The sunset sky over the city skyline was a calming sight from the bed of the old Ford Pickup that was parked off the forest trail in an open clearing that overlooked a decent sized cliff drop off. It wasn’t uncommon for people to come out to the outlying forest, mostly because it was a beautiful preserved area of wildlife that was open for mountain biking, camping and hiking. Also it had plenty of space and areas for time away from the city noise. It was Stella’s favorite place, one of the only places she felt normal. “Pretty.” Stella said as her eyes took in the beautiful sight. Noah, who was reclining next to her gave a small nod. “Yeah, now I remember why we spend so much time up here.” Noah joked, making Stella smile to herself at how he made it sound. It wasn't like they were up there every day. Only the ones both could spare from work and school. “And because this has been our spot to hang out since we could drive.” She said sarcastically and Noah nodded, giving a soft smile. She was sure he could remember the days when they were kids, escaping from the house to play elsewhere, away from the adults. They were close, had been since they were children, to the point they were more family than friends. Even her mother thought of Noah as another son, especially with as much time as he spent with Stella. “ Yeah yeah.” He said poking her side playfully. Even though she had moved away to a city away, they made a point to meet up every once in a while. He was her best friend...despite the fact she knew deep down that it was a bad idea. She couldn’t help but want to feel normal again…and he gave her that… She was in the process of sitting up better in the next to him when she caught Noah staring at her side where her shirt rode up. She tensed at the eyes on her scar, since it did look terrible. The skin was raised and reddish, the tear lines in her skin divitted deep in in her side. She never liked anyone to see them, not even herself. It was a terrible reminder of the day she was attacked by a beast that changed her life forever. She quickly tugged her shirt back down, making Noah snap out of it. She didn’t blame him for being caught off guard. This was the first time he had seen the scar. When she was in the hospital, her mother kept everyone away since it was a fiasco just having her in a coma. Noah told her he visited as often as he could, but by then she had been bandaged and sutured up. At least he looked sorry about being caught staring. Most just gawked… “So that’s it?” He asked, his voice a bit quiet. He knew this was a touchy subject for her…and yet he asked…why would he ask? “Yeah…” Stella said as she fixed her shirt and folded her arms to make sure it stayed down. Noah gave a breath of unease through his teeth, the hissing sound hurting her ears. “Tell me about it.” She said with a stoic expression, her unease clear in the way she avoided eye contact. The memories were still as fresh as the day she received that scar: She could feel the beast on her, ripping into her flesh with its teeth and claws while she fought back with gurgled screams. The phantom pain filled her senses, making her heart throb in her chest and a pain hit her stomach. The terrified feelings associated with the memory made her alert, to the point she could heart Noah's breathing was uneasy and his heart was thumping in his chest. The sound was irritating honestly, to the point she wanted cover her ears to block it out. But her other heightened senses wouldn't allow her to escape that. She could smell nervous sweat coming from his pores and the smell of something deeper and spicier like cologne burning her nose. Why would he wear that mess? Didn't she tell him she hated it? Noah blinked at her response, his brows furrowing in a show of concern. “Sorry Stella. I didn’t mean to bring it up—it’s just…” His hand was suddenly on her shoulder, gripping it with a pressure that made her mind work in over drive. She was upset about memories and her mind was not in a good place. She felt her body lock up, a low growl rumbling in her throat before she lashed out at the hand on her. She snatched it off of her and twisted it mid sentence, glaring at Noah with an almost predatory gaze. “If you want to talk about it, I’m here for you--ow Stel--” Noah looked frozen, shocked into submission under her glare. Stella could smell something else and her keen eyes picked up the slight tremble of his eyes, his iris's dilating. He was afraid of her... And the sick part was she almost felt like she liked it. Before her mind could sink her down further, a pain rocketed through her limbs, making her gasp and quickly drop his hand. She pulled away, getting as far away from him in the truck bed as she could. The pain was coming in wave like contractions now, causing her body to visibly tremble with an effort to stay together. She caught a look of Noah as he saw her struggling and tried to reach out a hand to help. She shook her head slowly to let him know she didn't want his comfort without words. She couldn't speak anyways past another large spasm of pain taking hold of her as she backed off the truck. She fell into the grass on her ass, holding her middle as the pain rocked through her core. She had to get away. If she didn't, Noah would be left with the beast... She scrambled to her feet as he tried to get off the truck. The moment her feet touched grass, she took off in a sprint her heart throbbing with the pain of the forced change. She had waited too long again, had tried to keep the beast at bay longer this time than last. It was stupid of her to ignore the urge to change. She knew that but she didn't want this curse and thought that if she just ignored it...it would just go away. “Wait, Stella!” Noah was gaining on her and she cursed him for his cross-country endurance that made him perfect at mad sprints. Even with all the benefits the curse gave her, speed was never her forte. She tried to push herself harder, but the push tugged at something raw within her. It was a need to go faster and the knowledge that she should fear no normal man. She shouldn't be running. She should stand and fight. She pushed the thoughts away, but it wasn't long before they were all she think about over the sounds of her labored breathing and his pulse ringing in her ears like raging tinnitus. In her mad dash, she missed a low growing root that caught her foot, sending her to the forest floor. Her shoulder hit first before her head rebounded off the ground, knocking the air and sending sparks through her vision. Blood...she could smell the coppery scent coming from her and knew she had hit her head on a rock...She felt her vision blurring and the familiar pain was becoming unbearable. She couldn't hold on much longer and she could feel her consciousness fading fast... "Stella--Oh my god! Hold still--You're bleeding. DOn't move!" She felt Noah's caring hand on her shoulder and all she could do was let a whimper escape from her lips. She couldn't hold the change back anymore...and Noah was going to suffer for it. “St-Stella?” Was the last thing she heard before everything went dark... ~~~~ “Hey kid, get up!” Stella woke with a start, her eyes bolting to her surroundings and reflexively checking her body for any sign of blood. She was shaking hard and her breathing was shallow, showing she was not all there...where was there? Was she back in the forest? Was she waking up again, naked and alone to the blood bath and gore that was her friend? No....No, she was in the back of a cab, not in the woods with Noah...She sat up properly, her mind whirling with fearful thoughts as she tried her best to ground herself. It had been five years since Noah passed...No was murdered.... “No sleeping in the cab!” Stella's eyes flicked up to the cab driver, her face turning swiftly apologetic when she saw he had stopped his meter and was looking impatient. She quickly fished for her wallet, producing the large sum for the ride. It had been about two hours out of the way of the airport to this tiny little North Eastern town out in the middle of nowhere...Blaelock was a tiny German lakeside town, once a fishing village in Wisconsin that had long since been home to only locals and fishermen. However, a prestigious upstart private institution decided to fund the building of a massive university that was harder to get into than perhaps Guantanamo. It was selective, pretty much only allowed people to come in who either had connections or by invitation. The little town of Blaelock grew to be a college town, steeped more in locality and tradition like the university. How Stella got in she sure as hell didn't know, but without the scholarship she was offered, she would have never accepted it. The cab sped off, leaving her alone with her bags at the campus gates that looked to be as old as the massive campus. Buildings there looked insanely old, gothic architecture and stone work littering the campus. The main entrance to campus was surrounded by a massive greenery and walkways that were covered in garden like plant life that was trimmed to cultured perfection. Honestly, she felt like she walked onto the set of an old movie. She half expected a lady in period clothing to come prancing out on the lawn with a parasol to join her gentlemen callers for tea. Students milled about of every race and age, some looking scholarly and others looking surprisingly average. She was glad to see this wasn't a Princeton environment where everyone looked like a snob. Despite the finery of the school, it looked weirdly normal. Stella grabbed her bags and worked her way onto campus to pick up her information at the registry tables set up in the main hall of the admissions building. Crowds of people milled about, talking and wandering around to look at the old German architecture and dated artifacts and antiquities that littered the main foyer. Stella found her last name letter and got in the massive line, collecting her materials and class list for the week. As a freshman she had her schedule planned for her apparently. All she had to do today was go find her dorm and then meet later than day at a freshman orientation seminar in some Grand Ballroom. She gave a huff, making her way back onto the greenery and looking anxiously at the different buildings. She had no idea where she was going and didn't expect to be as lost as she felt... ~~~ Jaeger sat at his desk, his hands fidgeting in his lap from where he leaned back in his seat all too casually. His dorm room was a nice size surprisingly, nicer than anything he had stayed in before for a mission like this. Not that he intended to stay longer than a few weeks anyways. Usually, his department assigned these low level assignments to those that were just starting out as Hunters. Jaeger had only been promoted a year and felt he showed enough initiative to never have to go back to this ridiculous easy targets again. The Beasts at the college age were young, packless, stupid and usually got themselves killed by packs in the area or by sheer happenstance that a Hunter caught onto them. They were usually cocky enough to take a Hunter on and usually didn't understand the danger that their disorganization and lack of posed them. They were easy kills that wasted his damn time...But he did what his superiors told him...feeding those promises that one day he would get a real assignment with some grit. He banked on that...prayed for it...hunted for it. He gave the room another once over, noticing his things were already neatly put away, his bed made and there was little else for him to do. His roommate however had yet to show up and he wondered a moment what civilian they would shove him with. He knew there were other hunters in the area, working the same cases, but he was not allowed to really know who they were unless they stumbled upon each other. It kept the other's identity safe incase of a breach of security or a hunter was taken hostage. The Beasts were sick things that liked to torture a man long enough to get what they wanted. He watched a Beast rip someone in half once, an advancing recruit that was thrown into The Pits to fight with one a superior had captured for testing and information that had outlived its usefulness. It was a right of passage of sorts for high level members to join the ranks of Honored Hunters. Jaeger wanted to reach that title one day...but it seemed further from him than ever doing menial jobs like this... ~~~ Luke's eyes scanned the paper in his hands, his serious expression giving away that he didn't want to be bothered and hardly noticed the outside world. He was focused on the words, each syllable he was committing to memory. As president for the student council on campus, he needed to be sure he memorized that page. He was giving the orientation speech for the freshman since the Dean couldn't be bothered. Honestly the man was off somewhere enjoying his glory days in Hawaii probably. He had a right to since the university pretty much ran itself...The whole place was a like a hive of bees, all working and building a community that everyone benefitted from. While there were problems here and there, each person looked after the other and expected the respect of that person taking care of themselves in return. The community was by no means tiny, but it was also not massive like other universities of it's like. It kept this university off the maps and out from under fire of media and problematic attention. It was just the place for his kind to blend, to be safe...Safety was so difficult for them to find anywhere, especially in this world of media and less privacy. Over the centuries they had to get crafty, resourceful and hardly lived up to the pride of packs centuries before Luke's birth...but those days were over, and the dawning of a new era was ample room for them to grow into something else...Something stronger and prouder... Luke was in the middle of reciting sentence to himself when someone bounded behind him, throwing an arm around his shoulder. "Reiner, you look so serious." Luke's eyes flicked to a young, red headed female on his right that was looking to him with a pouty look on her face. Her scent mingled with his, reminding him of their familiarity and closeness. He knew she smelled something similar, hence why it was so easy to find each other, even in this crowd in the courtyard. "It's Luke, Karin." He muttered, his eyes going back to his papers, much to her huffy displeasure. She released him, instead turning her attention to the paper. "So you doing that speech thing today?" She asked, her eyes narrowing at some of the larger words that even she had no clue what they meant. Karin was terrible at English. Luke blamed it on her texting too much. "Of course. Someone has to make sure the freshmen don't get swallowed up by this place..." His hand gesturing to the courtyard of unfamiliar faces, only to exemplify that these kids were no more than fresh meat in his opinion. It was hard to live on your own and survive...alot of these kids didn't get that, or at least wouldn't by just living here. No, few would ever discover what true survival was about...Karin saw he was looking distracted and gave him a hard pat on the shoulder that startled him from his daze. She stuck her tongue out at him when he looked at her with a surprised look that broke his usual calm. It was a social taboo in their culture to strike the Alpha, hell to even be this familiar. But Karin didn't care. Luke was her Brother first and foremost, and her Alpha second. Besides, everyone in the pack knew she got away with anything because he had a soft spot for her. The few that remained here with them on this campus and hadn't moved away for their own lives to start, especially noticed the favoritism. It was hard not to in a situation where your entire world revolved around the orders of another person... "Alright. Well try not to be late to the welcoming party for the freshmen tonight. Kass and Belle are working on getting the stuff together at the dinning hall and I don't want to listen to Belle bitch about you being late..." Karin waited for Luke to nod, knowing she needed to make sure she had that confirmation before leaving to attend to her roommate situation. Luke never went back on his word, that she trusted. When she got an almost begrudging nod from him, Karin kissed his cheek and ran off, perhaps to cause more trouble for him to fix later. Either way, he loved her dearly, like any brother would love their sister. He tried to go back to reading over his speech, but a lost looking freshmen rammed into his shoulder, causing the papers to scatter with the breeze. He caught two of them, but the others began to flutter away from him onto the green between walkways and incoming students. He gave a heavy sigh before hurrying to catch them. The first day back was already turning out to be splendid wasn't it? ((Open to all who wish to join. Nilo took a deep breath. The scent of damp earth and pine flooded into him. He could taste the scent of a deer not five yards away and the undertones of death in the opposite direction. As he opened his green eyes, the early morning sunlight pierced his them and his nose wrinkled as he squinted. His boots made little noise as he turned in the direction that death had presented from. He was attempting to hunt down a nasty little beast that had been roaming just south of Canada for the past two months. Tracking him had been more difficult than usual but Nilo was positive that he was close now. It wouldn't be much longer till he put the mutt down. He wasn't often asked to track such small game but when a stray mutt leaves a trail of bodies spanning multiple states, it becomes his business. He was one of the best trackers, though he had a bit of an upper hand... The cloying scent of death was becoming stronger, leaving a sickly sweet taste in the back of his mouth. Just past a ridge was where the scent was emanating from. when Nilo's eyes caught sight of the dead brunette boy, he let out a deep sigh and cocked his head to the side. He reached up and pulled his long curly hair into a bun before taking off his pack and pulling out a noxious smelling bottle and matches. This was just going to mean more work for him. He walked closer to the dead boy and stared down with cold eyes. Using his boot to push the bloodied face of the boy to the side, he narrowed his eyes and took another breath. Through the scent of decay and earth and pine he could detect the strong scent of the one he had been trailing. This dead boy whose middle had been ripped out, guts open to the skies above, was the killer he was looking for. The only problem was that the killer had now been killed and it wasn't Nilo or another hunter who had done the job. It had been a wolf which meant, almost for certain, that he was in a pack's territory. This now made things quite interesting. Using his bottle of gasoline, he dowsed the body and tossed a match, the body caught fire and a low growl emanated from Nilo. The scent of burning flesh was something he could barely stand. He waited for some time as the body darkened and burned, making sure that the surrounding leaves and wood were safe from the inferno. It was his job to make sure that there was no evidence after all. ~~~ It was some time later when Nilo pulled into Blaelock, a small fishing town in Wisconsin according to the signage and his own personal knowledge of the area. He had stopped here several times before, the small town a good place to restock and gather more intel. The town was never short on good rumors ever since the university decided to take root. He parked his old, green, and dented pickup truck into a small parking lot designated for the towns cheap motel. He stank of smoke of dirt and only wanted to take a shower. Still, he needed to make a report to his superiors first. He flipped open his cheap phone and dialed one. A terse sounding older woman answered the phone making Nilo pause in thought for a moment. It was his mother. "This is Nilo Syring, reporting in from Blaelock Wisconsin. I found the mutt in a forest just an hour north of my current location. He was dead with signs of other wolf interaction. I believe I have stumbled upon a pack territory. How am I to proceed?" He spoke with a cool tone, leaned back in the drivers seat with one hand gripping the groaning steering wheel, knuckles white. There was silence on the other end and then the hushed sounds of whispers but the poor quality of the connection prevented Nilo from understanding what was said. "We have a hunter in the vicinity and an initiate. They have their own assignments that you may assist them with. Investigate this pack territory and find out if there are more. I will prepare special instructions for you shortly. Go to the university and find the head of international studies. They will have more information for you." His mothers words were to the point with no room to argue. There was no asking in her voice either. This was what he must do. The line went dead before Nilo could reply and he swallowed his words of irritation before tossing the piece of junk cellular device onto his passenger seat. He started his truck with a rumble and pulled out of the motel parking lot, instead heading towards the university on the other side of town. He was rather irritated at the moment. That was the way his mother was though, never letting anyone know the full extent of their assignment until it was absolutely necessary. ~~~ Nilo's expression was one of cool indifference as he made his way through the crowded campus. He noticed eyes on him as he did not look the type to be here though maybe it had more to do with tyoung female hormones raging upon seeing him. He honestly didn't care and found the attention unwanted. He hoisted his pack a little higher on his back and stepped into one of the smaller buildings, its architecture reminding him of his homeland. The scent of wood polish and dust greeted him the farther he made it down the hall. He had asked for directions earlier and found to his pleasure that the building that housed international studies was one of the less popular buildings during the first few days of school being that no main events or information sessions were held there. It was quiet but for a few older students and some professors talking in Spanish walking the opposite direction of Nilo. After finding his way through a small maze of halls and stairs he stopped in front of a door that held a small plaquared next to it reading: Dean of International Studies Fredrick Alwardt. His body tensed, muscles coiling tightly in his back and neck as the dean's surname brought a familiar tug to his senses. He took a breath and the hair on the back of his neck stood as a scent from his past came crashing into him. He reached for the door and without knocking, flung the door open, harder than he had intended but he would not dare admit it. The resounding slam as the door hit the wall did not startle the salt and pepper haired bespectacled man sitting at the desk. The man looked up with a smug look of indiference, his brown eyes betraying no emotion. "I've been expecting you, Nilo." The dean spoke and Nilo just stared, his jaw tight. "What are you doing here, Alwardt?" Nilo finally managed to get out and the man simply smiled. "You know I don't have to tell you about any of my assignments buts let's just say you mother had a feeling you would find your way here and I was placed to keep an eye on you." Alwardt replied, seeming amused at Nilo's irritation. Nilo didn't reply to that and Alwardt released a sigh, removing his glasses and standing. He walked around the desk and looked at Nilo with a gaze that clearly stated he felt his status superior in all possible ways. "There are rumors going around of multiple packs in this area. We have several hunters spread across this town, though most are barely capable on their own. We want you to take up a teaching position at this university and keep an eye on the student body from the position of a--mentor." The smirk that came from Alwardt was enough to set Nilo's insides ablaze in a cold fury. It seemed that his old mentor still thought so little of his failure of a pupil. "Me teach? You must be a little soft in the head if you think I am going to--" Nilo began to put up an argument but the sound of Alwardt's hand slamming into the table sobered him up. "It is not a request, Nilo." Aldwardt picked up a post it note from his table and handed it to Nilo who took the small yellow piece of paper begrudgingly. "Take your things and get settled into your room. There will be a list of classes that you will be teaching and some basic class outlines. The cafeteria is open from five in the morning till nine at night and make sure to get a good nights rest. Your first class is tomorrow morning at eight. Tata." His words were light and airy, showing that he found humor in Nilo's situation. Nilo had many words he wished to speak to the man in front of him but held his tongue. This was one of the few people in the world who knew of his secret. As much as he despised the way Alwardt treated him, there was not a whole lot he could do about it. "Very well…sir." Nilo finally replied and stepped backwards out of the room, not bothering to close the door on his way out. A student bumped into him on his way out of the building but Nilo hardly noticed. This was not going to be a fun assignment. His mother knew that he did not do well around others. He preferred to work alone on tracking missions in the wild or in big cities. He could be anonymous there and not have to get to know anyone but now…him teach? The thought alone was laughable even to him. ~~~ ~~~ Her dark messy hair hung in the breezy air as Liza spun in a circle, admiring the beauty of the campus before her. The old school architecture and the variety of students making their way around was enough to make her excitement grow twofold. She couldn't believe she had convinced her parents to let her go to this school, especially after what had happened to her sister here. She bit her lip as she looked down at the campus map in hand and figured out where she needed to go to pick up her welcome packet. She found the admissions building on the map and then folded it up and stuck it in the bag slung across her shoulder. She began her short little journey to the building, dragging her suitcase behind her, all the while having a smile on her pretty pale pink lips. She was blown away by all of the stalls and people in the building, her excitement bubbling out from inside and showing plainly as a glow on her face. She found the line for 'M' and stood, gawking at everyone surrounding her. She had never been in such a crowd in her life. Her smile twitched as a thought of her sister passed through her mind. She wondered if her sister had been this excited on her first day too. Eventually she made her way to the front of the line and picked up all the information she would need, including her class schedule and assigned dorm room. Nibbling on her lower lip again, her excitement began to build again. She wondered who her room mate would be. The thought of making friends was enough to make her stomach churn in both excitement and nervousness. Her mood was sobered a bit though as the wind blew through the campus once more. The reason she had come here was not all for fun and games after all. She had an amateur investigation to run. Her phone range, a jaunty tune that pulled her from her thoughts and she stopped in the middle of the walkway to answer it, nearly getting run over by students who apparently didn't have the time to walk around a stalled body. She stepped onto the green grass and decided it would make a nice enough short cut, plus she could watch a set of older students playing Frisbee. "Hello?" She answered the phone, though she knew full well who it was. "Hey, sweetie! Dad and I just wanted to call and check up on you. How are you doing? Are you really sure you want to do this?" Liza's mother's worried voice came over the phone and Liza's lips pulled into a tight smile. "Hey, mom. I'm doing fine. I just picked up my information and am heading over to find out who my room mate is going to be." She explained, ignoring the fact that her mother was still trying to convince her to come home. It was a miracle in and of itself that she was able to come here by herself and not have her parents falling over her. "I see. Well, you know you are always welcome back ho--" Liza cut her mom off before she could get started on one of her rants. "I love you mom but I'm not that weak little girl any more. I want to do this for myself and for Caroline. Okay?" There was a sigh over the phone and she could hear the shaking in her mothers voice when she spoke next. It made her almost feel a little guilty. "Alright Liza, I understand. I love you baby girl." Her mother was trying her best to sound happy and a bitter expression formed on her face. "Love you too mom. I'll call you tomorrow and tell you how my classes go." She hung up the phone and began walking again only to have a piece of paper hit her in the face. She pulled it off, nearly dropping her phone and glanced over it. The wording reminded her of a speech and she glanced up to find a tall boy that looked to be just a little older than herself gathering stray papers. Her brow furrowed some but then smiled wondering if she might have a chance to make a friend. She made her way towards him and stopped a little short, holding out the page, her dark hair messy about her pale face, cheeks a little flushed from her nervous excitement. "Excuse me. Is this yours perchance?" She asked, flashing a smile towards the handsome boy .

The air in the room was awkward to say the least. Brenden hadn't ever really considered having a family again-much less a sibling. It was a harder way to come by one when they were the only survivors from the event. He was notified that his father was killed, in addition to having a half sibling- his alleged step mother had left him. The courts said she was a minor and he was her blood relative- half sibling- he knew that one for sure since they had included a DNA test for him. He knew it wasn't exactly fair to the girl he didn't know since he had a poor view of Werewolves. Her mother was a mangy thing that took advantage of his father and made him marry him, probably for money or even safety from the hunters' guild- he wasn't too sure but he ahd his ideas. ' A mangy good for nothing werewolf who preyed on humans- then got her little claws stuck in his father.' He was miserable when his father got married- hearing it was to a werewolf, and he wasn't okay with that. Brenden's mother was killed in an incident, he wasn't too clear how still to this day but he gave up on that. The academy made him give up on it as he progressed through training and learning what he needed to be successful as a hunter. He had been alone a while now, so the thought of having some one there with him was a little strange to him. He went into the room as he was directed, hands sweating a bit as he was nervous about meeting his family of his, he had no idea either- it bothered him a bit. He made sure his expression was blank as he kept his eyes on the floor towards the chair as he took a seat and slowly brought his eyes to the person sitting there across from him, noticing she was smiling at him... ------~~~------~~~------~~~------~~~------~~~------~~~------~~~------~~~------ It was September now, her parents having been dead 24 days now... It was hard to understand that fact- she was now alone, the two people had had considered her family were now in the ground. Her mother, she was sure had died protecting her father, of that she was sure. Paul had been a good man, her mother, Mia, a good person as well- she didn't exactly understand what happened but she was sure it was because of what they were. Her thoughts were brought back to the closer reality as soem one showed her into an office. The state had been accommodating, letting her stay in her old home to pack before shipping her off to a foster home a few days, now she was stuck at a police station. the place smelled of sweat and paperwork, something Sia wasn't overly fond of but she wasn't going to be there for long, she knew that. Sia felt she knew a lot of things by sent alone but that often got her in too deep and ended in trouble for herself. The seats were hard and cold, even though she had been sitting in this particular one about an hour now. The soda in her hands not helping the temperature of the room, making her shrug her jacket closer to herself. It was quiet, though she could still hear the life going on about her outside of the office that had the blinds drawn. The sounds of shuffling papers prominent and the tacking of keys on older key boards, humming of electronics, the muffled conversations all over the boards on topics. It was an odd feeling being there, though she knew the mysterious older brother of hers was coming to collect her- hopefully. Sia had always been told that her brother- well half brother was a good egg, so hopefully she wouldn't take this off and all wrong and try to institutionalize her for being who she was. That would just make her mad, but he was her family- she wasn't too sure she could actually hurt him- not to mention she heard he was a hunter. He had probably dealt with a good amount of others like her- way ward mutts it seemed that had problems with family... As the door opened, her heart rate sky rocketed as she looked at the new person. He was tall, kinda scruffy looking and his hair was a curly mess. It was the same color as her own hair, though hers was more manageable it seemed. That put a small smile on her lips as he took a seat, however when his silvery blue eyes met hers she knew in that instant he was related to her. Call it Instinct or hell- he looked just like her father had, a younger version perhaps. Taking a breath, she felt a nervous energy in her middle before she spoke, wanting to see if he sounded like her father as well- she missed him. "Hi..." Sia stated more as a statement then a greeting, wanting to hear him speak back... ------~~~------~~~------~~~------~~~------~~~------~~~------~~~------~~~------ When their eyes met he knew for a fact she was indeed related, the papers' hadn't lied- not that he had expected them to have. They both shared his fathers' eyes of a silvery blue, that was visible- it seemed the girl before him knew that was well. She was familiar looking oddly enough, though only in what he saw of his own father in her. From her high cheek bones to her skin tone, eyes- even her hair shadowed Paul. It was strange to see her but he knew he had to accept this. If he couldn't then he was sure he wouldn't have any family left- that wasn't a pleasant thought. Letting it slip from his mind's forefront as the girl spoke he gave her a small smile and a nod," Hello, I'm Brenden. Your half brother." he stated almost matter of factually to her to let the words soak in for himself self as well. The girl looked him over and nodded before speaking up it seemed. "Alright. I have to admit it, you look like the old man." She said in a small joking tone as she had always called her father 'old man' as a joke. Brenden smirked at her humor but simply nodded at her words, letting her make her own assumptions. "Well, I guess I should introduce myself. I'm Sia, Your little sister." She said expecting to be accepted with open arms however she expected soem response but got none from this man. He simply looked her over with a stoic look almost calculating- as if deciding if she was going to change and go after him. A small frown made its way onto her face as the silence grew to about a minute, the man still not speaking. Her foot began tapping on the floor to show her impatience seemingly getting the man's attention. The corner of his eyes tightened a slight bit to show he was displeased by the action. It didn't dissuade her however as she was doing it now to get a response out of him. Brenden's eyes twitched a bit as he heard her impatiently tapping her foot as he went over his thoughts in his minds. Foot tapping was a pet peeve of his and figured this girl was doing it on purpose now. "Do you mind not doing that?" He commented sounding a little annoyed. She knew the feeling of being annoyed when he asked her in a bit of a snide way but that got him a smirk. "Well-say something. I don't like to wait an hour for you to figure out what to say." She went on about at him, figuring he was going to think of her as a child even though she ahd graduated home school already. Brenden sighed, letting the harshness fall from his expression as her foot stopped tapping and she sat a little straighter in her chair... ------~~~------~~~------~~~------~~~------~~~------~~~------~~~------~~~------~~~------ The car ride was interesting to say the most. Brenden had learned a lot about this Sia, more then he wanted in all honesty but that was life. They had both spoken about themselves, telling of things they probably wouldn't have shared in a normal setting there int hat car on the way to their new home. He hadn't been informed of her education much less that she was ready for college, so he figured just drag her off to his own college- though he was older them most in college. It was a quiet town in a sense, easy to get around and the college was nice, plenty of people to mingle with. He had already had his information, having asked it shipped to him since he was going to be late to arrive. The campus however was a little dark at night, but she got over it before she followed Brenden through a bit of a cramped hall- pictures along the walls showing past classes who had already graduated it seemed. She was going to be rooming with him until her paper work went through the system to get her to go in, so this was going to be a long stay. Sia didn't trust easily so she was going to stick with Brenden weather he liked it or not, he was family and that was good enough for her to stick close. Entering the room, me motioned for her to put her bag down by the closet and be quiet, motioning to the bed- more or less telling her to be quiet and go to bed. He took a moment to set an alarm on his phone, plugging in the charger there by his bed before taking off his jacket and shoes. Having decided that changing in front of a girl was a little strange- even if it were his sister. He didn't mind sharing the bed, s it didn't bother him however later when he woke up randomly early in the morning- a bit before his alarm he noticed she was clinging to him-which made it hot- too hot to sleep. carefully he pried her hands from around his arm before rolling over and getting comfortable again knowing he wanted a bit more sleep...

Luke's eyes were locked on the last paper, watching carefully where it would land from the breeze. He was not the best hunter of his pack, but he at least had some of the basics of trajectory and speed down. His jog was slow since he wasn't too worried if the page fluttered away other than the idea that it was littering. Losing his speech was only another excuse for him not to even give it in the first place. Not because of stage fright. He was alright with public speaking since he had to do it often as the voice of his pack in local politics for their kind. He was nervous about putting himself in front of the humans and how his jealousy would get the better of him. Young, bright faces would be staring up at him with wide eyes excitement for their futures and the decisions they held that could make or break them. He didn't envy their mortal status. He was a proud Forstner and an even prouder part of their heritage and people. No, Luke envied their freedom of choice and their realness. They could be themselves without danger or worry. Sure, they hid petty secrets and worries. But none of their secrets could wind up with someone dead. Luke pushed the dreary thought away when he saw the paper shift, knocking his predicted course off track. Instead of hitting the lawn, the paper hit the face of woman. He didn't exactly want a confrontation at the moment, but he knew with his position in the student government he couldn't be rude. Not that he tended to be rude... He drew in a breath as he came upon her, taking in her scent a moment and the details of her face. She smelled fresh and not of sea air, letting him know she was new there. Not to mention he was good with faces and had never seen her before. She was rather good looking so he assumed he would have remembered if he had seen around. "Yes that's mine. Thank you for catching it, though I'm sorry you had to catch it with your face." He gave her a pleasant look, though the formality in his tone wasn't nearly cheery enough to be considered out going. He was merely glad she wasn't harmed or angry over the paper hitting her and that she was a new face. He took note of the freshman package in her hand hands and gave a small practiced smile. "New, I see. Welcome to the university. I hope you are finding everything alright" He said, since it was priority for the university that anyone involved in the student council would have to aid freshmen this year. They didn't want them getting lost or running around like startled mice after all. ~~~ Jaeger had gotten up early for a morning run, mostly since he preferred to be up before the sun was up anyways. He was used to hard work where he was from since the foster home he stayed in was a farm owned by a hunter and his future mentor. The man was strict and made sure the children worked their asses off for everything they had which was only food, clothes, and a bed. He wasn't bitter about it. Instead he was proud that he survived the most basic of training. He was always proud of his upbringing. Especially when it came to the Hunters. He was devout to them, completely involved and found no alternative for his life. Without them, he would have been a washed out kid in the system, probably on drugs and in poverty like his childhood friends. Well, that was a whole other story entirely...When he got up to his dorm room, mopping the sweat off of him with his now off shirt, he saw movement in the dark room and flipped on the light. There he found his roomate and a girl sprawled out in his bed. No less one that looked definitely underaged. "Uh. Sup?" He said, looking from the girl to the new guy there with a bit of hesitance since he was unsure what this was about. He grabbed his clothes from his bed since he intended to shower before they had to go to this stupid meeting for the new students. ~~~ Stella wandered up the stairs of her dorm rooms, her eyes down cast as girls giggled and milled about her. She hugged her bag closer to her when they got too close, which gained her a few looks from girls that were weirded out by the way she ghosted by. Stella had learned quickly that it was easier to be quiet in these situations. It left less to worry about and less for her to have to lose. She finally found her room number and forced the door open with some effort. Seems the damn dorms were old. Hell she could smell the old oak doors aging from where she stood and there was dust galore here. The sounds of speech and moving noises bombarded her ears, to the point she had to pop in her ear phones to drown it out. She hated her super bat like hearing. It made things very hard to focus and function when you had everyone's breaths or small squeaks of floor boards sound like they were amplified by megaphones. She hummed along to one song that popped up in her playlist as she slowly started to unpack. She didn't have a roomate yet, or at least the girl wasn't here from what she could tell. She wanted to meet this girl, to perhaps set some ground rules ahead of time....but perhaps that was mean. God she was bad at this special thing...She went to work unloading her art supplies in the corner where her desk was, simultaneously pulling out a poster or two to hang while she waited. She wanted to at least make this strange place feel like home...

Liza smiled as the boy took the paper from her. The smile turned into a giggle before she bit her lip, silencing herself. The boy was even cuter up close but she didn't really feel she would have time to try and experiment with boys so she simply shrugged her shoulders. "Well I couldn't just let a poor defenseless piece of paper fly away into the world." She spoke in a joking manner, though she inwardly cringed knowing that it probably was a lot more awkward sounding then it had been in her mind. She blamed her lack of socializing as a child for her poor people skills. She wrinkled her nose thought and smiled again as he easily pointed out that she was new. Liza was could tell he was being polite, his smile not overly friendly. She got the impression that he was being careful with his interaction, but she could just be reading to much into this boy. She tended to do that having people watched quite often when she was younger. "Thank you!" Liza said sincerely to his welcome and she raised her welcome packet in one hand. "I think I'm doing alright. I've never been anywhere like this before though so I'm sure it's only a matter of time before I get lost." She chuckled at the end and then a look of realization came across her features and she quickly pocketed her phone. Liza reached out her hand in a motion to have the boy shake hers. "The name's Liza. It's nice to meet you." She gave a formal greeting, figuring it was a better first impression--maybe. ~~~ Nilo's night was spent reviewing power point presentations and outlines that he found on a laptop which had already been set up for him in his small room. He had been given a room in one of the less used buildings. There were a few other professors living there but he was on the top floor, far from anyone else, thankfully. He didn't go to sleep until early morning and he woke not long after. The sun was barely starting its journey into the sky as he stepped out into the quiet campus. He needed to keep in shape if he was to be stationed here for a period of time, as much as it irked him that he was having to be here at all. The situation itself was enough to infuriate him, not that one could tell on his rather stoic features currently. His run through the campus was unimpeded and he even found his was off campus and around town where he through in some other exercises outside of running. The sun was out and early rising students had begun to mill about by the time he returned to campus. His shirt was soaked with sweat as he entered his little room. After his shower, he found the cafeteria and stacked his plate high with food. He sat at a table in the corner, his back to a wall and pale green eyes on the few people about him. His hair was still damp, just starting to curl about his face. It was still early but he was sure he would be able to observe some students and begin his investigation into the various wolf packs that were rumored to be about this small college town.

He had just silenced his phone's alarm to get up and get ready for a run- since they trained them to run in the mornings- however he wasn't an early early person- maybe only one early was good. He hadn't really noticed the door open much less the shirtless guy- probably his room mate looking at him and his sister a bit confused. He was already squinting because of the light being on but he got over it and sat up, a yawn on his lips as he tried to stifle it. He jerked his thumb towards his sprawled out sister and shook his head. "Its my sister- we got in too late to find her room." He mumbled to the new comer. he felt it wasn't the best impressions but honestly he didn't care at the moment. He was tired and wanted to roll back over but knew they needed to get up and he wanted to go for a jog after this meeting, then perhaps report in where he was supposed to after his sister got settled in her own room. Sia had been oddly attached to him since they spoke last in the car and hew ans't too sure it was a good thing. She needed to understand he was a hunter and if she toed the line like a good girl then he wouldn't have to take her down, but he could already tell she was trouble.

Luke's brow quirked at her awkward little joke about the paper, though a smile did pull at his lips. He wasn't laughing at her exactly, more along with her since he could feel the slight change in her scent to something a bit more sweaty, hear the rocketing of her pulse. She was nervous. That confused him. Her posture didn't give nervousness away. Instead she faced him head on and seemed to be looking at him with intent. Her eyes were focused, almost like she was analyzing him. Was she judging him? That made him curious, or at least enough so to not let the conversation be and walk away. He was genuinely glad to hear she was finding things alright, since being lost on campus your first day sucked. It took him a while to figure things out, since so many new sights, noises and smells clouded this place like a thick fog. He was used to it now, but it still always got a bit iffy on orientation days. When she seems to realize something, his interest was caught in at least finding out this girl's name. Liza. He would have to remember that one. He switched the papers to one hand, taking her offered hand with his, shaking it as was custom here. It was simple and to the point before he pulled away with a smile. "I'm Luke." He said as part of the exchange before nodding some to himself. "And yes, campus is big. But if you are ever lost, just ask someone and they'll help. We treat campus here like its a home away from home." He said, though he was sure that meant something very different for her than it did for him. This was his family's safe haven, a chance to rebuild, regroup and survive. It was perfectly quiet and rural enough to escape attention no matter what form they were in. It would never be the home they left, but it was as close as they would get. A chime sounded from a clock tower nearby and he gave a small sigh. He hated the clock. It sounded like a dog whistle to him. "And that's the last call bell for the orientation. I have to go help set up the Main Hall for the incoming student meeting." He said before taking a step back from her to show that he was leaving. "Thanks again for saving my speech. I'm sure the orientation committee will be in your debt, Liza." He gave her a bow of his head before he exited, knowing he was running late and Belle was going to chew him out for not being there to help her set things up. The last step of orientation was a mandatory meeting that night for the new students to ask questions and get the main information. Then it was followed by a party hosted by the student council, not mandatory but people tended to go to it. It was a chance to socialize and meet new people and usually Kass found away to get free booze into the late night portion. Luke scolded him often enough, but with Kass it was always in one ear and out the other. ~~~ Jaeger looked at the girl in the bed when told that it was the guy's sister. Honestly she looked too young to be a college girl, but hey, he had heard of family living services before. The university had a system to allow students in special circumstances to have their kids or siblings on campus. It had to be a very special circumstance, but some people managed it. What was this guy's reason? He wouldn't ask of course, but he was curious by nature..."Alright. Well we have that orientation thing tonight. Hopefully you can find it then." He said, since he didn't exactly think it was wise to have a young girl hanging around male dorms. He didn't trust half these idiots to clean, let alone keep their hands off a girl that could be mistaken for a college student. He shifted a bit, realizing he hadn't said a word of introduction. "I'm Jaeger by the way." He said before going to the door to go to the communal bathroom to shower off.

Liza smile increased in size at Luke's introduction. She was pleased with his handshake as well. Her father always told her you can tell what kind of person someone was with how they shook your hand. If it was firm they had some form of confidence or a thought of power. If they were loose or limp, then they were 'the flaky scum of the earth'. At least that was what her father would say. The chime of a bell reverberated across the campus and Liza looked over her shoulder towards the clock tower, a curious little expression splayed on her features. She was fascinated that they actually had it chime and made a mental note to check it out at some point. She was already starting to understand why her sister had found this place so interesting. Luke said his goodbyes at this point, the bell seeming to jar him into motion. Liza guessed he must have a need to be somewhere and then he dropped the bit about the orientation committee and her cheeks flushed lightly, if only for the reason that she had met someone who must have been popular…At least she guessed that because wouldn't only popular people be apart of such a committee? In her naïve mind that was what she believed. "No problem. Bye, Luke." She replied, waving and testing out her name on her lips. She watched him walk away for only a moment before continuing on her little adventure. She just needed to find her dorm room. It didn't take too long for her to navigate the campus to her dorm. The building was old on the inside. She could hear the creaking and groaning of doors as they opened and closed, voices of eager freshmen like herself echoing down halls and stairways. She felt the excitement bubbling up inside of her once again. It was her first time away from home without her parents or her sister by her side. Sure there was a little bit of fear inside of her but mostly, she was full of the unexplored possibility of what she could achieve on her own. She found her dorm room and knocked before entering. She found a girl who was unpacking. She noticed ear buds coming from the girl's ears and didn't say anything at first, walking over to the bed that was left and shrugging her backpack off where its heaviness made the old mattress groan some. Liza smiled at the girl and waved to get her attention though, her hair was a little frizzy and her eyes bright with excitement. She noticed the girl had unpacked some art supplies and the posters that were already on the wall intrigued her. She was excited to meet this new girl. She wondered if they would become best friends like what everyone said happened. Or they would end up hating each other. That was always a possibility. Liza ignored the negative side of her mind and held out her hand for the second time that day, hoping the girl would take it. "Hi! My name is Liza. It looks like we're going to be stuck together for a while." She said, her tone chipper but not overtly loud. She really was eager to make a friend.

At the news that they had an orientation tonight he frowned, he hated those. Every new place he went there wanted him to do a meet and greet- not one of his favorite things. He nodded when he suggested perhaps finding her room when they left for the meeting. He aimed on it since he wasn't one to honestly share his bed often. He sat up and stretched a bit stiffly and stood giving the guy a nod at his introduction. "Brendon, nice to meet you." He said as he let him head out before he closed the door and changed into work out clothes, however when he was shoving things back in his suit case, Sia sat up and waked her head on the upper bunk over him- the more storage area honestly. She gave a few grumbles that were too muffled to be understood really before she moved her feet off the bed and stood up stretching. With a yawn that was lazy she looked at him,"Whats up?" She asked as thought he were going to being her to food. "Going for a run, get ready." He said to her which made her balk a bit however she did as she was told and changed into something a bit more breathable, though she did make him turn around to not watch her change, which he found ridiculous. Heading for a run around the campus was eventful as there were some people milling about and such, however he stirred away from them. Sia could keep up surprisingly but on the other hand, she was a werewolf it wasn't surprising all that much. He just knew he had to keep an eye on her carefully here. He still had to get in contact with a group perhaps to pawn her off on maybe, so he could get his degree to further himself in the ranks of hunters and get out of there. Maybe it was a bad thought to leave his last standing fmaily there but they weren't really that much alike.

Luke headed to the building that was specified, finding it was crowded with people milling about to set things up. The area was a large auditorium usually used for band performances or theater or big announcements like this. Luke hated this stuffy place, mostly because the stage was so limiting. He felt like a bug under a magnifying glass up there, a feeling no one wanted when they had to make a speech. "That goes under the banister! Kass didn't I tell you no orange! Damn it people am I running a zoo?!" The angry rant came from somewhere near the front and he knew by the high pitch of the voice that it was Belle. Belle always had this issue that her voice got high when she was frustrated. It was annoying, but Kass usually was there to calm her down as her brother. They were twins, believe it or not, but not in the sense of being actually identical. They were similar in tastes, but almost polar opposite in tolerability. At least Kass hid his temper well...When Luke walked up to the pretty blonde shrieking at everyone, he got the full fury of a glare from her that was almost scolding. "Luke you were supposed to be here 30 minutes ago! Now everything is disorganized and I am not having this be a laughing stock." She snipped, drawing a look of calm superiority from Luke. Belle instantly balked, her glare dropping for something more civil as the silence went on. She knew fully well that yelling at the Alpha wasn't a good idea, but when she was amped up she got a little carried away at times. "Lu-Lu! You are finally here. Look I found this awesome orange streamer stuff!" Kass bounded down the stairs, nearly tripping over the heaps of streamer he was trying to present to them. Belle knew her brother was getting between them to defuse the situation and silently she thanked him for it. Luke wasn't a pretty picture when he was mad... Luke blinked at all the streamer and the fact that Kass just called him..."Lu-Lu?" He asked with an almost annoyed look that made Kass grin impishly. "Like it. It's not like we can run around calling you Boss, Chief, Alpha, Prez--OH maybe König!" Luke's eye twitched at Kass's bubbly joke, making him take a step back and give him a shake of his head. "Luke is fine...Anyways, Belle what did you need me for exactly?" He asked, but his question was overshadowed by Belle and Kass getting into an argument on the orange streamers. He sighed and went to find Karin, knowing she would be the voice of reason in all this and would at least distract him from the pair of bickering puppies. ~~~ (Your chara is meeting with the dude right Vamp?) ~~~ Stella smelled the girl before she heard her, but she didn't turn to look at her. That would be weird right? Instead Stella soaked in the scent, her mind working a mile a minute to process it. Daisies, the girl smelled like flowers and fresh air. And...there was a slight musk to her scent that was so faint it almost was untraceable. But Stella could smell it on her. The smell bothered her, since that smell wasn't coming from the girl, but something she came in contact with. The scent sparked a part of her that she definitely didn't want showing itself here...it made her uneasy. She tensed a bit, calming herself down by holding her breath and counting to ten. She had to ignore it...that was just her mind messing with her... She finally released the breath when the girl was suddenly in her peripheral view as a movement to be noticed. She took out her headphones to be polite, but it was obvious Stella wasn't a warm greeter like this girl. Instead there was an obvious awkwardness to her, enough so that she fidgeted with her sleeve as the girl spoke, this Liza...Right she would be sharing a room with someone. That meant she would have to be friendly right? How to be friendly...? Well for starters she would have to take her hand..."H-Hey I'm Stella." She took the girl's hand though the contact was quick and slight. She didn't like contact, since that made scents stick with her and she could feel people's pulses...It was freaky. "Yeah...uh looks like we'll be together a while. I-I hope you don't mind that I put up a picture or two. I'm just trying to make this place not seem so odd." She said, being honest with Liza since she seemed nice enough, though Stella had no intention of getting close. Nice people got hurt when they got close to her...

Liza noticed instantly that her new roommate was the shy type. She had been hoping for someone out going that would go and explore this campus with her but Liza was not one to be deterred. Her smile was ecstatic as the girl introduced herself. Her name reminded Liza of the night sky and it seemed to suit the fidgety thing. Her hand shake left much to be desired but Liza was sure she had quite the personality bubbling under the surface. Instantly, it became a goal to bring this girl out of her shell. It could be fun. What's the worst that could happen? At the mention of the pictures being up on the wall, Liza glanced their way and shook her head with a smile. "It's no problem at all. I think it's important be comfortable." Liza shrugged before picking up her luggage and hoisting it on top of her bed with a slight grunt. "In fact, I'll probably put some stuff up on my side as well." She flashed another grin, her friendly air staying put. Her posture had been wide open during their short conversation, showing that she was honestly being friendly. Liza unzipped her suitcase and the first thing she pulled out was a picture frame her father had given her before she had left. It contained a photo of their family from before it had been changed after her sister's death. Liza obviously looked a little younger but she still proudly placed it on her desk, facing her bed. She would use her sister's smile as motivation. She went about unpacking more things, her clothes going into the dresser and closet provided. She had a few knickknacks on her desk along with a laptop and a fraying notebook that she had been using to write theories in. She really hadn't paid much mind to anything else as she did all of this, the time flying by. It wasn't until the clock tower chimed out again that she realized it had been a bit of time. In fact, she felt a bit bad, as though she had been ignoring Stella. She honestly figured the girl would rather be left a lone for now. Sure, Liza wanted to make friends but she didn't want to push herself on anyone. It was then that she remembered that they had the student orientation that evening, followed by the party. "Oh, Stella? Do you think we should get ready for orientation?" She questioned her new room mate, her friendly demeanor still present but excitement at seeing more of the freshman student body pressing forth.

Brenden looked like he had a good run while Sia looked bored with the pace he had. He looked a little more sweaty to be sire but he had gotten a message from the academy about meeting with the Dean on behalf of the hunters. He went there, making Sia come along though she was going to sit outside while he spoke since it was none of her business, though he didn't want her wandering about either. When the women behind the desk said he could enter the room, he did, telling Sia to sit there until he came back, getting a bored look from her. Shaking his head he went in the door and gave the dean a nod in greetings. He wasn't too sure what this man knew but he had a feeling this was going to be interesting. Sia watched him leave before getting up and heading out of the office, she didn't care to be bossed around and she wasn't going to take that from him. She had been home schooled and she knew she could be there, not to mention she could do that, heading into the admissions office she found that her application had indeed went though originally, thankfully as planned however. She got her orientation packet and was all smiled as she was instructed to go to the opening ceremony, she figured Brenden would catch up- if he wasn't tired form all the running- however after this little meeting- she was going to find food- she was starving.

Stella looked up from her bags that she had been digging through to get to her things to put around the room. She noticed that Liza had a picture of her family and personal things to put up, while Stella's were very much just things she found interesting. No photos of family or friends, just art and different thing she had collected over the years. The only really personal item she placed out on the bed was her sketch book, one that looked brimmed full of papers shoved in-between pages and like the poor thing was falling apart. She couldn't part with the old thing. Not since it had one of the only pictures of Noah left in it...She swallowed hard, ignoring the book in favor of the interesting yet loud noise of the clock tower. Why they chose to use something so loud was beyond her, but she assumed it got their message across clearly. Be there, there is no excuse that you didn't hear the bell. When Liza spoke again, this time about the orientation, Stella gave her a half smile and a nod. "Yeah, we should probably make an effort to be on time. I heard its like a super important tradition around here. The professors take it seriously at least." She said as she began throwing on a bit of make up to at least make herself presentable to the public. She was still a girl underneath her shell, that liked looking pretty and conceding herself with things like her appearance. Stella could soon hear people moving in the halls down to the courtyard and towards the auditorium. She didn't need her enhanced hearing to know that they were going to be late if they didn't catch up to the crowd. She grabbed her phone and slapped the name tag on her chest that had come in her orientation packet. Seems they wanted to tag you before you left to join the masses. When they finally did get out and made it ~~~ Luke lined up with the others in the student council as the freshmen filed into the building, he and Kass offering smiles and welcomes to those that passed while also simultaneously keeping an eye out for anyone suspicious. Part of this orientation acted as a good way to sniff out potential mutts or packs that would be moving to the area. They found none so far, something that both relieved Luke and concerned him. That lack of wolves didn’t mean there was a lack of hunters after all…When people started to take their seats awkwardly, some talking with ready made friends or searching the room for familiar faces, Luke offered Kass and Belle a small gesture to show that they would be seated near the podium, especially when the dean began speaking about what an honor it was to meet all of them and to see so many bright young faces. He talked of the faculty and the prestigious honors each and every one of them had in research and studies. It was just more talk of selling the university to the new and hopefuls that hopefully would be able to hang in and not drop out. He could see Kass from the corner of his eyes looking like he was falling asleep half through, making Luke tap Bell's arm discretely. She stretched, smacking the back of Kass's head not so subtly and causing him to wake in a startled state. Luke gave her a scolding look, before his eyes went back to the room that was a bit hard to see under the bright lights. He was looking for Karin among the faces, since she was surprisingly late. It made him a bit annoyed with her, figuring she of all people should be on time since she was vice president and his second. She was a bit of a free-spirit and could get distracted at times. Perhaps she was caught up with one of the faculty or had slept in. Either way, he could carry on without her well enough though later he would be calling her to find out where she got off to. When the dean opened the floor up to the student union after yet another riveting talk about perseverance, Luke got to his feet and gave the older man a smile and a shake of the hand. Kiss and Belle rose as well following suit behind Luke with more grace than they usually showed since they had an audience. Luke went to the podium, his smile professional and inviting though on the inside he felt a pressure building in him. He hated being stuck in that massive closed off room. The smells and sounds were almost overwhelming, to the point it was like a tsunami bashing against his senses to the point it normally would have been hard to focus. However, practice made perfect, and he was a bit too OCD to ever enter a situation like this unprepared. "Good evening new students, I am Luke Forstner, President of your Student Union. Our organization is in charge of everything from organizing and aiding in orientation to college wide events for your enjoyment. We are here for you in this time of change and want to make your years here as purposeful and fun as we can. That being said we are always looking for volunteers, which you can approach our representatives Belle and Kass with any questions." He said, motioning back to the pair there who gave their own rounds of smiles and waves. He cleared his throat before continuing. "Every year we like to offer a small over view of the school expectations and rules that you can find in your handbooks. This is just a precaution since our Dean is serious when he states that we have a zero tolerance policy. You are going to be the faces of this college, each of you with more potential and resources at your fingertips to do great things here in whatever your passions are. Now, rule number one has to be the curfew. First year students are not allowed off campus property beyond midnight, that means you must be in your dorms for check in before 11:30. This will be enforced by your RAs. Rule two, no alcohol on campus or any illegal substances. State and federal funding rules. Third, any reports of violence or harassment against students will be handled immediately. See something, report it. Lastly, please follow local guidelines and laws when you travel off campus. This is a quiet town that has been good to our college. Angering locals is not something anyone wants. All of that sound fair?" He heard a few confirmation noises, though most seemed to think him a buzz kill. He rather didn't care if they did, those were the rules and expulsion was a very real threat here since they didn't have room for games. Besides, for things to run smoothly for everyone, including his pack. He looked around at the young faces before he offered a bit of a carefree shrug. Time to let them off the hook from the serious talk since he was sure they got the point. If they didn't, they would be dealt with. "Now that that is done, I want to say simply that these will be some of the best and most formative years of your life. Remember to make memories, friends, and connections--" He was cut off by another smaller frame brushing past him, moving him gently so that she could reach the podium. It was Karin, he could tell distinctly by her scent and her bubbly voice that echoed over the room. "To help you out a little on your first night, there will be a party for you all and other students of the college after this orientation meeting to get you all better acquainted. It will be held at the Student Union building on north campus till curfew. Please feel free to join us! There's free food and hey, you just might have a good time." She stepped down giving Luke a look that told him he was getting long winded, which he took the hint with a slow blink. He got back up to the mic, deciding to wrap things up since he could see people were getting restless. "Welcome to all of all of you. Blaelock is lucky to have you." He stepped down, allowing one of the appointed professors to step up and begin giving instructions to the students of what their first day would look like tomorrow. Classes were mandatory attendance and that their schedules were already posted on their doors. Luke took that opportunity to address Karin off to the side as they traveled from the stage to get back to the student union building. "Why were you late?" He asked her, catching her hand as she tried to bypass him to go and catch up with Belle and Kass. She looked to him with a softer smile, giving his cheek a pat as if he were a child. "I got tied up in something. Don't worry, Luke." She said quietly, as if she didn't want Belle and Kass to hear, before she went to catch up with them. Luke was unsure if he liked that answer, but could do little about it since he hardly liked to argue with Karin.

Liza nodded her head when Stella agreed with her. She had heard from her sister that the orientation was a pretty big deal but she had never really gone into detail. The pale haired girl finished folding the last of her clothes before throwing her hair up into a messy bun. She was already wearing a bit of make up from earlier, not caring that a bit of the eyeliner was smudged under her eyes. In fact, it just made her eyes pop even more. Excitement was brewing in Liza quite clearly as she nearly skipped to her little desk where she pocketed her phone after having let it charge. As Stella grabbed her own phone, Liza put on her name badge, having to try twice because it fell off after only a moment the first time. She could hear people moving about outside of their dorm room and when she peaked outside, she could see a small crowd making their way towards the auditorium. Liza followed Stella out of the room, shutting the door behind them. She stuck close to her room mate, making sure that they stayed together but not quite invading her personal space. Liza enjoyed meeting new people but she thought it would be best to stick with someone whose name she already knew. Just in case. They, of course, made it on time to the auditorium. Liza saw her new acquaintance from earlier, the boy who had lost his speech, as they entered the building. She gave him a warm smile and a familiar but equally dorky wave. She wasn't sure if he saw her or not but she moved on, trying to keep up with her roommate. She did sit next to Stella, her eyes constantly moving and taking in her surroundings. She was ecstatic to be involved in a place like this where there were so many people but she was also nervous. She had only even been a part of a large group, if one could call this gathering large, once before. There were so many things to observe and the sound of different voices was fascinating. Her attentions, however, were drawn forth the the stage when the orientation began with the Dean making an opening speech. Liza was enraptured with his words, wanting to take everything in. Every word kept her hooked, although no one could say that the dean's speech was any mighty feat of verbal literature. When Luke took to the podium, Liza's smile broadened. It seemed that she was going to finally hear what she had been a part of saving, not that she had any real credit but it made her feel warm and fuzzy inside as though she felt special for knowing someone “important” on campus. He was interrupted by a female and Liza's eyebrows rose when she mentioned a party. If possible, her smile broadened and she looked to Stella. “A party! That sounds exciting. I think it would be fun to go. What about you?” She questioned the new girl, her voice low so as to not be over heard. There was still someone speaking up on the podium but she was only half paying attention at this point in time, her excitement at attending a party, a real party, for almost the first time ever was overriding her desire to be a good student and stay under the radar.
Nilo was peeved. It turns out that his lovely ex-mentor had exaggerated the truth when he spoke about having a class first thing in the morning. It was a class that Nilo was to head but rather an orientation, so to speak, for new teachers. It was his luck that he had to spend several hours on a tour of the campus, lunch with the dean, and a meet and greet with other staff in his department. His aloof nature didn't gather him many friends during the hours of the day that he felt were a waste and he had to remember to thank Alwardt later—with a nice hard bite to the jugular. The morning turned to the afternoon where he was finally free to do what he wanted. He walked around the campus, looking for signs of pack activity and observing all of the incoming freshmen along with the rest of the student body he happened to walk past. He used his heightened senses to his advantage. He listened to conversations and tracked scents that he found less than human. He could definitely detect the scent of wolf but there was such an overwhelming amount of sights and smells that he honestly had a hard time tracking it. He supposed it would have to wait until he could be at a closer proximity to the students. Much to his dismay, Nilo found out that he had to attend this student orientation for the freshmen. He begrudgingly took an aisle seat in the teacher section and only half paid attention during the dean's opening remarks. However, when the student body president took to the stage along with some of the others belonging to the student council, his attention focused. The auditorium was loud and uncomfortable and the scents and sounds too disjointed to really allow him the proper use of his ears and nose but the way the boy moved and the others around him...His gut was telling him to look into these kids more.

Sia sat there and listened to all the words these people talked. Rules and regulations- aka restrictions on her and what she wanted to do. She wasn't happy about that but knew she would have to deal with it or simply not get caught. The idea for a party however made her raise a brow- that sounded like a good time. Now would her brother go? She doubted it since he was a loner in most cases. After a moment however she thought about how he was waiting at the Dean's office for him to finish his pretty speech before returning to find her annoyingly stiff brother- poor guy. He seemed alright so far- so did this Luke...
((Sorry lol))
