Alysia peered shyly up at Destirel then quickly nodded her head. " I know." She admitted. " I'm just not as confident as you." Giving him a tiny shy smile she looked around the resteruant her stomach craving food.
Placing her order she crossed her legs her hands reaching up to take her amulet. " Hey Destirel can I ask you something. " Unclasping the amulet she held it lightly in her hand quietly for a moment before placing it on the table infront of him. " Could you help me find out what it does. I think there's more to it just being...pretty." With a sigh she looked down at the amulet. Her father had given it to her. Maybe it was just..something pretty.

It was blatantly obvious to Destirel that Alysia wasn't nearly as confident as him but he didn't say that, instead he just gave her a small smirk in response to her small smile. To be honest, although Destirel was a very confident person, he had his moments and though he almost always seemed to be optimistic and happy on the outside...He really was quite lonely on the inside. You could see it sometimes in his eyes or when he responds to certain comments or questions. He had let a notion of his inner loneliness slip to Eris though he wasn't sure if she had picked up on it or not at the time. He had grown up mostly by himself though he had the nymphs and Cerberus at all times. Hecate he saw almost always once a week but sometimes she was gone for long periods of time and his father well...He was usually busy 'advising' Zeus and ruling over his domain.
"Of course. Anything." Destirel responded when Alysia said that she had a question for him. And then she did something he hadn't expected her to do. As she unclasped her amulet, his eyebrows rose in questioned. Looking down at is, he listened to her question and contemplated it seriously although he had thought that Alysia would have known what it did though maybe not... The more he thought about it the more it made sense that she wouldn't know. Especially since she had been hidden from most of what she was. He reached out to pick it up but then stopped hesitating as he looked up in question, his eyes asking for permission to pick it up. She may have slid it across the table but he wanted to still make sure that it was alright for him to pick it up.
Destirel thought that he could feel a slight aura of enchantment coming off of it though that most likely was his imagination. It had to do something didn't it? He didn't think that her father would give her something that didn't have any meaning other than it was something HE himself had given to her. Then again he also wouldn't be surprised if Apollo hadn't bothered with giving her anything special...his only thought was that why give her anything unless it had some sort of important use? Maybe it held a message? A hidden power? There were endless possibilities and it could be none of them. Destirel was quite interested in finding out though now that she had brought it up.

That smirk he wore always made her feel self conscious. It was easy to be envious of Destirel he had everything she lacked; confidence and power. Twisting the ends of her hair she regarded Destirel with a careful gaze as he reached for the amulet. About to snatch it away she faltered stopping short as she gazed down at it intently contemplating her decision. Should she allow him to touch the amulet. Would it really hurt. Eyebrows knitted together she pulled her hand away from her hair clasping her palms together before finally resting them in her lap. " You can hold it." She spoke granting him permission.
It wasn't that she didn't have her own theories on what the amulet could possibly be. It was, in her opinion far from a pretty object but what did it do. Surely Apollo had given it to her for a reason? Perhaps not. "I thought maybe it was his." With a slightly embarrassed expression she looked away not so comfortable discussing her father. " Like how he gave me the violin.... it was his." Well at least that's what Eris said her mother just ignored the instruments existence. " Eris would've just said so however the muse always dodged the questions about the amulet. With a sigh she twirled the straw to her drink around the cup absent minded. It was infuriating to be kept out of the dark about her own heritage. So many secrets threatened to do her head in.
" Maybe it is nothing." She reasoned. " I could be making a big deal out of nothing." She thought out loud. Who was she trying to convince Destirel or herself. The think reeked with a magic aura yet she was to unskilled to understand much of anything to do with it. The reality was though, Apollo cared not for his children. If any he credited to or even admitted to as his had always been his sons. Perhaps she merely wanted the amulet to do something. It was nice and easy that her father had claimed her as his but with no one else to know about her existence maybe she was giving Apollo more credit then he deserved. He cared not for daughters, much less his sons she wouldn't be an exception to that at all. He merely loved women and his music nothing else mattered.
So what was the deal with the darn amulet. Why was everything secretive. Crossing her legs she took a sip from her drink. " I guess it doesn't matter."

At first it seemed like Alysia was very unhappy with him trying to touch the amulet. But to his surprise, she allowed him to do so. Reaching out, he grasped the thing lightly and brought it closer to himself. He had been right about the aura. It was quite strong and Destirel could feel it pulsing through him just by holding it. He listened to Alysia's words though, while looking it over. His expression almost seem detached but he responded appropriately with a 'yea' or 'mhm'. It did however seem like he wasn't listening at all but he was. Destirel had learned to do work and listen at the same time quite well.
When she was finished speaking, he looked up at her, a thoughtful expression on his face. "So your father gave you a violin too?" He questioned, though it was mostly for himself. He paused for a moment longer before leaning forward some. "I doubt it does nothing. There is just no way something with this strong of a magical aura is only supposed to be a piece of decoration." He held the amulet out for Alysia if she wished to take it back and continued. "I have two questions for you...wait make that three. Do you know how to match up your own magics frequency with another?" Destirel questioned as he decided to only ask one at a time. He would be surprised if she knew but it would be useful--well maybe. He had an idea that if she channeled some of her own magic into the amulet at the frequency it was already at that it might do something. He also wondered that since Apollo had given Alysia a violin, maybe the key to the amulet was through it. There were just so many possibilities that it almost made Destirel's head hurt.

Alysia blinked in suprised some what taken a back by his words. " You mean you've got a vilon also?" Suprise written across her face she leant forward. " I thought so but..Apollo doesn't care for his children does he. " She countered. It was all very confusing. Taking the amulet carefully from Destirel she quickly clasped it back around her neck. " What do you mean?" She needn't bother hiding the fact she had no idea what he was talking about. Most likely she'd have no answer to any of his questions. " What is it?"
{Short sorry}

Destirely smiled some at his bad choice of words. "No, I was thinking out loud putting pieces together. He gave you a violin and an amulet. Sorry about that." He apologized for his mistake in wording. Letting the amulet go back into Alysia's possession, Destirel thought about her words. "He may not have cared for his children, but that doesn't mean he never did anything for them." He responded, his voice serious as he leaned back.
With her next question, the food came. He didn't answer her as the server laid down their food and drink choice. Picking up a fry, he took a bit of it, gauging its heat. Then he decided that he could tell Alysia what he meant by his question earlier. "Everyone has their own frequency or aura as you might call it. It is possible to match up your own aura with another persons or even an item that has magic of its own. It takes a lot of concentration so people don't do it very often but it is used a lot in healing magics, though usually it is only used for big jobs." Taking a breath, he finished the fry that was in his hand and then continued. "I am sure you can feel the magical aura coming off of that amulet. If you concentrate on it I am sure you will be able to feel a distinctive umm say vibration coming from it. Everyone has one. It is like a fingerprint. If you match that vibration you should be able pour some of your own magical energy into it. Some people like to do it as a kind of lock and key since not many people have mastered the technique." Destirel closed his mouth quickly as he had let slip that it wasn't a very easy technique though with her gifts he figured that it would be no problem. Also if that didn't work. There was also his other idea. ((Its okay. I just hope that this is alright for you. )

Alysia felt calm once more with the familiar weight of the amulet around her neck. She wouldn't dispute Destirel's words, she couldn't dispute his words. It was simply a matter of not knowing the answer. As far as she herself knew Apollo had never done anything for her however how did she know he hadn't done something for his other children.
As the food arrived she stopped her questions long enough for the waiter to disappear from view. " So..I might be able to do that because I can heal?" Doubtful of her abilities she frowned some what. Why did he have so much faith in her. Feeling uneasy she began to nibble at her food trying to dull her senses. " The aura of the amulet is different...when I look at it all I can feel is the heat of the sun. You say it's magical.. I guess it must be."
Thinking his words over quietly in her head only caused grief and further confusion. " I'll try it." Maybe it will work. She needed a frequency to match with right. Well..the amulet would be similar to her aura wouldn't it. Lifting her gaze she looked into Destirel's eyes timidly. "What if I can't?"

"Well, it is more likely that you will be able to do it since you possess healing magic." He responded and munched on some more of his fries while she spoke. The heat of the sun eh? Destirel knew that it made sense and now that he thought about it, that would be similar to what he had felt though Alysia was better with auras then himself, that much was obvious.
Taking a drink before saying anything, Destirel thought about what he should say to her. He did believe in her. She was the daughter of a god. She held power inside of her, there was no one with the blood of a good running through their veins that was not powerful in one way or another. It just was different for each one and when it came out...well that just depended on the individual.
"If you can't do it then we try something else." Destirel began, his voice soft but then he looked up at her with his pale green eyes. He sounded quite confident in her when he spoke next. "But I believe in you. I think you can do it." He gave her a smile and the began eating some more, his hunger over ruling his politeness. He did think that she could do it though maybe she couldn't. He didn't know but Destirel had found out that the more you believe in a person the more they tend to believe in themselves.

It couldn't hurt to try could it? Destirel seemed so certian she could do such a thing. Blushing at his words she ducked her head staring at her food. He believed in her. " I guess I just give it a shot ..right." Lapsing into silence she began to eat her food.
Brushing her fingers across her amulet she gazed down at it with curious wonder. So many things were running through her head as of now. As her thoughts drifted back to Eris a small unpleasant look crossed her face only to be replaced with a guilty expression seconds later. She didn't get angry nor cross. She'd just have to make do with what she knew. Perhaps there was a way to find out more. Finished with her burger she ignored the fries as she took a small sip from her drink. " We should find somewhere away from all the humans. " She wasn't comfortable using any of her powers around humans it was bad enough she could read their auras.

After finishing his fries, Destirel devoured his burger. His manners were quite normal but he ate his food rather quickly. He downed some of his drink afterwords to clear his throat from eating so quickly. Sure it might have been somewhat unhealthy but he had been hungry. No harm done right? Wiping his mouth off with a napkin, he smiled contentedly. He was full now and his stomach wasn't angry at him any longer.
He watched as Alysia finished her burger but left her fries. She mentioned something about leaving to someplace more secluded and Destirel just shrugged his shoulders. That would make sense, it was best to use your magic away from prying eyes, especially when you didn't know what could come of it.
Destirel had noticed the unpleasant and then guilty look that Alysia had work on her face though he didn't ask why, feeling that if she didn't mention it then he probably shouldn't bother asking. "I think that, that is a great idea." He replied in a matter of fact tone. Pulling out a wallet, he plucked a nice sum of money and laid it on the table. Pulling aside the server, he got a box for Alysia's fries and a shake to go. It was ever so nice when they actually got things done fast. Then again if you were waving around a ten dollar tip, they would stand on their hands and dance on the table if you asked. They probably wouldn't do that but their server looked ever so pleased as he handed over the money.

Alysia watched Destirel place the money onto the table paying for the food and getting a box for her fries. He'd just paid for her meal when she'd been the one to ask him to lunch. Shyly she took the box of fries standing up from the table. Out of the corner of her eye she watched two girls eyeing up Destirel. Flushing with embarrassment she gazed anywhere but at the girls as she took a step away from the table. It wasn't the first time someones aura had displayed something she didn't exactly want to know but it didn't stop her feeling embarrassed. " Those girls there think your cute. " There was more to it but she didn't feel like mentioning what else she'd picked up on.
With a shake of her head she continued walking out of the burger joint. Now where would she go. Was there a place where she couldn't be seen using her powers infront of humans.

After getting his shake and the box for the fries, Destirel began to follow Alysia out of the restaurant though her words about a group of girls finding him cute got a cocky smile to form on his lips. Snickering, he looked over at the table of girls and winked. A burst of giggles and whispering erupted though at this time Destirel had noticed that Alysia had already left the building. Turning away, he hurriedly jogged after her.
"Sorry about that." Destirel muttered expecting a disgusted retort from the golden eyed beauty. He liked to tease sometimes though it was a bit of an ego booster, plus he liked the attention. There were anterior motives behind it though. The aching of a raw and painful loneliness that always was present, even if he shoved it to the back of his mind. Sure he may not act it, but he was quite lonely and the attention from others, no matter the means behind it, was usually something Destirel enjoyed.
Thinking about it, Destirel wondered where Alysia was planning on going. A good place where no one could witness her preform a bit of magic. His eyebrow raised lopsidedly in though as he sipped his chocolate milkshake to go. "Do you have any idea of where you would like to go?" He questioned her as his ever pale green eyes trained onto her golden hair. The obvious answer would be one of the realms of the gods but that really wasn't an option. Her dorm wasn't either as someone could walk in and depending on what the amulet's hidden secret was; it could be dangerous. So if Alysia didn't have any idea, than that would leave it up to Destirel to figure something out. ((Once again I so so so soooo sorry I haven't responded until now. ))

Alysia blinked her eyes regarding Destirel with an emotionless expression. It was his buisiness not hers. Givng a small shrug of her shoulders she traced her fingers lightly across her amulet. " It's okay. " She spoke not particularly phased by his actions. " They seemed okay." Not dwelling on the matter.
Where would she like to go? That was a very good question. Where did she intend on going. It had to be somewhere she could safely use her powers without consequence. Without knowing the full extend of what the amulet could do it hardly made things easy. With a sheepish expression she shook her head. " I was going to go to the trees, or my dorm but I don't think thats a good idea." " I'm sorry. I don't know where to go. " She admitted.

"They weren't my type." Destirel commented, eying Alysia as she seemed to not find his actions rude or obnoxious. Plus why would he waste his time staring at them for a few hours when he could spend time with Alysia. He would be that she was much nicer and she was much more intriguing, in ore than one way. Pale green eyes looking almost distance, he turned his gaze from her and to the sky.
It looked like Alysia didn't have a suitable place in mind so Destirel nodded his head and thought for a moment. He had agreed with her. The dorm sounded like a good place but there was many a thing that could go wrong and the forest...once again something could go wrong with that. Pinching the bridge of his nose, Destirel sighed out loud. "Well, we could go up to somewhere high up or even a more secluded part of the world." He thought out loud, his voice soft and ever so calm; so much so that it almost sounded empty. Then his eyes snapped open and a light smile formed on his lips. "I have a place in mind. Do you like the ocean?" He questioned, an almost pleasant look in his eyes. He had a way to get to a secluded island in the middle of the ocean and then back but it would only work once until he could get Hecate to refill the power in it. Destirel himself was not capable of such a thing but that didn't mean he didn't mind asking someone for help with refilling something.

Alysia giggled softly at Destirel's comment. " Oh. You have a type. " Finding it amusing she laughed softly. As he pinched the bridge of his nose she couldn't help but think it looked rather cute. Embarrassed by her thoughts she quickly looked away from him blushing some what.
" Wouldn't somewhere secluded be better?" She inquired not wanting to risk hurting any human. It really wasn't a question she had too think much over. Ocean + sun yep she was in. With a smile she nodded her head. "Yes I do. "
