Notes No, This is all wrong- Why aren't you gone? Don't listen to me- we'll always be so perfectly happy... The lies you succumb to blissfully unaware- I don't know how you can't see threw my facade...
Loneliness is our only friend | Life, Lies, Betrayl The sky was dark, the ground coated in a bright coat of fresh snow. No boot prints to yet sully its smooth exterior. Hoarkers hoarked by the lake half frozen over near by. It was chillier then usual today as he took his first steps off the bridge towards Winterhold. He had been there many times but on College business, never his own. Atrious had been at the mages college for a long while-about 100 years or so now. Nothing changed- mages came and went- the young turned gray. He didn't change much however he was always in the library reading a new Conjuration book, working to improve his skills. He had out read every book they had and even a few of the Arch mages personal books. They said they could be of no more help to him. His Conjuration skill was higher then they had seen any ones that was recorded. His other skills however lacked, he was even worse at weapons but a staff he was proficient at since it went along with his Conjuration magic. Buildings here and there were destroyed, snow draped over it, like trying to cover up the past. It was the wreckage from when Alduin tried to take down the college, he failed however. Having been a barrier constructed, it ended up destroying the town more then the college. Atrious walked threw a few allies towards the main building left there, the inn,The frozen hearth inn. He shook his head a how simplistic it was as he entered enjoying the sudden wall of heat that hit him. It was better then the bitter wind that was biting this morning. Looking around he was a minstrel and an old warrior, both looking groggy since it was still early. Walking around towards the bar he nodded a greeting to the inns keeper. The woman there was getting food for the few residents as he stood at the counter. The younger girl smiled at him asking If he wanted to rent a room for the night, Shaking his head lightly he declined. "Have you heard any rumors?" The girl looked at him then around the bar. Leaning in she told him about the few new rumors about dragons that were showing up around Skyrim and that the Grey beards had put out a call for the Dragonborn. He hadn't heard much about the dragon born since they hadn't been around since ancient times. He didn't think it was too important however that these old men he had never heard of putting out a call for these ancient beings. It wasn't like they were even around any more so they were pretty much wasting their time in his book. Thanking her for her time he got himself a bowl of stew and some hard brown bread with it to eat before he ventured out again. It was still early when he left towards Windhelm. He had a small lead that he could get a few more advanced books from a mage there. It was a far fetched rumor but he was hoping for the best. It would take a few days but at least the weather was going to get warmer. hew as thinking perhaps if his funds got low he could trade some of his winter gear to some traveling khajiit for some coin. If one was caught off guard they could get ripped off pretty good however he found that it didn't seem unreasonable of an idea. If one was stupid enough to carry all their money why not take them for what they are worth? Being distrusted himself for being an elf he understood their way of life. Take what you could get where you could get it. |

the silence of the wood that surround Riften was disrupted by the sounds of crashing brush and heavy steps. Clattering armor joined by shouts echoed behind a a running female elf who darted through the foliage as if it were nothing. She laughed to herself at the clumsy little humans fumbling to catch her. The oafs would be at this till sundown, if she decided to play with them till then. "Get back here sneak thief!" One armor clad man shouted and the young girl gave the voice a light bell like chuckle. "Attone for your crimes coward." She slammed to a halt her head wiping in the soldiers direction. The men came to a sudden halt, taking rank around her like wolves closing in on a rabbit. She gave the man who voiced her as a coward a very deadly look, her lip twitched into a sneer. "Prove me a coward, scum. I bet I can beat you to Oblivion and back." She smiled, almost seductively at the man as she leaned a little forward. Her clothing was...well designed and made for mobility and made for the modern Khajiit woman. Khajiits were known as free spirits and elvish confidence allowed them the bodies to pull it off. Nords called her whorish, she called them bitter. The man her eyes were trained on frowned at her, pointing his sword at her to threaten her. "You're threats will not frighten me . Strike me if your so brave.." She smirked straightening and reaching for the bow on her back. "Alright...only because you asked..." Before her hand could land on her bow, three men were dropped by daggers to the heart and the rest swiftly delt with by the thieves hidden in the shadows of the trees. The only one left standing was the man that called her a coward, who looked round him like a startled faun. "Not so tough now are ya, Stormcloak?" She mused, drawing his attention so she could plant her arrow right between his eyes. -------- The Bee and Barb was lively as ever with the ranting and merriment of the citizens of Riften. All joined together, thief and commoner, Argonian and Nord, even Khajiits could be found in the mix of it all, though they hardly belonged there. They were a group of traveling traders, salesman from far away lands that settled here in Skyrim for a chance at extra coin. They made their mark here, even if Nords hated them, and were hell of a lot more popular amongst the citizens of Riften. The young elf took notice of this as she sauntered over to the table where the Khajiits had taken up their seats. Her lips pulled into a smile, happy to hear they weren't being cursed at or threatened by these people...it warmed her heart quite a bit, almost as much as a nice mead would. She hugged a Khajiit make from behind, round his neck with a bubbly giggle. "Hello Ramma, miss me?" She laughed, nipping his ear as was customary amongst Khajiit of the same pack. He gave the young elf a growl, snatching her by her hair and forcing her to sit next to him. She let out a squeak though it wasn't one of fear. Khajiit were rough with one another and she could handle it. After all she was raised with them. When seated she felt the heat of his glare. Ramma was the leader of the group, respected amongst even the elders of his village. She often got on his nerves, but this time he seemed genuinely pissed. "Where have you been, Neve?" He growled and she gave him a coy look, just to mess with him. "Out...but I brought gifts." She tossed the bag of coins on the table. He released her hair and began digging through the coins like a starving man to food. Khajiits always had a soft spot for shinny trinkets like coin. Neve didn't particularly take to coin like the others did, she much preferred the thrill of receiving it. "How did you get all this?" Another Khajiit in her pack asked and she smiled proudly. "I aided the thieves in their endeavor and they rewarded me handsomely..." She felt Ramma's eyes on her and she knew he was getting ready to nag, "I told you not to get involved with them, you little blonde demon." He snarled tossing the coins on the table. "We are Khajiit! We do not except blood money, as you elves seem so inclined to do." Neve's crystal blue eyes narrowed, her temper flaring at the stark separation Ramma was using for her. She had always been different from Khajiits she knew she wasn't of their species and neither did she want to be. She was a proud elf....even if she was apparently half filthy Nord. That's what Ramma and the others told her anyways. Not that she remembered much. She woke up in the middle of a Khajiits camp after being found unconscious at the foot of a mountain, badly injured and half starved... They said it was impossible for an elf to have such pale skin, blue eyes and white hair, which Ramma claimed was just sun bleached blonde. Apparently no other elves shared her features either, rounded yet angular. Whatever, she always blew it off as if it were nothing. Her past heritage didn't matter...or so she told herself. But Ramma's words stung a bit, to the point she rose and shouted loudly, "A round of the finest Honeybrew Mead on me." The inn rose in volume with cheers and she looked to Ramma, her eyes taking on a sarcastic playfulness. "Then I'll give the blood money away." The other Khajiits looked to one another and then to their mutt brethren. They liked Neve, for her bravery and will, but sometimes she pushed boundaries a bit too far. She didn't know how blood thirsty Ramma could become when truly angered. Ramma however didn't strike out at her like she was fishing for, instead he raised his cup and showed her a toothy grin. "Fine, Neve. I'll enjoy the spoils..." She sniffed at him and sauntered away to the bar to get her own mead. This was going to be long night of dealing with her pack, then she needed a good drink if she wanted to be social.

Atrious sighed, his legs stiff, butt sore . He had been in the saddle way to long today however he knew he was no where near his destination yet. He needed to ride a few more hours in order to make it there in good time, however he was thinking of finding a place to settle down for the night at however his first choice was well off limits. It was a prominent Nord town, being half elf and atronarch he wasn't very welcome how ever he looked more Nord then elf. His ears were still pointed but it was t visiae unless you had your hands in his hair. He had long hair braided into two long wrapped Strands in the back, for convinience though he liked his long hair, both color he got from his parents. The blond from his father and the black from his mother. He didn't mind that only his eyes were also an indication of being a mixed breed, one was green the other a silver- almost black. Most over looked it because he was a Mage, since he carried his staff he had acquired from his fathers items along with a detailed note about his past and where his parents went. He hates him for the longest time how ever he out grew it and just practiced with the staff. Many peoe associated him with dark conguration magics since he had a dragon predates staff, as the arch Mage had explained it.

Neve ran ahead of the pack her long skirt catching the wind as she toyed with the grass at her feet. Finally after a long night I partying and relaxing they were back on the road again. That's where she liked to be, wandering and not stuck in one place. She had an issue with familiarity, mostly because she didn't have much of it left in her. Her past was one big blur and none of it made sense. Here and there she got blips, sometimes full blown dreams that seemed as real as if she were there. Mostly though it was all just a bunch of nonsense not even their medicine woman, Kuyalla couldn't even decipher. She gave up on her past and decided to forge ahead to her future, where she could become a strong warrior, powerful and rich beyond imagine. And she wasn't too far off either. She was pretty awesome with a bow and she already had her strength and stamina bred into her. All that was left was the wealth....okay and maybe a bit more training. She glanced back at Ramma, who was still hungover from the mead she gave him. Stupid old fur ball couldn't hold his liqueur. He was still angry with her, as his mate Enya told her, but Neve couldn't really care all that much. She was still mad with him about making a jerky comment about her anyways. They made it to the city gates in time for their allotted check before they could leave. Neve, not really paying attention, didn't realize the Stormcloaks staring at her. "You there!" One called, making her look at him with a raised brow. "Me?" She asked innocently, only pissing the guard off further.neve noticed then that she was surrounded on all sides. "There is a bounty on your head elf." She smirked but did take a step back towards her pack. "Screw you, I've done nothing wrong." She felt Ramma tense near her and there were a few growls exchanged. The Khajiits were always one to back a brother, if there was reason to. "You lying whore, you murdered my brother with that type of arrow!" One snarled and she gave him a defiant and quite catty look. "Well if he hadn't been so weak he might have stood a Vance. You should all learn to put your coin where your bravery is." She sneered only throwing the emotions already heating up in to a frenzy. One guard lunged at her and she threw him over her shoulder another came at her and she went to punch him but another grabbed her arms. In only moments they decended on her, grabbing her and throwing her to the ground. She snarled and shrieked obsinities at them, she even busted someone's knee cap with a solid kick to it. Her eyes flashed above her, to her pack that was just standing there looking fearfully at her. Her eyes then drifted to Ramma, the Khajiit now holding a full bag of coin. Her face contorted in anger as she was hauled to her feet by the guards "You bastard!" She hissed only to see him smirk. "I'm just enjoying the spoils..." He snickered right before all went dark for Neve.

When he came across the camp he sighed with relief when he saw a warm fire. Getting off his horse he came forward, a tall Nord looking at him a bit doubtful but curious. " what do you want?" Atrious paused the answered the Nord," To share your fire brother, and a place to sleep." The Nord looked him over noting his ability via the staff, frowning a bit he agreed but only if he left the staff off of him while around them. Nodding in agree ment he put it in his horses saddle as he unsaddled it and dragged it close to the fire to lean against since he tethered the horse up next tho the nords. " Thank you. What brings you out this way east?" He asked in a curious polite tone, as he dug for some jerky and some bread. The Nord took a drink of his mead, a few others scoffed aT his ignorace leaving the other one to answer the question. " mining camp. " he said simply. The. Emptying his cup he stood up and we t to bed. A few stayed up a bit the. Wandered off to bed he however slept by the fire. Feeling some one rootin around three his saddle bags he shot up Wake and had his star pointed at them. Well her, she was alright looking but not his type for sure. " what are you doing with my things theif!?" He called at her, she hurriedly dropped a feet hinge and fled to another tent he However went hell when she reamerged crying and sobbing looking hurt. A mans arms about her, his face angry and pointed at him," you raped my wife you sick little fuck! You are gonna pay for doing this!" He yelled bringing out others from the camp out to watch the new bait he saturnine him into.

Neve woke with a sore frame, her entire body aching from the gods only knew how long he had been lying in the back of this cart. She slowly tried to sit up but ended up falling back down when the cart rocked on the rough terrain. She anticipated hitting hard wood, instead she landed on something soft and firm. Her eyes flicked upward to find she wasn't the only one in this barred cart. Here he lay in the lap of a male that looked just as rough as the wood itself. His skin was dark brown as was his hair and eyes and his ears were pointed, placing him as an elf of some sort. "Careful, you'll hurt yourself." The male elf warned and she gave him a slight raise of her brow. "I promise you I've felt worse." She told him as she rose slowly but surely again. She winced as a pain shot through her head and she recoiled from the light pouring in from the slats in the bars. What the hell was up with this coursing pain in her head? "Poison, paralytic. They used it to get you in here...you must have raised hell for them." She smirked though her anger slipped into her look. How dare they poison her! Cowards couldn't take her without it. She huffed and glanced back at her new elf informant. Did he know where they were? "Where are we?" He looked at her with a slight unease. Obviously he wasn't all too sure himself. "Somewhere near Windhelm..." She nearly chocked on her breath. That was almost three day journey from Riften. He noticed her shock and did little to hide his own fears from his face. She glanced round her and saw trees and mountain ranges. She caught sight of a Stormcloak and gulped. This wasn't good. "Wh-Where are they taking us?" "I...I don't know..." He said, his voice faltering into a whisper.

Atrious wasn't sure what happened besides he was being Daley accused of something he would never do. He was blue in the face denying the charges saying she was robbing him and no Nord was having it. " your not listening to logic here Nord!" He finally yelled at him. When calling him Nord instead of brother they knew he wasn't normal. They drew their weapons, they were already really close so he knew he had no good change to fight since he was a ranged fighter not a hand combat one. Picking up his staff he swung it at them, forcing hem back- at the small space he muttered a speed spell and congured up a small shock feild so if any one got close while he was running away they would be shocked. Jumping on his horse- not enough time to bother with his saddle he got out of there. He was closer to his secondary stop by the time he slowed his horse down. He was exhausted still no having slep well so he stopped t an inn. There he got a room and even a pretty Nord girl offered to keep him company. That made him smile since he did like himself some good company. ( later that evening) the pretty Nord girl had brown eyes, long brown hair and not a bad face. She was running her fingers threw his hair , her hands covering his ears occasionally but he didn't mind as long as she didn't pay too close attention to his ears with slight points. She giggled until her ring got caught in his hair then she apologized as she tried to untangle it only to find that his ears were indeed pointed. Her eyes got wide and she glared at him," filthy trick! Elf! There's a filthy elf!" She screeched. She burst out of the room- half dressed but not really caring a out it. She was screeching about him being an elf and such and he was just focusing on getting his clothes on and his things together. He burst out the door and jumped over one Nord who went for him. Running hard for the door he was t expecting a storm cloak troop just out side the door. Slamming into the breast plate of the man he looked up holding his head. His look was very surprised that the Nord was smilin at him as he grabbed him around his shoulders and forced him to the floor. He heard the others telling him about false nasty accusations they were throwing at him and demanded for them to take him away. The storm cloaks only agreed sayin they had some other elves who didn't know their place so he was happy to take them in. The next thing he heard was his own voice since he was kicked in the back of the head with a booted foot- black and pain spreading threw his head.

"Get up!" Neve glared up at the Stormcloak soldier. She was beginning to look scruffy, her hair matted and dark circles under her eyes. She could feel the grime on her face and the sweat pooling in her clothes, causing them to smell. They had stopped for air, or so that's what the soldiers had said. Thy didn't want their prisoners dying before they could do the honors after all. Currently the bastards were making them bathe, not that she was opposed to being clean. She just opposed to getting in the freezing Nordic river they were forcing them into. "No." She snipped, receiving an angry scoff. "Look at it, the dirty little heathen thinks its too good to clean. Well missy how about I help you, princess." He reached for her and quite quickly she darted out of reach of his hands. She was about to bring her heel down on his head but suddenly her friend, Eldus the wood elf, had her by the arm. "Come along, Neve. Sorry sirs for her insolence." She went to sneer something a him but he quickly dragged her from the area and to the river. "I can handle myself!" She told him, making Eldus scoff. "If I leave you alone you'll be killed before we can even be to the end of this trip." She bit her lip, not wanting to argue but feeling angry enough to shout. She felt the helplessness in her heart that she was trapped. She didn't like it at all. Eldus saw her grief and simply gave her a pat on the shoulder, since he knew she wouldn't want pity. "Come, get cleaned up. Ill make sure the soldiers are away."

When he woke up he was being being dragged along on a horses back- his horse to be honest and tied face down. Frowning he tried to move but a heavy hand came to him, his horse coming to a halt and a his head was jerked up to look into the dimming light. " got our own little pretty boy! Look at him looks like a Nord he does, but his ears are just like his im feed mothers! Pointed filth!" The Nord announced. Taking that moment to look around him he saw more elves some more familiar then others. Some were wood elves, a dark elf or so- but a few were odd looking. "Let me go please." He tried their hearts but he was sure it would fail. Being untied he was dragged and grown in with a group that looked kinda wet like they had been put to dry. He had blood from a small ur on his forehead but other the that he looked like his usual self only a little tired.

Neve tugged her hair with her fingers as she made her way back from the river. Her clothing was too wet to really function so she simply held it, having taken Eldus's shirt. The man was proper really, even blushing when she approached him and asked for it. She found no harm in allowing him to see her since he had been kind this far. She felt eyes on her as she made her way up to the others in the group, mostly because she was the only female out if all the elves, not including a female Argonian that was thrown into the bunch a town back. "Neve, you really should take care more to have at least a little demur." Eldus said when he noticed the sway to her hips. She gave him a look that was coy and also slightly on the teasing side. "Why would I? Does my confidence bother you men that terribly?" She gave him a light bump of her hip before she approached the first line of Stormcloak men. One got the guts to grab her ass, only eliciting a very veracious snarl from her. She cocked her fist back and hit him square in the mouth. "You sick perverted bastard--I'll snap your hand of at the wrist!" She hissed going for the mans face but the other guards had her. They snatched her back quickly slapping irons on her wrists and pinning her to a tree. She was spitting curses at them no woman should and was writhing in their grips for a chance to hit them again. Eldus was being kept away but he didn't look like he could do much to help her. She finally gave in and they released her, leaving her chained to the tree where she wouldn't cause trouble . She huffed her wet hair catching the cold breeze. She bit her lip and brought her legs closer to her, trying to ward off the wind with her already wet and freezing body. She was in no shape to be still like this, I fact she could feel the cold down in her core. Though she hardly hated it, she found the cold a slight comfort, she knew she could freeze to death if not careful. The Khajiit taught her that, after she once played for hours in the snow near Dawnstar.

Sitting up he smiled at a wood elf. " hello. I'm guessing we are being carted off... Lovely... I'm Atrious I'm from the mages college." He introduced him self as he would have to any other person in a normal situation. He was avoiding be a bit peaemistic but he was t the best at it.

Eldus was worried for Neve but she always needed up getting herself into things like that. She was a spit fire and mean when challenged. But her courage was refreshing, more so than the fear his kind felt from their life long oppression. Eldus sighed and went back to his seat by the others only to be addressed by a fair faced man. Eldus was confused by him, mostly because his face appeared so...well Nord. But by the way he acted however, not revolting at the sight of elves, he assumed he was one of their own. No matter how odd looking, like Neve. "Greetings, though I hardly find it a lovely trip.." He said offering him a light smile to be cordial. "The name is Eldus of Falkreath. I take it you were dragged off, wrongly accused or such rather." He said as he looked ahead. He thought about his own punishment, stuck here because he hunted on an imperial camps grounds. They turned him over to the Falkreath guard for treachery, under the assumption he was attempting to massacre the guard there with a hunting knife and bow. Of all the nonsense...

Atrious smiled at the soda humor. " Indeed, I was accused to rape, theif, and just being an elf... Well half elf." He said moving his hair out of the way to show his slightly pointed ear. Also I don't look like a full Nord because I'm not... My father was a bit of a strange elf." He said thinking about his mother and all but he sighed as he thought o a few spells he did know by heart a d thought about what could help him right now. His mind preoccupied he looked about findin a female elf chained to a tree. She didn't lol. Dangerous of anything," hey might I ask why she is chained up?" He asked curiously To the woodland elf.

Eldus gave the man--well elf--a nod though it was a weird look. He was still an odd creature even if he was an elf, a Mage to boot. He was wrongly accused perhaps but it was his toll to pay for putting himself in harms way with taking company with Nords and Stormcloak areas. "That's quite the list. Sorry man." He said then looked in Neve's direction. Her hands were behind her and the chain was looped round a root to make sure she stayed in place. Her eyes were on the horizon up to the snow peaks like she saw something there. "Leave her be. She's trouble, that one." He said before the Stormcloaks came by with old bread and cheese for the group. "Eat or starve. This is your last meal for the next three days prisoners." The man said before making a turn for where Neve sat. He tossed her bread onto the ground out of her reach and she simply gave him a look. Eldus shook his head and shoved half his bread into his pocket despite his shivering. He was going to have to get the girl to eat later. "I hear we're headed west." An elf whispered and the only Argonian scoffed. "West? To where? Windhelm is north of here. They'll execute us there on display like animals..." A younger elf looked freaked out and the Nord of the group was simply silent. Eldus sighed. "It doesn't matter where we go..the outcome must be the same." He huffed nibbling on the molded cheese.

" Trouble or not- and elf is an elf... It's not like we have a choice- here he put the bread in his pocket as well for her- pulling his cheese apart into three peices- making a small triangle. Saying a few words he turned the cheese into three peices of good cheese the mold leaving it like an agin spell. They were all the same size now- large enough to fill him with. He ate one and put the other two in his pocket, motioning for the wood elf to pass him is. " if we do that sparingly I can do this to keep us well off while we are trapt. If we can eat we can fight but we have to stay quiet." He said since the wood elf had seen him he wasn't too sure if he should have done that in the middle of a starved group. If they understood the. They would live, if they didn't the. They would suffer. " I can only use so much mana at a time... You understand I'm sure so I can defend or help escape." He said hoping the f was in- he seemed nice After all
