He didn't like the look she gave him but he just turned away like it didn't bother him. As he walked through the halls into the great hall he looked around at all the others and didn't feel like going in any further. "True" he said turning to her and just studied her face and then turned slightly away from her "Enjoy the rest of your night" he said and bowed his head slightly to her. Zero didn't feel like be social anymore and just wanted to go to his room and sit. He had a few things that he could work on not to mention the fact that he had to finish up his appeal to the dean so that he could have a little more freedom around the school and possible go to town this weekend. It could be fun now that he had a little something to do or perhaps someone to hang out with this weekend.

She felt his need to be away from everyone so she decided to let the boy be. Her patience was running low as well, and she had no more energy to be social. She didn't even feel like walking into the great hall but she needed those emotions. They were calling her, and something underneath her skin begged for her to move closer. Alyss saw him bow his head and returned it with a rather weak smile."I will. Perhaps we will meet again, Mr. Caldwell."
With those last words she entered the dining hall, her body quickly hidden from view as she tried to blend in with the other students. -------------------------- Halloween night was the perfect time to be out and about. It was one of the very few times vampire were able to walk freely among the mortals. Alyss left Lilith's as soon as she was able to leave without having to worry about being burned by the last rays of the sun. This year she decided to wear her favorite blue dress and go as Alice in Wonderland. All she was missing was the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat. Down the street the nightclub decided to host a special halloween rave, so Alyss decided to go. She walked into the nightclub and as soon as she entered she could feel the bass from the speakers making the walls pound. People were dancing, all of them dressed in bright colors and different costumes. Maybe she would join the dancing later, but for now she decided to lean against the wall and watch the humans. Zero sat in his room writing anything down that he could think of that the dean wanted to hear. He wanted to get out for just a few nights and be apart of the world, even if it wasn't his world. To just roam the streets and be near the humans and possible others of his kind that weren't trying to suck up to teachers. He had behaved for years and listened to the teachers for the most part so he should be able to get out like he wanted. After finished up the paper that was required of him to write, it was the third time that he had to do this. The first two times were rejected and that just brought pain to Zero. To be stuck to the school while the others got to go out and enjoy themselves and indulge themselves but not Zero. He couldn't always control himself, not even after hundreds of years cause once he saw something he liked he just blanked creating chaos. *~*~*!*~*~* Zero walked calmly down the street his eyes closed just soaking in his surroundings, he couldn't believe that the dean finally accepted his appeal. Of course there were conditions that he were to follow but he would enjoy his time in the town. He was dressed in a simple outfit, some nice black dress pants, a long sleeve white button up shirt and a black vest that was embroidered with vines and flowers. He had his favorite dark purple top hat and a pair of comfortable dress shoes. It was nothing special to him and he didn't exactly dress up for Halloween but it didn't really matter to him cause of where he was going. Zero walked into the bar blending in with others around him not like they noticed, they all were too drunk or just didn't care about others around them. He maybe his way through the bar to a nice spot in the back where he could watch the humans, he was not here to feed but if the chance rose he would take it. Blood from a direct source was unbelievable good, that's what usually drove him over the edge and the fact that he wasn't able to drink from a source very often. The school usually gave him bagged blood that was cold stale and often tasted like plastic. Tonight was going to be a good night he could already feel it and his fangs were already out and ready for their first victim though Zero just sat there like nothing was going on inside his head and as if he was just sitting there enjoying the music.

It wasn't long before a handsome young man with dark hair and stunning bright eyes approached her. "Want to dance?" He asked. Alyss nodded, and followed him to the dance floor where they danced to a few songs. She didn't care for techo music but it was easy enough to dance to. "Why don't we uh, go out back?" he asked at the end of the song. She agreed and allowed him to lead her out side to a dark ally.
"I hate to do this, but...." he shrugged and pulled a gun out of the waist band of his jeans. "Give me all of your cash. NOW."
Alyss raised an eyebrow as he lifted the gun and pointed it at her head. "You better hope that if you pull the trigger, it kills me. "
"Wha- what do you mean?" He asked. Alyss could feel the fear rolling off of him, could taste the sweet metallic flavor on the tip her tongue. "Have you ever heard of Omerta?" When he shook his head she continued, "A wounded man shall say to his assailant, 'If I die you are forgiven. If I live, I will kill you.' Such is the rule of honor." To his credit, even though he stank of pure, raw fear, he didn't flinch as he put the gun to her head and pulled the trigger. Too bad he forgot to turn off the safety. Before he could blink Alyss had her fist twisted in his hair, while the other one gripped his shoulder hard enough to fracture bone. He tried to scream, but it he stopped when she pulled his head to the side and sunk her fangs into the soft tissue of his neck. Normally feeding didn't hurt the human and it was a very intimate experience, but after sampling his memories she decided to make it hurt. She fed off of his fear, his pain, and the way he relished taking control over his numerous female victims. He was a criminal, a murderer. Someone like him didn't deserve to live. He screamed as she bit harder, her teeth threatening to rip out his throat. Alyss never killed when she fed, but this.... this was different. As she fed with a savage intensity she could feel his life draining from him. He was too weak to keep a hold of his gun. It clattered to the ground. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

His eyes scanned the bar, yea he was looking for her but he was also just enjoying the scene. Maybe he did want to talk to her more or maybe he just wanted to be around her. For some reason it was easier to be around her and not have to try and hide his emotions. He thought about last night and how it felt, it was as if his emotions were just gone around her. "Hey there cutie, care to dance?" A girl dressed up in a sexy Pocahontas outfit leaned over so that her cleavage was showing for him to look at, like that would make him say yes. "No thank you" he said in his signature monotone voice and then she began to pout "Come one sexy. Just one dance and I'll even buy you a drink" she cooed and batted her eyes at him. He looked her dead in the eyes as the colored shifted a little "I said no thank you" this time his voice held a foreboding tone finally making the girl back off and walk way.
When he was alone again he sniffed the air trying to find her but instead of getting her wonderful scent he picked up the smell of blood. Right then he closed off his air ways and tried to forget the fact that he had smelt it. But that scent was hard to forget, it was something his body would search out on a constant bases. Not to mention the fact that he hadn't fed in nearly three weeks. Zero got to his feet and followed the direction the scent had come from, at the back door he just stood there against the frame of the door. He had a small smirk on his face, actually it was barely visible to those who didn't know him "You looked as though you enjoyed that" he commented, his eyes visible at the bottom of the brim to his hat. "Never thought the dean would be stupid enough to let me out and on Halloween nice at that" he commented again but not really expecting an answer from her, he just wanted to see her.

She was so busy concentrating on the memories that rushed into her head she didn't even notice Zero approached until he said something. His voice brought her away from her blood lust and dragged her into the present. Surprised, Alyss let the man drop to the ground. "Zero?"
she asked with a dreamy blink. The blood lust still had a hold of her. She was so preoccupied with thinking about draining the man of his blood and taking every last memory he had that she had trouble concentrating on her surroundings. "I was in the middle of something," she scowled. The man let out a little moan. He would survive, but the last thing he would remember was leading Alyss out of the bar. She would make sure her face would haunt him for the rest of his life. Maybe that would be enough to keep him from murdering another unsuspecting young woman. He was a little pale, but other then being passed out on the ground he looked fine. Alyss didn't look fine. She looked as if she just crawled out of one of the deepest pits of hell. Blood dripped from her lips, down her chin and smeared her chest. She even had it staining the fabric of her dress. Her eyes had a frenzied look to them that really made her a Creature of the Night, but the more she looked at Zero the more her eyes seemed to calm and her thoughts cleared a little more. "I almost killed him, you know." She said as a greeting. "I would have too... he's a thief, a murderer, a rapist. No one would miss him, and he wouldn't be able to hurt anyone else. He wanted to kill me you know." Remembering the gun, she spotted it laying at her feet so she kicked it deep into the ally. "Well.... I'm glad you came to join the party." Disoriented by the sudden rush of blood in her veins, and the memories and emotions that filled her, she had to use the wall to keep herself standing. He watched her and as she stood there talking to him he began to envy her. She didn't seemed that worried that she was going to kill him, even if he was a murderer she still would have done it if he hadn't came along. Not that it was his intention to stop her but none the less he just shrugged as she sneered at him. "You can kill him if you wish, I am not here to stop you. I just smelled blood and it's hard for me to resist it" he said still staring at all the blood smeared on her. Zero was having a hard time not bending over and picking up the passed out man on the ground and taking the rest of his blood. "Sorry that I interrupted your meal. You have a lovely night" He said and bowed his head again but this time he also tipped his hat to her. Then he turned and proceeded down the alleyway instead of back into the club. He didn't feel like going back in there just to be pestered and teased by some meek little girl. Maybe he would just head back to the school, he knew just like the dean that it was a bad idea for him to be released from the school even if it was only for a night. Though his whole appeal to coming out was so he could talk with Alyss some more, Zero knew that that was the reason the dean was letting him go out. He knew that the dean wanted him to be more social and what better person to be social with then Alyssa the dean had said.

Alyss' head cleared enough to see that he was leaving. As he tipped his hat and turned his back to her, she felt a sad sense of loss. His or her's? Or the man's laying at her feet? She was too disoriented to tell. "Zero?"
she called, her voice faint even to her ears. She let go of the wall and took a step forward, then another, before she tripped and almost ran right into the adjacent wall. Alyss wanted nothing more then to go after him, but the world was spinning so much she couldn't tell up from down. That's what happens when you go to fresh blood after drinking dead blood in baggies. She couldn't get drunk off of alcohol, but she could get drunk off blood. Too much blood, too many memories in such a short amount of time.... she needed to get out of here, back to the hotel she rented. If she didn't move now, she would probably pass out here in the ally and be nothing but ashes when the sun came. "Zero?" She called again. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Zero strolled along the alleyway onto the street humming a simple tune to himself, he was enjoying his night out for when he got back it would be another couple of years before he could appeal for another night out. He hated it to be this way but he knew that if he wasn't kept under control bad things could happen...and would happen. He took a deep breath and tasted the night but also something else. He turned around to face the way that he had come and he felt someone calling him. He decided to make his way back to the bar just to help himself feel more at ease but when he got there he actually did hear his name being called. He walked around for a bit and then spotted Alyss, his hand shot out to catch her before she fell. He wrapped an arm around waist to make sure that she was able to walk on her feet though he wasn't sure why he was doing this. He rarely touched other vampires or even humans. "Would you like some help?"

Alyss stumbled again, but this time she found Zero put his arm around her waist just in time. Reluctantly she nodded. "As much as I hate to admit it.... yes, I do need your help. I can't..."
she was interrupted as a memory belonging to the man assaulted her. "Think straight," she finished. Alyss fumbled though the contents of the little purse she had slung over her shoulder until she found a plastic card key with a number stuck to the front of it. "Didn't want to spend the day at the school, so I got a room. Help me get to it?' If she was in her right mind she would have hated the way she sounded so helpless, but as it was her eyes became unfocused as she was dragged into another memory. Zero didn't smirk or laugh or gloat to her about the event's unfolding tonight. He just took the key from her and headed off to her hotel, from here to there he just listened to her talk or ramble he wasn't sure what to call it at this point. He stopped at the hotel for a second and just stood there. He hoped that the person at the front desk didn't think that he didn't get her drunk so that he could take advantage of her or maybe there wouldn't be someone there. That would be a joy to him cause he didn't want to deal with anyone at the moment. He proceeded inside and walked down the many halls to find her room but once he was there he let himself in and then helped her to the bed. There he sat her down so that she could get comfortable "So here you are at your hotel room, is there anything else I can do for you before I had back to the school?"

The hotel was far from a shabby roach motel. Just by looking at it it was easy to see that it was a very expensive 5-star hotel. Her room alone was more richly furnished then most homes. Alyss sat the corner of the plush sleep number head as she stared on a spot on the wall. The room wasn't spinning anymore, and she was able to ignore the memories tugging at her brain. "Yes.... that's all."
Embarrassed, Alyss stared at the wall, then down at her hands, anything but at Zero. She didn't think she could handle any judgment or pity that might be in his gaze. There was a bit of blood smeared on the back of her hand from when she had tired to wipe it off her face. Thankfully since it was Halloween no one though it was suspicious for her to be splattered with blood. "Are you sure you can make it back before the sun rises?" [/blockquote][/blockquote]

"Alright then" he said in his signature monotone voice, he was rare when he didn't use it. Zero turned to head out of the room to give her some peach and quiet and space cause it looked like she wanted it from the way she was acting. But before he could walk out the door she had said something that sparked something in him. 'Did she really ask that?' He thought to himself and then turned to look at her but kept his eyes down-casted just in case she was staring at him "Um...it's not too far and I'm pretty fast...plus if I don't make it there before sun up it shouldn't be too much hassle" he said not sure of what she had meant by asking him that. Did she want him to stay there with her? No that couldn't be it, but he still couldn't pin why she would be concerned with him getting back before sun up. "Are you sure you're going to be ok?"

She repeated. The last person who asked if she was going to be ok was her father, and that was centuries ago. "I'm three-hundred years old. I can take care of myself." She couldn't help but give a little smirk about the irony. Finally Alyss looked up from her hands to glance at Zero. "I know you're probably wondering why I asked... I'm just anxious that the first person I've actually taking a liking to will be destroyed by the sun." If she could have blushed she would have, but as it was since her heart didn't beat there was no sudden surge of blood to color her pale cheeks. "I'm sure you're in a hurry to leave. You probably don't want to be stuck in a room with a murderer." Carefully she stood up, and when she found she was able to keep her balance she turned her back to him and proceeded to firmly shut all of the curtains. "I didn't mean it like that" he quickly said but wasn't sure why he was getting even a little upset about her words. He shut his mouth and then proceeded to leave once again but was stopped by her. 'She has taken a liking to me?' He thought to himself but wondered why, they had only met twice and barely talked the first time. He just followed her out here for...he thought on it again. There was no cause for him to have followed her out here, yeah he used her as an excuse to get out of the school for a night but that was it...wasn't it. He still stayed facing the door with his hand on the doorknob trying to figure out what the best plan of action would be right now. If he wasn't back to the school before sun up he was going to be in serious trouble with the dean and not to mention countless teachers that vouched for him but if he did leave Alyss would be hurt and worried as it sounded by her words.
But another part of him felt like he was intruding on her night out on the town and in her room. There was only one bed in this nice room of hers and being a guy he defiantly wasn't going to take a lady's bed from her. "We are vampires, we are all murderer's" he said softly so that she would understand that he wasn't wanting to leave because he hated her but because he had no choice. "If I left because of that then I would just be calling myself a hypocrite. So please don't think like that, I am leaving because I have no choice" he finally told her though he hated to admit that to her. He was getting close to being 6 centuries old and here he was still letting himself be looked after by others to make sure he doesn't repeat his past. He most of sounded like a little kid to her, yeah that was what she was thinking now so it shouldn't be too hard for him to leave and she probably would stop talking to him now because she probably thought that he was a new vampire. He sighed heavily, so much going on in his mind that it was hard to keep himself from breaking down or just jumping off a cliff to stop his mind. "I...would like...to stay here with you" he finally said softly.
