Maraas heard him speak and turned her eyes lighting up with recognition at the large axe. She moved past him and lifted it easily, looking as if it weighed nothing, despite her stature. In all honesty in her thin stature, she shouldn't have been able to carry the thing, but years with it just made the weight familiar. She raised the axe and gave a small whisper of something in Qunlat before looking to him. "I owe you a great service for your help-- if you want it, free of coin for the respect you have shown me." She said with a proud look as she took the tie of the axe's hilt in her armor and placed it back in its harness on the back of her armor. She was serious on that. Her trust was rather easily won, due to the fact she spent most her life within a society of very honest people. The Qunari were not liars or thieves or even bad people really. Just very proud, stubborn and honorable as the Qun taught. "Come along, Fenris. Leaving before the Bas wake is good. Your blade will not break their armor..." She said in an attempt to use his phrase to show she was listening and learning as she went. She walked out of the storage to find the hall still clear and their guard friend still out like a light. She shut the door and tossed the keys in the guards lap before leaving out the front door. She didn't bother shutting it and simply waited for Fenris, wanting to know where they went next. "Which way?" She asked, motioning to the expanse in front of them. She knew he wouldn't turn down her offer after all he was the one that wanted her to come along.

He nodded happily accepting her offer. When they walked out side and she asked which way he closed his eyes and pointed in a direction at random. It just so happened to be to the south west. He smiled at her and thought for a second before wording the Qun phrase he knew but enver used." Asit tal-eb, let us go." He said since it was apparently meant to be since that endevor was over quickly and with no problem now if they continuted like this- thigns would stay easy and he woudnl't be stuck back in Tevinter like a slave in his own home. Lonely with no one to trust only lies and fake smiles..

Maraas smiled at his words and gave a sort of laugh at them. "Yes, it is to be, Basalit-an..." She chuckled before walking with him away from the area. She could hear a shout or two the further they got from the town, but she kept her mouth shut and ignored it, mostly because if the Bas came after her again, she wouldn't be so nice, not after they showed her no respect. Maraas had a certain skip in her step as she walked, seemingly at place beside the complete stranger. She was content in open spaces after all and since they were almost completely outside the city's limits she was ready for another trip. "So Fenris, tell me how you speak Qunlat?" She asked wondering just how he knew it. "You're home is close to mine, maybe?" She gave her lip a tap before she got a sort of 'ah ha' face. "Are you of the Qun perhaps?" She asked, since a follower of the Qun could be human, elf or Qunari. To be honest just following the Qun made someone Qunari, meaning "of the Qun", but they would never be completely enlightened as her people were. They understood the importance of Body, Mind and Soul, lived it and breathed it. She found however that just by following its teachings...one became almost as close to the person next to them, despite ethnicity or race....

He noticed she was eager and happy it almsot seemed to elave the place whichw as good in his opinion. At her question he smiled and waited for her to finish talking knowing she was full of quesitons and words since he had met her she was talking. "I studied it for a long while actually- while I was ignoring my duties in my home land...I studied the Qunari's culture." He gave a small laugh however at the question of him being of hte Qun,"No I am not of the Qun but I can understand most of it. Its a good way to live- however I can't exactly escape my past that way...Things are preventing me-anyhow- no Oure homes are close in a way but it is a waters' travel apart. Do you know your geography Maraas?" He asked her wondering if he shoudl actually say where he is from if she woudl even understand. Most would have assumed he was from Tevinter from him earlier slip up but she seemed a bit dense to maps it seemed.

Maraas looked amazed that an outsider actually wanted to learn about her people. Most thought them brutes unworthy of praise or thought. It was a nice surprise to find someone that thought them somewhat interesting or at lead enough to to study. She however frowned when he said he wasn't near her but didnt say exactly where from. She was trying to picture a map in her head but the names were hazy since she couldn't read them. That and she was never taught really about anything outside her homeland because she was to stay there as a priest... "I've seen a map before but the names I forget..." She looked down, not wanting to outright say she couldn't read them and had to memorize the words to remember them. She knew of places however and of a few things about way places, at least the major gists of them. "But it is surprising you know so much. Your home must have a wealth of knowledge. Can you tell me where it is?" She asked, wanting to know now where a place would have so much information on the Qunari.

HIs smile fell a bit as he struggled with what to say."I would rather not say. Our nations havne't been on hte best sides of each other in the past..." He said as he looked at the ground. He wasn't sure how she was going to take that but he hoped she respected it. He was a fugative after all even if no one was looking yet- that doens't mean they won't start. If she knew and some one got hte infortamion from her- he was as good as a elf in the alienages...dead.

Maraas blinked at his description of his home town. It was vague and hardly told her where he was from but it was a start she supposed from stranger to stranger. "Yes, I will respect that. Do not think me one of those Qunari that holds the past as a reason for judging someone's Asala. You seem an honest man and have show you are intelligent." She said with a shrug. "A little skinny but most elves are. But you have nice clothes, a clean weapon and proud voice...What do you seek in Ferelden?" She asked, wanting to know what he intended to do here, in a country that was not entirely free. Elves were treated as garbage and Qunari were viewed as savages because of the Chantry. Mages weren't even respected here, unlike with the Qunari, or at least Maraas believed they were respected as Saarebas. Though they were chained, donned masks, and had their lips stitched together, they were honored as heros and selfless beings for keeping the horrors of magic within them and continuing to survive. Here they were allowed such freedoms....She didn't necessarily view them as dangerous but they were certainly not completely safe. She never knew much about magic after all since the Qun did not mention much of it.

He laughed at her prod abut him being skinny as an elf and smiled," Well, I happen to eat a lot it just never sticks to my bones." He said with a tone of humor wondering why she talked a lot- most books said they talked little but she seemed to be talkative- not that he minded in teh slightest. "I don't rightly know yet. I thin k I'm going to keep my head down for a bit still- maybe travel- look around...Then I can decide weather my past comes for me or not and then the future will be clear." He sighed wondering if she even understood how his weapon worked. He was a mage and she was a warrior- he wondered if that bothered her as a Qunari--they had mages yes but tehyw ere describled as beasts that were chained.

Maraas gave him a once over when he said he ate a lot. Perhaps to him he ate quite a bit, but he had never seen a Qunari eat before. She was smaller and therefore didn't eat nearly as much but some of the others she grew up with could eat a whole boar themselves... At his mention however of not knowing where he was going and something about his past affecting his future, she gave a small purse of her lips in thought. "Travel is fun. I have not seen all of Ferelden but I'm sufe we can see more together, Fenris." She said quickly before motion to the wide expanse around her. "You are going to enjoy the freedom travel brings. I promise." ~~~ Caden woke in a room and saw instantly that it was a cell room used for violent mages. Bars were on the windows and on the door. He rubbed his face and found his bandages had been changed and he was feeling less achey....had he been healed perhaps by one of the priestess's? He heard the door open and he saw his commander coming in, holding a rolled up paper with a mage next to him that looked foreign. "This is your man? Please he looks damaged..." The mage next to the commander said and Caden gave the man a glare. So this foreigner was a pompous mage...no doubt by his lack of markings form the Circle or symbols of any sort, he must have been pretty important. "He is a fine Templar and a powerful one at that. You'd do well not to insult our order Tevinter mage...We are offering you our help after all..." Caden blinked when he said Tevinter and instantly his eyes narrowed at the mage. The Tevinter mages weren't known for being exactly clean mages but were powerful in their own rights. They disowned the Chantry and made themselves out to be gods practically in their home lands with their slaves and all. Sick really... The mage looked awkwardly at the commander, knowing he wasn't in his element before he looked to the injured frowning man infront of him. "It was out of my hands who I could turn to...you people in Fereldan seem to honor your Chantry too much." He said before he sighed. "But we need help...our future Magister has gone missing and it doesn't look favorable he is alive...however no note...no body....we assumed it might have been an assassin but the Crows do not claim his death..." He looked then to the paper in the commanders hand. "And then we receive word from a sailor that he thought he saw someone that looked like our Magister boarding his ship...headed to many routes...one being the northern ports of ferelden." Caden gave his commander a long look before looking to the mage. "He has run off then?" He asked and the mage sneered. "From what? He left a position of the utmost power to live in the dirt as an apostate here? I swear you insult the man--" "He is just stating his opinion, sir. Which he needs to learn to control..." The commander gave Caden a measured look which he returned with a frown. "Count me out. I'm not hunting your mage for you..." He said and the Tevinter looked annoyed. The commander sent him out and went to Caden, giving him a harsh look. "you have no choice in the matter boy. The Chantry believes that stint in the Circle might have broken you...You know what they do to those Templar's who cannot preform their duties..." Caden looked to the commander with a cold look, one that said he almost didn't care about the consequences. He knew them well...death so they could not reveal any of the Templar secrets. However his look was stopped by the commanders glare. "Stop sulking over her and come to your senses boy...you have a gift as a Templar and you are wasting it by pissing it away here..." He snarled before slamming the information down and left to the door. "When you've chosen your path tell your cell guard. Be warned the execution is a swift on with little time for reconsideration."
((Thought perhaps you might want to add a chara to help Caden 'find' Fenris. Doesn't have to be now or even ever I just thought It might be interesting.))

Fenris smiled at her easily," I will enjoy them thank you." He said as htey walked quite a bit more but eventually stopped at an inn for the morning to eat- he paid fr it all easily as he had brought a large sum of money with him.Having even accumilated some from teh trip he came on first he was well able to support that random trip. He ordered a large bit of food- he was starving however he didn't know how the Qunari ate- he got about a tables worht of food, it all looked good adn he didn't care about teh taste- hew as eating too fast to really pay attention. The food was good feul for him magical appitite since he wasn't exactly taking dose's of lyruim lately his hunger had gone up to help cover that craving. --------------- The Tevinter mage stood in the hall and she had to catch up- as he had been arranging quarter for his companion there. She was to help find the Magester as she was to help ensure his saftey- however she was sure he didn't want her help any at all. He was strong by himself but she thought he was a decent mage for Tevinter. His sister had sent her along to find him- and bring him home since she was the body guard for the Merseth hosuehold. It was her responsibility to retreive him they assumed. She wasn't the happiest about the trip down there but she assumed that it was worth it when she got to beat the smug look off his face. She owed him that much- if he did simply run off- if he had been kidnapped then they person was to be killed and the head brought back. When the mage saw her he smiledseeing how she was dressed in her battle armor already as well a light armor as hse wans't exactly a heavey templar- infact she wasn't a templar at all. She focused more on stelth as she coudl track any one for the family as they liked sneaky people better. "Here- sorry, was working on securing things and making sure all was well- then some Templars held me up talking-I came as soon as possible. What is our status?" She asked boldly with ehr authority over the mage who was also sent by the family but hew as much lower then her and she wans't even a mage which was pathetic to him. She pushed her dark hair from her shoulder to her back because it bugged her but when she put it up she got it caugh in her daggers hilts as they were decorative as well as deadly. Her pale blue eyes bored into the mage as he showed signs of discomfort as he shifted feet and looked away- she didn't rightfully care what he thought he could do- she coudl kill him before he could get a spell out- and he obviously knew it well. She wasn't sure what the commander there thoguht as he had jsut come out of the room after yelling at some one- which she was curious about perhaps if it had to do with thier assignment. Maraas followed him to the inn, since she saw no reason not to. She was told to go with him, so she would because he helped her. It was an honor bound duty she had to serve. She looked however at all the food and her face lit up with shock at just how much there was. And sure as the sky was blue, he ate a pretty damn good bit of it. Maraas however just looked at the food, not eating since she was too busy curiously watching just how much the man could stomach. And honestly it was quite a show. He seemed to eat fast, something that made her actually give a rather girlish giggle. She shook her head, trying to calm the giggle that had morphed into a laugh. "You were not joking." She said before picking up a few green things to eat. Despite her kinds attraction to meat, Maraas never really took to it since it made her full too quickly. She preferred vegetables while not being considered a full vegetarian. She knew they were being stared at by a few people, as if they were trying to understand the duo. Her the short Qunari "beast" eating like a bird while the tall skinny elf eating like a starving man. ~~~ The mage looked to Luka and knew fully well who he was. It was hard to forget a face that was involved so thoroughly with a Magester's family. When asked how things were going he sniffed in irritation. "As its always gone in Ferelden. Apparently the governing body here believes we are not trust worthy alone. They want to send a Templar of their people with us to be sure things are handled properly..." He said before looking to the commander who exited looking angry but not out of control. He paused when he saw the woman there and gave her a cautious glance before he seemed to ease. "You must be the other one they sent. Well I'd like to say your mission would be under way but it seems we're having some difficulties on our end--" "Then chose another. I'm sure you have others rather than that boy--" The commander shot the mage a look of warning before looking to Luka. "Welcome to the house of Ferelden's Circle. I only ask you give us an hour or so. Our order has a few special cases that would fit your necessity in quickly finding your Magester. The problem is the convincing." He said since the Tevinter Imperium wasn't something that sat well with the Chantry because of past conflict.

She looked tot eh comander and she flashed him a pretty smile," its a pleasure to meet you Commander," I am Luka of house Merseth of the Tevinter Imperium. If you like I can employ merceneries to search for us instead? We can pay the templar if thats what he desires? As long as you pick him so we can safely travel about- I'm not complaining...ASk him what he wasnts in order to come along. Simple is it not?" She said more in a way of scolding the mage as he was rude ot the man who they were guests of. "Should I or would you like to speak to your own man commander? I can be rather pursuasive from time to time..." She said after returned ing atteneitont ot eh commander as hse voice was smooth and soft almsot like an actual girls' however she was tough and blunt which made it hard for her every day to be seen as 'soft'. --------------------------------------- He loke dup a ther when she started laughing, and raised a brow," Whats so funny? I told you I ate a lot- did you think I was joking?" He sadi in an almsot defensive way that hew as defending his eating habits. He glanced about and saw they were getting some weird looks but he didn't care right now- he was hungry. He went back to eating letting hte Qunari neat what ever she liked- most of it was greens adn the like, he was going for heavier foods such as breads and meats and some greens but mroe meats- he loved the salty flavor.

Maraas kept her mouth shut on his eating habits and let him finish since it wasn't her place to comment. She just was thinking this elf was an odd match for her. He wasn't rude and he actually had a good head on his shoulders. But then why would he want to be in Ferelden of all places? It was obvious he had money and a status somewhere. She could practically take one look at his hands and tell he'd never done actual hard labor or real battle. She was willing to bet that weapon was not really even for hand to hand. She didn't know what really to think of him, but currently she owed him a debt of helping her. ~~~ The commander understood the woman and knew what she was saying made sense. Perfect sense infact which was surprising. But he knew that wasn't the issue at the moment. He didn't know what Caden wanted, if it was anything. The man was caught up in his own damn head at the moment over his sister's death which was only really a day or so ago. Traumatic as it was, he was a Templar and had a duty to uphold. They couldn't afford this time for tears and needed it to ensure this Magester didn't die on their soil. "I've spoken with him and given him the true offer as it stands.... It's not your money or even your status, don't misunderstand. He holds nothing against you. If anyone I'm sure its against me. So I'm assuming there isn't much you can convince him of." He said, just being honest.

He glanced at her once hte table was cleared every peice of food devoured and the inn keeper amazed to be honest. Fenris smiled an spatted his thin middle,"That hit the spot, they never make food that salty back home- its delicious."He said witha satisfied smile. "Maraas- why are you so quiet suddenly? You were talking jsut fine earlier- have I done something to offend?" He stated wondering why she was so quiet- she seemed the talkative type but he was wondering if he had offened her earlier- he hoped not. ~~~ Luka looked over the Commander as he spoke andnodded understanding," I can understand perfectly fine commander, however this is a rather important mission- I want to get it underway as soon as possible. If your templar will be some time still today- I will be in the markets or with some of your mages getting supplies. If that is sufficent I'm sure if you ahve questions the mage will answer them for you." She said curtly before leaving hte hall way , the mage probably was pissed that she left this mess to him again and went to go play in the amrkets with supplies. She needed them to be sure- she always needed them, she liked ot keep up on her bombs she loved to throw at others when they don't suspect thigns as well as more arrows- enchanted ones- she used those when she coudn't get in close. She had heard that Fereldan had a large abundance of them so she was curious about if it were true or not.

Maraas was indeed zoned out, thinking about just what could be going on here. She was a mercenary sure and it wasn't her job to worry about who the person that hired her was. She however was moral in a sense and a bit too curious for her own good. She paused when he asked if he had offended her and she shook her head quickly. "No, no offense. Just thinking." She said then raised a brow. "Should I talk as I think? I suppose I normally talk a lot. Tamassrans say I have an always open mouth." She said with a chuckle before looking at the cleared plates. "I am glad you enjoyed the food, Fenris. A place I went to in Denerim had better food. A fun place if you like food." She said almost excitedly as if it were something so fascinating. She however gave a bit of a stretch, glad that there was room enough for it here. ~~~ Caden looked over the information though he told himself he wouldn't. Soon however he was wrapped up in it, trying to solve what the hell happened to this elf. The struggle was big in evidence but almost too grand...why would someone that wanted to take a body leave a scene like that? And not to mention...why were his personal belongings gone as well. Odd things that perhaps showed a hasty retreat or get away.... He tossed the papers to the end of the bed and stared at them a moment before rubbing his eyes. He was doing it again, over thinking things....Besides why would he go hunt some mage when he still had his sister to bury....He shook his head, unable to swallow the guilt just yet. But this, this could be a change perhaps...a way for him to leave the order and go back to what he was before all this...
He was dressed in the basics of his armor since he still had a few dings and scratches that were healing, as he went to the market where he was told to speak with some woman the Tevinters hired. She was easy to spot, seeing as most people were eyeing the stranger. "You must be the friend of the family the commander spoke of. He said very little...but I'm to understand you mean to find this mage?" He asked though he kept his distance a foot from her since by the looks of her armor and physique, she was a stealth player...
