Layfon’s smile could light up a room when she agreed to continue hanging out with him. He was quite pleased and took her hand, pulling her down the walkway. He took her down an escalator and close to where they had met before he stopped in front of another store. Letting go of her hand, he wasn’t sure if she would find it inappropriate or whatever. The store was your basic game shop and Layfon went in it with a bit of a lost look. He wasn’t one to shop at one. Glancing back at Monica he gave her a smile, it being obvious that he was quite the energetic and peppy individual. At times he acted like a child but he could be charming and even funny. It wasn’t that he couldn’t be serious, it was just that he would rather try and be cheerful around others so that they might catch on and be cheerful as well. It was like the Crowd Effect. If a certain few people started getting angry, a chain reaction would occur that would cause more and more people around them to behave in that manner. It was a huge cause of rioting. Layfon was just better at getting people to act in a certain manner. Call it pheromones or phycology, he didn’t need a group to pull off making those around him happier. He walked up to the counter and asked the clerk about the controller that his brother had specified. The man got the controller and Layfon paid for it. He had it bagged and slipped his movies in as well. Turning to Monica, it was obvious that he had rushed through the place to avoid any other awkward situations. “Is there anything here you might want?” He questioned, trying to get to know his new acquaintance a bit better. ~~~ Rowan chuckled at his partner’s response to his question about having a brother. It seemed she was annoyed by the childish actions. For all he knew her brother was a child. He wouldn’t ask though, it wasn’t really appropriate or pertinent. A clicking noise echoed from the game, signifying that she had found the tile. A code popped up on his screen and he broke it, with a little more difficulty than before. “Get ready to look at it now.” He warned with humor in his voice. The dragon would come now and it would be a tough battle, though not so bad since there were two of them. So far they had done well together but since there was no puzzle and just a battle this time he wondered if they fought well together. He inwardly chuckled at his thought process. He was looking at this like an actual soldier. What a silly way to play a game, but it did work for the most part. ~~~ Briony leaned back in his chair, sipping on a straw from a takeout cup. There wasn’t anything left in it, just the sound of small droplets trying to be sucked into a small cylindrical tube. It annoyed him and he was thirsty. Frowning, he threw the cup in the trash and then got back to typing on his computer. Bridget had sent him ten applications to look over. So far three looked acceptable. He sent her a quick email about which ones he wanted to have called in. He had been sitting down for too long it was so damn frustrating to not be able to move around. He had loads of paper work to do but he liked to move around when he was frustrated and since he couldn’t, it made him more frustrated. Taking a deep breath to relax, he had to remind himself that he couldn’t be placed in a compromising position. He began humming a soft tune to himself to help him relax, a planted pot in the corner seeming to grow a little bigger. It was only a minor consequence. (( I am taking liberties with the game =p. This is our dragon but with two heads. ^.^))

Monica was caught off guard by his smile, the one he gave her when she agreed to stick around. Did he really run into so many people that treated him differently for his money? It was a nice smile, a warm one that made her want to smile as well. She hadn't expected him to take her hand and pull her along, but she hardly complained. She was more taking in just how happy he seemed. She wasn't used to people that had such a cheerful disposition. It was a nice change and she had to admit it gave him a boyish cuteness to him. When he went into the shop he seemed to whirl through it and grabbed what he needed. It seemed like he was rushing but could she blame him after the first awkward run in. He asked her if she needed anything and she shook her head. "I'm not much of a gamer. The most I've played is Mrs. Pacman at a bar." She said looking into the store to check. She only got to see the inside of these stores like once or twice, only with a guy that she was dating and once with her sister and Susanna. "What about you? Was the controller everything?" She asked wondering if that was the only reason why he was there.

With the resounding click noise that echoed a huge rumbled erupted in the room. The screen shook and the controllers vibrated like mad and a wall in the back fell down to expose a rather large elemental dragon. It was a Poison steel dragon. A hard and rare sitting, since the review said that there was a different dragon every time you played. "Wow a PSD! Oh my god that's so cool, I've never seen one before. This is awesome." She immediately thought of its strengths and weaknesses like a normal gamer would, and buffed up, She had a reflexive healing buff up in a sphere about half the size of the arena since her level was pretty high it was pretty big coverage area. "So water or ice attacks and Earth based damage weapons if you have any... Those are its weaknesses. I can handle healing and front tank but you think you can do ranged since you being a pyro and all. Fire will only strengthen a dragons attacks if we inflict fire based damage on it. Got it?" She asked the last part but felt like an uber dork after she said it, most people didn't pay that close attention to game pieces not to mention the rare ones where they never usually show up in any circumstances. She stratigically made her attack buttons in a flourish way so she could change easily as the intro of the dragon started. "Young adventurers... You may have bested my puzzles but you will not defeat one such as I. For I am all powerful and I will use you as a sacrifice!" The deep rumbled voice echoed about and she giggled a bit," Oh this is so exciting, I have seen one of every dragon now, so after I beat this one I will have my Dragon Master badge!"
((I'm so enjoying this gamer thing... All I have to do is describe the noob quest in my LC game HAHAHAHA))

chuckled at Monica’s Mrs. Pacman comment. He played video games on occasion, but it was nothing to the extent to which Rowan did. That man was obsessive when it game to games. “I don’t need anything else at this store. “ He said as he made his way out of the store. The mall was a bit more crowded than before; kids out of school for the day had made their way here to hang out. Turning to face Monica, he smiled, as always. “I do need to get a new pair of formal pants for that family function that I mentioned earlier.” His smile turned into a frown. It was obvious he would rather not get into a pair of suit pants. “Care to help me find a good pair?” He questioned, wondering if she would be annoyed that he asked her to come with him to a variety of stores. After all, they were technically strangers. ~~~ Rowan’s partner was completely and utterly excited, to say the least, when the dragon appeared. He cursed under his breath when he saw what kind it was but rolled his eyes at Zelda’s comments about it. He had already begun switching his weaponry. Fire based attacks weren’t the only thing he could do. His other attacks just weren’t as effective. “Already ahead of you.” He said with humor as he took the back so that she could have the front as she had mentioned. Young…Rowan wanted to laugh at that. Compared to the girl he was partners with on her, he bet he was old enough to be her grandfather. Of course, she could be older than she sounded, he doubted that. “Congrates early, oh master of the dragons.” He teased and then began attacking with a bow, earth magic damage equipped. This was going to be a piece of cake as long as Zelda didn’t do something foolish.

Monica did check her phone within the time that she was allowed, only to find a message from Sophie. It was basically a ramble of where she was, if she was okay, and what to expect when she got back. She would be gone till a bit later than usual...there went her sisterly bonding plan. She texted back a quick response telling her sister she was at the mall and that she would just chill at the apartment till she got back though she seemed a bit put off by the whole idea. She didn't like having nothing to do. It made her think too much and when her mind wandered things she hardly wanted to deal with seemed to come up. Which was part of the reason why hanging with Micheal for a bit wasn't a bad thing to her. Regardless of them being mere acquaintances, he kept her busy and seemed to be okay with it. She wasn't quite sure why he liked her tagging along so much but she had to admit she didn't mind. Humor colored her expression at the frown about finding formal pants. Shopping was definitely not something she was passing up. "Good pair? Pssh, we'll find you an awesome pair." She said before thinking to herself that she wasn't quite sure of the stores they had around here. "Got any preference on stores? I think I saw a Brooks Co. on that map and perhaps an Avenue somewhere." She gave a bit of a thoughtful look as she reminded herself that he was a Hayes, meaning designer must have been more his style than the mid level bargain stuff. Well, she would have assumed that if he wasn't dressed so commonly, even with a beeny.

She was smiling as his toon took the back place and began earth damage attacks, thought the dragon was already focused on her since she was the closest to it, Pulling out her level 148 Rombe duels she buffed the ice attack on them so the reflected a faint blue, Then went in for the attack but did well to stay in her ranged attack proof bubble, if the dragon shot poison it would hurt them because of the shield. With in a few hits it was about 1/3 of its health down until the ground shook and a hoard of about 20 Gnolls came shooting out of the ground, she didn't like that, " Damned things! Die already! I hate these, they make gross spit sounds! Gross." She commented as one could hear a boy screaming and throwing a huge fit over the mic she sighed heavily. " Here we got again... Hissy fit number one." It was a loud screaming and a few thumps and slammed doors to be heard later that the dragon was to half health, after killing the Gnolls that is. She hated fighting them but she had to because the dragon because inactive to attack until they were dead. "Crap- Hold the front a sec, I gotta recast the shield... Its almost out." She stopped attacking and equipped her Demnor wand and started the casting since it took about 10 seconds to fully cast. The next thing she had to cast was a revitalize charm on herself because she was getting too much side damage from the gnolls but when she fought the dragon it lessened her damage, but she figured there would be more waves of Gnolls coming up. "Stupid things don't stay up long... Wish I could afford the extender...Its only like 300 Mill in gold for that skill book... lame." "Yay it finally went back to sleep. Sorry it was my little brother... He is a troll..." ( these are the duels they are so sweet, i just had to share))

“Both of those places sound great and I know where both are.” Layfon responded with a small laugh. His family usually went to a custom shop but he didn’t really like the manager and he didn’t really have time to wait for a custom pair that would come tomorrow. Plus, this was more fun. Taking her hand again, this time not caring if she thought it was weird, he led her towards Brooks Co. “So, Monica. You know my last name and the fact that I have two brothers. If you don’t mind me asking-“ He paused and looked at her with a mock serious face. “Spill.” He added and added an over dramatic quirk of his eyebrow. He hoped that she didn’t mind but for this kind of information, he did want to know. If he wanted her to be more than some fling, he would want to actually know about her somewhat. It wasn’t hard to find out information about Layfon if you knew who he was. He was infamous for sleeping around, though in reality no one really could prove anything and it was all just rumors. For the most part though, his temporary partners kept quiet for many reasons not involving money. He was a playboy, but he didn’t try and bag everyone that he thought was attractive. Lately his taste had gotten towards the not wanting anyone. It made him grouchy at times, but it was good for letting the rumors die down. He wasn’t a bad person, he just liked to have fun. ~~~ Rowan couldn’t help but laugh at his partner’s reaction to the Gnolls. He sobered when he heard a young child screaming in the background, male by the sound of it. It was a little unnerving, but he was used to the children of this planet acting like brats in public, though it was even normal where he was from for some of the youngest to act that way in private. “I’ll watch your back.” He commented as she went to go recast the shield. When she got back at it, he took his back stance and let her play up at the front. “300 mill isn’t that bad.” He muttered and shrugged, even though she wasn’t there. He made it sound like he was wealthy on the game and he was. He was a secret badass that tried to keep to him for the most part. It helped that he was stingy when it came to partners and he only ever shared his wealth with those he actually liked. He hated when people begged so anyone that did that was knocked off of his benevolence list. “Eh, it’s alright. I have a little brother too. He throws tantrums like that and he’s twenty one.” Rowan responded with a laugh in his voice. The dragon was at a third of his health now and pretty soon a quarter. It wouldn’t be long before the beast was slain and they could go to a fake tavern and brag about it.

Monica found that Micheal was making a habit of taking her hand when they walked. Though she wasn't too sure if he was worried she would get lost or if it was just his confidence taking over his actions. To any other guy she would normally have pulled away and offered them a bit of a witty remark to keep them from doing it again. But Micheal had earned her respect with the movies and.. Perhaps it was the warmth of his personality but she actually found the hold comfortable, rather than awkward. When he asked her about herself she gave a light laugh at his expression. "Yeah no, I've got nothing interesting up my sleeve unlike somebody..." She said, in a light hearted manor before she continued. "Let's see, well, I'm Monica Belvidere. I'm currently a student at SO university and I have an older sister named Sophine." She gave him curious look herself. "Alright, if we're giving information, I want to know something else about you. Anything you want." She said knowing it wasn't too pushy to ask, not that she was sure if he minded. He seemed open enough to take a little questioning.

Her toon paused as she laughed so hard at the idea that his 21 year old brother threw tantrums like that. "Oh that's good, I'm hoping my brother grows out of it- hes 7. I also know that 300 mill isn't too bad but I'm saving up for my next armor set so I don't' wanna spend it." She used a few more skills on the Dragon and it was one hit from dead when the cut scene came on. The room was being circled with the camera and it finally zoomed in on the dragon who looked utterly exhausted and near dead. "I have underestimated you young adventurers...However Killing me will only help you on the last puzzle to this challenge. Good luck." She placed a well aimed arrow just over his left eye into hits brain. It gave a squeak noise then collapsed. "Finally... Dumb thing was just distracting us." Climbing up onto the dragon's back she looked around to seeing anytime click open however she smiled," Here we go, the door is just past his tail here... Only I'm betting to say by the look of the door we have to do a blood ritual, maybe with his blood. " She more than expected him to know what that was since he was so high leveled. They had to cut up the dragon's body and get covered in its blood then they could go threw the door. She had however given him a swift and painless execution because she hated killing things in a bad way even on a game. She sighed then began the cutting, it didn't take long before she herself was covered and she stood by the door and it began to glow faintly, she waited on him. Glancing at her phone It was getting close to 6,"After this mission an maybe a bit of restocking I need to go- My friend needs a ride for work. Alright?"

Layfon was listening to Monica, a content little smile on his face. Her last name sounded familiar to him and he frowned for a moment but it returned back to a smile within seconds. He would figure it out later, he was sure of it. So, she was a university student and had and older sister. That was pretty cool, he had to admit. He just hoped that she wouldn’t think less of him for not going to university. He didn’t really work and the only schooling he had ever attended was a primary education back in his home land. Well, unless you counted Briony’s attempt at making him read historical texts and the like. Layfon had complied, but he didn’t like the homework his so called ‘brother’ had given him. When she asked for more information about him, he complied, figuring that it wasn’t a big deal. He would just tell her things off the bat that many rumors could take care of. Also, if she didn’t like the stuff about him, she could walk away now and neither of their feelings would really be damaged. Layfon would only be a bit disappointed. “My name is Michael Hayes-“ He began mimicking her introduction in a way, though it was in a much quieter tone. “I am a bisexual party rat that hasn’t attended a second of college in my life. I have two older brothers, which you already know and I can swim at a professional level.” Layfon quirked an eyebrow at her and a smile. He hoped that Monica wasn’t someone that would blow him off for being ‘uneducated.’ “Oh, and my oldest brother makes me read college texts books since I wouldn’t let him send me off to college.” He rolled his eyes and he looked around, finding that they were now in front of the store he had been headed for. He stopped in front to see what her reaction would be. If she wanted to go off on her own than he would understand. His mind was nagging at him, something seemed important. Since she had given her last name, he had thought that she looked familiar as well. Not entirely, but….”Wait a minute; your sister isn’t a reporter journalist lady is she?” He questioned, a curious expression on his features. This was a little worrisome. If she told any of what he just said to her sister and her sister wrote about it, Briony would have his head on a platter. It really wasn’t anything more than your basic scandal, but they didn’t want to be any more in the lime light than they already were. People wondered why they bothered if they hadn’t wanted public attention. Despite the media risk, it was safer this way if the queen had spies in this world. They could protect themselves better if they had the assets to do so. ~~~ “I am sure your brother will. Mine just likes to act like a child.” He joked and smiled when she mentioned buying armor. Since she hadn’t asking him in any way, shape, or form for money he figured he would make a nice offer. “Is your birthday or Christmas closer? I’ll get you that skill book as a present if you behave well until then.” He offered while teasing at the same time. He found that it was much easier to semi-flirt over a com call than in person. There wasn’t any pressure and both parties knew that pretty well nothing would come of it, for the most part. “I hate blood rituals.” Rowan groaned after she had killed the beast and started covering herself in blood that she had gotten from cutting him. “I mean, especially on a dragon like this. Wouldn’t its blood be poisonous?” He rolled his eyes and began covering himself from the cuts that his partner had already made. After he was covered, he walked over to the semi-glowing door. When he was there it flashed a bright light and it opened. “Oh, what time is it?” He questioned, though mainly to himself. Glancing at his phone, he saw a missed call from Briony and cringed-he was going to hear about that later. It was almost six, meaning he would have to start getting ready soon himself. “I didn’t realize it was getting this late. I also have an obligation I need to attend to soon so it isn’t a bit deal.” He explained, smiling though she couldn’t see it. ~~~ Briony glanced at his watch and let his head slam into the back of his chair. He had a little more than a half an hour until he was supposed to be home. At this rate, he wasn’t going to get done until then and it would be hell trying to drive home. Sighing, he got up and walked out of his office, stopping in front of a desk outside, Bridget sitting at it. “I need to get home by six forty-five at the latest.” He said in a basic statement as the blonde woman looked up and frowned some. “I don’t know how possible that will be, sir.” She said in the nicest tone she could. The girl felt bad for her boss, which was obvious by her expression. “But, I can file all your papers which might let you leave in fifteen minutes. Traffic will still be bad though.” She added, offering a smile. Briony nodded and tapped the desk with his fingers. “That would be lovely. I’ll take you out to lunch this Friday as thanks.” He thanked her and offered her a prize for her work. She only smiled and nodded, shooing Briony off to get his work done as quick as possible. She was a loyal and good worker, Briony was glad she worked for him.

Monica felt a bit of satisfaction when she found that he was going to give her more information about him. However his description was quite honest. Should she have expected anything less? So Micheal Hayes identified himself as a partier and really good swimmer. Gender wasn't an issue as far as his relationships went, explained the sales guy at the movie place, and he had no further education than what was required. Oh and he was rich, due to the name. So, what exactly would she think about all of that? Well, being bisexual wasn't a problem, well being that he wasn't some kind if sex fiend. Being a party rat was a bit of a toss up but mostly because of the drugs that got involved with a lot of city parties. And he didn't go to college, but that didn't make him a dumb ass. One didn't keep the kind of money they did and seem to have a brother that cares about their education without learning something. So far she didn't hear anything that made him sound like any less of an okay guy. But when he asked her about her sister, she got a bit worried. She didn't think her sister was famous or anything. So what connection did he have to her? "Uh yeah, she works for Futures. Why? Do you know her?" She said a bit confused. Though she was a bit worried. Did this mean that Sophie was hanging out with the Hayes family? Or just Micheal? And how? ----- "And make sure you at least mention the Nova Energy source." "Yes sir." "And make sure you get enough without being too pushy." "Yes sir." "And Sophie, be a dear and make a good impression for us." Sophie looked to Conners and gave a small smile. It was confident smile, though it was obvious she was a bit nervous. Who wouldn't be? "Yes Mr. Conners. I'll have the draft in to you by tomorrow evening." She shook out her nerves and quickly made her way out of the office. She shot Susanna a text and hoped she got it soon. In the mean time she looked herself in the mirror of her compact as she looked herself over. She looked put together with her hair styled and her dress shirt and pants still looking pressed and presentable. She just hoped that she could be at least a little more professional than she had been the other night.

"Are you kidding me?! Really?! Stop jerking my ears." She said using a basic slang term from the game since Elfs have rather tall hears on this game. Hearing her phone go off she looked t it as the screen transferred them to the main quest start back in town by the new quest admin that was added. Reading the text she grunted," Crap- I got to go... Friend is ready to head off to her worky thingy... We should do this again.See ya later hayzy."She said in a flirty tone then disconnected adn turned her tv and system off and threw on her shoes on the way out the door avoiding her mother. Speeding in her usual form she made it to her office building in due time and called Sophine telling her she was there and to hurry down. Sitting about she sighed, turning down her music,s he was so excited to tell her about her new gaming partner, he was prefect.

“Don’t let her write about anything I just said or Oliver will have my head on a platter!” He said in a bit of a loud whisper, worry in his eyes. It disappeared almost instantly though and he smiled. “She is interviewing my family tonight in-,” He paused and pulled at his phone to check the time. Instantly he blanched and looked up at Monica, eyes wide. “Shit. I have thirty minutes and I have to be there before she gets there.” He looked incredibly concerned now. He didn’t give her a chance to say anything and grabbed her hand, dragging her into the store. “Quick! Help me find a proper outfit.” He made his way to the most expensive items and began looking around like a whirlwind, hoping Monica would do the same. He paused for a moment, his mind working overtime, and walked over to the girl. “Did you drive here?” He questioned, a ludacris thought flashing through his mind. ~~~ Stop jerking my ears? Rowan just shook his head at that, his eyes trained on the long pointed ears of the elves. His weren’t near that ridiculous. If he had earls like that, they would be impractical. That being said, he didn’t have just slight points. They got back to where they had started back in town and Rowan was just about to ask her a question when she said she had to go. She disconnected before he could even say by. “Hayzy?” He said out loud with a confused expression but then he smirked. Whatever. Getting up, he logged off and shut everything down, putting his Bluetooth mic on his computer desk. He went to his closet and pulled out a clean red shirt and a pair of black slacks that had a matching black sports coat. He wasn’t going to go all out formal, but he knew Briony wanted them looking like they could go to a fancy restaurant. Changing into the outfit, he made sure that it wasn’t wrinkled and any hairs were gone. Clearing his throat, he went to the bathroom and messed with his hair till it looked better than a mess of brown fluff. Checking the time, he smiled. ~~~ Briony was not nearly in the same mood as Rowan. In fact, he was probably more stressed than Layfon thought he was. He tapped the steering wheel impatiently as the stop and go traffic had him locked in place. He hated traffic and he hated cars right now. Where he was from, he could have just ran past them all, but no. He had to be proper and sit in his car and wait like every other bloody person who wanted to get home. He took a deep breath to try and clam himself down. He hated being late but he couldn’t get home in a tizzy and yell at the poor journalist when she asked him something he didn’t want to answer now could he.

Monica's brow furrowed at his prior comment about not telling Sophie anything about what he had told her. With that worried look, did he actually believe she would run back to her sister like a little loud mouth? It irked her a little but she hardly had time to voice anything. He mentioned she was interviewing them and Monica's previous feelings on his request eased some. He should be worried if Sophie was getting on their case with questioning. The girl was determined and relentless when it came to her writing. As soon as he had filled her in, he was pulling her into the store and off to search for something to wear. She was a bit frazzled but she quickly turned without much thought and grabbed one of the first of the pant colors she was drawn to. It was the same for the shirts. She was comparing and looking over two shirts over the two pants she had on an open rack, when he asked her if she drove there. Her brows furrowed a bit as she turned to look at him. "No, I took a taxi." She said, seeing as her car was currently back at her college campus being used by a friend. Quickly shaking off the odd question she gestured to her out fit compilations. On the left was a pair of gun metal grey colored pants and an aquatic blue shirt, and on the right was a dark blackish blue pair of pants with a white-ish blue shirt. "Here are the pants I found. I picked a color or two so that you could see the difference you'd need to apply for either, also because blue seems to suit you in a way--Anyways, the dark will need a light complimented color and the lighter can have a dark paired with it. To your liking at all?" She asked, the girl intuition coming out in her voice. She was confident in clothing and she was sure he knew how to dress himself nicely. She was just offering her opinion since she knew that he would have a hell of a time getting back home before traffic slowed him down. ~~~ Sophie smiled when Susanna arrived and went to meet up with her. She paused when she felt beside her and saw that she had forgotten her file for the interview. "Ooops!" She ran back up the stairs and quickly slipped into the office. She went to her desk and passed by Conners office. She could hear him arguing with someone but the voices were too muffled for her to really hear who it was or what they were talking about. Not that it mattered, she had somewhere to be. She rushed over to where she left the file and quickly scurried back down the stairs and into Susanna's car. "Thanks so much for dealing with all this. I swear I'm getting a car sooner or later, once my next 100 paychecks come in." She joked lightly before raising a brow at her friends happy mood. "Let me guess, the game session went really well?"

"100? Jeez your still that broke, I'm glad I don't ask for gas money. OMG! It went so amazing! We even got the Steel Poison dragon on the quest- not that you know what that even is but any how we killed it and he offered to buy me something expensive on there and it was just- just- he was perfect. If only he was real. Even his little username was cute...Fire~Hayes.... sounds adorable. Don't cha think so?" She rambled as they went to the building where the Hayes's brothers lived. Parking the car she got out with Sophie and went to the elevator," I'm totally going wit you. I'm not sitting in this car alone for god knows how long." Before she had left she made she was decent and respectable looking with a knee high high skirt with no skulls on it and a nice white button down blouse-Thought hats what she had been gaming in since she figured dress now leave later.
