Mercy was working on calming her breathing when Rin wrapped his arms around her, and gave her temple a kiss to hopefully quell some of the anger she had. She leaned back against him calmly and was listening to him speak. "She is ignorant. My mother was Fey royalty- She can eat her heart out over that. My aunt was once in line to be a ruler until she was exiled- my mother left to see the world. She isn't worth my time or aggression..." She seethed a little bur after a moment gave a huff and rested there with Rin close. It was comfortable to have him around, so she didn't mind. "Besides- My father will really be upset with her over this. I'm his prized child after all. He will punish her enough I feel for that offense since I did seem to make an obvious objection." She stated with a nod, more to herself as she relaxed however there was a quiet knock on the door... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ciel had been hanging out with Aiden but he seemed to want to gather his things so he decided that later that afternoon he boys would venture out to see the city a little and he also wanted to give Aiden time to process things. It was getting to be that time and he went to find his sister to let her know his plans. He knocked on the door- finding broken glass but she seemed relaxed enough there with Rin- his arms around her. That alone said he wasn't the cause of her anger- which was lucky for him. the knock seemed to surprise his sister as she moved her head quickly tot he door to see who was there. She relaxed with she saw it was Ciel and gave him a soft smile. "Hello dear brother." She stated softly before Ciel gave her a warm smile and a nod to Rin. "Aiden and I were going to go look at the city before we leave, wanted to let you know. That and I heard the yelling and breaking glass so I was coming to make sure things were okay." He explained a little further. "That and I feel Aiden might need some one to talk to that isn't me? If that makes sense? He seemed...deep in though a bit ago while we attempted to play a card game before- so I was thinking maybe that was something that could happen before we leave? Not to single you out Rin or-" He stated rambling however Mercy seemed humored by her brother. "Yes Rin can go see to Aiden, While you and I do a quick check up. I haven't done one in a short bit and its as good a time as any." He stated with a humored smile before turning in Rin's arms and giving him a softer kiss and a smirk. "We shall continue this later- Go talk to Aiden- Ill be in my chambers with Ciel if you have need of me or what Aiden is ready to go." She stated clearly since once she had her mind anger out she was good.

Rin let Mercy speak and just listened as she spoke. It seemed her own family history was quite a mess of royalty, banishment, and future issues with travel. He was glad Mercy handled things so well, but he found she was perhaps bottling things up when it came to her family. The news that her father would punish her step mother, his face tending at that news. He wondered what punishment under the Fey was like...But he let the thoughts go as Feyra turned in his arms and kissed him lightly. When Ciel came in and asked that Rin talk to Aiden, Rin pulled away from Mercy and gave a small nod. It was best he did talk with him about this whole mess if he had some sort of problem with the relationship. “Be back soon.” He told the pair as he felt they needed a chance to talk as well. He went to Aiden’s room, finding the man was braiding his hair up to keep it from his face. When he saw Rin came in, Aiden gave an awkward smile. “Hey...” Aiden said and Rin gave him a raise of his brow. “Hey.” He leaned against the doorframe, eyeing up Aiden. “So mind telling me why you are bothered by my seeing Mercy?” The question hung in the air and Aiden gave a shake of his head after that pause. “I’m not mad. I’m just confused. You said not to go after Mercy or flirt with her and now here you are sleeping with her.” His statement was accusatory, just confused which Rin appreciates. “It was...it honestly just happened and I really hoped that it would have just been a fling but...” he paused and thought about that statement before he looked down at the floor. “She is important to me and I want to be sure she’s taken care of.” He said with a small huff. Aiden nodded at that and gave him a half smile. “I get that. And I don’t mind that, but...” he then shook his head. “I just don’t want to lose you in all this. If you and Mercy get together, you two might want to go off and have a life like Mez and Dimitri and then...I guess I feel like I can’t do this all without my friend. I don’t even mind coming in and helping you with this ring.” He said with a small frown. Rin gave Aiden a softer look and moved over to where Aiden was. He gave the man a pat on the shoulder. “I’m not going anywhere. I want to help you Aiden and not let you down. Even if I’m with Mercy that isn’t going to change. I have your back...as you’ve had mine.” He said with a small smile before gesturing to the door. It drew a smaller smile from Aiden but still a smile. “Let’s go find the others and go enjoy the city...okay?” Aiden gave a nod and went with Rin to go find Mercy and Ciel.

mercy went with her brother to her own room where she did have most of her medical equipment in a section of her room, more specifically the trunk she carried around. She did a few tests on her brother as well as gave him more candy- more his own stash since she made a quick batch since it was a simple concoction of sugar, blood and a starch that hardened quickly with a spell. After the tests Ciel seemed to be relaxed since it seemed his sister wasn't going to treat him any differently with Rin in the picture. That was reassuring to him. When Mercy looked at his softer smile oddly since it was out of no where, he blushed. "I'm glad you found some one who understands you well Mercy." He stated with a smile, getting one that was soft in return. She ruffled his hair in response. "Thanks dear. I'm fine, besides you know how things can get with travel. He is a good guy- and he is a good friend. So please continue to be my special little brother and love me the same?" He asked him with a teasing smile getting a shrug from him. "Yeah- like I could ever leave you." He chuckled but glanced over when Rin and Aiden came into the room after knocking on the door. "I see you two have kissed and made up?" Mercy teased them as they came in before bandaging her hand more properly and putting a glove over it more to hide it from Rin and Aiden since it was none of their business honestly.

Rin gave her a smirk when she said they kissed and made up. Her teasing meant the check up with Ciel went well at the very least. "Not a lot of kissing but I believe we reached an understanding." Rin said with a softer smirk as he noted her bandaged hand. The blood no doubt that Ciel needed. He wouldn't pry but was curious. Aiden gave a laugh at the mention and shook his head. "Sorry I was just in my feels. I'm over it now. Let's go see this city!" He said with excitement, since he really wanted to get a look at everything. He hurried with Rin and the others out the door. It was different than Harena but he saw some of the similarities. They even got to enjoy some of the food in the market, which was Aiden's favorite bit as he never had elven cuisine. Rin stuck close to Mercy and kept his eye on Aiden as he flitted around the space. He noted people still handing out gifts and trying to gain attention. "This is so strange to watch. Do people really get won over by simple gifts in the street?" He asked since most seemed like strangers.

The city was busy as expected but it was a nice day out and the sky was a pretty blue. They watched as Aiden was being shown the architectural wonders of the city by Ciel who was excited to show something he liked to his friend. Mercy was glad Rin stayed close as she did occasionally hold his hand from time to time before she got distracted by something in a vendors' stall. If anyone came over to her, she gave them a darker look and they moved on since she was close to Rin. That in it self was attracting attention since it seemed Mercy's father was well know and so was his daughter. "Elves are simplistic- materialistic beings...let them be delusional, it helps them sleep at night." she joked back since honestly they were.

The day was spent collecting supplies and getting ready to travel towards the frigid northern areas near Nyx and the Fay kingdom was. It required updated wardrobes, more food, and assuredly thicker bedding. They would hopefully find places to stay, but if they didn't, being in Nyx soldier territory, they would have to stay in the elements. He wanted to try and make sure Mercy was comfortable to say the least and that they all didn't freeze. Rin knew his time in Harena had his thinned his blood and he was sure he would have plenty of complaints too. By the time they needed to leave tomorrow, Rin and Aiden gave their father small goodbye and a thanks for letting them stay. They left the home and made their way northward, noting the way things turned from a beautiful springy forest and plains to withering and wilting forests. The fall time air and chill in the wind made Rin have to clutch his coat closer. Even Aiden gave a shiver when a particularly strong breeze passed through the trees. Soon, they reached a small town, appearing to be a hunting outpost at most. They were able to barter their way into a pair of rooms, even if they all met in one room to discuss next moves. "So how are we going to get into the Fae town? Would it just be you and Ciel that could go in?" Aiden asked, since he was sure the Fae wouldn't be okay with him and Rin there since they were human.

Mercy helped get that they needed, having it all sent to her father's estate, on his bill. She ordered plenty of warm furs, wanting to be warm since she remembered her mother telling her to bundle up if she ever visited. Dinner was quiet and akward as no one spoke, her father looked upset, his wife was no were to be seen, ciel and Aiden chattered happily at the table about the day. Mercy was coordinating with her father and the house staff to get things packed properly and such for the trip. It wasnt long till they had everything loaded accordingly and they headed out. Mercy didn't seem bothered by leaving really, wanting to be done with this place. As they went North, they noticed the definat change int he surroundings, Mercy nodded at Ciel when he asked if she were warm enough with her clothes on, since she was still in a dress of all things. She pulled her cape a little tighter around her shoulders and glanced at Rin and gave him a smile,"We should be near a post soon, they are along the borders." She explained as they pushed on. Eventually finding a post, they traded some of the money they had for rooms, not large, and it was short on space, wo Mercy opted to sleep in the room with her brother, giving a room For Rin and Aiden to share. Mercy had her things mostly still packed but she was in a light robe as she sat, a drink in hand, when Rin and Aiden came in. She wasnt in the best state of dress but she didn't care. Rin had come over to sit by her, which made her smile, hearing Aiden's questions as he posted up on the bed to sit. Mercy heard his questions and decided to answer since Ciel looked at her. "Just me. Ciel won't do well there I dont feel. Besides I look the most Fey of us all. Only I would be allowed in- in good Grace's anyhow. " she stated getting an uncomfortable look from her brother not wanting her to be alone... "I dont really think you should go alone Mercy." He stated softly getting a soft look from his sister," I would be fine Ciel. I remeber mothers' cautions well." She stated since she knew better, they wouldn't hold the lost love for her but for herothers' blood they accepted her . "Besides, I'm sure our grandparents don't really care for us to stay around, I'm going for information." She stated since that was frowned upon to request information, when you were from outside.

The pair listened to Mercy's thoughts on the whole entering the Fey city alone and Rin found he could only agree. Surely she knew better than all of them what was allowed and if they wanted answers they needed to play by the Fey's rules. While he agreed with Ciel's logic that she shouldn't go alone, could they really sway her mind once it was made. Mercy had already shown she was stubborn if not obstinate when she felt she was right. "You think they will offer the information willingly? It seems like they like to keep their secrets close to them." Rin asked, since he didn't want her putting herself in danger over this either. What if this was something they wanted to keep secret and her bringing this up was a way for them to keep her there? Her mother left, as did her aunt for a very good reason...It wasn't normal for your mother to also warn you about her homeland...

Mercy put her drink down and got her hair brush and began brushing her pale hair more as she though a few things through. Her eyes going to Rin when he asked about the information and perhaps the cost of it. "I'm not sure. The Fey hold their secrets dear but they frown upon sharing when they don't have to." She stated softly before getting a nod from her brother. "Another reason I dont think you need to go alone. " he stated again, trying to make his sister see his point in this. If the Fey were to hold her hostage, no one could do anything if she went alone- they wouldn't even likely know for a long time. Mercy frowned at Ciel's expression that was screwed up in slight aggravation. They were silent a brief moment before Ciel spoke again," I would feel better of you took someone with you. Be it me, Rin or even Aiden- wait- sorry Aiden wousnlt even be allowed in. If they hold you hostige what makes you think you can escape? Even get word to us? No ita too dangerous to go alone. I refuse to let you go." He stated firmly to his sister getting a tight pursed lipped look from her. Ahe put her brush down and scowled almost at him. "And what makes you think you have any right to tell me what I can and can not do brother?" She asked almost in a catty manner- her addittude showing. He looked at his sister who was being stubborn. "I never said I had any authority, I simply stated that as a physical threat sister. I will not let you be taken unprotected." He stated very firmly again, getting a scowl as the only response. Mercy knew he could back up the threat but Ciel also knew his sister coudl put him down in a matter of seconds with a spell. She was much older and more advanced in magic after all, but he wanted to be hear in thia topic as he was worried for his sister. He just hoped Rin agreed with him, to help dispel soem aggression here in the room.

Rin saw the siblings getting hostile with one another and Aiden looked on edge himself. Rin agreed with Ciel, but knew he had to be delicate and honest about this if it was going to get through to Mercy. She wasn't one for someone to try and control, let alone command. He got what Ciel was trying to say, but figured Mercy only saw it at the moment as Ciel doubting her. Rin placed a hand on Mercy's back, brushing the skin there gently to draw her fury from her brother. "He's worried about your safety in this situation. As I am. If something were to happen to you that could have been avoided with support, I doubt any of us would be okay with that. Not because you can't defend yourself but because this a city cull of unknowns and we don't have a clear picture of how they'll react. With at least one extra person there, you at least have an ally on your side if you needed to make a clean escape. It just increases your odds of success rather than hinders them, right?" He said, trying to be logical with her and not commanding. He then leaned in a little, speaking gently to her even if he knew the show of affectionate closeness was probably a bit odd for the other two. "I feel like you're being stubborn to prove a point that we all understand. You're a tough, sexy, scary Fae mage...But like you told me before, you'll have to get over me stepping in when I think you need help... That means trying to protect you when you are a danger to yourself." He said softly to her, using her words that she had snapped at him when he was being stupid over the situation with Hale and her coming to rescue him from himself. She was being stubborn and needed to rely on others with this... He pulled away, figuring she needed a moment to think without him in her space. Or she would sock him in the jaw and be done with it.

Mercy's tight lipped expression shifted a fraction to a more neutral look when Rin-@ hand touched her back, she liked the contact she she didn't push him away. When he spoke however she glanced over at him, testing the idea that she might hex him if he said something stupid. As he agreed with Ciel, making it sound less like she were incompetent she pused her lips glivinf him a brief narrow of her eyes before she looked away ans grabbed her bottle fo drink. As she returned tk her sitting position, Rin leaned in, whispering things that she liked but didn't like. When he quoted her the night that he was seemingly unreasonable because he felt it was his personal issue to handle and didnt need help, and didn't want to admit it she chuckled on dry humor. "Really?" She almost mocked him as he leaned away, it seemed to have calmed the tension at least as she took a drink. "Fine, pick some one to come with me then. They need a few Fey lessons." She stated bluntly showing she would respect the situation when Rin pointed out she was being unreasonably stubborn but she would attempt to behave for Rin. When Mercy seemed to calm a bir with Rins' involvement he relaxed a bit, giving his sister a more sheepish look cause he knew she had been mad at him for being worried.

Rin caught that she was calming down and was even humored by him. He hadn’t meant for it to be amusing since she was being stubborn. But he was glad it calmed her down and at least made her see reason. He also didn’t want to see her harmed by the Fae, even if they were her distant family. When told to decide who would go with her, Rin made a face since he felt that really only Ciel would be allowed right? Ciel was part Fae and Rin was...well he didn’t know what he was. Would he even be allowed in? He looked towards Ciel and gave him a raise of his brow. “I wouldn’t mind going to keep an eye on her there. Unless you think it’s best you go with her? I’m not sure how the Fae will take me being around her.” He asked Ciel since he didn’t want to cause them trouble or make things worse.

When Rin looked in his direction, he nodded but seemed to give it some thought. "Morther cautioned me to never go there. I'm not sure I should. While she told tales of her home land and people to us, I'm not sure they would appreciate my particular breeding." He stated since he wasnt sure their views on Vampires. "As for being around her, the fey are very emotional creatures, it should be fine, it's just they hold social protocols over emotional responses." He stated getting a nod from his sister. "Yes, according to Aunt Mez, when she refused to marry a lorsling she didn't like, because she had a lover already- they cut off her lovers head and attempted to force her with Magic. She instead chose to abdicate her claim to royalty and be exiled." She stated formally since it was sad yes but she was now happy as could be.

Rin wasn't surprised to hear that Ciel couldn't go, so that meant it was up to him. Not that he was opposing at all. He liked the idea of being allowed to stay by her side and keep a watch at the very least. He spared a nod to the boy before his eyes widened some at mention of Mez's past. Really? They murdered her lover? He thought back to the happy couple now and felt that the poor woman did deserve that happiness. To be forced into love through murder and magic was atrocious. If they would do that to keep Mez, what might they do to Mercy? "Yikes. No wonder she left..." Aiden said with a frown before he looked to Rin with some worry. "Are you sure you should be going in there?" Rin gave a nod before sparing Mercy a softer look. "Can't let her get into trouble by herself." He said before his attention went to Mercy. She looked pretty in her nightgown and the way her pale hair cascaded down her back as smooth as silk. He felt the need to pull her in and feel the skin exposed there, but knew better than to do it. Instead, he let her finish her drink and instead turned his attention to the window. "So looks like I'll be getting the Fey lessons? You mean the language or social rules?" "Both?" Aiden asked and Rin gave a shrug since he was sure Mercy would have him properly trained by the time they got there. He was a quick study and it was hard not to listen to what she said when her voice got this riveting seriousness to it when she was focused on something.

When Aiden commented on her Aunts past she nodded," Indeed, it was harsh but that's Fey for you." She stated before glancing at Rin as she felt his eyes on her. She felt his eyes wander a bit, not that she minded, but it seemed he was being respectful tonight. When he asked about lessons shs chuckled, especially when Aiden chimed in. "Both indeed. If all else fails, you can just let me do the talking. Our aunt taught me Fey, so I can speak it almost fluently." She stated with a smile before finishing the last swig of her drink. "I guess we should start with proper attire and greetings." She stated she stood up and went to her trunk and he can looking for something, pulling out a dress, though there wasnt much of one since the Fey were proud and liked to show their bodies, throwing it on the bed. "The fey show skin. I'm surprised my aunt is dressed most days, well as much as she is and what that college will allow." She stated getting a chuckle from ciel. "I don't think uncle could handle her in less clothing." He joked since he knew that their uncle was a mess when Mez put on something skimpy or in a pretty dress. "You will need to show restraight, keep your eyes high, make eye contact- then you look them over. They are proud and like to show off, so it's not insulting at all." Shs stated smoothly. Not seeming to mind telling the man she was involved with it was okay to check out other women. We will have to stop in the Nyx markets and get you something to wear. they will see you are cursed quite easily but the charm you have should help them see you better. You look fey enough in most respects. " she teased him, getting him know up front that they ahouldnt hide his real apperance. Since it was his ring they were inquiring about and its origin would be specific to his breeding no doubt.
