Katsuo’s careless expression turned to irritated surprise when his wrist was suddenly grabbed. The spark of energy between them let Katsuo know that this person was a witch and he was fishing for trouble. He had been in a fight or two before, but usually not with another magic user since most were terrified of the repercussions of upsetting a member of a prominent family. He looked the grungy little man over, the difference in class obvious alone by how expensive Katsuo’s suit was compared to the leisure wear the man was sporting. Maybe the man was just looking for an excuse to have a fight. But Katsuo found himself curious at just how dangerous that look in his eyes was. Katsuo knew he was this man’s better and would put him in his place if need be, but only after he quelled his interest. “I take it your supposed to be this wrong person? Very poor timing friend.” He smirked lightly before yanking his wrist away, his aura becoming static-like since he was annoyed that his plans were delayed. Despite being unassumingly laid back, Katsuo was a bit OCD on his deadlines. “Also, if I cared who I bothered, life would be awfully stressful, right?” He said as he straightened out his shirt and jacket wrist, looking at August’s face like he was analyzing him before nodding. “I see that you are a clear example of that...Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m running late and frankly you are not worth the time.” He said, turning on his heels, swallowing his anger for something more productive, pissing off this stranger so he could see him back up his threat. ~~~~ “Again.” The barked order rattled Yumino, her body tense and aching slightly from the force of the using so much of her magical energy. Sweat formed on her forehead, which she wasn’t allowed to clear away for fear of losing her stance. Her attention was focused on the glass ahead of her, a cup that her grandmother had placed there full of water. She gave her little to no instruction, just that she was supposed to use her abilities to lift the glass without spilling any water. It sounded easy at first, if Yumino knew the first thing about using force magic. This was a type of offensive magic meant to be very strong and a deference in fighting with others. Most people didn't want to pick a fight with someone able to lift them off the ground or to throw a car at them. Yumino was by no means going to be that powerful. Only her grandmother excelled in it for the family, having learned it from years of study and focus. Even in her cold and hardly caring disposition, her grandmother was a powerful woman worthy of respect that Yumino gave her. Hence why she was trying so hard to impress her at the moment. Yumino gave the glass one final stare before attempting again to force her energy against it. The glass trembled after a few seconds, but didn't lift or move from it's spot.nHer grandmother paced around her, eyes on Yumino like a hawk on a duckling. Her one green eye glowed lightly and the glass floated up and over to her, causing Yumino to have to catch it before it dropped. She blinked at the glass, her eyes flicking to her grandmother, who looked proud of her work. “Control is key. Your ability has potential, but now it is like a violent, uncontrolled force. Seize it and make it count." She gave Yumino space again, this time pacing behind her and out of view, though Yumino knew she was still watching. She gulped and placed the glass down with a trembling hand, knowing that she had to make this count. She took a moment to gather herself, before she turned her eyes directly on the glass. Her expression smoothed in concentration, blue eyes locked on the glass while her hand slowly extended to it. She could feel her powers shifting inside of her, roiling for an excuse to be used full force. She kept it under a lid, sparing it some leeway to extend when she felt comfortable enough. The glass vibrated some, water sloshing but not enough to spill much of it. Yumino's eyes narrowed and tightened the control over the energy she was letting out, almost able to see the tendrils of energy in her minds eye that were wrapping around the glass. She smiled briefly at it, realizing she was getting somewhere. In her glee, she tried to make the energy move upwards, but things didn't go as planned. Instead the glass exploded, sending a spray of water and glass over the room. Yumino yipped, backing up and covering her face to avoid the little shards. To her surprise, she received a laugh from behind her. She turned with wide eyes, as if expecting it to be her usually stoic grandmother, but instead it was Hiko. He was in his business attire, looking well groomed and put together from no doubt a council meeting. He looked handsome, though the sight of the gold band on his finger made her stomach churn. Her face scrunched slightly into an annoyed look, one that made Hiko's lips tighten over a smile. "Sorry, Hana. Your surprise was cute." Yumino blushed a bit, but not for the reasons he assumed. She was embarrassed anyone saw her mess up, especially her best friend. He moved closer to her, taking her hand with no warning, which made Yumino flinch, but instantly calm as if it hadn't happened. She had to put on a good face for her grandmother....She looked up at the old woman and found she was looking silently at the pair, her expression giving away nothing to her thoughts. "Tomorrow we will continue your lesson. Oshiro, I expect her back in full health tomorrow morning." She said, receiving a proper bow from Hiko before she left the room. Yumino blinked, looking to Hiko with a confused look that made her brows pinch. "Back? Where are we going?" Niko smiled at her question before squeezing her hand, his expression almost proud and...somehting was in her eyes that Yumino couldn't place, but it held some sentiments of hope she didn't understand. "We are going to have a date." He said, making her stomach sink but her face turn to a cool mask. She put on a small smile for him and nodded, asking him to take her by her apartment to get ready.

He gave her a tired smile when she teased him about what he ate, however his breath caught when she moved much closer to him. Lips pressed to his, her hands gripping his shirt in such a manner it made him want to not play nice and simply let her do as she pleased. His mind else where when she spoke he knew well and sure the girl was playing with his mind however, he was alright with it, since it got him excited and his blood pumping in his ears. As she pulled away, her eyes on his, saying that she knew exactly what she was doing made a smile slip onto his own lips. "Humm, Sounds delightful. Can't wait." He said with the sort of look of a man who was promised something he secretly wanted. She moved away and went threw the bags, he himself made a cup of coffee and sipped it at the table, watching as Suki worked on making dinner.

August's expression held strong, his defiance ever prominent and he felt his blood begin to rush as he felt the he-witch's eyes on him. As Katsuo took back his wrist, August slowly lowered his hand back to his side, the movement very calculated and he licked his lips. This could be exciting if he played his cards right. This boy was intelligent so he would be unable to just pull a fight from him with no effort. Still, he was a Tsukiyo which meant he had a weakness that they all shared: Their family name. Katsuo's attempt to push August off was quaint and if August had been in a better state of mind, he would have realized he was being a child and left the conversation as it was intended to end. Unfortunately for the Tsukiyo he-witch, he was not. "I see. Are all the males of the Tsukiyo family such cowards that they grovel at the feet of their women making them fight for you or is it just a brat such as yourself?" He spoke with a perfect mocking tone. His eyes had narrowed in a challenge and a grin that could make ice freeze had started to form on August's lips. If that didn't stop the little misfit of a he-witch than he wondered what would work. It did irritate him quite a bit that the boy had tried to blow him off, but he wasn't going to let that deter him. He would make this little bit respect him eventually. He was going to see that he was not the top of the food chain as he might have thought.
~~~
Suki got to work preparing a meal for both her and Adrian. She didn't speak much, just enjoyed herself as Adrian watched her. She did wiggle her rear a little more when she had to bend over to pick up a scrap of food that fell on the floor once or twice. It was quite entertaining to tease him. Eventually the meal was done. She brought it all to the table and sat down, the scent of the food mouth watering.
"I hope you enjoy it." She said simply with a coy grin.
The muscles in Katsuo's back knotted, his shoulders poised up a little and his posture rigid as he came to a sudden halt. He was reeling from the man's words, out of offense sure, but more the fact that the man had the guts to actually say it to him. He must have been an idiot--something wrong in his head if he thought anything good came out of challenging a Tsukiyo. Power level was already one factor, but another big factor was family influence. They could make him disappear with a blink of an eye, destroy whatever family he came from, or make his world a living nightmare...And yet he was challenging him. Katsuo was parts annoyed and parts angry...but part of him was intrigued. He liked things that were interesting, different and powerful. This witch obviously had something to boast about if he was flaunting his anger like this...So why not play a little game? Make the brat regret it, or he would get to have someone new to add to his idiots to destroy list. "I suppose they don't put back water trash in their place like they used to..." He muttered, rolling up his sleeves before turning to face the man. He took in that cold look, the grin there spelling something oddly dark and satisfying for Katsuo. He loved a good mystery and this was turning into something curious...fun even. He offered August a proud look, one that hinted at stoked anger from being called beneath the Tsukiyo women. Half weren't worth the gravel in his shoes..."I see I'm not getting out of this without showing you a lesson from your betters a bit early. Good. You'll need humility for what is to come." He said, making it sound like he was talking about fighting this man when really he hinting at his plans for later. What would this little boy do when the demons fell and the Tsukiyo rose above it all? How he would relish seeing a terrified look on his face when he realized that he had messed with a new god...In time, but first to deal with the situation at hand. Katsuo pushed a bit of his will into a force spell, one that radiated outwards in a rush of energy at the man. It was meant to knock him on his ass, to deter him from pursuing anything else. But Katsuo figured things wouldn't be that easy.
It was actually entertaining to watch her cook for him and he was sure she was making a small show of things along the way. He didn't mind however, quite content with watching her as it was. As she brought things to the table saying she hoped he enjoyed it he gave her a light smile. "If you made it, I will obviously enjoy it." he said complimenting her cooking. He wasn't totally sure what was on her mind still but he figured she would get to what she wanted soon enough with out him prodding her for it. She often didn't take kindly to it, and after the meeting- things were a little too serious for him tense almost.
The smooth sensation of satisfaction rolled through August's body as the Tsukiyo brat stopped mid step. His posture was stiff and when he turned around, facing August, his expression gave away just enough to let the demon prince know he had struck a chord. Fantastic. That was exactly what he had wanted to happen. It was something he found easy as August had never had a problem discovering ones deepest fear or whatever little thing would set off a downward spiral of negative emotions including anger. His father had taught him well in regards to that. One brow quirked upwards as the little he-witch murmured an insult. August supposed in a way, Katsuo was right. The vermin in front of him really had no clue who he was dealing with. He could kill him in an instant and he would have great pleasure in doing so. That wouldn't be good enough though. No, August wanted to see fear in this child's eyes. He would not be fully satisfied until that time came. To see his ego crushed and disintegrated while he knelt before August, begging for his life--the thought alone sent a shiver down his spine. When Katuo faced August head on, his expression proud, August rose his chin in defiance. He would not be looking down on him for long. The he-witch's words were entertaining and infuriating at the same time. How dare the little Tsukiyo brat speak to him of humility! August felt the build up of power about Katsuo and quickly held up his left hand, the energy crashing into a thin barrier he held through sheer will and a store of energy. He grinned, teeth showing and expression looking almost eager. "Humility is something only those below me feel." August stated blatantly before he threw a charge of magical energy straight at Katsuo, a very similar spell to what the he-witch had just used only stronger. He expected the brat to block or dodge. If he didn't, August would almost certainly be disappointed. He walked towards Katsuo, his left hand now outstretched to his side, a buildup of energy beginning to form around it. His hand, slowly being engulfed by a rolling black and purple vapor sent out little shocks of lightning like energy. It was not a low level spell, nor was it one commonly used by witches for if a witch were to use it than very dark magics and blood sacrifices were needed. "Come at me with something more than paltry child's magic."
((Umm, we should make something interesting happen with Adrian and Suki. Me thinks they should start working on his undercover position…Maybe??))
((I'm having Hiko's mom contact your chara Amanda to give you a crash course lesson on everything going on. You game?)) Manami frowned when the text message came through on her phone from another Sohren operative. Seems she was tasked to be instructing the nephew to see if he was cut out for their line of work. She was alright with that in a certain sense. She prided herself on being a friendly face to people and at least being involved in making things run smoothly. She always had the warm motherly air about her, something that many business partners and people within academia were not exactly used to or expected. She looked at the number for a moment that she was sent and gave a quick little smile. Hopefully the poor boy had a strong stomach...She had heard he was young, but what Sohren didn't start their dabbling in science and demons early? They were the dangerous research powerhouse of the magical world after all and the boy would have to learn soon where he fit in in all this. She dialed the number quickly, lifting her smartphone to her ear as the car took her back to the Oshiro summer household. They really lived off the main land, on a small island that was completely controlled by their family and businesses. They used their home in the city for meetings like this or for work, such as what Manami was doing. When she got the voicemail on the phone, she was a bit disappointed but still left a cheerful message for him to contact her again when he could. "Hello, I believe this is the number of Sohren Adrian? This is Oshiro Manami, representative and one of the lead researchers for the Sohren headquarters. I would like to discuss an opportunity that was offered to you thorough your aunt. I believe it will be something you would be interested in...Please contact me at this number when you are available so that we may schedule a meeting. I look forward to meeting you." ~~~ Katsuo's lip twitched when his spell made contact with a barrier instead of the man, his eyes taking in the shattered spell he could vaguely see disintegrating around the man. He didn't take a step back however, his posture however shifted to something more on the defensive, since he now knew this witch was more prepared than he looked. He dodged the energy spell with a bit of grace, the side step he used cornered him against the wall of the building he was by. Katsuo watched him move toward him, gauging his movements and looking for the way to knock this man off guard and to get the advantage. However, the show of static energy around the witches hand and the vapor that permeated around him made Katsuo pause. His eyes widened a bit at it, especially since he hadn't seen any sign that the witch was a dark magic user. Usually they had a distinct smell about them and they looked different from the way the spells took a toll on them. This man seemed perfectly fine...almost overly confident. That left two things, either this was a really powerful and old witch or the alternative--a demon. He struck down the other possibility due to his own knowledge that demons didn't walk the daylight hours. They were confined to circles or their world after the war. So, whatever the case was, Katsuo felt something stir in his chest that he didn't feel often. It wasn't fear, he didn't fear anything. No this was excitement and interest in discovering exactly what he was dealing with here. He let the spell forming in his mind gather energy, the air around him dropping a quite a few degrees lower, showing what preference element his spells took. This one that was more on the defensive side since he really wanted to see exactly what this witch could do. Maybe he could convince Sohren officials to let him pick this one out for their human trails..."Well well aren't you full of surprises?" He said, his breath showing from the cold temperature as ice began crawling up his arm into a make shift armor. "Any change you'd tell me how you manage that...? Now I'm dreadfully curious...You don't seem to be one of those types of degenerates..." He said, his smile coy almost as if he were playing a game rather than a serious fight at the moment. He prefered to keep this light after all. Interests were always just business...
The rush of magic coursed through August. He was eager to prove his superiority to this he-witch. The energies coiling in his outstretched hand tingled and licked and caressed his flesh in a comfortingly familiar manner. He saw that the arrogant bastard before him was cornered, his back to a wall but as August continued to step towards the witch, he could feel the temperature dropping. His breath became visible in little vaporous puffs as his skin prickled with chill. It excited him as ice began to climb upon his opponent, the defensive ice elemental spell typical of a Tsukiyo. His grin didn't leave his lips as the words uttered by the male across from him brought forth a stronger desire to destroy or at the very least maim. He clicked his tongue in disapproval and halted his advance with a dangerous amusement dancing behind his eyes. Barely was he able to keep their blue shade as his true color was trying to burst forth. "Now, now. That wouldn't be very becoming of me to give away all of my secrets. Did your mother never tell you that curiosity killed the cat." August's tone was smooth and he emphasized the third to last word with a near purr of its pronunciation. He brought his hand up towards his face, the dangerous power about him flickering and rolling about his appendage as thought it was a alive. His tongue poked out from between his teeth and a bolt of static from the energy broke away, stinging him. It made him shiver and grin even more. "Your eyes seem to be sharp boy, but let us see how your reflexes compare." August spoke and quickly shot his hand forward, the bolt of energy going forth towards the he-witch. It was powerful and pungent, able to strip flesh from bone and elicit a shock to anything that wasn't able to be blocked. August was curious to see how this boy would react and he quickly put up a defensive posture before moving forward again in an attempt to punch the he-witch across the jaw. Generally magic users stuck with magic but August wasn't very honorable.
Katsuo's brows furrowed at the taunting tone the witch took, especially the comment about cats dying for being curious. No, the curious only died when they were foolish and stubborn in their ways. He was adaptable, strong, and leagues smarter than the rest. It's what turned his ambitious goals to realities, especially with the new progress being made in their research on demons. Hence why the aura and power of this witch interested him, enough so that he thought it might be interesting to bring him in to study, alive preferably. When the static was thrown his way, Katsuo threw down his arm, ice flowing from his arm to the ground in a twisting column. He jerked back, allowing the electricity to flow down the column, causing it to melt and spray ice shards. He blocked his face with his arm, a luckier move when a fist came flying at his jaw. His arm caught the hit, not exactly deflecting since it hurt like hell, but it gave him enough time to knock the hand away and throw a kick at August's unblocked side of his torso. He felt his arm give a sharp pain, telling him that he fractured something, but that was nothing Haruka couldn't fix. "I see you like to play dirty. That will earn you few friends." He said his eyes averting to the side as he began to factor in a way out of this. He needed out, since he hardly had the advantage here. Eventually he would slip up and with these powerful spells he was due to take on a lot of damage from this seemingly odd creature.
August was disappointed when the he-witch blocked his fist. He saw the kick and ended up taking it fully force to the side. Air flew out of him as he rolled to the ground and ended in a crouched position, looking up with a dangerous confidence. His body was weakened by the sun and it irritated him to no end. Something had crunched when the boy's foot had connected with his side, most likely a rib. He was getting tired of those breaking. If he was in his true form at night, August would have loved to have seen this witchy witch grovel as he realized his powers were useless against a true being of magic. “Friends are not something one needs at the top. They only drag you down with them.” August replied and then smiled, his teeth glinting as he stood. “Then again, I feel you might have a similar sentiment. Not that it will matter soon.” He alluded to the fact that he was planning on keeping the Tsukiyo brat from amounting to anything and he was fully planning on hurting this boy before he was finished. August took a deep breath through pursed lips and raised one hand, loosely pointing in the direction of his target. This spell was probably overkill, but he really did want to make a point after all. Wind began to blow back August's hair and pull at his clothes, the temperature chilled and damp. He was concentrating hard on the spell when he was disturbed by a shrill sounding male voice.
“You will cease and desist all magical activities at once or we will be forced to make you!” It was a fat, old police officer, a gun like object in his hand, pointed at August. There was a younger female with him whose gun was pointed at the Tsukiyo he-witch and she looked nervous. August's anger was still flared and he had trouble reeling it in, especially when he was being interrupted. He growled in frustration and the hand that was pointing at his enemy swept towards the two officers. His spell had not yet been finished charging, luckily for the two police, as it discharged towards them as a strong wind, knocking them to the ground. August's eyes bore into the he-witch and his nose wrinkled some as he snarled,” We should continue this at a later time, Kitty Cat.” He used a pet name not for the boy, hoping it would irritate him. Sweeping away, he walked across the street, avoiding a bus hitting him and disappearing down an alleyway before the cops had even regained their footing.
When Kat landed a hit on August, he let a self satisfied smirk slip since it seemed to bother the witch greatly. How he would love to make the witch writhe with anger, but that meant stooping to his level and Kat was classy. He kept his body tensed in a defensive way, knowing better than to let down his guard now. The witch was strong and had shown that he was in the mood to fight hard. It drew a spark of excitement from Kat, enough so that he wanted a reaction, to see his response. Instead he got a verbal response that was rather a dismal thing, something that made Katsuo give a feign frown. "Well there went my plans to invite you out for a drink. A rain check then?" He said, readying for the attack from the with though he was pleasantly surprised it was a strong one. The chill in the air and the power that surged towards the man was definitely not normal, something that Kat registered almost immediately. But what the power was coming from was not making any sense, especially when the cops showed up and he was able to so easily redirect it to them. Kat stood amazed at the almost graceful execution, his eyes gazing over the man in appraisal. It was almost beautiful in a way...Desirable in that he wanted the power for himself. When the man called him by a pet name, it drew a smirk from him though it confused him how the man knew his name honestly..."I'll hold you to it...Though next time it will be on my terms." He said to himself, right before the officer's cuff was slapped on his wrist. ~~~ Yumino sat in the garden, flipping through an older spell book that her grandmother had given her to memorize. She worked diligently at the pages, her eyes almost aching from so long of staring at pages. Her attention however was fully on them, anything to keep her mind from wandering to that night...to anything about Sohta and August. She hadn't had decent sleep in days, her heart sending her horrid nightmares that kept her awake most nights, tossing and turning. When she didn't wake in cold sweat, she woke crying for a reason she didn't think she understood fully. She...missed him. Not the kind of miss you felt for a friend either. It was deeper, so hard felt that it drove her into a state of depression. It felt like there was something missing in her, a large enough part that she had trouble even enjoying the goal she attained that she was having to force herself to smile for. She had to force herself to look put together for everyone these days, her mother, her grandmother, her professors, Hiko...she felt ring her hand was heavy even time she lifted it, finding herself waking from her auto-pilot daze to find the ring catching her eye at times. She was to be married soon. The end of the year...and every time she went home there was a new wedding detail to be made. She even had dress shopping soon, something she dreaded more than forcing herself to be in the same room as him. Not that she despised Hiko, things just felt awkward and wrong between them. He was affectionate when he saw she was sad, but in all the wrong ways. He made her feel worse about her state of anxiety and mixed emotions she didn't understand that threatened to make her crazy. She gave a heavy sigh as the feelings began to resurface, making her bury her face in her hands. She knew she had to be strong, just till things settled and August collected his debt. Then she could forget it all and be....well what could she be any more? She was woken from her thoughts when she heard maids talking nearby. Something about the grandmother having to bail Katsuo out of jail?
His anger was slow to fade. August's emotions were nearly palpable around him, enough so that those walking on the sidewalk near him made an effort to steer clear as his aura was simply fuming. He had not succeeded in really harming the Tsukiyo brat, but rather had nearly exposed himself and most definitely brought more attention on him than he needed at this time. Still, it had been rather relaxing to just let go. It was something he had decided to do more of. He needed to be more of himself, however, he wasn't sure a cold malicious killer was all that he was anymore. He didn't want to believe that, however, he was a demon and there was a war coming, one he knew he would have to become involved with. He just didn't like either options open to him at this point. ~~~ What August found back home was an empty building which left him only to his thoughts. As he wasn't overly fond of said thoughts, he found a means to distract himself. He was ashamed of his behavior as of late and took his ancient spell book under his arm. He locked himself in his equivalent of a magical office and let his precious book thud onto his worn desk. The rivets and grooves in the wood were smoothed from years of work and it comforted him to open the book on the surface of the desk and read by firelight. He let himself huddle over the book, flipping through the pages and reading his creation as though it was the first time he had ever laid eyes on it. It was strange to see notes written in the margins and ingredients crossed out, replaced with something different. At first he was irritated by this but then surprised when he realized that many of the adjustments had either improved the spell or made it so that a witch could harness a slightly less powerful version of a demon's spell. August continued like this for some time, though he kept returning to one page that as ripped out, fingering the ridges of the torn manuscript. He had a nagging suspicion that whatever had been there was rather important. Of course, he had written this book so long ago that he couldn't remember everything he had chosen to put in it but he had a good recollection of every spell he had read thus far...What was he missing? August decided that he was definitely going to try to put more time and effort into this project he had just now given himself. It wasn't like he was going to be able to sleep anyways.
Katsuo sat in the car pensively, his mind elsewhere while his wife stood outside thanking his grandmother profusely, bowing like a twittering little bird. He instead focused his efforts in trying to understand just who that witch was. He searched every family line, every tree, struggling but failing to find one that had that kind of power. Furthermore, why did he seem so familiar? There was something about that cold look that reminded him of the demons he dealt with. But that was impossible, demons couldn't walk during the day in their world, well unless they were trapped like rats within a holding spell his family had found. It was a dangerous things really...the same one once used to bind them to the night. They had plans for such a powerful spell later, one that the ancient Tsukiyo mother had written within the book they lost could be the key to their victory over the demons. No one else knew of that spell than Katsuo and those working with him. Had he been double crossed? But then again that man had looked just like an average witch...surely he was just strong, maybe using black magic? His thoughts were broken when Haruka got in the car at the driver's seat since she had been told that Kat's dominant arm was fractured. She could see the bruising on his pale skin and quickly gave him an apologetic look. "I'm sorry I called her...I just...I didn't know what to do and I knew she could easily get this taken off your record. The city commissioners owe her favors..." She said, but Kat simply let his eyes slide to Haruka, his expression void of any readable emotion. "Haru dear, I'm not angry with you. You know I can't be angry with you...Besides you did what you thought was necessary. The old bat serves a purpose for now." He said, his teeth gritting at the end of his sentiment in an anger that Haruka knew her husband had that wasn't directed at her. He was right, he had never really been angry with her, disappointed or cross, but never truly angry. No his anger was reserved for those he truly hated, like his grandmother...She knew he hated the head of the Tsukiyo household, her presence always drawing something out of him that was dark and hardly the man she always saw him as. Kat was kind and funny, loving and strong, and she loved him regardless of her knowing he didn't feel the same. It wasn't her place to really ask for more than the trust they had between each other, the fact that he told her his plans and she listened, always the silent observer. She would do what she could to help him, even if it meant keeping silent about the messier parts he assured her would be over soon and he wouldn't make her participate in them...She gave Kat a small nod before heading back to their home where she would be able to reset his arm and heal it with some skill. She was an amazing healer. It was the only magic her family specialized in and they were all too proud of it. It was why her family had even been looked at by the Tsukiyo as an acceptable marriage partner for the first born grandchild. "Kat, we got an invitation to go to dinner with Takehiko and Yumino. Should I tell them another night?" She asked him off hand, which he gave her a shake of his head. "No, I need a drink after today. And I'm sure you could use a social night out. You seem stressed lately." She blinked at the off comment, looking to him with a softer smile to cover up her surprise that he had noticed something different. "Yes. I think it would be fun." She said lightly, though she turned her attention ahead of her and back to the road. ~~~ Manami frowned when the text message came through on her phone from another Sohren operative. Seems she was tasked to be instructing the nephew to see if he was cut out for their line of work. She was alright with that in a certain sense. She prided herself on being a friendly face to people and at least being involved in making things run smoothly. She always had the warm motherly air about her, something that many business partners and people within academia were not exactly used to or expected. She looked at the number for a moment that she was sent and gave a quick little smile. Hopefully the poor boy had a strong stomach...She had heard he was young, but what Sohren didn't start their dabbling in science and demons early? They were the dangerous research powerhouse of the magical world after all and the boy would have to learn soon where he fit in in all this. She dialed the number quickly, lifting her smartphone to her ear as the car took her back to the Oshiro summer household. They really lived off the main land, on a small island that was completely controlled by their family and businesses. They used their home in the city for meetings like this or for work, such as what Manami was doing. When she got someone on the phone, she was lively and cheerful, her voice sounding like a sunday school teacher rather than a business woman. "Hello, I believe this is the number of Sohren Adrian?"
