He got her blood boiling, he could just see the way that he saw her. She kept her lips tightly shut and listened to him. She watched him walk away from her and saw where he stood. Isis didn't like the way that he assumed that she was that bad, she had a great mind and that distance just seemed like he was making fun of her. She took a few steps forward but not up to him, he had already made her mad so now she was going to show him. She picked up an arrow from her quiver and placed it in the catch. She aimed it the sack that he had pointed out just moments ago. She took a breath and pulled the string back this time with more force then before, granite she was a little upset at Ramzan. Then she took another breath and then she released the arrow. She watched its path and it hit the sack in the middle. She rested the bow by her side and look at Ramzan with a small cocky grin.

"Ah so I set you off now did I." Ramzan said as he watched her aim and shoot the arrow in the middle. Now he knew how to get her to work harder. Just set her off and watch the success. Though with a smile he took her own bow from her hands and also her arrow. He walked till he was about four times her distance away. He aimed and shot without a sweat hitting the arrow she had shot right in the middle, splitting it in half. "Until you can shoot from here and do what I just did. I will not be impressed." Though that wasn't completely true. It depended on how much she improved by each day though now he was going to have her step back five steps a day. That would give her a bit more of a challenge.
"Now then shoot arrows until I come back from where you are and then go get some water. We will begin practicing your knife skills." He then went inside after walking up to her and handing Isis her bow back. With a smile he left her and walked into his study again. He looked at the book case for a little while before choose a semi short one and a long one. He then walked back outside to watch her for a moment. When he thought that she had done enough he walked up to her and handed her the small scroll. It was only a few paragraphs long. "I want you to read this during your break. Do not come out of the house until you feel rested and have read it twice." He said and then ushered her away.

She felt proud of herself till he took her bow from her and then that made her wonder if she did it wrong. She ran over the calculations in her head and it was all perfect, then she stepped back and watched his arrow go threw hers and then that made her mad. She took her bow back from him and was glad when he left. She studied the spot where he had been and her's then how much force and calculation needed to succeed that shot. But it also took confidence to make that shot so she positioned herself in almost the exact position she had been before. She took several shots and she was never satisfied with it and in the middle of her next shot Ramzan came out to her.
Isis took the scroll from him and walked into the house. She hated the fact that he was pushing her like this but she was relieved to have a little something to read. It stimulated her brain more then weapons. She sat down in her room with a small drink reading over the scroll, it wasn't anything compared to the scroll she had read yesterday but it was still interesting.

He had brought a water skin outside with him and took a drink out of it, also pouring some of it down his back and chest. With that he drew his twin swords and weighed them in his hands. He loved the feeling of their grip and how they looked...They were just so elegant. The feeling of their metal and leather grips, the way the sun glinted off of them. It was a deadly beauty that he had had to rely on on many occasions. These blades had saved his life a fair share of times.
So he began to practice by himself. Slowly at first but he sped up as his muscles began to regain the memory of how they were to move. Every muscle in his body stood out and his piercing blue eyes shown with excitement and concentration as he let himself go and his awareness dimmed. He wouldn't notice a thing now unless it was dangerous. He swung his blades and practiced his agility. He may have truly wanted a sparing partner but imagining someone there would help him as well. Graceful and light on his feet, he glided across the sand in a deadly dance that was as entrancing to watch as it was to forget that a single move he made could kill you.

She wasn't sure what the point of her reading this was, she was still wondered when he was going to test her on the information that she had read last night. But she did as she was told and rested up and read the scroll three times instead of the two times he had said. She drank some more water and then took the scroll with her back outside and she was about to tell him that she was done to see why he had her read it but then stopped. She watched him work with his sword, watching his technique and memorizing it. She then moved to him, she watched his body move, his muscles bending to his will and the sun glistening on his body.
Isis' heart started to race a little bit and her stomach started doing flips. She quickly looked away from him and cleared her throat to try and get his attention.

Ramzan hadn't heard her clear her throat but he did feel a new presence near him and it was one he didn't recognize at first. He had forgotten the princess entirely at this point and in a place of not noticing the person there he swung his sword but stopped it mid way through as he remembered the princess and saw her staring there. Luckily he had a bit more control than most as it stopped right at her throat but he lowered his swords immediately. "I am sorry Princess but please do not sneak up on me like that." Ramzan said somewhat harshly though he knew that it was somewhat his fault for letting himself go. He walked over to pick up his water skin and drank greedily from it. Once his thirst was quenched he walked back over to Isis and sheathed his swords. The tattoos on his hips seemed to stand out more than normal due to the water and sweat glistening on his torso. He would need to bath soon he thought but then put his full attention of his bright blue eyes on Isis.
"I see that you have finished the scroll. Good I have another one for you to read by the day after tomorrow however right now I want you to tell me the tragedies of Isis's life." If Isis wasn't sure why Ramzan had had here read that small scroll on a ceremony for Re than maybe she would understand now. It was a simple trick to take ones mind off of something they had learned earlier and to have them focus on a totally different topic. Ramzan could get a grasp of how well she dealt with multiple types of information going around in her head.
((Once again you can answer or not. It will be the same with all the questions. It doesn't bother me. Just say if she got it right or wrong. :-)))

Her breath caught in her throat as she saw a flash of red but then it was gone quickly when he accused her of sneaking up on him "I didn't, I've been standing here for a few and you continued to...never mind" she cleared her throat again and manage to get her mind partially back on the topic. She sifted through her memory thinking back to Isis and she drew a blank. She looked at him wondering why he did this to her, he never said anything about tricking her to teach her. But she stood straight and looked at him and answered him. "Isis's tragedies she had to find and bury her husband...she had to...her son..." she had to think some more. This wasn't fair to test her like this "She had to protect her son from his uncle who wanted to kill him. She was the mother of life but also she had to deal with death..." she looked like she had been defeated, for the first time she was stumped. She knew that she knew the information she just couldn't put it into words the right way. "I have nothing" she finally said but not with defeat in her voice. She would not give up, she would research more. Learn the story backwards and forwards. Much like all the information she would do and she could see it now. She could not get distracted by such trivial things as Ramzan had done to her.

"Ahhh..." Ramzan smiled fully and honestly. She had done better than predicted. "Princess you most definitely have a mind that will do wonders once trained properly. You did better than I expected. Most of my students don't remember a thing." He patted her on the shoulder but that was as much of a complement as he was going to give her. He walked over and picked up Isis's knife and only glanced at his own. He brought it over and handed it to her, taking the scroll out of her hands. He went and set that down, taking off his swords as well. He then stood in front of her, strait and tall hand down a his sides. "Attack me. Do not hesitate. Attack me full force and do not think you will hurt me for I grantee you will not." He smiled and waited for her move. If she managed to scratch him then he would use his own knife to block but for now she needed to learn how to move her body unpredictably. He was going to teach her to be his equal and if she could ever best him than he knew that he had gone beyond himself in his teachings. ((I am assuming that she won't be any good at first but if she has a talent with the blade let me know>.<.))

She was happy that he didn't seem disappointed in her answer but when he took the scroll from her and gave her the sword she was confused. She had figured that the training for this weapon would be like with the bow and told her to attack him. There was no way she was going to do that, he hadn't done anything to her...yeah he made her mad a few times but not enough to where she would attack him with a sword. She let the sword rest at her sides and made no movement towards him. "No" she told him sternly but not loud enough where it would be confused with anger "I will not attack you for you have done nothing to harm me and it is not right" she told him and leaned the sword up against the house then she turned to face him. She realized that she liked the bow much better now even though he show her up and to her the bow was not as dangerous as the sword. Even though she was no good at wielding a sword she was also scared to even hold it no matter how must it called to her.

A slight annoyance colored Ramzan's face when Isis refused his order of attacking him. "Although a noble response and your words are true I must again tell you to attack me. It was not a question Princess. Now do you wish to learn how to use those weapon or not. You can not just have me instruct on how to move you must spar to really get a grasp of how to move and bend to the will of your instincts" His voice held a slight hint of daring and mocking. He wanted to egg her on. Pressure her into doing what he told her. If she did not wish to learn close combat than so be it. He would have to up her exercises more than hope that she became a good archer quickly. He again stood up strait, his hands at his side. Ramzan also felt insulted. Did she really doubt his skill in protecting himself? Bah. She was acting like a child.

She squinted her eyes a little trying to get a better look at his face "Regardless of that I have not touched a weapon in my life. Only studied them and to order me to attack you with a weapon I have not even been able to touch is rude. I do not feel confortable attacking you when I know that I will be getting hurt and don't flatter yourself. I am not refusing on the basis that I think I will hurt you on the contrary I think the opposite" She made no move to pick up her sword again but she did want him to understand where she was coming from. He may want to disregard her life style but it played a large part in her life and up bringing. "I very mush so would like to learn how to wield this sword I'm just not comfortable being told to attack just after being handed a weapon"

Ramzan sighed, placing his thumb and ring finger on his temples and began to massage them. This woman was more concerned with her own safety. Now that just seemed to him like more of an insult. "Once again Princess you doubt my capabilities to teach and defend. I feel hurt that you would even think that I would tell you to attack me if there was even the slightest chance that I would hurt you. Albeit I do not know how much of a klutz you are so you might have tripped on a rock and scraped your knee. I am sorry." He growled out the last part and walked up to her, picking up her knife and shoving it in her hand. Roughly he positioned her arm at an angle, forced her to bend her knees and spread her legs shoulder width apart. "There. That is how you should stand. Now keep that position until I say stop... Oh wait." He lifted up her non dominant hand in a blocking position and smiled sweetly. "There now you may begin." Sure he was frustrated and sure he was letting her see it but it was a little more fun that way and plus. He would get to see the little princess all riled up and maybe she would even disobey him. Tsk, tsk, tsk. That would not be a good thing at all.

She slowly took in a deep breath as his words cut through her, he had twisted her words to sound as if she was conceded and that made her even angrier. Then she was shocked when he shoved the knife into her hand and then forced her into a stance. Right now was a time she wished that she had her father's guard to put him in his place. She watched him walk away from her and she stayed in the place that he had put her in but she had other things on her mind. She wanted to scream at him, she didn't feel right holding up a weapon to Ramzan when he really didn't do anything to her but now she was mad.
(Sorry it's so short))

Ramzan's back was to Isis as he stared out into the deserts sand dunes and the hot air shimmering air. He thought back for a moment about his first time wielding a weapon. It had not been his father whom had taught him but rather a guard from the pharaoh's ranks. It had been tough and painful but he had never given up. He strived to be the best he could be at everything he did. He had wanted to travel and see the world to learn all he could before his time was up and he would be forced to stay in Egypt. He would always have work after he changed and his responsibilities would be even greater. Though his one goal in life was to find someone who would accept his fate and he himself no matter what would happen. Though the gods seemed to have it out for him as the only women he was fortunate to come close too would never look past his sardonic and callous behavior, "Alas you really do intend me to suffer Re don't you." He said ever so softly to the sky above as he raised his head to look at the blue and everlasting sky. ((Short is fine. . ))

Isis tried to crane her neck to see what he was doing but she did not move from her spot, however she did close her eyes. She was steadying her breath and her heart. She was listening to the him and the winds anything that would stop and talk to her. She wanted to know why he chose to live out here and be the way that he was, no amount of knowledge written on paper could tell you truly how a person was. And that scroll she had read meant little to her, she saw how he acted, she saw how he held himself that scroll did not but she feared that there was something else that he held back. Isis opened her eye again and focused them on Ramzan waiting to see what he was going to do to her, maybe he was going to punish her for talking back, or disregarding his orders or maybe he was just going to let her be. But that was unlikely and out of character for him.
