William Price woke up on a sunny July morning in New York City. He sat up and stretched his arms and yawned as he did so. He stood up and looked out of his window at Central Park and smiled, he loved the view he had. He lived in a high rise apartment with his father, he was a very rich man and therefor lived on the highest level of an expensive skyscraper. William walked out of his bedroom and into the main hallway that led down a set of stairs into the kitchen. William hummed something from Beethoven on his way down, the name he couldn't quite remember at the moment. “Dad?” he called out. “Dad? Are you home?” he called out again. He walked into the kitchen and saw a piece of paper lying on the kitchen counter. William walked over and picked it up.
William:
I'm sorry to have to say this but I will be away on business for a few days in Canada (I'll bring you back something like I always do when I go somewhere “exotic”.) Try not to have too much fun while I'm gone and just be careful if you have anybody over, I don't want anything valuable to be broken. I have my cellphone with me so If anything happens just phone me and I'll be on the first flight out.

P.S: Don't forget to practice your piano.
William smiled at the last part. He had been playing piano for thirteen years and he hadn't missed a single day since, except for the time he broke his left ring finger at a Tae Kwon Doe tournament and even then his injury stopped him for one day. That was a long time ago. Years later he still did Tae Kwon Doe and played the piano nonstop and only recently his father had gotten him to take up fencing, which was a new and fun experience for him. William shook his head and smiled "It's like my father is making me into a soldier." William walked back up the stairs to the bathroom. He turned the water on and looked at himself in the mirror. His dirty blonde hair was sticking up in several spots from sleeping and his light green eyes looked tired. He took off his night shirt and threw it to the floor. William wasn't exactly the most muscular guy around but he did have the making of a six pack, pecs and had some arm muscle.
He turned away from the mirror and jumped into the shower and let the warm water run down his body. He quickly washed his hair and got out. He dried himself off with a towel and walked to his room and got dressed. He put on a black undershirt and a brownish red T-shirt a pair of light blue jeans. William walked out of his room and grabbed his black leather jacket with white fur on the edges. He turned around and locked the door with the keys he took out of his pocket. On his way to the elevator he felt his cell phone vibrate in his pocket. William took the phone out and looked at who was calling and smiled. He flipped the phone open and said “Hello Alice.” There was a giggle on the other end of the phone and then a voice said “Hey William. How are you this morning?” William smiled and said “Just fine. Whats so funny?” There was another giggle and then a voice was heard in the background. “Alex was begging me to phone you to come down the the cafe for breakfast. And now he is making funny faces at me.” William pressed the elevator button and was lucky enough to have the elevator waiting for him on his floor. William pressed the PG button for “Parking Garage”
“Well tell Alex to stop being such a jerk and I”ll be at the cafe in a few minutes.” There was a slight pause on the other end of the phone and then Alice's voice came on and said “He says that he isn't a jerk and that he is waiting for you so he can beat you up. I'll see you when you get here.” The other line went dead and William put the phone in his pocket. William sighed as he heard his stomach rumble as he waited for the elevator. "Easy buddy. You'll get fed soon." he said as he heard the elevator stop.
The elevator dinged open and William walked towards his car. He heard the familiar beeping of his car and he stepping into the drivers seat. He started it up and drove out of the parking garage. William drove for a few minutes before stopping at a red light. “You do not belong in this world William Price. You belong elsewhere.” William jumped as he heard a child like voice speak to him. “Who is this? Where are you?” he said as he looked around in his car. “You are not like the other people in this world, you are meant for a much larger purpose.” The voice said again. “Where are you!?” William yelled as he looked in his car. “We are sorry to do this to you William Price.” His car lurched forwards even though William slammed on the emergency brake. “What the hell?!” he screamed. He heard a loud horn honk. William looked to his left and saw a semi trailer driving towards him. William grabbed his seatbelt and tried to yank it off but nothing happened. “NO!” he screamed. The semi trailer slammed into the side of his car and sent it skidding across the road. William felt a sharp pain in his left arm and felt his head slam against the steering wheel, so much for the airbag being deployed. His car skidded to a halt four lanes over and leaning against a pole. William tried to look around but couldn't, he was sure his back was either broken or he was stuck. He felt his eyelids grow heavy and he tried to stay awake but he couldn't and eventually blacked out.
The sound of a thunder crack brought William out of his slumber. He was able to look around and could move his arms and he was no longer stuck in his car. He was sitting on the ground drenched with rain water and sitting under a large tower. “Where the hell am I?” he said to himself as he looked around. He knew that he wasn't in a hospital or out on the street anymore. He was somewhere totally different.
