At the comment about accepting his alliance ,he smiled. Wringing his hand a hit since it had been a very firm shake, not meant to harm he assumed. A vampire could hurt him easily but he knew Othello was already changed and not used to dealing with many humans, so it was okay. "It was a pleasure getting to meet you, and I hope we can hangout again for breakfast some time Alarik." He stated easily before Fey motioned for him that it was time to get back. They left shortly afterwards, stopping in his room to change since he didn't need all that mess on anymore. He hated formalities but knew they were important. He made his way, alone down to the oldest wing in the household, finding it was dark but clean surprisingly. He smelled no dust or clutter, it was very antique looking but it was clean. He made his way into the parlor that had a light on to see a Vampire, his hair shirt and white, though his eyes glowed a more rose gold color then the usual gold he was used to. It was eerie but he accepted it. He asked for this meeting so, he wouldnt be shy. "Hello there human." Stated Jeremiah with a fanged smile, making Viatas bow. "Greetings Lord White. I am Viatas, soon to be head of house." He stated from his low bow, hesitating before he rose to glance at the man. He rose a brow but looked unbothered. "Your six years early for that, even then, your still human." He stated bluntly making him smile. "You will see that age matters little with a mind. I have fully read the histories and rules, I have established alliances and fully plan to take over in my roll by the end of this week." He stated boldly with out hesitation just a sound of satisfaction. Jeremiah chuckled at the boys ambitions. "Well, I guess you need to explain to me how you will accomplish such...cause I dont see it." He stated bluntly obviously calling Viatas's bluff- even if it werent. He watched the old vampire put his book down and cross a leg, looking at him, but he smiled. "Simple, I'll kill Ada." He stated smoothly and had no intent of not killing the vampire. He deserved it, he felt that with his whole being. The man rose a brow,"a human killing Ada? Not likely." He stated making Viatas chuckle. "I for one know our lady Elder has a taste for older Vampire blood does she not?" He asked as he went about the room for a few moments and let a hand brush some books as if reading a title. Jeremiah chuckled,"indeed Annabelle does, what of it?" He responded as if it werent a well kept secret when it was in the lower house. "Concider Ada's blood my coming of age gift. I will be needing you to change me." He added glancing over his shoulder at the vampire who looking mildly suprised at this turn of events. "So you want us to kill Ada and change you? Arent I a little old to be doing that boy?" He chided getting a smirk from Viatas. "Quite on the contrary. I will bring Ada, kill him for the Lady White, she can have as she likes from the fresh blood, but I can only ask that you will change me, I fear the lady wont have the control." He explained. Jeremiah gave him an interested look but seemed to be thinking heavily on the topic. "Let me think on this. But I feel it would be a fun idea. I need to see what Ada has been up too, it's been too long since I wandered the halls." He stated before waving dismissively at the human, who left after a small farewell.

Alarik left with his father, being sure to keep close to the man as they left out the entrance to the meeting hall. After all, even at this time of night, you never knew who could be watching. When they made it to the car, where Othello relaxed into his seat, massaging his forehead. "I detest these small meetings. Blackwater and Griffen will cause my early retirement." He chuckled although it was obvious by his face he meant it. He despised what the blackwater's had become since overall, as a group, they were great warriors and dignified people. It was a recent decade coup that overthrew the man once in charge who was executed because he refused to surrender and retire early. The lower level of the house took over, elevating Klaus as their leader. He was a skilled general and an excellent marksman with a sniper. But had a terrible attitude and honestly had baseless prejudices that ruled his hot-headed temperament. Othello could do without him, but such was the game of politics vampires played. And you had to play nicely when the bastard controlled your military... "I don't understand their prejudices against wolves. They haven't done a thing wrong." Alarik said and Othello gave him a stronger look. "They have done wrong in their past, my son. I just chose to live and forget our pasts to look towards a better future. Besides, warring with them is unwise. The humans would jump at that opportunity to say we are unfit and uncontrolled." He saw Alarik's face scrunch in thought, before a text came through on his phone. Alarik's eyes grazed the text and Othello could sense his pulse skyrocket. The boy was nervous? Excited? Scared? He leaned some onto his knees, looking at his son who seemed to gain a strange pink blush to his cheeks. "Everything alright, Alarik?" He asked and the boy seemed to jolt out of it, almost dropping his phone. "Um-yes--It's just a text from one of my human friends...He seems a bit off and I think I should go see him. You know--to make sure he isn't sad or doesn't need help." Alarik's words fumbled and Othello gave him a curious look. His son was getting awfully jumpy over his human...but he understood he was old enough to need responsibility and space. He would be a vampire by the week's end. "We can drop you off. Just be sure to be back by sunrise." He said and Alarik gave his father a nod, even though it didn't seem like his blush cooled. He made a mental note of the building before they left, just in case he needed to come deal with a human that harmed his son... ~~~ “You call me over here saying you wanted to talk...You know, it wouldn’t kill you to cuddle.” Eli looked up from his place on the floor, looking through his lashes at the blonde mortal in his bed. He let his eyes wander from his green eyes that held a certain hesitance despite the confident frown on his lips. His gaze slipped down from those lips, still red from the night’s activities, down to his slender neck that showed evidence of bruising marks that would heal with time. They trailed the open collar of the shirt that hid his pale skin and the svelte frame from years spent being cared for like a prince. He would have looked lower, to the legs he found himself between the entire night, but the man had them still hidden beneath the sheets. Pity. “It just might combust. I don’t like cuddling.” Eli said as he continued scratching another protection symbol on the floor. He was doubling up after this week and was sure it would come in handy. When didn’t it help to be a bit paranoid in his line of work? Besides after he passed out in his circle and Lilith began to get weird feelings, he was not willing to let himself be harmed. Not to mention the nightmare that woke him up moments ago was enough to make anyone’s blood run cold. He could still feel the priestess’s hands on his skin while the coven chanted and pounded their drums and rattled the chains of the sacrifices. He felt the blade plunging into his chest as the coven sang their wicked spell in a chant. The loss of blood and singing made his body feel heavy as he was pushed beneath the surface of the river. His arms still felt tense and sore as he fought against his mentor holding him beneath the current. His lungs were still burning as the frigid stream stung his skin. The burning began to turn to convulsions as his body struggled for air. He couldn’t hold it anymore, his mouth and lungs were filling with the freezing water. He was dying—he was— He was busy making the final curve of one symbol in a daze when he felt a hand slip into his brown locks. The touch made him tense and stop his carving, his irritation showing on his face. He had to bring himself back to reality, that this wasn’t his mentor’s hand shoving his head beneath the water to make sure the spell took...Not that the man noticed his unease as he played with his hair. “I liked it better red.” Eli swatted the hand away, shifting to his feet as he looked down at the source of his irritation. “Alarik. If you aren’t going to let me work then you need to leave.” Eli saw Alarik’s face pale as he stared up at Eli who seemed angry with him. Perhaps Eli was, but it was mostly displaced anger from his own fears. That dream had been so vivid—it was a memory after all...but that wasn’t his reality any longer. He was here, in his apartment with Alarik who was just being his usual, soft-sided self. Eli couldn’t blame him for not understanding when the man didn’t understand hardship the way he did. When Alarik looked down at his hands dejectedly, the sad look drew something out of Eli that he despised. Eli felt something in his chest burn, but not in the way he was used to. This kind of burn made his expression weaken and his resolve on the issue slip. It made him weak for the man's expression. “Or,” Alarik’s newly red eyes flickered up to meet Eli’s, “You can make yourself useful.” He said, reaching into his bag and pulling out sage from the front pocket and a lighter. “Cleanse the room for me?” Alarik’s dejected look faded and instead a happy smile graced his lips. Alarik gave an excited nod as he got up, hands outstretched to take the sage and the lighter. Eli placed the objects in his hands and moved around to his back, taking his hands. Couldn’t have the man wasting materials...”You light the sage then brush it out wards in a circular motion.” He moved Alarik’s hands to model the proper way, but he noticed the man was blushing at the mere contact. How could he still be this fluffy and innocent after all they had been through together? Either way, it brought a smirk to his lips as he slipped his free hand into the front of Alarik’s shirt. “Think you could help me out with a simple cleansing ritual? It’s probably better someone with a more...innocent soul does it.” Eli leaned in, making sure his lips brushed Alarik’s ears that were already turning red. “I’ll make it worth your while.” He felt Alarik tense, a shaky breath coming from him, and he knew he had the man flustered. It was funny and Eli chuckled as he pulled away. Alarik pouted, but went about cleansing the room as instructed. Eli set to work finishing the protection glyph. When he was done and the room smelled sufficiently smokey, he saw Alarik take a seat on the floor by him. Alarik admired the complex glyph and let his finger glide on the carving. It glowed softly at his touch, but no dangerous discharge came from it. Seems even his magic now was accounting for Alarik as being safe. Always too safe... “Do all magic users have to memorize these complex symbols? It’s beautiful but I don’t know that I would remember it with this detail.” Alarik’s question made Eli give a snort. “The ones with any talent do. The bad ones get killed if they carve the wrong thing.” Alarik frowned at that answer and Eli saw the man was thinking about something. “I saw that murder on the news...it looked bad. Do...you think a witch did it?” He asked but there was a loaded question there. Eli peered at Alarik and sized up his soul for the question the man was really after. He had seen the news report and what pictures the police released to the public. A witch was definitely involved, but were they the killer? That was hard to say. Anyone could sloppily slap some symbols down and call it magic. This seemed more organized, obviously with an older magic users influence. “Perhaps. And no, I’m not responsible. I hate being messy and that was obviously a hit job from someone with a score to settle.” Alarik looked guilty for a moment, but Eli spoke up before he had a chance to speak on it. Alarik was right to assume he could and would do something like this if necessary. “It was a—mind you poorly done and failed— life syphon spell. I mean their line work on the bed carvings was atrocious, like they carved it with a spoon and Parkinson’s.” Alarik gave him a confused look that drew a sigh from Eli. “Powerful witches and warlocks may sometimes try to prolong their life through dark magic. Some go the lich route or some go organic—draining the life of another person. It’s complex magic really and most people outside the dark arts don’t know of it. I only learned of it through my mentor’s books I inherited.” He said but gave a shake of his head. “It’s volatile old magic and it rarely succeeds if the person isn’t skilled and doesn’t know exactly what their doing. Honestly, the police are looking for someone far less experienced. Or someone unstable. I mean that wolf suffered alive for who knows how long while they cut him open. Those organs aren’t vital for life and the spell calls for the sacrifice to remain alive long enough to finish the incantations—” Eli caught Alarik looked green and horrified, even if he was trying to cover it up. It made Eli’s shoulder’s lax as he mentally kicked himself. Right, maybe the sheltered future vampire with a rosy view of the world wouldn’t want to delve in deeper to the horrors magic could create...Eli gave him a smile, but one that was edged with a hesitance he rarely showed. “Just because I know about it doesn’t mean I use it...besides that kind of thing really takes a toll on your soul. I need to save at least a bit of purity so I don’t scare you and the mutt off right?” His joke made Alarik’s lips pull into a smile and a weak laugh bubbled in his throat. Eli thought about that a moment and wondered what things would be like when Alarik finally got tired of him and pushed him away. Surely this agreement between them couldn’t last, not with his future now coming to fruition. He would probably marry some noble vampire brat and go on to adopt his own baby to care for. He would assume more power in his coven alongside his father and one day become a powerful old vampire that enjoyed his retirement. He would forget about the warlock he met years ago, saving him from the bad end of a witch hunter’s gun with his aunt. But until that day, Eli felt it wise to protect the trusting, soft creature, just till that day he didn’t need him anymore. “Come here.” Eli said, leaning over and pulling Alarik’s hand into his own. Alarik gave him a curious look and hesitated as if this might be some trick. Eli rolled his eyes. “You trust me enough to sleep with you but not to move closer to me? Strange vampire.” Eli’s catty tone made Alarik smirk and move closer to the warlock. “It’s not a matter of trust Eli. You just usually want space after...” He let the words trail off looking at his knees from where his legs were tucked beneath him as he sat in front of Eli. Eli moved, sitting on his legs in a similar fashion so that their knees touched. He kept holding Alarik’s hand he had given him and turned it over so he could see the palm. Alarik’s skeptical look said it all so he decided to give the vampire the chance to back out. “Trust me.” It was a statement, not a question, but there was a softness to Eli’s tone that made Alarik pause. He stared into Eli’s eyes a moment before a slow nod came from him. Eli reaches under his bed and produced a small dagger, no bigger than a letter opener. Alarik balked at the sight of the blade, but Eli didn’t pay that mind. “I’m going to give you and myself a small cut. Don’t freak out on me or drool on me, got it?” He said with his usual cockiness that made Alarik ease some. He watched Eli drag the small blade across Alarik’s palm, the sting minimal due to the blade’s sharpness. Blood pooled up from the cut in tiny pricks that were steadily growing. Eli did the same with his palm before he firmly laced their hands together. Eli acted as if he didn’t notice Alarik watching him in horror. He knew it wasn’t as kosher to bring blood into this in front of someone who barely understood magic, but he needed blood to be sure his magic took. He began reciting the ancient words softly, his mouth moving so fast with the familiarity of them that Alarik had trouble keeping up with what was being said. Not that he could understand them. Suddenly, a red string of light began curling around their clasped hands, tying itself around them. Alarik looked at Eli and saw his eyes were shut and a look of intense concentration was on his face. It brought a blush to Alarik, since he hadn’t seen that look on Eli’s face before. It was kind of attractive... Eli’s words began to slow and then ceased as the light faded and he released his hand. “There. That should do it.” Eli muttered, fishing around for something to clean the blood off their hands. However, before he could move away, Alarik caught his hand with a worried look on his face that made Eli’s body tense. “What did you do?” Alarik asked and Eli gave him a raise of his brow. “You’ll see when you need it most. Think of it as an insurance plan to keep the bad warlocks off of you.” He said nonchalantly, but Alarik gave a surprisingly light laugh. “Don’t like sharing do you?” He teased and Eli gave him a roll of his eyes. "I just prefer you alive and not dead." He said before getting to his feet and offering the man a hand up. "Now, let's get your hand cleaned up before your father has a freak out." ~~~ Luca sat at his desk, clicking through photograph after photograph of the crime scene. It was big news that a werewolf had been murdered in such a brutal way and he was tasked with finding this witch investgator to ask for her opinions on the case. He knew it would be hard to get anything out of her, but Luca was always willing to try. He had already gotten her department information to catch her after work. But for now, he was busy trying to piece together his thoughts on this story. He had already written a column just describing the scene, but his editors wanted a deeper dive. It felt wrong to put this poor wolf's life on display, his drug addiction charges, his pack, his final days...But people needed this kind of thing exposed so the killer could be found. He would be sure to do it justice, even if he mourned for poor Noah Falk. "Christ Luca. Is this what you do in your free time?" A female voice asked and he looked over his shoulder to see Sadie, the entertainment collumnist, who he had texted to come and see him. The woman was a pretty blonde with the body of a model and a face that could kill. But her wit and intelligence were above anyone in this office. He liked that about her and got along with her girlfriend who was one of the editors. They both knew what he was while other's didn't. It was just safer to keep his wolf nature to a minimum knowledge around humans. "Only when I'm really bored." He joked before spinning around in his chair and giving her a smile. "Sadie I need a favor. I have this girl that loves art--" Sadie's eyes widened. "A girl? Luca yay! I was worried you would be single forever after--" She began and Luca gave her a raised hand to stop her. "Nah--rather not talk about it...But I do want to impress this girl. You got any leads on a good exhibit?" He asked and she smiled brightly with a nod. "Yeah they are showing a collection called the Four Seasons. It's an interactive show where the paintings are alive on the walls. She might like that." He smiled and opened his mouth as if to ask a question but she simply snickered. "Of course I can get you two tickets. How does tomorrow sound?" He nodded enthusiastically before picking up his phone and quickly texting Fey. "Hey good morning or night for you! I wanted to tell you Sadie found a cool exhibit to check out. It's called the Four Seasons...Would you wanna go tomorrow?" He texted her, smiling to himself and feeling pumped snce he found something Fey might enjoy. He wanted to be sure the girl got a taste of what it was like to have some fun outside of work. He almost felt bad after yesterday's incident with her tasting Viatas's food. No one should have to sacrafice their well being for another...

Ada had been pissed today, the whole house was in slight disappear when the elder's husband decided to come look around. Easily strolling the halls and smiling at everyone, most didnt even know who he was. When Ada found the man he was lectured like a child, compared to Jeremiah- he was a child. A dumb child, it was obvious now why the human wanted him dead. All he did was rant and rave and cause issues. Nothing was ever good enough from others. Well he was about to learn the hard way, how life in the role of leaders worked. Viatas was sitting in the darkened parlor, it was actual morning, in this case very late for the ancient Vampire. Fey was there, swore in hand but resting since she was very on edge. She had heard terrifying things about these older vampires but this one seemed civil... for now. Viatas looked relaxed honestly as Jeremiah sipped his blooded wine. "So I saw to Ada today, I requested he come back to see me tomorrow. Rather publically so he has no choice. I will handle it then. Does that work for you? My Annabelle loved your idea." He chuckled getting a smirk from the human. "I thank you. That will be-" he began to say however a chirped ringtone from behind him rang out into the room. Fey blanched and grabbed her phone looked paler if possible. Jeremiah rose a brow at her but Viatas chuckled this time. "That will be just fine." He finished with a glance back at Fey who looked apologetic. There was a small silence before Jeremiah began to speak on something small in scope to the plot to kill the House Head, when the door clicked open and the Elder walked in. Everyone froze, faces suprised she was actually wandering around. Jeremiah stood and went to her side, giving her a soft kiss on the forehead before leading her to have a seat by him. The room looked frozen until Viatas slowly stood up and bowed low to the woman. "Greeting Elder." He stated softly, noticing her once golden eyes were a rusty color from age, that was scary. "This is the human who wanted to play fun with roles." He commented to give her a prompt perhaps. She looked him over, her eyes making his skin crawl. "I see...should be fun." She said softly in a bell like voice, even if they all knew she was ruthless. Jeremiah gave a soft look before glancing at Fey and Viatas," would be best you leave now, she came to fetch me to bed. I was out too long today." He stated bluntly before helping his wife up an dout of the room. Fey let things calm down and when they were on the way back to Viastas's room before opening her phone to read the message. She smiled when it was Luca, and had to do with the 'adventure' he promised and art. 'Sounds great! I'm free tomorrow all day/night.' She replied since she didnt know when but Viatas had already given her the time off. She wasnt sure why but he knew better she assumed.

Luca smiles at her text, glad to hear she was able to have the day off. Sadie tried to tease him, but he shooed her away and quickly typed out a reply. ‘Great! Let’s do the afternoon do we can grab dinner! How does 4 sound? Do you want me to pick you up or meet somewhere?’ He put his phone away and grabbed his bag, heading out to his car. He had to catch the detective before she left for the day after all. He drove to the police station and kept watch for the woman with white hair that his informant had pointed out. She was easy enough to spot as she stepped out of the building, fumbling with her keys for something. Luca got out of his car, approaching the small woman with a look that tried to be unthreatening. “Excuse me miss?” Luca’s voice made her jump before she looked up at him with wide, grey eyes. “Are you Detective Lilura?” She tensed and gave a stiff nod at him. “I am..who wants to know?” Her question wasn’t uncalled for, but it was a hard one to answer as he was sure she would be less than willing to talk to press. “I’m Luca Hunt. I work with The Herald. We’re doing a story on Noah Falk.” His words made Lilura huff before she walked past him. Luca blinked and easily caught up to her with his long legs. “Wait wait I just want your take on the case. Are there any leads? Any arrests? Come on just something to help the public be more aware.” Lilura looked unconvinced and hardly like she wanted to talk. That meant he had to possibly throw his shot out there that could get her to talk. “I’m a part of of the Hunt pack! We are close relatives to the Falk pack—Noah’s pack. I know they are refusing to speak to media and I’m sure the police. Their Alpha is a private woman.” Lilura stopped, looking at the man over her shoulder with a critical look. Luca figures he had a chance and decided to take it. “I could talk to her daughter, get you a chance to interview without having to go through all the channels that will just take too much time.” His offer hung in the air a moment till a rather large raven landed on her shoulder. Luca felt an odd energy coming off the bird and took a step back. Call it instinct. It cawed at him before Lilura walked over to him and gave him her card. “Text me when you get the in. I’ll be waiting.” She turned away, leaving Luca looking pleased. The next day he had texted Alarik and Eli that he was heading out with Fey and wouldn’t be meeting for their usual coffee. Eli seemed to be rather annoyed the wolf would worry about texting that while Alarik was supportive and excited. Luca got dressed in a lighter blue dress shirt and some black jeans as he assumed this place was fancy and he wanted to make a good impression. He texted Fey to see what she was up to and to be sure they were able to meet on time and she didn’t get held up.

Fey was nervous, mina had dressed her up in one of her dresses, and did her make up. It made her nervous mostly because she didnt look like herself. The dress was a pretty mint green that complimented her skin well, her red eyes more matching the pinkish red color on her lips. Her hair was up, and they wouldnt let her have any weapons, much to her her squirming. She was waiting outside the main gates, a white shaw over her shoulders since it was later on the afternoon. She was waiting patiently since they had arranged for him to pick her up, and they would do dinner and go look at art. She was excited. Her heels clicked lightly on the cornor of the street, as she checked her phone , noting he was due any minute now, which made her nervous. Dress: pin.it/5jnebt6e55vo65------- Viatas watched Mina dress up Fey and was happy for her to be going out. He also. Needed her out of the house long enough to enact his plan. It was important she was gone since she would be forced to step in. He didnt want Fey dead, she was a strong woman with a good heart.

Alarik sat at the counter in the kitchen where the servants had yet to enter because it was still the afternoon. He fiddled with the spoon in the ice cream, knowing it looked pathetic but he felt like he deserved to look less than pristine at the moment. He was dealing with enough as it was and didn’t need any added pressures. Not that he didn’t put himself in these pressures. He was fully responsible for what happened with Eli and he knew it. It just didn’t make it feel any better. Not that it was bad...Eli wasn’t the problem, Alarik was. “Very early morning nephew.” Erika’s voice made Alarik’s tired eyes flick up in her direction. His aunt saw they were puffy and her lips twisted into a frown. “Alarik are you okay?” He nodded quietly, digging back into the ice cream so he wouldn’t have to speak. His aunt noticed and gave him a tisk. “You know eating that mess will only make your hips wider. Talking is calorie free.” She said, making Alarik smirk, but it was sad. He swallowed his bite before he looked back to his aunt with a softer look. “It’s nothing you should concern yourself with, Auntie. It’s simply troubles that I brought upon myself, knowing damn well they would come. I just didn’t expect it to be today…and not before I had my change to where I could escape the consequences of my own decisions.” He said cryptically, making his aunt give him a long look. “I take it it’s about the friend you went to help last night.” Alarik balked that she knew and gave her a glare like he briefly thought she had him tailed. She gave him a smirk. “Your father told me you were acting suspicious and told me about your late night visit…A girl knows when troubles are more than they appear. Now tell me, Is it boy troubles?” Her second spot on guess made him tense and she shook her head, pulling at the collar of his shirt. “Those hickies are definitely from a man. Now care to elaborate before I start filling in more blanks?” Alarik swallowed hard before he nodded and looked down at the half melted chocolate ice cream in his bowl. “I-It’s really nothing. I caused it honestly. He said no strings attached but…” He fidgeted with his hands, remembering back to when this all began. It was about a month after he met Eli, a man he found bloodied in an alley while a member of the Brotherhood of Light was beating him senseless. He had stopped the car he had been traveling in with Erika and ran to help without a thought. The situation turned dire when the man lashed out at him, but Erika easily took his head off with no more than a twist and a pull. They had taken him unconscious to the hospital and got him help, even if at the time they had no idea why the man was treated the way he was. When he woke, he reluctantly introduced himself and begged Alarik to keep anyone from knowing who he was and that he wanted to leave as soon as possible. That he needed to lay low. Alarik remembered how rude and snappy he was, making Alarik think he was a proper jerk. That was till he saw him worry over his cat…It made this mean man appear so much softer as he held the strange creature that suddenly scurried into the room. He couldn’t be all that bad if he loved a creature that looked so helpless…Alarik agreed to help him and the rest was history. He even lent him a place to stay free of charge, an old hideout of the Everleigh spies that Eli now lived in. Of course Eli was hard to warm up to, but once Alarik did, he noticed the man wasn’t as frigid as he let off. While there still weren’t a lot of things he knew about Eli, his friendship with the man began to grow with the natural give and take. When Luca got introduced to him, things became better. Alarik wasn’t sure how things became sexual, only that Eli had gotten drunk at the summer equinox celebration and things escalated when he propositioned Alarik in the parking lot while Luca was off flirting with some werewolf chick. From there it was a friends with benefits situation that both were fine with, or so Alarik thought. Over time he began feeling annoyed when Eli would sleep with others and it irritated him that Eli didn’t seem to consider his feelings in front of others. When he tried to get closer to Eli, he pushed him away. But when he tried to pull away, the warlock was texting him to “talk”. Eventually it became too much and Alarik went into a small break from his friends. They thought it was over a breakup when really it was over his mind not syncing with his heart. He knew he wasn’t Eli’s type, that he was over thinking this simple exchange and that he shouldn’t feel this way…But he cared for the warlock more than the warlock cared for him. Even today, after spending the evening wrapped up in each other, it was still aparent that there was this wall up that Eli was never going to let down. Alarik would forever be stuck in this limbo of him never trusting him enough to ever let his guard down. And he didn’t want that for himself, not when he had a very long life as a vampire ahead of him. But as much as he tried, he couldn’t be without Eli. He tried to explain as much to his aunt who called him silly and that a relationship with a human was impossible for a creature that would outlive them. Eli was best forgotten, she kept saying, even if it hurt Alarik to hear it. ~~~ Luca arrived at the specified place, trying not to gawk at the impressive gate. It looked much nicer in comparison to the sedan he paid for with his minute paychecks as a journalist. He knew vampires had money, but hell, that was impressive. Fey and Viatas must have seen some real money in this House of White. It made him honestly think of how the vampires stepped on the wolves to live like this. Fey was different of course, but this was almost ridiculously flaunting their money. He saw a girl by the gate and for a moment thought she might be someone else, but when he caught the flash of those pretty red eyes looking at him, he realized who it was. He tried not to look star struck as she climbed into the seat next to him with beautiful green-blue dress and lipstick that made the wolf in him get drawn in by the reddish pink. Not to mention she looked damn near adorable at the moment and he couldn’t help that he found her attractive. This was just a friendly outing, but Luca did allow himself to be impressed by how she looked. Not that she wasn’t always pretty. Fey already had very beautiful features, much like the vampire women she would one day become. But there was something soft and pure under all that cold, quiet exterior that made her adorable. Luca gave her a soft smile, getting out to open the door for her. “Hey Fey!” He said before closing the door and taking a seat next to her. “You look amazing by the way. Like really pretty." He said, but figured that was too forwards and cleared his throat to move on. "But I am a bit surprised to see you without the sword…unless it's hidden?” He asked, more in a joking manner before he got to driving. “I was thinking of going by the steak place nearby. And yes, wolf jokes aside, I only go places that serve meat. If that’s too much we could try the seafood place by the bay. Or there’s this Japanese place that’s pretty good. They even do this thing where they set the grill on fire. Scared the hell out of Lupin when I took him.” He chuckled at the last bit before giving her a half smile. “But tonights about you and getting an adventure on your day off. What would you rather have?” He asked, since he was trying to make this night fun for her.

Fey was trying to be patient but she was anxious about this. 'Was her outfit wrong? Did she look okay?' She kept asking herself but didnt have much time to respond to her own questions before Luca pulled up in his car. When he got out and looked happy she smiled back almost sheepishly. Getting into the sedan, being careful with her dress. At his complement she blushed and didnt speak, letting the car start driving. The sword question got a nod,"They said it wasnt appropriate for a dress. I tried to convince them but to no avail." She said sounding defeated but there was a humored tone to it. At the dinner options she thought a moment, looking out the window no more then a few seconds. "Steak house is fine. I'm not really a sea food fan, too much fishy flavor." She said with a joking tone again since she really hated the taste of fish. She looked him over out of the cornor of her eye in the car ans liked his casual yet proper look. "You look good and relaxed today Luca. I like that look on you." Shw stated with a flash of white teeth with her smile.

Luca listened to her woes about not having a sword because ‘they’ told her it didn’t belong with outfit. Granted it was dangerous for him to be around silver and the museum may not like weapons being carried around, even by girl who was gorgeous but still look like she could kick your ass. He would have to thank whoever this ‘they’ was though if they helped her get dressed. At her affirming the steakhouse as her choice, Luca nodded since he liked that choice. It was owned by a werewolf clan but they were very accepting due to their diverse clientele, from vampires to humans. It was one of the best places to eat in the area. After all, who knew meat better than skilled hunters? He might get a look or two for being around someone so openly smelling like a vampire, but he knew he didn’t care. Fey was still herself and he liked spending time with her. The news on his outfit being nice made him smile to himself. “Thanks, I had to dress to impress since I knew you would look fantastic. And as a stipulation I do have to do a little work while we’re there but it will be quick. Just a picture and comment here so I can write the column on the museum tomorrow.” He said, jerking his thumb to the backseat where is camera was tucked away in its case. He gave her a raise of his brow. “You don’t mind do you? Sadie asked it as a favor for getting the press tickets.” He said since the office usually only got two tickets per show to give press access. If he was using them on an outing, it would have to look like he did some work... “Anyways, if you think this is relaxed, you should see really relaxed. Clothing was optional back home, but the severe winters kept that from happening often.” He said but realized that might have been oversharing. “I’m surprised Viatas gave you the whole day off. He must not be up to anything dangerous today huh?” He asked since it seemed Viatas relief on Fey to protect him, even from poison...

At his words on how he 'knew' she would look made her blush a little. He had been calling her pretty a lot, she liked that much better then what she usualy got called. As he continued to explain what else they had to do she shook her head. "I don't mind at all. I wouldnt mind seeing you work." She stated softly before getting a little awkward and looking out the window instead of at Luca. As he talked about relaxed clothes- or lack there of, she looked a little baffled by it. "At the House of White. We come in with nothing of our own. We are given new last names, a set of clothes for each thing, something to study in, sleep in, play in, train in. We keep the sets in our closets, well at least in the barracks we do, it's different for the house. They are gifted many outfits to show the house power." She explained before thinking in the comment with Viatas. "He is a good friend of mine. He often talks to me of his insecurities, his wishes and hopes...hes a good man, just dealt a bad hand. Besides today be said he was going ti study up on something for the meeting. Boring stuff." She explained honestly to Luca about her charge. "He does what he can to keep his friends out of trouble." She added with a giggle before looking at Luca. "Not that running off to have an adventure with a cute boy isnt trouble. Atleast he tried." She teased him with a grin since she wasnt afraid to tell Luca what she thought.

Luca was surprised she didn’t mind him working, not that it would be all that intrusive. Or he would try to be sure it didn’t interfere. He wanted to have fun himself tonight. The deeper look into what her past in that home made Luca’s eyes widen some. To think they made her life that structured, as if taking away any freedom of decision in her life. Luca would have never done well in a world like that. He probably would have been killed. Then again, he was raised understanding he had this freedom and autonomy as a wolf that couldn’t be taken from him. If he had been raised as Fey had, would he feel differently? Her talks on Viatas, who seemed to be a good friend to her, made him feel a little better. At least the man saw her as a friend and not a tool to be used. However the comment about going on his assessment of trouble when it came to a ‘cute’ boy made Luca chuckle. If not a bit glad she found him...well perhaps cute wasn’t the right word that a wolf expected but he would take it. “Please, I’m not trouble at all. Probably he can sense I’m as harmless as a bunny rabbit.” He joked, knowing fully well he wasn’t physically but morally he was. He didn’t want harm to come to Fey and wouldn’t dare let anything happen that hurt her. The same went for any friend of his. “I’m glad you have a good friend in Viatas. I’m not trying to bash your house but, it sounds awfully strict. I can only imagine what it had to be like going to a place where you just kind of have to fall in line or suffer the consequences.” He said before he gave a shrug. “But hopefully Viatas can change that. He seems like he has a good head on his shoulders and genuinely cares about others. You might get put in danger though over that. Not that I think you can’t handle it.” He made a turn down a few streets before they stopped at a place that looked to be a part of a hotel. He got out and helped Fey out before he handed his keys to the valet. He went to open the door for her but paused when a wolf in a waiters uniform opened the door with a smile. “Long time no see Lucais. Not here with Enforcer Remus?” He asked as he met Luca in a greeting where they took each other’s forearm in a grip that would be quite tight for anyone not supernatural. “Not tonight. My friend and I are here to enjoy the best food in the city.” The wolf gave a smile to Fey before bowing some. “Nice to meet you madam.” He said as he led them to a table that had a nice street view. “Order whatever you like.” Luca said before he gave her a softer smile. “Are you excited for the exhibit? I meant to ask, what got you into art?” He asked since he was curious where that came from with her.

At the bunny rabbit joke ahead giggled loudly since that was funny to her. Luca with bunny ears on would have been so adorable, but still somehow a pair of dog ears and a tail seemed go fit the image better, he was a predator but an adorable one at that. "I'm not sure if you would like bunny ears, but it would be adorable." She giggled before trying to contain her giggles when they pulled up. She hadnt minded his words on her friend and charge so she felt no need to respond since Viatas would do what was best for them all. She waited in the car for him to open the door and help her out. One hand in one of his, the other keeping her dress straightened and pretty. She nodded a small thank you before letting his hand go as they headed in but were greeted by familiar staff it seemed. She gave a sheepish smile when she was called his friend, she liked that idea. When the world greeted her she smiled back and bowed her head lightly in return, following them inside to a nice table with a pretty view of the street. When told to order what she liked, she ordered a lite salad and the herb-cruated filet light-Blue. Meaning it was barely cooked, since that's how all food was cooked at the House of White. Once Luca ordered she gave him a smile, as she took a sip of her sweetened tea. She seemed excited for the sugary beverage after all. When asked about the exhibit she nodded enthusiastically,"oh yes, I could hardly sleep I was so excited." She explained before munching on a bread stick they had on the table. When asked what got her into art she slowed her chewing a few moments. "My mother, she used to paint. She once told me that 'art was a true way of expressing your self, to show the world something from your point of view, your experiences.' " She explained softly to Luca the more personal memory but didnt mind that he asked. She sipped her tea again before adding on. "Also I enjoy seeing all the different colors and amazing images in photographs, I'm surrounded by black and white colors and tones for years...makes my boring days to come more bearable. Viatas often sneaks me photographs from the news papers, till they are found and thrown away anyhow. " she added with deflated humor since it was inevitable but they both still tried.

Luca liked that the idea of bunny ears made her laugh since the idea did make him smirk a bit at it. Wouldn’t that be a sight? A werebunny? He wasn’t surprised she was accustomed to good food at a house like that. On the other hand it was obvious he wasn’t. He ordered whatever steak was the biggest and juiciest and some mixed greens because he had to eat something healthy. He ate like food was going out of style and honestly it was due to his fast metabolism and the fact he burned it off in just existing at his size. His father could put away four steaks himself and still be peckish. Luca was happy she was excited but her reasoning was sweet. It made him feel a small burn in his chest at his thoughts of his own mother. It seemed like her mother was a decent person if she Seemed to have that idea of art. “It’s true. Your mom is right.. It’s why I like photographs honestly. It’s a good way of preserving memories and those experiences.” He said before he smiled at her news about liking newspaper photos. “Oh really? Well I’ll have to take you by our photo room at work. I can maybe smuggle you some better photos. Wow I never thought I would have to say that.” He said before he grabbed the water they gave. “Do they allow you guys to take up hobbies like maybe painting? You might have gotten a few skills from your mom.” He asked since he was trying to see if the House of White allowed her anything more than just being a guard.

Fey smiled at Luca softly when he said her mother was right. At the suggestion of smuggling her into work to look at photographs she smirked, it was more of a teasing look. "I'm not sure your boss would like that." She teased since she knew it wasnt the best option. At the question of a hobby she seemed in thought a moment. "Only the higher house members. I wont be allowed to." She stated but seemed to look down about it. "I dont know if I have skills like that, I'm not sure where to start even to try." She said softly since she wasnt sure how to try a hobby.

Luca gave her a wink when she teased him for wanting to sneak her in to his office. It wouldn’t be a problem since he was a photographer and they were his photos. “Fine fine, I’ll just give you some photos if I find some that I like. They usually just get tossed out anyways.” He said taking a breadstick to try it. However, the news that she wasn’t allowed a hobby made Luca tilt his head. “You’re serious? They even make it impossible for you to even get a hobby?” He asked before shaking his head. “No no, not going to stand for that. You’re going to help me take some photos tonight. The best way to get into a hobby is to give it a shot. I can totally show you the ropes and if it isn’t for you we can try something else.” He said giving her a bright smile. “So no need to worry about skill or not knowing where to start. We can figure this out—if you want of course.” He then have a small sigh, wondering if he should share his thoughts about this whole vampire house thing. He might as well since he needed to be honest with her. “Does any of that ever bother you? The control they have over everything? It sounds...lonely.” He wasn’t sure if he was overstepping and would shut up if he was, he was just worried about her.

When he made a big deal over her not being able to have a hobby, she looked a little suprised. Most were resigned to it, since most didnt desire to have hobbies out side their jobs, at least in The House of White. At the news that he wanted to get her to help him work made her eyes go wide, she wasnt too sure about that. "I dont want to mess up your work though Luca, but if it's really okay, I'll try it." She said trying to cover her surprise still. She took a sip of her tea to help relax hopefully. Things were quiet a few moments before Luca asked a sensitive question. It sounded like he was worried for her, not that she minded but she was able to care for herself, but that wasnt what he was after. She gave a small sigh, fidgeting with her napkin a little. "A little, I dont mind too much, but being able to have a photo collection would be nice. Once I get promoted, I should be able to have one, or at least Viatas said I could. " she explained lightly that she didnt even want much out of life right now, but a photo book would make her happy. She was a quiet girl who liked quiet things, fiercely loyal, and would beat any enemy thrown at her to protect her friends. Most just thought her awkward shy ways were her being snobby and cold, so she learned to not ask for things or friends. Viatas had been a suprise, honestly.
