"This party? Just doing what I like, When there isn't a war going about I protect the royal princes. Prince Cearúil is an old war friend of mine. As for your performance you seem very...handy with a blade. Is it routine or practice?"Smiling at her he gave her a look that said he knew that she was dangerous. He didn't care, as long as she wasn't near the princes' she was free to do as she pleased. He had watched her hair fall off her shoulder to relieve a tattoo but he remembered seeing it some where int he past but shrugged it off not having the memory surface just yet. He would wonder on it late into the night but he wouldn't let it bug him. "What might I ask, is the cause of your most unusual coloring? Its stunning..."
((I'm sorry totally spaced on that lo l- I fixed it))
"I am enjoying myself my Prince. Its my personal pleasure to be here tonight." She turned when she noticed the music change, it picked up yet stayed the same. The music flowing with the bladed dancer. She was beautiful and it made her cheeks pink just looking at her. She was pretty and could dance and had a nice body, that made her mad. Her glancing over at the prince periodically, watching his eyes for expression and some form of emotion, she hid a deep frown of disapproval. However when he clapped she clapped as well. When he looked at her with a slightly inquiring look she looked at him a bit coyly when he asked about her history. In her head she was screaming that he didn't want to know that truth so she just smiled at him. "Well, If you wish to know about me, it is my pleasure you inform you...My parents are simply related to the courts-not in the government, I'm a lady in waiting to your mother in fact. As for this celebration I was hoping to catch a glimpse of the two notorious princes-but who would have imagined me being escorted by one of the very princes this evening." She left out her past indiscretions as well as a few other facts but it wasn't imperative for him to know. Smile a sly smile the whole while she kept her eyes on his face, watching his reaction to each and every word.

Cearúil’s eyebrows rose in surprise. “Oh, so you accompany my mother?” He said and felt a tad bit of annoyance. So was this another ploy played up by his mother to push him together with someone? He remembered the last few women, the annoying giggly types that hung off of him like drapes. They were two dimensional beings, though he liked the attention, they became just a hassle with their constant bickering and needy behavior. After all his duty was to his throne before anyone else. “I’m glad my company is such a pleasant surprise. You're also a refreshing person to be around after being gone so long..” He said, though a smile betrayed his curiousity. She had a clever little smile, something that drew eyes to those red lips despite the draw that was already to her eyes. He liked pretty women, especially those that had that coy side to them. But was she going to prove to be hassle like the others? "It isn't everyday I have a beautiful woman just show up in the throne room with no one to escort her."

"Mmm, sounds like quite the job to have, not to mention you have good connections. Though not many meridians aren't involved with the royal family in someway or another." Niamh commented, her eyes leaving the red haired meridian, preferring to check around her surroundings occasionally. No one was really paying much attention to either of them, not that Niamh could tell anyways. Twirling a strand of golden hair around her finger, Niamh listened to his question about her sword play.
How to answer that correctly was what was on her mind. Biting her lip gently, she smirked. "Well, I normally would say practice but I think you would be able to tell when someone was lying so routine I suppose. Though more of a mixture of both." Her tone was secretive but sly, saying that there was more behind the answer then she gave away. The large blade she had begun to practice with at her brothers request, the ornate long knife on her back was routine.
Her deep dark orbs narrowed some when Vin asked his next question. Turning to face him fully, she leaned towards him, a playful smirk tugging at her lips. "That, my red haired friend is a secret." Putting her pointer finger to her lips, she chuckled some and swam up a bit higher from Vin. Hands above her head, she stretched, arching her back; the shimmering gold pattern on her dark tail becoming prominent as the moonlight hit her just right. Her whole body seemed illuminated, her hair sparkling as well.
Swimming in a half circle around the mermidian, she stopped at his left side. "Care to escort me on a swim? The loud chattering is hurting my head." She questioned, finger gently touching him on the shoulder.

Looking at him with a complexed look, she couldn't help but let her smile slip. She loved a boy who could play a little mind game. "I'm a refresher? How nice of you to say that, If it makes you feel better, Your mother doesn't know me yet- I've yet to meet her. As for the thrown room, I was drawn by the aura of a fight-I was curious as to who was fighting, and i happened to find a prince and a bit of a lost Meridien. " Looking at him yet again from her small glance to the ground she brought up her hand, in an offering,"Would you care to dance Your highness?"
Watching her bit her lip, he smiled. He liked her cute face but he couldn't put the facts completely into place that she was a Meru not a Meridien, something didn't click in his mind but he let it slide for the moment. A sly smile returned," Well then I appreciate your honesty. It makes me what to trust you a bit more..." She pushed off and he watched her reflection as her tail then her whole body began to shimmer a soft gold. His eyes following her as she began to swim up a bit then back down he got a bit stiff fin his back, feeling a bit uncomfortable with a girl with a sword behind him. "Where too bladed dancer?" He felt uneasy so he shrugged her finger off his shoulder, he never did like to be touched.

Cearúil wanted to laugh but settled for a smile. This girl was very straight forward, definitely different than those that he was accustomed to. Normally he would have said no, but he wanted to entertain her, oddly enough. “It would be my pleasure.” He said, taking the offered hand and pulled her along with him through the crowd. The people in the circle of dance stopped to bow quickly when he walked up and he gave them the slightest bow of recognition before he pulled Marie close, a hand on her waist and a hand holding hers. He fell into step easily with the others with a few minor mistakes from not being used to dancing. But he was quick to realize and correct them, not with actual grace though his steps were very precise like the flow of fighting. “You’re pretty good at this. You might even end up leading before the night is over.” He said in good humor, at how easily she fell into step with easy grace.

Chuckling lightly, Niamh cocked her head to the side. "I am almost always honest---I just go about it in a round about way." She explained somewhat, her odd personality showing in her eyes. Noticing that the red haired maridian stiffened as she touched him, Niamh rolled her eyes before flipping her way in front of him.
"Right on the very outskirts of this party, about a quarter to a half mile away." She answered, moving a bit further away. Narrowing her eyes some, she leaned forward, her top hanging loosely and becoming quite revealing. "Or are you scared to go be alone with a female who knows how to fight." Quirking her eyebrow at her own teasing, she winked and began to swim backwards, her deep blue eyes watching to see if he would follow.
To be honest, Niamh was intrigued by the meridian. His hair was odd and he had actually come up and said that he had appreciated her dancing. Plus he was fairly nice to look at. However, she wasn't going to force the poor man to go along with her. In fact she mainly just wanted to catch the sight of some deeper fish swimming in the large rift near by, though all the noise from the party might have made them move elsewhere for the night. Grabbing hold of the amulet around her neck, she smiled as if asking Vin if he was going to come.

When he said yes she smiled a devilish smile, she loved dancing and was a pro at it. Following his through the crown wasn't a problem as they weaved and them all stopping to bow to him, she was enjoying the jealous glances she got from the girls. When his hand was suddenly on her hip she couldn't help but blush. It was rather scandalous to dance this close to a new acquaintance. Getting over the thoughts in her head, she smiled at him as she made a few minor mistakes, but didn't say a word since he corrected himself quickly. “You’re pretty good at this. You might even end up leading before the night is over.” Looking back at him she cocked her head to the side,"The girl should never lead, its improper. However I think you are doing just fine since you got back into t the swing of dancing unlike the dance of war. Its just as graceful but with so many subtle differences. "
She she moved to a more front position he relaxed a bit more,'This girl is weird'. The thought to himself. He watched her as she grabbed her necklace oddly and smiled, his eyes doing all they could from falling captive by suddenly revealing top. "I guess some fresh water is good for the gills, I would be happy to escort you.Or you to escort me in this case Lady Niamh. I haven't been around the city in a long while- I How ever an not scared...I am curious but cautious."

"True, very true." Cearúil said, smiling slightly. "Though today I prefer a dance where my partner isn't trying to kill me." He said, though he was kind of an odd idea. They took the steps around the cicle of the area, the music filling the room. From time at war, it was easy for him to pick up small things, like the fact she was well practiced in etiquette by the way she carried herself and that the women around her noticed it. They were giving her annoyed looks, ones that made him want to smirk and shake his head. He pulled away from her for a moment his hand taking hers to spin her then they came back in the middle. "But it seems like this whole society is one big dance though, see, look over there." He nodded in the direction of a girl making eyes at a guy she was laughing with, the guy looking like he wanted nothing more than to escape. "She's trying to waltz but he has two left feet." He looked to another group of politicians talking exuberently with a man who they were trying to impress. "He's dancing his heart out and all benifactor can think about is escorting the next official that catches his eye." He winked at Marie, wondering in what way they socialized in this odd dance. "But you know that. Its the world we all have to know if we hope to survive in the system right? Though my brother has more experience with that sort of thing." He admitted, not sure why he did. He normally didn't talk this much with anyone. "Though I'm sure you have the ability to keep up quite nicely with them."

Smiling at his agreement, Niamh swam a little away from the party, motioning for him to follow. "Just Niamh." She corrected the meridian, though she knew he was being polite. She didn't like those honorifics anymore. Her brother used to tease her by calling her lady and she calling him lord. It was a game she used to play when she was younger but now it had lost all its charm, along with those silly titles.
Swimming backwards, as she waited for Vin to catch up, she smiled once more. "It is always good to be cautious, just be careful not to over do it." Spinning back around, she turned her head towards him, her tattoo flashing once more though only the corers. "And as for being curious, I am not sure it is a good thing to be the item a meridian is curious about." Smirking, she turned back and continued her lazy swim. She wasn't worried per say, but the last time a meridian had taken a liking to her, she ended up having to spend much of her childhood with her, though she appreciated everything she had been taught, Niamh didn't want to be taken away from her already unusual life and make it more odd.

She smiled at his humor,"Indeed It would be nice..." Her eyes were watching him in a polite way but they didn't miss the fact that he was studying her and her moves, everything, The spin only made her think harder on what he was thinking. Bringing his hand back to her waist, she grinned, his hand warm. AS he spoke again, she listened for once not just doted the look of listening. What he was saying was making good sense. "Well, the man with two left feet needs to tell her he can't dance, the politician should grow a spin and...as for the ability to keep up- I do have the chance to-how ever I'm not applicable for it. I'm not nobility, Though I appreciate the comment. But I wonder how we fit into your dancing system? Is that how your assuming I'll keep up? By how I 'Dance'?"She said it with her temper slightly coloring her tone, though she wasn't mad about anything. She didn't really get mad over simple things but she hated generalizations about herself from others. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Watching her go ahead she corrected him, he hated being corrected. "Please Don't treat me as a child."Catching up in a quick flick powerful flick of hit tail he smiled," I can't help being distracted by some things- Its a flaw of the world...And why can't a meridian be curious? Is it a crime? Or does it demean the one we are curious about? Watching her swish ahead he glimpsed her tattoo again and it was starting to nag at him-it was familiar to him he had seen it years ago, but he didn't get a good view of it. "Is it that you think we don't give back for our time of company? Or is it not worth what we give in return?"

Cearúil was surprised by her response to everything he’d said, so much so he nearly fumbled a step. Okay, maybe he had been a bit harsh with judging her quickly, but he didn’t enjoy being used for someone’s ulterior motives. Not that he would ever let it get so far for him to be actually be used…he just wanted to make sure things were clear. That if she was looking for a way to better herself politically, that he wasn’t the person to go to. Then again she’d stamped out the thought quite quickly. She ‘danced to her own tune’ in a sense…something he found agreeable as well as unexpected given the other women she was around. “You must forgive me for my earlier statement, seems my ability to judge character is also lacking.” He said for once his look sincere despite his attempts to appear nonchalant and apathetic. “You really are remarkable. And no I’m not just saying that to make up for my mistake.” He said with a slight laugh.
He was cut short when the music stopped, the musicians giving a small bow before heading off to take their break. He hadn’t realized they’d been dancing so long, so much so that he began to notice the colors of the oceans light growing darker from time passed. He bowed slightly since the dance was done to her as was customary and behind him he heard a light laugh.
“So this is the girl you spoke of?” Cearúil turned to Daire and gave him a small frown of annoyance but still soft enough to show there were no bad feelings between the two. Daire returned the frown with a soft smile, his usual trademark. The two in comparison with one another were an odd pair, Daire favoring their mother while Cearúil favored their father. There was the difference in height that left Daire a head taller than him, but in presence Cearúil seemed to have a more prominent one next to his brothers given grace. “You didn’t say anything about her being this lovely, little brother.”
Cearúil gave a shrug, before looking to Marie. “Miss Bellsario, this is my brother Crown Prince Daire. Daire, this is Marie Bellsario.”
“Now, Cear, it isn’t polite to speak for a lady guest. And besides, you know I don’t mind titles.” He took Marie’s hand and gave it a kiss. “You can call me Daire. And you can call my brother Cear, if you please.” He let go of her hand as Cearúil gave him a raise of his brow.
“So, what brings you to this side of the ballroom. I thought you had business to attend to with the air breathers?” Cearúil said simply, using the derogatory name for humans. Daire didn’t appreciate the word, as shown by his wrinkle of his forehead.
“Ah yes, it ended shortly however. I was looking for someone but…” He looked back at the crowd before looking back to Cearúil and Marie. “But no matter. Are you two enjoying yourselves?”

Smirking slightly when Vin told her not to treat him like a child. "I am not. Is it wring to tell you what I prefer. It is just something I do not like being called, that is all." with a slight shrug of her shoulders, Niamh did a little spin, enjoying how the water felt on her skin and through her hair.
Oh, this meridian was full of words, Niamh mused with a bit of a chuckle."There is nothing wrong with your curiosity. It is merely that once your eye catches something, it is hard to get you to let go. It is not a bad thing, just trouble some at times." She response, making it sound as if she knew from experience and didn't mind it at all. She was just conversing about it was all.
At the red haired meridian's last comment, Niamh slowed some, biting her lip and grabbing hold of her amulet tightly. "No, you give back more than the time was worth and you can be more generous than is needed. It is when you leave that it places a unremovable scar behind in a meru or human mind and heart." Niamh almost sounded bitter towards the end, though it disappeared quickly on her face. She spoke fondly at first, her memories of the female meridian she had spent much of her life with surfacing.
Speeding up again, she stopped after a few more minutes, the music sounding faint in the distance, though you could see the ballrooms and the mass of people inside of them. In front of the two was a very deep rift, darkness falling as you looked down it. Night was falling, giving the crevice in the earth a bit of an eerie aura. Though Niamh had come right on time. Slowly, what seemed to be lights started to float up from the crevice. A smile formed on the blue and gold haired girl lips.
After about five minutes the lights had ascended from the dark hole in the sea bed, revealing themselves to be fish. The moon was out fully now, the faint orange glow left from the sun, only a sliver in the horizon. The fish took the glow from the moon, becoming a reflective surface, seeming to dance as they continued to rise towards the surface. Reflective light bounced off of them, bathing the ground with multi-colored lights. A soft sigh emitted from Niamh as she floated up some, it was quite beautiful to her, something she didn't like missing. Motioning towards Vin, she made it obvious that he could follow her if he wished. Plunging herself down into the dark whole, her figure vanished but from her point of view, she the fish looked like a million stars on a burnt orange and silver backdrop. Breath taking.

At his compliment she couldn't help but blush. As the music stopped she gave him a light bow back, she had lost track of time and had danced the whole set with the Prince, some thing she had not expected. When the prince turned around she was slightly surprised to see the crowned prince behind him. However she smiled when the first words he spoke were about her and how he had already 'spoken' about her. "Thank you Our Lordship. its an honor to be complimented by you words and graces' attention. " She said with a curtsy. When Cearuil introduced them formally she sighed more to herself, she hated tittles, they took forever to get threw. Daire kissed her hand-now that made her blush. She hadn't had her hand kissed by royalty before. Studying his facial expressions when Cearuil spoke next she noticed differences in the brothers About how they spoke and reacted to each others. "Yes Daire, I am quite enjoying myself here, your brother has honored me with his company for the evening. And are you enjoying your self tonight sir?"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "A preference is a more personal thing- not some thing among acquaintances..." She made a few good points in her rebuttal with how when a meridian gets his eye on some thing they can't let go-it was true. They were attached till they had shared all that being needed to know form it. Not its' life story but just knowledge to help it survive. When he made his final point he watched her bite her lip- that wasn't the best thing to do, she was acting nervous in his opinion. Coming to a stop just by a crevice he looked there and both stood there for around 5 minutes. Then when he was about to make a comment-little lights started floating upwards. They were very eye catching and he was having problems focusing on the girl. However when she gestured to him to follow he did- strangely enough he thought it was a good enough idea to follow her to the source of the beautiful light and reflections.

Daire looked to Cearúil as she said "honored" her with his company, trying to contain the small smile it brought. Cearúil could be a little stand offish when it came to others, but he seemed quite comfortable around this Marie girl. "Very much so. I enjoy any chance I can get to meet with the people of our kingdom." Dare replied, making Cearúil roll his eyes a bit. "Oh please, you can hardly stand half the men you associate with." Daire gave Cearúil a look but it didn't seem to ruin his calm demeanor. "It's called patience brother. People respond better to it rather than hasty action and a boisterous tone. It would be beneficial to try it with our generals some times." Cearúil shrugged. "You and I have ways of dealing with things. My way suites me just fine. I get things done with what uses the least amount of pondering and more action, something the government should learn from.""Indeed, it's effective for war Cearúil, not for running a kingdom." Cearúil wasn't fond of the way his brother was lecturing him, especially when his advisors were a group of ninnies that fretted all day over insignificant problems that could be solved in a days’ worth of time. He’d never say it to Daire directly, especially not in a situation with so many people around. After all they were the “models” for society. He respected his brother too much for that. “It has proved effective so far...” He looked to Marie and gave her an appraising look. He had noticed her face had taken on a slightly pink hue when Daire had kissed her hand. Was it a slight annoyance he felt? He looked back to Daire, trying to pass off his slight annoyance towards his brother. “Well, I came to also say the dinner will be served soon. You are welcome to sit with our family if you like, Marie.” Cearúil wasn’t hardly surprised by Daire’s openness to Marie. He was always kind towards everyone while Cearúil was his more grounded side. He looked to Marie with a faint look of curiosity at how she would take all this. After all it wasn’t everyday a woman was thrown between the brothers and then forced to be around them this long.

"I love coming here when the world feels too noisy sometimes." She commented, laying with her back to the deep black depths. If one was to go underneath of her, they would be able to see the tattoo at the top of her neck, right before it curved into her head and hair. As she just let her body float there, she smiled some, watching her amulet float out of the corner of her eyes.
"I am surprised you followed me." Niamh breathed, head and eyes the color of their surrounding turning towards the red headed meridian. "Not that I mind though." A soft look was on her face, though her emotions were thoroughly hidden with a bit of a mischievous glint in her eyes.. She almost wanted to laugh at the warriors odd behavior. He had followed someone that he thought was good with a blade to a secluded place and then dove into the pit where no one could see them from above. It was interesting, but Niamh didn't mind. It wasn't like she was trying to kill him and she highly doubted that he would be there to kill her. After all, he had plenty of opportunity to do so before the fish had begun to reflect the light of the moon.
"Tell me, Meridian." Niamh began, closing her eyes and letting the water be her senses. "What is it that you see on the battlefield? Do you fight for honor and glory? Or is it to protect that which you know and cherish? Maybe even something else all together..." It was a seemingly random question, her tone very nonchalant as though this was just general chatter to her. It was something that she judged character by, at least when it came to a warriors metal and heart.
