Eli listened to Viatas’s reply, but Eli’s expression didn’t change from nonchalant look he had. Everyone thought they were clever enough to judge a situation and decide the best course of action. This man seemed to have drive to do what needed to be done, but would that matter if he made the wrong call? He could get himself and that girl killed if whatever he was playing at failed. ”His fear drives him—turns it into resolve. I can taste it ...Let me take a closer look...” Lilith whispered in his mind, but he simply broke his eye contact from Viatas, making Lilith hiss as he connection to him was broken. He wasn’t out to probe the boy’s mind or let Lilith harm this one. It wouldn’t do him any good when the boy was harmless for now. “I apologize if I insinuated you were anything less than capable of making those calls, Viatas. As I said, you aren’t receiving any arguments here and I don’t know you well enough to judge.” He said, noticing the man was watching him and he didn’t want to sour the mood with his own skepticism and curiosity about the strange man. He wasn’t sure what the read was that he was getting on him, but he was curious to see where it led. “Now, tell me, why is it you are calling this less than formal meet and greet with vampires? Do you all enjoy idle talks?” Eli asked to change the subject to something less hostile and perhaps more in line with what Alarik might want. After all, he looked worried that Eli had offended the man. “I assume it’s just to introduce Viatas to the other clans. We rarely see the House of White at regular social gatherings.” Alarik said in case this was a tense situation. Lica didn’t even seem to notice the shift in conversation and instead was paying attention to Fey. The news that she was picked and tested and just forced into a path in life bothered him. How could anyone willingly live like that? Let alone the idea of being forced be a pawn for political marriage. Would she have just blindly did as this Ada guy said if he had told her to marry some stuffy old vampire? She even said she didn’t like fighting. He felt bad to hear she didn’t get a choice in any of this it seemed. When she asked if werewolves were the same, Luca quickly shook his head. “Uh—packs actually. Clan is not a strong enough word. And nah, we pretty much get to do whatever job we pick if you’re not called upon by the Alpha for some task. The Alpha’s the person in charge of everything and makes the big decisions, kind of loosely like this Ada guy it seems, well with less of an attitude and bigger claws. But you only get special tasks, like Enforcer, if you’re in the Alpha’s bloodline, or we call it a Sub-Alpha. It’s all community based though like farming, smithing, medicine, hunting, spiritual, caregiver, teacher, or those that work with humans and vampires to ease tension. Whatever helps the pack stay strong and survive. I chose something a bit different, like building out our pack relations in a way.” He said, hoping to give her as much information as she was giving him. He was surprised she was so willing to share, but it was a nice thing. It made it easier to talk to her. “So what do you like doing then Fey? It sounds like the marriage and sword stuff got picked for you...so is there anything like a hobby or maybe something you would rather do?” He asked since he was having a hard time understanding how someone could just accept someone controlling their life.

When Eli broke eye contact he let slip a small smile, the mans' words seeming passive. At the question of the meeting he rose a brow. "Most of us do not. This meeting is a prelude to the majority house call coming soon. I wanted to meet some others, get a feel for what going on. I will be seeing everyone at the House meeting after all." He stated boldly, mostly implying he would be house leader by the end of the week- 6 years early at that. Fey rose a brow at him but didnt speak, turning her attention back to Luca. Listening about pack life, it sounded different but in a good way. "Sounds nice. Thought I wouldnt know what to do with myself. " she stated honestly before thinking on a hobby she liked. "I like to look at paintings." She stated before sitting her cocoa again. Viatas glanced at Fey knowing she wasnt privy to his plan yet he had been thinking all morning, that was before Ada came barging in to lecture him more.

Alarik was glad to hear this was a formality and not something larger. With Vampires you never knew the true intent until their plot was seen to fruition. They were bred that way as children. But he liked the idea that the levelheaded man would be representing his house at this meeting alongside his Lord. It would be nice to have a voice of reason if the old bats got out of hand. “True. We’ll all be in attendance. Though Lord Everleigh expects only my father to speak. Us that are still human have less of a role sadly.” He said since the human members were usually there to just observe if they were allowed in the council chambers. Eli noticed Alarik’s hesitance with it all but decided not to comment. The guy was doing his best to make a good impression, even at the expense of his comfort with this situation. That could be fixed easily enough. “Alright new topic. You two are talking like this is a business meeting. You’re awful young Viatas. Tell me why we never see you in any of the local haunts for young mortals? Your other house members seem to find ways to sneak out?” Eli asked, making Alarik look at him with a slightly scolding expression. The man could be impossible sometimes with that mouth of his. Luce’s smile tightness when she said the pack life sounded nice. It was nice with the right pack. The Hunt pack was hardly the right pack for him. “Honestly I hardly know what to do with myself either. Which is why I took up a job in journalism. Photography to be more exact.” He said since he enjoyed the field and found it exciting to be involved in breaking news and capturing the life of the city. As for her hobby, his expression flashed with excitement. “Oh cool! We should totally check out a gallery in the city. I’ll ask my coworker if she knows of anything going on in the city. She writes the culture and nightlife articles and knows all the juicy details.” He said before he blinked and offered her a softer look. “If that’s something you would be into though?” He added as an after thought to give her an out if she wasn’t interested.

At the idea that Alarik woudlnt speak he nodded, since he knew this. Ada would have insisted the human's leave the room however he didnt expect Ada to survive the week, the meeting was just before his change ceremony, meaning he had a time frame for his plot. His mind went into a dark place as he hate for the man surfaced for a brief moment but he covered it with a pleasant business smile. "I am not permitted to leave the residence, by the current Head of Household. Says it's to keep lines pure." He stated the bullshit he was told for years but rolled his eyes. "Honestly the ass hates not being in control of others and likes to pick on those who will one day be greater then him. Makes him angry and shallow." He stated bluntly. Very bold for a human but he didnt seem to care in the slightest. When Luca said he was into Journalism she brightened up, genuinely interested since that meant he wrote stuff and took pretty pictures. At the offer to go out and see stuff together she seemed excited about it, giving a small excited clap in her seat but her smile suddenly dropped and she looked at Viatas who was watching her. "That is if its permitted?" She asked in a more soft tone to the man, wondering if she even could. He looked her over a moment, seeing her wanting to go and have fun and he gave her a soft look. "Sure, just let me know when so I can plan things around it. Cant have you double booked." He stated since he needed his friend there to help keep him safe, after a few things that were going to happen, he would need it. Fey turned a smile back to Luca and nodded firmly," alright then, it's a plan then. " she said looking happy at the idea.

Alarik was not expecting Viatas to speak openly about his Lord of the house like that. Such a thing was expressly forbidden and treasonous. Not that Alarik would tell on him. He rather liked that the man was honest even if his hate for the other man was so strong that it was a bit concerning for his future. Even after Ada retired he would still have some guidance in the house. Alarik wasn’t sure how he intended to circumvent that but he hoped for Viatas’s sake it happened. And he thought Lord Everleigh was bad... Eli on the other hand looked a bit more interested in the man’s rant, his mind going to the obvious. He could offer the boy his services to get back at the man but that may be too public of an arena to actually involve himself in. Besides, he wanted to see how that played out... this felt like the energy he had seen in the man. So this Ada was the focus of his hate? “He sounds petty and weak. Like he doesn’t deserve or need the power he has. Why is the worst of an entire group gets put in charge?” Eli mused since it had been similar in his home. A scared, warped woman controlled the entire coven for her own designs and no one ever opposed her... Alarik paled at all this talk before he looked to Viatas. “But you will be in charge one day and you can be better. As my father says. The young inherit and ruin the plans of the old.” He said before clearing his throat to negate the negative conversation in case ears were listening or this was some ploy to expose treachery. Luca smiles when she got excited, his eyes narrowing some in humor when she clapped. It was cute and made him want to see what she would be like when she was really happy. It was a nice thought...He glanced at Viatas when she asked his permission, wondering if the man would tell her it was too risky. Instead he supported her, at the pretense she still fulfill her duties when needed. When the deal was struck, Luca gave her a happy nod l. “Good then it’s settled. I’ll find out tomorrow and text you with the details. I hope it’s a good one. I want to make sure you get to have some of those fun adventures we talked about.” He said since he did promise to show her fun things around the city.

At the words of Ada he nodded since he agreed, but didnt comment further since Alarick seemed uncomfortable over it. "Indeed, well, I do have to say I'm a little suprised with today, it's been interesting so far. In a good way." He stated before sipping his coffee with a sigh that sounded content. Fey nodded happily before sipping her cocoa again. She heard the tense words the boys were having but decided to respond to eli's comment. "At The House of White, the motto is you are only as strong as the weakest." She stated getting a frown for Viatas. "Yes, that's why they decide when your a child weather to kill you or not, not dont want any albino children running around with out their gods forsaken banner." He stated dryly getting a small from Fey. "Its a good house, regualrdless of the man in control of it. It's a strong house with sway. You can use this to change things." She stated smoothly getting a nod from the boy. "Indeed, that's about all its use for all its prejudices and bias." He stated blandly in return before glancing away from Fey clearly dismissing that conversation in front of others.

Eli gave a smile at Viatas’s comment about this breakfast being interesting. “It always is. Even when it’s a slow day.” Eli said before his eyes flicked to Fey, who seemed to have Luca’s attention as well. Alarik wasn’t shocked to hear about their house’s strict rules and views. His father had told him about each of the houses and went over expressly that the House of White was archaically cut throat and imposing. It was best to leave them be, he would walkways day. What would he think when he arrived with their next leader? Alarik winced at the news that they killed children, Eli nodded as if it made sense, and Luca’s mouth fell open in shock. To think that a house would be willing to kill a child just because they didn’t fit in with their vampire lifestyle. It made Luca’s stomach clench and his mind go back to a darker place that he found himself lost in as a child. He barely stayed there a moment in that headspace before he was back out and giving Fey a raise of his brow. “You’re right. The only way to stop evil that’s spread through an entire way of life is to start at the top and clean it out level by level.” He said since it seemed Viatas was done speaking on the matter. Alarik swallowed hard before deciding to speak up with a slight quiver to his voice at the harsh topics. “Um well I must say this has been interesting. Im glad you were able to come with Fey, Viatas. It’s rather nice knowing one of the more feared houses will be in better, kinder hands.” Alarik said offering Viatas a kind smile.

When Alarik spoke sounding like a mouse almost Viatas gave him a soft smile and a nod. "I dont know about that but I will do my best to make things right." He stated since he knew a lot of dark horrors then most did about their house. He glanced at his watch and sighed,"Well Alarik, we should head out, best to be early- or in this case- on time." He joked since he hadnt been keeping track of time and if they left now they would be on time, thankfully. He stood and immediately Fey stood, her back straight and at attention, her training showing well. Viatas gave her a nod and motioned to her cocoa. "Dont forget your cocoa, you would be unhappy if you did." He said in a soft tone since Fey was a sweet girl, she didnt need a harsh tone to get things done. She nodded before turning to smile softly at Luca. "Time to leave. I'll message you when I can,I am looking forward to your messages." She said with a smile before following after Viatas and Alarik who had to go to a meeting. Viatas left a card on the table for the bill, telling them to bill the House of White.
----- Entering the large conference room, a large circular table was carved in find wood and around a pretty contained flower bin. It was a pretty set up for a conference room, so most didn't mind it. This was an interesting meeting however, well would be. Most of the chairs were filled only a few were empty when the time to start came about, the guest of honor, the one who called this wasnt here yet however. After a few minutes the door opened and a women with white hair came in, escorting a human man, white hair and red eyes, nut he wore the house attire of The House of White, as the girl did. Next came in Alarik Everligh, who went to sit by his father no doubt. Fey looked imposing as a vampire stepped up from the side wall to figure our her roll. Quite quickly- and amazingly for a human- she had the vampire slammed back to the wall, and the hell out of Viatas's way. He continued walking and took the seat at the head of the table a smile on his lips. "Greetings everyone and good evening. I appreciate you coming to this little gathering." He said easily before looking at Fey who took her place over his right shoulder. "I wanted to meet everyone and get a feel on how things have been, between the inter class tensions, things between werewolves and witches alike...things are getting more complicated as we can only assume the humans will catch on soon." He stated easily since it honestly was. "I am Viatas of The House of White. Soon to be Head of House. I would be pleased if we could all be civil and work together to solve our problems." He stated ending his little opening speech of sorts since he had to be formal.

"Greetings everyone and good evening. I appreciate you coming to this little gathering." He said easily before looking at Fey who took her place over his right shoulder. ((Feel free to control any of these characters if you need to do something with this meeting or think of something interesting for one to do. I totally don't care if you want to shape their personalities different either because their honestly minor characters)) Alarik felt his heart rise into his throat as he followed Viatas's entrance, trying not to show his shock as he saw the room full of other vampires. The collection of older and younger vampires definitely did not like the idea of a human leading this meeting, let alone that a human guard had the audacity to lay a hand on a vampire. The House of White name was the only thing that saved this human from a verbal lashing from the older vampires in attendance. There were five houses in attendance, not including the house of White. They were the most prominent and stable of the clans that had enough standing to call themselves houses. The splintered, smaller clans that either fell apart in the war or never had the numbers fell in line behind the major clans and would abide by their decisions. There was Clan Griffin ( led by Lady Ambrosia Griffin), Clan Blackwater (led by Lord Klaus Blackwater), Clan Everleigh ( led by Lord Anton Everleigh and his second Lord Othello Everleigh), Clan Belmont (led by Lady Veda Belmont), and Clan Imprie (led by Lord Lyric and Lady Inara). They were the cornerstones of vampire society and knew it. Othello eyed his son entering the room and gestured to the chair next to him so his son knew where to sit. "Quite an entrance...Anything I should know?" Alarik gave his father a shake of his head, watching as the Othello took his seat and began to speak. "I rather like him." Alarik whispered, making a small smile pull at Othello's lips despite himself. At least Lord Everleigh was unable to attend due to his own feelings on the idea of attending a meeting held by a human, no less one so far from succeeding his Lord. That left Othello, already perfectly capable, to take the reigns of his house. "Greetings Viatas. It's a pleasure to finally meet the successor of The House of White. I had hoped Lord Ada would be in attendance however, as this is your first meeting." Lady Griffin stated, her red eyes calculating despite her softer, youthful features. She was the oldest in the room and of course, would be the first to speak. Blackwater, the youngest above Alarik, gave a nod. "Yes, it is quite a surprise. But I like it. An excellent way to have him be truly prepared and informed. Trial by fire as they say." His attention went to his glass on the table, since it seemed he was bored honestly. "We could spend hours talking about the nature of this meeting or get down to business. Introductions are in order." Lady Belmont snapped, getting the attention of the others who looked peeved with her rigid nature. "I am Lady Veda Belmont of Clan Belmont." She said in a terse tone, bowing her head slightly. Blackwater gave Viatas a charming smile. "Lord Klaus Blackwater of Clan Blackwater. Charmed." He practically drolled in this Louisianna southern accent that rolled off his tongue. Two vampires rose, one bowing while the other curtsied. The tan male gave Viatas a once over from his lashes but soon rose from his bow. "I am Lord Lyric and this is my lovely wife--" "Lady Inara of Clan Imprie. A pleasure to meet you soon to be Lord White." The olive-skinned woman said in a soft, lilting voice that was deceivingly light for her obvious confidence. "And I am Lady Ambrosia Griffin. A still close political ally to The House of White." She said, obviously fanning her own ego at the idea. "I suppose that leaves us. Lord Othello Everleigh of Clan Everleigh and my son, Alarik Everleigh, as it seems you already know." Othello said with a smile before he looked to the room. "As the last to speak, I might as well inform you that interclan relations have been prospering under the new systems. The smaller clans come to the five houses you see before you for protection and resources. It's been functioning quite well as long as we continue our efforts to revitalize their clans with new members or funds. So many lost numbers in the war and haven't been able to gain standing within the human world or our world without our support." Othello said, truly feeling like that was an area that needed more attention. Lord Blackwater gave a sigh. "If I gave a penny for every charity case Lord Othello picked I would be broke. My house simply can't keep supporting the bulk of their numbers. Furthermore, we all rose from the ashes and gathered our strength to become where we are today, many of us lower households before the schism that tore apart the original council." Lady Griffin gave a cluck of annoyance. "Speak for yourself Lord Blackwater. My house withstood the war quite nicely in our continued glory. And the Griffin's understand the necessity of keeping the lower houses content. I prefer them well fed and cared for than rising against us." She stated and Lady Belmont rolled her eyes. "Listen, Viatas. We are the ones you will be dealing with the most and we have a...mutual understanding of each other's stances. We all have allied ourselves with each other in hopes of a more unified council. Our last leaders led us to war. We do not wish the same for those under our care." Lady Belmont's statement made Lord Imprie lower his head in solidarity. "Agreed. We will endeavor to come to a mutually beneficial understanding of our new tenants. Our laws have not been considered for some time and the Elders are sending their priestesses to govern over the debates. All the houses will be in attendance, lower to upper." Lord Imprie said as to fill Viatas in on what the agenda was. ((Letting your chara digest this before I get into the werewolf and magic users problems))

Viatas watched the room come to life with words as he kept an eye on everyone's reactions and words. His eyes first strayed to Lady Griffen who he really didnt care for, since she was so close to Ada. Blackwater's got the heart of what Ada wanted smoothly, to watch him fail but he refused to let this fail. Introductions of those he already knew of ensued. He did his research of course before this meeting, knowing what he was walking into. Viatas listened to Othello and understood that this was good news but the instant backlash from another made he resist the urge to purse his lips. He listened to them all speak and thought a moment before speaking. "If there is such an issue for growing in numbers, adopt into the clan. Induct a lower house, make them a vessel, The House of White did this during the war to ensure our numbers stayed true, however lord Blackwater, if you did give a penny to every charity case, they might think better of you." He stated flatly. He knew his house name would keep the back lash off for now but he was sure he could handle himself. "A war isnt ideal, and should be avoided. It's expensive in both lives and money. And yes the big meeting at the end of this week. I for one am looking forward to such a thing." He stated even if most at the table would doubt he would even be allowed in, as a human.

Everyone was watching this human with different intents, as was obvious to Alarik from where he sat. He was not allowed to speak at these meetings unless otherwise spoken to. He watched the way Lady Griffen watched the boy with intent, like a cat who caught a canary. She was sure her station with the House of White would remain as most wouldn't challenge her house. She was from an old bloodline, one that operated in vampire politics since the dawn of their era. They were born leaders and socialites, charged with gathering large meetings, hosting ambassadors, and even training the priestesses that attended the elders. Her house was made up of entirely women, with the odd male servant. Lady and Lord Imprie looked curious of the new face, though Alarik knew them to be flagrant and wordy when drunk. Lord Imprie was a kinder man than his wife who found herself in charge of industry and being involved directly with making sure vampire kind remained relevant in the working world. Lord Blackwater looked less than amused by all this and that he didn't seem to think much of Viatas, but who wouldn't be when he was the lowest clan in attendance and charged with their defenses should war ever be necessary. His clan fought tirelessly and were nearly wiped out as a result. They were given that station as they had a more militaristic clan. Then that left Lady Belmont, who seemed to not care that Viatas was human, only that House of White was informed and involved. She was a shrewd woman, but one of the only people that wouldn't stab you in the back. No, if she was angry with you, she would just bury you in the laws and legislature of the clans. She was even in charge of outreach to the other races and species, but she was slowly shifting that job to Othello. She didn't quite have the tact for that job. And then that left his father, who Alarik was having a harder time reading. He seemed to be watching Viatas's reactions and making small mental notes. Wheels were turning but for what, he couldn't say. After all, his family was second lowest. Not because they tried to be that way. They were just tasked with the...dirtier jobs. The Everleigh clan delt in the dark, seedier businesses that once protected vampire clans when they were in the shadows. Blackmail, bribes, assassinations, organized crime, and even human trade and capture which evolved into the "adoption" system they saw today. Now their businesses relied on the intel and blackmail side of things that kept the werewolves, vampires, and magic users in line. It was a business Alarik did not enjoy and one that his father detested as well. They seemed keen on leaving that life to take over public relations. Lord Everleigh just had to be out of the picture first. Othello's eyes brightened with humor at Viatas's blunt reply to Blackwater but he contained his laugh behind a cough. Lord Blackwater's expression hardened and it looked like he might say something to the child. Instead, Lady Belmont spoke up. "He's much too crass for that. He will continue his patronage as we all have. I will take your idea into consideration and compare it to our Elders' laws on the matter, Viatas. It couldn't hurt to bolster our own numbers with those worthy of the name." Belmont stated frankly before sending a glare to Lord Blackwater. She would not tolerate a lower house verbally or physically attacking the last remaining house of elite status. There were rules to follow and she would keep them. Lord Blackwater sneered at her before turning his attention to something on the opposite wall, obviously seething at being talked down to by a human. "We will need numbers for defense. Especially if the wolves become anymore rabid and the humans begin to see us as weak. Just the other day I saw a report of one attacking an Everleigh in public." Lady Griffen said, the idea sounding vile to her. Alarik frowned at the news but knew all about it. It was why he wasn't allowed to leave yesterday. A spy was caught sniffing around a bar on the east side where apparently a group of werewolves were dealing an illegal substance. The man got into a scuffle with a female wolf that killed the man but not before he gave her a mortal wound. "Our defenses are fine Lady Griffen. Blackwater soldiers are some of the more elite and will be ready to take justice on the mutts if they step a toe out of line. Of course not as elite as the House of White seems to train it's fighting force." Lord Blackwater said, eyeing up Feyra in a manner that was not just admiring her fighting. "The situation with the wolves will be handled at the meeting. I hear tell a representative from the werewolves and magic users will be attending." Lord Imprei's news made Lady Imprei's nose scrunch. "I hope the brutes can control themselves. The last ambassador they sent was such an ill-tempered thing. I will be sure to bring our security incase the dog goes feral." She sniffed and Alarik felt his eyes narrow at the woman. The wolves were only pissed because they were being stepped on. Who wouldn't be less than civil when vampires openly attacked their packs and started rumors and back-alley deals with the humans that ruined the werewolves businesses and relations. "I hear it will be Alpha Remus from the Hunt pack. Seems he will be joined by the Alpha from the Falk pack to discuss a recent attack on their members. Apparently, some smaller clans have started turf arguments with the wolves and have gone as far as to kill a few in a scuffle. The perpetrators were dealt with that were under Clan Everleigh, but it hardly seemed to appease the wolf. We will have to be ready to field their demands as Alpha Remus has a short temper. I suggest approaching him with seriousness and fortitude as flowery language will not appease him." Lord Everleigh stated, looking directly at Viatas for this since his house was seen as the leader. Remus knew that and would be sure to target him with his demands. "What demands? The wolves have their land, jobs, and the freedom to mingle with humans to grow their numbers with halfbreeds. What more could they possibly want?" Lady Griffen scoffed and Othello's eyes narrowed at the woman. "They want equal standing in negotiations, they want equal support for their troubles, they want the chance to set a name for themselves in society. They want recognition as a powerful race of beings that helped us stave off the brunt of human forces when they tried to destroy us. Without the help of the packs, your house wouldn't be standing Lady Griffen, as mine would have fallen as well. To avoid our mutual histories of brutalizing one another into near extinction, shouldn't we strive to support one another and come to a common agreement?" Othello gave her a calm look, even if his words held a bite to them that Lady Griffen obviously did not approve of. "Hah, the clan with the most chaos and trouble coming to agreements in their own household is lecturing us on how to be friendly with mutts. Priceless." Lord Blackwater snickered, making Alarik's eyes narrow with effort not to say something to the man. Othello patted his son on the shoulder before giving Blackwater an unimpressed look. "I can see the irony in that. Yes. A shame one of you couldn't have thought this through. Would have saved me being the brunt of a tasteless joke." He said before Lady Belmont hissed. "Enough arguing like children. I will be the verdict on our relations with these packs." She snarled and the two men seemed to flinch at her anger. She cleared her throat before looking to Viatas again. "In the meantime, we must also turn our attention to the magic users. Their Sorcerer Superior has stated that their people have had a growing number of disappearances linked to the Brotherhood of Light. They are crying witch hunters. Although I have tried reasoning with the human courts they refuse to budge on the cult without proof." "Humans killing other humans? And they called us the savage beasts." Lady Imprie muttered before she drummed her nails on the table. "I will see if my contacts can step in to aid the situation. I do not understand why the wolves don't as they seem to have the best standing with the magic users. Just wipe the whole cult out." Lady Belmont shook her head. "And risk upsetting the humans? They view those heretics as their protection and their leaders are not doing much in the way of stopping them. For now it is a contained problem. The witches and warlocks will come to find a solution soon perhaps..." She said, though her words seemed to hold little hope in that.

Viatas watched the reation and grinned wolfishly. He was enjoying making him feel off his ego boosted game, however he changed his thoughts when they started bashing a party not even present. Viatas watched Alarik's reaction, noticing the frown but didnt speak quite yet, listening for more. His attention shapped to lord Blackeater when he commented on Fey, making him purse his lips. "If your military training was any better I would possibly feel threatened Lord Blackwater. Your family has protected many of our families for generations. However my personal guard is above such observations. Set your eyes on the task before us please." He stated bluntly to make the point that Fey was his and no one Elses. Fey shifted a bit uncomfortable at first but relaxed when V stood up for her. She liked that he had a backbone, even if it got him in trouble. When the werewolves were brought up Fey was listening carefully, her lips twitched to keep a smile at bay when the Hunt pack was brought up, that was Luca's after all. When Othello spoke to him on how to approach the Alpha he listened, since the man seemed to know his topics well. He nodded," Thank you for the advice Lord Everligh. I appreciate it. The Werewolves will behave as they can. They are closer to their beat nature then we are, so they deserve some room to Express their emotions." He stated giving the werewolves a benefit of the doubt. The part about demands however made him listen well, hearing a lot from this one man. He noted that, liking Othello for his knowledge, even at his own person images' expense. "Thank you Othello, I appreciate you input on the werewolves matter, so we might not be blind sided. The brotherhood of light is indeed a threat but one who thinks themself above us. They will be dealt with In time, as all matters. I hope they resolve the murders as well, no one needs to be loosing more family now." He stated sympathetically. His eyes went around the room and landed on Othello before he motioned for Fey. She leaned down into his personal space and listened to his whisper quietly into her ear his want. She gave a small nod before stepping back and giving him that space again. They talked over smaller matters before the meeting was closed. ------- When the meeting was over, Fey left Viatas's side to tell Othello and Alarik to come speak with him afterwards. She quickly returned however as they all said good bye.

The quick dismissal from Viatas and warning about his charge made Lady Griffen's well-plucked brow raise and Lord Blackwater smirk. Seems the boy was possessive of his toys...They would be sure to note that for later... Although the group was hesitant in affording the werewolves any leniency as Viatas stated, the table unanimously understood that the Everleigh had the most to say on the packs and magic users as they gathered that information themselves. Othello gave a nod to Viatas at his thanks and was rather happy to have someone encourage peace before flying off the handle on the wolves. Othello was a proponent for building their relations for the safety of all, even if that earned him odd looks and hateful sneers from others. Lady Belmont was in agreement but the others seemed to be stuck in the archaic ways. Not to mention, Ada White was hardly a person Othello would ever suck up to the way Lady Griffen did. He would rather fight tooth and nail to get what he wanted than subject himself to that demeaning behavior. Lord Everleigh was of a different mindset and Othello knew he would be cross to hear he spoke on such things at the meeting. Thank goodness the man wasn't there or else Lady Griffen would just have another sounding board like the kiss ass Blackwater. "A total defamation of our house to the other clans!" He would snarl and Othello would simply ignore him. The old bat's time was waning and he hardly would allow him to dictate this clan's path much longer. The talks evolved into something more civil over the next hour, talks of finance and clan business that the Imprie very lengthily provided. Alarik could have sworn he even saw Lady Belmont yawn. He tried to pay attention himself, but his mind kept wandering back to Luca and Eli. Did they know about all these problems between their people and his? Would Luca and Eli stop being his friend if the talks went south? He shook the idea off, knowing the wolf wasn't like that and Eli...Eli didn't seem to want to leave. He pushed the thoughts down when his father gave him a nudge to pay more attention. By the time the meeting was over, Lady Griffen gave Viatas a small curtsy and smiled. "Do tell Lord Ada he was missed. I look forward to seeing you at our meeting in the near future, Viatas." She said as a human female in a conservative dress and stepped from the hall to place a fur shawl on Lady Griffen's shoulders. They left in a flurry of skirts and pompous airs that made even Blackwater look tame. "Till the next meeting, Viatas. This was...not entirely unpleasant." He said with a stiff salute to the human before he left with the vampire that Fey had put in his place. Lady and Lord Imprie gave Viatas a similar display to their greeting, Lady Imprie smiling brightly at him. "Very well done! I rather enjoyed this meeting! Do come to our salon next month to mingle. I'm sure we could find a lovely friend for you. Even Lady Griffen admitted I'm quite the matchmaker." She said before she left with her husband, showing who obviously held the reigns in that family. Lady Belmont did stop to observe Fey approaching Othello and Alarik and she stopped to speak with the two before she left. "Do not let The House of White take this agreement from us, Othello. Ada will not side with us but perhaps the boy might for the forseeable future. I fully intend to see the next war eradicated before we're decimated." She said giving the man a softer look before she left, stopping to bow to Viatas and left. Othello sighed before he smiled down at his son. "See? Not so bad for your first house meeting." He said and Alarik gave a small purse of his lips. "Except the flagrant words they used to describe our allies...Why do we even parle with them Father?" He asked softly making Othello pat his head gently. "Because, my son, they hold the power we need for survival. Our clan would not surive without these people and their secrets that we get to extort...now we have to speak with Viatas, your new friend perhaps?" Othello asked with a curiousity that hinted he hadn't expected Alarik to approach a White. Alarik gave a shake of his head, not calling Viatas a friend because he didn't know him that well. "No no, he knows a friend of a friend. We met at breakfast this morning." He filled in as they walked over to Viatas and Fey. Alarik gave Fey a small wave that was curbed by his father giving him a 'that's not social etiquette' look. Othello looked to Viatas and gave a small bow. "I appreciate you asking us to speak after the meeting, Viatas. Though I must admit I'm a little surprised. It is not often Clan Everleigh gets the opportunity to speak with the House of White. Not unless there are talks of business is to be had." He was perhaps warning the boy that Ada was a hard man to get along with if you didn't kiss his boot. Othello did his share of appeasing the man, but he was not going to lie to the man and make it sound like their houses were close. Only when the man needed blackmail or some kind of problem taken care of. Otherwise, Othello kept to himself. He hoped that wouldn't be the case with this boy, but he still had years for Ada to warp him yet...

When Othello and Alarik approached he bowed lightly with a smile, Fey was still watching the room. "No no, come, Alarik is a friend of my closest friend. So I will trust in him a bit more. She is good with judging others." He stated smoothly,as he cast a small look at Fey. He smiled before looking at Othello. "I have to agree with your earlier sayings. I enjoyed a refreshing point of view. My father Ada will be abdicating his seat soon. So I do hope we can get along? Forge new alliances?" He asked quietly extending his hand to Othello since he was more or less the new head of house, cause the stuffy old vampire didnt show. ------ The man looked over the request to speak that evening, it had been from the human. Not Ada, even that idiot didn't try the Elder's patients. She had a temper that could flip in a second, and he would barely be able to save a vampire- a human would be dead. The request was marked as urgent for when he returned so be assumed this was a power struggle notice or some thing of the sort. He and Annabella bad been friends for centuries, however it was nearing his own time to be locked away, but he stayed around to keep Annabella safe and sound. She was completly out of her mind but she had at one time been a great leader, glorious in the wars. Those were the many years of his life he flourished. He was the husband to the House of White's bloody queen, none stood in their way, and they were powerful. Now things were different, more calm and more about talking. His wife was crazy and delusional, locked away from the world for its saftey, while he stayed with her to keep her company till they both perished. Jeremiah thought it was a good plan for his death but this human...he was very ambitious...almost made him curious... Othello’s eyes widened some in surprise as Alarik was called a friend and Viatas even said that he trusted this friend’s judgement. That explained the wave to the guard. He glanced to his son who was smiling at Viatas. Seems Alarik did actually enjoy the man even if he appeared awfully young. Othello felt like he could at least humor the boy. After all, he had been around long enough to know there wasn’t an opportunity to squander in business, no matter how far fetched it appeared. He listened to him talk about Ada abdicating and it showed on his face that he found that surprising if not strange. The man was clear that enjoyed power, like Lord Everleigh, and would perhaps go until the council made him step down. Couldn’t have someone approaching their elder stages as a house lord. That was why their retirement period was given, free of conflict and free of strife. They lived out their days until the vampire disease addled their brains and drove them into a more feral state, drunk on their own power. Othello had never seen their elder Byron Everleigh and didn’t want to. The man was said to only be consoled by his priestess that tended to him and the woman herself was a bit out of it. He stayed locked away in his wing of the home and Othello agreed it was for the best till the disease killed him. The offer of alliance was unexpected, but Othello weighed his options. Lord Everleigh would never pass up an opportunity to be in the house of white’s good favor and Othello would be more favored by the clan if he showed that ability to make these alliances. Not to mention, the boy, no matter how young he appeared to be, was going to be their new leader and already showed a promising restraint he had only found in the shrewd Lady Belmont. This bode well for their future alliance. “Of course I accept.” He said, taking Viatas’s hand in a firm but not constricting grip. “I’ll just trust that you meant your words today...we haven’t had a person willing to do the right thing in a very long time.” He said since the war was the last time anyone had ever seen a vampire cross party lines to help others and she had died for it.
