Luca wasn’t sure why she was so nervous about giving the camera a try. Mostly because he was always a curious person and tended to jump head first into things instead of thinking about it. After all, he got into photography because he found the idea amazing when he came to the city. He came from a world of limited to no technology to suddenly technology overload. At first it had been frightening and strange, but Luca was determined to figure it all out. His brother had tried to expose him to everything as much as possible so he didn’t feel so isolated, including photos of people in the pack. He liked seeing these people and places preserved forever in a physical and digital form that let their memory survive long after they didn’t. It was something he wished he would have had to preserve his pack before they were all gone. Since then he had bought an old camera off an older wolf and learned how to use it. The job with the newspaper had been from his own tenacity and work, even if his father disapproved. When she agreed to give it a try, he gave a small nod. “No pressure. It’s digital with a pretty big storage and is pretty durable as long as you don’t try to do battle with it. Just don’t drop the lens and we’ll be Gucci.” He said with a half smile since the camera was low key worth more than his monthly salary because of the lenses. He earned every penny that went into it, but he was willing to let her try with a caring hand to dive for the camera if it did drop. He knew he had gotten more personal than he should have, but he felt like it was bothering him. He wanted to know her take on things since she was the one in that house. If it didn’t bother her and she wasn’t in danger, he wouldn’t harp on it. He understood they came from different worlds, but he did want her to enjoy this life she had. You only got one after all, even if his was more limited than her’s. Her news of wanting a photo album when she changed made him give a softer smile. “I think that’s an awesome idea, Fey. A promotion present then?” He said even if it felt odd, since he was sure that meant when she became a vampire. “I can hold onto any photos you want to take in the meantime. The pack doesn’t care really what I have as long as it doesn’t affect my other duties to the pack.” He shrugged since everything affected his pack duties at this point because he didn’t want them and refused to put up with them. Lupin was there for that.

Af the comment of doing battle with the camera she rose a brow. 'A camera wasnt a weapon.' She though since it could only be used perhaps as a bludgeoning tool but it wouldnt be durable. At the words of not dropping the lens she nodded since she knew nothing if cameras, best not break it. When he said her want was a good idea she smiled happily, since she looked how they agreed on a lot of things. "I'm glad, im not sure it's a promotion per say but it is for the House. I'm more excited about the photo album then I am a promotion honestly. " she explained since she was looking forward to the beautiful slashes of color. When he said he could hold on to them for her she grinned," Thanks Luca. Gives me more excuses to come hang out and pick out pretty pictures." She stated a teasing tone on the edge of her words. She was happy, even happier when their food arrived. She ate with some grace but still ate quickly, eating everything. Afterwards she looked satisfied as she patted her tight core in the dress. She knew she would be fine, but her stomach was full and happy. "That was delicious." She practically purred as she sipped a bit more of her fourth glass of sweet tea.

Luca wondered if she really wanted this vampire transformation when she said things like this. Maybe—just maybe—she could find another life if she didn’t want to live in this restrictive House of White. He almost wanted to ask but knew it wasn’t his place. He didn’t know this girl like that and didn’t have the right to really ask her that. The most he could do was help her make this album and make sure she got to keep it and fill it with beautiful photos. “Well then. I’ll make sure the photos are perfect then.” He said with a smile before he gave her a small smile at the news that she had an excuse now to hang out more. “No excuse needed. We can can hang out anytime if we’re both free.” He said since it was true. He liked hanging out with her and liked that she seemed like a genuinely good person. He had few genuine friends left in this world and wasn’t afraid to find more. When the food came, he tucked into his steak and ate every bit of it. He liked that she seemed to enjoy her meal as well and it was nice to see she wasn’t shy about it. Some girls got all nervous about enjoying food. Luca definitely loved food enough to not mind someone else enjoying food. “Glad you like it. I tried this place when I was a kid, after I came to live with my father’s pack. He thought it would be a good way to introduce me to city pack life. It was my favorite, especially since there weren’t places like this in Siberia.” He said before he motioned for the waiter to come over. When he saw the amount, he slipped cash inside before getting up and offering to pull out her chair. “So off to the museum then. I’ll have to get us badges for the press tickets. It gives us a special walkthrough with fewer people to make sure we can get the photos we need.” He said, giving he a small smile and gesturing to the door. When they made it back to his car, he drove to the museum about a block away and parked easily due to the museum expecting them. He finessed that Fey was a model for the photos and was easily given the access passes he needed to be sure he got the work done for Sadie. Luca checked the settings on his camera as the curator led them to the first exhibit hall, a beautiful room with a tree in the center and photos of plants handing from it. Along the walls was a projected image of a painting of a flowery field that moved and interacted as if real and alive, like they were in the painting itself. The curator left after answering some of Luca’s questions about the exhibit. It seemed the artist wanted to emulate the four seasons through different galleries of objects and beautiful scenery to make the experience like the people were a part of the art. Luca liked the idea and was wondering what Fey thought of it all. He could even feel a breeze with the scent of fresh grass pass through the room, no doubt triggered by a motion sensor in the room as they walked through. “Hey Fey, mind actually modeling a photo for me? Would you mind standing by that tree there? Look like your admiring a photo there of the flower,” He asked, pulling up the camera and tapping it to show her what he had in mind. He wanted to get a photo of her amongst the flowers and moving imagery since it could make for a pretty photo of her.

Fey nodded when he said he had to get special press passes and she nodded. Following him back out side they slipped into the car, anxious to see the museum. She hung back a little when he went to get the passes hut felt the man behind the counter give her a good long look, but what ever happened- Luca got the passes. She took her pass and followed along listening to the curator chatter a bit as Luca messed with his camera. When they came into the first room her eyes went wide, her feet stopped moving as she looked at everything around her. The beautiful tree with pretty flower pictures around hanging from their branches, and the mural in the back of the room, shifting a a breeze she could feel brushing her leg. She seemed lost but in a good way if anyone were to look at her, she found his stunning. She hadnt been paying attention to what Luca was asking about much less heard him speaking as she had already moved into the room and was admiring a beautiful pink petaled flower that grew from a tree, well the image anyhow. It looked so pretty. She did look in his direction after a minute thought, looking a little thoughtful. "What did you say Luca?" Shw asked, her voice sounding soft since she felt unsure of he had spoken to her or not. Leave it to her to cause problems cause she didnt pay attention. She flushed a little before wondering if she did something wrong. -------- Ada was scowling as he looked at the paper summons in his hand from Jeremiah. He seemed to think that since he was married to the old head of house he had any say in things. He of course insisted his entire guard accompany him to the older wing of the manor, for his safety, of course. Boots stomping as they proceeded down the hallway to the old sector only to be greeted by a note on the door. 'Go sit In the parlor' was scribed neatly and with a distinct flourish, that was his mothers. He froze a moment, he didnt know mother was involved with this little...get together... He made his guard stay in the hall, his personal guard with him, at the ready. Ada had had a...falling out with his mother not long after she was retired... he shifted nervously as he waited however it seemed like a while before Jeremiah came in the door looking pleased as could be to see Ada there. "Oh, welcome. Your mother will be pleased to see you here shortly, she is just waking up." He stated when it was the middle of the night and she had been up all day as well, no doubt. Ada could hear a few movements in the hallway but ignored it since little was to be done if it were mother.

Luca hadn’t noticed her zoning out till he spoke and she didn’t respond. He opened his mouth to ask her again, but stopped himself when he realized what was going on. Fey seemed entranced by the room, like the colors and pieces seemed to pull her in. And she looked like she fit there among the flowers. Her paleness allowed the pretty colors bouncing and cascading from the artwork and lights to put a glow on her. It made Luca pause—him of all people—to admire her. He pulled up his camera, getting it focused and set to the proper lighting and distance before he started snapping photos of her just looking at the exhibit. When she instinctively moved to the shot he asked for, a smile crept on his lips as he waited for the perfect moment. When he snapped the photo, it seemed her attention came back and he got a photo of her looking surprised and shyly at him. He let the camera hang from the strap on his neck before walking over to the photo she was admiring. “Oh I was just wondering what you thought of this room. Also I got some pretty awesome shots of you. You’d make one hell of a model.” He said in a before he got a funny look from a security guard that saw her pass said “Model”. He gave a sheepish smile before he held up the camera to show her what he took. “Would you mind if I used some of the shots of you in the article? I think they would look amazing but I get it if you’re not cool with it.” He asked her, not minding that he had to lean awfully close to her due to his height, but giving her enough space that she could feel comfortable. He felt another breeze pass by and his eyes flicked to the field mural, watching as the flowers and grasses swayed. He almost felt like he could run out into that field, but knew if he tried it would be a rude surprise when he hit the concrete wall. It was screwing with his more baser animal instincts, but he was in control. With a sigh he rolled his shoulders to shake the feelings of longing his wolf felt. He hadn’t changed in a while and he missed that feeling of being connected to the nature around him. But there were rules city wolves had to adhere to and he disliked most of them. Luca got over it as a child who had been scolded one too many times, but it still made this place still feel less like home.

When Luca said that she would have a good model about shook her head. "I'm not much for that kind of stuff, I like to look at models though, so pretty." She said obviously having no self esteem for that line of work, even if she knew she was pretty fit, and wasnt bad to look at. When he got closer she angled herself to be more open in conversation however his question made her pause. 'Shots of you'... 'you would make one hell of a model'... She seemed to be processing a moment before her cheeks burned pink. "You took pictures of me?" She asked sounding shy again, wondering if they would be any good with her in them. She watched her shift a bit to look st the waving grains and grasses on the wall and heard his soft sigh. It sounded so...sad, longing almost- she knew that feeling. She instantly did something she felt he needed since when she sounded like that she wanted it. She stepped a bit more into his space and wrapped her arms around his torso softly, giving him a hug. Her head resting on his chest a brief moment or so before she pulled away. "You sounded so sad." She explained her actions but didnt seem sorry about them in the slightest. "I dont mind you using the photos at all, maybe just dont put my name, The House of White wont like it much, even if V dosent care." She giggled. Giving him a soft smile,"this exhibit is stunning though, thank you for bringing me along." She looked absolutly pleased to be there, even in the personal space of a werewolf. ----- When the door opened his mother strolled into the room, her smaller frame dragging a large, now very dead vampire, behind her. 'Well there goes my guard.' Ada frowned in thought before he stood and smile at his mother. "Hello, mother. You asked for me?" He asked very formally and politely, a tone none had ever heard Ada use since he ascended to the head of the house. She gave him a bloody smile before cocking her head to the side to glance at her husband who gave her a devilish smile. "Greetings my love. I'm glad you came to join us." He purred as he held out a hand for the Elder, she easily came forward to take it- trusting her bond mate. She took his hands delicately, blood smearing on their pale fingers as he moved her to sit next to him, practically tucking her into his side there on the couch. Her eyes stayed on Jeremiah for a few moments before she snaked a thin hand to his jaw, bringing his attention fully to her. He gave her a soft kiss on the lips, seeming to have forgotten Ada was even present. Ada cleared his throat almost in a rude manner, making his mothers' almost golden rust colored eyes land on him, making him stiffen. "Oh yes, that little thing I wanted to discuss with you...or was it the other more squishy one?" She suddenly asked sounding confused. Ada rose a brow," whom else are you referring to mother?" She looked to Jeremiah for an answer and he grinned before giving her fore head a kiss. "Ada was part of the agreement, the other squishy one is the deal maker." He explained getting her to nod before turning her eerie eyes back to Ada.

Luca raised a brow when she got all red that he took a picture of her. Well, he should have expected that reaction from her after she admitted her self esteem was too low for modeling. He didn’t feel that she had anything to worry about. She was honestly very pretty, but he couldn’t make her see that. So he would just have to show her in the post with getting the best photo of her. He hadn’t expected her to notice his slight mood change, since he was sure it must have been odd surrounding all this beauty. But instead, it seemed she did notice. Luca felt a grip go around him, one that was comforting instead of restrictive. He felt his senses get jump started by the touch, his skin taking in the warmth and pressure while his nose was filled with her spicy scent that was mixed with something sweet. His eyes flicked down to her, his surprise showing as he tried to understand the casual hug and why she would lay hands on him. Wolves were touchy with their packs, but outsiders were regarded as strangers and hardly were allowed in a wolf’s personal space unless there was trust or a confrontation between them. But with this hug from Fey, Luca felt it touch that part of him that longed for home. It was warm, soft, and...nice. He let her pull away, his lips pulling into a softer, more sheepish smile at her touch. When she said he sounded sad, he actually blushed some. He hadn’t meant to show that kind of emotion in front of her when he was genuinely there to have fun. “Ah...Sorry it wasn’t sad—more a little homesick is all. We like open spaces. Not a lot of those in a city.” He said before brightening his expression. “Thank you though...” He nodded along excitedly when she said he could use the photos. “Awesome! I have a few cute ones but I want to be sure I get the best. You’ll have your house swooning in sheer awe of how amazing they’ll look.” He said with enthusiasm, determined to make sure he showed he was having a great time with her. “And this isn’t even the only part. Come on.” He gestured ahead and walked with her, snapping a few photos to be sure he had the lighting settings right as they walked. They made it to a hallway where more trees were there but these had sculptures carved into the bark. From the branches hung glass fruits that caught stage lights to cast mosaics on the wall. “I think this is getting into summer.” He whispered to her since there was a couple there taking a photo next to a tree carved to look like two lovers in an embrace. He didn’t want to disturb them and besides he was enjoying time with Fey too much to want her attention anywhere else but on the exhibit. When they made it to the next room, it was obvious they were going for a scene of enjoyment as this was a painting of a park mural that was moving around them. In the center was a water pool with strange contraptions rigged to it. They looked like hand sensors tied to the scenery. He watched a man walk over to the hand sensor and touch it lightly as if unsure. The pulse, like that of a heart beat, thrummed overhead and the scene began to move. Due to the calmness of his heart beat, the water only ripples slightly, causing the scene around them to stir with the looks of wind and a few clouds. When he pulled away and continued on, Luca gave Fey an excited smile. “I think it uses your pulse for the weather. Kinda how summer is wild right? I’m going to give it a try!” He went to the hand sensor and pressed his hand on it. His racing pulse could be heard over the speaker and suddenly the scene began shifting as a thunderstorm seemed to roll in. Luca could almost feel the rain on his skin and static charge as his excitement and quick heart beat as an animal drove a thunderstorm in. It made him give an excited laugh before he pulled his hand away and gestured to Fey. “Come on! Try it out Fey!” He said, offering his hand out to her’s to get her closer.

She watched his cheeks flush red with a grin as he explained his sad tone before. She nodded since she could understand that. Even if she herself wasnt able to understand where she came from anymore. She shook her head at his humor about the House of White 'swooning'... like that would ever happen. When he mentioned more to the exhibit she followed along closely. When he announced that the next exhibit was summer she looked down from the glass fruit she had been admiring in the hall. They moved into the next room and watched as a man attempted the water button of sorts. She watched the picture stir and listened to Luca but was supprised when he was anxious to try it. As his hand hit the water, she heard a thundering heart beat and the weather turned suddenly. As the weather was still thundering and Luca encouraged her she nodded before putting a hand lightly in his and the other into the water. The static feeling cleared up and there was a soft rain, the sky was barely covered with clouds after a moment but she was too busy looking at the picture to move her hand. The light rain in the image cleared to show a pretty almost sparkling landscaped park, even a deer! She was more excited about the deer as she pulled her hand from the water to point it out to Luca. It was probably th childish but she was rather enjoying herself. °~~~°~~~°~~~° The body gave a softened thump onto the carpeted floor in the parlor, body so pale and lacking in blood the skin was translucent, seeing some organs and all the now black and collapsed blood vessels and veins. Empty, dead milky red eyes, barely a flake of gold left, watching the ceiling as the last bit of brain functionality pulsed one last time. Annabelle gave a small sigh before crossing the space to sit in Jeremiah's lap like a pleased cat. "They never have enough." She expressed with a huff getting a grin from her husband. "Indeed my love." He cood to her to keep her calm and quiet. The night progressed smoothly however when the house began waking up and Ada wasnt to be found things got a bit....dark. Sitting at the head of the table was Jeremiah, grinning like a cat. "Greetings children of the House of White. As you should know I am Jeremiah, husband and care taker of the Elder. Our dear sweet Ada had unfortunately passed awaylast night, so until I can bring up the replacement- I am in charge. But please dont panic. I wont change any rules, or places- I'm just here to supervise." He stated finally. Everyone starting to panic kn the low key, however they remained seated until Jeremiah told them to have some one come investigate the murder because several house members demanded it so. They benefited from Ada's ways, with him gone- they couldnt. Viatas was smirking at Jeremiah from the other end of the table, it felt good to have that bastard gone finally. The house had to be prepared before any one could even come in to investigate however. They ordered massive amounts of white flowers to decorate the house with. Mostly to show a funeral rite to Ada, well his passing. The house was inspected for other such deaths, as was requested by Viatas. Finding most of the old guard dead as well. 'Seems Ada was playing hard to get.' He thought to himself as he moved through the house at the early morning, he had in fact sent Fey out on purpose, thankfully she listened and was out well past her usual.he wasnt about to bother her either, that wasnt part of his plan. He did something not usual however he placed a call to a witch, one that was good at looking into these sorts of things. He also contacted Othello and Alarik via a quick memo, well they were first, the others got a formal email that was informative to say the least... imgur.com/gallery/K395GL0

Luca watched the scene change and he couldn’t help that the image of the beautiful, sunny day made him smile. It was interesting to see such a quiet girl who appeared so cold had this kind of warmth to her. He felt his animal instincts ping in on the deer and had his ears been out he was sure they would have come forward to listen for the deers heart beat that wouldn’t be there, his tail wagging in anticipation on the hunt. He ignored that side and admired the deer as Fey began pointing at it. He caught himself admiring how she looked so happy in the sunshine and went for his camera. He snapped a quick picture of her before just watching her organically for what she did. “I love how you got the sunshine. It looks amazing in here.” He said before tapping the camera. “I want to get another shot if that’s cool. Just be natural.” He said, hoping that was enough for her to just relax and go with the flow. ~~~ The memo came in as the family was sitting in a meeting with some of the lower members of the household. Most of those in the house with standing were in attendance, including Alarik and Othello. Lord Everleigh saw to the meeting, presiding over it with a face of dull disinterest as the team leader for a group of their spies went over petty information they had gained for Lady Griffin. Seems she was worried about one of her ladies speaking ill of her at a salon. Rightfully so. Seems the woman was keen on sharing quite a few details of Lady Griffin’s life with only some pushing from the alcohol. Before he could finish, Erika opened the door and walked her way to Othello. She leaned in his ear, drawing a shocked look from the man as he looked down at his phone that she held. Lord Everleigh looked annoyed at not being spoken to first, so Othello rose to address the room. “Well, it appears Lord Ada White has perished in a horrible turn of events. May he rest peacefully.” The room erupted into shock, especially those lower household members in charge of their spy rings. They should have seen a murder plot coming, but instead there was no news, no warning. Ada was just gone. Lord Everleigh dismisses the room with a snarled order of displeasure that sent vampires scrambling out. You didn’t want to become target practice when Lord Everleigh got angry. When the room cleared except for Lord Everleigh, Othello, Alarik, and Erika, the head of the house gave an angry roar. “This is your fault.” He snapped at Othello who looked unimpressed by his father’s anger. “Mine? I didn’t kill the bastard myself.” His nonchalant tone made Lord Everleigh’s eyes almost glow with fury. “We should have know about this plot. No vampire just dies! We should have been informed. It’s our jobs to be before everyone in knowledge. To protect these houses. We look incompetent!” He slammed a fist on the table, causing it to crack under his anger. Alarik tensed, but secretly felt relief. He had heard the stories of Ada from Viatas and Fey. They sounded miserable under that evil man. “Then we will ask for the cause of death from our informants at the police station. We will be sure it is investigated to its fullest. Not that it matters. The new head of household is truly what matters.” Erika stayed and Othello nodded. “Exactly. Our alliance with The House of White May come to fruition yet.” He said rather smuggly as he looked to his father. The man had scolded him for interfering and speaking to the human. He called it disgraceful. Well, it now seemed this human was quickly on his way to being the youngest head of a household since the times of the Ancients. ~~~ Lilura awoke to the sound of her work phone ringing. The shrill sound woke her from a nightmare fueled sleep, one where the ghost of an old man was trying to show her something. She got these dreams usually when spirits tried to contact her through the spirit realm. She ignored them for the most part as she would be solving cases till she was dead if she took everyone a ghost showed her. She needed another potion to close herself off from that realm...but it seemed it wasn’t to be. She was on a new case and would need her powers for it. This time, it was a personal call made to the police sector from a very wealthy vampire house. Seems their leader had died and they wanted answers. She never understood the vampire hierarchies or cared to. They all were a bunch of petulant immortal children with a fixation on power and control. It made her wary to be around them as a human, since their thirst could drive them to attack people if you weren’t careful. As civilized as they pretended to be, they were really predators at heart, only a step above the wolves. She didn’t hate them. She just respectfully feared them enough to know one could kill her like squashing a big. Besides, witches and warlocks were paranoid by nature. They weren’t stronger or smarter than your average human. They weren’t immortal or all powerful either. They just had a bloodborn connection to spiritual power through mediums and ley lines that came from giving your soul to a demon. These demons acted as the catalyst and conduits of their abilities, while the powers then were filtered to them to cast the spell. She could get killed just as easily wandering into a vampire den just as quickly as any human could. She had to go prepared. The items she gathered were for her simple communing ritual as well as a quick parcel of a sunlight spell, hidden in a small ring gem. A quick snap of the gem would give her a barrier long enough to get a running start out of there if she needed it. Finally, she also put on a necklace she had from the time she was a child. It was a strange runic charm that was carved on a silver coin that was found hanging around her neck as a baby. The orphanage let her keep it since no one knew what it stood for. Not even her research at the school had turned up anything. All she knew was that it was a symbol of faith for her, something she believed was meant to protect her with her whole heart. After all, it wasn’t the actual religious iconography that repelled vampires but the belief behind it. Believe enough in something’s ability to protect and anyone with enough will could at least the repel the creature long enough to curb an initial bite. It wouldn’t last long, but it would last her long enough to run. She left her apartment with Korro on her shoulder, the raven muttering how dumb this was the whole way there. When they arrived at the home, Lilura was paged in by a guard at the gate and led to stand guarded in the entry way. That was protocol apparently till a head of the household could greet her. They didn’t want a strange human witch wandering their halls. She was shocked by the sheer size of the home, especially the sight of white flowers by the car load being trucked in by busy staff. ‘I hope they haven’t touched the body...’ she thought as she watched all these people milling about and wondered if any had messed with evidence. “We will be able to speak to the body with a conduit ...his death was fresh.” Korro hissed to her, even though it sounded like a loud squawk to others. People looked unnerved by the raven with red eyes squawking in their halls, especially by the pale woman with white hair and grey eyes that looked like she was tense. She found it strange how everyone there was pale like her, but her’s was caused by the death Magics she used. Theirs was hereditary, all albinism in this household. It was strange if not a bit unnerving to see so many people who all looked so alike.

She rose a brow at his words but nodded since she felt she could ignore Luca a few minutes so he could work. She skipped up to the wall and looked at the trees, glancing over at the deer with a giggle since it was looking in her direction. The sky was clear and blue after another moment, a lite breeze passing through the room, stirring her hair. It felt nice. She smiled softly before pushing some hair behind her ear and glancing at Luca. She wondered if he was done yet. That was until she saw something she thought would make a pretty picture. "Luca, would you mind if I took a picture?" She called over to him softly wondering if that was okay. °~~~°~~~°~~~°~~~° Viatas had been questioned all morning and was mildly agitated because of it however when Jeremiah came into the room and shooed the police office off he looked a little greatful. "Your little investigator toy has arrived, with a pretty bird. She needs to speak with you I'm sure before she goes to the body. I need to attend to my Annabelle, she has been with out me a short while." He stated before simply leaving the room since none were sane and higher then he was currently. He headed down into the main lobby, wearing the traditional all white robe of the head of house ans gave the pale girl a smile. She almost fit in, that was a funny idea. "Greetings, I am Viatas, soon to be Head of the House of White. I'm sorry we need your services but my father seems to have died." He stated bluntly to this woman who he assumed by her shifting feet she wasnt comfortable. He flashes her a smile to show his teeth werent sharp, he was human still. " Rest assured, no harm will come to you here. You have my and Lord Jeremiah's words." He explained as Mina came marching into the the hall, since in Fey's absence, he called her in. She looked flustered but attentive. Giving a bow to the girl and to Viatas. "My lord?" She questioned as if she needed attention. "Come along, we must go see Ada. " He explained however looked at the girl. "Please, feel free to ask what ever you need." He explained as they walked. The hall old fashioned but bright with lights and candles, the place spotless and smelling of Rose's. As they got closer to the older wing of the home it was much more obvious by the darker areas, though still clean. When they approached a door four guards were dead and wrapped up in linen blankets to cover the bodies. Viatas stopped for her to look of she liked. "All these bodies are guards, they wre bitten- probably by the House Elder not drained however." He explained before opening the salon door and there was a small woman, pale as silver sitting with Jeremiah having blood laced tea. He rose a brow at them before shrugging as if he had seemingly forgotten Ada's body on the floor between the table and the couch just across from him. Mina and Viatas bowed deeply to the woman whose eyes were veiled, even if the pale gold that looked like rust showed through the black fabric. "Greeting my children, guest, and demon." She stated smoothly before sipping her tea, it looking almost black compared to her. Jeremiah rose a brow but eventually chuckled at the woman who was human. "Nice charms witch. Have no fear, I have my wife, no harm will come to you." He explained as Annabelle was starting to yawn and curl up by her husband to nap it seemed. Luca snapped a picture of two of the room, especially of Fey just wandering the room. He was mid working on getting one of the deer when he heard her ask him about taking a picture. His blue eyes peeked over the camera, a smile pulling at the corners of his mouth. He was glad she wanted to try it out and didn't mind it. At this point, these photos were just for fun and he had a few he could use for the article. "Sure. Knock yourself out." He slipped the camera from around his neck and went over to her to show her the basics. He placed the camera in her hands and moved her hands to put a good, steady grip on the camera. "Okay, let me show you some simple stuff. This here is the focus. It's just this little dial that you move until the picture isn't blurry. I already messed with the lighting and the focus so it should all come out fine if you just snap the photo. If not, that's the dial to use. And this here is the button you use to take the photo. All the other stuff is if you want to toggle the lighting or change the foreground and background of the image. I'm going to leave that lesson for day 2." He chuckled since he enjoyed showing off his hobby to a friend that seemed willing to give it a try. "Otherwise, go for it. I'll let the artist work." He said shoving his hands in his pockets and turning his attention to the scenery, even if he was watching her from the corner of his eyes. He was curious about what she was going to do but didn't want to intimidate her by staring. ~~~ Lilura's eyes landed on the skinny human male, well placed as human due to his fangless smile. She tried to read his movements, his posture, his expression. Anything that might lead to a cause for him to harm his 'father'. She knew the story behind vampires getting their members from these adoptions. It hardly seemed like the way to build true families of bonds between people. Which was why she guessed he wasn't all that bothered or alarmed by this man's death. Either way, it seemed he would be the one she was working with... "Detective Lilura. I hear you were already questioned by the police. So I will keep my questions to a minimum." She said her piece then kept her mouth shut as the boy talked, her eyes watching him as were her bird's. The reassurance was nice, but Lilura would be sure to keep her charms handy just in case. She followed along behind this Viatas and his guard, watching the room for any signs of strange happenings. No one seemed out of place or out of the ordinary so that took suspicious character witnesses out of the picture. When they reached the door with the dead people, her eyes narrowed some at the bodies. Well, there were her witnesses. When Viatas offered her a chance to look, she took it and knelt by the bodies, checking under the sheets at the injuries. Korro stopped his squawking and his feather's sleeked as he shimmied closer to Viatas from his perch on Lilura, keeping red-eye trained on him. "This one doesn't smell of death but the air of death surrounds him. A close loss perhaps... Strange." He clucked, making Lilura give Korro a harsh look since he was interrupting the quiet. She closed her eyes and touched one of the dead men's faces as her eyes turned a milky white. A pain instantly hit her throat, a quick and decisive pain that made her body feel cold. She quickly with a shudder, knowing that this one had died from having his trachea shattered from a heavy bite to the throat. She got up and followed him into the room and blinked at the smell of death in the air that made even Korro bristle. It hit her like a brick to the face and she could feel this energy in the room buzzing like a live wire against her skin. The sick part was it wasn't coming from the body. It was coming from the veiled woman on the couch. Lilura had seen this before with vampires and knew what it somewhat meant. Older vampires were close to death themselves and driven to madness by their immense power. Furthermore, they fed on life energy and when a vampire fed it translated to a strong powerful energy pull from them. This woman was like a vortex in a room full of ants. It frightened Lilura, who swallowed hard and averted her eyes from the creature. Instead, her eyes fell on the man next to her, an equally old vampire by the feel of him, even if the greeting from the woman made Korro give a croaking caw at the woman. "She will be collected soon." He chuckled and Lilura knew that soon to a demon centuries old meant either days from now or years or a millennium. His concept of time on death was irrelevant since he always collected when the time was necessary. "Good evening, ma'am." She said, even if the words were soft. Lilura's lips quirked into a very light half smile when Jeremiah, she presumed, called her out on her charms. "Simple protections I carry for the occasion no one likes my verdict. I'm sure you understand." She said to the man before she looked at Ada's body. "I presume this is Ada?" She walked over to the body, letting Korro flutter down beside it. However, his little raven feet carried him hopping towards a chair where he seemed keen looking. Must have been where the victim was seated. He was on the ground, lacerations around his neck, his blood completely drained and the signs of organ death and draining there underneath his ghastly pale skin. The sight made Lilura's stomach clench but she kept the contents of her stomach down. Wasn't much there but Ramen anyways... "To get a picture of Ada before I speak to him, tell me a bit about him." She looked around the room at everyone there before her eyes landed on Viatas who looked poised and hardly the weeping son. She wasn't particularly pinning it on him but he seemed to have the most to gain out of this. After all, he was next in line. And nine times out of ten the killer knew the victim intimately. "Viatas, you don't seem particularly upset by this...tell me about your relationship?" She asked equally blunt since it was late for her and she wasn't one to beat around the bush. She then looked to Mina, a guard who would know what was going on that night. "And you, do you know why he was left with only four guards? Seems awfully low for a head of household coming up to face with--" She looked to the veiled woman and swallowed hard. "No offense but your wife is not someone to be trifled with. Are you ma'am?" She said but the question was rhetorical since she knew the answer. "Only a moron would walk into a room without something of a buffer between them and her." She said before looking to Jeremiah. "Unless I'm missing a vampire custom here... I heard tell from other cases that Elders usually stayed in another wing of the home for their protection and the house's. The clean wounds with no sign of a struggle--I mean this room is pristine-- and the fact he was this far from the main portion of the house leads me to believe he was caught off guard and he was brought here. Do you know why, Lord Jeremiah?" She asked Jeremiah since he seemed to be the man in charge and she wanted their side's of the story before she asked the corpse what it saw. Honestly, this looked open and shut. The Elder killed the guards then killed Ada. But why? She knew they were not in their right mind but this seemed so careless for a house to allow their leader to be eaten by an Elder. Why would anyone let that happen without cause? A problem had to have been there and she was sure the Elder in its crazy mind didn't concoct it. Something wasn't right and even Korro knew it. She could feel his bullshit detector energy coming from his frame. This would be hard, but she was willing to see into this further if need be. She knew there wasn't much she could do if it truly was the Elder that killed him and this was an accident but she had her doubts she was the only one involved.

She let him show her how to use the device and was glad it could perhaps capture what she had glimpsed. It was a pretty picture, to her at least, and wanted to share what she had caught. Leaning over a bit and moving the dials delicately she adjusted it just right and moved a few steps over to her left to correct the lighting. It was simple and pretty. One of the exhibits potted plants had a weed in it, a dandelion, however it was the puff ball seed part. What made it so pretty for her was the dripping condensation from the air conditioner above that hit it just right. It was pretty. After she snapped it she gave herself a smile, then went back over to Luca to hand the camera back. "Okay, that wasnt so hard." Shw said with a grin since after a but of tinkering with it, and his explanation the tool wasnt so intimidating. Photo: pin.it/lyckb23yuzkldt°~~~°~~~°~~~°~~~° Viatas waited till he was addressed, in this case it was while Ada's body was being examined. He rose a brow when asked about Ada. "He was a weak, power hungry, control freak. Loved punishing others, and making them feel less then himself. I wont lie and say there was any love loat with his death. He and I never got along." He explained smoothly getting a chuckle from the Elder. "Ada was my son, adopted. Calculating, everything was a game for a bit. He liked winning, always, and he hated people who had more talent then himself." She spoke softly to the girl since she didnt mind her, she looked like she belonged well enough here, pale and white hair- she would allow it. Jeremiah gave the woman a grin. "He was a complete and insufferable man. Hated bowing to others, always had. I'm his father In a way. This splendid woman is my wife after all. He really harbored a Hatred for me since I got his mothers' attention more often." He said slyly before a seemingly small smack to the chest from the girl- seemed to have been underestimated. When her small hand made contact- he was shoved backwards hard, hard enough to shift the couch a bit. "We have company be polite." She chided her husband, however no one dared laugh at the display. Mina had been waiting her turn to speak more or less, before she bowed to Jeremiah, before looking at the woman. "I was working on getting over a hang over earlier. I had an entire platoon assigned to Ada. He made the choice to bring only 4 guards to this hall. What he says goes, who are we to question the Head of the House?" She stated since honestly, she couldnt have done anything. Jeremiah chuckled when the woman said he had been taken there. "Quite on the contrary my dear. Ada was sent for my his mother. " he stated before reaching to the side table and getting the letter that Ada had received. "He knew where he was going and came in willingly. And yes my wife is here for her own protection and that of the worlds. I am her protector." He stated smoothly giving his wife's cheek a kiss. "Unfortunately I had been asked to fetch something by my wife, so i had stepped out. When I came back- he was as good as dead." He explained.

Luca watched her set up the shot on a weed nearby and gave a small confused look. What was so special about a dandelion? He folded his arms and waited, keeping an eye on her technique. It was pretty good for a beginner and he was curious how it would turn out after she messed with the dials for a while. He gave her a curious look when she brought the camera over to him. He took it and looked it over before his face fell in some shock, it was obvious he hadn’t expected a textured and well placed photo. He gawked at it a moment, studying the placement and movement of the shapes. He felt like he could almost reach out and feel the dew himself. “Stunning. This is amazing Fey. I need to watch out or you’ll have my job before long.” He said, showing it back to her with an excited smile. “You’re totally taking one in the next room. This will be great for that album you talked about.” He said as he walked with her to the next room, still admiring her picture. The next hall had leaves littering the path and just simple framed pictures tangled in branches like a forest. The distant sounds of water could be heard in the next room. They came to a door with black out glass and Luca pushed it open curiously. When the door shut behind them, leaving them in pitch black darkness with just the sounds of water ahead, Luca moved closer to Fey in an almost protective stance. He didn’t like the dark, especially when he wasn’t in wolf mode where he had better night vision. Before his senses could freak out, leaves began falling along the walls, lighting up the dark room in pin points of light. Slowly the scene began to form till colorful leaves fell around a twisted, whimsical forest. In the center a large rock was lit up by lights that poured from the ceiling and digital projections made it look like a waterfall cascaded from the roof, onto the rock and sent running on the floor. Luca’s eyes picked up on the subtle differences from water but the whole thing was beautiful honestly. “Hey Fey lets get a picture together!” He pulled her to the rock gently and moved in close, putting an arm around her toso above the waist to be chaste. He pulled the camera out and took a selfie, not caring that he just used an expensive camera to take a simple picture. He checked how it looked and smirked at how goofy his grin looked next to this beautiful girl lit up by the lights behind her. He showed her the picture and wagged his brows. “Got any more ideas for photos artist?” He asked, giving her a chance to get creative again. ~~~ ‘Awesome. The man was hated by everyone.’ Lilura thought as she listened to everyone speak. It seemed everyone was telling the truth as Korro didn’t call anyone out. But everyone still gave Lilura this feeling that there was more to this than a simple accident. Yes, could it have just been the Elder. Maybe...but Ada didn’t seem like the type willing to lose. He had to know this meeting was a losing bet for him, even if this were his mother. A mother who acknowledged Ada’s flaws. She listened to the woman and gave a softer nod before her eyes flicked back to Viatas. Just what was his role in this,..she wondered. Jeremiah’s words and the hit made Lilura tense. She got the feeling she didn’t trust or like this man. Maybe it was because he was an old vampire and scared the hell out of her because he helped to placate an even more dangerous vampire. Honestly, out of everyone in this room, she felt he was the most shifty, His words were too pretty and precise,.. Mina’s Response to why he was so lowly guarded made sense, but Lilura wanted to wince for the girl’s alibi of why she wasn’t caught in this mess. Sleeping off a hangover hardly worked for an alibi or cleared her of suspicion. Great. That left four people and a dead body...but Jeremiah pinned this as he left Ada and The Elder alone. Made it sound like he was sent out on her order, which she doubted he could disobey, even knowing that her being alone with Ada was dangerous... “No one saw him die but you ma’am?”” She asked, still looking around as she tried to piece together just how Ada could have died in a way that seemed like he was caught off guard. Was he really stupid enough to believe his mother wouldn’t kill him? She didn’t peg him for that kind of moron...She walked over to the body and examined it. Strange...why did his eyes look so void of life. She had seen vampire murders before and none had this level of necrosis. Korro hopped into the body, pecking at the mouth. Even the tongue was shriveled... “I think I have what I need to call upon him. Does he have anything he values? Something he would be tempted to return for?” She asked since she needed something to get ahold of the spirit. However when Lilura began to prepare her spell, something felt wrong. It was like there was a disconnect from Korro to the body. She blinked and let a breath slip from her lips of a quadi-Latin phrase that hung in the air. Her eyes went white as she touched the hand of the body, her mind reaching for any grasp of life or limb. She couldn’t find a shred of it. The cold connection forced her out of the body and made her gasp as air returned to her lungs. It always felt wrong to enter a truly dead being and even Korro was shocked by it. He hadn’t been to collect this soul. “He’s empty.” Lilura’s eyes shot to the room and she gave them a harsher look. This stunk of magic. That was the only way to truly dispell a soul from a body enough to severe it’s connection to the astral plain as well. That meant the soul was absorbed or he was alive. Ada was certainly dead so that meant a life syphon spell. “Was there no one else in this room, ma’am?” She asked, her eyes shifting around the room till they finally landed on the Elder. She saw something or knew something she wasn’t saying...but why would a witch be brought into this situation? That took planning and planning wasn’t conducive to an accidental murder by Elder...

When Luca complimented her photo she blushed but smiled broadly since she liked the praise. She nodded when he said she was taking one in the next room as well. They moved on into the next room and shw rose a brow at the black doors, but when Luca went in she did as well. Without the light it dropped a few degrees in the dark but she felt Luca move closer to her, she appreciated that sort of protectiveness, even if she didnt really need it. She watched as the digital leaves started to fall and looked a bit awed by the display with the waterfall. She followed after enthusiastically when Luca wanted a picture together with her. When his arm wrapped around her middle she didnt mind at all, she leaned into his shoulder and gave a big smile for the camera to show how happy she was to be there. This had been amazing so far so she was ecstatic to have seen even one room of this place. When he let her see the photo she smiled at it. "Its wonderful." She stated happily before glancing around at the stuff around her and seemed to be thinking. With a soft nod, she accepted the camera and moved off towards the back of the exhibit where she saw another set of rocks and some shrub like bushes. There she could feel a fine mist of water, barely dusting her face as she got closer. She smiled and adjusted the camera for the darkness and worked on moving to get the light just right. When she did she passed it back to Luca but jor before almost tripping over her own feet, stumbling a bit, catching herself on Luca's arm. Shw smiled sheepishly and handed him the camera, more to show it was okay. pin.it/fzav6mfi6ouegt°~~~°~~~°~~~° Annabella's rust colored eyes rested on the human. "I did watch him die, we are all dead when we become Vampires, a bit of our humanity dies child, it is simply another door way." She stated smoothly before sipping some tea. They let her move closer to the body and look it over. Her question of a valued item made Jeremiah smirk at her. "Yep, only one thing besides his mommy..." he stated before pointing up on to the darkened balcony where a white snake with red eyes slinked on the railing, watching what was going on. The large white Burmese Python flicked its tongue out to taste the air as it seemed to notice more eyes upon it. When the girl tried to read the body Jeremiah chuckled when it kicked her back. "No one is stupid enough to come to this section of the house with out my say so. Ada was summed by his mother- she out ranks me, so I had little say in sending him away. Besides- didnt we get a boy visitor that one day? The one with black hair?" Jeremiah asked his wife she sat pretty and though a moment. "Perhaps, I requested a tool be brought, you fetched it for me. But...Ada didnt make it to see the end...why waste a meal that's still hot?" She asked smoothly to the room as if it were a rhetorical question. Her husband nodded since he got it, as well as mina- however Viatas frowned but didnt speak.

Luca let her do her thing and turned his attention to the leaves falling around them. He enjoyed the sight, even if he kept his attention flitting between the scenery and Fey. She went back to her choice of plants and Luca felt like she had found a cool niche of interest in photos. He wanted to ask her why she chose those subjects but felt that would be intrusive. Art was meant to be enjoyed not over analyzed. He was interested in getting a look at the photo, even if he was caught off guard by her tripping. He felt the hand touch his arm and he placed a steadying hand under her arm to be sure she was okay. “You good?” He asked, not even worried about the camera till she showed him it was fine. He gave her a raise of his brow before he shook his head. “Don’t worry, I trust you. Camera or not I want to be sure you’re okay.” He said before he gave her a playful look. “Even though I know being in the presence of such a talented and powerful werewolf makes all the girls weak in the knees—“ he said with a teasing confidence, “I’d rather the camera get a bruise from the floor than you.” He said before he gave a hum of thought. “You look like you’re having a good time. But I want to hear what you think? We’ve got the winter room left and so far I think this place has been really interesting.” He said since he was curious what they would do with his personal favorite season. He grew up in snow and harsh winters and mild, brief summers. He enjoyed the snow the most, as his wolf was lighter than those in the city so his coat could match the icy landscape. Here he stuck out like a sore thumb on a hunt. ~~~~ Lilura felt a shiver rove up her spine when Annabella looked at her. Who wouldn’t when you knew the woman could break you before anyone in that room had time to stop her? She didn’t break eye contact however as the woman talked about seeing Ada die. She spoke in metaphors about the death of his humanity and his actual death. She knew vampires saw this all differently, but it did mess with her a little that they viewed this death so simply. Asshole or not, no one deserved to have their soul ripped from them and their body drained like a juice bag...She felt pity almost for the vampire, but knew she couldn’t show that. Her eyes briefly went to the python upstairs and she swallowed hard. She hated snakes and Korro wasn’t thrilled with the idea either. “No way in hell Im touching that.” Korro said with a fluff of his feathers and Lilura made a small shake of her head. They had to get that snake, to see if it had some odd connection to Ada’s spirit or what was left of it. When Jeremiah spoke up about no one coming without his say so, her head bobbed in a nod slowly. That didn’t mean he didn’t clear for someone to ambush Ada...but that was all speculation if no one could get past the Elder. The news of a boy with black hair made her brows knit and her eyes flick to the others. This talk of a tool being brought to her and Ada not surviving confused her, even if the idea of drinking from your son’s dead body was creepy. So Anabella didn’t kill him by draining him... “A tool? I take it this boy with black hair? A tool for what and who are we talking about?” She asked since that was an odd statement. Everyone here had white hair. Why would an outsider be there?
