After a while longer Ramzan decided that she had been standing there for long enough. He took the knife from her hand and then went to gather up the rest of the stuff to go put it back inside. "You may move but now I want you to run three laps around this house. No stopping. Now go." He waved her away and walked inside, his mood had changed from mocking to somewhat depressed. He didn't feel like punishing her too badly today so he figured running a few laps would be good enough.
Ramzan walked outside after a moment with a fresh water skin and waited for Isis to complete her laps. He would hand it out to her whenever it was she was finished. He sat and the hot sand and hissed as it burned ever so slightly. He looked up at the sky, a frown on his face along with a contemplative look, his blue eyes shinning brightly in the sun.

Isis was happy when she could move again but she had to stop her jaw from dropping because he wanted her to run around the house in the clothes that she was wearing. But he walked into the house and she knew that she had no choice. So once he went back inside she started her laps, with every pound of her foot in the sand she beat away some of her anger. She was nearing her last lap when she saw Ramzan come back outside and then she came a complete stop in front of him. She was exhausted from the heat and her head hurt, Isis just wanted to go lie down in her bed and let this day just be over with. But looking at his face she wasn't sure if this day was over just yet. She steadied her breath and tried to keep herself from sweating so much that way she wouldn't lose as much water. Her head piece was becoming a little heavy for her and she wished that she hadn't worn it today but she wasn't ready to give up her identity as a princess yet.

"Here you go Isis." Ramzan said and handed out the water skin to her. He stayed where he was though and sighed slightly as he watched the clouds go by. "There is a scroll on the table inside for you to read. You need to have it done by the day after tomorrow but you can be done for today. Tomorrow we are going to go to a spring near by to wash up." He added the last sentence as an after thought and then he pushed her from his mind and stared up at the sky. He didn't know why but he felt a bit saddened today. He would be over it soon enough however. It was only natural that reality would weigh in on him ever so often. So he sat there a look on his face that was uncharacteristic of himself. Ramzan thought that Isis probably thought him crazy. Ha. If she did than that could make things more fun but then he might loose his student though it would be her loss. No it would be his. So much as he disliked people, he enjoyed company in a way. It was his human nature.

She took the water and took a decent swig of it and then set it next to him. She studied him for a minute trying to figure out what had changed but she wasn't going to delve to deep into his brain. She nodded her head and walked into the house. She picked the scroll up off the table and then continued into her room. She set the scroll on her table and sat down on her bed. She carefully removed her head piece and set it on the table then she removed her shoes. Her feet were beat red and they were throbbing so she just rubbed them a little bit and then leaned over grabbing the scroll. She opened it up just a bit and started to read the beginning of it as she laid back on her bed. She was only halfway focusing on the scroll while her mind worked on the last scroll and Ramzan.

Ramzan sat out there until it became to hot to bare. He stood, picked up the water skin and went inside. He set the water skin in the kitchen, under a table which was the coolest spot for it to be. He then walked into his room and took off his own head piece. He laid down on his bed and just thought about many different things. He wasn't in the mood to read and he wasn't in the mood to go to the market. He was just there it seemed. Exercising didn't seem appealing either so instead he prayed. He prayed to Re and Isis and even Anubis. He prayed of many things and spoke his mind with the gods. All the while out loud though in a soft voice. If Isis came to his door she would be able to hear him though just barely. He spoke of his fear of the future and his change that he knew was coming soon, he prayed for Isis to succeed in her studies no matter the fact that she could use a bit of an attitude adjustment. He also spoke of his wish for a wife and the chance to help create a child though he knew that this was near impossible. And when he was done he lay back on his bed and sighed, feeling slightly better of heart and mind.

When she couldn't stand to read anymore she rolled the scroll up and placed it on the table. She turned on her side and looked out a small window and just stared. She yawned a little bit and her eyes fluttered closed. She listened for movement in the house but her mind worked on the scrolls regardless of what she wanted to do so she just let it wander around to anything that it would fall on and then her mind wandered to her memory of watching Ramzan practice in the beating sun and how the sweat glistened on his body and the curve of his muscle. She sat up in bed her eyes wide and her breath quick. "No no no" she told herself and then drew her knees to her chest resting her forehead on her knees. "Ugh" she groaned to herself trying to get that image out of her head. She was sure the gods would test her for her thoughts.

Ramzan closed his eyes and let his self control wither like a dying weed. He opened his bright eyes and stared at his ceiling. Now what did he truly think of Isis. He wanted to know himself so he replayed the days actions with a different mind, one completely human and with no trained barriers to block out unwanted thoughts. He saw Isis's determined face and how her clothes showed just enough to make any man dream of the impossible. How she bore herself with confidence though at time she seemed unsure. Ramzan was sure that would change as she grew in age and in knowledge. She would make a fine ruler. Especially once he was done teaching her all he knew. He wondered however how accepting of the absurd she was. If only she knew... would she still talk to him as she did now or would she be to afraid to talk back. He didn't know all he did know that he would find out eventually and he hoped that she would accept him and become high priestess and a great pharaoh. He sighed and sat up, building up his self control again as thoughts of Isis as a woman began to form in his mind. Once completely vanished from his mind, he walked out of his room and knocked on Isis's door. "Isis can you come out?" He asked and then went to sit on the pillows in the lounge room. Why not try to spend time with her? Maybe it would make a difference in her last ceremony.

Isis was startled by the knock but she looked to the door hearing his words. She thought that she was done for the day and that he would be leaving her alone to do his own thing as he had before. She got to her feet not wanting to put her shoes back on and started toward her door. She looked back at her head piece for a second and decided that she wasn't up for putting it back on. She ran a hand through her hair just to make sure she look presentable and made sure that her clothes were all in place and then she walked out into the lounge room where she saw him just sitting there. Her brows knitted together as she studied the behavior that he was giving off "You wish to speak to me? Am I to receive punishment for refusing your order?" She knew that it was too good to be true that he was just waiting for her to let down her guard and then he was going to test her in what ever he saw fit. She did not move from standing just inside the room and she had her hands firmly down at her sides. Maybe he was giving up on her, maybe she had proved to be too difficult for him as she had her other teachers. That would explain his behavior towards her "I'm an unfit student for you and I should just go back to the palace, right?" Her questions were half hearted but she was feeling a little depressed.

"Lay off of it alright Princess. Is it a sin for a teacher to want to get to know their student better?" He question, his voice slightly mocking but that was just how he was. His face was utmost serious though when he spoke next, "I was not planning on punishing you though if you so dearly wish to be I will think up of something." He then patted a set of cushions next to him. He was hoping that she would accept his offer to just talk but hopefully she knew that if she wanted to she could just go back to her room and read. Really she could read anywhere other than his room.
He waited to see what she would do while thinking up of basic questions he could ask. He wasn't the best person at one on one talking but he would manage well enough. He was observant so he knew how people talked to one another when not in a group or in front of other. "Really all I wish to do is talk. He added a few moments later and gave a smile though it looked odd on his face as he didn't think he was required to smile but he thought it might add a little bit of reassurance.

She sighed in frustration and rolled her eyes, she was doing as she was instructed by her father before he had introduced Ramzan to her. She watched him for a few seconds and shook her head no to wanting the punishment. Then she moved to the spot that he had patted and she sat down curling her legs up underneath her and relaxed against the pillows. "What would you like to talk about? And I thought we had come to an agreement about not calling me Princess" she finally found her true voice again and she studied his posture and mood.

"I never said that I would never call you Princess again. It just fit so well in the statement that I couldn't resist." Ramzan smirked at his comment and her own. She was quite perceptive she was and if she put it to good use all the time she would do quite well under him indeed. Though he switched his mind over to the topics he wanted to discuss and rubbed hes hand over the pricks of golden brown hair. They were showing now as he wasn't wearing his head dress anymore nor his hood.
"Well I wanted to get a feel for your likes and dislikes so I felt I am obligated to ask you what it is you like to eat. Now nothing to expensive. I can't spend all my money on food." He added the extra bit in just to see her reaction and also because it was partially true. He was expecting her to list off expensive foods. It wasn't necessarily a bad thing though. She was a princess after all. So he waited for a response, his blue eyes boring into her as if searching for something secret locked away inside of her mind.

So he felt obligated to get to know her but she would take it and if she answered his questions then maybe he would answer hers. She thought over his question a little bit and came up with a few things. "Fruits are my favorite really, but other then that I'm not picky" she said hoping that he liked her answer but she wasn't too concerned about it and she thought over a few things and then she gave him a serious look "Is it true about your past" she knew that it was a general question but she hoped that since it was generalized that he would answer it. Though she had other questions that she wanted answered about the scroll she had read on her first night here but she was sure that it would shock him and anger him too quickly and then she would have gotten no where. "I've heard stories...it gets boring at the palace on most days and soldiers talk" she explained cause that was where she first heard it but at that time the information didn't interest her.

"Fruits it shall be then." Ramzan commented and thought about all that the market sold. They didn't have some of the more exotic fruits and when they got to traveling he figured that Isis might enjoy taste testing some of them. He was sure she would like some of the different ones. Her question took him off guard a little. He smirked before responding though. "Well I didn't say you would be learning more about me but alas I am curious. There are rumors about me? What are they? And what do yo mean by my past?" If she could really come up with something he would answer it. Well most likely. It depended on how sensitive the information was. After all many rumors are based of of true information. They are just stretched so far and distorted so much that they become just that a rumor. He counted his heart rate then while waiting. He was a little bit excited he figured though about what he wasn't sure. Oooo. Grapes. Ramzan was definitely going to pick up grapes at the market. He did wish that they sold pomegranate though but alas he would have to wait for his travels to get his hands on any of those. It was odd that he would change topics in his mind like that so quickly but that must mean only one thing. His mind was trying hide something from him or just hide in general from his current situation. Oh well couldn't be helped now. Now could it.

She knew that was the answer she was going to get, so much for talking on a level basis but she let it go and looked away from him. She studied the room and everything in it but her head snapped back to Ramzan as he expanded on her question about his past. She thought over several things that she had heard at the palace plus the parchment that she had read the other day. How could she word this that would not lead him to the fact that she read that scroll "I was just wondering if it was true about your fate...what you father did..." she said hinting that she knew more then she was asking, now she was getting into the information that she probably shouldn't know. "If you do not wish to tell me that is perfectly fine. I will forget what I have learned" though she really wouldn't she just wouldn't bring it up again if he told her that it was none of her business.

Ramzan's eyes narrowed and his face took on a hue of held back anger. If she had wanted to anger him or point it out that she had definitely looked at something she wasn't supposed to than she had done a fabulous job of if. Just a wonderful and dandy job. "You read that scroll didn't you." He hissed out and stood up, motioning for her to follow him. The look on his face warned that she would be in big trouble if she dare disobey him now.
"I should have mentioned this before but I would have thought you would have figured this out on your own Princess." It was obvious that he had been upset by what Isis had said. Little did she know how upsetting it was for him. He had to hold himself back from sneering her name of princess. Luckily for her, Ramzan had great self control. The only scrolls you are allows to read are those in your room and those I assign to you unless to otherwise." He opened the door to his room and waited for Isis to follow him inside. He reached under the pillows of his bed and pulled out the scroll that he had mistakenly left out on the table. He eyed it venomously and wearily before looking to see if the Princess had followed him or not.
