They bought the scarf, Amrena not having taken no for an answer. They went back to the Terebourne's estate for lunch as she invited Lysandra back however Amrena was called off by their mother to speak about the necklace and such as she was excited about it, leaving Lysandra and Anemone alone on the ground floor out in the back garden, resting on a blanket food spread out in front of them in a picnic style. Anemone had noticed her look in the market and it was different for some reason so she was curious to ask however she was having an issue thinking of how to bring it up after her sister interrupted their conversation at the market. She half hoped Lysandra would bring it up but she had little hope in that since she was jsut as quiet as herself. With a light sigh she took a sip of her tea, her mind wandering back to the man she had met at the docks. He was too pretty to be there- that much was obvious, he dress poorly and was dirty however he held a bit more elegance then the men there. She was used to seeing men like that and he must have been a fallen house or something but she didn't know so she pushed the thoughts back to her closed off part of her mind since she hated assuming about others. Looking over the flowers by them she smiled lightly and plucked one, a pretty red one and handed it to Lysandra," Here, this is a flower. Its in thanks for you coming out to market with us. I do hope you appreciate the scarf, it does suit you well." She said with a smile. She had handed Lysandra a red orchid, it was a simply flower, layers of red leaves around a bulb of bright yellow, it was pretty with little intricate grooves, she often admired it for being a very protective flower- like Lysandra as she liked to keep her pride about her to protect her. She thought of the red because it was a prideful color well matching for the soft spoken girl.

Lysandra was thankful that they bought the scarf though she was silently grateful. She didn't like to make a big deal of small things, mostly because she much more calm than the rest of her family. She sat patiently at lunch, letting the conversation flow mostly from Amrena and her sister. She was content to just enjoy the sunshine and the beauty of the garden. Whoever tended it really had a gift for nature. The flowers looked so healthy, they shrubs and grass such pretty greens. Even the leaves on a few trees looked more vibrant than she had seen them in other places. IT was relaxin to say the least. When Amrena left Lysandra and Anemone alone, Lysandra drank some of the water she had requested earlier to give herself time to think on what to say. Anemone took up that mantle and actually thanked her with a pretty flower. It was quirky but Lysandra was actually in awe of the pretty red flower, her favorite color. She liked the way the petals felt soft on her finger tip as she skimmedthe bud curiously. Se never really spent a lot of time with flowers. They seemed to be important to Anemone and her family. When told she should like the scarf, Lysandra looked up with a small smile. "Yes, I love it. I used to love to sew things like that all the time..." She said then gave the pretty little flower a thoughtful look. "I should be thanking you and your sister. You've been very kind to me and my family." She said, though she was sure Anemone would only think of her mother as family, not her brother who she had run off just to apologize to. She had a kind heart. That was key to why she enjoyed the sisters company. "Also I love this flower. What is it?" She asked with a curious look at Anemone.

Anemone was glad the girl decided to speak as well, it was a hard push for her to speak after all since both were quiet and not out spoken. When she was thanked for being kind to her family she imply smiled. "You have been kind to me so I am kind in return. That is what our father told us when we were younger...As for the flower its a red Orchid. Isn't it pretty? The colors are so vibrant it also tells the other flowers that its being brave in its new and bold color- as you can see-I don't have many more red flowers..." She said with a light smile loving to speak about flowers, her tone and face getting soft and familiar as if she were speaking of old and dear friends. -------------
Amrena sighed when her mother told her about the huge summer festival that was coming. "So the festival is in two days- you and your sister are to attend and you need a date each. You need to have your sister bring an acceptable date, not going by herself- that would disgrace the family. Now go break it to your sister- and remind her its a masked festival." She said as he ushered her daughter out of the room and back out into the hall. She sighed hoping her younger daughter could help her helpless older sister. She headed out into the garden and smiled at both of them as they had apparently started speaking about flowers. Lysandra had a red flower and Anemone had a look on her face like she was speaking to the flowers again. "Alright, I'm glad you too get along with the flowers, however I have better news! The summers' festival is coming here in two days! Its a masked ball, I'm so excited." She said taking between the two as she spoke. She plucked a grape from the bowl and nibbled it and smiled glancing over her sister, watching her expression. A masked ball? That could be fun- she could weave a flower mask and make it pleasant to see and smell as well-her mind suddenly jumped to if Darius would be attending it or not. He didn't seem like a normal person so she some how hoped he would. "That does sound like fun. Would you be also attending Lysandra?" She asked her wondering if the girl was even interesting in such events much less knew about it.

Lysandra saw Anemone light up at mention of the flower, which lead her to believe perhaps this girl was the one that cared for this garden. It seemed to personal for her not to. She awed at the little flower, loving the color and even the little description she gave. It was something interesting for Lysandra to think about. A red flower so beautifully put together...She blinked when Amrena returned and she gave her a shy smile of greeting. The new however made Lysandra bat her eyes in surprise. The summer festival, right, the one to celebrate life and Dionysus, the god of fun and party. It was a great time, the streets filled with people from all classes and the city decorated in the town square in front of the emperor's palace for a ball for the rich and powerful. She remembered going with her parents when she was younger, Darius taking a woman that father was trying to arrange a marriage with. She was too young to take a man at the time and so she simply hid by her mother's side. Seems this year, the masks would be used. She was excited, but she felt a small flutter of her stomach. Would mother make her court some man this time? She bit her lip in thought and nodded slightly at Anemone's question. "Yes, I actually love balls. The city is also very beautiful during the festival." She said as she thought back on the pretty lanterns and streamers, and the dresses worn to the masquerade. This would be a fun time, even if it would be stressful to plan for.

Amrena liked the response she got out of her friend but her sisters was a bit dull. Her sister was thinking but about what she wasn't exactly sure, she hoped she would talk on it but it wasn't likely. Anemone nodded finally and smiled lightly,"I think we should color coordinate out dresses so we can fine each other and I can make flower masks! They will be beautiful! Don't you think?" She said making it sound like she was more excited about dressing up then actually going. Her sister smiled lightly before getting a bit fo a mischiveous smirk on her lips," Mother also said you needed a date." That made Anemone frown a bit since she wasn't very big on dating men. "Should I invite some one for you?" She asked with a teasing smile, only to get a frown from her sister," i can invite my own date. You have terrible taste in men." She said with a justified smirk.

Lysandra hadn't expected Anemone to bring up them all matching in colors but it was a good idea. She would like the flower mask too, especially if it was made of such pretty flowers that she could see around her here. But of course Amrena mentioned Anemone would need to find a date, Lysandra felt the pang hit her stomach of unease. She was surprised her mother hadn't said anything to her about all this. Maybe she wasn't going to hold her to the same standard. She hoped that was the case, so she settled with a smile that said she was content with the idea posed before. "That shouldn't be all that hard. There must be men out the doors for you two around this city." She said, since already she had had men speaking with her mother in the absence of her father to ask about setting up meetings with Lysandra. Thankfully her mother hadn't forced her into any of it, but she was sure soon there would come a time for her to try. She was sure the girls had similar issues. "And I love the idea for the masks and colors. What color are you two thinking?" She sai to divert the conversation since it seemed Anemone didn't care too much for the idea of a date.

"I want green!" Amrena announced with a happy smile since it was her favorite color was such. Anemone however smiled lightly at her sister and then at Lysandra," I would want a blue, like my favorite flower- would you like red? I can make you a mask with red ones..." She asked her wondering if that would get her to agree to come along for sure. Her mind was on about who she would ask however she was sure her mother would throw her with some one- regardless of whom she really wanted to go with. However she was confident she could shrug them off on some trashed drunk slut and leave them alone for the night for all she cared. She was wondering if Darius would attend the ball- it was for all classes and such so she was curious to see if he was social enough for it. She turned her attention back tot eh two in front of her however when her sister asked her what kind of flowers could be used for green. "I can use Ivy's and some holly bush. It will be pretty with some accent colors." She added to make her feel a little better about her chosen color. ------------------ Not long after lunch Lysandra went home and their mother continued to tell them how a lady would act at a party. the next day consisted of them finding dresses and such as well as setting up a few interviews with suitors for this event much to both the girls annoyances. Their mother made them sit in the room and be eye candy while she interviewed them and took little notes. By the end of it Lysandra had a boy her own age from a noble family down the way, and Anemone had a man who was very self centered and full of himself. He talked a lot about himself and his 'great' family and she was almost disgusted- but her mother thought he was perfect. She hated men like that- now she was praying that Darius would be there so she could have an actual conversation. The next morning she got up and picked the flowers fresh to make the masks with before soaking them in water to make sure they were prefect. She made a pretty blue, green and red one- each with its own design. Her sister was being picked up by her date but she felt she needed to drop off the mask herself to avoid her date honestly and skipped out saying she would meet them there. Passing the docks her eyes were searching for the two she knew but didn't find them, she didn't know how that made her feel. Once at Lysandra's house she knocked and waited a few moments till some one answered the door.

Lysandra looked excited when told that they could do their favorite colors and she nodded when Anemone said she could have red. She was completely glad that she decided to make friends with these girls, especially since now she wouldn't be alone at this event. Time flew by as they talked over plans for the party and soon Lysandra was sent home. She took a carriage back and arrived before dark much to her relief. She entered in through the front door, letting a servant take her new scarf to hang it. Her good mood was evident, since even the staff smiled at seeing her happy. The poor girl needed something to smile about, especially before she had to face the surprise her mother had for her waiting in the sitting room. Lysandra went to find her mother in her usual spot in the parlor but stopped at the door when she heard a voice besides her mothers. She batted her eyes at the voice that sounded male. Was mother seeing someone? She walked in hesitantly, her eyes on the floor as to not be rude and stare. Her mother stopped talking and she heard shuffling of people moving. "My dear Lysandra, back from your outing." Her mother asked and Lysandra raised her head to look at her mother. She caught sight of an older gentlemen there while sitting next to him was a young man with dark curls and such brilliant blue eyes. He was pretty in the face, like a cherubim, but it was too cute more childlike than man like. She tensed when the man looked at her as she approached, his eyes though averted when she came to her mother's side. "Yes mother...I didn't know we had guests..." She said softly, watching her mother's lips pull into a smile. "Why yes my dear. This is an old friend of your father's and this is his son, Elias." The young baby faced man rose, a shy look on his face as he bowed, curly dark hair falling a bit into his face. The young man was almost pretty, but his nervous energy made Lysandra uncomfortable. She gave him a gracious smile as he rose and invited her to go for a walk with him. ~~~~ "You know Darius, I always worried you weren't into females, what with you living with a whole house of them and not touching any of them. But apparently it's just that you have high profile tastes." A sailor joked, nudging Darius who sat next to him. Darius rolled his eyes, his nose wrinkling in irritation. After returning from helpin Anemone, he was chastised and goaded for showing the least bit of chivalry. They said he did it for the thought of affections, that the woman was pretty and he just wanted some tail, never did they assume he just did it to be nice. Darius grimaced at the jokes that passed between the men, giving a heavy huff as they began to talk over the woman actually standing up for a kid under the foreman. "She was just a rich man's daughter with a hot head for violence. It's nothing big guys." Darius said and the sailor gave a smirk. "Just how hot, Darius? I saw the way you were watching over her." Darius gave him a short look of irritation that almost escalated if Ysold hadn't sudden come in. She plopped herself down in Darius's lap, since all the chairs were filled. Not that Darius minded, Ysold was a good friend to him. "Hey Darius, I heard about what happened. Good job on protecting the rich girl. I can't believe she actually got in the way of Anack. The man is violent..." She said, almos like she wished to spit on the name. Darius gave Ysold a slight smile though irritation was still in his eyes. "She was a spit fire. I thought Anack's bald head would catch on fire." One man chuckled and Ysold giggled. However she noticed Darius's irritation and gave his cheek a pinch. "What's up? You should be excited. A festival is coming up in a few days and I'm taking you with me." She teased, making Darius look at her with a raised brow look. He was not goin to some festival, if anything he would use the day off to sleep. "I don't think so Ysold." He said which drew a Pout from her. He was always such a busy body but he couldn't spare time for fun. ~~ The walk pertained the next day with her mother and Elias's father in attendance, the pair walking in the markets she had only been to the other day. They spoke very little, since Elias seemed just as awkward and she was. She tried to be nice and pass him smiles, but he never returned them. He was always looking elsewhere, never at her. She gave a small sigh and went over to a vendor selling masks for the festival. She looked over the mix of them, just thinkin hat she would have to go with this Elias boy who paid her no real mind...If only Darius was there. He could keep her company, make sure she was well cared for and entertained. But he probably wouldn't go not with his work schedule...She was about to walk away, but she saw one male's mask that for some reason made her pause. An idea struck her and before Elias could question it, she pulled out her purse of coin and paid for it. He tried to say something but already she had the man wrap it and hand it to her. She went to the edge of the street where two orphan boys played. They were dirty in appearance but she hardly cared for that at the moment. "Take this to a Darius...He's a dock worker with blonde hair and brown eyes. Do you know of him?" One boy that looked like he recently had received a brutal beating stepped forward and nodded. She handed him the parcel and paid the boy, who ran off into the crowd faster than she could begin to call after him. Later that day she returned home to find that Elias had to go, which was fine by her. Her mothr yacked about how amazing he was and that Lysandra should be conscious of him...But Lysandra ignored her and opted to go with the maid to answer the door when there was knock. She was surprised and relieved to find Anemone and mot another man. "Hello Anemone, What brings you here today?" She asked with a pleasant smile.

Anemone smiled at Lysandra and offered her the mask. "Here you are. I wanted to deliver it in person. The ribbons are to string in your hair to match the flowers. I wanted to make sure they matched well." She said with a smile hoping she liked it. She had worked hard on it just for her and she hoped it was what she wanted it to be. Glancing own she saw that the large orchid had decided to flare its' petals today so it was a brilliant and large flower she used as a side piece to match her dress. Smaller red flowers adorned the mask- It only covered her eyes and part of her face- leaving her mouth and part of her forehead exposed but it would be covered with flower petals. "My sister is still getting ready, I should get back to prepare as well. I was hoping we could meet up near the market- by the docks?" She asked it was her own selfish idea but she wanted to see if the man would be working threw the festival however she had already heard that the port was closed for celebration that night. --------- Heading back home she was ushered back to her room to get ready as her mother was taking this even seriously. She was bathed in scented water with flowers from her own garden as she liked. Her sister had the same treatment, however her sister didn't have half as many issues as Anemone did. She had been strapped into her dress- the tight under dress was practically a second skin on her and she hated it, but she had to admit it was pretty. The flowly over piece was semi fitted but when she stepped it flowed about her and she twirled a bit in it finding the inside dress comfortable after all, it just needed to be gotten used to. The bottom layer was a thick and rich blue color, the top a shimmering white- and her mask was made of little blue flowers, she also had the maid put them in her hair. Her lips were painted a deep red similar to her sisters as they were made to look older a little bit however she knew her little sister was loving it. Amrena was in a semi fit dress with a few pleats that spun out with more deep colors at the bottom. It was sleeveless however she wore a gossamer over coat that covered her wrists and clasped about her neck to keep her covered but enough to keep her cool. Her mask was pretty as it was woven ivy with little reds in it from the berries on the holly that she had found. Her sister loved it since she had put velvet on the back of the mask to keep the ivy from scratching her pretty little face. ---------- They soon arrived at the meeting lace agreed upon and she couldn't help the smile nor the flutter in her chest as waited for Lysandra- her sister having went ahead with her own date, Amrena understanding why she wouldn't want to rush ahead to meet her own date. The man was a bad match up so she made every excuse for her sister. She looked at a few shops and was complimented on her masks craftsmanship and beauty. She thanked them and looked about a bit more hoping to run into the man she wnated to see- but she was also waiting for Lysandra so she stayed close to where where were going to meet.

Darius stared into the box, looking at the mask sitting face up amongst the paper. It was obviously an expensive piece, that much he was sure by the makes mark engraved on the inside. That meant only one person could have bought this for him. He had at first thought the kid was up to something since he had been paid to bring this to him. Ysold wouldn't have paid someone else to do it, she would have just handed it to him and said he was going. So that left the only other woman that could have gone out of her way to buy this. "Lysy." He huffed, sinking in his chair a little further. He pinched the bridge of his nose as the slight irritation formed. After seeing the mask, he was reminded of his feelings prior years, how he wanted to go and have a good time. But that meant facing people that abandoned him and his family the moment things went south. That meant seeing old friends that once claimed to be such, but never spoke to him after his coming of age mishap. That meant him being a part of the old life he used to lead...the old life he missed terribly. Who wouldn't miss luxury next to this destitution? Lysandra was just being nice, he knew that, but it didn't make the sting of anger any less for him. "You should go." Ysold said, her red curls held high in a bun away from her neck to afford a full view of her dipped bodice line. She was in a deep rich colored green dress. It was a gift from one of her customers no doubt. Darius spared Ysold a look that showed his lack of humor before shaking his head. "No, it's too much. And I can't indulge Lysandra at a time like this. She needs to be meeting suitors, not worrying over wether I'm attending silly parties." He said, his voice though held a bit of his frustration at his inner conflict. He wanted to go, but he knew that if he did he wouldn't be happy. Ysold came around, kneeling at his chair side with a look that could have melted any mans heart. She placed a hand on his and frowned. "You need a day to yourself Darius. It is okay to have fun. Stop punishing yourself." She said, bright green eyes tracing his features. Darius tensed, eyes narrowing at Ysold. She would have thought he was furious with her, but had learned early on that he respected her honesty. It was the only reason perhaps they were friends. He was quiet a moment before he looked away, his eyes observing some of the other women working to get themselves ready for a night they made their most profit. He knew she was right...why was this woman always right? "I don't have anything to wear." He said. Ysold smiled and gave a small shrug. "Don't worry over it. My clients leave clothing often. It's all clean and I'm sure we can dig something up." She said, taking his hand and guiding him to her room so they could get him ready before they had to go. ~~~~ Lysandra sat patiently in her carriage, wondering if Darius really would come to the party. She hoped he would, but knowing him, he just might not. He refused the last year, but then again that was a different time and he was a different man then. She stepped out with her mother, her mother going ahead to the event while Lysandra gave her the excuse she wished to go meet with Anemone who was waiting around nearby. She left to go meet her by the docks, narrowly avoiding a man in fine dress walking with a woman that was scantily clad. She apologized and hurried along to find Anemone. ~~~ Darius walked with ysold, loving the fact he felt clean and put together at the moment. He liked that they found simplistic but rich clothes for him to wear, that Ysold was better at coordinating them then he was and that she was able to help him look semi like his old self again. The only thing left was to buy her mask, which between the both of them they could afford. They went to one vendor and started looking some over. Ysold held one with so much glitter Darius had to squint against the glare from the lantern light. She rolled her eyes and then dug through the rest. She found one that had a cat like face, pulling off Darius's mask to make him try it on. He held it up to his face and made a funny face, drawing a laugh out of Ysold. "I like this one." She said, holding a feathery mask up to her face that had the patterns of a peacock's feathers. Darius nodded, placing the cat maks down to help Ysold tie her's.

She was looking at a few other masks when a couple came up, the woman was beautiful and she smiled at her lightly. She was looking for a mask it seemed, She stepped back when she selected the glittery of the masks and decided it was about time to fine Lysandra, however her eyes caught the action of the woman taking off the man's mask. Her eyes were wide but most of her face was hidden by her mask. Her surprise fell into a nervous bundle in her stomach, she should have assumed he would have had a date. Such a pretty man must have been married already. She smiled lightly as she passed, her head down she headed towards the edge to the market and found Lysandra there, easily with the mask she had made. The red was a very stunning color on the girl, she was glad she chose the flowers well. Her heart wasn't completely into this event now that she had no hope of being swept up in conversation with that mysterious man- he had his own little date and was currently wrapped up in her. She did note his mask- and how pretty it was- the musical aspect to it suited him in her opinion. She cast her mind back to her current issue at hand, "Hey Lysandra! You look beautiful! I hope you like your mask?" She asked her wondering if she hadn't scared the girl from suddenly calling out to her from the crowd. Her mood was a bit deflated from this afternoon but she hoped the girl wouldn't comment, if she did she would simply describe her date her mother selected for her.

Lysandra was looking for her brother when Anemone found her, though she gave an equally relieved smile when the woman called out to her. She didn't like being alone in such a crowded place and to have a familiar face near her was a blessing. She looked down at her gown sheepishly at Anemone's compliment, mostly because she was thinking the same about Anemone. She really was beautiful, a sort of reserved beauty that didn't come from showing off her body. It was a good thing, something that made Lysandra comfortable around her, not like it was some competition for attention. She then touched the mask Anemone made with a bright smile, her eyes snapping up to look at her. "I love it myself. Mother let me go shopping for it yesterday. It matches beautifully with this mask you made. Thank you so much." She said before gesturing to Anemone. "And you look amazing. Your date is a lucky man, that is if you don't catch the attention of everyone else here tonight." She said before her eyes lit on the beautiful decorations and flowers lining the streets. Sun down was approaching and that was when the party would really begin. "Look at all this...It never seemd this beautiful when I was too young to enjoy it." She told Anemone, since it was a funny thought for her that now she was drawn in by all the things she once didn't care for. ~~~~ Ysold picked a mask finally and dragged Darius up the long cobbled hill to where the festivities were starting. He indulged her pulling, ignoring the stares he got from people for being with a woman in such tight revealing clothing. She was obviously a woman of a specific occupation but a well paid one. Courtesans were well known and accepted, but it was to only the degree of behind closed doors. It was not the woman's profession exactly that the people had a problem with, it was that Darius who looked like a noble was so openly escorting her. He didn't see anything wrong with it, since he didn't have anything dirty or sexual in mind with this. Ysold was a woman just trying to survive with a child that a nobleman left her with when she was a young woman. She loved her child enough to work hard for her girl, she deserved a night off. Thinking she was being sly, she grabbed a cup of wine from a tray a man was getting ready to prepare for serving and she took a heavy drink from it. "Oooh the good stuff. Try some." She tipped it to him and Darius gave it a try but coughed slightly at how strong it was. Ysold stuck her tongue out at him in kittenish fashion before she motioned to the crowd ahead of her. "This Darius, will be my fortune. Stealing husbands and young men from their potential matches. Isn't summer carnival great?" She joked and he gave her from behind hug, bending to rest his head on her shoulder. "You know you could take a break. Keep me company. I could spot you this month..." She gave his cheek a hard pat, her face a prideful look of defiance. "Honey words will get you no where with me, babe. I want you to go enjoy yourself, bring back a pretty young girl. I want grandchildren before I turn into an old bat." She scolded sarcastically, drawing a grin from Darius. SHe like to joke like she was a motherly figure in his life, but in all honesty she was. She was a positive female influence in his life and he was much appreciative of it. "Alright, but if anyone raises a hand to you, call me and I'll be there, got it?" He said and she gave a roll of her eyes, but the smile showed she appreciated the sentiment. She walked off with a swish of her hips, going into the crowd and leaving Darius to fend for himself in the sea of masked strangers.

She smiled at the girl, glad to hear her praise her hard work. She nodded and they started walking off along the stone streets towards the destination, the temple on the hill. It was slight up with hundreds of lights, pretty decorations and so many masked dancers. Wine and food were served about by servants, the large trays circling about the crowd- people simply taking things off as they wished. Once there she easily found her sister and two men, both of them were quiet for a change as the taller man talked. Her poor sister has been suffering as she would all night- the martyr. She thought to herself before walking with Lysandra to the group and her sister look all to grateful to see them... ----------------------------------- "So when I first met the man, I never thought anything special about him, he seemed a bit lacking in many areas unlike myself who is quite talented. But I gave the boy a chance and now hes a good fetch boy- needs improvement on things as usual but I will break it from him eventually since i am such a great teacher after all...Oh hello- Might you be Lady Anemone?" He asked suddenly looked at her, his eyes racking her body first the tight fitting dress and the cover over it, he probably rather ed something skimpy. Anemone nodded, but she didn't smile. The man took her hand and kissed it, before looking at her from his light bow, " I am descendant of Poseidon, God of the seas- Emrphan...You can call me Em for short since your so beautiful...As well as your friend." He said as his eyes wandered it seemed. He let go of her hand and she gave a hesitant smile. "Yes. Pleasure to meet you Emrphan. Yes I am Anemone, I see you have met my sister and her date Sir Contiitia." She said asking to divert his attention from poor Lysandra. She turned her head to Lysanrdra and smiled a apologetic smile before nodding a small good bye and she took Emrphan's arm and drug him off away from her poor sister. He seemed to not care much as long as he had a pretty girl on his arm. "Yes- I have met them, very quite. Your mother did never tell me how pretty you were, come take off your mask let me see your face." he tried to persuade her but she pushed away from him and smiled lightly making it seem like she was playing. "I'm afraid not- party rules state that masks stay one." The man smiled back at her and his next words were too playful for her but she ignored them and grabbed herself a drink knowing she was going to need it. "Poseidon is also the god of earth quakes my pretty little pet- I could show you a real party should you desire such- all you do is ask it of me..."He said his lips too close to her ear and she closed it out and stepped away another step, putting the now empty cup back on the try and took another one, just in case. He took his own glass and began speaking gloatingly about himself as they went about to look at things in the temple and such, She did her best to redirect him when possible to stay in crowded areas since she didn't trust him to not try anything. She knew she wasn't strong enough to get away from him so she took this as her punishment from the gods for misbehaving and running off from her sister. They were looking at a statue of a god, his body carved in a light that made him seem strong and war like, the man who had her on his arm- forcibly- was talking about sizes of things she didn't care to know of. Her cheeks were burning pink and she made little side comments about heading to another place. He simply shook his head ," I don't feel like it. Now no one will see you take off your mask... Now take it off." He said in a stark tone. His words were demanding and strict. His words echoed off the stone walls and she was afraid a bit, but she didn't move. He stood there in silence for a second before he spoke again, sounding a little angry now. "Did you not hear me girl? I said take off your mask- Your mother said you were compliant. Now do it Or I'll do it for you." He said in a meanly teasing tone at the end. He wasn't joking and she was scared. She reached up very slowly but stopped when she heard foot falls near the door way. She was hoping they would come in because they heard his cruel words but she knew better with society. However she stopped and looked up feeling a flood of resilience suddenly. "No, I am not compliant. If you want some one to bend to your will, I would suggest you try another girl of a lower status. We upper class nobles know how to make some one disappear with out lifting a finger." She said her tone was polite, shaking slightly but she was firm enough to get her point across. She was of higher status- well her family was then him so she wasn't afraid to tell him no. He rose a brow at her and smiled," Oh I do like a challenge- perhaps I could beat it out of you?" He said his voice a bit louder in his simmering anger that hew as doing well to keep it under wraps. ---------------------- Amrena sighed when the man left and touched her dates arm and he smiled lightly at her, both obviously glad the man was gone. "About time that chump left. I can't believe mother would match them up. OH you look so pretty!" She said with a girly tone as she looked her friend over. She was changing the subject, however once Lysandra's date arrived She convinced her's to go dancing. The dancing was to spirattic she loved it, lots of spinning and jumping, singing and shouting. She loved parties and the drinking thought she wasn't allowed to drink much she still enjoyed what she did take sips of.

Lysandra kept her eyes on the ground as they approached the others, however she graced the man talking boastfully with a brief glance. He seemed like most men she had dealt with, boastful, no doubt proud. She didn't like the way he leered at her friend, let alone her...She wanted to hide behind Anemone that seemed to be taking this better. But poor Anemone let herself be dragged off and when Amrena spoke, it drew a worried glance from Lysandra. "Yes...He didn't see very nice." She muttered, before she was swept up in talk with Amrena and compliments over dresses. However, when Elias arrived, Amrena left to go dancing and left her alone with the quiet man. Lysandra huffed slightly to herself but put on a sweet smile for the boy. "Would you like some wine?" She asked quietly and Elias shook his head. "I don't drink." His response made Lysandra bat her eyes. It wasn't everyday you heard that... "What about a dance--?" "I don't dance." Lysandra frowned at Elias, eyes narrowing. "Then what, may I ask, do you do?" Elias wasn't expecting the forceful question and flinched a little in surprise. He seemed to process for a moment before he gave Lysandra an apologetic smile. "I like music...would you like to go see the band?" He offered her his hand and Lysandra, now prideful with her progress, took the offered hand and walked with him to see what music was being played. ~~~~ Darius was starting to feel uncomfortable with just how oblivious people could be. In all honesty, just because he looked like a noble, women actually began speaking to him, men of status pulled him into groups, and educated families treated him as though he were someone of importance. It baffled him so, he almost didn't realize he was actually enjoying it. He liked being social, his usual self. It was sometin he didn't get often with only dock men and whores around to talk to. No intelligent conversations were to be had, the last one was with that woman at the docks...her name was Anemone right? He wondered if she was there tonight and gave himself a small kick mentally. Of course she was, probably there with some suitor or family member. She was probably enjoying her life, forgetting he existed or that whole incident at the docks. He was probably lucky if she even remembered what he looked like. Deciding to break away from the conversations of a young girl flirting a bit too heavily due to her drunken state, he took to the temple for a breather. Not to mention, it was always in good favor to honor the gods that supported this festival, especially your patron god. His was not within the temple, but he mostly came there for the silence and feeling of serenity. It was a place he could think... However that calm was broken by harsh words that made him pause momentarily. He heard a man speaking forcibly to a woman about taking off her mask. Things escalated when the woman told him no, the voice making him grimace. Why did the voice sound like one he had heard before? Regardless, his anger was peeked when the man started threatening the woman with violence. Darius moved forward, his sense of justice leading him right to the spot and dictating his actions at this point. He had a quick temper and seeing this woman trembling and looking scared of this man lit the spark that moved him. He effortlessly pulled the woman back, gently enough by the waist so as to not scare her or cause her harm. He moved her behind him with a small sweep of his arm and placed his mask in her hands. He was not bothering with the mask at this point. He wasn't afraid to look the sorry excuse for a man in the eyes as he told him exactly how he felt about his words. "You noisy for a small man. Though the dogs with the loudest bark were usually the runts." He said eyes set on the man with only a slightly restrained fury. Darius was on a count mentally, something Lysandra had coaxed him into doing. If by the count of 10 the problem didn't subside then by all means he could do as he really wanted. Talk was something he was good at in social settings. When angry, Darius was less about words and more about action. He would love to knock a few pretty teeth out for fun, but he couldn't let a lady be exposed to that kind of violence. Something about weak constitutions or rather... "Lay a hand on her." He said, voice cold and almost daring the man to try, "I promise I can hit you harder." His hands were squeezed into a tight fist, knuckles aching for an excuse to hit him. Hopefully he would take him seriously and back off. But usually the ones that were cowardly enough to yell and fuss at a woman away from others where she couldn't defend herself, usually had big mouths.

This man had the gall to interrupt him while he was talking to his date? He must have been of a lower caste, since he seemed to think he could simply swoop in and save the girl form her own stupidity. She was walking with him, agreed to go on a date with him. He was told he could take what he wanted as long as she didn't fight him. Emrphan took that deal quickly on the words that their daughter was beautiful, he however wanted to see her with out the insufferably frilly thing on her face. His eyes narrowed as he looked at the man who pulled away the girl and put himself in between them. Anemone's eyes were wide when she felt hands on her waste, being pull gently backwards like something she had felt before only with her arm on the docks. Her heart leaped a bit when a man stepped between her and her 'date', then man handed her his mask and it was more the obvious who he was. It was the man who had saved her before- at the docks- Darius. She couldn't help the feeling that she was safer with him, so she did something she never would have imagined herself doing. She stayed behind him, clutching his jacket in his little fists, to show her appreciation yet she couldn't get rid of her fear. Emrphan looked at the man before him with no mask and he smiled, taking off his own mask and smirked arrogantly at him. He was a well known noble in town, His father had his hands in a lot of peoples' pockets per say. "Oh? I'm sure you know me little man...Now let me see where have I seen your face before...You look familiar." He said trying to place him but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. Shrugging after a second he sighed," Oh well, Your not really worth my time- enjoy the ugly whore...I'm off to find some one of higher standards and beauty." He said in a very nonchalant way before leaving. He really had no care any more. It seemed the girl was ugly inside and out since she refused what a man had told her to do- there for she was unmarketable even for her families money. Anemone was quiet as the two talked however she felt her hands tighten on Darius's jacket when the man called her ugly, her eyes watering a little bit. She had never been called ugly in her life, it was a little hard for her to take but she knew the man was just angry. Her took a deep breath however because she knew she needed to thank him for stepping in and saving her again. She pulled her hands from his clothes and bowed lightly. "Thank you again for saving me from myself." She said hoping he would understand. It was obvious she didn't want to be near that man and she felt bad about this, him getting angry on her behalf thought was sweet. "Its twice now I owe you Darius." She commented as she stood straight and wrung her hands unsure in front of her now that she was out of the presence of that annoying jerk she felt better but now she felt nervous because the man she liked currently was in front of her, but she knew hew as off limits- his 'date' was else where it seemed but she wasn't rude enough to intrude. Her cheeks were pink but it was still slightly visible at the bottom of her mask, she couldn't help it but she wished things hadn't taken this turn but it was usually her luck that they did.
