Antony nodded at her words about him needing to hear what this queen said but he smiled softly when Rose said she felt nervous with out him as well. He nodded in response, not wanting to ruin the moment with his stumbled words. After a second or so to think properly he nodded again. "Like I said, you know about my sister already amen i don't mind you knowing about my sister, or myself. Once we got here you already had a lesson on that mess itself so there isn't much else you don't already know...so If you want to accompany me to see this queen, I wouldn't mind your company." He said softly since he was nervous leaving her there alone- especially since Esmond was out and about. He didn't trust him much and didn't want Rose alone with him around for sure.

Antony's soft smile brought one to her as well, even if a bit of pink did rise to her cheeks. She liked the way his smile made her feel warmer, almost lighter even in all the darkness. He stated that she already knew alot about him, as he did her. It was only natural that she should be allowed to be with him. Why had Annalise called upon him only? Maybe this was something severely sensitive? She wouldn't gues now, since him admitting that he wanted her there with him made her heart beat faster and butterflies fill her stomach. "I will go with you then so we both don't feel anxious because of--you know the castle and the monsters and because we're a team." She cleared her throat at her bout of rambling before she stood and gave him a smile. "Come on, we shouldn't let the news linger I suppose." She said as she rose, taking his hand and pulling him to his feet. However, she didn't let his hand go as they went to the door, mostly because she felt like if she let it go, she might just feel alone again..."I can't have you getting lost." She said in a teasing tone, hiding her blush as she pulled him along with her. The beast with the lantern found them wandering and instantly shooed them to the throne room. There they found Annalise waiting without Esmond. She stood near her throne, with a hand on the gold trim. "Ah, Sir Antony...I see you wanted your partner here for the news. I apologize if I offended. I just worried that it might be sensitive and rather hard to hear...May I speak? I have some things to show you as well that Esmond is retrieving from our library." She said, her voice sounding sincere but they couldn't see her face behind the mask to really tell.

When she was akwardly making up excuses to come along he grinned and let her take his hand. The joke about getting lost made him nod since she often joked about that. They wandered the hallways a bit, hands still held tightly. They ran into a hooded creature that ushered them into the thrown room, to see the queen. She was there easily enough but she seemed a bit off to see him with Rose. When the woman spoke about not meaning to offend him he shook his head, but kept his hand in Rosalinds'. "You haven't offended me Queen Annalise. I simply felt comfortable with Rosalind here, no offense intended on my behalf either. I can share things with her, I assure you, I have seen or done worse already then share my personal life with her." He stated since he felt this way often enough but simply didn't voice it. He felt a little odd since it was about his sister, and not this cure another reason he felt this was a trap or a plot of some kind. It was known that he cared for his sister but he wasn't there for a cure anymore, just information about this hellish place...the cure was for Rose.

Rosalind felt oddly attached as Antony continued to have her hand. She didn't remove her hand from his as it seemed to be something that the Queen either didn't acknowledge or wouldn't. She gave him a cordial bow of her head, her body language seeming just as open as before. "I see. That is quite alright. Rosalind, forgive the darkness of this conversation. Sir, I have heard tell that you are looking for information. I'm afraid word travels very fast here from the Cosmos and unto the ears of her children." She said, being cryptic on where her information came from, but that was the nature of Yharnam honestly. Everyone had birds and listening ears everywhere, as most action was done in the dead of night when the darkness was most active. She paced from her throne, her hands folded in front of her modestly. "I know you two found the library of the scholars...I was fond of Bergynworth when it was in its prime. The scholars there treated my family with respect and offered their condolences when belief and lines divided us all." She paused before them, her body angled towards Antony to show she was speaking to him. "As you came to find, the cult of Micolash wanted to harness the power that gave man the Old Blood...I'm sure you have heard of the Great Ones. Those who possess the Elder Knowledge of the world and the machinations of the universe. The gods of our world. The blood of an Elder One, Ebritas Daughter of the Cosmos, gave your father and his church the Old Blood, the power to heal the sick and mend the wounded. But was that all their blood cure produced?...My sister, Maria, spoke of wild things in my last meeting with her, before she was driven mad by the very secret she kept." She looked away from them as Esmond approached, holding a lovely crown on a tray. She took the crown from him and held it a moment. "Tell me what you know of your father's church, Sir Antony. I must know your understanding before we proceed. It is alright if you know little, I simply wish to be sure I am not regurgitating facts you may already have." She said before giving the crown a loving caress. "You see, this is the Crown of Illusion, one of many relics of my family's past. It can be used to reveal many things within the hearts of man and beast...including some of the information you may seek that I have." She watched him carefully, her eyes seeming to pierce through the armor to focus on him.

Antony squeezed Rose's hand a bit as he felt uncomfortable with being asked questions about his fathers church. "I know the rankings of the church, their jobs, armor assigned- well colors...I know their basic beliefs and how they came to the blood. That is about all i know, I never cared for my father and his insane ideas. All I know is that he started a lot of trouble with his actions where he shouldn't have been." He stated at the end making it so it was obvious he didn't want to be treated rudely just. S quad he looked like his father. He kept a hold on Rose knowing it was comforting to him as much as it was to her, lately that had kept him grounded. "And what have you heard of this information I seek? I haven't spoken on it's subject matter to any but Gerhman...and I can only see you wouldn't hold tea with the grouchy old church dog." He stated since very few dealt with the old hunter.

Rosalind felt the squeeze to her hand, but let it be in favor of hearing what the woman had to say. She was also unsettled by the news that her supposed mother was a heretic and that her supposed aunt knew something that Antony wanted...When he questioned her on where her information came from, Annalise gave a small hum that reverberated in her helmet. Seems she wasn't keen on answering. "No, I would not speak with the old hunter, though he had a lot to say when he stole my sister from me with his fanatical ideas...You underestimate that old church dog, was it? He knows more than he has ever let on. He is more. Just ask that ghastly trophy he keeps." She said, her tone morphing to disgust at the doll, before she gave a bow of her head. "My information comes from a higher state of being Sir. I may be trapped in a castle but my reach extends far...though most is speculation as to what you seek. You are not the first hunter that has come seeking answers. Just the first to make it this far before being slaughtered by those still loyal to me. And the first I've been willing to speak with over matters beyond mere basic understanding. You see I understand what it is like to lose someone you love dearly to the madness your father created. Forgive my saying it, but we are kindered sirits in a way. If I can help you reclaim some knowledge on your sister's affliction and the reasons behind it, I will try. I owe my niece that and the man who protected her." She said before raising the crown and holding it firmly. In a matter of mere blinks, the room transformed like a misty veil rose on the room, consuming everything. As she spoke, a shape took place, a familiar one to Antony but not Rose, as she felt him go rigid. A man in priestly garbs stood, a blood vial in one hand and a strange orb that seemed full of stars in the other. "Laurence walked a dangerous line. His blood cure from Ebritas and the knowledge of the Cosmos in the other. One would have assumed wealth and influence was his gain, this chance to worship the god gift and use it to his advantage...to save people of Yharnam." Rosalind watched in horror as Laurence released the blood and it splattered to the floor and instead chose to gaze at this starry orb. More shapes took form out of the fog and became unfamiliar people in many garbs, till three took shape near Laurence amongst the group. A woman, Gerhman, and Amelia. "The founder and his advisors sought power, knowledge beyond their comprehension...Maria never told me how they found it, but I know the chaos that followed." The scene morphed to people turning to beasts and hunters of all bands arising from the shadows, men in strange armor slaughtering nobles with bladed wheels, and then children locked away in a tower that looked sickly. However, of one of images, one stopped on Laurence holding a vial of white liquid, one that flowed with a light much like the moon. "Pale Blood" Rosalind said, making Annalise hiss some in dissention. "No, not at all. It's the cursed blood. The one you fed your dear sister, Sir Antony. The one your father committed his life to retrieving and created life to inherit." In the fog, Amelia suddenly appeared beside him, looking lovingly at the vial as she held a young girls hand, her stomach swollen with child. Rosalind paused at the image, her eyes going from the family to Annalise. "To inherit his empire, his church, the throne of Yharnam?" She asked, but Annalise shook her head. "Something more terrible I'm afraid." The image faded to Antony and his sister, his sister's features slowly slipping into a mad state. "To inherit the Elder Knowledge he gained from his secret sin. To create a being, a Child Of Blood, to ascend to godhood." Suddenly a spectral, almost alien shape took form behind Antony and Genevieve, it's features both ghastly and ellogant. "The Great Ones cannot have their own children, so a Child of Blood is given as a surrogate. That child would have power beyond imagine...would be the very thing that could save this dying world or destroy it. That power sings sweetly to those that wish for the absolute...those like your father. And your mother Rosalind." The image faded then to a woman in hunters garb, one that was more feminine and stylized with a pair of rapier instead of ghoulish weapons. Her pale hair hung in a black bow, her pale eyes fixed on something ahead of her. Rosalind stared in awe of the woman, mostly because in her poised features and elegance, Rosalind saw herself. It was like staring into a mirror. And for that moment Rosalind believed her story. She followed the figures eyes and saw that she stared longingly at the family image of Laurence. The image confused Rosalind till the queen spoke. "Your mother coveted that which she could not have and wished to supply Laurence with what the Great Ones would take as payment for their knowledge..." Maria's figure morphed to a woman in a dress standing beside a red haired man that looked smitten with her, while her expression was uncaring. Rosalind stared at the man and realized what this must have been, her mother and father...She had a family...She stood there stunned, especially when horror overtook her as she realized what this was getting at. Antony and his sister, the paleblood... It was to sacrifice one or both to the Great Ones to create this Child of Blood. Laurence was going to sarcrafice his children and Maria, her mother, was willing to help him do it. "The Pale Blood cure is a farce created by the Great Ones and Laurence to create a new god. A trap for those fools willing to feed it to their young. Not all can become the Child of Blood, even with the proper lineage as your father failed to realize up until his empire fell to the beast curse. That is why your sister rests in a prison of her own mind, why the 'cure' changed her, Sir Antony...you were simply the pawn and she the test subject." The words held in the air a long moment, Rosalind standing still and hardly breathing under the weight of the information. Antony hadn't spoken and she wasn't sure he would. This news, if true, wouldn't sit well with anyone...

Antony was being cautious but he was ultimately unprepared here, another reason he requested rose to be there with him to help keep him grounded. As the queen began speaking of Gerhman and how he knew more than he ever let on he nodded since he knew that already, he was always holding things back but wouldn't ever tell them to him. He rose a brow at the queen when she said they were kindered spirits because her own sister went mad. He didn't respond to that since he didn't feel alike with This woman in a metal mask, he was from the real world- yet again to This being- this was her real world. He watched her raise the crown and the room was enveloped with smoke, though it was more mist since it didn't effect their breathing. Antony went ridged when the first shape came to be, his father was represented with the blood in one hand and a ball of sorts in the other. However when his father dropped the blood he frowned, brown furrowed as he worked on understanding things, as this queen spoke further. Next came some company in the smoke. His mother Amelia, Gerhman, and another woman who looked close to Rose's own look all stood by his father gazing at the ball in his hand. The queen went on to explain the trauma his father caused and the upsetting of the world he did by choosing this beast cure, the pale blood. He heard Rose say it was the cure but the queen snapped at them that it was cursed blood. He could understand that since he knew what it had done for his sister... He was going to speak however his breath got caught in his throats when there was an image of his family, Lawrence, his father standing next to his mother Amelia who was pregnant with him- his sister staying ever close to their mother as she always had been, all three sets of eyes on the glowing pale blood, like it were reveared. When it moved then to show him and his sister, showing his sisters' pretty face as it contorted in one of her manic fits, he cringed away from it, taking a step back closer to Rose. He wasn't comfortable here anymore- this was making the pain well back up in his chest. He missed his family, his sister, his stupid parents- but knew they were all as good as dead. He glanced up when he got himself under better control, even if he did have tears rolling down his cheeks. He saw the woman who looked like Rose, but had startling silver hair like the queen here, marking her story as true to him at least. He glanced to see that this new shadow was starring lovingly at his father- making his brows pinch a little. 'The hell was this about?' He thought, but the queen went on to explain that her own sister was obsessed in a way with his father, wanting to help him in any way. He was already married and aiming to sacrifice his own two children to these creatures.... and apparently Rose was also a tribute. A Token of how far this woman would go for his father- another fanatic of the church no doubt. For some reason that made him angry, his lips pursed tightly, his grip a little tighter on Rose, she was not tribute, not a sacrifice- himself he could see as one, but not her... The woman before them began to tell him why it was his sister fell into madness, because of him of course- playing into his own fathers hands. All for this supposed legacy that was starting to make sense. He was quiet like Rose was as the smoke began to clear. He felt sick to his stomach, he had known this wouldn't work it had been a frantic attempt to save his last family member. This trip however was for the reason why- and this woman had just given him the very reason... it was his fathers fault that both he and his sister were dragged here- and she was crazy. He felt a few more years fall down his cheeks in the slightly chilled room but he nodded after a moment. "Thank you Queen Annelise. This makes a lot more sense then the gibberish my father told me growing up. It actually explains quite a bit of things." He stated however bowed at the waist to the queen. "I apologize for my fathers wrong doing to your world, he had no right. I know it won't change his indescretions but it perhaps is a step in the right direction." He stated since he felt terrible that his family had almost singlehandedly ruined this world so it was full of nightmarish beasts and the mad, very few could even survive now a days.

Annalise bowed her head when he thanked her, her attention still on the two. Her truth was now theirs and it felt good to share it with them. It made everything so much easier for her to bond with her niece and her dear hunter. She watched the way the girl tried to tend to him, her expression shifting to sadness and almost pain for him as she saw him cry. "Antony, you don't have to apologize for this." She told him, but Annalise spoke up. "You have already shown to be twice the man that your father was...I only wish he would have had your compassion." She said before she bowed some. "But this is not the end of our discussion...The matter still stands that this world is falling apart under the weight of Laurence and the church's actions. The beast blood was a cure before Laurence's crusade sent them beyond. Maria spoke of a secret, a place that they sent the blood drunk hunters to spend their days as beasts. She also spoke of a secret, that which caused the blood to turn and the cure to spoil. While Mergo rests, and the nightmare has been slain, the threat still remains against you. The secret of the nightmare, that is the step in the right direction to changing what Laurence caused. It may be the only hope you have of being rid of this place." Rosalind saw Esmond's face morph some in surprise, his body tensing however as if he struggled not to speak. It made Rosalind want to ask, but instead she saw this was a lot on Antony and she felt he may need time to digest. "I understand. This nightmare secret may be key to helping Yharnam...but I think we have a lot to consider at the moment--" "The plague will not stop, it rests even in the minds of you both, like a ticking death sentence. It took your parents and it will take you if nothing is done to stop it." She walked forward, taking Rosalind's head in her hands. "I will not lose the last of my bloodline, the last of my family." She pulled Rosalind into a hug that actually pulled her hand from Antony. Rosalind felt odd in the hold and pulled away a moment later. "I agree...but I think we need a moment. I need a moment." She said as she went back to Antony and hugged him, feeling her own emotions getting the better of her. Annalise let her go back to the man, but she was going to have to speak to her about that bloodline soon...She just wasn't sure if her hunter would allow it...

He heard Rose tell the queen they needed time but it seemed this woman was insistent, overly so. Throwing bait out, Antony knew bait when he heard it. He gave Annie to Rose but felt at a slight loss when the queen came and pulled Rose from him. He put on a hard expression to keep himself in check but was glad when Rose was back in his grips. He turned and headed out of the room with Rosalind feeling they both needed some space from the woman. She had thrown a lot of fire at them in there, he almost felt tired as he though of things, even if they made him made to think. They walked back to the rooms, finding them easily enough, candles leading them back, as to not get lost. He went inside the sitting room and sat, looking to be in thought. " well, that was interesting..." he stated before glancing up at Rose to maybe get a grasp of what she thought.

Rosalind willingly followed Antony from the room, but did spare a look back at Annalise. She stood tall near her throne as Esmond leaned in to whisper something to her with a concerned look on his face. She simply patted his cheek before turning back to her throne. When they arrived in their room, Antony separated from her, although she wanted to stay close. She was keeping herself together for the sake of her own sanity, although she wanted to curl up in a corner and cry. The cure--this pale blood they fought for was a hoax...a lie...and the only way to find a real cure was to fix whatever secret that Laurence made? This just sounded like another goose chase that would end in more misery...Felix didn't have the luxury of time anymore...And she--she didn't think she could keep being torn apart by this place, knowing the plague and madness would one day take her. Like it no doubt did her mother. Her mother...the woman who had her to sacrifice her should Laurence ask of it--the woman who instead threw her away to a father who thought it better to abandon her to that hell she lived in. Without Felix at that orphanage, she would have been sold off to a whore house or a mill somewhere to make clothing. She would have died of disease or a factory accident. Had she stayed in Yharnam, she would be mad like Antony's sister or dead. Maybe somewhere in her heart, she had thought that she had a loving family that died or a mother who couldn't keep her. It must have been there somewhere because it hurt like hell now. To make matters worse, Antony just heard he killed his sister with that cure...That his father destroyed this world with his actions and that he had taken Antony's last family member with him...She knew that he was hurt, upset and that now he was thinking. She wanted to help so badly, but she had no idea what to say... When he spoke and called this interesting, she scoffed as she paced some before him. "Interesting...I suppose that's a word for all this. Interesting...or horrid...vile...disturbing...painful...heart breaking...and we still aren't done with this place or any closer to this cure--which is some disgusting trick to create a god creature. Well, that is unless we march off on another bloody venture to fix what our parents created." She found her tone was rising with anger, her voice getting louder and angrier as she paced. She gave a shaky sigh, wrapping her arms around herself as she tried to make sense of it all. "I-I just don't understand why--why would your father want something like this? Why would my own mother want to--? I just don't understand how people can be so awful anymore. This place is horrible." She felt her eyes stinging, but refused to cry, not like this and not over people that didn't deserve her tears. This place wanted to break her, but she wouldn't let it...

Antony watched her scoff and pace as she vented a bit. She looked a little bit bent with the stress of this. Ew situation but when she wrapped her arms about herself and looked like she might cry, his brows furrowed. He reached out and pulled her to have a seat next to him, hand in his still as he relaxed with her this close in This god forsaken place. He rested his head on hers knowing she needed a few moments to get herself under wraps perhaps. "My father was very insistanct once that we never go here, for any reason. My mother the same, my poor sister wanted to come to find a cure for herself but fell ill before hand. She begged me not to come. I some how can't shake the feeling something here isn't right." He said smoothly letting her know it maybe truth to some but not all of this. " if my father- the Asshole he is here- did want us children to venture here wouldn't he talk it up like an nice place? Well perhaps not nice but progressive and talk of power?" He asked more out loud to perhaps think his thoughts to Rose and himself. He rose the other arm he had slipped around her and brushed some hair down, more letting it to calm himself. Through all this arose still was calming to him, even if she had come cobwebbing in her hair. He was brushing it out easily and relaxing. " I know I already damned my sister, now I wanted to find out why. It- the blood cure is cursed. So if we can fix it will it reverse and cure her? Or will she still be a raving lunatic trying to bite my face off? Also what if we help fix this world? Won't that just invite more power hungry idiots trying to help these creatures reproduce? Dragging us back in an endless cycle?" He mused out loud but gave an almost dark chuckle. " forgive me, I'm thinking out loud...I feel that this is only half truths perhaps..." he stated since he wasn't convinced with the Queens story as it was- it wasn't a full look at this.

Rosalind was shocked when he pulled her close and actually rested a head on her's. It made her eyes water at how warm and comforting he felt, to the point a few silent tears fell. How could he be so kind to her, even when this place...this curse was partially her fault. She was supposed to take his place and his sister's place and instead she was sent to the waking world. If she would have just been the sacrifice they needed then none of this would have happened...then Antony and his sister would be happy and maybe his parents would still be alive...Her parents would be happy. She hated her darker thoughts, but they clouded even her judgement as he spoke on the Queen's story. He found them to be half truths, something that made her blink and frown a bit. She waited for him to finish before she placed a hand on his chest, using it to put a bit of space so she could look up at him. "But why would she lie? She's locked in a tower with a lunatic serving her with a failing castle. What gain would it give her to lie about your father and my mother? And let's just say that maybe the bit about your father's intentions was wrong...that doesn't negate the fact that I was supposed to die or become one of those--things. It all seems awful and wrong, yes, but what other truth do we have--what other truth do I have for myself?" She asked before her eyes averted at his talk of the cure and fixing things. It seemed like he had a negative tint on it all. How could she blame him? But what other option was there? To wander this nightmare till they turned to beasts? No, she couldn't do that and neither could he... "As far as fixing this cure, I want to do it. I don't know if it will cure your sister's madness or Felix's sickness but I want to do it. The power hungry can have this world if they so desire it, but I want that cure. It's the only thing that will save Felix and I told him I wouldn't return without a cure...I trust Queen Annalise's words on this secret at least. That book did say that the church was harboring something dark...it may be the key to fixing this cure for both of us and the only way to get this information from your father." She said, her mouth getting the better of her because she was frustrated and upset. After some deliberation, she sniffled and moved back in, hugging him tightly as she nestled her head against him. "I'm sorry. I just need a second." She said in a tearful voice as she was trying to fight back the tears with his comfort.

He stiffened a bit when she went on about Felix....Felix this and Felix that- this cure was for Felix, I promised Felix.....he didn't give a damn about this Felix. He knew Rose cared for this man, that was irritating to him. He wanted to say something but decided to let her stay close while he simmered a little. "I don't mind accompanying you to find this secret for the cure but I...I'm feeling a little conflicted about why I want the cure." He stated but gave a sigh, letting Rose move away after she got herself under better control. "My sister is rabid. She can't be helped Rosalind. She can't be cured anymore, the information i came for. I came to figure out why it failed but I also am seeking a reason to understand this condemnation of my sister and why her death would be mercy." He stated to let her know his sister wasn't his reason for returning here... or staying here...

Rosalind looked a bit lost when he said he would accompany her, but that he was conflicted about the cure. While she thought it had to do with his father and what they just learned, instead it was his sister's condition. He sounded so negative, like it was all helpless. Why did he believe that she was uncurable? Maybe what they learned could save her. When he even said that he was looking for a reason to see her death as mercy, she frowned and felt a sting in her heart. She would never wish death on Felix... "Why are you so sure that a cure doesn't exist? That she can't be saved. I just don't understand why you're putting yourself through this pain when you don't owe me or Felix your life or time." She asked since she never had anyone stick their neck out for her without reason. All except Felix, who did it because he was kind and because she was useful to him. She didn't feel like Antony really liked her all that much, let alone that he tolerated her when fighting. It was hard to think about but she wasn't sure just what else to consider with him...

Antony frowned as Rose asked about why he didn't think the cure would cure his sister, after it obviously failed the first time. Her second set of words made him purse his lips, face screwing up in some jealousy. "I don't owe Felix a damned thing. You will have to forgive my lack of wanting to get my hopes up to save her anymore. The first attempt obviously failed and she isn't herself anymore, never will be. I've come to terms with this Rose. There will only be one cure. There won't be one for me this time." He stated. If his look didn't change much, obviously looking bothered by this topic in general. " there isn't enough of a cure for both my sister or him. You were the only reason I am even still here Anymore. I don't give a damn about this Felix, even if you do. I'm here to help you Rosalind, not anyone else, my family is lost, I will be the last of them hopefully." He said softly at the end looking a bit softer in his expression clearly letting himself relax a little more. "Your important to me Rose." He said softly before turning and leaving the room, figuring she didn't want to see him after he got frustrated and kinda threw more fire at her in the room. He went into this guest room and sat on his bed feeling off. He knew his family loved him but it was also his family that helped lead this place to hell...
