It was strange how hot the sun could get during the morning when it was high in the sky. Sweat rolled off the men working on unloading a recent incoming merchant's ship that had arrived at dawn. Darius to helping since it was good money, especially when it was a foreigner's merchandise. They tended to be less stingy with paying the crew. Or so he thought...The captain was a real piece of work, a rather large white male with face like a bulldog. He had a permanent grimace on his face it seemed and only spoke in a barking tone demeaning of the men working under him. His foreman, a dark skinned man with a shaved head, tribal tattoos traveling up his arms and back, and obviously fine foreign clothing was no better. He watched the men like a hawk, actually taking to beating a man who dropped some of the cargo. Darius gave the foreman a harsh look as he passed him, receiving a glare in return that threatened a similar punishment if he dared to do anything. He didn't feel like the man needed much to provoke him to raise a hand to another... Darius kept quiet and did his work, silently steaming at his inability to do much, which was noted by those he often worked with. "Seems we see more of these Western merchants everyday." An older man mentioned to Darius as he passed him carrying a crate. Darius shuffled a large package he had over one shoulder, to better offset the weight, and to provide himself time to ease his aggression. "Strangers in our ports and you'd think they'd be a bit more gracious for the available hands." Darius said with a frown which drew a chuckle from the older man. "Kid, the harbor master doesn't care how they treat the help as long as the import and export fees are paid. You should know that by now." Darius sighed, knowing it fully well but not liking it. He was a worker but a human as well. He deserved better than the dog like treatment, all of them did. But life was life, money was money, and assholes were assholes. Money could shine them up, but it couldn't buy them dignity or class. He threw a glance at a younger boy, new to work, perhaps just turned 15, struggling with a box about his size. Darius went over to him, putting one hand beneath the box and helping leverage it so the kid could get a grip. The boy thanked him but Darius simply nodded and moved along side him. Paying attention to the balance of the box so the boy didn't drop it, he failed to see the carriage passing through till it was inches in his path. He jumped back a step, eyes darting to the carrier box that was a mere inch from him. He caught sight of a young woman looking outside though he wasn't sure if she even saw him. She was a pretty girl, no doubt someone of importance by the finery of her clothes and the way she looked so put together. Even in that brief flash he got a sense of grace to her, high profile dignity he had seen in women of the world he was from. Shoutin from the foreman drew Darius's attention away from his thoughts, making him look overhis shoulder to see the foreman gesturing wildly at him and cursing about him breaking something and paying a price. It drew a smirk out of Darius who went back to work before he got in any more trouble. ~~~~~ Lysandra stared at herself in the mirror, adjustin the hair pin in her hair that held the blonde tresses away from her face. Her mother had fretted and planned out her dress, putting her in a burgundy colored dress that draped in an ethereal sort of gown. It was pretty, looked expensive, even though it was a few years dated. Lysandra loved the color, especially the gold colored stitching worked in the accentuate the folds and neckline. It was a pretty dress, and would keep her cool in the heat of the day as she went out with the two girls she met last night. She was nervous about the outing but didn't think it would be much trouble. No doubt she would do fine... "Lysandra, come down! Our guests will be here soon!" Her mother shouted, drawing Lysandra from her vanity and down the stairs in a hurry. No sooner had she reached the bottom, her mother drew her to the door to greet the guests as was customary. "Good morning friends, I hope you rested well." Lysandra said, something her mother told her to say since it was all about etiquette at this point while still around her.

They were passing by the docks now almost to their destination, however a large ship with pretty large sails caught her attention since they were so vast and her mother never let them by the docks to see the ships. She called them filthy and depraved just as then men who worked them- besides the rich imports of course- she mentioned them. Her eyes went to a boy carrying a box about the size of him, a bit older of a man next to him, holding the box, helping him. They were so close to the carriage she could have reached out and touched them with ease- which scared her a bit- they could have hit them. She panicked a bit and looked over at her little sister who was still half asleep and just not there in mind. Glancing back she took in minor details she could so she could apologize if she got a chance later,s he felt bad for almost hitting them both. Calming down of the remaining time they pulled to the house and got out. They were greeted politely- her little sister awake now of course and social. "Good morning! Indeed- I'm so excited about to day!" She said with a big smile, before glancing back at her sister innocently. "Aren't you excited about today Anemone?" She asked her catching her off guard as it seemed her mind was else where. "Oh- yes I am. Lovely home you have- are you ready to head out?" She asked in a small voice however it was still not as shy as Lysandra's. It was soft but not shy. She was anxious to apologize since her father made sure they knew that as a child- to always be able to apologize in good time. They headed out easily, Amrena chatting away as usual as they headed back, she was quiet glancing out the windows looking for the two they almost hit. Amrena noticed but chose to ignore her sister thinking she was just looking for a flower or something silly like usual. They stopped on the opposite side from the docks, in the market area with the more upper class shops in it however she liked to look in the poorer shops for things with more sentimental value then useless things of only face value. Anemone had the coins as she was the eldest and was confident enough to hold them. None would assault a noble in the street- as it would lead to their death and they all knew it. They looked at the jewelry shops and the glass wares, making jokes with the hats, mostly Amrena there but she liked to be silly. Her eyes however still kept looking as they got closer to the docks however- after about a few hours of messing around she slipped off from them down behind a tent vendor area and weaved through a few till she was out of sight of her sister, crossing the street to the dock district. It was a very definite change from market to docks she found a profound one in the air alone to begin with. it smelled of salt and sweat, men, and wood- cargo she assumed. There were people working about moving things and some standing about however when she spotted the boy whom she had seen and nearly hit earlier she took a few steps towards him to call out to apologize however he tripped and fell, busting the box. The boy looked panicked and she saw why. A large dark skinned man with a few scary looking tattoos went and started screaming at him, and beating him. Her eyes went wide and she didn't honestly know what happened next. She found her self by the large man and she had a calm look on her face." You lay one more hand on that boy and I will have you skinned." The man looked back at her with a glare and looked at her as thought she were a whore. "And what is it to you what I do with my workers woman?!" He yelled at her which made her cheeks pink however she didn't let her chin drop. "I am a Terebourne. A noble in this city and the port happens to be owned by a very close family friend of my families. If you can't treat your workers with more respect then I suspect you might just get banned- word gets around quickly after all in a city such as this-nobles and our gossip." She said, her voice not hostile but there was still a threat. It was a passive way she liked so it wasn't up front but it was inferred- one had to be smart enough to get away with things in her family. The man glared at her and his face calmed however his eyes stayed narrowed at her threat. "Very well. My apologies...However what is a daughter of a noble doing here in the dock districts?" He asked her with a sly tone making her smile at him lightly in return to his question. "I came here looking for this boy and another man I needed to speak with." The man smiled back at the pretty girl but he was taking advantage of the situation here now. "Well your little conversations are making them clumsy and costing me money- who will pay for this broken crate of goods now?" Her smile disappeared and looked at the goods on the ground noticing they were cheap quality and she smiled back at him, taking out her coin purse and handing him about fifteen gold- twice what the product was worth at most. "That should cover the cheap product. Now if you excuse me sir...I need to speak with some people, and watch out you never know who could be watching your actions."She turned away from the man and looked back at the boy- the man taking the money and simply walking off probably deciding to beat he boy later but it wasn't her concern if they boy stayed after this. "Are you alright? Did he hurt you? Oh yes original purpose Anemone... I wanted to apologize for almost hitting you earlier this morning with the carriage. The driver didn't see you..." She had a dainty look on her face but her cheeks were still pink for having spoken to a man in such a way and acting out of character for her but she just got so angry when she saw that man beating this boy. It just infuriated her to see cruelties happening to others, she couldn't stand it- it hurt her heart to see it. CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GANGNAM STYLE

Darius heard the commotion and watched as heads snapped in the direction of the kid and the foreman. Darius had heard the kid squalling from inside the ship and had climbed on deck to see what was going on. Seem his legs had given out from all the work and he dropped the damn crate. Darius cursed under his breath and took hold of a nearby rope to go do something about it, but it seemed like fate had other plans. Their was a collective shock when a well dressed, perfectly frilly woman got in the way of the beating, asserting herself like she owned the docks. The foreman looked ready to slap her around too, but it seemed whatever she was saying made him stop. He couldn't really hear what was being said but he could assume by the smirks on faces from men near the scene that she was giving the man a bit to chew on. Darius's lip twitched into a frown when he saw her pay the foreman, who went off looking satisfied but vengeful. He knew there would be hell to pay for the kid yet. His attention however went to the woman as she looked back to the boy and began to speak to him. "Oh no, no, no..." He muttered, as The woman must have been naïve, a kind hearted kind of reckless he could sympathize with, but you had to be smart about it. Kindness got you no where when dealing with people who had been oppressed and beaten down by the privileged their whole lives. Death was punishment for so much as laying a hand on a woman of that world, but that meant the person had to get caught first. Down here, in a port with ships coming and going and a part town where harm of a rich man's daughter wouldn't be reported, let alone cared for by the authorities put in charge of the slum, things were never totally safe. He learned that quickly after only day wound him up bloodied after having his ass kicked over stopping a man from abusing Ysold. To be an obviously affluent woman in a bad part of town, this girl had a dangerous combination. He rolled his eyes and seized a rope near him, using it to slide down onto the dock. The boy stared at Anemone with wide eyes and blinked, looking blown away that such a pretty girl would stand up for him. He seemed to be floundering for something to say, though his confusion showed by his eyes narrowing a little at her saying she was here to apologize about nearly running him over. The boy straightened however when he saw Darius approaching from just around the girl. He quickly came up beside her, knowing it was probably not a good idea, but took her by the arm and guided her up straighter in gentle but firm. "I don't suppose you take many trips down here, Miss. But we need to get you out of here before you draw more attention than you already have." He told her, pulling her away from the boy with a pace that was easy to match. The boy scrambled to his feet and followed, taking up stride beside Darius and looking at Anemone as if he were still trying to say something. Darius looked at the kid with a surprised raise of his brow before he puffed out a sigh. "Christ now you have an admirer." He said, a smile tugging at his lips as he gave the kid quick jerk of his head to tell him to get out of there. The kid looked to her and gave a bloody lipped smile before he hobble ran off towards a nearby alley. Darius assumed he was goin back to whatever orphanage lent him out for the day. He would check in on him later, but only once he handled the woman that was clearly out of place. "Now, mind telling me what possessed you to step in? I know your heart is in the right place with helping him. That took guts... But you shouldn't have done that. He won't be able to be near this dock for a whole week now since that man is the type to hold a grudge." He muttered, eyes darting to a few of the men that were looking his way with the girl. One gave Anemone a whistle and a few others leered, but most looked uneasy and unsure of how to perceive her. Darius actually being next to her was a deterrence for someone trying to approach her, but not much of one. "Don't make eye contact. Keep looking forward. They might take staring the wrong way." He added after a second when he realized that she must have been confused or angry with him being near her or let alone touching her. He wouldn't hurt her, just make sure she at least got back to the market district she no doubtedly came from. He remembered her face from the carriage, though he couldn't be too sure. He wasn't much for details these days.

She didn't honestly know why the boy simply looked at her with wide eyes. She was speaking properly right? She was looking a little doubtful that the boy even knew how to speak when another man, taller then herself came over beside her, taking her arm in his hand. It was rough but it wasn't tight or harsh- it was a guiding hand such as her fathers would have been. Listening to his words she looked at him with a thinking look. She was wondering where she had seen hi before- he seemed familiar some how. She watched the small back and forth between the man and the boy whom had been smiling at her. She thought it was cute however the blood there made her angry to see, it reminded her of the man who had beat him. She stayed quiet as they made their way along the dock back towards the market district. She hadn't noticed she had walked that far into the docks area, but then again when she was angry she often didn't remember doing much. When asked what possessed her to step in she finally looked up at him, a few cat calls and such were echoes in the back ground but she finally planted her feet firmly and stopped walking, making the man stop as well. They were far enough away from the others that she didn't mind standing by the man but she was going to ignore them- she wouldn't have even noticed them honestly. "The boy was clearly being over worked and beating the child won't change his performance. That man made me so angry I kinda blanked out and found my self there. I'm sorry. I came here to apologize to that boy and another man for almost hitting them this morning. I felt terrible about it and I was raised to always make up for my wrongs." She said in a way of her being stubborn, yet her voice was gentle but stern enough for the ma to know she was sincere in her thoughts and actions. "I can pay for his labor if it will keep him from being hurt again. I hate seeing being treated so cruelly...it disgusts me." She said her tone slightly angry but it was a soft anger, making it sound like she was grumbling. She sighed knowing how silly and childish she must have sounded. She really had no business being there but it was a thing she had been raised to do in person so she felt no shame in her actions. She was looking at his face now, working on figuring out where exactly she had seen him until after a moment of silence she looked a little surprised," Oh, You are the other person I had to apologize to. I'm sorry for almost hitting you this morning. It was unacceptable of my driver." She said with a slight ting to her cheeks since she felt silly for not having recognized him in the first place. She trusted easily which was a down fall of hers but she could get herself out of messes if needed. She wasn't with out defenses, and the like- but she did have a big heart- a big bleeding heart. When she came to a sudden halt, Darius took a step forward but eased back that step to be near her. He released her of course at this point, his hand falling to his side. Her stubborn look was rather surprising for such a soft looking face, the anger almost not looking heated enough to be as felt as he assumed she wanted it to be. Her voice was just too soft for the words, something that made him curious rater than annoyed by how she responded. So she wasn't just a face, but had a little bite to her. That was interesting to say the least, especially since she was the type to jump out of her cart to go apologize to a couple workers over some small infraction. She was a strange one. He couldn't expect a girl of her standard to be desensitized by all that. He sure as hell wasn't when he was back at home, in his perfect little sphere of a golden world. His thoughts were broken when she suddenly apologized to him, making the connection to him and the boy. He folded his arms when she spoke of being 'disgusted' by the cruelty. He hadn't expected that to come out of another person's mouth, not one from his background of money at least. For such a refined looking lady, she sure had a way of saying exactly what was on her mind. It was refreshing... "It's good to hear someone has a heart still, or at least acknowledges small things like that." His brows rose when her cheeks turned a cute hue of pink and it made him smile slightly at how things had turned out. He knew he probably shouldn't ask, but he was curious about this girl that reminded him of something delicate that had a voice in her that was stronger than her appearance let on. It couldn't hurt to at least speak to her a bit more kindly than he allowed himself earlier. "So you mean to tell me you came into the ports, unescorted, to say your sorry for nearly running someone over?" He asked, his question more rhetorical since he knew the answer. It sounded foolish, reckless and uncharacteristic of a lady of status, but almost funny in a way. "Well, aren't you interesting." He said with slight humor to his tone, though his eased look showed he wasn't making fun of her necessarily. He was just being honest with her, since she felt so inclined to share her thoughts with a stranger that could very well be just as bad as that foreman. Hadn't her parents taught her stranger danger? To say the least, he was glad she wasn't a primadona or emotional. It made this quick transaction of words easier. "I can't say I get many apologies from strangers. Have a name? I'm sure the kid would like to know it too." He added the last bit, since he was sure he was going to be talking about this to his little friends no doubt. Darius was curious actually to find out which family she was from. To be honest, he hadn't met many that sympathized with any causes for the poor or even took notice of the injustice of the caste system.

When he spoke of people still having a heart she wondered if every one there was as bad as the foreman had been. The man stated a rhetorical question it seemed however she felt she needed to correct him on a bit of it. "I wasn't uncontested I simply slipped away. My name is Anemone Terebourne. Its a pleasure to meet you?" She ended her statement in a questions form to perhaps get his name as well. He was pretty now that he was really paying attention to him. He seemed to have a personality away from a girl who had money to immediately get married- he was more of the joking type- she found that interesting. Looking his face over, she hoped it wasn't too obvious but she couldn't help it. Behind the dirt and some grim from working all morning then man had a beautiful face. The structure of it was just smooth yet it held his personality well- kept his expressions practiced and well executed . "And if those men are so bad to your friends- why don't you go else where for work? I can't imagine the pay is good..." She muttered as she glanced back at the ship, giving it a little glare before letting her face fall back it the little smile she had. --------------------- Amrena was looking at things and hadn't noticed her sister slip off which made her frown when she did look up and she had only Lysandra there. Mother had warned her about that, saying she did so as a little girl as well. With a sigh she put the object she had been looking at back down and smiled at Lysandra," Did you see where Anemone went off to? I was thinking about getting this necklace for mother. Did you find anything you wanted?" She asked her wondering what kind of things she liked when out from under the watchful eye of her mother. CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GANGNAM STYLE

Lysandra looked up from the cloth she was holding, the scarf like wrap very intricate with it's designs and patterns. It looked exotic, carefully sewed and the material was impeccably soft. It made her smile as she ran her fingers over it, feeling the pull of the stitches. She once liked to do things like this to sew and create while her brother was off working. She actually had a hand in embroidery, but that fell through when they were forced to consolidate their spending. Darius told her she had the heart of an old woman, spending her day collecting dust as she sewed. He even once joked that her god could have been Clotho, the weaver of fate. She brushed it off in good laughs. But secretly she wondered if that could have been true perhaps. She looked away from the fabric when Amrena spoke to her, bringing to her attention that Anemone had left them. Her sister seemed concerned but not enough to stay on topic. Lysandra frowned, looking around her a bit to see that in fact she hadn't the faintest idea where to begin to find her. This was a big city and every alley lead somewhere new. She hardly explored enough to know. "Where would she have gone? It's dangerous to wander." She said as she waved off the vendor that was trying to sell her the scarf. She looked to Amrena and gave a nod to the necklace. "It's pretty. I'm sure your mother would love it." She said though her eyes did flick to the ships just there in the distance. The sails and masts weren't as familiar to her as they were Darius, but she did see the beauty in the way they looked against a clear sky. She was her father's child after all and the man couldn't get enough of the ocean air. ~~~~ Darius gave her a long look when she said her name, the name ringing a bell. The father Marren Terebourne, was a good man, proper and good with detail. He remembered him from a meeting with merchants he attended with his father. He didn't know Marren had daughters, let alone that the man had settled down. Not that he had cared at the time. His focus wasn't on current politics with people, but in improving them. However, it seemed Marren's daughter was like him, out spoken but not with a passion he would expect. She was still reserved, almost controlled in a way. Even if her thoughts were blatantly displayed...her mention of finding other work drew a tenseness to him, since he didn't expect to have her question something like that so soon, to care really. He realized he was people analyzing again and made himself smile to off set his quiet contemplation. He would answer her questions bit by bit. "I'm Darius, no one of the same importance, but thanks for the apology and thought." He gave a sigh and decided to address the other question next, keeping it sounding as detached, though it was obvious by his face that there was a sort of uneasy tone to his expression. It was almost sad, but just slightly enough that it could be played off as exhaustion. He was never good at keeping emotions from his face. "Because responsibility out weighs personal feelings. I'm sure you can understand that to some degree." He said, not chiding or joking in tone. He was not belittling her or even saying she didn't know the price people paid for their families. Women of privilege probably knew that just as much men, on different levels but still had to suffer to gain as well. "A job is a job, and money is bad no matter where you look for it. The difference is fewer places choose to not care who works for them. But enough about that. Don't let the bad affect the good this place offers. Where else can you get such a view of the ships, the water...right?" He said, wanting to at least share with someone his opinion on things. He didn't get to often these days. "Now my turn to ask something, why would a daughter of the Terebourne family be down in a merchants market near the docks? The nicer stores and stalls are closer to the main square..." He asked, wanting to know where he had to get her back to. She didn't just jump out a carriage and run all the way down here, she had to have been close by to even remember where to go to 'apologize'.

At the words that her mother would love it she nodded asking the vendor to hold it for her. She glanced about herself and looked for her sister- not seeing her, a frown on her lips. "She knows its dangerous to wander I'm just wondering what she is doing? She only wanders off when she has a purpose." She told Lysandra wondering what possessed her sister to just leave them unattended in the markets- it was a safest area there but still- it wasn't smart. Her mother had put Anemone in charge and it seemed she gave it to the wrong sister after all. With a sigh she went and had a seat on a bench and huffed wondering when her sister was going to wander back. ~~~~ She heard his tone change a bit when he spoke, it was different from his earlier tone, which made her brow furrow slightly in her thoughts. Had she said something to upset him? She hoped not he seemed like a nice enough person. Nodding she understood what it was to pay the price for ones family, as her father had told her that she had to put her families needs before her own her whole life. It seemed this man had a heard life providing for those in his family, she could understand that and why he would choose to take jobs such as this. At him trying to make the conversation lighter she smiled lightly at him looking back out on the water, " Indeed, Father never let us come this way- but I like to look at the ships- they are pretty with their sails in the setting sun- the hues are splendid." Her tone was soft but she did seem to be enjoying the conversation turn. When he said he was asking things she turned a humored expression to him," I came here to apologize as we have already discussed Darius. I like to look at the other shops not just the ones who charge too much for things with only face value. Besides I'm sure my sister and her friend haven't even noticed me gone." She said walking back with him towards the street. She knew she had to get back but it was nice to have this man with her. She was very aware of the eyes on her and she was a bit uncomfortable with it. CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GANGNAM STYLE

Lysandra didn't exactly like the plan of just waiting around but she felt they really didn't have a choice. If Anemone came backlooking for them, it would be best to stay in the same place after all. "She wanders off for purposes? That's different." She said softly, since she hadn't thought to leave on her own somewhere. She knew places with crowds and dark corners were dangerous for a woman and especially those with money. Darius would never let her go out without someone with her at all times, due to the fact he and father did enough business in the dcks to know they were full of all types, good and bad. ~~~ Darius rolled his eyes a bit at her response to his question, since she stated the obvious yet again but certainly not the whole truth. She meant to tell him she came to the lower level markets for the day just to apologize? But when she clarified that she liked the small shops for the craftsmanship and unique feel, he understood it a bit better. "You should see this place at dawn. It's a pleasant surprise...Not that I'm saying you should run off to he docks more often. You're father's a smart man that I know you don't want to upset." He said as he walked alongside her towards the crowd. The closer he got, the more he began to let her take lead since she knew who she was looking for and he wanted to be sure she found them. She said her sister and friend so it must be someone young as her. He would of course fade out easily when she found them, he didn't want to intrude after all. "And I'm promise you Lady Anemone, people don't forget a pretty woman. I'm sure your sister is worried." He told her to offset his compliment he threw in towards her. She was a pretty woman and he wasn't afraid to say such.

Nodding Amrena smirked at the girl. Watching a few people pass by them before she spoke, "She is like father and believes if the purpose is well enough she would sneak off and do what her honor called for. Silly flower." She said calling her sister a name she hadn't called her in a long time. She kept her eyes about however wondering where she was going to come from, what direction and what she had found or what she had to do. ~~~ He spoke of her father which made her slow her steps a bit finding herself a bit curious as to how. She glanced over at him and looked him over, thinking of how to ask him about her father however she couldn't help but be taken off guard a bit by his words of her being pretty. Her cheeks a few shades darker pink she smiled at him, pushing some hair from her face, the light breeze bowing it about. "Thank you Darius- its nice to know you like the way I look. However I have a question if I might ask you- how do you know my father? He isn't down at the docks often at all." She asked him, her tone curious as she had stopped walking again but their time they were in the market district now, having crossed the street. She thought for a moment before continuing her words however since she suddenly felt like she was intruding on this man who had gone out of his way to escort her back and be polite to her. "If you don't want to answer me, that is alright- I am just a stranger after all." She said to him with a kind smile, hoping he would answer her since shew as curious if he didn't however she might just have to come back and track him down. She liked talking to him and that never happened often to her since she preferred her silence gardens. CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GANGNAM STYLE

Darius hadn't realized he slipped up until she questioned him. He was just glad the compliment was received well, since he had hoped it kept the conversation off topics that it shouldn't stray to. He wasn't good at hiding his feelings and he didn't want to share personal things with a stranger. Especially not one that seemed to say exactly what she was thinking. He was a kindered spirit in that regard, but that could make for conversation that was too engaged for him at the moment. He was just escortin this girl, not looking for a friend or a similar mind to speak with. Even if so far he didn't mind her opinions or talking to her. If things had been different, he might have made her stay, made real time to speak with her properly. But that wasn't the reality of his current state and the gap between them socially. Pretty woman or not, it wouldn't be right for him to try and be friendly. So to her question, which was smoothed over nicely by an offer not to tell her, he decided to give her something to at least satisfy her intent to ask questions on the subject. He wouldn't lie to her, but he wouldn't just give her the truth either. He found a happy medium that hopefully would keep her from pursuing things like he was sure she would. ""you're well spoken. A good man teaches his children to be confident in their words. It was a lucky guess."He said, a half lie but not exactly. She was very well spoken and seemed to be well educated. Terebourne were a family of old wealth, not 'new rich' as his father called them. Those were the people that came into money and flaunted it like peacocks to fit into society. You could always tell who was raised in money and who wasn't. Even Darius held himself well, kept his speech proper and level even with his exhaustion. But that was beside the point... "See anyone familiar?" He asked, looking round him for anyone that seemed to recognize her. No one would recognize him like this, so he wAsnt worried of being noticed beyond looking like a peasant next to a queen. ~~~~~ Lysandra bit her lip in thought of Amrena's description as she spoke, knowing the girl loved her sister but could see frustration with her sister running off for a cause they had set in mind. Darius could get carried away when he got wrapped around the axel about something. He was an active personality, working for the good of others most times. She remembered the determination he showed when they were children. It impressed mother and father, made Darius strong and reliable to her, especially now when he was working so hard to help them. "It's good to have a strong personality. You can rely on them to do the right thing by you and others." She said, wondering a moment if Darius was working now.... As if fate whispered the action in her ear, she looked up and saw Anemone from a break in the crowd. She got up with a smile, "oh look Amrena. There she is." Her brows furrowed however when she noticed she was with a man, one who looked vaguely familiar even in the distance. She was about to mention it, till he gave Anemone a smile that she recognized from anywhere, even under the sweat and dirt. It was Darius. Her heart stopped and she wanted to run over and hug him or say hello but her brother would scold her. She couldn't associate with him, especially not in public. Mother would have a heart attack or be angry. She swallowed hard as her mind struggled to find a solution to this cruel act of fate.

She rose a brow at him but the smile kept on as well as the light blush that had died down a bit. "So because I am well spoken-and my last name matches you assume I am related? Interesting way to say things with out speaking. You didn't have to answer, you seem to have caught my interest now, curiosity really..." She said however the more she spoke the more it sounded like she wasn't even talking to him. She often did this however her plants never really complained about her change of subjects and focuses. With a light sigh she looked about, a large crowd between them and the rest of the market areas, she did however catch a glimpse of the two girl's blonde hair as it stuck out. She glanced over at him when he smiled at her and she couldn't help but blush. She never had some one that pretty smiling at her, she liked it. His teeth were well set and straight, a pretty white color as well- unlike most dock workers who's were gross and rotted. "I do see them, I appreciate you help and kindly conversation Darius. I hope you will save me from strange men in odd places again, as I seem to fall into these situation because I'm a little strange. I hope to see you again Darius." She said her cheeks a few shades of pink as she walked a head and threw the crowd, her hands in front of her as she tried to keep her excitement to herself. Her chest was trying to contain her heart and her cheeks were on fire still. Walking towards her sister who was getting up to scold her now, her own cheeks a bit red from anger. "What in the worlds were you doing way over there?! You should have said something!" She said to her in an angered tone as she took the bag of money and went over to the seller of the necklace, leaving Anemone and Lysandra there together. She bowed her head and took the words from her sister with grace since she did deserve them. She watched her sister walk off to a stall and she sighed. "I'm sorry if she gave you any grief over me leaving. I had someone to talk too..." She said her cheeks still pink. She remembered the man's smile and it made her chest throb oddly. She only every got excited over pretty new flowers and people who were unnaturally pretty. She hoped that Lysandra hadn't suffered for her absence however knowing her sister got overwhelming often enough. CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GANGNAM STYLE

The bit of talking to herself, almost as if she was thinking aloud was interesting to Darius, even if the reason for her thinking was over him. He had to say, it was a nice thing to be told you were on a pretty woman's mind. But he knew it was because he was being vague and not because of much else. She was curious why he would mention something of her father. A lowly dock worker wouldn't know such things or care. So, he wouldn't give her a response. He took her curiosity with a smile, a flash of teeth that was almost humored as if he was tempting her to ask more, to get more curious and stay a little longer. She wouldn't stay, she had people that would miss her that she needed to go back to. Not that he would be able to entertain her more. After all, he had left his work without reason. The other men would cover for him, but he needed to be back soon before he missed his pay. He didn't have time to really look at who she had found in the crowd, mostly since she followed it up with a thank you that was rather funny if not a bit worrisome on his part. His only real concern, however, was that she actually mentioned wishing to see him again. That shouldn't happen, for both of their good. He didn't say it however, mostly because he caught sight of how Anemone's cheeks turned a rosy color as she briskly walked away. It surprised him, but not because he wasn't aware he was attractive. More because she was actually interested in seeing him again, and that had made her blush? He didn't get women in their scope of thought, so he simply shook his head with a humored look before turning around to go back to the docks. But, on his way back he did spare a look back at Anemone, wondering a moment what was wrong with him to choose crappy work over a pretty woman that tried to strike a conversation with him.
Lysandra saw Anemone approaching and quickly hid her disappointment when Darius then turned and left. She caught her brother glancing back however, as if watching Anemone return to her group. She left that up to his worrying over her being safe. Darius always had a tendency to over worry. She was surprised when Amrena got mad with her sister but stayed out of it since it was between the two. She however gave Anemone a soft smile and a shake of her head when she apologized. "It's quite alright. Your sister has excellent taste in wares..." She said before the curiousity of what had happened for Anemone to run into her brother of all people. "Who was that man you were talking to?" She asked, the question innocent and expected of the situation so she didn't feel nervous asking.

When asked who the man was her cheeks went a bit pink again in thought of his pretty face, smooth voice, pretty words...He couldn't have just been a lowly dock worker- he had to be something more. She covered up the small smile that fell over her lips as she thought of what to say. It wasn't like the girl would care who it was much less know him probably. So she decided to trust this and just tell her. "He said his name was Daruis. I had gone tot he docks in order to apologize to him and another boy for our carriage almost hitting them this morning. I got angry over a man hitting some one and he saved me from myself really, even walked me back here..." She told Lysandra in an even enough tone hoping the girl wouldn't notice her blush. Amrena soon came back over and nudged her sister's arm lightly in a way to tell her she had calmed down a bit. She moved her smiled to Lysandra however. "Did you want to buy that pretty scarf? We can get it?!" We said sounding almost excited now as if her sister hadn't gone missing at all. CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GANGNAM STYLE

Lysandra wasn't sure how to interpret the color in Anemone's cheeks. She knew women liked her brother. He was an agreeable man, kind and polite, but they never saw him behind closed doors. She remembered women talking to her only to ask about her brother when he was still a part of the family. Most times or not, he paid them no more mind than he had to. He always told Lysandra that he didn't like the way men had trained their daughters to be fickle and twittery, that the women of court bored him. She never knew if he ever pursued these boring women, but she could assume he wasn't a stranger to them. To have Anemone be blushing at mere mention of her brother after just meeting him, it made Lysandra curious as to what exactly happened and a bit put off. The story was surprising, but it made her slight unease fizzle out. Seems she didn't know Darius was her brother, or that he was more than just a dock worker. The story of her apologizing to him and that he helped her made Lysandra smile, since she was glad Darius seemed to be keeping up with his manners, even when he was no doubt exhausted day to day. She was about to ask more but Amrena returned and spoke of the scarf. Lysandra blinked and looked a little embarrassed that she had been caught admiring it. "It was a pretty scarf...but I can't ask you to do that." She said with a small glance towards the stall that she quickly made herself look away from. It was obvious she wanted it, but wouldn't ask. She had her mother' pride to uphold after all.
