As the food got there he dug in as he knew she would. When she brought up Riften he nodded- never having been there he was curious. " I don't blame him- they hate every one not a Nord there...Its disgusting. They always think that the Dovahkhin will be a Nord now a days- there are rumors I've been hearing lately...Mostly at the college that the dragons are returning...Another reason I want you to see them. I hope its a elf just to put a stick in their eyes." He said with a smirk a bit quiet because of their company but in proper manners still. As he chewed threw some bread a boy approached their small table and looked them over," Your strangers- what brings you here?" Atrious looked at him a bit strangely and smiled," Just passing threw on College Business Lad." The boy's eyes squinted a bit as he looked them over. "Nords don't usually travel with Elves...Why are you traveling with her?" He boy asked bluntly as he looked Neve over then back to Atrious like he was a Nord like himself. Atrious smirked," Well to be honest-" He was cut off by a rather large Nord man coming over and taking the boy by the ear and dragging him back to the bar where he was buying supplies from the bar man. He came back over with the boy out the door taking things to a cart to load up as punishment. " I apologize strangers...My boy didn't say anything rude did he?" Atrious shook his head with a smile as he stood to shake the Nords' hand that was offered in good faith, his eyes narrowed a bit at Neve however then he looked back to Atrious. " No no- it was quite fine- just a curious lad that's all." The tall nord smiled, his bearded face pulling a bit as the smile was strained as his eyes did fall on Neve again in slight confusion. "He did however bring up a point boy..." Atrious frowned," We are traveling companions... on College business..." He said his tone changing from polite to almost a strong tone holding a bit of hostility and rudeness at the verbal insult he just said openly about Neve. He didn't take nicely to people insulting his friends. His had went for a vial on his side and the Nord held up his hands in a non threatening way, his face getting pale. Nords feared magic in a seance and it was good for them to have a healthy dose too. " Woh now boy- Don't use none of your magic on me...I don't want none of that. I was just asking. Its odd to see a Nord with an Elf- much less a Nord who uses magic is all...Its a curious thing." Atrious frowned not even wanting to be associated with a nord any longer, he pulled some hair back to expose his pointed ears and the tall Nord and a few others who had been watching the confrontation drew in a sharp breath," I'm an Elf...You Nords assume the worse of anyone not like yourselves..." The tall nord frowned and almost scowled at him," Thats a neat trick but you should watch yourself- If the storm cloaks catch ya- your gonners." The nord said as he left leaving not really in the mood to care for them any longer- they were Elves oh well. Atrious glared at a few others till they went about thier business however one man kept looking at them like it was a holiday and they were the only ones not dressed up. Atrious did his best to ignore him but went about finishing his food before muttering to Neve," Can you believe some people now a days- rude as ever..." He was of course mentioning the man in the corner who was wearing a robe of sorts maybe form a temple but he wasn't sure.

The Dovahkin mention made her blink. Mostly because she understood what he was talking about. Most people didn't know the dragons term for the chosen one, they only knew them in the Nordic language by Dragonborn. She had heard the legend of the Dragonborn, Talos and the first dragon born. They were tales of war and victory, terror and sadness, love and loss, but all the same important to the people of Skyrim. She smirked lightly at his hope for the Dragonborn to be elf. Like that would ever happen the. The Dragonborn had always been born a Nord, a son of Talos or rather. She was about to make a comment back when the cild approached them. At first she found his statement intrusive and felt her anger spike. She knew it was a child but still, it was ridiculous how much hate these Nords breeded within their groups. She was content when the father showed up and took the brat away, but when he to gave her a look she tensed. She was not in the mood for this crap, especially not today of all days. She sat pretty and listened to him speak almost laughing cruelly when they both he was Nord. Gods people were stupid. Atrious was more elf than she was just by personality alone and the fact he stuck to the native gifts in magic. Sure he looked pretty Nord but not enough to make him one. She was glad Atrious was done with this and stuck up for her before she had to. That man wouldn't have like getting his ass handed to him by an elf, aparently when he thought it would be his place to point out races in this mix. She smirked at scowl Atrious recieved and as the Nord walked away she scooted a bit closer, not going to tell him it was because she felt uneasy in this room full of stares and whispers. She started sitting up straighter as she enjoyed the last piece of apple she had sliced. The man in the corner was getting creepy though so she gave his shoulder a touch. "Atrious, am I the only one getting an odd vibe from the guy back there? Like maybe his stare is a bit too much." She glanced over her shoulder and actually met the guys gaaze. He didn't look away but she did, whipping her head back to face forward and pretend it never happened.

Looking Over his shoulder with a glare he gave the man a dirty look- he didn't look away but Atrious turned his attention backto Neve leaning in close to her ear. " he is a creep for sure... If he follows us we can confront him if not leave it be." He said returning to his roasted leeks- they were some of his favorites. He stood up and thanked the bar man again hen left with Neve behind him. He went to the stables and got his horse read however there was suddenly a shadow in the door way behind them- the creep from the corner...

Neve heard someone approaching and her instincts reacted. She turned looking back to find a shadow blocking out the door. "Atrious..." She began before she looked to the guy and quinted to find it was the priest from the corner. "Look we don't want trouble so itd be wonderful if you could move out of the door alright?" She called to the man, subconciously grabbing her dagger at her waist in case he started something.

The preist looked from Atrious to Neve with a warm smile," I beg your pardon however did I happen to over hear you speaking of the Legend of the Dragon born?" Atrious looked at Neve and shook his head at her hand on her dagger. "Yes- we were discussing a rumor now hat is it to you?" He glanced at them looking them over," You seem to be more to me- The great and mighty Talos who guilds me in this life as he shall in the next is telling me something about you- about you both that you are.. special..." Atrious rolled his eyes at him," Good and dandy and all Preist how ever we are not Nords... We are elves... I follow Auri-El, Trinimac, Magnus, Syrabane, Jephre, Xarxes, Mara, Stendarr, Lorkhan, and Phynaster...These are my deities... Talos holds no place in my heart. " He was rather rude about his words but he just wanted this man to leave them alone the priest however waved it off like water from a dog's coat. "That matters not who you follow or who I follow- All that matters is that you realize that there is something special about you both...Some aura about you that makes it so..." Atrious was ignoring him at this point making it obvious he didn't believe this so the priest turned to Neve looking eager to go on.

Neve felt a bit strange when this priest began with mentioning their conversation about the Dragonborn. It was odd that the man would care about two people simply having fun with the idea of an elf dragon born. However when he started in on talks of Talos guiding him to them she shook her head in disbelief. Great, was this town full of Nords sticking their noses where it didn't belong? She was with Atrious on this one, at the time thinking this was some kind of self righteous lesson till the man spoke of them being special and auras.... She paused, her eyes meeting the priests. The Jarl of Morthal had said something similar about their auras being different. she looked to Atrious again, wary at first. He didn't seem to be paying the man much min,. but something in her told her to at least let him finish. She looked to the man and gave him somewhat of a polite look. "Tell me...this aura about us. What is Talos telling you is so special then?" She asked raising a brow, hoping this wasn't just some crazy persons rant.

When Neve asked him to go on he smiled and started stumbling over his words before he took a deep breath and started over," Yes the Auras' there was a book from when Talos himself smiled upon Skyrim and described the aura of the Dragon born- A priest wrote this in translation for us- the children so we may seek to find the next Dragon born as it is evident by the return of the dragons. Yes I have seen one with my own eyes- By Whiterun...They have returned my Elven fellows...Your auras' its like what the book describes- like a smooth river with ice across it in places with sharp jagged corners however there is a large immense power underneath that thin ice...The soul.... the soul of a Dragon... May I ask you a question have you ever heard of a Thu'um- or as some refer to it a 'shout'? Its a thing that can be used in the language of the dragons you see- to do extraordinary things..." Atrious froze when he went on about Thu'um's because thats what his father had called them he however knew what they were for but not where they belonged. " Per say we know one then what would happen Priest of Talos?" The man's eyes shifted back to Atrious who had shrugged him off before then he smiled," Then you could be of a Dragon's decedent! You could be the newly awaited Dragon born! You could be a very very powerful elf...Have you ever heard of the calling of the Graybeards? They have placed a calling... You both might want to travel there to see if they will let you in if you are per say familiar with Dragon's speak...It might help you discover things about yourself you have never imagined possible." Atrious skoffed," I am not Dhovakhin....I know that for sure...But thats for the gossip- tis nice to have an intellectual one for a change." He glanced at Neve about a look of wanting to talk to her wondering if she knew about things like that.

Neve listened to him speak, her eyes narrowing ever so slightly as she listened. Her attention was fully on the man, to the point she almost lost sense of where she was. She didn't understand all of it, but from what she thought he was getting at, he thought they had an aura similar to the Dragonborn. She wanted to laugh at him, but mention of something called a Thu'um made her brows furrow. What kind of power did shouting have? She didn't understand it but let the man continue. She watched Atrious for a moment, especially when he eluded to knowing one of these shouts. She blinked and gave him a funny look of question since she had no idea what was going on. She turned her attention back to the priest however when he mentioned power. Neve liked the idea of being very very powerful.... She blinked out of her thoughts when she felt eyes on her and looked in Atrious's direction. He was telling her with his expression that he wanted to talk, but jsut how to get rid of this priest to be able to? She looked to the priest, a polite smile on her lips. "Thank you...we will certainly consider your proposal. But it is late and I'm afraid we have much more to travel. If you'll excuse us...." She took Atrious's arm and guided him away from the horses to where she had set down some of the supplies a good ways away. "Alright, am I the only one that thought the cheese was off this guys cracker?" She asked though her frown let on to the fact she had more to say. "But I'm curious about what he was talking about....the Jarl of Morthal said the same thing about our aura's. Didn't compare them to dragonborns but..." She looked at the horses a moment before her eyes flitted to Atrious. "I don't understand all of it...but something makes me feel like I should." She told him, letting on to the fact she had an inner feeling screaming at her to listen and understand this, that she had heard this perhaps before...

He frowned when the man stood there as Neve lead him off towards the back supplies. When she spoke he kept his frown as evidence that he was waiting on the man to leave. When Neve said some thing about wanting to understand it he nodded," When we get on the road- we shall talk then. Not a moment before." He said as he grabbed some supplies and loaded his horse then mounted up and left past the priest easily as he stood there and bowed to Neve for listening to him before he left back towards the town inn. When Neve finally caught up they road in silence a few moments until he took a deep breath- it was a bit gorss out- rain clouds were over head looking like it was going to rain on them he however patted his horse's neck and let out his breath- in the form of a loud booming voice. "Lok Vah Koor!"The heavy rain clouds over then and for a few good meters cleared instantly- showing a bright and blue grey sky since they were far north still. Taking a few smaller breaths he smiled back at Neve," Thats a Thu'um... my father taught me a few to help me out in life he had said. Telling me it was important to be able to speak as I was going to be just like him one day...Do you know any Neve? Please be honest with me... You seem worked up over this Priest business." He slowed his horse to match the pace of hers since the path was rather wide in this level section of the forest here.

Neve hadn't anticipated him telling her to wait for an answer. She supposed she would have to however since the priest was still there. She thanked the man with a nod before mounting and curiously continung after Atrious. It wasnt till a little ways away till something about him suddenly seemed to shift. He sucked in a breath and let loose a boom of words that rattled her. She couldnt understand these words but she knew she had heard them before. He had used this one before, but also...didnt it sound like something she knew? The air suddenly felt clearer and Neve looked up to find the nasty clouds clearing away. She looked to him, shock evident on her face. She hadn't seen something like that before. She heard his question and it felt odd to her. He wanted to know if she could shout. She cleared her throw befor sucking in a breath of her own, she focused on a tree not to far way. She didn't want to ward him off after all with this. She let out the shout, the pent up words spiraling and creating a powerful blast of cold air. It covered the tree in a thick layer of ice to the point not even the wind could make it blow. "I came across a wall with all these words when I was little. There were a few that stood out though. And next thing I knew, I could do that..." She looked to him eyes sharp. "So that's dragon language?" She said before looking back to him.?"To be honest I thought it was a spell..." So khe felt an odd sensation creep over her at the prospect they could speak dragon. "But can other people learn them?" She asked wanting to clarify.

His eyes went a bit wide momentarily in surprise as he looked over the tree as they passed it and smiled looking over back at her,"No- very few can learn it... Priests, the Dragon born, and of course very few others can... I had to learn it over years of practice from my father... Who learned it from the dragons themselves...You simply encountered a wall- You are special indeed Neve- perhaps we should investigate after all... Why didn't you tell me earlier you could do that?" He looked at her a bit at a loss that he himself hadn't told her he could do the same however there was a reason he hid his talent- it lead back to his father.

Neve looked uncomfortably at the tree as they passed it. A jagged piece of ice from the blast of cold air produced by her shout, glinted against the pale day's light. It was an almost ominous feeling that crept over her at the sight of it. It was the sense that what she had done was not natural. It was only proven to be very different when Atrious went into explaining who all could learn this sort of thing. In other words, few people could and only with practice. But she didn't remember ever practicing. Infact the moment the words had found their way into her mind that day, she almost felt that she had heard them before... She swallowed hard at his question about her not telling him and she gave Atrious a fleeting look. "Because it's hard enough being a half breed. But a half breed who can turn people into glaciers when she get's pissed....It's not a good thing Atrious." She said before shaking her head. "Atrious, you're not the least bit concerned that I'm speaking a language I've never even heard before? You said it yourself, that you had to practice and learn this kind of thing. It doesn't make any sense..." She said eyes flitting ahead of her.

He smirked as a thought went threw his head," Perhaps we can stick a thorn in the Nords' eyes still- you could be something special to them... I think we should change courses... and head to High Hrothgard. (( forgot how to spell it lol)) To see if they will admit you then we can figure things out form there I think." he said in a calm voice only he couldn't get the smirk off his lips at the idea that an Elf could actually be the dragon born.

Neve's brow rose at his smirk. She understood it after he mentioned sticking a stick in their eye. She felt a her stomach take a plunge. Seriously, she could be something that different, something important? Sure the idea of it was interesting...but it scared her slightly. For the longest time she was Neve, the half breed elf that lived with Khajiit, and now she was Neve, some kind of adventurer that apparently could speak dragon. Not to mention she was traveling with a guy that could become a future dragon priest should things go to hell in a hand basket. Since when did things change like this? She looked down at the horse when he mention traveling to some place, probably somewhere where these Grey guys lived. Whatever he said she would go with, since she was a bit lost at the moment at just what to do. She nodded, lifting her gaze back to his again. She looked oddly less confident than she usually did though it was only shown through the slight crease in her brow. "Do you think this might have something to do with my past?" She had thought of it only just a few minutes ago, but what if this had something to do with the past she couldn't remember. Maybe by understanding this she could understand a bit more about herself. "And Atrious can we not tell anyone about this? At least till we speak to these priests..." She asked hoping he consented. She knew he was enjoying this thorn in the Nords side feeling but she didn't want anything worse than the treatment she already received for being an elf.

He looked at her as she seemed a bit bothered by something. He nodded," OF course... If things get mentioned and gets complicated- I'll take the blunt edge of the sword on that front-So its fine... My past is easier to explain to others who hate me already- I'm used to the hate- I'm not so sure you are...But yes we need to be traveling South West... We will get to Iverestad soon if he travel a few days in that direction." HE said as he sighed knowing what it was like to have the hate of those around him the distrust and hatred as it came to him in the looks of others as well as their words and actions- he was very used to it- it didn't overly bother him anymore like it had when hew as a child. "But Neve... promise me- If you need to talk about this- you will speak to me about it?" He said before they headed out at a bit of a faster pace. They had long way to travel if they were heading up the mountains.
