Mercy nodded to Rin when he asked to speak to his counterpart. They left the room and she began getting her clothes on, quickly since she was originally half dressed to be gin with. She was a little embarrassed about that and wanted to be dressed before leaving. Her dress was a very classic Fae dress she had always remembered her mother wearing one similar after all. She loved the fashion as well, her brother didn't honestly care as long as he had a hood with his gear since the sun gave him headaches. When the boys came back into the room she had her back to them and was putting on her white gloves and her wrist bands to seal her magic while traveling. She didn't want to hurt anyone unless they had no choice. Ciel watched them both come in and seem to be of some sort of agreement. "We were due to leave this morning, but you were brought in before I was able to finish dressing." She stated making it obvious she was already wishing to leave this town. She had done what she could and needed to move on to more places that needed her help. Ciel gave a nod to his sister when she handed him a ring from a black felt box in her trunk. It was to help him with his magic, if any leaked- not wanting these men getting the wrong idea about her brother- hew as a good boy- occasionally instinct driven but never a killer, since he was half Vampire she felt she needed to protect her sweet brother. Ciel easily picked up the large trunk full of things as if it were a light box, not seeming to be bothered by it either, as Mercy motioned to the door way for them. "Shall we?" She said making it sound like soon wasn't soon enough for her- since sitting still too long while idol wasn't a good thing. She gave Rin a smile as she moved past him and into the hall, saying good bye to the inn keeper as they went outside, to find both their horses there which made her frown. They had 3 horses, one for the trunk since it was disgustingly heavy, and two new guests. She turned to glance over at the men as they came over. "I'm willing to bet you don't have mounts? Yes? Rin please ride behind me, Aiden please ride with my brother for now. The next town I will see about attaining you both mounts. The land out here can be hard to navigate with out one." She explained but her cheeks were dusted a bit pink at the thought that she would be riding with a human- a male human who seemed to think they were no good, or at least thats how she read his behavior.

The dress looked good on her, or so the boys acknowledged when they returned to her wearing it. Rin then realized that he had been looking at a woman in a state of undress and he felt a bit bad for that. Of course, Aiden would bother people while she was in the middle of dressing. The man had impeccable timing. When told it was time to leave, Aiden was the one to start walking first for the door. Rin got a full view of the boy picking up a large chest, making his eyes widen some in surprise. AIden saw his look and leaned in, deciding to tell Rin before he was surprised later. "The boy is a vampire. Don't worry, only half vampire." Rin was about to argue that the idea was still bad, but figured he wouldn't mess up their ticket out of town just yet. He shook his head and followed after the group. When they reached the horses, Aiden figured there would be few horses and that it might call for sharing. Not that he was against it. He often would have to share a horse with his father as a child or with an escort if he was out in public. Rin however didn't look quite alright with sharing space with this woman and would have preffered to walk at this rate. However, a look from Aiden reminded him that he had to be social and he nodded. "Sounds like a plan." He said before moving over the horse, offering her a hand up to be courteous before he would mount. Aiden followed suit wondering why exactly these two traveled on their own like this though. Wasn't that dangerous? ((next town I'll introduce the baddies))

Mercy took his hand and stepped into the rigging to get onto the horse. She sat side saddle surprisingly for most but she was sure Rin soundly mind the extra space. Upon closer inspection her saddle wasn’t a full one, no horn in the front or back. It was closer to a cover and a leather rigging that held the saddle bags together best, so she could ride as she pleased. She kept the horse still while Rin got on behind her, allowing him to get situated before moving- the horse needing no kick to get active. Ciel looked a little off with having to ride with this new guy but nodded to his sister. He climbed up easily and helped Aiden before he kicked his horse to move, pulling the other horse along since it was mostly a carry horse. Ciel looked a bit awkward still but got his horse up closer to his sisters, looking at her as they made the town exit and were looking at a fork. One heading back to where the men came from and one heading more inland. “We will stay inland for a bit, since there is civil unrest currently. No doubt more injured folk here that need aid. What day you?” Mercy asked Rin who was behind her since he seemed to be the plan maker. She had assumed at least that he was but she knew Ciel was just going to follow her- even if he didn’t want to. “Do you know anything about this area? By the boarder that is?” She asked him more second handly since she hadn’t been this close to the boarder before- not to mention what had changed since her mother had told her stories of the places she had been.

Rin noticed her riding side saddle and stored that information away for future reference. Seems the pair were from a well-mannered family and she had classic training that wasn't just from a college. That could be useful information in understanding the odd pair. After all, if he was to keep Aiden safe he needed the clear picutre of who they were traveling with. When she actually asked his opinion on where to go, he actually looked thoughtful for a moment. This was Terra, he could tell by the fact that the forests were getting denser and the trees looked dry but healthy in this region due to the desert at it's border. "Not much. Only that heading inland means we will run into more chance of finding villages. Terra people like their forests over the desert if they aren't merchants." He said and Aiden cocked his head some at the path. His memory was struck by studying maps of bbattle strategy with his father. While the memory was sad, it brough back a memory of a map of Terra. "Yeah, I think I remember a map of the border. It looks pretty desolate from here but I think I remember there was this large lumber village not far. It was a place the palace used to get wood from for fortification repairs." Rin looked to Aiden with some suprise since he hadn't expected the air-head to retain much. He liked the man well enough, but he could be a bit daft at times. Aiden smiled at the look Rin gave him and gave a wag of his brows as if to say "See I know things!" Rin smirked but it was brief, only a flicker of humor before it was gone. "I say inland is better. Whatever hit Harena can't be far behind and it's smart to stay away from the unrest." Rin added since he would prefer to see someone loyal to the crown of the deserts than just any sporadic village in Terra. It was obvious by just looking at he and Aiden that they were not from there and the last thing he wanted was trouble from locals.

Mercy nodded at his words, giving Aiden and his humored looks a smile. They were silly, probably a sibling like bond. She moved the horse towards the inner lost path. The path before them was getting darker as the trees over head got closer together to a single path. The air full of twittering birds and wildlife sounds, nothing threatening thankfully. Mercy sighed more to her self, glancing over her shoulder at Rin. “So, Rin. Are you one for small talk or are you perhaps the quite broody type?” She asked more in a teasing way to perhaps get a rise out of him. Ciel has heard what aiden has said about a palace getting wood and his eyes got wide. “ oh! I heard about that palace! Is it as huge as I’ve heard? What’s it like? What you ever seen it!?” He said sounding bright with his childish excitement. He was a child after all so he was able to act like one when he slipped up in trying to be more mature for his sister.

At Mercy's comment to Rin about being the quiet, broody type, he gave her a stoic look that seemed to fit her classification very neatly. "Depends on the small talk and whether I care for it. Are you going to ask me about the weather? Or are perhaps cities of origin? Something more interesting?" He asked, giving her teasing right back to her with sarcasm that was dry, but held a hint of humor to it. He sensed she wanted a genuine response from him, so he gave her one. He did glance at Aiden as Ciel got excited about talk of the palace back home. He saw Aiden deflate a little, but his smile stayed on. "Yes, I did see it. As a soldier for the family, you get to see a lot of it all the time...You practically live there. It is massive, with towering walls and large battlements from the old days of origin when the first family ruled. Modifications have made it a bit less imposing and more an ornate piece of the past. The wood makes the harsh sunstone look more inviting with all the designs and painted decoration...It's beautiful. Or was...It's really nice inside as well. There's plenty of gardens and libraries and stables and a terrarium and a place to watch the stars. My favorite room was this one with a giant map that spanned the entirety of the walls, the floor, and the cieling. It depicts our planet with Harena in the center...It's as old as the place itself but left unchanged. Sorry for rambling. But if things calm down there and maybe whatever is going on ends, we should try to see it. You would probably like it." He said as he reigned in his memories that were leaving a sour place in his heart that hurt at the moment. Instead of letting the emotion over take him, he looked to Ciel with a brighter smile. "You like castles? Or is it just a passing curiosity?" He asked since the boy reemed rather excited about a kingdom that was a bit standoffish to foreign powers.

At his sarcastic response she smiled but seemed to ignore his answer mostly since she was used to men. “I don’t know, we could speak on things other then the weather if you prefer. We have been traveling a bit now, getting to see the world.” She said smoothly to at least start a small talk session with the man perhaps but he wasn’t being forced into it. Ciel was listening carefully as the man spoke of the palace. When he went on to talk about its modifications she nodded. “Yeah, the Spire in the Fae City- it’s got great blue glass towers. Large spirals in the sky- and stone walls. I want to see Sunstone one day, I heard it’s pretty.” He stated sharing hai experience with other large castles he had seen. “I love looking at architecture, it’s pretty and it’s got a way of telling a store of a people like art or a story passed down.” He explained but got a teasing comment from his sister. “ says the boy who can’t even appreciate art.” She stated with a laugh Ciel however gave her a dirty look. “ I don’t like Elven art. Too much florals.” He Stated to her since they had been living in an elven city while he was growing up.

Rin heard her smooth response back and noticed how she batted his sarcasm away so neatly. Usually it got people to leave him alone or people like Aiden to argue back. Mercy however seemed content with conversation on his terms. It was something he found...odd. “You make it sound like you both travel often? Is it out of hobby or necessity?” He asked since he was curious about that aspect of her life. Why was a healer and a vampire traveling the world. Surely they would have a place to settle in, the mage woman married and the boy growing up to do...whatever non ravenous vampire boys did. Aiden gave a smirk at the teasing though he was interested in the bit about the elven cities. He had never been outside of Harena, let alone the palace often. He had only heard about these places and knew only what people were willing to tell him. “Elves have art? Wait you saw the elven city? What’s it like there?” Aiden asked since he didn’t know and Rin didn’t either. They both had limited knowledge of the other countries.

Mercy rose a brow at the question since she wasn’t sure what he was getting at. “I was leaving home to travel myself and my half-brother tagged along.” She said with a smile even if she were explaining some things. “Our mother traveled everywhere, always sent letters and souvenirs back to me as a child.” With a sigh she looked ahead of her, patting the horses neck. “It’s kind of a hobby- lifestyle is you like.” She stated since they weren’t on the run or anything. “Oh, Mercy’s father is an elf.” He explained like it were obvious. “Yes and our grand da is a high elf as well ciel.” Mercy added in for the boy since Elves took heritages very seriously, unlike Fae. “Yeah, their art is kinda floral ish, lots of vines and flower visuals. But the Fae! Their art is awesome!” He started getting a tsk noise from his sister silencing him instantly. “Take your medicine Ciel, your getting to excited.” She Stated to her brother who nodded and dig in his saddle bag for a red hard candy that often calmed his excitement. “I’m sorry to stop your conversation however the Fae don’t honestly like our lifestyles on exhibition, we hold our secrets close, I’m sorry- our art is included.” She said more as a joking tone on the end to let her brother know not to just blab everything to strangers. Ciel waited a moment as the candy took an effect on calming him but he did speak again. “Terra- it has a large Elven City, large circle roofs with gold every where, it’s always clean and so well decorated. No large castles there however, just libraries and perhaps skill shops, they like arts.” He explained to Aiden as a compromise for the Fae.

Rin nodded at her telling him that traveling was a hobby and not because they needed to survive. It was a good balance and a good cover for them. However, the boys did have a similar look when they found out that her father was an elf and her mother had to be Fae. So that made the brother Fae and Vampire? It was an odd concoction but the Fae were known to be oh so secretive and hid their lives away. It caused alot of the distrust most had for them. However, Rin decided it was best not to pry to save their security and Aiden was trying to think of a way to ask later to find out more. He didn't want to upset anyone after all. Ciel's finishing words made Aiden give a grin and look to Rin. "You hear that Rin? An elven city in Terra. We could see it perhaps on the way to--where was it you two were going to go?" "Places that need healers, Aiden. Which I'm sure a city like that has enough. I suppose that what keeps their lifestyle sustainable." Rin said since big cities sounded dangerous for them right now. They weren't even sure who attacked the palace as of yet and needed to put their ear to the ground a little more to find out what was even going on back home. Aiden gave a huff before looking to Ciel. "So where all have you and your sister traveled to?" He asked to be sociable, since Rin was poor with carrying on a conversation.

She listened to them bicker a small bit and shook her head. "Actually Glasshaven- the city in question is mostly a specialty crafting city. Elves like to keep things current and useful- as well as organized so an elven city in Terra means it will deal with wood like crafts- as well as art. They won't worry about healing arts there." She stated since it was obvious to her but then again she knew her people's culture while it seemed these men did not. Ciel frowned at his sisters' more curt answer. "We have been a bit of every where- save Herena. We started off in N-" He was going on about things and was going to say Nix however Mercy called his name. "Do you really feel it necessary to tell these men your life story?" She asked a bit more protectively to her brother who looked a little confused before it clicked. Not all places got along- and very few with Fae- even less with Vampires. Her brother was quite a short while before Mercy spoke again. "We are headed to the village a bit North East of here- it is still on the boarder but it was safer- larger then the last- it can at least hold a market and have more then one Inn." She stated as she had looked over the map that morning and was happy for the idea of some shopping.

If Mercy was making a point of keeping her brother's talk on a leash, she had to realize the whole bit sounded suspicious as hell. Or at least that was all Rin got from it. Aiden seemed more apologetic that he led the little boy to say something he shouldn't. Rin however let it slide since pressing the matter was not the best when he didn't want to get them thrown off in the wilderness. Mercy seemed to have a temper to her, or maybe it was a rigidity that most nobles had. He wasn't against it perse, just making a healthy observation. He almost wished Aiden learned a little of that refinement. Honestly, he wondered if the man was nobility at times. "Anywhere is fine. I'd like to see a market in Terra. Do you think they'd have weapons RIn? We are a bit lacking..." Aiden said since he felt rather uncomfortable without a sword. He could cast spells like Rin and it made him feel more vulnerable than he would like to admit. Rin gave that some thought before he nodded. "Yes, they will. However, the stocks will be low and not the same as Harena's. Not many vendors from Harena travel too far to sell their wares." He said since the country was known for its weapons and liked to keep it that way. They were expensive and hard to come by in other kingdoms. They usually sold the cheaper metals and makes to others, as it kept their own superior. Sadly that didn't prevent invasion it seemed... Aiden gave a small hum of boredome before he looked to Mercy and Rin, noticing how Rin was keeping a quiet detachment from the pretty girl as he usually did with most people. Hwoever, that was hard on a horse, when things were going to be close for a while till they stopped. "So Rin and Mercy are mages, are you one as well Ciel?" He asked, getting a look from Rin who hadn't expected Aiden to tell that detail. It was hardly a topic he wanted spread but Aiden seemed satisfied to have gotten Rin to emote something. Rin needed to lighten up every once in a while.

Mercy glanced over at Aiden looking a little put off that he were asking all these questions from her brother. Ciel’s eyes moved to his sister who nodded to him lightly, giving him permission. “ Yes, I study the field of Abjuration. My sister is a healer as you know- our mother was a powerful healer too.” He said with pride since he was proud of his heritage. Ciel’s eyes cast to Rin after a moment tho. “ what school have you studied?” He asked wondering what kind of mage he was. Mercy rolled her eyes, she was used to this but a mage using weapons was better for protection then a mage who couldn’t protect themselves. “I am glad we aren’t on mage hating company at least.” She joked since it was part of the reason she had hushed her brother before to st least save him some back lash but he seemed to walk right into it.

Rin noticed her look at Aiden and he gave a bit of a smirk that was very slight. He would tell her later that she had permission to tell him to shut up. He wasn't going to learn the boundaries unless someone taught it to him. He was too used to getting his way in the palace and no one questioning him or challenging him. Except Rin of course, which was why they got along so well. He looked to Ciel when he said he specialized in Abjuration. It was an odd school for a Vampire, since most liked destructive magics or conjuration. But the boy did grow up with a healer for a sister...A pretty damn good one at that. He didn't even feel his wounds anymore...When Ciel spoke to Rin about his school of magic, Rin gave a small frown. "Illusion." He said, leaving it at that as he didn't like talking about his magic. It only got him in trouble. "Oh Rin it's more than that. He can do this cool thing where he disappears, or make you see smoke where there isn't any, and then this one where he can change--" "Okay Aiden. They get it. It's all about the dark and mysterious." He said in a sarcastic way that shut Aiden up before he said too much. Mercy's comment, however, made him nod and Aiden give a surprised look. "No definitely not mage haters. Rin is my best friend and you two are pretty cool. I don't even know why we need those stupid schools and the law are so strict against mages. Some aren't even allowed to marry or have kids. It's sad." Aiden said since Rin had once talked about the stigma against mages with him. While Aiden had once feared them, being around Rin made him more okay with it. It was hard not to like mages when you were around one most of your life or had one that was willing to put his life on the line for you. Rin took the opportunity to lean into Mercy, more so Aiden wouldn't hear and fuss over his words. "You can tell him to shut up if he's talking too much or crossing a line. He's harmless and not sensitive, but a bit ditsy. I noticed it's making you uncomfortable." He said since he didn't want her thinking she had to be nice with Aiden out of decorum if he was bothering her. Aiden raised a brow at Rin actually getting close to Mercy before he huffed. "I know you're talking about me Rin." Rin offered him a nod as he leaned away from Mercy. "Yes. I was just telling her that she can put you in your place if you get annoying." Aiden looked at him with a 'haha you're not funny' look before he looked back ahead.

Ciel nodded when told what school but Aiden expanded on it making him look interested in what he could do. Mercy however chuckled at her brother’s expression. Her eyes where forward when Rin leaned into her back- more to speak to her she found. She didn’t reply at first since Aiden chimed in first. She enjoyed the banter before nodding. “I am not uncomfortable because of your friend, just topics are sensitive.” She explained to Rinnot minding that Aiden and Viel were hosting their own idle chatter. It was close to night fall when they made it to the next town, this one having a large inn thankfully. Mercy however got a room two rooms, one with 2 beds and one with a single large bed. Figuring the boys wanted some space from them tonight from traveling. She glancing back at Rin as she passed out the keys. “ do you want a bath? I can get you one?” She asked not as a proposition but as an offer since she got herself one- hating to be dirty- she was a lady.
