The coy smile on Maria's lips made Cearuil's eyes narrow a bit in humor. She really was a crafty woman, smart as a whip and very aware of her beauty, enough so to use it to her advantage. He found himself not caring what her father felt about him and was more concerned with how she saw him. He gave a look of thought to show he was listening though he had taken to admiring the little things about her that he could see from his place so close. Each kiss made his smile grow, his words finding a proper sentence to tell her when she was finished. "I'm sure he likes the idea of me. But only you seem to like me. And those clouded decisions...well we both feel strongly against those." He said capturing her lips this time for a longer kiss since the more he felt his lips against his the more he was distracted from the distasteful thoughts of her engagement. ~~~~ The staff noticed Daire straightened when Lady Niamh entered, as though a switch had been flipped. His smile was warmer, his stance a bit more open and even his eyes seemed to brighten. They kept their eyes averted however to give the two their space, but a cook or two did spare a glance at the pretty woman standing in their kitchen. Daire couldn't take his eyes off her however, though he forced himself to keep eye contact rather than make the poor mistake of looking at the way the dress hugged her petite and well toned figure. "You look stunning, Lady Niamh." He said though it was a blurb from his thoughts that he quickly over wrote by jumping subjects. "No I haven't eaten. I was actually ordering something now. What would you like?" He said, motioning for one of the cooks who leaned in her direction to hear what she would like.

After kissing him a few light times she heard his words, about her father liking the idea of him, she was more alright with him- no titles, no properness- no rules. When he caught her chin for a stronger kiss she allowed him anything he wanted. She moved slightly, settling in better on the longue with him, so she was leaning up towards him better, her lips on his, one hand going to make a fist in his hair- not bothering if it messed it up or not. He needed what she needed, a distraction from the mess. She however knew the rules and how things worked, It could only be a type of distraction- she couldn't let her feeling get too much in the way to let her emotions get the better of her here. She wanted to share everything with him but knew she couldn't nor should. It could put him in a very bad spot, even herself since she was now engaged to another man. she pushed the though quickly form her mind and just focused her mind on him, his soft yet rough lips, his calloused hands, his warmth.

Niamh blushed at Daire’s comment, smiling happily. She was pleased to hear that he had yet to eat and her expression turned thoughtful at his question. “I think some fruit and maybe a crepe If you don’t mind.” She directed her words to the cook that had leaned in, flashing him a polite smile. “I’ve heard your kitchen makes a very delicious one.” She gave a compliment early and then turned her attention to Daire. “You look quite nice as well, My Prince.” She complimented. “What is our schedule for the day?” She questioned him, keeping the conversation light.

Cearuil was only happier to have her shift closer her hand in his hair keeping them from being separated. He showed her he liked the feeling with a sudden tightening of the grip of his hand that was safely on her waist, struggling not to explore the rest of her. He wanted her only her but the sick thing was though she was right there and he had the ability to have her, she was still so far away. Or at leas he was keeping it that way. There were lines he couldn't cross lines he had seen crossed before that always ended in horrible repercussions. "I don't want to share you." He knew it was a childish thought that left his lips but he couldn't help it. He knew that once she was married someone else would get to see her the way he could in fact would have the liberty to know more about her than he did. It was a sad thought, one mixed with a jealousy he wasn't used to. His thoughts turned slightly twisted at it, wondering if it were possible to blind her fiancé so he couldn't see how pretty she was. ~~~ The cook smiled at her compliment, liking that she was polite at least. He went back to work, spouting off orders to others in an quick manner to get people working. Daire went less complicated, just asking for some toast and jam, since he felt a small nervous energy building that kept his stomach from settling. They had a bit of time before they needed to leave, only making him think more on the idea of their plan. Take this casual visit to see Hircine and her brother to investigate if her brother actually did attend the party. "Hircine said to meet her at her brother's estate at noon. She has already spoken with him prior. We've got a little time before then to at least enjoy breakfast." He said though his smile eased some in thought. "I'm not sure how to even go about testing to see if he was the odd man out at my father's event...I can't exactly be thought of as making accusations at this point." He said just a thought aloud too himself.

She heard his thoughts cross his lips in an almost growl, which made her chest flutter a bit, she had felt the same however they had no choice. She broke off the kiss to look at his face seeing a jealousy there she wasn’t used to seeing. She smiled at his darker look, brushing a hand on his cheek,” What’s that look for? You look like you want to cut off the spines’ hands and gouge out his eyes…” She said with an honesty that made sense with him. She wouldn’t blame him but she wouldn’t recommend it.

Niamh smirked a bit at Daire’s choice of breakfast, feeling that he should eat more but figuring he either wasn’t a big breakfast person or had his reasons. She nodded as he explained when they were supposed to arrive and where. She frowned lightly in thought at his last comment, wondering how to bring it up and she smiled some. “I don’t think it should be something that should be over thought. It should just come up naturally.” She bit her lower lip slightly as she thought before saying something out loud that she hadn’t really talked about before. “When I used to attend parties and balls undercover, I would search for information casually and not press for something. If it didn’t come up in conversation as soon as I wanted to, a gentle nudge in the right direction.” It was advice that she hoped would help him but she wasn’t too sure how he would take it. After all she was used to digging for information so maybe he would let her try and guide him, though she didn’t doubt that he was indeed capable of such a task.

Cearuil wasn't surprised she could tell by his look what was running through his head, though the hands idea did make it quite a nice package deal. Though he wasn't too positive that this man wanted Maria, he still wouldn't be alright with the idea of his mind changing, at least not when Cearul was still in the picture. He wouldn't share her, he refused to. Though childish, that was his limit when it came to her. "I want to...but I won't. Too messy..." Cearuil grumbled though he was quick to give her a look that spoke of the frustration he had. "Though I have you here by me, it seems I always have to keep you at some kind of distance. I understand why but I don't like it." He said knowing fully well that though he loved her there were things that he owed to his family. ~~~ Daire tilted his head up a bit, his eyes flicking to the ceiling in thought. He pursed his lips slightly, considering her words closely. She of course was more experienced than he was at information gathering, though he was a bit surprised she divulged the bit about her line of work. He knew she was perhaps the one that could get the information better than he could since she was a good conversationalist and interrogator. He had seen the way she handled the servants in the kitchen after his father's death after all... "I probably should just let you handle it then. I do well with conversation but not when I feel like I've got something to hide." He said though perhaps that wasn't the best way to describe this situation.

She smiled at his messy joke before his words got a bit more serious. She decided to relax, pulling her arms from about him and laying her head on his lap, stretching out on the lounge. She was comfortable with him there so she saw o problem with this. "I just hope the woman they throw at you to marry- won't mind me playing the mistress. I have no doubt Issaic won't mind- he will have his face in a book some where-where it needs to stay for all I care." She said looking less hen thrilled to be saying what she did but it was honest. She tilted her head up to look at Cearuil,"I just hope She isn't as stubborn as me to get your attention. I don't want to hurt a pretty court flower..." her tone got a bit more venomous as she imagined a court flower married to her Cearuil- her warrior- her strong pillar...It made her sick- she wanted to cut the first girl who got eyes for him but she knew it wasn't socially proper and now it was impossible since she was engaged.

Niamh smiled at Daire’s words and glanced to the side as their food was brought. “If you feel that is best, I will work towards the goal, but I feel they might respond better to you if you ask certain questions.” She turned so that the food was in front of her before glancing at Daire. “I suppose we will just have to see what happens.” She looked down at her food and was quite happy. The crepes looked interesting to her with fruit coming out of the ends of the soft pastry-like covering. There was a light sauce drizzled over the top and coming out of the inside. She took a utensil and picked up a piece of fruit, popping it into her mouth. The sauce had a zing to it that complimented the fruit well and she smiled, taking another bite with the crepe, finding that everything blended quite nicely together. “This is good.” She said after finishing her second bite.

Cearuil let her lay down and when she got comfortable he smiled softly at her head rested in his lap so innocently. He played with her hair a bit, though went about enjoying the way her face looked in the low light of her room. Her comments about the court flower and her being his mistress actually made him chuckle, caressing her cheek to get her to look at him again. "You talk as if she would have a choice...no doubt they would find a prissy little thing too. You wouldn't be a mistress to me. That would require me actually even acknowledging the twit who will bare the title of my wife." He said, tending at the idea that it was very likely to happen, especially if he did become king. "You would be the only one in my thoughts, the only one truly fitting of the title in all honesty..." He knew that was maybe wrong of him to say to an engaged woman but he loved her too much to brush his feelings off. ~~~~~~~ Daire was glAd she believed so in him but he had to say he was going to struggle a bit to find that balance of right nd wrong. He had waited a long time after all to finally knows at least somethin about his father's murder. And now it was so close he could almost taste it over the bitter berry jam he had on the thin bread. He noticed from the corner of his eye her reaction to het food and was reminded she often enjoyed food like this. Her expressions at such simple things were so cute and interesting, this time actually making him laugh but he hid it behind a cough. However his smile was genuine as be enjoyed light breakfast simply enjoying her company. "Have you ever been to the cliff district?" He asked, meaning the area with the older family wealth. It was quiet area, one that was very much a secluded environment. Even he felt a bit out of place there since it was so exclusive for the oldest families, modt being Mermidian' s in fact.

she felt his fingers in her hair and liked it. Her father used to brush her hair similar when she was little to comfort her when she was angry at others. Her eyes went to hi face when he caressed her cheek however she heard his words and smiled. When he said she would be the one he viewed as his wife, the only one worthy of the title, it made her blush lightly as she looked up at him. She hadn't ever thought to hear him say such a thing and it slightly humbled her in a way- She put a hand to her cheek where his hand was to hold his hand to her cheek longer. "That makes me happy. Really happy Cear..." She said as she turned her head to give his hand a light kiss. She however yawned and closed her eyes, completely at ease with Cearuil there with her. "Today was the worse best day of my life..." She stated since it was, she heard such sweet words from her Ceauil but she figured out she was stuck engaged to a spineless idiot.

Niamh looked concerned when Daire coughed, wondering if he had choked on something, but by his smile, she realized that he must have been laughing at her over something. She wondered what it could have been about, but didn’t ask as she felt a bit embarrassed already. She took another bite of her breakfast, the question of the cliff district making her bite her bottom lip in thought after swallowing. “I think I went to a party there once but I was very young and with my father.” Her expression was strained a bit as she tried to remember but then shook her head. “I can’t really remember though.” She took another bit and smiled. “It is an area of great wealth and power though. I’m excited to see what it looks like.” She stated, seeming quite pleased with where they were headed, having not really thought about it until then.

((seems I forgot to post -.- sorry yall!))
Cearuil felt her lips against his hand and gave her an almost tired look himself. He wanted to be there for her, to keep her saying she was happy. He wanted to make her happy but it seemed he could only do so in little ways. But the way he had chosen was not right. He shouldn't have been saying things like that, no matter how true they were. "I'm...happy too." He said being honest as he gave a yawn himself. "Seems today was a bit more draining than I thought." He said though instead of leaving he relaxed back and let his eyes shut briefly, not wanting to lose her warmth just yet. ~~~ Daire had expected as much, though he was sure that wouldn't be that big of a deal. Just because she didn't know her surroundings didn't mean that they would be in trouble when visiting the Knight family. He was more worried about the home than the people. If her brother really was involved with the killer instead of having no knowledge then they could be in trouble. As long as other people didn't know about his random visit though they should be alright. "It's lovely really, all pretty sun and reefs, even some fish that see the surface... My mother is from there. My father actually met her during a house call like this..." He said, remembering Serena telling them as children the played up story of how their mother and father met. It wasn't the typical boy meets girl, in fact it was a business call between their parents that were old war friends. She was the gem of the household and he was the future king. The mother's couldn't wait to arrange the marriage... His mind turned from thoughts of love when he saw the way Niamh spoke of her father. He was glad she was telling him more about herself and her past, things she neglected to say past the occupation. It wasn't his place to ask however, so he kept his questions to himself. He ate relatively slowly, seeing as he was mulling over thoughts of what they would do when they arrived. Would Hircine really be in better terms with her brother by the time they arrived or would things still be quite volatile? It was a little while longer when a servant came to fetch them, telling them that the carriage was prepared and they would be departing soon. Daire gave Niamh a brief smile before pushing from the counter. "You're welcome to finish your breakfast. I promise I wont let them leave without us." He joked because they couldn't ever just leave him.
((Sorry im impatient for the drama on both sides lol))

Maria didn't really know what happened next but she remembered closing her eyes, however when she opened them, She heard her room lock click. She sat up and grabbed a dagger from her table and stood by the door looking livid, waiting for the person to step threw. However who it was she hadn't expected, it was Charolette. She was cursing locks and how noisy they were under her breath however when her eyes adjusted she had already taken a few steps into the room and was face to face with Maria, who had a rather sharp looking dagger. "Good morning- It seems you like to make a lasting impression on your future family- nice to see I have to sleep with a knife in my bed with you around."She said sounding angry at her but had a smile on her lips. Charolette's eyes went about the room, as she took a leaned away from the knife. "Well, you were supposed to be asleep- I guess your a night owl, Interesting little visit you have here with the Prince. " She said with a devious smile that she had her pinned, however Maria just smiled at her sweetly. The room was silent and the air growing tense. Charolette bolted for the door but Maria was faster- She slammed her hard into the door, pinning her face and her shoulder to it hard with her own weight. "No, talk of I'll cut you where no one will ever see it." She gave a small shriek of pain and looked angry as she tried to glare at Maria," Get off me you sea tramp! You are unforgivable- cheating on your fiance! My brother- you know how that makes him feel- it makes other-" She was going on about ti loudly probably to catch a guards attention however maria cut off her words," He probably loves the prospect of it- He doesn't like me and I don't like him. End of story." She said with a smile as she pulled her weight off of her and turned her around to face her as she slammed her fist next to her head by the door,"Come in my chambers again- uninvited and I will cut you so even your brother won't recognize you." Her eyes narrowed at her as she about hissed her words," You wouldn't dare." That only made Maria smile," Oh but wouldn't I?" She said as she took a step away from her- letting her leave. She watched her slam the door on her way out and sighed heavily, that was a bad way to wake up.

Niamh listened to Daire speak of where they were going and she smiled. It sounded delightful and she felt that it was a place she would be happy to explore, though she had to remind herself that this was not a visit for pleasure but for work. That was how she thought of it anyways. She took another bite of her meal, having gotten half-way through it, though a servant came up to them. She swallowed quickly as Daire stood and she followed suit, setting down her fork and moving away from the counter. “No-no. I’m ready now.” She said and thanked the cook before she followed Daire. She was ready to get this going.
((Same lol so sorry about the post, also about ready to fall asleep and its only noon! >.<))
