Yukina saw Zeru get swarmed and had to shake her head a bit. Girls were so weird sometimes when it came to guys. She got to her feet, offering a smile to Maka and Sayuri when they warned her that she shouldn't get involved with that mess. The three were walking along and Yukina felt a bit better being out of the class. THough she still wasn't one hundred percent, something about fresh air made her feel better. She picked a spot for lunch that would be a bit more peaceful than the usual humdrum. Since Maka and Sayuri had to go and work on project for their fashion club, she decided that she might as well use this time to get in a small nap. Finding a nice bench off to the side she leant against it, giving a small sigh in relief at the warm breeze. She loved spring the best, it was always the best part of the year. 'Too bad the sakura trees aren't near the school grounds. It would be nice to see them...' She let her mind wander back to photos she saw of Japan and how it was made to look for tourists. Then again after hearing such high praises from her mother about this place, she would just have wait and hope to see the real beauty here. She let her eyes drift close, as she thought about the lovely trees and their pretty pink colored petals...

"I figured you would be having second thoughts by now Zeru" Zeru walked into the presidents office and rolled his eyes "Well I have no choice at the moment now do I" he sarcastically replied and the president just started laughing. "Well I have all the paper ready for you to sign, you schedule for the next month that you need to take care of. Of course I will be here for the next week to help with the transition but after that you will be on your own" they walked over to the desk and Zeru started to sign all the paper work 'you now you can still back out and just kick his ass' 'and completely ruin everything not to mention I will have to change schools' Zeru yelled at Jett as he finished up the papers "And the announcement?" He inquired "Tomorrow at the opening of the students festival" Zeru's eyes went a little glazed and the presidents brows knitted together "Is there a problem?" Zeru cleared his throat "Not at all, well I hope the rest of your day is pleasant" "It was nice doing business with you"
Zeru was finally able to walk off campus after ditching several female lower classmen who were trying to get information and headed on his way home to get some rest. Today was a very long day and there were a couple of things that he needed to talk to his father about and see if he could make his situation even a little better.

Yukina woke up to the sound of the end of school bell. She sat up rubbing her eyes. She was so lost as to how she had slept through her last class, but since she had, she decided she might as well go home. She felt a little sick and just wanted to be in bed. She got up and walked along with her bag. A car was parked on the side walk but she didn't notice really. Till of course the door opened and she heard someone call out her name. She looked back and saw it was Takano, her father's buisness advisor. "Hello Takano-san...it's a pleasure to see you here." She was really confused as to why he was there but she wasn't in the mood to really beat around the bush to find out and she didn't want to be rude. "Yukina, I have a request for you to be invited to a family gathering this weekend for your father's birthday." He offered her the invitation along with an envelope. She opened the evelope hesitantly and found money was in it. "Oh, Takano-san you already paid the bill for my apartment last week. I can't except this-" "This is for you to find a dress, miss Yukina. It's a white tie affair." He said and Yukina nodded uneasily. It was almost like Takano was chastising her by the way he said it. "I look forward to seeing you there Miss Yukina." Takano got back in the car and left, leaving Yukina a bit stunned. She turned with a shake of her head, trying to think over what just happened. She was invited to her father's birthday....and she would get to see her father at this party. She felt a small excitement fill her. She got a small smile that made her practically glow as she was almost to the point of skipping as she headed home.

Zeru walked into the house with a small sigh of relief, this was the one place he didn’t have to act normal. He would ‘talk’ to himself a lot when he was home or argue to be more precise. “Dad, You here?” Zeru called out as he walked through the house tossing his backpack into the living room, he would take care of that later. Zeru was just too tired at the moment to deal with it. “Dad?” that was strange for his father to be gone at this hour, his father was usually home to greet him after school. ‘Maybe he went to see the publisher’ Jett offered up though even that was strange. So Zeru shrugged his shoulders and walked into the kitchen after he stripped off his school blazer and hung it up. Then he walked into the kitchen to get something to eat before he started on his homework. As he stared into the fridge he couldn’t help but wonder what Yuki was doing at the moment ‘When will you admit it that you like that girl’ Jett huffed as Zeru’s thoughts were starting to fill with nothing but Yuki “I will never, she’s a cute girl but I wouldn’t dare get her mixed up in my chaotic life. Especially when you are still in it” He growled out to Jett though that didn’t make him back off ‘so, I will be around till you die or until you give me that body’ “How many times are we going to fight about this, you will never get my body” Zeru slammed the fridge shut shutting up Jett and made his way back into the living room.
He sat down on the couch just looking at his backpack; he just wasn’t in the mood to do his homework. He needed to talk to his father about several things before he could even get his mind straight “Wonder where he could be?” He thought out loud and pulled out his cell phone. He dialed his dads cell and sat there staring at it trying to decide if it was a good idea to bug his father.

Yukina looked at the ceiling from her bed, trying to study its contures in the ceiling. She couldn't quite get her mind off of today. How come Zeru looked so annoyed and conered today? Could it have been something the principal said? Then there was the ballet audition she had to redo. she was thankful that she got a chance at a part but not that she had another chance to mess up. She was a lot clumsier when she was nervous. And to top it all off her father's assisstant invited her to her fathers birthday. The same father that wanted nothing to do with her since she arrived here in Japan. She looked again to her bag and saw the envelope with the money for a dress sticking out of a pocket. She didn't even know where to begin in dress shopping. She'd never bought one before ever. 'But I need to impress him...prove that I can fit in..' She thought, remembering a photo her mother had shown her of her parents. Her mother was all smiles as usual, looking like she was in the happiest moment of her life, while her father had a smile but looked so uptight like he was a manequin. She couldn't tell if that was his personality or just something innate that he had. Just by looking at this picture of her mother as a young girl she couldn't see a resemblance to her father at all. So her last option to be recognized was to be a proper young girl from their world of high social standing. It couldn't be that hard, it was like playing a part in ballet. Just keep on your toes and remember the steps and you fill in the flurish and detail when you need it. It would be a bit of a lie but...it was necessary. She rolled over and looked at the door, contemplating getting up to eat. But at the moment she really wasn't hungry at all due to all the stress. She gave a small sigh and returned to the book she was reading by one of her favorite authors.

After staring at his phone for a solid five minutes he closed it without talking to his father and got to his feet “Best to leave him be, I’m sure he’ll be home soon” he remarked and walked into his room changing out of his school uniform and into something a little better suited as street clothes. ‘And where are you going?’ Jett commented and Zeru smirked a little “Out for a walk, not like you have much choice in the matter” Zeru chuckled to himself as he walked out the front door and locking it behind him. He took a deep breath and exhaled “Fresh air, you should try it sometime-oops sorry forgot you can’t” though it wasn’t like he had, he just felt like taunting Jett a little. Zeru proceed walking south from his house and after getting past the front yard he broke out into a light jog.

Yukina switched on the music, the sounds of a sweet and light piano and violin accompli playing throughout the open space she had made in her living room. She began to stretch, feeling the pull of her work out clothes on her skin as she thought back over her routine. She had to practice, and since she had no intention of buying a dress she had no idea how to buy today, she felt it was necessary then to devote time to her dancing. She lifted up her arms, doing the small exercises before she balanced on her crossed feet. They ached a little from the effort but she could still stand strong as she fell into a dance. Her eyes closed as she spun and slid on the hard floors, soon tripping over her own feet and running into the window wall that she had that looked out into the city. She stared at it for a long moment, her eyes fixed in the direction of her father's hospital. She couldn't shake the feeling that this invitation to his part was suspicious, that she needed to be careful rather than enjoy it. If it was then what could she do anyways? She looked down at the city, her breath fogging up a small bubble of air on the glass. She felt like going out but she remembered the forcast called for rain as well. Anyone out there might get drenched soon or later, if the didn't find a place to get out of the rain.

His muscles ached a bit, it had been awhile since he went running though he didn't know why. It was always good to stay in shape, not to mention for him since he knew that one day someone or thing was going to come for him. Well not really him but a part of him but that was all that his father had told him. He refused to let Zeru know anything else, he just told him that he would tell him one day when he really needed to know. But as Zeru got older he felt let safe and constantly would ask his father what he needed to look out for 'But he feels too much like being a kid right now' Jett reminded him and he couldn't really argue with it cause it was true. It seemed as though the older Zeru got the younger his father acted.
Zeru crossed one of the main streets and before he could walk onto the sidewalk it started to rain. He looked up for a minute thinking a few choice words but then let it go and continued walking. The rain was colder then he expected but it felt kind of nice on his burning skin. 'Oh Zeru...just a little warning. You are being followed' Jett piped in but Zeru shook it off, at the moment he didn't care. He was too lost in thought, there were a lot of things he needed to get figured out before school started back up. He turned to look behind him just in case but then he heard someone scream out "Found you!" The next thing he knew he was on the ground looking up into the pouring ran 'Should have listened to me' Jett mocked him "Shut up!" He screamed and jumped to his feet. He quickly looked around for his attacker but just as he thought that the person ran off he felt a searing pain in his leg.
Zeru dropped to one knee, a groan escaping his lips and then he blanked. His arms flared out making contact with a solid object and it went flying. As well as Zeru only to land on top of guy, his attacker started to laugh uncontrollably "Do it! You know you want to, kill me and release him" Zeru vaguely heard him scream at him but that was when he got to his feet "Get out of here" Zeru growled out at the guy and he took off "I'll get my chance again, just you watch" he screamed as he disappeared into the darkness.
'Hey I tried to warn you' "Shut up Jett" he snapped at Jett once again. Once he was sure the guy was gone he again dropped down to one knee. His leg was killing him and he wondered what had happened. He looked down and blood had already soaked down his pant leg, that's when he groaned even more. Zeru torn his pants a little around his wound and found the tip of a dagger peaking through his leg from the back of his cafe. Without thinking he gripped the hilt of the dagger and yanked it out. More blood poured from his leg and he began to feel a little woozy he quickly tore part of his shirt and tightly tied it around his thigh. Now how was he going to get home.

Yukina pulled away from the window, giving a small sigh as her stomach rumbled. She walked over to her fridge, grabbing the container closes to her. She examined the contents and frowned a bit. All of it was atleast a few days old and didn't look too appetizing. She tossed it in the trash and went to the cabinets. "Hmm nothing that will actually make dinner." She looked from the cabinet to the large window where rain battered it profusely. It was too far to try and run to a restaurant and the rain would make it hard to go much of anywhere. "Perhaps the convenience store might have something?" She thought, remembering there was one nearby. She went to her room and grabbed a jacket with her cellphone. She walked to the front door, taking an umbrella with her on the way out. Yukina smiled at the rain that fell upon her at the entrance of her apartment. It was nice compared to the heat from earlier today. Possibly She was the only one who thought so since she got used to rain back in the States. She continued her walk, the umbrella still in her grasp as she thought over just what to buy for dinner tonight.Hardly did she expect to see someone near the street. “Hey! It’s not safe to be there. “ She called, walking over to him. When she steeped in a puddle and looked down she gasped. There was blood on the ground, mixing with the rain water. She quickly dropped to her knees, placing the umbrella to her side. “Are you okay? Where are you hurt?” She said I her voice even though she was very worried. She looked into his eyes and had to stifle her surprise. “Zeru?” She looked him over and noticed his pants were ripped. “What happened?” She had her hand on her phone thinking whether or not she should call for help.

With blurry vision he had come up with the plan to get to his feet and get home. But as he tried to get to his feet he felt himself fall right back over so he laid there just staring up into the sky waiting till he could even think about getting on his feet again. However before that time came he heard a faint voice calling, he wasn't sure if it was for him or if he was just hearing things. Zeru rocked his head to the side and saw a shadowed figure quickly come up to him. He jumped a little thinking it was his attacker come back to finish him off 'Jett! Can you tell who it is?' he asked in a panic but there was no response, it was silent in his head for once. He had always wished for it to be silent in his head but now he was worried. Where had Jett gone? Why wasn't he responding?
Zeru perked up when he heard his name being said and he blinked trying to clear his vision but it was hard. The sound of a girls voice struck him as familiar "N-n-nothing" he stammered and then started to sit up. That was a bad idea, his stomach almost emptied its self. Zeru took a deep breath to regain what ever composure he could "I'm fine...really. You should...you shouldn't be here...you shouldn't be around me" his slurred a bit as his world spun. He couldn't believe that little dagger did this much damage and all Zeru really could think about was getting this girl away from him. She could get hurt because of him and because she felt familiar to him, that made him want to get her away from him fast.
He was dangerous and people could get hurt if they got to close to him, that became all too apparent to him tonight. He dropped his head a little bit and his eyes focused a little on the girls hand in her pocket. Maybe she wasn't actually trying to help him, maybe she was going to pull out a knife and finish the job. He shook his head a little bit to push that thought out, those were wrong thoughts. Not everyone was like that guy and he shouldn't think the whole world was out to get him. It had to be something else...maybe mace to protect herself or... "just...leave it...no hospitals...just make it worse" he used as little words as he could so he could keep as much strength as he could. He needed to get home and contact his father, he would know what to do. He then slid an arm under himself to prop his body up then slowly slid one knee to steady himself. This was going to be a slow process getting to his feet but he had to do it in order to get home.

Yukina was confused by what he was saying. He said something about her not being around him. He didn't want help and didn't want a hospital, but the fact of the matter was he was losing blood and couldn't stand. He wasn't fine and she wasn't just going to give him a pat on the back and send him on his way like this. "Then let me at least help get you out of the rain and to where you need to be." She said not wanting to overstep the line of courtesy or seem to pushy when he was hurt but it just wouldn't feel right to not help. "Please, it would be just a small way to help..."

He shook his head over and over again trying to get her to realize that she was wrong. ‘Need to get her away…he could still be here’ he thought to himself over and over again but couldn’t find any way to get her away from him other than screaming at her and pushing her away. But he couldn’t bring himself to do it, Zeru was a nice guy and to yell at a girl would just make him feel guilty. ‘Can’t have her bring me home, can’t know where I live’ he thought once more and then stopped moving. He turned his sights onto the girl once more; he needed to be sure that he could trust this girl. Hell he still didn’t even know if actually knew her even though her voice was so familiar. He tightly closed his eyes for a second and then opened them hoping that he was looking at her.
When his eyes opened they focused for a second and he about fell over once again “Yuki!” He gasped and then he started to get to his feet a little quicker. Of all people in the world he did not want her to see him like this “No no I’m fine I promise. I can just give my father a call” he said. He did not want his attacker to think that she was connected to him cause the sound of that guys voice made Zeru think that he was out for blood and it didn’t matter whose as long as Zeru released Jett. Zeru’s brows knitted together, that was another thing…where was Jett.
He finally got to his feet and was standing a little better than he had earlier but when he shifted his wait to his injured leg it almost gave out. ‘Ok so walking on that leg is out’ he thought and then looked down at his leg. There was a lot of blood on the ground unlike what he had thought and then he looked back to Yuki “Ok” he told her finally. It would probably be a while before he could get ahold of his father and even longer for him to get here. Zeru needed to get home soon and fix up his leg before he lost so much blood that he would die “My place isn’t to far from here. I can make it that far”

Yukina jumped a little when he suddenly said her name in such a shocked manner. She hadn't realized he didn't know it was her and now that she did she was even more worried about his condition. However he still insisted he was alright, that his father could come and get him. But even so she didn't feel like it was a good idea to leave him be. After all, something or someone had made quite a nice cut on his leg to make him bleed this much.
When he stood she wince a bit when she saw his injured leg buckle under his weight. It was almost palpable to her how much the injury would affect his walking. She was about to open her mouth and say that there was no way in hell she was going to let this drop so easily, but his sudden "Ok" stopped her. She wasn't too sure what he meant by the simple word. If he meant that it was okay for her to help or okay for him to hobble home on his own. Whatever the case, she just assumed it was the first choice and gave a small nodd, getting to her feet with the umbrella. She didn't think she needed at this point. She was already pretty wet from being in the rain but it didn't phase her much. "Alright then, we better get going." She said, quite matter-of-factly. It was an obvious sign she wouldn't take no for an answer, something she rarely did unless it was something she believed strongly. Her mother said she got that from her father. Seems the strong willed trait ran in the family. She looked him over, not convinced he could hobble his way back effectively enough. She would call a taxi but it might take forever to get there with all the traffic and the rain. Not to mention she didn't think Zeru or the cab driver would appreciate him bleeding on the seats. She gave a small sigh and moved to his side. "Here," She said, lifting her shoulder up a bit, "Balance a bit of the weight on me. It might help you walk a bit better." She hoped he wouldn't be too put off by her persistence, after all she was usually very passive. But when it came to helping others she was hell bent on getting the job done.

He stared at her a little more, surprised that she hadn't run off or even asked how he got hurt. But Zeru just kept his mouth shut and let her help him cause it seemed no matter what he said it didn't seem like she was going to go away. He started to walk slowly making sure he didn't put too much wait on his bad leg. Though that was until she started to support his weight "I'll make you fall over" he commented quietly, Zeru didn't really have the energy to aruge at the moment but he still wasn't sure if she knew what she was getting herself into.
Zeru took a deep breath trying to focus his mind, it was getting a little harder to think let alone keep his eyes from shutting. "My place is just up the street and around the corner to the left" he told her before he forgot to tell her or if he passed out before he could get there.

Yukina looked up at him, glad to see that he didn't push her away as well as worried. He must be getting weaker... "Just try to knock me over. I'm a tough girl." She tried for a joke lightly but she could sense it was getting harder for him to focus. She walked along with him to make sure he was moving. With a small glance at his leg, she swallowed a bit. She wanted to ask him how he got that injury but she felt like she didn't want to know the answer. It could have been bad or it couldn't have been. It could have been just a scratch...but all her sense told her a cut like that didn't come from an accident. As they got close to the corner she tried her best to keep him balanced and to concentrate on where he said his place was. "To the left right?" She asked again, just to be sure, and to check if he was still lucid enough to speak..
