Destirel smirked. "Of course I have a type. Blonde, beautiful, and fun in bed." He plastered a very serious look on his face but then broke down in a big smile that made it obvious he was kidding. He didn't quite know his type but he knew that those girls were definitely not it. He wanted an intelligent girl who could talk with him for hours or just sit and read a book in silence with him. Smiling he shrugged his shoulders some but the smile faded quickly as he got back into his serious mood.
"Great. The ocean it is." He responded and dug down into one of his pockets to pull out a small silver ring with words etched into it. Slipping it on he pulled her into a tight embrace. "Hold on." He whispered, his voice sounding almost seductive as he was excited to see her reaction. And with that, they vanished. Of course they were in public but Destirel had already thought about that. This ring not only teleported them to the beach but it also made their little disappearing act unnoticeable by those who happened to be looking at him. It was a neat trick and only had a two way pass.
Suddenly they were swept from the city streets to a hot and sandy beach. The air was fresh with a tang of salt in the air. Golden sands and blue seas, the sky seemed to melt in with the water. Stepping back from Alysia, Destirel smiled and looked at her. "What do you think?" He questioned but then held a thoughtful look. He forgot the bathing suits. If Alysia wanted to go swimming later, he would have to go and get her something.

Alysia whipped her head up her eyes wide at Destirel's words. His tone so serious. No surely he was kidding. Tilting her head she studied his face relaxing when he smiled. " Smart Aleck. " She commented with a faint smile on her lips.
Nodding her head at his words her eyes scanned the ring with a curious expression on her face. " That's pretty. " She commented. Pulled into a tight embrace she gasped softly. " Oh..kay." She mumbled. Slowly as if on their own accord her arms moved her wrapping around his waist as he held her close. " Wont someone see?" She whispered looking around with a some what worried expression. She wasn't comfortable using powers around any humans.
Dropping her hands to her side she gazed around the beach quietly taking a step away from Destirel. Why did she have to get so embarrassed easily. Fixing her gaze onto the beach she breathed in the salty air. Heaven. Bending down she pulled her shoes off. " That's better. " She commented. Standing up she smiled still throughly embarrassed though. " It's nice. " Well she may as well get down to business they were here for a reason after all. Unclasping the amulet she held it loosely in the palm of her head. " So what do I do?"

Destirel had to bite his tongue at Alysia's reaction to his earlier comment. He wanted to laugh at how freaked out she had seemed but he only rolled his eyes in humor.
Her reaction to the beach however, was a relief. Taking off of his shoes as well, Destirel explained to her how they were unable to be seen. "The ring also works as a kind of illusion. If someone happened to be looking at us, they wouldn't have been able to see us just mysteriously vanishing. So no need to worry about that." With a slight shrug of his shoulders, he smiled and squinted up into the sky. The breeze was lovely and the calls of exotic birds could be heard coming from the forest a little ways behind them.
Walking closer to her, Destirel held a thoughtful looks as he tried to think of the best way to explain it to her. He had pretty well told her what to do earlier but he knew that it would be a somewhat daunting task for someone who wasn't trained very well in their own arts. With a soft breath, Destirel spoke. "Just concentrate. Feel the aura of the object and then feel your own and try and match it. If you do that then you can push some of your will into the object. We can go from there." His tone was soft but confident, sounding as if he didn't expect her to fail though it was obvious by the look in his eyes when he looked on her, that he wouldn't mind if she didn't succeed. They had time and it was a beautiful and warm day.

Alysia breathed a soft sigh of relief as he explained no one would have seen them. " Oh that's good." Turning her head she looked to wards the forest hearing the calls from the birds. " It really is beautiful here. " With a smile she looked up at Destirel as he walked closer to her. Why did his words have to sound so easy? She had little faith in her power yet he made it sound like something she could do.
Tracing her finger across the chain of her amulet she studied it quietly. Just concentrate on the aura from the amulet. Okay she could do that. Already she could feel the aura of the amulet spreading through her body creating the warmth of the sun.
Closing her eyes she felt for her own aura trying to match them. Then point blank nothing. It wouldn't work. With a sigh she opened her eyes a few minutes later unclasping her fist from around the amulet. " It...it didn't work. " Ever frustrated she sat on the sand. " I told you I couldn't do it."

Destirel wanted to say something to Alysai as she commented on how beautiful it was here but he held his tongue. For one she would probably get all embarrassed and what he was going to say would have been so cheesy, swarms of mice would be on him in a less than a second.
Watching her try out his idea made Destirel happy. She looked awfully cute standing their concentrating, her golden hair moving ever so slightly due to the soft breeze that was dancing around. The sound of the surf lulled Destirel into a peaceful state of mind though it was broken as a sigh emitted from Alysia and she sat down on the sand. A soft smile formed on his lips as he walked to where she was sitting, his pale green eyes never leaving her as he kneeled down in front of her.
"I said I was confident in your ability to do it but I never said that I expected you to do it your first try." His voice was soft and his eyes slightly distant as he gently took her hand in his own, the one that held the amulet. He took her other hand and placed it on top of the amulet, leaving his own to clasp her hands together, around the object. He could feel the warmth of her skin against his own, and it stirred an unusual feeling in him. His eyes now glowed the color of oxidizing copper as the strong emotion shuddered through him.
Though they also glowed as he pulled upon his own magic. "If you wish to try again, I can help you somewhat. Or we can move on to my second idea. Unless you have one?" He shrugged his shoulders, Destirels touch soft against her hands. He hoped that she didn't freak out from how he was holding her but alas, it would help to concentrate her energy though he wasn't sure if it would work perfectly. "It doesn't matter to me. After all, we are on a beach in the middle of the ocean." He added, his voice sounding cheerful though his brightened eyes showing his loneliness, deep down inside of him. It always seemed to be brought from the bottom of his soul when he let his magical energy flow through him.

Alysia drew in a shaky breathe blinking back tears. How humiliating it would be to cry in front of Destirel. She couldn't do what he asked of her. She was just going to make a fool of herself. Why did she bother to attempt it in the first place? Her powers were weak and pathetic there was no way she'd be able to successfully do what Destirel asked of her.
As he knelt down in front of her she childishly averted her gaze elsewhere. " I tried but I still couldn't do it. " His words caught her attention as she fell silent deep in thought. " What if I still can't do it?" Maybe it was a matter of practice. If at first you don't succeed get up and try again right?
With a blush on her face she looked up protesting some what as he grasped her hands clasping them together around the amulet. He wasn't giving her the opportunity to doubt herself. With a tiny shy smile she peered at their hands not pulling away from his touch. " It's a pretty beach though. " She replied. He held so much faith in her ability to do this. Maybe he would be the confidence booster she needed.
Gripping the amulet somewhat tighter in her grip she looked up into his eyes noting the change of colour. Her own eyes surely had to be glowing like crazy by now. " I'll try. I wont give up this time."

It looked to Destirel as though Alysia might cry, but he didn't mention noticing it at all. In stead he just smiled reassuringly to let her know that he though she could do it. Maybe not at first but with practice. He had faith that eventually she would be able to do it and even if that wasn't the answer, he would help her to figure out what it was that this amulet of hers was hiding. As long as she accepted his help, he would give it to her.
Her words of failure grated against Destirel's mood. She shouldn't feel so bad about not being able to do one thing. It was natural to fail a few times but you always should just get back up and try again. It was the way life worked be you god or human. Though Destirel was glad as Alysia seemed to perk up some with his actions, despite her turning away and not seeming to like the fact that he was holding her hands. However, it seemed to didn't mind enough to tell him to let go. Interesting...
'Not as pretty as you...' Destirel thought though he pushed the unsavory thought out of his mind, pinks tinged pink ever so slightly from it. Sighing mentally, he felt her grasp the amulet tighter, her gaze coming up to his own. And what a look it was. Her eyes a beautiful molten gold, like the sun but brighter. There seemed to be determination in her eyes now and Destirel smiled all the more for it. It was a good thing. He liked seeing her more confident like that, sure she was cute when she was shy, but for some reason, when he looked at her with her molten eyes, he felt as if he was falling into him. That probably wasn't all that good of a thing now was it? "Good. If you need me, I will be here." He then told her, voice sure and carrying tones of something else. An emotion that he wasn't quite sure of yet.

Destirel was right. He'd never said she'd get it right the first time she just had to keep trying. However it certiantly was easier said then done. As she tried to focus on the Amulets aura her eyes shone brightly as the power she possessed surged onto to return to their normal colour. " Nothing..." She couldn't help but feel severely disapointed.
Closing her eyes she drew in a deep breathe pushing away all negative thoughts. What good was it going to do if she lost control of her powers. " Well I need you. " She spoke simply. Opening her eyes she smiled up at him. " No one else would bother helping me." Feeling embarrassed she gazed down at their hands. " Can we stop for a bit?" She asked softly. " I just need to relax before I try again. " Feeling foolish that she'd lost her control she raised her head looking up at him shyly. " Is that okay?"

Watching her work was nice but he saw the surge of power and as it disappeared. He knew she would probably be feeling disappointing but that was alright. She had tried again and he was about to comment on it but then she said something that took him back a bit. If he didn't have a good control over his emotions, Destirel would have probably said something stupid. 'I need you', was what she had said and a slight tinge of pink colored his cheeks but he forced his odd embarrassment at her words away.
Smiling back at her, Destirel nodded his head. "I will be here to help when you need me." He spoke somewhat softly, his eyes looking at her face and then lowering down to their hands. It was then that he realized, he had yet to bother removing his hands from her own. He was comfortable there though. Her soft hands feeling nice in his own.
Slowly, Destirel slid his hands off of hers and put his gaze back on her face. She wanted to take a break? Well that was perfectly fine for him. Shrugging his shoulders some, he smiled. "You can take all the time you need." It was then that he stood and brushed the sand off of his slacks. It would be much nicer if he had bothered to bring a swim suit. If Alysia commented on it then he would go and get her and himself one but if not, oh well. ((This post is not my best...=[))

Alysia smiled shyly up at Destirel before glancing once more at their hands. She was embarrassed, that much was obvious the blush on her face gave it away yet she still made no attempt to move her hands away. How different it was now yesterday she'd been terrified of Destirel now she was calm and relaxed around him. " Thank you Destirel. " Her words holding more meaning.
Destirel had helped her in so many ways. His confidence and faith in her was helping her grow more comfortable with the powers she possessed. With his help she'd be able to unlock the amulets secrets. Only to do that she needed a postive out look. She needed to relax obtain control of her powers once more. Was there a better place to do it then here?
As he slowly moved his hands away she looked up into his eyes. Feeling bashful she quickly looked away. Take her time she planned on doing just that. "Okay." She spoke softly. Clasping the amulet back around her neck she slowly stood up then peered down at Desirel. " Can we go for a walk?" She asked automatically including him in her plans to explore the island.

Her thanks made Destirel smile and he nodded his head. "You're welcome." Stuffing his hands into his pockets, Destirel looked around. The weather was peaceful and he knew for a fact that the island was relatively safe. Though he didn't want Alysia to go running off on her own. With her lack of destructive capabilities, or rather it was he was taking a guess that she might be caught off guard if something tried to attack her. He doubted anything would happen but if it did, Destirel wanted to keep her safe. After all what use would it be if their relationship came to a grinding halt after a giant cat tried to eat her.
Looking back down, he noticed the almost bashful look on Alysia's face. Destirel thought it was quite cute, but he didn't mention anything about it because that would be a bit weird. Right? Then she went and asked him about going for a walk. "That sounds like a wonderful idea. Of course." He responded in a cheery yet somewhat airy tone. It could be fun. Brushing a little bit more sand off of his pants, Destirel did a silly little bow and said, "After you."
This island wasn't on very many maps and it was basically unheard of now a days. It was small, you could walk the entire circumference in less than a day and it took but a few hours if you went straight across. There was nothing very odd about this island though, the biggest thing being that it occasionally moved. It wasn't like those myths about a giant turtle swimming in the ocean, its back a living ecosystem in and of itself. It was your average island. There were of course animals on here that had gone extinct some time back but it wasn't like a lost world either. Just a lost little island, floating on a path to nowhere in the middle of the ocean.

Alysia cast a glance down at Destirel before smiling shyly. Once more she contemplated the fact that she felt so comfortable around him. Why indeed? As he stood up she nodded her head at his words. " A walk would be nice." She agreed to his cheery tone. Giggling at his bow she took a step. " Okay let's go...that way." She decided. Raising her hand she pointed towards the forest.
The forest had to be alright didn't it? The loud calls of the birds still sounded and she was ever fond of animals. Leaving her shoes on the beach she began to walk towards t;he forest. " Apart from the birds is there other animals in the forest?" Tilting her head her eyes fell onto Destirel with a curious expression before looking once again at the forest.
Eris would flip had the muse known she was here. Running a hand through her hair she twirled her fingers around the ends. A terrible nervous habit she hadn't ever quite managed to kick. Why did she care what Eris thought. It wasn't like she'd ever left the muse before infact she was always so perfectly well behaved. Shouldn't she be allowed a day to herself?

Looking to were Alysia had pointed to, Destirel raised his eyebrows. The forest eh, well what else had he been expecting? It wasn't that it was particularly dangerous, it was just that he had expected Alysia to want to walk along side the ocean or something like that but now...It seemed to Destirel that Alysia wanted to go exploring more so than take a walk. The calls from the forest were enticing though, especially to one who had never been here before. Destirel of course had only been here a few times, but he had been here enough to explore the basics of the island and even find one or two favorite spots.
Her question about animals other than the birds made Destirel smile. "Yes, there is quite a variety for such a small island. There are many lizards and members of the primates. There are some wild cats as well." Shrugged his shoulder's he followed her towards the treeline. "There are a few animals that are only found here as well, some of them though can be a bit dangerous." His voice was serious at the end, showing that he wasn't joking. It was as much of a warning as he was going to give her. After all, he didn't want to crush her adventurous spirit now did he.
Watching her out of the corner of his eye, Destirel smiled. He had seen her twirl her hair a lot to day, figuring it to be a bit of a nervous tick. "You know, you look awfully cute when you do that." He teased, before realizing what he had said. He hoped she didn't take offense to it. Most girls wouldn't, but it seemed that when he had complemented Alysia earlier, the girl would get too flustered to think straight. Though that could have just been him thinking too hard about it after all.

Alysia smiled softly then gazed quietly across towards island towards the island. "Wild cats?" Rather then be afraid she looked up at Destirel a small smirk on her lips at his serious tone. Eather then be afraid she stiffled a giggle. Maybe she'd have to show Destirel how animals acted around her. A tiger, no problem she'd made the one at the zoo lay down and act obedient when she was meerely five. Not that her mother had liked her small stunt.
Eyes growing wide she looked away blushing feverously. " Oh..umm." Flustered she looked once more at the forest at a loss on what to say. Still blushing she began to walk towards the forest.

That wasn't quite the reaction that Destirel had been expecting from Alysia but he liked it. She didn't seemed to mind the fact that there were potentially dangerous animals and that they were going to be walking into their territory. In fact, Destirel would almost have to say that she looked smug. Hm, maybe she had a power that he was unaware of. He was quite curious about that. Damian was good with animals but he was best with the canine group, anything outside of that and well, he was just like another person. Unless of course you counted the powers and his status of prince of the underworld. Yup, other than that he was perfectly normal. "Of course, some of them are quite nasty and in other places, extinct." He shrugged his shoulders as if it was no big deal and not all that surprising because to him, it really wasn't.
Alysia's reaction to his comment though was exactly as he expected. Following her, he smiled some. She really was quite attractive and if he didn't know any better... nope, not going to happen, he mused unhappily. He didn't like it when his mind went there but of course he was a male and a god at that. For some reason the power must just go to their heads, ahem, head. Destirel, however, was also different from most of the male gods. He could control himself and, he was hoping to find just one female who would be accommodating towards him. He wanted someone that he wouldn't get bored with. That was the gods problems, they always seemed to pick the wrong people, plus they just wanted what ever nice piece of female flesh walked in front of them next. Sure, Destirel liked women, he would be the first to admit that but he did have emotions that needed to be looked at too. He might find many girls attractive, but he hoped to only have one that he would truly love. ((Can you say sappy? haha))
