She sucked in a breath as he hissed at her and her face whited out. She had hoped to that he wouldn't have made that connection that fast, she wanted to explain that it wasn't just her reading that scroll but that she heard things from her father and the guards but she quickly got to her feet when she was told to follow him. She stopped at his doorway and didn't want to go any further. She was a little frightened to get closer to him at this point. She wasn't trying to anger him but it looked like she had done just that "It's not what you think, I promise...I've heard things from my father...but..." she took a deep breath knowing that it would be better if she was honest "I'm not going to lie I did skim the scroll but it wasn't anything that I didn't know already...I mean there were some parts that were different from what I knew but I swear I would never..." She backed up a little afraid that he was going to lash out at her as she had experienced before when she angered her father on sensitive topics. It wasn't her fault she had good hearing and a great memory, it was just natural to her.

Ramzan listened to her words though it did little to cool the burning turmoil inside of his heart and mind. He cooled his exterior but his eyes still remained burning pools of azure. "I have no doubt that you have heard and read but that give you no right to disobey now come in her now and shut the door. I am not going to hurt you." Unless you disobey me again was what he was thinking. He wasn't really going to hurt her but he might lecture her with hurtful words. He had to much compassion locked away in his heart to actually hurt the girl but that didn't excuse the fact that she knew much more than she should know. There was nothing he could really do about it for now, unless she didn't pass all of his tests than he would have to ask the gods for a favor and she wouldn't remember much of what she had learned.
Ramzan opened the scroll and skimmed over its words. The words that he had memorized. He could speak the scroll with out ever opening it once for a reference but looking at words distracted him from his pounding anger, he could hear it. His heart beat in his head as it pumped hot blood through his veins. He looked up at her to see if she had actually listened this time.

Isis judged his actions and his words, he was hot with rage that much was clear at the moment but she just couldn't help the empty feeling she got in the pit of her stomach. She took a deep breath and stepped into his room and slowly shut the door. She wondered why he wanted her in his room, there was no one else around so why couldn't this be discussed in the hallway or the living room. But she stood there with her back flushed against the door just waiting for him to blow up at her. That would be so much better then him standing there boiling over with rage. She studied him and the room. She looked for the best place that she could stand or run to if things got bad but the room didn't give anything that she could use. Plus it was his room and she was terrified to be in there with his things and with no way to get the door opened fast enough.

Ramzan studied her and noticed that she looked quite frightened. Good it should be that way. He closed the scroll and tossed it on a small table. "Now tell me what is it that you know?" He questioned her. He didn't looked so angry now but he was still quite full or a raging storm. It wasn't all directed at her but she just happened to be the one there to witness it. He wanted to know all that she knew and he wanted to know what she thought. Maybe the gods had a heart after all or maybe they were playing some sick joke with him to torment him some more until he became one of the. What a wonderful life isn't it.

She was glad when he calmed down some but it still didn't seem right that they had to come to his room for this question. She stared at him for a moment thinking of what she should tell him but something was telling her that wasn't the real reason he had asked that question. She closed her eyes to try and sort out her thoughts, she had to take herself out of that room to figure out what she was going to tell him. She prayed a little to the gods asking for guidance on this one and she got her answer "No because it does not matter what I know because regardless of the facts it is who you are and that does not matter to me. You are you because of what you go through and I am who I am because of what I go through and learn" she told him as she relaxed against his door a little bit. She was dodging his question but she didn't see why he wanted to know this. The facts about him did not change her views of him and she wondered if he had gotten that. She took another deep breath and stared straight into his eyes "The facts do not change what I think of you. There are some answers that you will not get out of me by pure force that's not how it works. Besides my knowledge is for myself and it was just a simple questions that you could have just told me to keep my nose out of you didn't have to go all psycho crazy on me...I do listen, at times." she finally said.

Ramzan cringed at her words and had to bite back some stinging retorts. This was made obvious by the artery in his neck being visible every time he clenched his jaw to tightly. His heart felt as if it had just done somersaults when she had said that what she knew didn't effect what she thought of him. Well that posed two questions in his mind. One of which was that he needed to know all that she knew because it was very important during her 'graduation' ceremony. If she knew the details about his fate and what he was to become and yet she still accepted him than Isis would have already passed her last test. Most refused to believe even when shown proof. Ramzan had also neglected to take her status in mind when he had began teaching her. She would have had access to knowledge that most would not have albeit maybe it wasn't the most proper way of finding out.
"And what do you think of me my dear Isis?" Ramzan questioned her, lifting his eyes from the floor and into her own. He walked towards her, his anger now just an ember but he held and air around him that warned even himself to be careful with what he did. He wasn't necessarily dangerous but he might say something beyond what he would mean to say. "And I do need to know what you know about my so called 'fate'. It hinges on you passing your final test or failing it. Which by the way you shouldn't be able to take for at the very least another year and a half. But my dear it seems you know more than you should so do answer both questions honestly." He had reached Isis and was only a foot away from her. His tone was delicate but it had rough edges. He reached out when he took another step and felt a strand of Isis's hair it was quite soft. He imagined her skin would be just as soft if not softer but he wasn't concerned with finding that out. It had just been a passing thought as he tried to rebuild his self control. He dropped her hair and stared into her eyes. A small smile was on his face though but it wasn't mocking or awkward. It held something that he hadn't had on his face since he was a young boy. Hope...

She watched his movements and could tell that he was still angry and she knew that he wouldn't like her answer. That was clearly visible from the vein in his neck bulging out but she was going to stick to her answer because she was too afraid to tell him what she did know about him. As he neared her more she tired to push further into the door but when she could not she just stood there. She had to take several deep breaths to calm herself down. Then he was only inches from her and she was not happy about that. Just because he wanted her to answer his questions did not mean that he had to be inches from her face. This man certainly didn't know about boundaries and she was trying her hardest not yell at him and push him away.
Isis closed her eyes to calm herself down as she gritted her teeth together once more. She listened to his words and what he wanted to hear from her but it was hard for her to put her thoughts into words at the moment without blowing up at him. "What I think of you is..." She opened her sapphire blue eyes and stared him down "that you are a man doing your job and living his life" she finally said letting her jaw unclench a little bit "As for what I know about you, that is not much different then what is in that scroll of yours. I told you that" and that was all that she was going to give him. She quickly slipped to the right of him and opened the door just enough so she could slip out and then she hurried into her room closing the door behind her. Then she rested against it taking short deep breaths.

"Ah" Was all that came out of Ramzan's mouth as she slipped away. He sighed and decided that it was time after all to go to the market. He wouldn't be back till dark so he figured that the Isis would be able to figure out something on her own. He put his headpiece and hood back over his head and clasped his twin blades to his hip. He had definitely made the princess uncomfortable. It was slightly amusing to him as he had a smirk tugging at his lips but her words had saddened him in a way. The Gods must be tormenting him. Though why would they do such a thing to one they had cursed.
So he left without a word to Isis, wanting to clear his mind from the days interesting outcome and the fact that he might have really screwed up this time. He walked quicker than before this time, Isis not with him to slow him down. She would learn soon enough how to walk on the wild sand of the desert. He made it to town in good time and bought quite a lot of food, many fruits for the princess as well. He would not snub or forget her as he bought food. He also picked up a little surprise for Isis in apology for blowing up on her or as she said going psycho crazy. He made his way back home though as soon as possible, the sun setting and the air cooling dramatically as it did so.
It was dark when he made it home, as he had anticipated. He had a large basket in his arms and a small package lightly placed on top. He managed to get the door open somehow and place the food accordingly. He then set the package in front of Isis's door. He hadn't bothered to look around to see if she was out of her room and if she had said anything to him he probably wouldn't have noticed as he was preoccupied in mind. He then walked into his room, ignoring the fact that he was hungry and got himself ready for bead. He lay down on the cushions and pulled the blanket up around himself. He wondered if she would like her little present. It was a luxury made blanket hand woven in the design of the setting sun. It had cost him a pretty penny but he believed it would be more comfortable than what she had now. And so with his last thoughts muddled and confused he drifted off into a very light and restless sleep.

Isis was happy when he didn't come pounding on her door yelling at her. She felt safe enough to step away from her door and walk over to her table. She picked up the scroll and opened it again and as she began to read she paced back and forth in her room. She blanked out all other noises as she got inveloped into the scroll. She wanted to get her mind of Ramzan and the scroll she wasn't suppose to read.
It was almost dark by the time she had looked up from her reading. She wasn't all that tired but her legs were from walking back and forth in her room. Isis had the scroll almost finished which she was proud of cause then she could use tomorrow to refresh what she had already read. So she put the scroll back on her desk and was about to just crawl into bed but then she turned to face her door, her stomach growling softly. She ignored that fact of being hungry as she now studied the sounds in the room, she wondered what Ramzan was doing that had kept him quiet the rest of the day. But she decided against going exploring in the house and walked over to her bed to crawl under the blankets that she had. She was exhausted and her body ached so it was hard for her to get to sleep that night.

It was early morning by the time Ramzan woke though it had felt like an eternity of night as he woke up constantly. He was quite tired and there were slight bags under his eyes but he still moved as if he were wide awake and as strong as could be. He didn't wake Isis up however as the sun had just began to rise. He went outside, preforming his usual morning ritual of watching the sun rise and cooking breakfast outside. Though he didn't really cook per-say as he laid out a variety of fruits and some cheese along with a traditional unleavened bread. He was sitting on a blanket and staring up at the slowly rising sun, his mind centered on Re as he began his journey as the sun across the sky. Ramzan was also waiting for Isis to get up. He wouldn't start eating with out her but if she didn't get up soon he would have to go and wake her up. He hadn't checked to see if she had gotten his package yet but even so she would get it when she came out of the room or trip on it at the very least.
Smirking at the thought, Ramzan imagined how angry she would be if she tripped. She would probably be angry at him for getting her a present in lue of apologizing. He wasn't good with words all the time and he figured showing his apology was better than him saying it and then saying something else that would make her angrier. He sighed out loud and laid on his back after taking a sip out of a water skin. The air was warming up bit by bit and after breakfast he was going to be taking her to a small set of springs not to far from here. They were safe as no parasites or carnivorous reptiles swam in the shallow waters and there were two right next to each other however they were blocked off by spars shrubbery and trees so Isis couldn't complain that he would be able to see her. So he sat and waited, watching the skies radiant colors blossom.

Isis finally rose from her bed when the sun started to shine in her eyes, as much as she didn't want to get up she knew that she would rather get up on her own then have Ramzan pounding on her door for her to get up. So she got to her feet and looked down at herself to make sure that her clothes were in place and then she adorned her head piece. She slowly walked over to her door and listened for any noise if there was any and when she didn't hear anything she slowly opened her door. Isis looked down the hallway and didn't see anything so she took step and she felt herself falling but she quickly caught herself on the door frame and looked down.
Sitting there in front of her door was a brown package "That wasn't there last night" she softly commented to herself. She kneeled down and picked it up. She then began to turn it over and over in her hands just studying it. She walked back into her room and placed the package on her desk. As curious as she was she had something to do that morning. So Isis left it there and walked out into the living room looking around but could not find Ramzan. She stifled a yawn into the back of her hand as she made her way further to the front of the house. "Ramzan?" She called softly and listened for a reply.

Ramzan was listening for any sound of Isis being up as he watched the colors in the sky. He was about to get up and go check on her but he thought he heard someone call his name. "I'm outside!" He called out. If he didn't get a response or Isis didn't come outside than he could officially say that he had been hearing things and would go to wake up the sleeping Princess. It was a beautiful morning after all. It wasn't very hot out yet and Ramzan figured that if they got good start to their morning, maybe they wouldn't fight. Of course he knew that this silly idea wouldn't work. It was human nature to fight. At least that was what he thought.
He glanced down at the food, his stomach growling slightly. He had managed to get his hands on some apple juice so he was quite happy with himself and was ready to try some out. He hadn't had that in what seemed like ages. Where he had come from in his travels there had been exotic fruits but alas no apples therefor no apple juice. His blue eyes turned towards the door now, in hopes that Isis would come out of the door.

She heard him call back and made her way to the front door. But she stood there in the doorway for a minute just staring at him and wondered how long he had been up. Though she knew there was something she had to do but she was a little scared to even talk to him at the moment. Would if he was still mad at her? And that was why he hadn't woken her that morning. Or maybe he was waiting to catch her off guard again, she took a deep breath and stepped out of the house making her way to stand in front of him. "Ramzan" she said softly looked at the ground, she knew that she had crossed a line and she was feeling bad for it. Isis also knew that he would probably think that she was a baby by the way she was acting "I wanted to say that I'm sorry...for what I said...or rather what I didn't say last night" she said a little loud but her voice was still soft.

Ramzan looked as Isis as she spoke and a small smile formed on his face though it wasn't due to happiness or a malicious anger. It was nothing really. The odd little smile that he always put on though his eyes were softer than normal. They had compassion in them but other features on his face showed a turmoil that was raging inside of him. It always was though he had been shaken last night and it had a lasting effect. "Let us not speak of it now. It is said and done and I also should apologize for reacting in the way I did. Now come and eat before the sun fully rises. It is quite a beautiful sight." Ramzan wasn't sure but he felt as if he needed to act a little nicer to this girl however much of a princess she was. He turned away from her, his different smile fading away and his eyes going dull. He looked to the sky and wished for a sign of hope in his mind. He truly needed a bit of change in his life. At least if he wished to be at least as good at Anubis was now. Despite his sardonic nature the god always held compassion for humans. It was an odd mix and one that Ramzan shared with him but it didn't quite shine through as much as it should.

Not exactly the response she thought she was going to get but she would take it. She sat down on the blanket that he had been sitting on and looked to the sky, it was beautiful as he said but she was in a bit of a down mood this morning and wasn't sure why. She had always been the happy girl and put on a good face for everyone but today she didn't feel like trying to make everyone else happy. She wasn't feeling good and her mood wasn't going to just change if she put on a happy face. She looked down at the food that he had and that put a small smile on her face but it quickly faded as her thoughts persisted in making her miserable. She picked up a grape and popped it in her mouth, she chewed slowly as she thought. Though she wasn't as hungry as she normally was in the morning she would eat something just so Ramzan didn't give her a hard time about not eating.
