He chuckled at her comment but it just resulted in him coughing for a minute and his headed started to throb. He realized that after a moment he was clinging onto her more then he should have been. But his feet weren't exactly doing as he told them to and then he rocked his head to the side to look at her. What had she just said? He tried to go through everything that she had said and he still came up with nothing. "Um..." he began but wasn't even sure what he was about to say. "You shouldn't be..." the words flowed out of his mouth. He remembered back to when she first found him and his brain stuck on that. "I will be fine. You...get hurt...cause...me" his breath was shallow and short which only made his headache worse. He felt his body sway a little here and there and that was when he would cling a little harder so he could stay on his feet.
"You'll get hurt...if you stay...near me...that's why I try..." he took as much of a deep breath as he could "stay away...people. I get people...killed" his eyes finally closed but his body kept moving. 'Jett you spineless whelp. Where are you?' He called out in his head yet again for Jett but it was just blank in his mind. Where had that nosy loud mouth gone? He still had to be in Zeru's mind cause there was no where else for him to go.
Zeru's father had just gotten back to the house and surprisingly as he was walking up to the house there weren't any lights on inside. Zeru should have been home by now but there was a chance that he was in bed already but he wasn't home that late. He looked around the empty street only to see two darkened figures, one looked really drunk and he was about to turn inside quickly before something bad happened but as the figures got closer to him, one of the figures looked really familiar. His father dropped his bag and books that were in his hands and ran to the two people. "Zeru!" He screamed when he was close enough "What happened?" He looked at Zeru but he was already unconscious and then he looked to the girl. But then he just picked Zeru up "Come with me" He told the girl and started back to the house quickly.

Yukina tried not to let out a struggled breath when Zeru began to lean heavily on her, to the point not only was he clinging to her to right himself but she was having to hold onto him. She couldn’t complain, she just kept walking and trying to find just where he lived. Zeru was losing consciousness fast. She could feel it in the way he stumbled, in the way his words sounded or at least what of it she could pick out. She listened carefully, picking the words and broken sentences he was trying to put together. Their message was rather blatant. ‘I might get hurt around him-that’s why he avoids people-they get hurt around him….’ She looked over at Zeru, her eyes searching his pale face. “Don’t talk like that…You might give someone the wrong idea about you…” ’He didn’t say hurt. He said people get killed.’ Her lips were drawn tight in worry for his health and for her own. She couldn’t tell him that idea that he put in her head didn’t worry her, that it didn’t make her rethink what she was doing and just how much she really knew about this boy she was helping. He seemed like such an average guy at school…but then again everyone had masks. When his steps suddenly faltered, she staggered a bit, nearly falling on her face. She steadied herself, gritting her teeth a bit in effort. How the hell was she going to actually get him into his place by herself? What if there were stairs? She wanted to kick herself for not thinking this through-that was until a man suddenly came over to them-well actually ran. Yukina at first was a bit apprehensive at the sight of someone darting towards them out of the dark, but when the man said Zeru’s name she paused. He looked panicked when he reached them, his attention on Zeru completely. He asked what had happened and she opened her mouth to answer, getting out a small “He’s-“ before he grabbed Zeru. She was a bit glad to have the weight off her shoulder, but still worried. He told her to follow and she hesitated when he went towards the house. ‘Think Yuki…is this a smart thing to do?’ She thought before giving a small sigh. ‘Do I have much of choice anymore?’ She followed after him. “He was bleeding on his leg from a cut when I found him. He’s lost a lot of blood.“ She was trying to fill him in on what happened, since she assumed this was Zeru’s father by the look of him.

Zeru's father quickly walked up to the door and instead of unlocking it and opening it he just kicked it open. He would replace the lock later but his mind was mostly on Zeru. What had happened to his son? Why was he out of the house this late? His son knew better then to wander around at night with the thing inside his head. He quickly walked into the house and then set him down on the couch. He would also deal with the blood stained couch later, his son was more important then any material item.
"A cut" his father spoke trying to figure out just want kind of cut would make him bleed this much. He saw the poor bandage job that was done to his leg. He quickly tore off the ruined piece of shirt and then tore the pants some more. This was more then just some mere cut, this was a sever. His father moved into the kitchen rummaging through cabinets and couldn't find the kit. He walked into the bathroom doing the same thing and found it. He returned to the living room, he gave one look towards the girl wondering who she was but the thought was fleeting.
He turned back to Zeru and pulled out a needle and some thread so that he could close the wound. After thending to that he walked into his office and pulled out some bags of read fluid. He knew this day was going to come but he had hoped it wouldn't be for a few more years. He then grabbed a pole that was hooked to wheels and brought it into the living room. He set up a blood transfusion for Zeru and when he seemed to be in a more stable position his father turned to the girl. "I want to thank you for bring him home despite all that you have seen. I'm also sure that my son has told you to stay away..." He started while trying to get himself to relax. "However I must ask who you are so that way I know how to go about the next step"

Yukina stood off to the side, giving the father room to work. She didn't say a thing, simply observed as he quickly and precisely worked on his son. Hell, he even kicked a door down. With everything going on, she was somewhat able to take a breath herself, one in relief that Zeru was getting help. She watched the man haul a peice of hospital equipment out into the room. She tried not to look so shocked by that and folded her arms to hide her unease. How come the father was so prepared like this for Zeru to get hurt? She felt the confusion setting in as she remembered what Zeru said about staying away from him...Did his father know about that? As if reading her mind, he spoke to her, even mentioned what Zeru had said. She gave a small gulp. Was this really how things were for Zeru? He asked her who she was and she gave a small bow. "I'm Takeada Yukina. I'm one of his classmates." She said, wondering just what the next step would be in this situation. After all she couldn't say much about really knowing Zeru more than being just classmates.

He walked over to the wall that faced the couch where Zeru was, he crossed his arms and leaned up against it. His body was still humming from the shock of earlier though the girls response made him feel a little better but not much unfortunately. His father ran a hand through his hair trying to decided what he should say next. The girl was just a classmate so that was one good thing that his son still followed. But the next thing was how did she find his son and why wasn't she freaking out? He mulled over a few things in his head a little more and then turned his full attention to her "Well Miss Yukina I am really thankful to you that you brought my son home but I must ask you to forget you were ever hear. I don't want that to sound rude but it is for your own safety as well as Zeru's. I must also ask that you not have any contact with my son from now on...again for your safety" he told her in an almost exhausted voice, his adrenaline was wearing off now and he was beginning to get tired.
"I hope that my son hasn't caused you too much trouble and that you can accept my apology for dragging you into a little bit of this but if you are just his classmate then it is best for you if it is kept that way" he then said and place a hand on the back of his neck trying to rub out some of the stress.

Yukina fidgetted a bit, still a bit uneasy. Freaking out is what she should have been doing. She should have been fearful and quite worried for her own sake. But perhaps it was being caught up in making sure Zeru was alright that made her a bit numb to her own nerves. That was until his father spoke, telling her quite plain and simply what he felt was best. And of course it involved her staying away from Zeru for her own safety. The first time she saw that wound on Zeru she should have understood quite well just what he meant by people getting hurt around him. It seemed to have it repeated by someone that really was the closest to him was what it took for it to actually click. This wasn't some guy being shy. There really was something darker there that would make him want so much distance. "I understand-and it was no trouble to help him..."Yukina looked down at the ground, not sure quite why she felt a bit put off by the idea. Perhaps it was because it sounded so lonely. But that wasn't her place to get involved. She had helped him get home, had gotten him help, and now she had to take a bow out of this situation-hopefully with more grace than she had come in..."Well, at least he'll be okay... I-It's late and I have a big day tomorrow." She took a step back, toward the door that was still adjar from being kicked in. She felt she should leave, as to not agrivate the situation further, but didn't want to be rude and just run out.

He gave her a small smile though he was still very worried about his son, he had lost a lot of blood not to mention that there was probably a blood trail to their house. He breathed heavily knowing that there wasn't a better choice but to bring him here. He looked at the girl and felt kidn of bad for what he had to say to her but not too much. Over the years Zeru and him have gotten use to letting people down to keep the people they care about safe. "Do you need a ride home?" He was the least that he could offer her for what she had done for his son.
In the world of his head Zeru wandered about, it was kind of a weird feeling. This world felt like it was real but he knew some where in his mind that it wasn't real. 'This must be what Jett feels all the time' he thought to himself and continued walking through a fogged area. He could faintly hear sounds but they weren't clear enough to know what the sounds where nor how to find them. He looked around and tried to recall where he was, he remembered clearly that Yuki had found him but even that was strange. Why would he remember only her and nothing else?

Yukina smiled slightly and gave a shake of her head. "That's very kind, but Zeru might need something." She was also hoping that the quiet walk back might give her some time to think. After all, tonight had been very busy and she needed to have a clear head and conscious tomorrow if she wanted to find an outfit for her father's birthday party tomorrow. That was what she should have been focusing on...if it meant that it would be better for everyone in this situation. Yukina realized she'd left her shoes on in the house in all the commotion and gave a small bow, the blush coming to her cheeks at having broken a tradition in most house holds. "Have a good night." She said, just picking something to say, so that she could turn and leave. She made her way out to the streets, grabbing her umbrella that she'd at least left by the door. It wasn't raining as hard as it was earlier but she didn't want to catch a cold either. But the further and further she got away from Zeru's, the more mixed her thoughts became. She related all that had happened and really questioned her sanity in going along with it. Perhaps her friends were right. She was too gullible, trusting and perhaps a little too optimistic in her thinking. "But at least I helped...kind of like repaying him for saving me that time." She thought that over and gave a small nod. She was just repaying a debt, nothing more right? Though Zeru was attractive and smart and popular-She dropped the thought quickly. 'Not my place-Not my place-' She chanted in her mind, though she couldn't shake a final thought. Was that all some kind of act? She gave a sigh, knowing as she approached her apartment it would be a lot harder to just forget what happened than she ha planned.

He bowed to her though he had hoped that she would have let him but he let it go with his thoughts wandering back to his son. Part of him hoped that she would be ok walking home, who knew what harm could come to her after this. If the person who did this to his son was still watching then she could be in serious danger. He sighed heavily and finally sat down on the small in the room.
Through the night his father was changing bags of blood for Zeru when finally it seemed to slow down, the color in Zeru's face had come back near the morning hours and he was looking a lot better. He thanked every second that his son was still alive and had been as strong as he hoped he would be. Part of the fact that his son was a natural born killer but he also hoped that the day would never come that he would kill.
"Ugh" Zeru groan and he actually felt his vocal cords vibrate. That was his voice that was making that sound, that could only mean that he was out of his mind finally. But he still had yet to find Jett when he was there, it was strange that he would be gone for this long. Zeru rolled his head to the side waiting for a headache to appear since he had been sleeping for so long but nothing came. He carefully opened his eyes and saw his dad sleeping. He smiled faintly and then opened his eyes fully. He looked around the room and couldn't remember when he had gotten home or how. 'Morning lazy' sounded in his head and Zeru about jumped to his feet though his leg had stopped him "Where the hell have you been?!" Zeru screamed and then clamped a hand over his mouth. His father shot awake from his spot and was wide eyed. Jett started laughing at the commotion and then his father ran over to him "Oh thank the heavens. You're awake" he wrapped his arms around Zeru's neck and hugged him.
Zeru was a little confused by his fathers actions but hugged him back anyways and what was that...was his father crying. "I'm fine dad. Really" he told him, trying to calm his father down. His father let the hug drop and rocked back on his heels "You were out cold last night. A girl was barely able to get you home. What happened" "Hm..." Zeru inquired to his father trying to think about what happened but he was drawing a blank. "I'm not sure. I was going for a walk since you weren't here and then it's just blank" His father got to his feet and stared at Zeru as if he was in thought. "Well I'm going to make you something to eat, you stay there and rest" Zeru nodded his head and once his father was out of the room he had the chance to rip into Jett.
"Where the hell were you?" He asked again and Jett was quiet for a moment but Zeru knew he was still there, he could feel him now. 'When you were attacked you had let me take over but it was only brief and then you pushed me back, taking your body. From there you started to lose consciousness and since two minds can not inhabit the same brain you had locked me away. Because of the contract I can not just switch and take your body so I get locked away till you can take your body' Zeru relaxed a little more against the couch knowing that Jett didn't just vanish. Even though the guy put Zeru on edge and pretty much isolated him in his life Zeru had grown attach to having another person with him all the time. "So then you saw the whole thing you just couldn't reach me?" Zeru asked hesitantly, hoping that he could get some answers about last night. 'Yes' Zeru sigh in relief "Alright then start recapping for me"

Yukina woke up about 8, well more like she gave up on sleep. She'd had been waking up a bit during the night, a little troubled about last night. However she dorced herself to ignore the thoughts and got up to start her day. She got a shower and fixed herself up before heading to the kitched for something to eat. She opened her fridge, only to remember that last night she hadn't gone to get food. "Lovely...looks like I'll be getting a head start on dress shopping..." She needed to go out and get groceries anyways, and besides, the party was tonight so she needed the dress soon. She went to her room and grabbed her purse, making sure the money from her father's advisor was there so that she'd have something to buy the dress with. When she exited the building, she ignored the sounds of traffic nearby and tried to picture how quiet the city was last night. She enjoyed the quiet of her home in the suburbs of Chicago over the loudness of Tokyo. She hoisted the purse onto her shoulder and tried not to appear so awkwardly lost as she wandered the streets of the shopping district. Stores were all around her, and she felt a bit pressed to at least look at a few of the windows. But everything she passed was insanely expensive with taxes and she wasn't sure she could afford any of the bargain stuff either. After all she hadn't really counted how much Takano had given her. She instead fled to the nearest convience store and grabbed a small snack to at least soothe her hunger over. She knew it wasn't exactly healthy but the food was quick and cheap. And it also ate up some of the time to use for dress shopping. She wandered over to one of a the store windows with her meat bun in hand and looked at one of the dresses there. She thought for a moment whether or not to even go in but just couldn't decide. She didn't even know where to start with this whole finding an outfit buisness.

Zeru's father had brought him some soup and a piece of bread, he told him that his body probably couldn't hand much more at the moment. But Zeru was starving at the moment though he didn't want to object to his father so he gave him a smile and took the food willingly. He ate it slowly knowing that his father was right about not being able to handle much. Though he finished the soup and bread quickly and set it off to the side, after that his father came back into the room and removed the blood drip from his arm.
Zeru was finally able to stretch his body with out his father yelling at him but he couldn't get off the couch just yet. "So how long are you taking me out of school?" He called to his father that was in his study "Well you've got one more day for your weekend and then your cram school starts up and then the next day school starts so I'm going to keep you out till school starts so you'll just miss one day of cram school" he called back and Zeru rolled his eyes. So even getting stabbed in the leg and almost bleeding to death his only gets one day off. Well it was better then sitting around the house all day and even he knew that he should be almost back to normal when school started back up.

Yukina was looking at one of the dresses in the shop window when a woman stormed out. She was dressed in a ravishing fur coat, high heels, and skirt only half decently covering her. She was completely beside herself in rage, leaving in her wake her husband and a rather terrified botique specialist. Yukina slunk in, surveying for herself the situation from one of the hanging shelves full of shoes. "She's just in a bad mood...She can get touchy when her orders aren't followed." the husband said and the botique girl shook her head. "B-But sir, this is the dress she wanted. In the right color too." "No she wanted it in egg shell white. That's obviously lily white.""But it's a special ordered dress. It can't be sold at the same price-!" "Sorry but I can't pay for it if she won't wear it." The husband left, leaving just Yukina and the botique clerk. Yukina saw the girl give a dismal huff and turn to take the covered dress into the back. Yukina looked down at her purse and then at the covered bag the dress was in. "Excuse me." Yukina hurried over to her when the woman stopped and turned to face her. "Yes miss?" Yukina put on a bright smile and pointed to the dress in her hands. "What size is that?" "An 8 but Miss it isn't a store brand-" "It's okay. I'd like to try it on.""But Miss I haven't determined the price since it has to be sold at a sale-" "I'll take it for what she paid to make it." The woman gave a sad smile before nodding. "Okay..." Yukina followed her to the dressing room and slipped on the dress. After everything was set, she stepped out, looking at herself in the mirror. *the dress* "It's pretty I think.." She whispered, flitsing with the skirt a little. "It's lovely and European. Mrs.Amane was one of our best customers." Yukina nodded, turning a bit. "But is this good enough for a formal event...let's say a birthday for someone very important?" The girl nodded. "Yes. one of the best." Yukina smiled brightly at the girl. "Then I'll take it." The girl blinked and looked really suprised. "Um Miss I don't think you can afford it." "Well I don't know exactly how much this is," She reached in and grabbed the money in the envelope and gave it to the girl, "but it should cover it." The girl opened the evelope and her jaw fell open. "Is it enough?" She asked and the girl nodded slowly. "With cash back."

Zeru finished up his food and his father had finally left him alone for a little bit. In that moment he undid his bandages and looked at his wound. “Eh, wasn’t as bad as I thought” he mentioned to Jett for once and he just got a huge smile on his face ‘It’ll be a nice little scare to show off to the ladies…oops I mean lady’ Jett started to laugh hard and Zeru just rolled his eyes “Even if I wanted to show a girl, I couldn’t tell her how I got it” ‘Not my problem’ now there was the Jett that he knew, he felt nice having him back but he still didn’t like the sarcasm that dripped off of Jett’s tongue. Zeru smacked his forehead a little and Jett’s mind reeled back. ‘Ass’ he grunted and Zeru had a pleasant smile after that.
After a few hours of lying on the couch he couldn’t take it anymore and got to his feet. Zeru walked to the back of the house to his father’s study and leaned against the door frame “So how’s your publisher doing? You never told me” His father turned around and was about to yell at his son for moving but noticed that he wasn’t putting much weight on his leg. He turned back around to his book “He’s good. Looks like the new book will be able to come out on time next week” Zeru nodded his head, good now they can pay the bills on time this month and go grocery shopping. “How has school been?” His father asked and Zeru gave a huge sigh “I'm taking over student council” that got his father’s attention and just stood there waiting for his response “Well I want to say congrats to you but you don’t sound happy about it” “I would have been fine with it if I was picked at the start of the year and if I wasn’t being blackmailed” he told him and his father walked up to him placing a hand on his shoulder “I’m sure that everything will work out but for right now you shouldn’t worry about it and go get some rest”
Of course he wasn’t going to get any helpful advice from his father but he did as he was told and this time made his way to his room. If he had to lay on that couch for even another minute he was going to go insane. When he walked into his room and shut the door behind him and laid face down on his bed. ‘Want my advice?’ Jett chimed in but didn’t sound like he was going to be that helpful “Not really Jett”

Yukina felt rather proud of herself with her dress in hand and nice pair of new shoes in a bag hanging from her arm. She hadn’t expected her father’s assistant to give her so much money, but perhaps he thought she might be one of those girls that loved to spend money shopping till her supply was dry. She couldn’t really ever get into shopping, considering that she never really bought the latest styles. She just bought whatever she liked and saved up for the more expensive things. This dress was probably the first and only expensive clothing she bought, the shoes hardly made a dent in her left over cash anyways. With a bright smile she hummed to herself, wondering just how this day became so much less nerve wracking. She was meeting her father in less than a good couple hours and she had no way of finding out if Zeru was alright. ‘Wait not involved...but he was hurt...perhaps If he isn’t in school then I can worry.’ She wondered, walking with a sway in her step back to get ready for tonight.

It was a couple of hours of Zeru laying face first on his bed before his father came up and knocked on the door. He poked his head in and Zeru rolled his head to the side to look at him “I’ve got to go out for a couple of hours to meet the publisher once more and get everything together for the tour and book signing. Are you going to be ok while I’m gone?” Zeru rolled his eyes, he was just a little banged up, it wasn’t like he was an invalid “yea dad. I’ll be just fine” he told him with a little bit of resentment in his voice “Stay in the house” “I know dad” his father finally left and he rolled over on his back to stare up at the ceiling.
“Ugh” he groaned out and placed his arm on his forehead. What was he going to do now? He wondered what Yuki was up to, after hearing the whole story from Zeru she was probably afraid to be around him. Maybe she would stay away from him at school now and that was going to be sad. The first normal girl to talk to him that didn’t fawn over him and she probably wasn’t even going to come near him. Well that was the price that he paid for the life that he lived but it was better than her getting her or even killed.
