Yukina gave herself a long hard look in the mirror. She'd been in her room for a good few hours, just trying to decide what to do. First she had to get up the courage to actually put on the dress, then she had to work up the nerve to actually go to the party. It would have been so much easier of a decision if she knew what she was dealing with. She knew nothing about her father, had only seen the man on TV once or twice and a few pictures her mom had. Would he be serious? Funny? Nice? Old? or did he just want to see what she looked like? She gulped, now that she was just scaring herself. "Quit being a baby and go find something to wear with the dress. Only have an hour to get ready." she darted into the back to throw on everything she needed for the event of meeting someone that was as good as a stranger in her life.

'I really wish you would stop whining all the time. It's starting to get on my nerves' Jett groaned and Zeru smacked his forehead sending Jett in pain. "My life, I can do and think what I want" he snapped and then got to his feet. He headed over to his window and looked out. The rain had stopped, most likely awhile ago but he still couldn't suppress a shiver that ran down his spine.
He really had nothing to do and no one to see while his dad was out. Though it wasn't like he would be able to go outside or any where else in his condition. So he ventured into the living room and wandered around there for a minute looking at everything and seeing if he wanted to read a book or watch tv. But then he wandered into the kitchen looking through the fridge for who knows what but then left the room finding nothing appealing and sat down in the living room this time and turned on the tv to a useless channel. Mostly to have background noise or something to zone out on.

Yukina stepped out of the taxi and felt her breath catch. There she stood, looking up at the large building and feeling more like an ant than a person. No perhaps it was that she felt more like an outsider compared to the men and women that were entering the hospital’s lobby through the large, open glass doors. They were all dressed elegantly, looking very much different than her, obviously from very wealthy families and with their own incomes. She couldn’t compare to that, not after having been raised by a single mother who worked as a secretary for a local doctors clinic in Chicago. But no one here would know that. No one here knew just who she was. This was a chance for her to be something else it seemed, be a strong, independent, billionaires daughter that she never was. Perhaps an act would be enough to get her through the night. Perhaps it would impress her father. She gave a small gulp and straightened her dress self-consciously. She could feel her heart hammering in her chest and even her knees started to tremble. But slowly and surely she made her way to the doors and into the lobby. The lobby was spectacular, all sterile and art deco in feel. It looked more like an expensive corporations lobby rather than that for a hospital. She followed the people to an off shot room behind two wooden doors. There the doorman, checked her invitation before letting her into the room. She was awestruck by the giant room. It was a vast room, saved perhaps for meetings or special occasions, with wood floors and cream and green walls. Everywhere art pieces of natural things and glass sat with intimidating intricacy, to the point she found it all flowed together in a way. She had to snap herself out of the daze quickly, at least long enough to realize someone was walking up to her. Her breath caught for a moment as the man drew closer, but a closer look reveled it was only her father’s assistant. “I’m glad to see you could make it Ms. Yukina.” He said with a small bow, one that Yukina returned with a slight bit of disappointment. “I’m glad I could be here Mr. Takano.” She straightened and looked uneasily back at the party goers around her. Takano noticed her unease and quickly cleared his throat. “There is someone that wants to meet you.” That got Yukina’s attention quickly. She whipped her head around to look at him, her eyes slightly wide. “R-Really-Now?” ‘Oh no, I’m not ready...not ready to meet him.’ She thought but to her slight joy he nodded. “Come this way Miss Yukina.” He said rather apathetically before turning on his heels and walking into the crowd. Yukina followed obediently, all the while wondering just what she to say when she met her father for the first time.

The tv had only entertained him for so long and turned it off at this point. Zeru walked back into his room and over to his backpack that hung off the back of his desk chair. He stuck his hand into the main pocket and fished around for a little bit looking for his phone. The piece of technology and taking him months to save up for but it was a good purchase for him. He could keep in contact with his friends, his dad, school and what ever else he needed it too. Zeru was a little disappointed when it wasn't in there and then he had to think of where it was.
Zeru searched around his room for a little bit thinking of the last place he had it with him 'Before you went out yesterday. Front pants pocket' Jett piped in a little annoyed and then the light went on in Zeru's head. He was right, before he had gone out he was thinking of texting his father. He walked back into the living room and hunted for his torn up pants. "There's no way that it got thrown away" he commented but walked into the kitchen anyways and trifled through trash and there were his torn up pants.
He sighed with relief that the trash hadn't been taken out yet, so he pulled his phone out of the scraps of his jeans and opened his phone. He dialed several numbers trying to get a hold of someone that could occupy him for a while before he went nuts.

Yukina held her breath, following close to Takano. Though she felt stiff and her heart was still racing, all the while she kept repeating in her head that everything would be fine. No matter what happened, she would come out of this okay. She kept telling herself that but, for some reason she couldn't quite believe it. What if the meeting went wrong? What if she wasn't what he expected? What if he only shunned her? She was practically to the point of hyperventalating at this point and startled easily when Takano spoke. "Mrs. Takeada, the girl is here." Yukina blinked, her shock leaving her in a dumb stupor for a moment. Surely Takano was wrong. He meant Mr. Takeada, not Mrs. Takeada. She peeked around him only to find a woman standing there in a black evening gound, her dyed reddish brown hair done up in a high bun. It was obvious by her face that she was close to her mid 40's, her pale skin wrinkled a bit at the corners of her eyes and at her lips as she smiled at Yukina. It wasn't a warm smile, Yukina could sense it was only a practiced formality. The woman's dark eyes betrayed her assessing intent at which she stared at Yukina with. "Thank you Takano." She said pleasantly, but didn't take her eyes off Yukina. "Miss Yukina this is Mrs. Takeada, Mr. Takeada's wife." Yukina stared back at the woman, too far lost in her silent stupor to even manage a smile. It was as if one of her worst fears had been realized and were playing out infront of her. The woman didn't seem to mind her silence and simply jumped to a greeting. "Well Yukina-chan, I'm glad you could join us tonight. It's good to finally meet you. Takano has told me alot about you..." Yukina tried for a smile but it was too weak to support itself for long. She wanted to slink back behind Takano but a simply wave of the woman's hand in his direction and he was gone. Yukina felt abandoned with this woman, who obviously knew her situation. But how much of it did she really know? After another long silence the woman said cheerfully, "I'm so glad you got your invitation." That made at least a little of the tension over Yukina break. "Y-Yes...I'm thankful that you invited me..." She said quietly, just as another voice joined in. "Mother are you bothering the guests again?" A young man said as he came to stand beside the woman. He was a good head taller than her with a head of black hair and his mothers dark eyes. There was something about him though that seemed so familiar, like she'd seen him before. The boy looked at Yukina and frowned a bit in confusion. "Who's this?" He asked and his mother gave him a playfully reprimanding look. "Don't be rude, Ichiro. This is Yukina, the American." As if struck by sudden realization, his face fell into a narrow eyed glare, one that startled Yukina at the despise it seemed to radiate. "Oh." Was all he said, his glare not easing any. She gave a shake of her head before looking back to Yukina. "Sorry, my son, can be a bit quick to judge." Yukina gave an uncomfortable clearing of her throat, not sure how to respond. So this boy was this woman's son...did that mean that she and him were related? "It's okay." She lied and the woman nodded with a happy smile. "Boys will be boys. Anyways, how has your trip to Japan been so far?" Yukina and the woman spoke, her son standing next to his mother like a sour faced statue. Yukina wasn't sure what to do or say, just nodded and answered the woman as best she could, all the while praying that she could get through this and go and find her father.

It had taken bout thirty minutes to find someone to just talk to and even then it didn’t last that long. Zeru had finally given up and texted his father telling him that he was gonna go out for a little bit. With much protest from his father he finally agreed to let him go out but only for an hour. It was better than nothing in his mind, so he went and changed into some cleaner clothes and grabbed a few blades out of his drawer. He wasn’t going to take any chances this time if he was attacked.
Once out on the front porch he took a deep breath in, it felt nice to just be outside the front door. However Zeru looked up and down his street looking for anything that might jump out for him. ‘A little paranoid now Zeru’ he squinted his eyes and if anyone was watching him it looked as though he did it without a cause ‘Hush it’ he barked out at Jett and then he realized something. He had been getting a little snippier with Jett lately, where as he was usually a push over with it came to murderous other half.
‘It’s because you are getting to be more like me’ Jett said with a little bit of a happy tone in his usually taunting voice. ‘Doesn’t matter if I get more like you, I still won’t give you what you want’ he thought and then proceeded down the stairs onto the sidewalk once he felt it was safe enough ‘You keep thinking that’ Jett snickered to him and Zeru just rolled his eyes and kept walking north down his street.

Yukina was begining to get impatient and that was hard for her to admit usually. This woman didn't stop talking, in fact she talked so much Yukina could hardly keep up on the conversation. She eventually just began to put in small "yes"s and "Oh really?"s. It wasn't till Yukina looked away at the crowd that the woman finally stopped talking. "So Yukina, what brings you to Japan?" Yukina paused, glancing over at the woman. She had to be careful with how she answered. "I wanted to see where I'm from..." The woman looked at her and Yukina saw a small frown tugging at her lips. "Well you've come to the right place at the wrong time." She said quite snipply just as people began to clap and congragulate someone nearby. Yukina looked in that direction, not quite thinking about what she might find. As soon as she looked at the small crowd, a man stepped from the group. He was tall in stature for a japanese man in a well tailored suit, with dark hair and blue eyes. He had an intimidating seriousness to his angled face, something that made Yukina gulp. She froze at the relization of who it was, especially when the woman beside her seemed to glow with joy. "Hello darling!" The woman said, walking to the man's side to kiss his cheek. Yukina stood there for a moment watching the way the woman got close to him, to Yukina's father. "Having fun Ayame?" The deep trebble in his voice made Yukina's eyes widden a bit in awe. This was the first time she'd heard him speak, ever and couldn’t help her shock. Little did she know though that she looked rather stupid standing there like a mute little girl. Ayame smiled secretly to herself and tilted her chin in Yukina’s direction. “Kouhei, have you met Yukina yet?” Yukina stiffened when he looked at her with his cold eyes. He stared at her, something in his look resembling shock but collected. She tried to speak but nothing came out, so she settled for a quick bow. “H-Hello.” Was all she could say, eliciting a laugh from Ayame. “Poor thing is nervous.” Yukina’s cheeks began to burn bright red till she heard her father clear his throat. “Welcome. It's wonderful that you could make it here to the party.” He said in quiet fluent English, making Yukina look up at him. He didn’t recognize her...not that she expected it... “Thank you, I’m happy to be here.” She answered back in Japanese. This time it was her father’s turn to be surprised. “You speak Japanese quite well. I thought you were American.” “Yes I am, but my mother taught me Japanese...” He gave a nod. “That’s good. It’s always good to learn another language. So what brings you here to Japan then Miss Yukina?”Yukina smiled, her heart beat quickening. It was time to talk to him, to finally tell him she was his daughter. She opened her mouth but Ayame beat her to the words. “I told you dear, she’s my cousins daughter. She’s here to study abroad.” Yukina had to struggle to keep her mouth from falling open. Did Ayame just lie to him? Her father looked from Ayame to Yukina, both looking at each other with static in their stares. Yukina thought of correcting her but made herself stop and think. Why would she do something like this? “Ah I see, well she won’t have any trouble. You seem like a very intelligent girl.” He said and Ayame nodded with a bubbly giggle. “I told you you would like her.” She said and he nodded. Suddenly, as if sensing the tension, Takano was by her fathers side. "Sir, there is a man looking for you...” Her father nodded, giving a small bow to Yukina. “It was a pleasure meeting you Yukina.” He followed Takano away, letting Yukina deflate in sadness. She hadn’t been able to connect with her father at all. He didn’t even have time to talk to her...She looked to Ayame, who stood trying to cover her smile that was on her lips. Yukina felt shock and annoyance at that smile. Her eyes narrowed as she tried to calm her voice. “What was that all about?” Yukina asked and Ayame’s smile faltered a little at Yukina’s obvious anger. “Can we talk in private sweety?” Ayame said, motioning to a door way that lead to a balcony. Yukina nodded stiffly, following Ayame to the glass double doors.

Zeru kept a close eye on the time just so he wouldn’t break his father’s trust but he couldn’t help wanting to be out longer. He had only been walking around for about fifteen minutes but eventually he would have to go home and then it was back to school. With a heavy sigh Zeru made his way down a semi-main street. The town was quiet large but in the neighborhood he lived in you could go only a few blocks and gather everything you would need.
Soon his mind drifted onto Yuki again and wondering what she was up to, he really wanted to know if she was scared of him now. He really didn’t want to lose her as a potential friend but knew it couldn’t be helped if she steered clear of her. ‘Would you just face up to the fact that you like her’ ‘Yes I like her but not like you think I do’ ‘Buddy, I’ve been all around inside your brain and I know for a fact you like her like that’ Jett pestered him some more and the argument continued.
Without realizing it Zeru was walking in front of the hospital and for a brief second a shiver ran down his spine forcing him to stop. His eyes wandered around the street trying to find the cause and when his eyes landed on the glass doors of the sterile building. “How in hell did I end up here” he thought out loud and then quickly moved across the street from the building.

Yukina walked out into the afternoon air, feeling the breeze tug at her dress. She was instantly hit with the sounds of traffic since this was a rather busy part of town. She didn't mind it, neither did Ayame. The two simply stood there staring at one another. "So," Yukina began, "I'm your cousin's daughter now?" Ayame didn't answer. She instead turned and walked to the railing, her eyes scanning the city around them. Yukina didn't move beside her, only stayed tensely in place. "Why did you lie to my father?" Yukina quickly realized her mistake and covered her mouth as if she could quickly seal her words away. It was too late however. Ayame looked back at her, her eyes narrowed viciously. "That's exactly why I said it." Yukina blinked not quite understanding. "Y-You mean you knew that I was-" "Of course I knew! Takano told me the day you arrived just who you were. Who do you think has been paying for you to live here?" Yukina was surprised by how bitter and angry this woman could sound, after just speaking so softly and sweetly. Was that all just an act? She had known the whole time who she was, had paid for her to stay, but why? Yukina gave a small shake of her head. "I don't understand...you obviously don't like me-" "Don't like you? Darling your a thorn in my side." Yukina's eyes narrowed. "Then why let me stay?" Ayame tensed before she turned to face her. There was a frown twisting the corners of her red lips, one that made Yukina's stomach clench in fear. "Why? It's rather simple...I want to shatter that illusion your still holding onto, the one of a happy family that that mother of yours no doubt filled your head with." Ayame walked up to her, her heels clicking on the tile in a rather ominous way. "but what she regrettably forgot to mention to you was the truth of her and my husbands relationship-if you could call it even that." She scoffed, placing a hand on her hip. Yukina tried to argue with her but her words were stopped when Ayame began again. "She was nothing more than a mistress, his secretary no less that was from America. She came to Japan for some big adventure and ended up working at the hospital with husband somehow." With a long fingered an well manicured hand, she touched Yukina's cheek. Yukina was too frozen in shock to move. "You have his eyes," Ayame said, looking into Yukina's blue eyes with dark ones of her own, "But that's all you have. To him your a memory better left forgotten. Just a product of a romantic conquest gone wrong." She forced her by her chin to look toward the party where she saw her father talking with Ichiro. "That is his son. A year younger than you I suspect. But that is his 'real' child. The one who he cares for more than you will ever be able to imagine." She released Yukina's chin, leaving a scratch where her nails clipped her skin. Yukina winced, covering the small scratch with her hand. Ayame folded her arms, her posture now straight and seeming more commanding. "I will not put up with some bastard child trying to ruin my husbands life just so that she can live off a fantasy and leech off his fortune." Yukina stared at Ayame unable to think of something to say. Unable to truly muster enough hate to say something back, she stayed silent. This made Ayame smile, a sardonic kind of smile that made her skin crawl. "Leave. And don't come back here. If you so much as utter a word to my husband, I'll make sure you're on a plane tonight." She walked past Yukina, disappearing the glass doors into the crowded room. Yukina stood there for a long moment, her eyes wide and her body frozen in shock. Her mind was racing over what just happened and she could hear Ayame's voice ringing in her ears. She stifled a choked noise of sadness, scared she might start crying there. She walked toward the door but felt her legs shaking beneath her. She tried to straighten herself but everything felt like it was caught in a whirl wind. In the blur of people and faces she found the familiar face of her father who stood on a podium. "Thank you, everyone, for giving your time to be here. This party probably wouldn't have happened without my family and all of you that supported me. This hospital means a lot to my family, for generations the Takeada family has focused their talents in healing to helping others, and the medical advances of the future. It is my greatest honor to finally have accomplished yet another year of providing aid to my fellow man. Thank you." Everyone clapped and Yukina watched as Ayame took her place beside him and Ichiro joined her. They looked like the perfect family...Yukina looked away from them, quickly heading toward the door. She struggled past the people till she finally got to the front door. "Yukina-!" She looked back and saw Takano was trying to get to where she was. She gave him a narrow of her eyes before escaping onto the street. Due to her heels she didn't get very far. She hobbled a bit at the way the heels rubbed her till finally she was forced to stop at the street corner. She could hear Takano's voice carrying over to her but she didn't think about going back. Instead it only reminded her that he was the only one that cared where she was...perhaps not, perhaps he was sent by Ayame to drive another nail into her heart. She leant against the wall of the building, breathing uneasily as she tried to calm herself. She didn't know wether she was angry, tired, scared, sad or whatever. She just felt like getting home and crying. But just where was home for her? She looked away from the direction of the hospital, her heart sinking in sadness. "Mom why would you let me come here?" She whispered. Right now she was wishing she simply stayed in America, that she could have lived her life without knowing her father, that maybe she wouldn't have intruded into his life. 'But then I wouldn't have met Zeru...' She blinked at the thought and frowned a but. She wasn't suposed to have met Zeru in the first place it seemed, with the way his father acted and Zeru said he didn't get close to anyone. Did this also mean he would avoid her now? She looked at her feet with tears trickling down her cheeks. She didn't know what else to do at this point.

He thought about just keeping on his way down the street but something kept him there so he turned to face the hospital and stared. What was going on in there? There was more traffic coming and going from the building then normal so there must have been something going on. 'Bad place to just sit and stare Zeru' Jett pipped in after a few minute and he nodded his head. Jett had a point about being in this area for too long and even being near the hospital gave him the creeps.
Zeru sighed lightly and stuffed his hands into his pockets. With nothing else to do he turned back around and started back home. It would take him the last of his hour just to get back home before his father had a fit about him being out too long. Though not to Zeru's liking he had cross the street again but knew he would only be near the hospital for a few brief seconds.
'So Mr. Student Council President what do you plan on doing now. They've already attacked you once, don't think they won't do it at your school' Jett voice rang a little too happy in Zeru's head "Oh shit" he groan as he ran a hand over his face, he had completely forgotten about school. Zeru quickly looked around hoping that no one stopped at his outburst and then breathed easily. "I don't know Jett but I do know that you will cool your shit from now on at school or I'm going to lock you away for a while" 'Oh yea, just try it. I've gotten stronger since you've been slacking off' "slacking off, I've been doing everything to keep you from going completely psychotic" his voice rose a little and ended with Zeru grumbling. Jett was never going to let up and Zeru needed relief or he was going to go insane. But that was one thing his father couldn't teach him, it was something that he needed to find.
That was the thing that bugged Zeru the most about his father's teaching. The only thing he had given Zeru in that department was that his own killer was soothed when his father found his mother and then when he was born. But how was Zeru suppose to find someone like that when he couldn't get close to anyone. With a heavy heart he finally continued on home.

A honk of a horn came from infront of her making Yukina jump. She looked up and saw it was Takano's car. She frowned before looking away from the car. The window rolled down and she heard Takano call out to her, "Yukina, it's not safe to stay here." "Leave me alone Takano." She growled and he gave her huff. "Please get in the car Yukina. I'll take you home." She shook her head. He gave a huff and got out of the car. He walked over to her, offering her his hand. She glared up at him, the tears still dripping down her cheeks. She saw something pass through his features. It was almost like anger but not at her it seemed. "Get in the car Yukina." He said again quite calmly despite his look. She felt uneasy and hesitantly stared at his hand. His angry look faded into one of pure concern, making her shoulders lax a little. She took his hand and got up. She got in the passager seat, her eyes closing as she rubbed the tears free from them. Takano started the car and peeled away from the hospital, all the way staying perfectly quiet. "Yukina?" He finally said, making her let out a small grumble. "What Takana-san...?" She said, her voice slightly rough due to the fact she had been crying. "I didn't know that Ayame would...." "Don't lie. You knew she didn't like me." Takano shook his head. "She seemed genuinely interested in you, and when she offered to help you...I wanted to see that you were taken care of." "Well she definately took care of me. I've never felt this in my life..." She said, feeling rather nauseaos at the moment. She just wanted to curl up and cry, in anger, in sadness, in pure freustration with herself at how naive she was. Takano gave a sigh. "Not like that...and Ayame was just panicked...your mother was very important to your father-" "I can see that. I should just go back to America..." She whispered. Suddenly the car jerked to stop, making the car behind it blow it's horn loudly. Yukina's eyes widdened in shock and she looked over at Takano. "What the hell-?" "Yukina, your making a mistake." He said looking at her with a serious look. "What?" "You're father-Yukina you...." He seemed to be struggling to say something. She stared at him for a long moment before she shook her head. "I just want to go home Takano-san." Takano was silent another long moment before he put the car and drive and took her home. She stepped out of the car when they parked infront of her house but before she could leave Takano called back to her, "You looked very lovely tonight Yukina...no matter what Ayame said, you would make any father proud." Yukina gave him a small frown, not understanding why Takano was being so nice now. She walked past his car and let him drive away, all the while thinking just how she was suposed to feel at the moment.

Once at home Zeru just went to his room and stripped down to his boxers. He wandered into the bathroom in the hall and then pulled out a bottle of pills. He really needed to get sleep and he hardly did this but he was at a loss of what to do. Zeru took one sleeping pill cause he didn’t want to completely knock himself out though just enough that he could actually sleep. After downing his glass of water he walked back into his room and slipped under the covers. Zeru was going to block out the world along with Jett. This way come school tomorrow he would be able to have a clear head and tackle the next item at hand. Student Council President. After laying his head on the pillow and he was able to close his eyes he was out for the night.
Come morning Zeru rolled over on his side stretching his back to work out the kinks “It was nice to sleep but that sleeping pill really knocked me out” he sat up in bed yawning into the back of his hand “Dad!” He called out hoping that maybe his father was actually up early for once. He held his breath waiting to hear anything “In the kitchen!” and he exhaled. That was a bit of a relief for once “Breakfast will be done in 5 minutes. You need to get up soon or you are going to be late for school” that was defiantly a shock there but he did get out of bed and dressed in a clean uniform. “What’s for breakfast?” He called to his dad as he exited his room and made his way to the kitchen “French toast and…!” He screamed out and Zeru covered his ears “you don’t have to scream dad. I’m right here” his dad turned around and gave an apologetic smile. “Sorry” Then he started to place the food onto plates and set them on the table. “This is very strange for you dad” “hey, I just thought I would do something for my son for once” and that was the end of it. They ate in silence and then his father saw him off to school from the front porch.
On his walk to school Zeru looked around the street, his normal route to school but it seemed odd walking it today. “Hey Zeru, long time no see…” someone came walking up to him from across the street “Or hear” and another voice “hey guys. Yea sorry about that, I had a lot to do this break and my father needed help” for a few minutes they walked in silence till they got a little closer to school “So what’s the word on the SCP” Kenji got a little closer to Zeru hoping to get information but Kojima thumped him on the head “What?! I know you are curious too” he glared at the other two there but then everyone turned to Zeru, he sighed heavily and rubbed the back of his neck “Alright alright. I took the job” that response got mixed responses but they all dropped it the moment they walked on campus.

Yukina woke up in a funk (lol do people still say that?). She just felt kind of sick, well perhaps more tired. She got dressed in her uniform, but just pulled her hair up in a simple bun instead of taking her normal care with it. She just wanted to get the day of school over with, so she could relieve some of her pent up stress at ballet. She hurried down the stairs of her appartment and walked to school. She tried to pull a smile across her face, but something about it felt wrong. Like she shouldn't be smiling. She wasn't a good person so she shouldn't be happy...She quickly shook off the thought and hurried to class. There Sayuri and Maka were sitting in their usual seats, talking about something that was going on. "You are so full of it! It's obvious that Juno-san is hotter than Matsudo-san." Maka giggled and Sayuri rolled her eyes. "Oi Yuki, what do you think?" Yukina looked up at them as she sat down. Her friends suddenly were looking at her kind of funny. She frowned in confusion. She didn't realize she looked just as exhausted as she felt. "I dunno. I've never met them." She said and Sayuri gave a small nodd. "So how was your weekend Yuki?" Yukina gave them a bright smile. "Wonderful. I went to a party." Was all she could say. She looked down, pretending to look through her bag as a sort of distraction. She didn't want to talk about the weekend. She pulled out her phone and saw there were two missed calls, one from her ballet studio and the second from America. She closed the phone and swallowed hard. She'd talk to her mother later. She looked to Sayuri and gave a smile. "Let's eat lunch today by the benches. I want to look at the sakura trees up the street from here." She said and Sayuir gave a small nodd. "Y-Yeah sure, Yuki." They knew something was wrong, she could tell by their voice. But they were kind enough not to bring it up, for that she thanked them.

Zeru was glad that when they walked on campus that most of the other students were already headed to their classes so he didn’t have to deal with being crowded. They quickly made their way to the lockers to put things away and then he grabbed a couple of his books. “So I’ll see you guys later, I’ve got to run to the office first to do the announcement with Satonaka-san and then I’ll be in class” the guys nodded their heads and then they party ways.
He still wasn’t looking forward to this but he had no other choice so he just sighed lightly while running a hand through his hair ‘you have a choice Zeru. Ditch these losers and go on a rampage’ Jett yelled at him and Zeru smacked his head making Jett recoil. At the door to the office he looked in seeing everyone tending to their own morning routine and then walked in “Morning Keiichirou” one of the ladies gave him a hug smile and he waved at her then proceeded over to Satonaka “Morning Zeru-san” he was greeted by him with a cheerful smile and Zeru just glared at him “Morning Satonaka-san”
They both sat at the chairs in front of the mike and turned it on “Good morning Osaka High. We all know the morning routine but this announcement is important so we are going to be deviating from the normal announcements. As many of you already know I will be leaving for America at the end of the week for my internship and many of you have been wondering who will be taking over my place for the rest of the year” Satonaka paused and looked at Zeru. Who was looking rather pissed at the moment but would not say anything. “Zeru Keiichirou will be taking over Student Council President for the rest of the school year”
Then Satonaka turned the mike to Zeru and he took a deep breath “That’s right Osaka High. I promise to keep things the same till the end of the year and when voting comes back around I hope you’ll vote for me next year for my last year at Osaka International High School, so that I can make this school even better for you” Zeru tried to hold a smile in his voice but it was hard. “Thank you for your time and I hope all of you have a good rest of the day” they turned off the mike and got to their feet “It was nice doing business with you Zeru-san” “If that’s what you can call it then alright” they shook hands and parted ways.
With that taken care of Zeru hurried back to his class and walked through the door hoping that everyone would just continue with what they were doing and leave him be. At least till the end of class, that way he could have some sense of normalcy till then. He looked around the classroom giving his apology to the teacher and then proceeded to his desk. Zeru searched for Yuki and when he found her sitting there she looked out of it. As he walked by her he place a hand on her shoulder and gave her a smile hoping that she would cheer up a little bit “Good morning Yuki-san” he whispered to her and then took his seat.

Yukina felt the touch to her shoulder and blinked, looking to Zeru. She saw that smile and felt that small bit of warmth creep its way into her rather numb feelings. It felt nice, a small gesture that went a good distance in her mind. Not to mention, it let her know he was still going to speak to her, despite the nights worth of warnings she got that he wasn't suposed to get close to anyone. She was still more than confused about that. What was it that would make his family so on edge about someone helping him? Why would Zeru also be so worried? She glanced at him and saw he looked quite content in his seat now. Aparently his leg had healed well, well enough that he could come to school and give his announcement as the standing student council president. She wanted to congragulate him but something told her that was better left for later. After all, he didn't seem overly happy to be the president. Actually he seemed a bit too nonchallant about it. 'Perhaps I'm overthinking.' She said before looking at the board, waiting for class to start, not even realizing Zeru had strayed her thoughts from her original worries.
