When the brothers started to lecture each other it made her slightly uneasy. She could sense the tension but she stood there and smiled. 'So one is a politician and the other is a war lord...but only one can have passion...' she thought to herself. Noticing Cearúil's eyes on her she kept a straight face, she was used to this pressure. "Oh I don't want to intrude on your family at the fest...But If I'm not intruding I would love to join your family for dinner." She was smiling an amused smile, knowing both brothers were waiting on her answer.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- He listened to her muse to herself, he knew it was rather stupid to come here alone with a bladed dancer but he felt that it was okay, and he was usually pretty good at knowing when it was okay. "I'm not afraid of you so why wouldn't I?" Watching the fish still float slowly up, he saw her reclining in the water. When she called him for what he was he looked at her with cold eyes, he hated being separated out by what he was, it wasn't fair-thought he did it himself. "The battle field...Its a playground. I fight for fun, things I love, Things I want-I fight to find some one worthy. If you cross blades with me and you are unworthy- Its death." He found the question slightly out of the blue but he answered it in a serious tone since it was a serious topic. "What do you fight for? On the battle field?" He wasn't too sure if he could ask her but he wanted to see what her response was because she seemed a bit off with just her persona of being a dancer with a back ground in blades, it didn't click well enough for him. His ears perked up when he heard the chimes for the dinner. "Its' time for me to return to the hall -The fest is about to begin- I have to see the King seated--Will you be come with?" He started to slowly rise from the depth looking at her for her response.

“Great.” The two responded, their voices variations of one another so that it sounded a bit odd. Cearúil took her hand and lead her after Daire, who seemed to be perfectly at place in appearance, but Cearúil could see how tense his brother looked. Almost as if he was worried about something…He wanted to ask but now wasn’t the time or place. When they entered the air room, they were greeted with smiles and courteous gestures those that even extended to curious looks at Marie. No one had seen her before with one of the princes yet why was she so close? Cearúil wasn’t uncomfortable under their stares, in fact he was more than used to it. He just didn’t like how dry he felt when leaving the wate. But they couldn’t have parties solely in the water. They had to entertain all of their guests, including the humans and Mermidian’s. The table was heavily separated by class. You could see that the few Mermidian’s sat closest to the the king while Meru and human’s varied by their rank within the hierarchy. As soon as they approached the King and Queen, the conversation in the room seemed to lower as if to hear what would happen. “Hello Father, Mother.” Daire said with a slight bow with his fist over his heart. Cearúil looked to his father and noticed Vin wasn’t present. “Where’s Vin?” “Probably enjoying himself, I hope. That man works himself too hard.” The Queen got to her feet, greeting Daire with a light kiss to the cheek before turning to Cearúil to do the same. She paused when she saw Marie, her eyes brightening with a curious twinkle. “My..who’s this?” She asked, trying to quell her obvious excitement at the prospect of meeting a new girl. Cearúil gave her a look, releasing Marie’s hand and hoping that his mother wouldn’t be overbearing with Marie. After all, she always delighted in seeing the grils that hung around her sons, since she was the only woman in her family and she’d always wanted at least one daughter. It was a plus that Cearúil was involved. “Ah, such lovely eyes. And that dress is just darling! It must have taken you forever to get your hair to stay so straight. But what’s that on your lips? So red-Cear honey did you see how cute her face is?” The Queen all but gushed, like a small girl would, making Cearúil groan internally and the King and Daire laugh. “Let her breath, my sweet. Welcome.” The King said with a warm smile but a very proud air about him. He seemed to be eyeing her for a moment, as if trying to judge if he’d seen her face before.

"Because you don't seem the type to follow strange women into the dark," Niamh commented in response, a small smile flitting onto her lips as she flipped herself over and swam a bit closer to Vin. His answer caused hone of her eyebrows to go up, her mostly blue hair falling away to show her finned ears that were pierce with strands of black and white pearls. "Those are not bad reasons, a bit selfish but everyone is." Was her response, her tone one of intrigue pointed towards Vin. An interesting character he had proven to be so far, she would like to spend time and talk with him some more but she knew that it wouldn't be the smartest idea to get attached to someone's company.
A light little chuckle came from Niamh when the red haired meridian returned her own question back towards her. However she didn't answer right away, the dinner chimes echoing from the distance. At his comment about her coming, she backed up a little, butting her lip a little. "If that was an inventation then I will come, but if not then I only pop in for a minute or so." It was a bit of an odd statement but she only had a little more than two hours left for her to have legs and then she was water bound for the next six hours. Swimming up out of the dark, she twirled around and aced Vin. "As for why I fight, it is because I must and for the chains of fate that bind me." With a little smirk at her somewhat poetically secretive response, she waited to see if Vin was asking her to join him or merely just a question of if she was going. She really had no reason to go, it would be good for information gaining, however, Niamh wasn't seated near any very important people. She was just the entertainment tonight now wasn't she; not pretending to be an officials wife or being paid to infiltrate to the higher ups. It was just a side job right now, not the family business.

Listening to the boys she smiled, that sounded odd, like brothers who didn't agree. She blushed when Cearúil took her hand and lead her off after his brother. The air breathers room was slightly chilly, However she was more concerned with the curious looks she was receiving. As she walked with the princes she did her best to seem important like she was proper, her chin up and her walk as a glide she did her best. Smiling as they approached the table she took a deep breath, since she felt slightly uncomfortable in the air rooms. She stood back as the princes addressed their parents and she smiled with a modest blush on her cheeks. "Its a pleasure to meet you your majesty, My name is Maria Bellsario." As she spoke she bowed low to them both. Blushed a deeper shade as the queen fawned over her appearance. "Thank you your majesty- I'm honored to have such compliments from you. " She too her seat that Cearúil Offered her by him, she didn't mind sitting there, the queen was as nice as she was pretty. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vin Smiled," It is an invitation. So we may discuss the Mermidians you once knew more." He thought about her response very carefully- keeping it memorized for a later analogy. He wasn't too sure what she meant but he knew he was going to find out. Smiled he started to swim off towards the air breathers room- where the dinner was being hosted. He himself stopped just out side the barrier- making himself a small whirlpool of water to keep him upright as he entered the air chamber. He used the water to keep himself moving. Taking his 'seat' he was by the King and the other Mermidians, he saw a girl he wasn't too sure about but she was by the Warrior prince so he knew she wouldn't try anything stupid. "Sorry for being a little late I was talking with Miss Niamh, The swords woman form earlier- the handiest sword play I've seen since your son." He had bowed before he took his seat and he hoped that Niamh was ready and knew her manors in the presence of royalty.

“You flatter me too much darling.” The Queen said, glad to have her joining them. When Vin arrived the King’s look seemed to soften as if he relaxed a little more. Cearúil even felt a bit glad to have someone that put off a stronger presence around. Though he found it entertaining that Vin would chose to be in the company of a blade dancer, a thrill of a dangerous woman would draw any warrior in. He looked to Marie, his eyes taking her in for a moment. She was no blade dancer, no danger, and no bite that he could tell that could be worse than her bark. She was a pretty face and…there was something underneath that properness of hers that made him want to figure her out. (Sorry this is short but must wait for Elfy to join in on the fun so I can bring on the drama)

As they entered the air domed room, Niamh couldn't help but shiver as her body transformed into that of a land walker. It was always an odd sensation, one she didn't know if others felt. Watching how Vin went into the air room, Niamh was somewhat surprised but also not shocked, after all Meridian's did have magical capabilities.
As they walked up to the royal family, Niamh stood straighter and walked with more grace, she hadn't expected to be in front of the royal family and thus was not in a dress as most of the women were. Instead a less revealing top and her dance skirt was her attire. Fist to her chest, she half bowed, half curtseyed in respect, smiling at Vin's comment. "That is much to generous a complement, Sir Vin." Her tone was much more formal now as she turned her deep blue orbs to the King and Queen themselves. "I am truly honored to be in the presence of your Majesty and Madam, you look absolutely lovely tonight." She nodded to both of them, avoiding eye contact as she wasn't of any true status. Not sure how they would react to a stranger, she saved greeting the princes until it was obvious she should do so. "I must apologize for my attire, I had no idea that I would have the pleasure of meeting the royal family." She smiled softly, her full pink lips and pretty face seeming to fit in with the crowed, her dress not so much though. However, she was being very polite and formal, as she had been told to be. Sure she had infiltrated parties and talked with people of status before, but never the top of the ladder.
((I guess this is how someone would behave? I'll edit if necessary.))

Maria looked at Cearúil when she felt his eyes appraising her as if looking for a secret she was hiding."Can I help you with some thing Prince Cearúil? Staring isn't polite. She said in a low but polite tone. She knew she was acting Caty but she earned it since he was being impolite. She had been looking him over all evening, his toned battle sculpted body- he was a killing machine. Thought she didn't know if he could be anything more- he didn't like society's rules he liked war's rules-easy to understand and not mucked in politics. "So Sir. Vin- Its a pleasure to meet a Mermidian of such standing and wonder."She was looking at the red headed Mermidian with a bit of a wondered expression since she had never seen a mermidian up close. "Have a seat please Niamh." Vin said before he turned to look at the Meru girl who was looking at him in slight awe. "Its a pleasure to meet you as well my dear. My King-Queen, Prince Daire, Prince Cearúil, I apologize for being late."He said in turn as he looked at them all. He didn't like being late to such things but he did occasionally get distracted.

(sorry long but worth it. Sorry I kinda am jumping to drama but I'm too impatient ) Cearúil blinked at her comment, surprised by the directness and bite it had. He looked away from her, his eyes flicking to Vin briefly when Marie addressed him. Of course people were interested in the Mermidian, they were the rare breed after all. "Let's not let it happen again." Cearúil said in response of his apology, not in spite of Vin, just a statement. "Well then, welcome Nimah." Daire said and Cearúil looked to her then. "Yes, go ahead and take a seat." The time began with a idle chat before finally the king rose to his feet. “Guests, welcome. I will not take the all of the credit for this celebration, of course. For not my sons there would be no celebration.” He said gesturing to them stand. Daire and Cearúil stood obediently. “ A few words for us please my sons.” Daire bowed his head to his father before looking to the people. “Our city is a great one, our kingdom vast, and our countrymen are the strongest of the oceans. Let it be that these days of our prosperity continue for generations to come.” Daire looked to Cearúil, offering him a chance to say something. “Long live Atlantica.” Cearúil said, nonchalantly, the two receiving sounds of agreement from the people in the room. The King smiled, a proud fatherly smile that he only showed when surrounded by his family. Cearúil felt a small bit of satisfaction seeing that smile, knowing he’d done a job well done. "In honor and in life. Fortune to Atlantica." The king boomed, raising his cup with the rest of the royal family, except their mother who refused to have alcohol. "To Atlantica." The people called, before the family took the first drinks of the toast. Cearúil expected to feel the sweet alcohol fill his mouth with its strong taste. Instead, he was hit with a bitter sensation that made his throat burn when the bit of liquid traveled down and his tongue recoil from the rest. He revolted at the taste dropping the cup as he coughed at the taste....that was somewhat familiar. No sooner had he looked up to yell at the servant did he see the event taking place. Daire spat the drink out, his eyes wide and questioning as he dropped his own cup. "What-?!" Their mother's shriek interrupted Cearúil, making the princes turn in time to see their father hit the floor. Cearúil was the first to move, since his actions were wired to pure instinct when it came to dangerous situations. He knelt by his father who looked completely disoriented as he twitched and gasped. Cearúil didn't look panicked, unlike his mother and Daire, who knelt at the king's other side. Cearúil touched his father's wrist and noticed how small his veins seemed to be. The realization hit him...the reason the taste seemed familiar, the reason why his father was struggling so with his heartbeat. "Is it poison?" Daire said and Cearúil only nodded as he tried to work on their father. "Go, calm the people. I'll help father." Cearúil said as he took the dagger from around his waist and split the king’s shirt open to start compressions. "Everyone don't drink from your glasses or touch the food. Just remain calm.." Daire called to the people before turning back to his brother who was trying to get his father’s heart working again. Cearúil knew the poison, a very toxic type of poison from a fish that damaged the stomach, making the body shut down including the blood stream by constricting the flow of blood to the heart. Normally odorless and tasteless with no real sign of contamination, even less than a teaspoon could stop a man’s heart in minutes. With a high enough dosage like this that they were able to taste it, it could kill a man in seconds. It even made Cearúil feel a pang of fear sitting in his gut, where the poisonous liquid now sat. He’d been conditioned to this kind of poison before, for his safety on a battle front in a foreign nation, but at this high a dosage he wasn’t sure what could happen? “Daire, you didn’t drink it did you?” He asked Daire, who quickly shook his head. “No-I couldn’t swallow it-“ He said, before he was forced to return to subduing the panicked public. Cear looked back to his father and saw the man’s eyes were growing dull and the labored breathing he was giving was growing shallow. He touched Cearúil’s arm, making him flinch slightly and mess up his rhythm. Cearúil could see it in the man’s eyes. He wasn’t going to survive. Cearúil swallowed hard as he looked into his father’s eyes, soon joined by his mother. The two watched in horror as the king gave one final fleeting smile before his eyes fell closed and he died. The people in the room were in a panic, some horrified while others were terrified. It was complete chaos in the room, but none of it seemed to faze Cearúil. Cearúil seemed frozen for a long moment, rigid as if he couldn’t think or move. He couldn’t tell whether he was angry, sad, or whatever he was feeling. He felt completely and totally numb. He hardly noticed he was shaking slightly till his mother fell forward, crying her eyes out in sorrow on her dead husband’s chest. Daire heard the noise and looked to his family. His face warped into a physically pained look before he too was left standing still. After a long breath, Cearúil got to his feet, his expression serious and cold. He was in general mode at the moment, the only thing that was keeping him sane at the moment. “Vin, gather the guards and preform crowd control. If anyone opposes you or seems suspicious, you are free to act as you see fit.” He barked before looking to Marie and Niamh. “Stay away from the crowds and keep a level head. This is not the time to panic like the others.” It was a way of him saying be safe, but in a way that sounded more like an condescending order than a sincere hope for their good health as he turned to help the guard’s stop the panic.

Vin was standing not two foot from the family while this was going on- he had sensed something was off and was alert when people suddenly started dropping he stood up- knocking his chair over. Maria was in her seat a bit shocked, staying seated she as calm, having seen the effects of poison before. Taking deep breaths she did her best to keep from screaming when the king was declared dead by the queen's sobs. watching as Cearúil took command of the scene she couldn't help but think he had been threw too much in his young life time to not be phased by death. "Cearúil--A-Are you okay?" She asked as she reached out and gently touched his sleeve. Vin had done as he was told- not wasting a second - shouting orders to the guards and put a few people down by a whirl pool of water. He went to talk to a few other Mermidians who were using their talents to calm the crowd. They always made the lessors listen- weather they liked it or not. "Sir- The crown is as good as tamed- some are being put to a temporary stand still till further notice. The kitchen staff as well have been isolated and contained." Vin said as he reverted himself to the old military self he was under his aristocrat. Taking a long breath Maria tried not to cry herself, she knew this evening was going too well. Nothing went this well-Ever. She steadied herself and looked at the Blue and gold haired Meru who had been the entertainment that was also and acquaintance of the Vin. "What do you propose we do?" She did her best to seem level headed and calm when inside she was feeling like a scared cornered animal.

Sitting as she had been asked to, Niamh watched and listened to all that was going on. She lifted the glass when the toast came but did not drink. This was not a special enough occasion in her mind to dare touch the alcohol to her lips. Some chemical in it disagreed with her amulet, though on occasion she would indulge. However, she shakily set the cup down as the unthinkable happened.
Her breath caught in her throat momentarily as she saw the king fall and one of the princes spit out the wine. The shriek of the queen breaking Niamh loose as she could see everything going on about the room. Glancing at Vin as he took his duties, all she could do was watch from the side lines, her shocked face slowly turning angry; the fire burning behind her eyes grew with each passing moment.
She turned her head as the woman who had escorted the warrior prince spoke to her. Gritting her teeth, her deep blue eyes flashed with a burning anger. "For you sit tight and stay steady" She said in a very soft voice, as if she was in no mood to talk right now and she wasn't. She didn't see how any siren could have infiltrated such a party and poison the wine without someone noticing or without paying off one of the kitchen staff. That meant that it was more likely that it was an assassin of the mere peoples lineage. That was very unlikely though in and of itself and if it was indeed someone not of the sires, then it would make Niamh very very angry. She had been taught that they king was off limits. No matter how much money you were offered, no matter the favors promised, your allegiance was to the king and the royal family, anyone below was fine. Her family was top yes, but the royal family was the line that she must not cross unless her family changed sides and Niamh sure as hell hadn't.
Turning to the pretty woman once more, Niamh sighed. "Comfort the prince and try to help if you can. As for me..." She spoke in a confident tone, one that showed she was used to chaos, not unlike battle. She was used to death and people freaking out after a murder. She had been with her father and her brother many a time, though she had yet to be able to assassinate someone herself; Niamh's clumsy nature always seeming to get int he way. Finding Vin, she walked up to him and grabbed his arm, spinning him to face her. "Take me to the kitchen staff, now Sir Vin." She asked in a way, her eyes burning and a look on her face that made it obvious she would go with or without him, despite his attempts to stop her.

Cearúil moved along the crowd his eyes taking in people, their faces and expressions. Where he looked for suspicion and odd behavior he found only terror and unease. It made his anger get the better of him, start to boil inside of him trying to fill the pain he was feeling that he couldn't tell if it was from sadness or the poison. By now the servants had removed his father’s body, taking the queen away with him. Refusing to pay attention to the procession he turned his attention to a group of guards who were hassling a servant. "Report." Cearúil ordered and one of the guards turned. “We've apprehended the human who served the drinks. He refuses to offer information.” Cearúil's eyes narrowed to slits. He pushed past the guards and walked up to the man, glowering down at him. The man looked positively petrified while staring up at the Prince’s fury. “Speak! What do you know?” “Nothing sir. I swear it!” He shouted, his voice going up an octave in terror. Cearúil noticed something in the man’s eyes, the way they shifted ever so slightly. Cearúil felt his jaw clench, as he tried to take in a calming breath through his nose. “I don’t like liars.” He said rather calmly, a very bad sign for Cear. In the blink of an eye he snatched the servant off the floor, pinning him to the wall with a dagger to his throat. “Please sire, have mercy-I don’t know anything-!” “Sir, I think he’s telling the truth-“ “Silence, I’ve long forgotten mercy. Be thankful I haven't removed your head from your shoulders yet. Now start talking!” “I don’t know anything!!!” The dagger bit into the servants neck, so much so the servant let out a cry of pain and blood trickled from the cut. Before Cearúil could silence him, he was suddenly snatched back by the guards. “You-What are you doing-?!” He shouted, as they restrained him. He struggled against them till he saw Daire walk from the crowd. “Stopping you." Cearúil narrowed his eyes at Daire. "Brother, release me! This man knows something!"Daire shook his head, giving Cearúil a pained and sad look. "You’re not thinking reasonably Cearúil. I can’t have you harming any of the servants, or causing more trouble for the guests.” Daire looked to the guards, “With the area secure, we need to make sure the killer is not amoung the guests..then let them leave. We can't hold them hostage-not in a time of panic.” “Daire, you can’t just do this-the killer is still-!” Daire gave his brother a severe look, one that made Cearúil tense silently. “But I can do whatever I wish Cear. Though out of something tragic... I am now king. Now I'm in charge of Atlantica's welfare...” Cearúil felt his breath catch in his throat as Daire looked to the soldiers. “Men, escort the Prince from the area, on the grounds that he isn’t fit at the moment to assume leadership.” Cearúil gave Daire a glare before he stomped on the guards foot behind him, slinging the other to the floor. When more of the guards went to restrain him next, Cearúil held up a hand to them and the instantly stopped. “Fine. If that is what the king believes is in the best interest of the people... I’ll see myself out.” He said, taking his leave out the doors with everyone else that was being guided out. Cearúil walked along the halls separating himself from the group to go down the other more quite moon lit hallways. There the silence filled him providing no escape from his thoughts. ‘I am King now...’ Cearúil could hear his brothers words echo in his head, making his frustration burn. How could his brother treat him like this? Force him way from the scene using his power? Was it that no one could rely on him? Daire couldn’t rely on him to protect everyone anymore. He had failed… He suddenly felt a pain hit him in his stomach making him stop and gasp. Something was welling up in his chest, something that made him ache so much he felt tears welling in his eyes. “The poison it’s got to be…” He coughed as he leaned against the wall for support. Unable to stand he let himself sink to the floor. He tried to breath but for some reason it was shaky. It had to be the poison making him like this....right? That was the reason he felt so cold, so sick, so pained... Over and over in his mind he kept seeing the images fly by, and again he kept seeing his father. He could almost hear the words of praise from his strong voice, see his rare smile as he talked of the plans he had for Atlantica, feel his hand ruffle Cearúil's hair as a child as he approved of his training. ‘He’s dead...I couldn’t protect him…’ He thought, cursing the weakness that made the back of his throat ache. He had failed. All that training, all the battles, all that time...he was a warrior, sowrn to protect...and yet he couldn't take the sight of this death. He was ashamed of his tears the ones that fell from his eyes as he watched the moon reflecting off the water. He wasn’t sobbing or making mournful noises like his mother, but simply sitting there letting the tears fall silently. ~~~ A laugh floated in the ballroom, a woman giggling to herself as she watched the scene taking place. She was humming a happy little tune, whose words were not known by anyone. She kept to herself, simply watching, not leaving with the others. Her eyes were drawn to certain people in particular the Mermidian, the warrior prince, the pretty girl in green, crown prince, and the blue Meru…She lifted one pale hand and looked into the ball of light that floated near her fingers. Her smile faded and she looked to the scene again. "Oh...well I'll be damned." She whispered before she suddenly disappeared in a whirl of water. ~~~ "Are you alright?" Daire asked, offering the servant who'd been wounded by Cear a cloth to clean the blood from his neck. "Yes, Crown-I mean my King-I mean-" Daire gave the man a soft look before shaking his head. "It's alright...please just relax and head to the kitchen to clean yourself off. Alright? We'll resume questioning later." The servant nodded, before hurrying to the kitchen. When he reached the kitchen, he gave a sigh. The staff around him looked frantic, having been out of loop till only seconds ago. The servant however looked complacent as he walked over to the counter and sat down. He had done it...actually gone through with it...He hadn't expected them to carry out the plan like that. After all he'd been in the dark for all the planning, he just was the in, the person to take care of things. But now with the castle in panic, the princes out of their element, and even the mighty Mermidian's in a state of uproar, it seemed things were going according to what they wanted...Whoever they were...

She was used to being told to site tight but she didn't really want to. "I'll try. She got up and approached the prince, he was busy but he also looked like he needed some help. AS he scanned the crowd she approached him and stood there just behind him, about to say something until some thing caught his eyes. A group of guards were hassling a servant- but as she watched her face didn't change to that of shock as many's did- it was calm and understanding of his actions. She followed him out however, no knowing if it were appropriate but she did so any how. Staying a bit behind him she followed him out into the quiet moon light hallways. When she saw him almost doubled over with tears in his eyes she didn't know weather to let him be in grief or if he were in pain for another reason. As he sank to the ground silently letting tears slip he looked so upset, she approached him." My prince I beg your forgiveness, but I followed you so that I might comfort you." She noticed how shaky and weak his breath sounded and her brow creased in concern. She sat down beside him- her dress about her. She put a hand on his hand trying to comfort him. She didn't know what pain he was feeling but she hoped she could take some- she hated seeing people hurting. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vin looked at her with a bit of a glare," Resiveldita - Take her to the staff- I am busy here." He called to another Mermidian who wasn't doing anything in particular. He nodded and jumped up to do as he was told- knowing Vin would kill him if he didn't. He didn't talk much just did as he was told and waited for her to follow threw a small servants door that lead straight tot he kitchen from the dinning room.

Niamh couldn't help but roll her eyes at the red haired meridian. It seemed as though he was very distracted and unsure with what to do in such a situation. Then again, most people didn't expect their king to be killed in the middle of a party for which they were holding for a battle won.
Following the meridian that had been ordered to escort her, Niamh couldn't believed that Vin had allowed her to go to the kitchen. She must have sounded important and he wasn't thinking well enough so he just agreed. That of course could be a big mistake on her part as he would almost guaranteedely be in if she did something she wasn't supposed to.
Entering the small doorways, she glanced at the meridian. "I guess, you only follow orders then. Most would question their commander for sending someone non military to one of the most locked down areas." She commented with a smirk, though she was wondering how much time she had left on her amulet. She had lost track and hoped she had enough time to do what she wanted to do and that was find and hurt the one responsible...badly.

Cearúil flinched when he heard a voice and felt a hand on his. He looked quickly to Marie, his eyes narrowing but not enough so to be truly spiteful. "I don't-" He cleared his throat when his voice cracked. "I don't need comfort." He finished before looking back to the scene from the open room. He however neglected to move his hand from her's. "I need that murder gagged and gutted-" "He paused, shaking his head as he brushed his eyes free of tears. "Shame, I can't even hold my tongue, can't be of use, and let even you sneak up on me..." ~~~ Daire walked into the kitchen, his eyes set on the people that worked there. His gaurds came in behind him, looking on edge and ever watchful. "People, please, understand that the situation is under control. Under my watch nothing shall come to pass that will prove a danger to any of you...all I ask is that you answer our questions, give any information possible." The room fell silent, as if all of them were calmed by Daire's presence, he had that effect on people, since he had the calm exterior of a leader. "What's she doing here?" A gaurd growled when he saw Niamh but Daire gave him a wave of his hand. "She is welcome. The blade dancer has knowledgable eyes...a quick thinker if I'm not mistaken." Daire looked to her, raising an eyebrow at her.

She tightened her grip on his hand and pulled it just below her neck, to comfort him, her mother always comforted her this way-she hoped it work. "You are upset- Oh course your senses are over wrought- Think nothing of it Prince Cear. Please I beg of you. Don't beat your self up over this- its not your fault. She moved a bit closer to him- he needed to either vent or cry- when a loved one dies before ones eyes it could get nasty. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Vin took a deep breath as the crown was finally out and the room was clear looking around he didn't see the princes- he went to check on the queen who was still sobbing over the dead king, He bowed to the king as a truly honored Meridian would and kissed his hand- one thing that would usually bring a meridian down a peg in pride- but he was a good king and a proud man so he didn't mind. He then left out the window to find The princes, to check on them. He looked threw a few halls and saw the warrior prince with Maria comforting him, he nodded to her, she looked a bit shocked to see him but nodded back then returned her attention to Cear. Then heading to the kitchen where he knew Daire would be he stopped just inside the door way looking at every one there. The prince was comforting the people and he was allowing Niamh to stay- which he didn't remember fully letting her down here but if Daire allowed it she was fine. "Daire- We need to talk- Your father and I have previously discussed the suppression instructions- I am to assists you in this. When you are free later- we shall discuss." Little did Daire know the mother was in charge at the moment till he was properly coronation into the thrown but Vin was required to assess him there and see if he was fit for it. The king spoke to him about it just a few days ago when he returned to the family's castle.
