They were wrapping up training exercises when a text tone slipped out over her phone, echoing dully in her armor. She looked surprised as did the vampire she had just bested in trail combat. Most didnt belive her when she said she could beat a low vampire in combat as a human but one had to see it to belive it. She had to be fully armored however to protect herself in the fight to be fair. She fumbled for her phone getting a lot of looks from the others, starting to whisper about what it could possibly be, but much to their suprise the stone girl blushed. Looking at the message it was from a number she didnt know but upon opening it it was Luca. Her heart beat skyrocketed and she looked at her phone in partial disbelief. 'He actually messaged me.' She thought several times before Mina came over and wrapped an arm around her shoulders to look at the message. Seeing the cute blonde with bed head made her smirk before giving her a toothy grin. "Send him a photo back! So he knows he got the right number girl!" She said more in a teasing manner but of course Fey took it as literal. She snapped a photo, even in her full armor she probably looked a little funny but this was her usual clothes, well at home it was anyhow. She added the message of 'good afternoon, my ears are still attached so no worries.' It was more a joke but she paused in deliberation if it was an understandable joke but when Mina read over her shoulder she snickered. "It sounds fine dear. He will laugh, not to mention he has a pretty girl messaging him." She stated before she snatched the phone and sent it. Fey panicked a moment since she coudlnt catch Mina in speed before she could even stop her from sending it. She seemed to be pouting a moment before she took her phone back and tucked it away before heading to change. She had down time coming up, and she intended to polish her sword, eat and maybe text Luca. She didnt need to be with Mina tighr now since she was a little miffed she sent that message. °~~~°~~~° Viatas frowned as it was so close to leaving Ada's presence but it dragged on it seemed today. He was to his limit of listening to his ranting. Stand up, Ada paused mid lecture and turned his golden eyes to him,the snake about his neck shifting a bit, eyes on him as well. He pursed his lips and swallow before speaking. "I have an engagement to attend here soon father, please forgive me but I must go and prepare." He stated formally and gave a bow. Ada rose a brow but nodded. He couldn't keep him from official business if he himself were busy. "Good, finally being useful today." He added before he dismissed Viatas. Rolling his eyes he left the room and was immediately joined by a guard who walked him back to his own room. He didnt hate the House just its head. He changed his clothes into something much more dressed down then the formal house robes, since he wasnt going to do actual House business, but see June. Heading out of the house, he slipped over the gate, past the guard, showing a pass at the outpost gate since it was far to large to scale. He had a ball cap on and was off quickly to catch a cab to a place close to where he was going to be. The back alley area was a little sketchy but he knew June could handle herself, he slipped into the more abandoned building that had once been a human noble house, now it was up for demolition since it was old. He took a place to rest in the old living space, and waited however as the sun started to set he watched it through the window to his left, not noticing June when she arrived. The only warning he had before she tackled him on the couch was a giggle. He turned a bit ans caught her about her middle a little clumsy but still a hold. She gave him a kiss and a wide smile, those giant green eyes beautiful looking almost hazel in the sunset. "Hey gorgeous! I've missed you!" He stated smoothly giving her another stronger kiss before pulling away with a smile that he only held for her. She giggled, her nervous energy building up as she looked him over. He seemed fine, not too thin, fed well and not overly tired. A hand took hold of his chin as she looked him over with a grin. "Do I still look the same?" He commented more as a joke getting a nod from June. "Handsome." She grinned before letting his face go and settling more comfortable in his lap, arms about her. They talked about a few things but it ended up with a sweet exchange of 'I love you's from the pair before the more serious conversation came into play. "Your sister is alive." He stated getting a wide eyed look from June. "How do you know this?" She asked sounding desperate for information. He kissed her forehead and pushed her head back to lay on his chest as he spoke more. "She is indentured to The House of White. Ada is convinced she can be used as leverage agaisnt me to make me submit." He stated with an honesty that almost burned. He felt her stiffen that her sister was leverage. "Does that mean they know May has been passing our letters?" She asked quietly. "I belive so. I am often followed, I sometimes dont pay as much care as I should." He stated feeling a bit of displeasure at that news. "I am glad they didnt find you. " he stated, pulling her a bit tighter to himself as he blocked out what would have happened to her, much less show he would have reacted if she had been in May's place, in the middle of dinner. They were quiet a moment before June sighed," will they kill her?" She asked wanting honesty, however Viatas was silent. "Well, when will she be killed then?" He was silent again. June turned in his arms to look at him and saw he looked to be in thought. She watched him a moment till his eyes seemed to focus on her. "I have a plan, I swear to you. I will not let her die." He stated boldly but there was an edge to it that seemed off. "Dont do something stupid now V. I know you think your clever but dont do something to get yourself killed. I need you." She said making her point only to get a smile in response. "I love you, and I am clever. Trust me my love. I always keep my promises." He said before glancing at his watch on his wrist seeing it was time to go. He gave her a strong kiss before getting up with her. She knew what that meant, it was almost human curfew... Getting back inside was easy since he was the House's heir. He did however change in his chambers into more house appropriate clothes, before slipping out his window and over the roof towards the barracks, finding Fey who was still awake oddly, looking at her phone. Eli sat across from Luca at the diner table, his purple eyes half lidded as he watched the werewolf looking at his phone with a strange energy. It had been about an hour ago that he texted him to meet up. Well their group. It seemed Alarik was being held up and said he would meet up later if he could. Eli had responded, when he normally would have ignored it. He didn’t want to be by himself again Incase another pain hit him and he was taking a break from magic till he could rectify the situation with the strange intruder that attacked him. Lilith has searched the house with no luck in finding anything. That meant it had to be a summoned creature or curse. But that would mean they would have to have something belonging to him and know his location. No one knew either of those things. That, he was certain. He pushed the thoughts down when he saw the werewolf perk up, a smile pulling at his lips when a text came through. Eli saw the excited look fade for something more surprised as he held the phone. He frowns at how quiet, Luca for once was being. “Who have you been texting and why do you look like that, mutt? It’s getting annoying.” Eli’s snippy comment made Luca snap out of it and he gave him a bright smile. “You know that chick you and Alarik were trying to flirt with. She’s texting me.” Eli balked at the news, surprised the woman didn’t take one listen to Luca and run the other way. He could talk your ear off and possibly eat your face if he transformed around you. Wolves only listened to Alpha’s or those that held some power over them with a token of affection. Eli had dealt with enough witch hunters using werewolves to track him to know it was a dangerous game. “She’s texting you? Well I’m curious what our quiet little lover wants from you that she couldn’t get from me.” He motioned for Luca to pass the phone and Luca gave him a hesitant look. “Well she sent a pic that’s a bit intense. Not in a bad way...it’s kinda hot.” Luca said as if dumbfounded by it. Now Eli really did need to see the picture. He muttered a cantrip and the phone popped out of Luca’s hand and to his. He looked at the picture there and blinked at the photo of the woman in full armor. While she was attractive, her intense look and armored regalia made her look like she could tear someone in half. He hardly expected that mouse to be a soldier, let alone an intimidating one. “Well well I suppose it is the quiet ones you have to watch out for.” Eli said, meaning that she was probably into some kinky shit when that armor came off but Luca didn’t get it. He blinked, looking confused by the statement. “I thought she was pretty chill. She’s funny too.” He smirked, liking her joke. Eli rolled his eyes, deciding not to comment for the poor naive hick. Luca quickly texted back, a smile on his lips. “Nice! That means you’d be down to talk more right? Nice pic by the way! Whatcha in armor for?” He asked before sending it off, refraining from I voting her out just yet since she seemed busy if in full armor. He knew vampires wore armor but he never understood it.

Fey looked at her phone and smiled when he responded. The Phone giving away her excitement, as she scrambled to pick it up off her bunk and read the message, a smile showing still. When asked what the armor was for she looked mildly suprised, she hadnt had anyone ask since everyone else she knew was already aware. 'I am a trainee to be the guard captain at ths House of White. I was in armor cause I was fighting a Vampire. That was the house color guard armor. And yes, I did win." She stated proudly since she as sure it wouod be impressive, since Mina told her to tell him things, impressive things to make herself more likeable or seemed, or so she said. She sighed as she sent the message with a smile before a knock came to her bunks bar. She looked over to see Viatas. He was smirking at her since she was watching her phone closely but she blushed and gave him a bow, standing quickly as per formality. "Geetings master Viatas." She stated smoothly getting a snicker from him. "Yeah yeah, who you texting?" He asked off handedly as he took a casual seat on the bunk by her. She was relaxed since it was her charge, well soon to be charge. They were supposed to be close so she could protect him better. "A boy." She stated getting a grin from the man,"oh? Finally branching out? Good for you!" He stated actually happy for her since he liked the quiet but serious girl.

Luca nearly choked on his waffle when she texted back that she fought a vampire. Why was she fighting A vampire as a human? They were quick and could sense weak points to make people bleed the most. The older ones had mind control abilities. He was impressed this seemingly quiet girl was actually secretly a badass. Eli on the other hand looked oddly at the message. “You’re not the least bit concerned that as a human she could take out a vampire? Let alone that she’s training to be a guard captain?” Eli asked Luca who had shown him the message. Luca gave a shrug, before shoving another bite of waffle into his mouth. “This isn’t a shrug, mutt. You either are concerned or aren’t.” Eli growled, making Luca swallow the large bite and shrug again much to Eli’s displeasure. “She seemed nice and doesn’t wear the armor all the time. I’ve taken down a vamp or two in my day. Why should I expect her to be different? Besides, you gotta admit it’s pretty badass.” He said honestly which made Eli’s lip twitch. “Luca, as badass as it may seem, this brings up the point that you two are quite different. You turn into an 8ft tall beast that was built to kill vampires. She is a human with a sword and armor taking on that same foe. Not to mention, why do you think she is needed as a guard? To protect her charges from...” Luca got what Eli was implying, that she was around to kill werewolves or vampires that threatened vampires but he wasn’t a threat. He didn’t like violence, only as a last resort. “You worry too much Eli. That’s why you should try optimism!” He said with a happy grin that made the warlock sneer. “I’d probably melt.” Luca laughed and quickly texted Fey back an emoji with Pom poms. “Damn you go girl! Then I better not piss you off huh? You could probably take me out. So what are you up to? Eli and I are having breakfast!” He said turning the camera to take a selfie, one of him grinning with a peace sign just to piss off Eli, who glared at the phone with his coffee in his hands, his mouth open as if he was mid telling Luca not to take the picture.

Fey was talking about the bar visit WITH mina when she had met this boy when the phone dinged with a reply.she quickly picked it up and opened the message a giggle however came to her lips at the picture. Luca looked so happy to be with his friend but the friend looked grouchy. She read the message on breakfast and nodded, more to herself but paused when asked what she was up too. She slowly looked over at Viatas who was looking over her polished sword that had been on her bed. He glanced at her after a moment when he noticed the look. "What?" He asked not an ounce of sarcasm, simple curiosity at her look. "He asked what I was up to." She stated almost in a confused way. Viatas smiled softly before sitting up and made a motion for her to pass the phone. She did so easily since they were friends, or so she felt. He glanced over the message, seeing the disgruntled additive the boy in question. Be smirked,"Hes seems nice, happy at the very least. That's good." He stated before he turned the phone and took a picture of himself and Fey,she however looked a little supsirsed that he took a picture. It was a simple photo, she was in a tank top but it didnt show anything innappriate so he didnt mind, her hair was down again, but slightly wet from a shower. He looked tired but that was usual for him. He added a message to the photo, so the poor boy woudnlt get the wrong idea. 'Visiting with my soon to be charge, he just got back from seeing his girlfriend.' The message said before he passed it to her for inspection before it was sent off. She looked it over and smiled at it, sending it. It was an honest explanation and she was about honesty. "So why a werewolf?" Viatas asked almost confused why she would pick some like that, when she was going to be a Vampire. She shrugged,"Hes nice, and up beat,he loved to talk, and asked if I wanted to go on an adventure with him and some others. Sounded fun." She stated like this were an explanation of a rule instead of a question. Viatas smirked at her, letting a small chuckle past his lips. "So you think hes cute and compliments your quiet tendencies well. Good. I'm a little suprised he is still talking to you even as identified as The House of White." He stated sounding a little unsure what that could mean. Maybe the boy didnt care or maybe he wanted something...he knew Fey could protect herself but still he worried for her.

Eli worries for Luca but mostly because he worried the wolf was making a huge mistake. Flirting and one night stands with bad choices was understandable. But texting and getting to know those bad choices only led to worse outcomes. And he didn’t want to see the wolf die. He was a moron but—dare he say it an endearingly stupid man without true evil in his soul, despite his nature as a beast. ”You’re going soft” Lilith hissed, almost sounding jealous. Perhaps he was... “Luca, listen. She’s pretty and all but wouldn’t messing around with a vampire end poorly? I mean she’s a part of a major house. Trust me, her friend has major money to spend. Major vampire clans don’t like wolves and she could get in a lot of trouble talking to you. As I said before, your father would kill Alarik. Do you think Fey would be treated any different?” Luca gave Eli a sterner look than he had ever seen on the werewolf, not that it was a comforting sight. “We’re just talking, Eli. I’m not dating her, I’m not sleeping with her, and I’m not about to mark her as a bond mate. It’s harmless. She wants to have a good time and I can show her one—not in that way.” He held up a finger when Eli went to make a sarcastic comment. “I don’t see what the big deal is. We may be friends or something else. I just met this chick.” He said and Eli gave him a huff. “You say that but I’ve seen your dating history. You end up falling for these girls you can’t have and it comes back to bit you in the ass.” Luca’s lips pursed as he thought back on the women he had dated. Mostly werewolves with a few odd human in there. The werewolves ended up wanting a commitment he couldn’t give them, were bothered by his dislike of his pack or when they found out his true lineage, or were using him for his connection to his father and the Alpha. The humans just didn’t get it or were scared off. Vampires were expressly forbidden and he had never considered them. He was lying if he said he didn’t have a problem with vampires. It was hard not to given the hostilities between wolves and vampires and also given his history with them. But this girl was like Alarik, maybe....she hadn’t given him a reason to hate her. Maybe that would change when she became a vampire...maybe it wouldn’t. But he was trying to be better and stay true to what his mother always told him... He gave Eli a softer look and tapped the table with his phone. “You’re probably right. But why live life in fear. I’ve got 200 years maybe left. Might as well make them count with some fun between right?” He said before blinking when she texted him back. He raised a brow at the photo of her and some boy that looked similar to her with red eyes, pale skin, and white hair. She wasn’t kidding when she said the House of White liked a certain type. The clarifying text that she was visiting with her future charge and that he had a girlfriend made Luca smirk. Seems she was trying to be clear they weren’t an item. Eli saw the smirk and motioned to the phone, even giving a smirk himself. “Well I think she’s interested if she’s worried about misunderstandings.” He said before shoving his phone back to Luca and gave a hum of thought. “Tell her she looks good, but she would look better spending time with you.” The comment made Luca’s face pale as he shook his head. “That’s too blunt Eli. She’s not like the girls you go after.” Eli gave a shrug since he knew that was right. He was more blunt because the women he liked were usually okay with no string attached fun. “I’ll try...’tell your friend—or charge— I said hi. Is that what you usually do in your time off from work?’.” He texted, reading it aloud before he sent it. Eli grumbled a quick “boring” before Luca gave him a frown and decided to be a little more forward. “I was going to ask if you wanted to grab a drink later but I remember you saying it was your curfew soon. Would you want to meet up for coffee tomorrow? You can invite your friend. I’m sure Alarik and Eli would be down to come too.’ He said since he didn’t want her thinking he was trying to make it a date if that wasn’t what she wanted.

Fey talked quietly with Viatas there in the Barracks till the returned message came. She looked it over with a smile, though it softened a bit near the end at the invitation. She handed the phone to the boy, knowing that was up to him more or less. He rose a brow at the invitation and the strange greeting but seemed okay with it over all. He passed the phone back to her and a smile, "Up to you. I dont mind you sneaking out, Ada wants me around so I think I will incorporate it into a business trip. So we can both not get into trouble perhaps." He rambled a bit but got his point across making Fey laugh at his cleverness to get out of the house. She nodded before taking a moment to think of a text to send back. 'Sounds good, V said he would like to come along as well. How about coffee and breakfast down on West Plaza, there is a coffee shop with good strong coffee?' She messaged showing it to Viatas first of course. He shook his head as he tried not to laugh. "Sounds fine. I'm just glad you made a friend. Life is dull with out some excitement no?" He asked getting a nod from Fey as she sent the text. Viatas soon went back inside and made a few phone calls, calling for a meeting with a few lower houses tomorrow after breakfast of course. He knew the main job in this was building bridges he could use against Ada perhaps, even get to know them better since currently he knew names and house mottos, not faces.

Eli wasn’t surprised the girl said she would go but the news her charge—perhaps already a vampire—was coming along made Eli wary. He didn’t like the idea of more people knowing about this little ‘friendship’ than necessary. The more people that had information, the more that it would spread. “Sounds awesome! When are we meeting up? I know vampires are nocturnal so I’m not sure when you’re allowed to leave your house.” He asked her since at the moment it was late in the afternoon and he was eating ‘breakfast’ with Eli. Alarik was already on a vampire’s schedule since his change was soon. He wasn’t sure how the human’s of this strict house operated. “You know Alarik and I are going right?” Eli’s assertive statement made Luca blink at the man. “I invited you. Why do you make it sound like a bad thing? She said they have strong coffee!” He grinned and Eli gave the man a narrow of his eyes. “Because you practically forced the issue by inviting another of her house into the mix. If he gets intolerable you need someone there to make him...rethink his decision.” He said as he was sure that Luca got Eli was there for protection in case this ended poorly. Luca shook his head with a firm frown. “No no, we’re not going to scare the kid. He looked okay and he wouldn’t agree to meet with us if it was a problem. Besides I’m sure Alarik knows them.” He said before shooting off a text to Alarik telling him about breakfast with the girl from the bar and her friend. ~~~~~~~~ Alarik sat poised on his bench, his fingers gliding along the keys of the piano. Musical pursuits were a must in Othello’s regiment of training, leaving him to pick up one of the elegant instruments at his disposal. He preferred the soothing sound of the piano to the screeching of a violin or treble of a cello. He was in the middle of a note when his phone lit up, showing him it was a text from Luca. He froze, looking at the phone as it vibrates on the piano’s surface near his father. His father picked the phone up, raising a brow at it. “Your friend wants you to meet them for breakfast. How quaint.” He said before handing his son his phone since he had stopped playing. Alarik took the phone with an awkward smile, nodding some to himself. “They are my best friends, father. I like spending time with them.” His softer words made Othello frown and look over his son’s sad expression. He knew the boy was struggling with the tensions between vampires and humans, but he wouldn’t punish the boy for it like Lord Everleigh would. Alarik was just being the good change Othello wanted to see in their world and he wouldn’t stifle that. “You know, I distinctly remember I had business to attend with Lord Everleigh tomorrow. You see a meeting was called by The House of White and it will be very important that you are there as my successor. Now, if you were to wander off—but still make it to the meeting—I don’t see why you couldn’t grab breakfast with your friends.” The news made Alarik’s eyes widen in surprise before he gave a quick nod. “O-of course father!” He said before Othello gave him a smirk. “Now enough of that. Start again from the top!”

When Fey got the reply she smiled before filling Luca on the information. 'V is a human as well. And how about 5pm? V has a vampire meeting early that evening.' She added since it was the truth. She knew these times were confusing but it was how things worked now a days. No changing that she reckoned. They texted a bit more before she had to say good night and head to bed since she had training tomorrow morning again, not to mention it was lights out in the barracks. ---- In the morning she was in a dressed down human issued House of White uniform. She was to wear it in public since she was to escort Viatas to a meeting next and had to play her part. A large sword on her hip, it almost looked her size but she could easily use it, not to mention she was permitted to carry in public for safety reasons. It wasn't armored but it was padded to be bite proof, and resistant to most things. She of course did her early training before she went to collect Viatas from.his chambers where he was being lectured by Ada, who enjoyed harassing the young man. "If you screw up your meetings, how can even think of being me later? Impossible yours a worthless piece of-" she heard through the door before she knocked. A pause then the door burst open, she did a quick maneuver back a few steps, and watched as Ada smiled at her. "Such a loyal bug. Come along fetch the useless one, make sure he dosent embareaa us all." He stated bluntly dismissing her all together. Entering the room she noticed Viatas was putying on the final jacket of his outfit. The sash a pretty blue, more symbolising his soon assent to the Head of House position. Ada wanted him dressed fully for his meetings so he was making sure to berate and nit pick before he left it seemed. She put her feet together sharply with a click and bowed half way over to him. "My lord, we are ready to depart." She stated very business like, since this was in front of the current house head, who was watching him like a hawk. He glanced at her, nor even trying to seem interested but stood, straightening his collar and bowed to Ada then strode from the room, obviously done listening to the ass of a man. Fey hesitated, but paused to bow to Ada before following after Viatas. Once out into the car he seemed to relax, but only a little. "Insufferable ass, I hate that man." He stated in confidence to the woman. She nodded,"Hes mean." She added simply making him chuckle. "Mean I can handle, this man is on a new level." He stated with a chuckle as he ran a hand through his hair to make it seem more casual, then brushed back. They arrived at the coffee house a bit early but that was alright. They had a reservation so they could all dine in private. Fey used her name so Luca could find it perhaps but she walked Viatas there and got his things, even tasted his coffee and food before he did. He was a little miffed she took a huge bite of his blueberry muffin but she giggled and went to wait for the others. Luca’s outfit: pin.it/6cbdfp446u6666Eli’s outfit: pin.it/arfhjciqsmqqjeAlarik’s outfit: pin.it/eu4ykmsbio5zcdAlarik nervously toyed with one of the chains on his outfit as Luca and Eli prattled beside him. Luca seemed genuinely excited to meet up with someone new. Not that Luca wasn’t ever not excited. He had just heard that he was meeting with two human’s from the house of White and it was important that he be up to standards seeing as he was to be head of household eventually. Also, he had to run to a meeting right after, hence why his father made him dress in the formal suit. He looked very starkly different next to his friends who were dressed down. He wanted to be like that but he knew his duties came first. He walked with them into the restaurant and Luca gave the staff Fey’s name. Eli was surprised when they were led off to a private area but Alarik expected it. They were dealing with a very reclusive house after all... When they made it into the back, Luca spotted Fey and gave her a bright smile. “Hey Fey! Glad you were able to sneak out to come hang out.” He said before looking to the man there in the formal dress. “Hi, names Luca. You must be V? Has a cool ring to it.” He said, offering the man his hand to shake. Alarik raised a brow at the man since he could tell that Fey was a guard by her outfit but this man must have been important based on his. But just who was he? Luca turned his attention to his friends and motioned to each of them. “This is Alarik.” He said pointing to the hesitant looking man in uniform who gave a quick bow of his head. “Alarik of House Everleigh. A pleasure.” His formality made Luca’s brow furrows since usually Alarik wasn’t this formal. He decided to move on and motioned to Eli. “And that’s Eli.” Eli have the two in the room an indifferent look. “No house. Just here for coffee.” Eli said, making Luca roll his eyes at how blunt he was. Luca brushed it off and gave Fey a curious once over. “Nice outfit. Seems I should have dressed up more.” He said since it seemed everyone but him and Eli were all dressed up.

Fey smiled when Luca came around the cornor with two others that looked familiar, even if one was dressed for a meeting. Opening the door for them all, they went into see Viatas sitting with a coffee in one hand and the news paper in the other, similar to an old man. He glanced up but put the laker down when he was pointed out as 'V'. He rose a brow but chuckled about it, only Fey called him V, well June did too but she wasn't in the conversation. Shaking his hand firmly he smiled,"Pleasure to get invited out to meet a friend of Fey's." He stated before glancing over at Alanrik but looked a little suprised to see him when he introduced himself. Viatas looked humored by Eli's lack of care for social rules but let it slide. "Viatas of The House of White, soon to be Head of Household. I'm sure you all already know Feyra- my personal guard. Order what ever you like, I'll pay for the pleasure of getting out of that stuffy manor and in casual company." He stated formal at first but by the end sounded like any 20 year old. He didnt care for closed door formalities. This was private and hw could be himself, just as he had explained to Fey. She grinned at Viatas and took a seat, by Luca. "Not necessarily, you see we have a meeting after this." She informed the werewolf taking a big sip of her hot cocoa. She preferred it at the moment since she needed some sugar to keep her going during a boring meeting. Viatas looked at Alarik and grinned after a few moments of thinking. "You know Alarik, if you want you can just come with me and Fey to the meeting? Might get you soem extra ground to stand on if you arrive with me." He plotted with a grin. He liked to have easy going people by him, not stuff ones who were stickers for rules. He was going tk one day break those rules anyhow so why follow them to being with?

Luca was glad the man was friendly since he hardly felt like sitting around with someone stuffy. He sat down in the chair nearest to him and was glad it was by Fey. Alarik, meanwhile gave Viatas a smile when he offered to pay for breakfast. “Thank you. I’m glad then that we got you out of that boring situation.” Alarik said with a truthful tone since he knew just how boring a vampire house could be with all the formality and responsibility. He sat by Eli, who was eyeing up Biatas as if assessing just what this boy was made of. He was young and yet there was an age to his spirit. He could see a dark spot there on his soul, one that festered with malicious intent. It was small which meant it wasn’t harbored at anyone in this room, but Lilith was keeping an eye out from her perch on a window pane just outside. Luca was surprised when she mentioned a meeting but mostly because he wondered if he had intruded on her time off before hand. She didn’t seem bothered by it so he assumed she sung mind spend time with him. His nose was hit by the smell of chocolate on her breath, a nice sweet smell that carried with her words. “Oh so you’re protecting Viatas at that meeting? Wow you vamps really can’t get along in a room together?” He asked, not meaning it in a rude way just genuinely shocked. Werewolves conducted business in a very different way. Murder or harm befalling any pack member at a meeting of packs was viewed as a disgrace and led to whole packs being punished. Luca has never even seen danger at any of these meetings and most wolves didn’t worry about it. “But Im sure he’ll be safe. I mean look at that sword. You can actually swing that thing?” He said in awe, finding it cool and more shocked people were still good at using swords. While Luca focused on Feyra, Alarik ordered a coffee and bagel from the woman taking their order and made sure to get coffee with espresso for Luca. Eli got his black coffee, not feeling hungry since he wanted his mouth free in case he needed a spell. Alarik however tensed with surprise when Viatas offered for him to arrive with him. Alarik’s surprise showed plainly on the man’s pale features, his lip tightening as he tried to understand why this elite house would want a lower house near him. Eli noticed his unease but Alarik was quick to cover it up with a softer smile. “Oh—actually that would be interesting Viatas. Though it might cause a few heads to turn.” He said politely since he was sure his father might get excited to see his son brushing elbows with someone of a higher station. “Well, my father did always say first impressions are important. It could be fun.” He gave a bit of a chuckle at the thought of the houses staring at him like he somehow tricked his way into White’s favor. It was hardly the case. Alarik wasn’t a sneaky or manipulative person and most that knew him knew he was honest to a fault.

When asked if she were protecting V at the meeting she nodded since it was her job, however when the fighting part came up she frowned lightly, putting her drink down. "Well, it's all about power plays with them honestly." She stated however Viatas seemed to be paying attention. " Its about outplaying the others, being more clever then them to be the top house. " he stated simply since he felt that was the way to power. When the sword was brought up Fey nodded with a bit of a blush. "Of course. I specialise in silver swords but I can use all kinds of weapons." She explained since she didn thinking on it much. "But I dont really like fighting with others. It's not really what I feel is right." She stated softly to Luca. Viatas nodded with her. "Sensless Violence is useless and dwindles the populations. Better to talk things out with out bias or prejudices. Saves time and makes you look better then an elder." He stated smoothly to bolster Fey's view. He was brought another espresso, giving the woman thanks before Fey picked it up ans took a sip. Her face scrunching at the bitter taste of it before passing it back. "Thank you my dear Fey." He stated before pausing a few moments longer before taking a sip himself. He gave a sigh at the strong taste and seemed to relax. Viatas looked back at Alarik when he said it was a good way to make an impression and smirked. "Indeed. If we can be of a like mind, in something's at the very least, I dont mind helping your house look high and influential." He stated more to make a point. "The meeting isnt as formal as you think however. Just a meet and greet and to ask for a general consensus really. Since Ada cant be bothered to look past his damned self." He stated in a low tone, his anger spiking mildly at the mere mention of Ada.

Alarik nodded at Fey’s assessment of why a guard was necessary. Power plays were the foundation of vampire society and influenced the decisions and alliances that were made. You didn’t become a powerful house without the ability to play games and keep your enemies in check. Luca however didn’t like the sound of all this. It sounded so backhanded and sneaky. Couldn’t they all just be honest with each other rather than resort to clever tricks? Fey’s further comment on the sword made his look at the blade more closely. Yeah, silver could really do a number on him. Almost as bad as the poisonous plant Wolfsbane. He knew vampires and humans used the stuff to scare off wolves, even at the expense of hostility being shown that triggered the problem in the first place. He let his eyes drift from the sword to her as she finished with mentioning she didn’t like fighting. That he could get behind. Eli listened to the groups talk about this ‘it’s easier to talk things out’ bullshit and kept his mouth closed. It was those people who got knives in the back while they were busy negotiating peace. Action was better than talk when talking hardly swayed those that truly meant you harm. “Well your views won’t get you any arguements at this table on your views of violence. Alarik fancies himself a pacifist.” Eli said as he drank his coffee, watching the girl poison check the other man’s coffee. She did so without hesitation, which made Luca look a bit put off by it. Alarik turned a bit red and gave hesitant shake of his head. “More of an advocate for peace talks between everyone honestly. I don’t think our views of each other have changed much since the wars of our forefathers.” Alarik said before giving Viatas a small frown. “Eli is right, I don’t mind discussing topics and perhaps we do share similar views. But my grandfather—our house Lord—is a stark traditionalist. My father, his second, is less so.” He said and Eli piped up, noticing the anger at this Ada man. “Vain vampires. Shocking.” He said And Alarik nodded. “Most the old ones are...sure of themselves. It’s how they survived so long without being murdered.” He said before taking a bit of the bagel in front of him. “I’m glad then. I haven’t been to many of these meetings since my father is the true heir when Lord Everleigh finally steps down.” Luca has been thinking on how to word his next comment to Fey, his mind still stuck on the fact she was so willing to hurt herself for Viatas. “Did you get to chose what position you got in your house? Surely they give you some choice if that position is for eternity.” Luca asked, his tone still pleasant as he spoke with her.

At the comment of pacifism he nodded but didnt speak yet. "I never said action wasnt necessary. Actions speak louder then words after all- it's just when it's best to act and not act." He stated, eyes on Eli since he sensed his skepticism. Fey noticed the slightly look Luca gave her when she sipped Viatas's drink and wondered a moment if that was unusual. At the question of her chosen position she shook her head. "No, we are tested before we are adopted. I tested high in strength and was able to do hard tasks at a young age. Originally I was to be political marriage tool, however once I took up a sword, they immediately transferred me. Lord Ada did that is. He said waste not want not." She stated since she felt it was a good back ground for him. She looked a little nervous since she wasnt sure ehow he would take that. "Is that not normal for werewolves clans?" She asked clearly in the dark of anything outside of a human and vampire knowledge realms. Viatas however didnt look away from Eli still, watching his expressions, he felt like he were being watched, and he knew the werewolf was busy...
