into out side, pulling all the water and refreshing it it felt crisp in the shop now and the water very fresh. "Tir? He asked the Meru, not really knowing how to exactly address him. " Niahm wanted me to apologize for emptying your restaurant and for killing here, it was necessary I will say but she finds it other wise. I was also wondering on some information on the case her and I are working. I would like to hear the information you have."~----------------------------------------------~ She enjoyed it when he smiled but her frown kept returning as she thought of the nights events. Take a few pieces of fruit she munched quietly watching him out of the corner of her eye. When a servant came with paper for him, they looked scare, her frown deepened." Is it bad? Thank you, it is a change form my mothers constant ranting at my father about simple things." She took a sip of tea then sighed, " Prince Cearuil, It was a pleasure being granted an audience with you but I was wondering If I could perhaps send off for some clothing of my own, If I am not allowed to leave till after the investigation? I feel strange in another s clothes to be honest."
She figured honest was her best trait here since he was honest with her-as far as she knew- she would be honest with him.

Cearuil looked to her, noticing her darker mood at the sight of the papers. He analyzed her his eyes quickly sizing up her reaction before he leaned back in his chair, taking the papers in his hand as he did. Might as well get the research all over with before he had to go stand in court with those stuffy officials anyways. And now to address such petty worries as clothing before of course… “I see no problem with it. Whatever will make your stay any more comfortable.” He said, having to stifle a small smile at the fact that she understood that she was in fact under suspicion. Whether she knew the severity of it or not, he couldn’t quite be sure, but at least she was perceptive, intelligent and well spoken. Honesty seemed to come naturally to her, for Cearuil was a better judge of a lie from all those years of having to be one step ahead of his enemies. It was hard to get away with much under his watch. His eyes flicked to the papers, gazing at the words, all evidence the Courts and his men have collected so far on the murder. He picked out the most important parts, including that of the servants confession. He couldn’t help his sneer, the way his eyes narrowed in pure hatred the paper could have combusted. When he felt he was beginging to get sick just looking at them, he looked away from the papers, tossing them into a still neat stack on the table. He looked peeved completely as he stared off at something far off in the water. “I don’t get,” He huffed finally, “Since when did men trade honor and the pride of their country for their own selfish needs.” The papers were set close enough to Maria that she could see clearly printed in the scrawled handwriting of a scribe and a scholar the cases high points, especially the part written in more italicized seeming print about the words of the servant Kai, responsible for giving the wine to the royal family. He shook his head. “Trading his country for his daughter? What a load of-“ He made himself stop, remembering he was still in the presence of someone, no less a woman. He sighed looking to Maria. “Perhaps I judge the man too harshly…Tell me, would you trade the security of millions for the security of one alone?” He asked looking to her with perfect ease at such a complex and possibly could be considered a very analytical question. He didn’t really ask to judge her or interrogate her real intentions, he just wanted to know her take. Something about this whole thing didn’t sit well with him and he just wanted to know if anyone on the outside could confirm his unease that it wasn’t just paranoia.

"Obviously, you don't have very good connections in the underground." Niamh muttered as Vin left, her cheeks tinged a tad bit pink from his odd complement. Shaking her head she walked and spoke with the paramedics. Afterwords, she began cleaning up. The restaurant was going to be closed for the rest of the day for total decontamination. After all, they didn't want any shark roaches--Niamh's little nickname for the tiny fish that liked to find ways into the enclosed water domes and pester people...especially after fresh blood had been spilled.
Tir saw Vin come up and almost decided to ignore him, however, he didn't and listened to his apology. He tried to keep from laughing, though it was obvious he found something amusing by the way his lips kept twitching as he tried to hide his smile. Alas, he couldn't help it and began snickering at Vin. "Sir, I will forgive the mess you made and I doubt she is mad about what you did, but rather how you did it." He explained and set down the cup he had been cleaning. "As for telling you any information....No. She scares me more than you do and I have her working for me for the day." Smiling, he chuckled, his face looking thoughtful. "Though it was quite the cute try. However, if you were working with her, wouldn't you understand why she got mad at the killing you just committed." Pausing for a moment, his eyes lit up. "Oh, you must not know. Unless you are completely dull, alas why not have a look at the tattoo on the back of her neck, I am sure a meridian warrior such as yourself would recognize it." A bit of a sinister smile was on Tir's lips as he shooed Vin away. He could be quite the antagonizer at times.

Nodding she thanked him, taking another sip of her tea. Watching his eyes go from an acceptable look to one of hate and disgust, her frown returned yet again. " I'm assuming its bad, yes?" She watched his throw the papers back down and look out into the water. She knew he was peeved it was dripping off him in thick coats. Thinking over his words carefully she paused to think about her words carefully. "One can only trade their honor and pride of self and country when they have none. Those who give it more willingly have nothing to give in return for the others. " AS she spoke her eyes were reading the paged, taking in all the details such as who said what and the servants testimony, she squinted her eyes a bit in slight disgust in what the man had said as well. Noticing that the prince knew she was reading, she puled her head up as she finished the last word, "Agreed. I would only if it were better for my country. If I knew my loved one would rather the country be safe I would let them go..." She said in a way that it wasn't negative but it came from both views of the situation. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Cocking his head to the side at how the Meru talked to him, she labeled the man as an idiot and let him go. He didn't care for those kind of people. When he heard about the tattoo he had forgotten he had pushed it to the side of his mind when he first met her. Eh turned from Tir and went to the door, looking at her as she spoke tot he paramedics, raising a finger and twirling a little then pointed at her, making a gush of water pass by her to raise her hair, revealing the tattoo on her neck. He did indeed recognize the tattoo, a man he fought in a war a few wars ago had one, just like it, same place. He was a man of honor, and he respected the man, he was a good challenge. That was the only battle he had to that he ever conceited worth his time-even the wars he was in. Narrowing his eyes he also remembered the man being closer to a Mermedian since as they broke together in fighting they discussed family. The man always spoke of a great grand daughter. Saying she was the pride of his family, or would be, when she grew up into a great assassin. The man got killed that day swarmed by a whole hive of sirens. ((Hive = 1000)) Shaking his head to get his mind out fo the past he straightened himself up and went out the door, walking past her completely and heading back to the castle, there was a meeting to attend to int eh kings favor...He hated doing this to his sons but they had to be questioned as well, no one was innocent unless proven so. ((that should make up for the time I forgot to post..I totally over looked it XD))

Cearuil couldn't help the small bit of surprise that crept into his features at her response. Her words were just what he wanted to hear, a little too close to his own thoughts for comfort. He smirked, letting his brows raise then fall as he took his own drink to his lips. "To be honest, I didn't expect that from you...I couldn't have said it better myself." He said, her words almost a balm to the burning anger. He allowed himself to keep the smile, even when the maid arrived, saying something in a low voice. "Seems the Council has arrived." He sighed, judging that he had at least a few more moments before he had to leave, not that he ever wanted to be ontime for these things. But..this would be over his father and over more of the investigation. "I'm glad you're honest Maria. Honesty is something hard to come by nowadays." ~~~ Daire was stuck in the hallway outside the Council Hall. He had a look of worry to him, that and determination. Out of all the time he had in silence, he was able to think things through a little more, guess just what he was going to say and do. He would have to keep Cearuil under control with his temper...the COuncil was a group of very wise and wrathful Mermidian's, dangerous men to make enemies of. No doubt he and his brother would be questioned and that most likely blame would fall equally on them as it would an outside source...he would just have to play his cards right, use his wits to work for an appeal and possibly save their skins in there. ~~~ A meru male swam into the cafe, but recoiled a bit at the doorway as he noticed the water tasted of blood. "What the hell happened here?" He hissed before he noticed Tir and the new lovely waitress standing besides one another talking about something. "Excuse me gorgeous." He said with a rather cheesy smile, "The names Philip, I haven't seen you around here before.." He said, not that he was there often. He was just a midway man for information, bringing in whatever was the buzz under the radar of the law and above it, to Tir. Not wanting to waste more time than he had he moved around her to get to Tir. "I need to speak with you." He looked Niamh and his brow furrowed slightly. He wasn't sure why but for a rather busty, pretty girl she let off an odd air about her. "In private." He added, not wanting the girl to go along spredding this new news like wild fire.
(sorry I'll color code it later. It's so frustrating to do with an ipod.)

Feeling a slight current shift in the water, move her hair, she pulled it down rather quickly, eying Vin with a half glare. Either Tir had told him something she would rather him not know, or he had decided to be a perv and missed his mark completely. Whatever the reason he left quickly afterwords, leaving her to puzzle the odd current change. It had to be him, she had seen him manipulate the currents before, keeping himself wet in the aired domes that the humans liked to dwell in.
Her eyes popped up from the table she was buffing as the door opened, a meru walking in. He stopped by her for a moment and his words were very unappealing to Niamh. However, she didn't make a scene and smile politely, if not with a hint of coyness about her. Continuing to wipe down the table she was on, she kept Philip in the corner of her vision. It seemed he wanted to talk to Tir alone. Well, she didn't like the man and after the business was complete, she was going to have her way with him. Something in her gut told her though, maybe this had to do with the kidnapping.
"Oh, Philip." Niamh called out in a rather breathy voice. Flipping over to him, she wrapped her arms around him, her chest pressing heavily into his chest. "When you boys are done with business, can I see you in the changing rooms?" She purred in a rather seductive way, right into the poor meru's ear, her hands moving lower on his torso. Giving Tir a quick wink, the seaweed black haired male knew what she was up to. Niamh didn't particularly like being called gorgeous by someone who meant it for 'obvious' reasons and she knew he knew something important. Why else would Tir let him stay?
"Whats up, Philip?" Tir questioned, trying not to laugh at Niamh's antics. She was not in a happy mood today and she liked to take it out on strangers, especially ones that were cocky. "Why don't you hand up that little decoration of yours till later though. Men only, right." He chuckled and offered Philip into his office.

Maria smiled at him, but her frown returned when the maid said it was time for him to meet with the council. "I'm always happy to give you my honesty Cear. Never hesitate to ask me anything." She said it in such a voice that it sounded almost like a 'favor' of sorts but she just emphasis in the statement for a reason- to make him think about things and her. Smiling again, she stood up, straightening her dress out, then bowed low to him, the low cut on the dress giving him a peek but she didn't mind. "I will hopefully see you after the meeting is adjourned Cear. I will be in my room. " She nodded to the maid as she escorted her back to her room. But before the maid left she asked her to fetch her a messenger so she could fetch her own clothes. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As he approached the room where the Council was getting ready for the meeting, he looked to find Daire in deep thought waiting. "Prince Daire, are you alright? You need to relax, If you uptight they might think you did something." He said in a soft tone, more to try to cheer him up-but he himself was on the council so he was reporting. Nodding to him he saw Cearuil coming down the hall. Stepping into the room he looked around seeing the other Mermidians and how old they have gotten, none looked youthful any longer, most with grey hair, looking brittle. Walking to his post an inward seat, two from the high council men he sighed having a seat next to a bookish Mermidian, she didn't like Vin because of his hair, she hated red heads, always muttering about them not having souls. "Good years fellow Mermidians, The princes have reported and are waiting." He told the elder, he nodded then looked to the guard at the door, expecting the princes to be let in as it was about to begin... ((Okay the counsel is free game ))

(kay this is loooong so be ready to read) Cearuil’s eyes didn’t leave her face as she spoke, he was unable to look away it seemed. Not that the revealing little bow she gave wasn’t just as eye catching, but something about hose clever little eyes of hers, those red lips, and that fascinating tongue just called to him. He knew it was because she was an interesting find in all of this, that possibly she was different from the women he was used to. Whatever the case was, he was juggling his father’s death, his assassination, a possible war, and a despairing country that was currently under the power of his mother. He didn’t have time to play and certainly he didn’t trust his feelings at the moment too much with his head so jumbled anyways. He continued down the halls and passages till he found Daire, looking slightly uneasy outside the hall. “Daire…don’t look so anxious.” Cear said and Daire nodded, “I know. Vin already told me.” He smiled, that soft and compassionate smile that made Cearuil smile himself. Whatever the outcome was of this meeting, he still had his brother, Vin, his mother, and hopefully Maria to turn to. It was a nice feeling, though Cear would never admit it aloud. The Elder council men looked to Vin, his news of the Princes making the ancient Mermidian nod. “Let them in, Ramos.” The guard at the door opened it, allowing Cear and Daire to step into the watery room. Instantly their forms shifted, their legs turning to fins as they stood and waited to be summoned to the Council’s circle as was customary. (the one depicted from the first post. Whenever The Council convenes it is in this room kay? Oh The Elder is the top guy also from the first part with the beird. He looks like Poseidon hense that’s what his name is lol ) “Come forward Princes of Atlantica.” The Elder’s voice boomed making the water in the room seem to grow still and even Cearuil tense slightly. The two made their way to the center of the room, both looking up at The Elder that sat on his throne. The Elder studied the two. He’d been in the company of Daire before, seen the boys temperament and selfcontrol, much like his father in that aspect. But, Daire lacked passion where Cearuil succeeded. He was a strong leader, though reckless, he was someone the people could look to for protection and the kind of man many a soldier would die for. But it would seem that they were just boys, barely even having the years of knowledge needed to take on such a heavy responsibility as controlling the most powerful nation in the seven oceans. Would they really be able to handle something that could crush them, turn them to monsters, or make them the most famed men in history? But that was the reason this meeting was called after all, to decide the course of actions necessary. “I knew your father. He was a good man, a great ruler. But like everything, his time has come and a new shall begin, once the situation has been further explained of course as to why his long life was cut short…” He gave a look to the scribe who stood, reading out loud the evidence found. Mostly it was the accounts of the witnesses claiming to see a shady figure in the alley near the palace gates handing off something to a man dressed in black, the cups and the poisoned bottle, the testimony of the servant responsible, the guest list, and recent events in town, such as the bootleg liquor business coming from the Mediterranean Seas gypsies and the Pacific Ocean’s Siren’s recent defeat. There was tension to be found on all sides, each of the seven kingdoms having reason to target the Power of the Atlantic.
(The seven seas of the past are the kingdoms *now I believe there are only five but you know I think seven sounded cooler* Atlantic *Mermidian’s and Meru*, Arctic *Selki’s and cold climate Meru*, Indian *Warmer ocean fish have brighter colors and darker skin* , Pacific Oceans *Sirens, humanistic looking Meru who don’t have tails, they take the form of water when they swim so they are very quick and have fangs, can sing, but cannot last outside of water* and the Mediterranean Sea *Gypsies, think of like the gypsies of Romania* , the Caribbean Sea *Shark type Meru and other stranger fish, known for their giant squids and exiled Meru and Mermidians* , and the Gulf of Mexico *Smaller, or lesser developed nation, however is the most peace oriented, Kind of like the Canada of the group with a mix of everyone lol)
Cearuil knew this quite well, as did Daire, who exchanged looks when the foreign policies were discussed. “Might I add another point to the discussion of evidence.” Another council man said, getting to his feet and he cleared his throat. “The courts have received threats from an anti-war activist group that claims to have been the orchestrators of the assassination.“ Cear couldn’t help his scoff of something unintelligible or the way his eyes narrowed at the scrawny Mermidian. Daire reached for his shoulder but the voice of the Elder stopped him. “Prince Cearuil, or should I call you Warrior Prince?” Cearuil turned his gaze on the Elder, it was not a glare but it was stong, prideful, and perfectly serious. “Whichever pleases the Spirit of Atlantica.” He said, using the Elder’s own title as a small jab at him. The old Mermidian didn’t smile, but there was something that sounded like faint humor to his voice as he spoke again.
“What is your take on this situation?”
“Well to start, Elder chair member, I would like to say that this couldn’t have been some kind of anti-war threat. No elitist group or anarchist faction would assassinate the one thing keeping the nation together. None of those cowards and idiots would have the kind of technique or connections to find the man most capable of preforming the deed, let alone not leave some kind of trail. Especially since the poison used couldn’t have originated here.”
“Please…elaborate that for us young prince.” One member said, a rather smug smirk on his face. Cear didn't even seem to acknowledge him.
“As I was saying, the poison was from a fish found near the Mediterranean, a very rare and reclusive creature that only lives for 30 days in a certain time of the year. It’s almost impossible to find, so many don’t know it exists. However, it was a poison favored by the Siren’s, their elite killers coated their blades with it before each battle, as did the king and his guardians.”
A murmur went over the Council till the man who had asked about the poison glared at Cearuil. “Are you saying that the Siren’s, a completely decimated and conquered nation would dare challenge Atlantica in their condition?” Throughout the room Cearuil heard things like “preposterous” And “impossible” but his look didn’t waver as he stared the council man down with a certain intensity to his stare.
“Yes. That’s exactly what I’m saying.” Though the first council man shrunk back under Cearuil’s stare another quickly chimed in.
“But might we be reminded that their weapons were removed from their store houses and no such poison was ever found.”
“And,” Another man said standing from his perch a seat away from the Elder, “you have been conditioned against the poison in question have you not?”
Cearuil’s lip twitched into a sneer but Daire jumped in before Cearuil could spit out something hateful at the councilmen. “Yes, my brother was conditioned against every type of poison. It is a common practice for every Commander.” Daire looked to Vin, his eyes pleading with him to jump in with something before Cearuil lost it.
"Which only puts more suspicion against him. Why wouldn't he want to kill the two people standing in his way of the throne? After all the wine was given to every royal member except the Queen.” Another round of murmuring went through the room till finally another councilmen interrupted.
“But wouldn’t Prince Daire have more reason to have a hand in this? It’s clear he had more motif, what with Prince Cearuil’s deeds in war and favor with their father, his seat on the throne could have been compromised.”
“But he holds one of the largest popularity bases over the people of Atlantica. The people adore him! What reason would he have to worry about his seat of power?”
The bickering began and so did the back and forth comments that echoed throughout the room. Cearuil was almost visibly shaking with anger now, Daire trying to calm him unsuccessfully. The Elder watched the scene taking place but didn’t say anything. He was watching the princes, seeing how they were taking this… ~~~ As Maria walked on by, escorted by a maid, a few gaurds walked by, talking about last night and the servant found guilty of poisoning the king. “Can you believe it? He gets to live! I say we should execute him, string him up by his gills!” “Now Horace, you and I both know it is not wise to kill a perpetrator before you get all the information you can. Perhaps he will lead us to the real criminals by finding that daughter of his.” “Yeah, what was that little things name that he was so mournful of a few days ago? Amy….Cara….. Leila?” “Lily, you twit! Lily.” The maid gave the two a scornful glare, making them tense then bow in apology. “Sorry ma’am…” They said before walking off. The maid sighed looking to Maria. “I’m sorry, men can be so boorish sometimes.” ~~~ Philip gulped at having Naimh close, the fabric of her outfit not doing enough to hide the softness of her chest or the other feminine curves. He was in a bit of a daze at her equally beautiful face but when Tir spoke he remembered he had business to attend to. “Later sweetie.” He said before following Tir into his office. Once the door shut, he let his chest fall with a breath as a small smirk colored his features. “Where do you find these girls?” He said, silently thanking the human’s for their weird fetishes that procured there beautiful Meru women from all parts of Atlantica. “Lucky, that’s what you are. Or at least you will be-more so I mean- after I give you this tid bit of info you might find interesting.” He sat on the edge of the desk, rather informal for even a Meru from the lower class areas but Philip wasn’t exactly the most polite or socially trained men either. “So I was down in the Reefs, you know, out by where that deal gone wrong with a couple Mediterranean’s and the locals. Not so good area now though, used to be the best place to party-ah well-war screws up everything. Anywho, I was talking with a couple of reliable sources who started talking ‘bout the old his Highness’s death. I know you know about that, so I’ll skip to the good part. Security got tighter and all that jazz. You can’t so much swim on the left side of the street or look at someone funny without some soldier or officer hassling you. Seems the Mediterranean’s are pissed too-and don’t get me started with the crime circle out near the west gate. They’ve actually made that place a ghost town!-Well, back to what I was saying. Seems in all this tight security, information’s hard to come by, but you know me-always reliable!-Anyways, my source tells me about a day or two before this royal feast yeah, the foreign dignitaries started arriving for the celebration. Well seems one dignitary that was on the list arrived then disappeared the next day. No one saw him on the streets, or leave his room, not even his buddies in high places. But the funny thing is he attended the party at the palace. Stranger is, one of the King’s most loyal servants was found guilty of planting the poison in his drink. Says his daughter was kidnapped by some guys that told him to save her he had to poison the Royals.”He rambled a little more about the minor details before he finally seemed to find his point. “Anyways, the girl went missing the same day the ambassador arrived...I don’t have much to say he had a hand in it but…Here let me show you something.” He ruffled through his pockets and tossed a small paper onto the table. It was a notice, one’s foreign ambassadors received from their rulers to allow them to travel to different kingdoms under that kingdom’s protection. He watched Tir for a moment, seeming like an excited child that just wanted to spill his clever little secret. “So notice anything strange about that document. The seal is real and so is the signature from the king of the Indian Ocean but…Notice how Jaipur, the capitol, is spelled? J-A-I-P-O-R.” He pushed off the desk, folding his arms as he beamed with pride at his handy work. “Jaip-or! It’s obviously fake!!”

((Imp gave us permission to carry on for a bit with out her... ))As Maria listened to the men as they passed, she frowned. She felt that the man was wrong and shoudl have been put to death but the daughter as lost probably by now if not sold. In her opinion it was a waste of time. But her opinion didn't count lucky him. "Don't worry, I'm not taken aback or anything. I'm level headed like Prince Cear. I think in a more military manor." She put simply so that the maid-by many chances- knew how the prince thought and such so she thought about the same. ---------------------------------------------------- "If you don't mind, I feel that if either of the Princes' had a hand in the murder of the king then why would they put poison in the royal wine and not have any idea who placed it there? Much less show up here or even stay in the palace instead of leave? Wouldn't they run or act a bit suspicious then out of the normalcy? I think they would..They are young if they did it they would have made a mistake- every beginner does." He stated his point and a few murmured in agreement. Both princes were acting normal. They were both grieving in their own way- none were gloating or such vanity- they were comforting each other.

The maid looked back at Maria and scoffed, "Ah, yes madam. But might I say that Prince Ceruil is far from level headed." She walked ahead of her and offered the door to her room open. "I'm glad however that he has found someone that can sympathize with his thoughts." ~~~ The councilman that challenged Cearuil before look to Vin and his eyes narrowed. "And your prepared to make such a statement at the expense of your country? Is it not right to suspect the boys closest to the victim." "You're obviously close to them Vin, more so than the rest of us." "Avery, that's quite enough." The Elder said, holding up a silencing hand to the room. They all quieted and the Elder looked directly at Cearuil. "Prince, do you trust the word of Vin?" Cearuil wasn't careful to hide his temper at all as he spoke to the Elder. "Vin is the most trustworthy warrior I know." He said and the Elder looked to Daire. "I'd trust him with my life." The Elder sat back and gave a long breath that let bubbles raise above his head. "And so...we're brought to square one. Pointing fingers does not solve this crisis. Better to investigate further...forgive us the inconvience Princes but as expected you will be watched closely for the next few days. I suggest you take that to heart and refrain from drawing suspicion to yourselves. I agree with Vin, it is not common in our world for sons to turn against father and men to risk the stability of their home for power. After all, you Meru are loyal creatures..." Cearuil's eyes narrowed at being talked down to, but he knew better than to challenge or argue. After all, Daire's hand on his shoulder was begining to hurt him with all the pressure he was giving him in that grip. "But it cannot be over looked that you brought challange to our enemies of the Pacific. They will also be watched for movement." Daire nodded knowing where this was going. The council was till discussing around them but the voice of the Elder held the most weight. If he believed the Princes were innoccent they would be okay. Or at least Daire hoped, as long as they could glide through this without problems. "Cear...promise me you'll hold your tongue, just for now." Daire whispered to him and Cearuil looked over at him. "What do you think I'm doing? That Avery is lucky I don't want the smell of blood in the palace." Daire looked his brother in the eyes, seeing the anger but the hurt deep down in there. He knew Cearuil wouldn''t admit it and he didn't want someone to point it out. Daire pulled away, folding his arms behind his back as he waited to hear the plans of the Council.

She was going to correct he maid but she did it herself by saying that he finally found some one to share his thoughts, that made her smile, she was glad he finally had some one who thought like him."Very well, when I get back to my room, I was wondering if my things had been delivered as of yet? I was wanting to change so I could have lunch with the Cear." She asked nice enough wondering if every thing was going okay.

Vin looked at Avery, his old friend who was second guessing him. He didn't like that. A loose end, an unreliable 'friend' is now an enemy and needed to be put down. He took note of what he needed to do and marked him. Vin was an executioner, the Counsel knew that, most were afraid of him but those who spoke out against him usually regretted it. "I do not make statements at the expense of my country. You of all things should remember that. It would do you well. As for the Princes, of course I am close to them, I helped raise them." He said it was already after meeting but he still needed to make his point. The others didn't seem to understand. He knew the boys inside and out. Neither of them were wanting their father to die, neither wanted the country yet, until their father gave it to them.

The maid nodded. “Yes, madam they should have arrived by now. I’ll have the servants place them in your room in haste.” She said, dipping down in curtsy. She looked to a servant in the hall and told him to grab Maria's things. ~~~ Avery shrunk back at Vin’s voice, seeming to have a physical aversion to it. He knew he was in trouble for commenting but he couldn’t let those self-righteous shits get off clean without even some suspicion. Cearuil looked to Vin, listening to him speak. It took the edge off of him, at least allowed him to relax a bit more. Daire was glad they had at least someone to silence those opposing and looked to the Elder with a calm and collected look. “We will do to the best of our ability anything to help find the person or persons responsible, but for now new evidence needs to be collected, something a bit more concrete.” Daire looked at each of the members then to the Elder. “It would be better if we weren’t subjected to investigation, but we understand the reasonings.” “Do you now?” Cearuil looked to Avery and nodded, with more composure than previous. “We understand, it’s a necessary course of action, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the functioning of the kingdom of course.” He and Daire could sense that they had gotten through to whatever bubble of conversation that had been previously up. No one spoke, till finally Cearuil gave a sigh. He wanted out of there, out of the damn room and into maybe the open water and as far away from this Council of idiots as possible. And was it wrong that he was also curious as to what Maria was up to?
